Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for November 29, 2019

Roman Reigns shows up to start tonight's show. Roman talks about Thanksgiving being about family, good health and happiness and how he only had one of those things this time last year, and thanks the fans for their support over the past year. He also talks about SmackDown winning the men's Survivor Series match on Sunday, and thanks Ali, Shorty G and Braun Strowman for their teamwork. He then brings up King Corbin, calling him "that one dummy on the team." He says that "the dummy" should be thanking him, and brings out King Corbin so he can thank Roman and apologize. Corbin shows up and says he eliminated two people before he betrayed the team and got him eliminated, and accuses Roman of being selfish and having ulterior movies, because he was going to be sole survivor and get the job done. Roman tells him he didn't get the job done, then gives him a chance to do it tonight by facing him in a match. Corbin says Roman does not have him fooled, then says he had a very good Thanksgiving while Roman had a crummy one. Corbin then says he doesn't have to put on a fake smile, eat the same food as Roman, and live in a place where the food is worse than the football. He then tells Roman to fight someone else who won on Sunday - Robert Roode - and get wheeled out on a stretcher.

Roman Reigns beats Robert Roode despite the constant interference and distractions by Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler. After the match, Ziggler attacks Roman, and while Roman fights back, the numbers game catches up in the form of Roode and Corbin. Roode then grabs Corbin's staff and tries to bash his head in, but Roman dodges it and Superman Punches Roode. Roman, seeing that the staff dented the steel chair his head was on, goes after Roode and Spears him through an announce table. Roman then smacks Ziggler over the guardrail with some steel steps as Ziggler confronts him, then tumbles another announce table on top of Roode.

It's time for Firefly Fun House. He says that he is thankful for the WWE Universal Championship, and after thinking that "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt should have a title of his own, he asks the kids if they want to see him face Daniel Bryan again. He then says that he can make Daniel's wish come true and change his life for the better if Daniel lets him in.

We see a silhouette state that SmackDown used to be a land of opportunity with fierce opponents, but now all he sees are a bunch of misfits and cowards. He says that nobody on the brand is like him, and says it is the time to return and break down everyone and everything in his way of making SmackDown his. The silhouette is then revealed to be Sheamus, who has not been seen in months.

Mustafa Ali beats Drew Gulak.

Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis) advertise the Black Friday sale at WWEShop.com.

Sasha Banks and Bayley show up. Sasha says they are not here for a "rah rah" speech, and Sasha says she did not choose her team, because if she did, her team would have won with her eyes closed. Bayley calls the SmackDown women's team's loss an embarrassment, then says SmackDown lost because the entire locker room let her and Sasha down. Sasha says that the weak link of her team is the rest of the team, and looks down on the rest of the team while Bayley says they would have won if Lacey Evans didn't keep sipping her tea. Lacey suddenly shows up and says she is not in the mood for lip from Sasha and Bayley, saying she wouldn't trust them to lead the chicken dance at a garden party. She then says that if Bayley and Sasha want to hide behind excuses for their failures, then it is time for a woman with class, style, confidence and sophistication who wouldn't tap out under pressure to take over the SmackDown women's division. When Lacey makes fun of Bayley tapping out to "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, Sasha confronts Lacey only to eat a Woman's Right.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Daniel Bryan when Bray Wyatt suddenly shows up on the nearby monitor for a remix of the "Muscle Man Dance' song. Daniel Bryan is then seen thinking about whether or not to take Wyatt's challenge.

Before the next match, Mandy Rose makes fun of Nikki Cross' appearance, saying she looks like "a cold plate of Thanksgiving leftovers."

Nikki Cross beats Sonya Deville with an inside cradle. After the match, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville attacks Nikki Cross, but Alexa Bliss runs in and fights them both off.

Backstage, The Miz talks with Daniel Bryan, telling him what effect "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt has had on people he has faced for the worse, and asks Daniel Bryan to ask himself if he feels this is worth it. He asks Daniel Bryan if he knows how important he is not only to SmackDown, but also to his family. Daniel glares at The Miz, and The Miz backs away.

Backstage, Drake Maverick meets with Dana Brooke to kiss her underneath some mistletoe. Dana Brooke is not interested, and then asks if Drake realizes he is married. Suddenly, Elias shows up and says he has returned from a journey, then plays his guitar to sing that he has returned while taking a dig at Drake Maverick.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) show up. Big E talk about his and Kofi Kingston's Thanksgiving, then talk about Black Friday and how they have decided to open for business with an open challenge for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Suddenly, Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro show up, and Sami says it makes him sick to his stomach when The New Day romanticize "a holiday for the gluttonous masses" that symbolizes "imperialistic evil" while trivializing Black Friday. He then says it is time that the SmackDown tag titles were held by men who can see through the nonsense in the form of Nakamura and Cesaro tonight.

The Ne Day (Kofi Kingston and Big E) retain the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro after Sami Zayn is ejected from the match for attempted interference after attempting to use THe New Day's pancake tray as a weapon.

It is announced that Robert Roode is being medically evaluated as footage from earlier tonight of Robert Roode being taken away on a stretcher is played.

Daniel Bryan shows up. He mentions "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt's challenge as well as what The Miz told him earlier, and says that he felt changed during his match against Wyatt, not because of Wyatt, but because of the fans. He says that the fans' passion and voice reminded him who he should have been this whole time, and while he has said on numerous occasions that the "Yes! Movement" is dead, the fans brought it back to life. Through the fans, Daniel Bryan states that he accepts Wyatt's challenge. Suddenly, Bray Wyatt shows up on the TitanTron. Wyatt says that this energy is exciting, then tells Daniel Bryan tells The Miz is right when he says he will be changed and his mask will be taken off. He then says it is only fair, as he helped build The Firefly Fun House. After asking Daniel if he remembers - as "The Fiend" certainly does - he then introduces a new member of the Firefly Fun House. The arena lights go down, then turn red. The Fiend comes out from underneath the ring and grabs Daniel before putting him in the Mandible Claw before dragging Wyatt into the depths with him and ripping his hair out.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for November 27, 2019

The NXT locker room celebrates their Survivor Series victory to start the show, then The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) shows up. Cole says the only reason NXT was successful over the weekend was because of them, and that everyone else in the locker room did absolutely nothing. Cole says that they dominated at both War Games and Survivor Series because they are the "iron men" of the brand, and while everyone else is taking the night off, they will successfully defend the NXT Tag Team Championships because that is what they do. Tommaso Ciampa, having had enough, interrupts, saying that they are confident for four men who got beaten at War Games, and that everyone else is seeing what is going on except them. He states that War Games is the beginning of the end for The Undisputed Era, and while The Undisputed Era has all the gold, the decline will continues when The Undisputed Era lose the tag team titles. Ciampa tells Roderick Strong that his days are also numbered, and that "Goldy" will soon be coming home now that "Daddy" has gone to war and won. He then tells Cole that he will find out what he is in for, as there is not one member of The Undisputed Era that is no longer in his way. Suddenly, Finn Balor shows up and tells Ciampa he is standing in his way, but Ciampa reminds him of his "The business watches me" statement, then proposes that they have a one-on-one match. Keith Lee tells Finn Balor that he is confident that Ciampa can beat him, then dares O'Reilly and Fish to get in the ring because it is "basking season."

The Undisputed Era (Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish, Roderick Strong) retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic after Keith Lee shoulder blocks Adam Cole - who is running towards the ring - into the first and second rows near the ramp. It is announced that Tegan Nox is not here due to Dakota Kai's actions at NXT TakeOver: War Games.

Backstage, Cathy Kelly interviews Candice LeRae, who says that ever since War Games, all she has heard about is Dakota Kai destroying somebody who might as well be her own blood in Tegan Nox. She thought Dakota Kai was a friend and didn't expect her to do what she did, and says Tegan Nox will get hers against Dakota Kai. She says that Dakota Kai will meet "Tegan Nox's pissed-off big sister" instead of a friend in the ring tonight.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Tommaso Ciampa, who says that he issued the challenge against Finn Balor because he wanted it, and while Finn Balor made history in NXT, he made the NXT Championship what it is. He then says that if Finn Balor wants to stand in his way, then it is his mistake.

We see a vignette for Cameron Grimes.

Lio Rush retains the NXT Cruiserweight Championship against Akira Tozawa.

Backstage, Cathy Kelly interviews Finn Balor. Finn Balor says Tommaso Ciampa is walking around like he is the toughest man in the world, but tonight, Ciampa is in his world, which is a scary place. After stating that he injured Johnny Gargano and that Matt Riddle knows who he is, he says that Ciampa is soon going to meet "the Prince."

It is announced that Aliyah will be out of action indefinitely following last week's match with Xia Li.

Xia Li beats Vanessa Borne after "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir show up. After the match, the three of them go after Xia Li. Xia Li manages to hold her own against all three of them for a time, but the numbers game soon catches up. Baszler then takes the microphone and says that everyone is trying to take credit for what happened weekend and that nobody had a weekend like she did when she beat Becky Lynch and Bayley at the same time. As she brags that she has held the NXT Women's Championship for over a year, Rhea Ripley shows up, but Baszler, Duke and Shafir walk away as Ripley walks out of the ring. Ripley tells Baszler that she came here to say something to her face to face, which causes Baszler to go back to the ring. She congratulates Baszler for winning at Survivor Series, then says she beat her when they went face-to-face and that she will do it again, but next time, it will be for the NXT Women's Championship. Baszler says she has heard this song and dance before, and while Ripley is the nightmare, she is the reality, and that the reality will be "tappin' or nappin' just like the rest of 'em." Ripley then asks Baszler "Then why not do it now?" before telling her that she will drop her when she gets in the ring as Baszler leaves the ring again.

Instead of reading it himself, he asks ring announcer Justin Roberts to read it, causing the crowd to chant "You can't read." All of a sudden, three members of the matching band show up and attack The Inner Circle. Julian says they will come with extra pickles, and that they are for him and Sanders only. Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 25, 2019

The show starts with Seth Rollins holding a town hall meeting with the Raw locker room around ringside. Rollins admits that NXT mopped the floor with Raw, and says that he hates this because he has been a fan of Raw throughout his life, and seeing what it has become breaks his heart. He says that Raw is better than that, and that last night, everybody on the show's locker room sucked. He says that the show has gone from the A-show to the C-show and that Raw needs to plant its flag and become great again, and that he believes in Monday Night Raw. He asks anyone who wants to speak up to do so, then calls Randy Orton "the weak link." Randy Orton simply walks away if Rollins asks him if he has anything to say, and Rollins tells him to get out while he keeps sticking his neck out for the brand. Charlotte Flair also walks out when Rollins questions her family pedigree and leadership. Rollins calls out AOP (Akam and Rezar) for not being at Survivor Series, and they too walk away. Seth Rollins vs. Kevin Owens ends in a no-contest. During the match, AOP (Akam and Rezar) show up and stare down both men. At the start of the show, the SmackDown roster is addressed by SmackDown's men's Survivor Series team. Sasha says this is their ring and their show, and that they are ready to put their differences aside and take care of business, as nobody will attack them from behind. She calls out Raw's women's team, and Raw's women's team (Charlotte Flair, Sarah Logan, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Natalya) shows up. Charlotte thanks SmackDown for opening the door - even though they would have kicked it down, anyway - and proposes to Sasha they go one-on-one for old times' sake. She says that Baszler only attacks when her back is turned, and that she is waiting and ready for her when she is done hiding in the shadows.

Before the next match, Sami Zayn says King Corbin will not show up because she is afraid of him and Shinsuke Nakamura, just like everyone else. He then says the one word Corbin cannot call him is "annoying," and says the one word that does describe him is "stud," for as big of a stud he is, Nakamura is bigger to the point that he has given him a brand new Intercontinental Championship. He and Nakamura then trade belts, saying that this is the only way to take the title off Nakamura, then he and Nakamura make fun of Roderick Strong's name. Suddenly, The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O"Reilly, Roderick Strong) show up. Daniel then says he is here to summon "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt, and says that while he does not care what goes on in his mind, Bray does not know what goes on in his. He calls out Bray so that they can have a face-to-face meeting before Sunday. He also says that if talking doesn't have fun, then they can fight. As Daniel keeps talking, the lights go out. When they come back on, nothing has happened. Daniel is undeterred, and continues to call Bray out. Instead, he gets The Miz. Miz says that it has become clear that unlike Daniel, he is a professional, and says he had to hold back after being disrespected on his own. Daniel says he doesn't care, but Miz says the feeling is mutual. After stating he hopes that Bray tears him apart, he says that he tried to help Daniel since day one to no avail, then proceeds to slap him in the face.

She is then attacked from behind by Bayley, starting a brawl. Baszler soon gets the upper hand and puts her in the Kirifuda Clutch as Bayley tries to escape. Scorpio says it is admirable and that it takes "a paragon of virtue" to come out and apologize, and says he has proven that and more, then says Jericho forgot to mention him giving him his first loss with the tag team titles on the line. Scorpio says he partied hard all week, and that not only did his Twitter DMs blow up, but his high school crush Melody is finally going out with him next week. He thanks him, then apologizes for embarrassing him. Jericho says he was not embarrassed, then says that Melody gained a lot of weight since high school. Scorpio says "I like big butts and I cannot lie," then Jericho tells Scorpio he is not even in his league. Jericho then says he will rectify the loss in a match where Scorpio cannot pin him from behind. Daniels says they need time to prepare, but Jericho says that the match will take place next week during his celebration. Frankie Kazarian tells Scorpio Sky not to mention the AEW World Championship out loud in front of Jericho, which results in Jericho making the match officially for the AEW World Championship. Both men shake hands, but Scorpio Sky holds on. Scorpio tells Jericho he has been waiting 15 years for his shot at a world title, and next week, he will turn "Le Champeon" into "Le Bitch." This starts a brawl between SoCal Uncensored and The Inner Circle, who soon show up in force. The Inner Circle get the upper hands at first, and when Michael Nakazawa and Brandon Cutler try to even the odds, Jericho easily overpowers them. Jericho then hits Scorpio Sky with the Judas Effect after Hager whips Scorpio Sky Jericho's way, then Marko Stunt and Jungle Boy fight Jericho only to get leveled. The Inner Circle runs away when Luchasaurus shows up, but Hager stares Luchasaurus down. Hager teases fighting Luchasaurus at first, then backs out of the ring.

Before the next match, "The Librarian" Peter Avalon congratulates Luchasaurus on his return, then tells him he will turn him into motor oil before calling him a fossil. Luchasaurus quickly finishes Avalon off. Luchasaurus beats "The Librarian" Peter Avalon.

Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy) beat Proud 'n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz) after Nick Jackson shows up and takes Santana's blackjack away from him during the match. Before the match, it is announced that Private Party have dedicated this match to the memory of Matt Travis. After the match, Sammy Guevara shows up and attacks Nick Jackson, but "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes shows up and fights off The Inner Circle.

Next week: "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes returns! PAC vs. Kenny Omega!

We hear from Kenny Omega, who says that he lost sight of who he is and has found the cause: losing to PAC at All Out. He then says the powers that be have given him a shot at revenge next week, and this time, it will be at PAC's expense.

Before the next match, Darby Allin is brought out in a body bag with the word "MOX" in red tape on the top of it. Jon Moxley approaches the ring through the crowd, and Darby Allin hits him with a tope suicida as soon as he jumps over the guardrail.

Jon Moxley beats Darby Allin after biting his way out of a joint manipulation attempt by Allin before hitting Allin with an avalanche Paradigm Shift from the top rope.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for November 20, 2019

Backstage, General Manager William Regal welcomes Becky Lynch back to NXT as Becky heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Becky says it has been a while since she was in NXT, and that the people will not have to wait much longer to see her kick someone's ass. She says that while Triple H sent an open invitation, she was coming anyway. She says that Bayley is crying like a little girl with an old woman haircut about being unappreciated and overlooked, and says that she destroyed all the "Bayley Buddies" except for "the blue-haired one that is holding her back," and while Bayley may be a champ, she is the champ. As for "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, she introduced herself at SmackDown, but she is here in NXT to remind Baszler of who she really is, as she does not need to hide in the shadows or attack from behind. She says that Baszler can bring Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir if it makes her feel safe, then asks Baszler what she will do about her being on her brand. Suddenly, Rhea Ripley shows up and says "So, you're the man...let's see if you have a set of balls." A referee shows up, and this starts a match.

During the match, "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir rush into the ring and attack both women before ganging up on Ripley. The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) are seen entering the arena.

Ricochet lays out Kona Reeves with a running drop kick as Reeves heads to the ring for the next match. Matt Riddle, originally booked to face Reeves, faces Ricochet instead.

Matt Riddle beats Ricochet. During the match, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura get on the apron, but Ricochet and Riddle wipe them out before Riddle wins with a La Magistral Cradle. After teh match, Cesrao and Nakamura attack Ricochet and Riddle again, but once again, Ricochet and Riddle get the upper hand, with Ricochet leaping from the top rope to over the guardrail to get Cesrao. Before Nakamura can hit Riddle with the Kinshasa, Roderick Strong shows up and stops him only to be kneed in the face by Riddle. Suddenly, Finn Balor then runs into the ring and brawls with Riddle, who ultimately knees Finn Balor in the faces and sends him tumbling out of the ring.

Security are seen outside of the arena keeping The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) and The Forgotten Sons (Jaxson Ryker, Steve Cutler, Wesley Blake) separated.

Kay Lee Ray beats Dakota Kai. After the match, women from the SmackDown Women's Division show up and attack both women, but the women of NXT and Raw's Women Divisions soon rush into the ring. Women from all three brands face each other, and a staredown between Kairi Sane and Io Shirai is quickly interrupted. Nikki Cross is the last woman standing in the ring after hitting everyone else with a trash can lid.

The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) beat The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake).

Adam Cole beats Dominik Dijakovic in a ladder match to give his War Games team the advantage in the men's War Games Match. After the match, the rest of the The Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) show up to celebrate with Cole, but they are surrounded and then attacked by members of both the Raw and SmackDown locker rooms, who then brawl with each others. As this goes on, Drew McIntyre gets in the ring and hits Dijakovic with a Claymore, then Keith Lee gets in the ring and powerbombs McIntyre with the Spiriti Bomb before coming face-to-face with Ivar. Both of them leap over the ropes and take out everyone outside of the ring, and Adam Cole is the only person left standing. This does not last long, as Seth Rollins shows up from out of nowhere and superkicks Adam Cole in the ring. As Rollins goes for The Stomp on Cole, Tommaso Ciampa shows up and knees Cole in the face on the outside before getting in the ring and brawling with Rollins to end the show.
