Roman tells Heyman that he does not feel like talking anymore, then Heyman takes the microphone and welcomes everyone to the island of relevancy and tonight's show, and states that this Sunday marks 700 days as Universal Champion for Roman Reigns. He then says that Brock Lesnar likes to "piss on everyone's parade," saying that Lesnar ruined The Undertaker's WrestleMania streak and burst John Cena's bubble and now looks to "ruin the party for Roman Reigns." Heyman says that Roman takes this personally and that he is tired of his legacy and Brock's legacy being intertwined, then says that nobody will have to think of Lesnar when they think of Roman because Roman will exercise the demon of Lesnar out of his legacy. He says that he, Roman and The Usos are tired of Brock Lesnar and that it is time for Lesnar to head back to Saskatchewan and slaughter some hogs, and because of Lesnar, Roman has nothing to say tonight. Heyman also says that after SummerSlam, Brock Lesnar will not be able to stand at all. Suddenly, Austin Theory shows up. Theory says The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso) talk a lot but forget that he is coming for the undisputed WWE Championship, then Roman asks Theory if he is going to stop just short of the ring before telling him to get in the ring and acknowledge him. Theory gets in the ring, then Roman and Heyman agree that they like Theory and what he is trying to do before Roman says Theory has no idea what he is doing with the Money In The Bank briefcase and that he needs a wise man. Roman tells Theory to look around and analyze the situation because "[his] daddy isn't here anymore" and this is his ring. This starts "Daddy's gone" and "Who's your daddy?" chants, and Roman tells Theory "I run the Garden now." As everyone leaves, Jey Uso smacks Austin Theory in the back of the head. Theory hits Jey Uso with the briefcase, and Roman holds Jey back before The Bloodline ultimately leave.

Rey also says that he also made a lot of friends along the way that he wants to thank, such as Dean Malenko, Konnan, Batista, Kurt Angle, Edge, and especially Eddie Guerrero. He says that he loves Eddie and misses him everyday, then says he would not be here without him and that he knows Eddie is watching over him. Rey then says he stands before the fans humbled by and thankful to the fans for the support over the years. He also says that to celebrate with his family means that much more, then thanks his daughter Aliyah and his wife Angie for always being there. Rey also says that one day, when he is no longer here, Dominik will be representing the Mysterio family to the fullest, then thanks the fans for rolling with the Mysterios and for rolling with him twenty of the best years. Rey also thanks all of the fans in the arena tonight, as he could have been in any place in the world, but he is here in Madison Square Garden tonight. Bianca Belair heads to the ring. Before Bianca can even say a word, Becky Lynch also arrives. Bianca quickly interrupts Becky and reminds Becky exactly who she is, and as she continues to comically interrupt her, Becky takes offense to the interruptions and strikes Bianca. This starts a brawl. Becky pulls Bianca out of the ring by her braid, then the two of them tumble over the announce table and continue to go at it until officials stop them.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Alexa Bliss. Alexa says Doudrop keeps demanding matches, but she does not understand her and Nikki A.S.H.'s dynamic and wonders why they are friends. After stating that she and Lilly are independent of each other to the point that Lilly makes her own money and is the #1 seller on WWEShop.com, she then says that regardless of who wins at SummerSlam, she is reclaiming her place on top of the women's division.

Backstage, Finn Balor and Damian Priest show up as Adam Pearce, Dominik Mysterio and the medical team check on Rey Mysterio, which proves to be a distraction that allows Rhea Ripley to superkick Rey in the jaw.

Alexa Bliss beats Doudrop after countering with a DDT despite being shoved off the top rope by Nikki A.S.H.

Backstage, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles talks with Logan Paul and is impressed with what he did to The Miz, then tells him that he has his back and to shut The Miz's mouth at SummerSlam.

It's time for Impaulsive TV with Logan Paul. Logan Paul calls out The Miz so they can finish what they started, but instead of getting The Miz, he gets Maryse. Maryse shows up and chews Logan out for disrespecting The Miz and mentioning their kids, then has a problem saying "genitalia" before settling for "package" on the subject of the size on The Miz's balls, which leads to a "tiny balls" chant. She also says that Miz has average-sized testicles, which leads Logan Paul to ask who measures their testicles. Miz shows up and says "I do, and so does every single man in this arena." Miz tells Logan that he gave him everything and that if it were not for him, Logan would have had nothing. He says Logan owes everything in WWE to him, then says he did not teach him everything and that he is getting the real Miz. Logan tells Miz to shut up and that all Miz does is talk, then makes fun of Miz's testicle size only to be slapped by Maryse, whom Logan says has "bigger balls than her husband." Logan is suddenly attacked from behind by Tommaso Ciampa, but Logan sees him coming and fends off both him and Miz. The numbers game soon takes over, and Miz hits Logan with a Skull Crushing Finale.

Backstage, Kevin Patrick interviews The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), The Usos and special guest referee Jeff Jarrett. Montez Ford says that The Usos will get a preview of SummerSlam tonight, but Jimmy Uso says The Usos will body them tonight. Jarrett gets between them and says that if anyone gets out of line, he will remember it come SummerSlam, and warns them to keep the peace. As The Street Profits and The Usos spout out catchphrases, Jarrett gets between them a second time.

Before the next match, Chad Gable mocks the New York City fans and says that New York City will collapse into the ocean due to its "human garbage," then says "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler will be a bigger embarrassment of a team than the New York Yankees. He then tells them to step aside for a real tag team.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles and Dolph Ziggler beat Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis). After the match, Styles and Ziggler narrowly avoid a post-match attack from Alpha Academy.
