Carmelo says he will take care of Ricky Saints tonight, then he will face him for the United States Championship. He calls Cody a product of the culture he grew up in where egotism, narcissism and nepotism is rewarded. He also calls Cody "a perfect example of the crumbling concept of the American dream," then says that he has earned his position while everything was one phone call away for Cody. Gunther says that makes Cody "a little, entitled brat," and admits that while they have the same profession, they are nothing alike. He says that Cody has to scratch that itch for approval, but for him, it is unnecessary, and that protecting the sport from people like Cody is all that matters. Gunther says that Cody only cares about himself and is his own biggest fan, and instead of a champion, Cody is "a mark for [himself]." Cody says Gunther is a liar, stating that Gunther has implied does not want the attention or even the feeling of being the Undisputed WWE Champion and knows that Gunther wants that attention; otherwise, he would talk to a 330 lb. version of himself at an indie show. He says that Cody Rhodes tried to intimidate him from being champion, and while he did not succeed, he did not tell him that being is champion is addictive. Cody says that Gunther will get close to that attention only to find out he is just not that good. After Cody says that he is easy to find and hard to beat, both men have a staredown, Gunther stops Cody as he leaves, promising that he will choke Cody out, drop him like a wet towel, and take the Undisputed WWE Championship with him.

He then mentions one driving factor that inspired him to push harder and harder, and that was being the man who cut the dead weight of The Don Callis Family loose. Fletcher says he has been trying to keep the family together for the better part of a year and that Takeshita kept driving a wedge between him, and that Takeshita did what was best for him when he was gone. He says that Takeshita never cared about him or the family, and that while he wanted to sit along the top of the wrestling business along Takeshita, it will never happen, because Takeshita is "a selfish prick." Takeshita shows up, and The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong, Mark Briscoe) shows up to back Takeshita up. The five of them make their way to the ring, and Fletcher, Romero, Mark Davis and Don Callis retreat. Takeshita says that he has the International Championship back, and now, he wants Kyle Fletcher.

Backstage, we hear from Will Ospreay. He talks about the history he has with Mark Davis, saying he was at 50% when he wrestled him last, and now that he is at 100%, nothing is stopping him. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley and PAC) show up, and Jon Moxley says it is time for the next match.

He says that they still stand in opposition to those in their way, and give opportunities to those who deserve it. He says that Bowens will get the standing ovation that he deserves, then mentions that he will be stepping away for a few months, as Hollywood is calling, and expects the rest of The Opps to hold it down.

We see a video package for Kris Statlander vs. Hikaru Shida in a Lights Out Philly Street Fight for later tonight.

Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for May 27, 2026

In backstage footage from after Double or Nothing, Will Ospreay has a chance meeting with Kenny Omega, who reminds Ospreay of The Death Riders' (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Daniel Garcia, "The Problem" Marina Shafir) untrustworthiness and ruthlessness as he tells Ospreay he could have done anything for him. Ospreay says that he only trusted in them because Omega was not around, but Omega says that the both of them are not who they once were. He tells Ospreay not to not trust them, but to be careful. Jon Moxley shows up and agrees, saying that everyone has their skeletons before telling Ospreay that the truck is outside. Omega tells Ospreay to call him if he needs him, and Ospreay tells Omega not to give up on the world title.

"The Jet" Kevin Knight heads to the ring to start tonight's show. The fans chant "Fuck you, Kevin" and "Shut the fuck up" as he says he did what he did because he told Darby Allin not to let him or the fans down only for Darby Allin to blow it just like the Philadelphia 76ers did against the New York Knicks. Knight says he decided to no longer trust the process and take matters into his own hands and do what he had to do, especially when he was the last person to humble MJF, and says it should have been him in the main event. He says that he had to watch from the sidelines as he states that he is not a bench player and that he makes highlights every time he is in the ring, because he is not here to take part; he is here to take over. Knight says he put trust in Darby Allin when he told him not to waste any time, and when Darby Allin did not get the job done, he did not waste any time leaving him in a pool of his own blood and standing on top of him. "Speedball" Mike Bailey shows up and tells Knight to listen to himself, and tells him that his ambition is his best and worst quality, and while they both want to be the best, Kevin Knight gets impatient and ahead of himself, and makes mistakes. He calls what Knight did to Darby a mistake and that he can fix things and make things right if he just apologizes, then offers his hand only for Knight to walk past Speedball, deny the handshake, and then hit Speedball with a clothesline. Knight then hits Speedball with a Uranage for leaving the ring.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona). Ricochet says Chris Jericho got lucky at Double or Nothing, and Bishop Kaun says he was mugged seven-to-one. He then says that the more he thinks about everyone being banned from ringside, Jericho will not have six other guys to save him when he has him beat tonight. Ricochet says that he has beaten Jericho twice and that nothing is going to change that.

Chris Jericho beats Ricochet. (In this match, everyone is banned from ringside.) After the match, Jericho is attacked from behind by Tommaso Ciampa.

Backstage, we hear from Andrade el Idolo, who says that he can now focus on winning the AEW World Championship and beating MJF now that Stadium Stampede is over. He says MJF thinks he is better than him, then asks "How you know?"

Rush beats Lio Rush, Orange Cassidy and "The Machine" Brian Cage in a SuperStation Showcase 4-Way after Brian Cage and The Don Callis Family (including a returning Jake Doyle) atack Orange Cassidy and carry him to the back.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews MJF, who is soon interrupted by "The Jet" Kevin Knight. MJF says Knight attacked Darby to show respect to him and that it meant a lot to him. Knight stops MJF and says Darby blew an opportunity that should have went to him, and that he will MJF for the World title when he gets that opportunity. MJF and Renee leave, then Kevin Knight runs into "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher. Don Callis shows up and tells Knight that if he is serious about being a double champion, he knows who to turn to.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor). Jamie Hayter says she took Thekla's head off, but next time, she will take the AEW Women's World Championship. Alex Windsor says her heart goes out to Willow Nightingale, but she looks forward to facing her when she comes back. As for her wild card opponent, she prepared for getting the piss beaten out of her week in and week out, and she hopes to chase her Wembley dream just like Will Ospreay. She hopes that her wild card opponent in the Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament has skin in the game, as she is going all out to become AEW Women's World Champion.

MJF is carried out on a platform while sitting on a chair before walking down some steps on the stage on his way to the ring. MJF declares that he has gotten his "Triple-B" back and says that Darby Allin is hanging his head in shame after he beat him with a move as basic as a standing headlock takeover for a third time. He says that professional wrestling has been around since the 1800s and that only eight men have been three-time world champions before the age of 30 and that people will talk about him "until the sun explodes," and hopes everyone is "remotely condescent" of how lucky they are to get to witness him in real time.MJF says that everyone is living in the greatest era imaginable because it is all about him, then tells the fans to get down on their hands and knees and bow before the greatest of all time. A banner saying "3x World Champion" comes down, then Mark Briscoe shows up and pulls it down before MJF gets angry at him. Mark says MJF is like a stranger in a strange place and does not fit in, and says it is like a penguin is wandering through the desert. He says that this is Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where some of the toughest people live, and MJF sticks out like a sore thumb because he is not tough. Mark says that MJF is self-absorbed and believes the world belongs to him and that he is above everyone else, then reminds MJF that it was not too long ago that he pinned him in the middle of the ring. MJF says he wants a shot at the AEW World Championship, then asks MJF if he will continue to be "a soft little bitch" or if he will man up. MJF bluntly says "No," saying AEW is a business and not just a sport, and that it is bad enough that Darby Allin even sniffed the World title.MJF then laughs at the idea of Mark Briscoe being the AEW World Champion, saying that Mark Briscoe would put AEW out of business. He says that there are levels to this, and Mark Briscoe is nowhere near "the level of The Devil." MJF leaves the ring, but before he can make it to the back, Rush suddenly shows up. He says MJF wants a fighting champion, then finds it funny that Mark Briscoe is a chicken farmer while MJF is "a chickenshit." He reminds MJF that he almost beat him, then makes it clear that he wants the AEW World Championship and that when you mess with the bull, you get the horns. MJF tells Rush that he is not the only guy who can speak separate languages, then says that he agrees with Rush, saying if anyone has earned a title shot, it is him, and says that he looks good, has won matches left and right, has a catchphrase people like, and looks more marketable than Mark Briscoe. MJF then asks him if he wants a World title match tonight before saying "Psych," and telling him that it will happen next week. MJF tells Rush to come prepared, as the bull is about to lock horns with the Devil.

We hear from "Jungle" Jack Perry, saying that he and Mark Davis have had their battles, and while the national tour is over, their rivalry has just begun. All of a sudden, Luchasaurs stops the bus, and this leads to a Rocky-style training montage.

Brody King beats Claudio Castagnoli to advance in the Men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage head to the ring. Christian Cage addresses FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), stating that they are without a doubt the toughest tag team they have ever shared the ring with, and that they brought out the best in him and Copeland. He says that they are "top guys" as advertised, but not "the tippy top." Copeland says FTR made the mistake of having an "I Quit" Match with two men who were told they would never wrestle again, refused to quit, and got their careers match. He then says that FTR are in the rear view mirror and that it is time to live in the now. Then, for the first time in 25 years, Copeland and Christian hit the five-second pose for the benefit of those with flash photography. Christian refuses at first, and also says they don't make flash photography anymore. Copeland pulls a black bag full of disposable cameras from 20 years ago out from underneath the ring and explains how to use them as he passes them around in the front row, but before they can do the pose, they are attacked from behind by The Dogs (Clark Connors and David Finlay). Clark Connors stands on Christian's hand on the ring steps, allowing David Finlay to strike Christian's arm with a shillelagh before the two of them trap his hand under the steps for a devastating double foot stomp on the top of the steps by Connors. Finlay then drills Christian with the shillelagh in the ring once more for good measure before choking Copeland out with the shillelagh and holding him down for a Spear by Connors. The Dogs then present a new five-second pose called "The new AEW World Tag Team Champions" for the benefit of those with flash photography.

Backstage, Prince Nana brags about what happened to Bandido at Swerve Strickland's hands at Double or Nothing, then tells Brody King that Swerve is taking the Owen Hart Tournament and getting back in the main event. Swerve congratulates Brody King on winning, stating that nobody would know who Brody is if it were not for him, then says that whoever gets in his way will be put down. He says that "conflict creates cash," and he plans to make a lot of money with Brody.

TayJay (Tay Melo and Anna Jay) beat Ava Everett and Allie Katch.

Backstage, we hear from "Speedball" Mike Bailey, who says that "The Jet" Kevin Knight made his choice. He says that if this is the road he wants to go down, then they will go down on opposite roads, and if Knight wants to show how good he really is, then they will see how that goes.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

Mark Davis beats "Jungle" Jack Perry to advance in the Men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament in a match that sees Jack Perry get slammed out of one of his shoes before he eventually ends up wresting without shoes or socks due to Mark Davis ripping them off.

He then addresses Naraku, stating that it is about time they meet face-to-face. Naraku shows up and heads to the ring, and D'Angelo tells Naraku to get straight to the point. Naraku says he wants to keep D'Angelo and his title safe, but D'Angelo does not buy it, and says he will take care of Hendrix before he takes care of him. Naraku says he will keep D'Angelo and his title safe because it is destiny that they go to war, then Kam Hendrix shows up and tells D'Angelo that he has seven days left before it is "Lights, Kam, Action" for the NXT Championship. Jimmy has no problem with Knight going for King of the Ring, saying that he will get a fair shot at Roman Reigns if he wins. Knight is not convinced after what The Usos did to Jacob Fatu and says that he does not want Jimmy to be third fiddle to Roman and be his errand boy again. Let's Go! - LFG recap for May 24, 2026

Elijah Holyfield is working on his first promo since his return from history and looking through it in the parking lot. In the ring, he talks about how his mind kept gaining knowledge while his bicep was out for five months, and now that it is healed, anyone who steps into the ring with him is in for a scary sight.

Matt Bloom assigns Bubba Ray Dudley with Braxton Cole vs. Andre Chase (who has since been released), with Andre Chase being brought in to give Braxton Cole, who is on his second match, someone more experienced to work with. Natalya gets Kali Armstrong vs. Sirena Linton. Booker T gets Nathan Cranton vs. Elijah Holyfield, who is now back from surgery. Kevin Owens asks if anyone objects to him doing commentary at the commentary table for this week's episode, saying that Booker T blazed a trail and that eventually he will not be wrestling anymore.

We hear from Andre Chase, who briefly talks about his time in NXT as well as his nearly 20-year career, and says that he got better from better wrestlers giving him feedback. He hopes that Braxton Cole takes his feedback. Bubba Ray wants to know how to get "The Ph.D. of NXT" to work for Braxton Cole, and Andre Chase figures out how to tell the story. Braxton Cole says that he wants to be able to manipulate people emotionally as part of his "smarter than you" gimmick.

Kevin Owens gets advice from Booker T on how to do commentary. Booker T tells him to "stick to the stats" and add some "nuggets," and to not speak too long on the extra information. Kevin Owens guests on commentary for the first two matches of this week's episode.

Braxton Cole beats Andre Chase. During the match, Braxton Cole brings the book he came out to the ring with into the ring to use as a weapon, and when the referee takes it away, Braxton hits Chase with a low blow behind the referee's back. The book that Braxton Cole comes out to the ring with is Beneath the Skirt by Chaz Warrington (better known as Headbanger Mosh). Bubba Ray is impressed with Braxton's ring IQ this early in his training. After the match, Bubba Ray tells Braxton to put more emphasis on the book during his entrance so that the referee tells him to put the book away before the match, and Matt Bloom tells Braxton Cole not to go for the cover right away when the babyface in the match is in trouble. Braxton says he needs to get more heat, and that he is going in the right direction.

Kali Armstrong and Sirena Linton get ready for their match. Natalya proposes a rest spot during the match so that Kali can match Sirena's energy in addition to setting up how the story they are telling is told. She wants Sirena to have a "fuck you" energy as a babyface and show it in the ring, then says that she and Kali complement each other in the ring and that they have the potential to put on a banger match. Kali likes to work with people newer than her so she can prove she is the leader she really is.

Kali Armstong beats Sirena Linton. After the match, Natalya says that both women did great and that the match was Sirena's best performance. Natalya says that she likes seeing Kali as a heel, and Kali says it reflects more of her natural self. Sirena says she has been in her own head and that she cares so much that she just wants to be the best, and Matt Bloom says that the wrestling business is a crazy business and to take the time to learn from every match.

Booker T speaks with Nathan Cranton before his match with Elijah Holyfield, thinking that Cranton will be the ring general in the match. Cranton agrees, stating that while Holyfield's family is part of a great boxing background, he has been wrestling for years. Booker then meets with Elijah, saying that time off is one's worst enemy in the business and that he wants to see from patience, as he does not want to see him rush into the match.

Elijah Holyfield beats Nathan Cranton. After the match, Booker T says that Elijah Holyfield has looked the best since he showed up, and is proud of both men in the match, as is Shawn Michaels, who wants the uppercut that he finished the match with to be his finisher.
