Eric Bischoff is still recuperating and is not on commentary for the second week in a row.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting, Lex Luger and "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Savage and Luger are wearing facepaint matching Sting's. Savage admits the three of them are focused in different directions, but they're still united and they plan to divide and conquer. Savage leaves, then Sting says he doesn't mind anyone walking into WCW to make a statement, but a grown man does not come to make a statement to a commentator. Sting wants to know why Razor Ramon says he has three guys yet only produces two. Luger says that they are unified as a team, and that WCW stands tall and strong, and that Razor and Diesel are about to find out what a war is all about. The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) show up and tell Sting and Luger that if they need someone to have their back, they'll be there down the line...but tonight, however, the tag team titles are on the line. Suddenly, Harlem Heat (booker T and Stevie Ray) show up with a score to settle with Lex Luger from weeks ago. This leads to a shouting match between the three teams.
We see pre-recorded comments from Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock), where the duo challenge The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) to a double dog collars match with tag team tornado rules at Bash at the Beach. When they come to the ring, they come with a pair of dog collars connected to each other with a steel chain.
Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock") beat The Blue Bloods ("Lord" Steven Regal and "Squire" David Taylor) after Johnny Grunge hits David Taylor with the cast on his right hand. During the match, it is announced that Razor Ramon and Diesel are in the parking lot and have made their way to the arena.
The Taskmaster fights Kip Abee in the audience, the concession stand and in front of the nearby Subway. Thankfully, the match-turned-brawl does not go into the ladies' restroom. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jimmy Hart, who says that he and The Taskmaster came to Charlotte, North Carolina, and walked in and out alive. Taskmaster joins Jimmy Hart soon after, and he tells "The Crippler" Chris Benoit that he and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson are coming to his turf at Bash at the Beach. Okerlund reminds The Taskmaster that if he or The Giant loses the night after on Nitro, the WCW World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line. The Taskmaster knows that everybody wants "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair to face The Giant for the World title, but it's not going to happen. Jimmy Hart says that if he hears "Woman, oh woman, won't you marry me now" or "I'm going to Space Mountain" one more time, he'll choke himself to death.
Dean Malenko beats "Hardwork" Bobby Walker. During the match, Disco Inferno shows up to show off his gold record for selling one million copies of his "Shake Your Booty" CD, then his music hits and he dances on the turnbuckle. This distracts Walker after he comes out of a monkey flip in the corner from Malenko, and Malenko drop kicks Walker from behind into Disco, knocking Disco out of the ring. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Dean Malenko, who tells Disco to back off. Disco says this show is about television ratings, and that he just hit gold and everybody wants to see him dance. He says Malenko and Walker were not having a good night, and that Malenko was "stinkin' up the joint." He figured it was the perfect time to get down, and if Malenko has a problem, then excuse him. He celebrates his gold record again, saying that Malenko is the man of a thousand holds, but he just sold a million CD's before walking out. Malenko tells him he's the man of a thousand holds, but it's only going to take one to finish him off.

Eddie Guerrero beats The Barbarian after The Barbarian slips off the top rope during a vertical suplex and Eddie manages to pin him. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Eddie, who says he wants another shot at the United States Heavyweight Championship. As for "the invasion," he says Razor Ramon and Diesel are coming here with disrespect towards WCW, and wishes he was one of the three men facing them. He wishes Sting, Lex Luger and "Macho Man" Randy Savage his best.
Fireworks go off to signal the second hour.
The Four Horsemen ("The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit) beat The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) after Steve "Mongo" McMichael hits Robert Gibson with his briefcase. After the match, Joe Gomez rushes in and attacks The Horsemen in revenge for postponing his debut, but McMichael smacks him with the briefcase, too. "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Kevin Greene show up and chase The Horsemen out.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair along with Debra McMichael, Miss Elizabeth and Woman. Flair is glad that the Four Horsemen are back and in full force, and tells both "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Kevin Greene that he and the women are secured and under guard, and tonight business will be mixed with pleasure. "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael - who has a new ring - show up. McMichael says that nobody can stop the Horsemen at this rate.
Diamond Dallas Page beats "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright, then gets interviewed by "Mean" Gene Okerlund. It is announced that DDP will be facing "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan in a Taped Fist Match at Bash at the Beach. He considers him being put in the match a conspiracy theory to hold him down, as nobdoy has beaten Duggan in a taped fist match. He dares Duggan to tape his entire body, as Duggan won't take his "Lord of the Ring" title from him.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Kevin Greene, who has some unfinished business with Steve "Mongo" McMichael for his turning on him at The Great American Bash. Greene says Mongo sold him out for the money, and thought that they were partners. He has a game plan: kick ass with the Carolina Panthers, and that he'll remember Mongo's "backstabbing slimy face" with everything he does. In the offseason, he's going on a Mongo hunt, and when that's done, him, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and two more superpowers from WCW are going to get some payback in a big way.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats V.K. Wallstreet when Kevin Greene sends Wallstreet into the post outside of the ring.
Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) beat The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and the team of Sting and Lex Luger to become the WCW World Tag Team Championships...and the win almost goes unnoticed. During the match, Razor Ramon and Diesel show up with aluminum baseball bats in their hand, and as policemen surround the ring to keep them from entering, Booker T gets Lex Luger in a schoolboy pin while Stevie Ray holds his legs during the chaos. (The pinfall can be seen on the left side of the screen.) The policemen stay in the ring, keeping Razor and Diesel from entering the ring, and Razor and Diesel slowly back away.

We see footage of the locker room celebrating Ahmed Johnson's Intercontinental Championship win from last night.
Ahmed Johnson beats Hunter Hearst Helmsley (who was accompanied to the ring before the show by Julie Benardi). During the match, Vince McMahon interviews Goldust, who says he made the mistake of his life by saving Ahmed Johnson's, and now he plans to end it. As for The Undertaker, he plans to bury him again, this time in the earth itself. After the match, Dok Hendrix interviews Ahmed, who is proud to be the first African-American Intercontinental Champion, and wants everyone to know that he is defend the title for all people. He says te title has been around the wrong waist for a long time, and now it will be defended for the people from now on. On the subject of Goldust, he says that if "Sweet Lips wants some more, he knows where to find me." He says he's not too hard to find, and he can do it in the ring or in the hood where he's hanging with the homeboys.
The King of the Ring encore is tomorrow night at 8 PM Eastern and Pacific.

He says The Undertaker will never rest in peace when he steps in the ring with him again for the sequel. It is also announced that Mankind will be in action, while Goldust will take on "Wildman" Marc Mero. After the match, Austin continues to attack The Undertaker, but 'Taker fights back despite being blinded by Goldust. Jerry "The King" Lawler then tries to accuse Paul Bearer of costing The Undertaker his match last night, but is forced to run away after The Undertaker threatens to choke slam him.

King of the Ring 1996 - The Results
The Bodydonnas (Skip and Zip) beat The New Rockers (Marty Jannetty and Leif Cassidy) during the Free For All after The Bodydonnas' new manager Cloudy (who is a man dressed much like Sunny) kisses Cassidy. During this match, Sunny makes it clear she's not impressed with Cloudy, calling her The Bodydonna's means of taking a jab at her. Vince McMahon interviews Todd Pettengill via telephone, who asks people to buy the pay-per-view. Also, .
Dok Hendrix interviews Brian Pillman, who says that WWF should be taking advantage of the media frenzy from his press conference, and that he should be in the main event. Nevertheless, he considers himself a ticking time bomb and that will make his presence known tonight.
Ahmed Johnson tells Jim Ross that right now, every time is a bad time for him, but tonight, he plans to hurt Goldust where it hurts him the most.
We look back at King of the Ring 1993, when Jerry "The King" Lawler attacks Bret "The Hit Man" Hart.
Jerry Lawler, with his hands taped up due to hot coffee being spilled all over them, tells Dok Hendrix he would have to be in a bodycast before he considers backing out of his match with The Ultimate Warrior, and explains his side of the story in his feud with Warrior.
Vince McMahon interviews Owen Hart, who says he cannot even guarantee that he will not interfere when he guests on commentary later tonight.
Dok Hendrix asks the crowd if Mr. Perfect if will call The British Bulldog vs. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels for the WWF Championship down the middle. Mr. Perfect says he has no jealousy towards Michaels, and that if you want the match called correctly, you call Mr. Perfect.
Owen Hart joins in on commentary at the beginning of the pay-per-view.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats "Wildman" Marc Mero to continue to the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament.
Dok Hendrix interviews Jake "The Snake" Robert. Roberts asks how he can lose if his soul is purged by the blood of the lamb and knows that the power above is reaching down and lifting him up. 450 pounds is nothing to play with, and says if he were to rob a bank, he'd sneak in from the back instead of walking through the front door. If he can get past Vader, he's got "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
Jake "The Snake" Roberts beats Vader by disqualification to continue to the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament when Vader grabs the referee on the way down during Jake "The Snake" Roberts' DDT. Vader attacks Roberts after the match, and Jim Cornette stops the referee from interfering as Vader hits a Vader Bomb on Roberts. Multiple referees and officials have to stop the brawl and keep Vader in the ring to help Roberts back to the back.
In a Coliseum Home Video exclusive, an angry video takes his rage out on Jim Cornette, and insists he is the King of the Ring.
Dok Hendrix interviews Sunny, who says that Cloudy is ugly and is there to humiliate her. She also plans to use her beauty against Phineas I. Godwinn. As for The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn), Billy calls her an all-around great manager, and when Sunny says she doesn't want to be anywhere near Cloudy, they promise to take care of The Bodydonnas (Skip and Zip).
Before the next match, Billy Gunn tells Phineas I. Godwinn that he has made Sunny feel like Phineas will never be able to make her feel, raising the ire of Phineas and giving The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) a psychological advantage at the beginning of the match.
A much more arrogant and aggressive The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn). During the match, Vince McMahon has a very brief interview with Cloudy. The Godwinns attack The Gunns after the match.
Dok Hendrix interviews Jim Cornette, Clarence Mason, The British Bulldog and Diana Hart Smith. Cornette says he and his men have the WWF Championship match in the bag, and Mr. Perfect shows goes through two bags in the back as The British Bulldog tells "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels that he is his.
Before the next match, Jerry "The King" Lawler looks at the scepter, throne, crown and robe of the future King of the Ring as he walks up to the throne, then makes fun of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin crowd and the Milwaukee Brewers as he walks to the ring with the scepter in his hand. He then says that The Ultimate Warrior has overstayed his welcome, and that he tried to make things right with him only for the Warrior to insult him. He says that Warrior will look like a Picasso painting when he's done with him. When The Warrior rushes in, Lawler uses the scepter as a weapon until the referee takes it away.
The Ultimate Warrior beats Jerry "The King" Lawler.
Dok Hendrix interviews WWF President Gorilla Monsoon as Jake "The Snake" Roberts gets his rib tended to. He is allowing Roberts to compete in the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament despite the injured rib, but if he has to stop the match, he'll stop the match.
Mankind beats The Undertaker with the Mandible Claw after Paul Bearer inadvertently hits Mankind with the urn, moments after wrestling the urn away from Mankind. After the match, Mankind chases after Paul Bearer with a steel chair. The Undertaker gets back up, and Mankind notices Undertaker try to come after him, allowing Paul Bearer to get away.
Dok Hendrix interviews Mr. Perfect. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels tells Mr. Perfect, telling him tonight is the chance for him to earn the nickname of "The Perfect Referee," urging him to call his match with The British Bulldog right down the middle. Perfect tells Dok Hendrix he's going to do just that.
Before the next match, a seething Ahmed Johnson bowls over the doormen as he swings the entrance doors wide open, and goes straight for Goldust.
Ahmed Johnson makes Goldust pay for giving him mouth-to-mouth again during the match and beats Goldust to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship, becoming the very first African-American to do so.

Brian Pillman shows up on two wooden crutches, having had an accident. He asks Jim Ross how his "extended family" is doing, as he doesn't give a damn about his own family and thinks even less of the fans, and says it's easy to see why Jeffrey Dahmer tried to consume Wisconsin from head to toe. When Jim Ross asks how he'll measure up to the rest of the WWF Superstars, and Pillman says "You stupid son of a bitch, I'm conducting the interview!" and asks what it's like being a member of the wretched refuse sitting in this building as he says whatever he wants, and says we'll find out real soon and see if any of the WWF Superstars have the guts to stop him. He goes on stay he's the brightest star to ever step foot on God's green earth, and that as the King of the Ring ascends to the throne, he will rape, pillage and plunder the entire Federation. Vince McMahon apologizes for some of Pillman's choice words, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, fresh from the emergency room after having his mouth busted open against "Wildman" Marc Mero, meets up with Pillman on the way to the ring.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats Jake "The Snake" Roberts to become the 1996 King of the Ring. During the match, Austin tears the tape off of Roberts' rib and WWF President Gorilla Monsoon temporarily stops the fight to check on Roberts, but Roberts wants the fight to continue, and Austin continues to take advantage of Roberts' cracked rib and end Roberts' Cinderella run. After the match, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin approaches the throne for the coronation, and is interviewed by Dok Hendrix. He wants Roberts out of the ring and out of the WWF, as Roberts doesn't have what it takes anymore. He says Roberts thumps his Bible and saying his prayers and that it , talking about John 3:16 - a shot at Roberts being a born-again Christian - and says "Austin 3:16 says 'I just whipped your ass'!" He tells Roberts to go knock a bottle of cheap Thunderbird so he can get back some of his courage he had in his prime. He then plans to run roughshod through the World Wrestling Federation, and that regardless of whoever the WWF Champion is, his time has come and he's taking the title.
Before the next match, WWF President Gorilla Monsoon says something to ring announcer Howard Finkel. Howard Finkel announces that Mr. Perfect will be conducting his special guest referee duties outside of the ring, while Earl Hebner will be conducting his duties inside.
Despite Earl Hebner being briefly knocked out, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels retains the WWF Championship against The British Bulldog. Mr. Perfect and Hebner both make the count, but Owen Hart leaves commentary and drags Perfect out of the ring at two. Shawn fights off both Owen and The Bulldog, but ends up on the receiving end of the numbers game until Ahmed Johnson shows up and makes the save for Shawn. Vader shows up and attacks Ahmed Johnson to swing the numbers game back into the favor of Jim Cornette's men, but The Ultimate Warrior shows up and stops Vader from hitting Shawn from the top rope and fights off Owen and The Bulldog simultaneously, forcing Camp Cornette to retreat. It is then announced that Shawn, Warrior and Ahmed will take on Camp Cornette (The British Bulldog, Owen Hart, Vader) at In Your House: International Incident.
In a Coliseum Video exclusive, Jim Ross interviews Jim Cornette, Owen Hart, Vader and The British Bulldog. Cornette says that if Shawn Michaels and his friends want a six-man tag match, they've gotten one. Owen Hart accuses Shawn of cheating and insists that he did not interfere. Cornette then says that Earl Hebner shouldn't even have been referee during the match. British Bulldog says he didn't know that Shawn had that many friends, but he has his own to back him up, and that it'll be Vader Time in Vancouver.

A much more arrogant and aggressive The Smoking Gunns (Billy and Bart Gunn) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The Godwinns (Henry O. and Phineas I. Godwinn). During the match, Vince McMahon has a very brief interview with Cloudy. The Godwinns attack The Gunns after the match.
Dok Hendrix interviews Jim Cornette, Clarence Mason, The British Bulldog and Diana Hart Smith. Cornette says he and his men have the WWF Championship match in the bag, and Mr. Perfect shows goes through two bags in the back as The British Bulldog tells "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels that he is his.
Before the next match, Jerry "The King" Lawler looks at the scepter, throne, crown and robe of the future King of the Ring as he walks up to the throne, then makes fun of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin crowd and the Milwaukee Brewers as he walks to the ring with the scepter in his hand. He then says that The Ultimate Warrior has overstayed his welcome, and that he tried to make things right with him only for the Warrior to insult him. He says that Warrior will look like a Picasso painting when he's done with him. When The Warrior rushes in, Lawler uses the scepter as a weapon until the referee takes it away.
The Ultimate Warrior beats Jerry "The King" Lawler.
Dok Hendrix interviews WWF President Gorilla Monsoon as Jake "The Snake" Roberts gets his rib tended to. He is allowing Roberts to compete in the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament despite the injured rib, but if he has to stop the match, he'll stop the match.
Mankind beats The Undertaker with the Mandible Claw after Paul Bearer inadvertently hits Mankind with the urn, moments after wrestling the urn away from Mankind. After the match, Mankind chases after Paul Bearer with a steel chair. The Undertaker gets back up, and Mankind notices Undertaker try to come after him, allowing Paul Bearer to get away.
Dok Hendrix interviews Mr. Perfect. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels tells Mr. Perfect, telling him tonight is the chance for him to earn the nickname of "The Perfect Referee," urging him to call his match with The British Bulldog right down the middle. Perfect tells Dok Hendrix he's going to do just that.
Before the next match, a seething Ahmed Johnson bowls over the doormen as he swings the entrance doors wide open, and goes straight for Goldust.
Ahmed Johnson makes Goldust pay for giving him mouth-to-mouth again during the match and beats Goldust to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship, becoming the very first African-American to do so.

In a Coliseum Home Video exclusive, the locker room celebrates Ahmed Johnson's WWF Intercontinental Championship victory.
Brian Pillman shows up on two wooden crutches, having had an accident. He asks Jim Ross how his "extended family" is doing, as he doesn't give a damn about his own family and thinks even less of the fans, and says it's easy to see why Jeffrey Dahmer tried to consume Wisconsin from head to toe. When Jim Ross asks how he'll measure up to the rest of the WWF Superstars, and Pillman says "You stupid son of a bitch, I'm conducting the interview!" and asks what it's like being a member of the wretched refuse sitting in this building as he says whatever he wants, and says we'll find out real soon and see if any of the WWF Superstars have the guts to stop him. He goes on stay he's the brightest star to ever step foot on God's green earth, and that as the King of the Ring ascends to the throne, he will rape, pillage and plunder the entire Federation. Vince McMahon apologizes for some of Pillman's choice words, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, fresh from the emergency room after having his mouth busted open against "Wildman" Marc Mero, meets up with Pillman on the way to the ring.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats Jake "The Snake" Roberts to become the 1996 King of the Ring. During the match, Austin tears the tape off of Roberts' rib and WWF President Gorilla Monsoon temporarily stops the fight to check on Roberts, but Roberts wants the fight to continue, and Austin continues to take advantage of Roberts' cracked rib and end Roberts' Cinderella run. After the match, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin approaches the throne for the coronation, and is interviewed by Dok Hendrix. He wants Roberts out of the ring and out of the WWF, as Roberts doesn't have what it takes anymore. He says Roberts thumps his Bible and saying his prayers and that it , talking about John 3:16 - a shot at Roberts being a born-again Christian - and says "Austin 3:16 says 'I just whipped your ass'!" He tells Roberts to go knock a bottle of cheap Thunderbird so he can get back some of his courage he had in his prime. He then plans to run roughshod through the World Wrestling Federation, and that regardless of whoever the WWF Champion is, his time has come and he's taking the title.
Before the next match, WWF President Gorilla Monsoon says something to ring announcer Howard Finkel. Howard Finkel announces that Mr. Perfect will be conducting his special guest referee duties outside of the ring, while Earl Hebner will be conducting his duties inside.
Despite Earl Hebner being briefly knocked out, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels retains the WWF Championship against The British Bulldog. Mr. Perfect and Hebner both make the count, but Owen Hart leaves commentary and drags Perfect out of the ring at two. Shawn fights off both Owen and The Bulldog, but ends up on the receiving end of the numbers game until Ahmed Johnson shows up and makes the save for Shawn. Vader shows up and attacks Ahmed Johnson to swing the numbers game back into the favor of Jim Cornette's men, but The Ultimate Warrior shows up and stops Vader from hitting Shawn from the top rope and fights off Owen and The Bulldog simultaneously, forcing Camp Cornette to retreat. It is then announced that Shawn, Warrior and Ahmed will take on Camp Cornette (The British Bulldog, Owen Hart, Vader) at In Your House: International Incident.
In a Coliseum Video exclusive, Jim Ross interviews Jim Cornette, Owen Hart, Vader and The British Bulldog. Cornette says that if Shawn Michaels and his friends want a six-man tag match, they've gotten one. Owen Hart accuses Shawn of cheating and insists that he did not interfere. Cornette then says that Earl Hebner shouldn't even have been referee during the match. British Bulldog says he didn't know that Shawn had that many friends, but he has his own to back him up, and that it'll be Vader Time in Vancouver.

It is announced that Tony Schiavone will be on both hours of the show, due to the beating that Eric Bischoff received last night at the hands of Diesel and Razor Ramon.
Rick Steiner beats Stevie Ray. Immediately after the match, Booker T attacks Rick, and he and Stevie Ray are about to hit the Harlem Hangover on Rick when Scott Steiner shows up and protects Rick.
Before the next match, Disco Inferno says that everyone came to see him dance, and asks everyone if they want to see him dance. He is about to dance, but Joe Gomez' music plays instead.
Joe Gomez beats Disco Inferno in his Nitro debut after reversing a pin attempt from a cocky Disco. During the match, it is mentioned that Hulk Hogan called WCW recently, saying if that there is a war going on, he wants his name in the hat. Also, the encore for The Great American Bash is on June 18th.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Debra McMichael says she turned against Kevin Greene because of the great company and for the money. Flair brags about Kevin Greene lying in a hospital bed, and tells "Macho Man" Randy Savage that Miss Elizabeth won't be coming back to him and that he will find out why he's on the top of the world, and that he will get hurt and get hurt bed.
The Four Horsemen ("The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit) beat The American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs) after Anderson grabs onto Riggs' foot during the pinfall. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Anderson and Benoit after the match. Anderson says that everyone is in shock, and that everybody likes when somebody says what they're going to do and then does it. The Horsemen are now at full strength, and while he had a deal with The Taskmaster, one man takes a bath and the other gets rich when a deal goes south, and says it must be tough for The Taskmaster down at the bottom of the wading pool and that there is only room for four Horsemen. Benoit tells Taskmaster that every action has a reaction, and his quest to nullify the Horsemen lead to them becoming stronger than ever.
John Tenta stops Jimmy Hart form interfering - and puts his foot on the ropes - to beat Big Bubba. After the match, Tenta chases after Jimmy Hart, who tosses a loaded sock to Big Bubba. Big Bubba nails Tenta with the loaded sock, which is full of nickels. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jimmy Hart and Big Bubba, and Jimmy Hart says that he will be getting back at those who turn on The Dungeon of Doom as Big Bubba brags about beating John Tenta up.

Savage says he plans to take his time and be calculated with Flair, who he says is distracted with all the women at ringside. He says he's not all there, but he's staying in WCW forever for there is no man that can put him down. As for the psychiatric help, everything's going well.
As the second hour begins, "Macho Man' Randy Savage heads to commentary and forces Bobby "The Brain" Heenan to back up to the ring briefly before he can join in on commentary.
Before the net match, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair tells "Macho Man" Randy Savage that every man, at some point in life, experience the agony and pain of defeat, and that in Savage's case, he is experiencing agony, defeat and divorce. Savage simply tells Ric Flair he's going to kick his ass. Savage gets some shots in before the bell can ring or before Flair can remove his robe.

Taskmaster says that wars has been declared all over WCW, and that he's been in violent fights his whole life. But last night, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson made the deal with "The Crippler" Chris Benoit instead of him, and he tells Anderson he has a strange mentality and a fine line between pain and pleasure in his head. The Giant says the problems started when The Four Horsemen called themselves the elite, yet they're incapable of taking the WCW World Heavyweight Championship from him. He declares himself the best to ever come out of The Dungeon of Doom, and anybody in the Dungeon is better than any Horseman can ever dream to be. He dares The Four Horsemen to step in the ring with him, as they will all fall down in the end.
We get our first close-up look at Glacier.

The three men picked to represent WCW at Bash at the Beach are Lex Luger, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Sting, and they will three men at the outside on the night of Sunday, July 7th.

The Undertaker tells Mankind that he will pay for his sins and that he will take his soul and plunge it into the eternal darkness from which he is master.
"Stone Cold" Steve Austin guests on commentary for the next match. Whoever wins this match will face Austin in the semi-finals of the King of the Ring Tournament.
WWF expresses their sympathy to the family of the late Dick Murdoch.
Marc Mero beats Owen Hart to continue to the semi-finals of the King of the Ring Tournament, where he will face "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Before the commercial break, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin stood up and walked away from the commentary area, and during the commercial break, he was escorted to the back by officials to ensure he did not interfere in the match. After the match, Owen Hart attacks Marc Mero, calling him a coward for kicking him in the cast around his arm.
As officials check on Marc Mero, we see footage from WWF Superstars of Jim Ross interviewing The British Bulldog, who has Diana Hart Smith standing by his side. Bulldog tells everyone that he has all the confidence in the world, and that Shawn Michaels messed with his most prized possession: his wife. When Jim Ross tells Bulldog that Shawn is in the building, he tells Jim Ross that he doesn't give a frog's fat arse where Shawn is, because if he had any guts, he would come out here right now. Shawn runs in as if on cue and feuds with The British Bulldog, and referees, wrestlers and officials all have to break it up.

Lawler gets in the ring and talks to Montoya, and tells him he's going to show the audience what he's going to do to The Ultimate Warrior by hitting him in the face with the microphone before attacking him and putting him in a piledriver. Suddenly, Jake "The Snake" Roberts, on the way to his match, chases Jerry "The King" Lawler out of the ring.
We see Connecticut Special Olympics athlete Erik Norgren carry the Olympic torch outside of Titan Towers. We then see Brian Pillman, best known as Flyin' Brian from World Championship Wrestling, hold his contract signing. He talks about the last eight weeks of his life, where he is choked up and he mentions his car accident and his dream of coming to the WWF coming true. A full transcript of Pillman's contract signing will be available on America On-Line after the show.

The Great American Bash 1996 - The Results
Sgt. Craig "Pitbull" Pitmann holds the flag as The Star Spangled Banner plays.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Fire and Ice (Scott "Flash" Norton) in a match where there must be a winner.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jimmy Hart and The Taskmaster. Jimmy tells Taskmaster that they don't need The Four Horseman or anybody. The Taskmaster says that while falls count anywhere in the building, this isn't between The Four Horsemen and The Dungeon of Doom, it is between himself, "The Nature Boy" and "The Enforcer." He proved that Flyin' Brian was a quitter, and says that while Benoit isn't a quitter, he's no Horseman. He plans to drag Benoit through the building and make him suffer.
Konnan retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against El Gato.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting, who makes fun of "Lord" Steven Regal and tells him that American men aren't raised to be "prissy." Sting says that Regal is a fantastic wrestler, but says he's a little bit iffy and that he'll be the man to straighten him out in the course of ten, twenty or thirty minutes.

When Greene, who has just turned over the Figure Four Leg Lock, sees Mongo with the suitcase, Mongo hits Greene with the suitcase, turning on Greene to give Flair and Anderson the win before joining Benoit, Flair and Anderson in a 4-on-1 attack on "Macho Man" Randy Savage. After the attack on Savage, Mongo takes the money and puts on the Four Horsemen T-shirt, making him a member of The Four Horsemen. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan shakes the hands of both Mongo and Debra. Before the match, it is announced that "Macho Man' Randy Savage will be returning to television due to popular demands and due to Savage receiving counseling at the behest of WCW, and his first match back on television will be against "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair at tomorrow night's Nitro.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting, who makes fun of "Lord" Steven Regal and tells him that American men aren't raised to be "prissy." Sting says that Regal is a fantastic wrestler, but says he's a little bit iffy and that he'll be the man to straighten him out in the course of ten, twenty or thirty minutes.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Scott Steiner after the commercial break. Scott says that he and his brother Rick Steiner have prided themselves in being the best tag team around. All of a sudden, Debra McMichael shows up and needs a minute with "Mean" Gene. She is worried about her husband Steve "Mongo" McMichaels are Kevin Greene, especially Steve, as he might get a little crazy and hurt somebody personally, and feels this is all her fault. "Mean" Gene tells her it's not her fault, as "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair has a reputation and has taken visual liberties and said things he should not have said. Nevertheless, Debra doesn't want to see anyone get permanently injured, and wants to see if it is possible to talk it out with Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, talk this over and see if this match can be called off. "Mean" Gene tells her he will try to get an audience with them and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.

Debra is accosted by Woman and Miss Elizabeth but manages to escape. Flair and Anderson go after her, and their opponents for the evening, Joe Gomez and The Renegade happen to be there when Debra runs away. Flair and Anderson attack Gomez and The Renegade, and Flair puts The Renegade into the Figure Four Leg Lock. Officials have to rush in to stop the attack.
"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats "Squire" David Taylor after Taylor makes the mistake of turning his back on Duggan. It is confirmed during the match that Sting and Lex Luger have agreed to replace Joe Gomez and The Renegade in their match against "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson tonight, and that the WCW World Tag Team Championships will be on the line.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Scott "Flash" Norton, who says that he took two choke slams from The Giant and is still standing, as he doesn't care and he's not scared.
Fireworks indicate the beginning of the second hour.
The Giant beats Scott "Flash" Norton, then Lex Luger rushes in and tries to get a piece of The Giant only to get tossed out of the ring with the greatest of ease. The Giant clears the buffet table near the aisle and put Luger through the table, but Luger kicks The Giant in the groin and hits him with a steel bowl. The Taskmaster, Big Bubba and Hugh Morrus check on The Giant, who is not only barely fazed but also even angrier with Lex Luger than ever. Lex Luger then appears at commentary, and says The Giant does feel pain after all. He then tells The Giant that he has more surprises for him at The Great American Bash.
"Lord" Steven Regal quickly beats Billy Kidman by submission, then Sting rushes in and slaps Steven Regal in the face with a knife edge chop. Regal is both surprised and incensed.
Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) beat The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs) after Sags smacks Johnny Grunge in the back with a trash can.
We see last week's video package of Hulk Hogan.

Again, Bischoff doesn't want any trouble, and Diesel says he knows he doesn't want any trouble because he'll kick his teeth down his throat. He wants to know why Bischoff hasn't gotten his three guys yet, and wonders why he couldn't get a paleontologist to get three "fossils" cleared, or enough guys off dialysis to get a team. He also wants to know where Hulk Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage is. Eric Bischoff says that their fight isn't with him. Tomorrow morning at 9 o'clock, he will be in the WCW offices in Atlanta, where he has the authority to give them their match at The Great American Bash against three guys, and if they show up, he can try to give them their guys. Diesel tells Bischoff to bring what he's got, as the measuring stick has changed around here and he's looking at it.

Mankind, the Bulldog and Owen Hart beat up 'Taker for a little bit, then Cornette gets Bulldog and Owen out of there because he doesn't want to be anywhere near Mankind. Mankind drives 'Taker into the mat with a piledriver, but officials and referees stop Mankind from applying the Mandible Claw.
Owen Hart beats Yokozuna to continue to the second round of the King of the Ring tournament after Yokozuna stumbles off the second rope and Owen puts his foot on the ropes for the pinfall.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Shark. He has not cut the other half of his hair because he relives the embarrassment of what happened when Big Bubba - who is in the ring with Shark's hair - cut his air to remind himself that he's not a shark, a fish, or an Avalanche, but a man - a 500 pound man named John Tenta. He plans to hurt Big Bubba and then shave The Giant's head to force him to feel the embarrassment he has felt. After a quick fight in the ring, John Tenta grabs the scissors and tries to cut Bubba's hair, and Bubba escapes and refuses to get back in the ring. John Tenta beats Big Bubba by count-out.
The Faces of Fear (Meng and The Barbarian) beat the debuting High Voltage (Robbie Ruckus and Kenny Kaos).
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting and Lex Luger backstage. Lex Luger says everything got out of hand when Rick Steiner showed up last week, but Sting says it really started when Luger kicked Scott Steiner in the gut before Sting put him in a superplex into the concrete. Luger says he and The Steiners go way back and they're all very competitive. Suddenly, The Steiner Brothers show up, with Rick confronting Luger for kicking Scott in the gut and putting him back in the ring. Scott Steiner challenges Sting and Luger for the WCW World Tag Team Championships, and after more words are traded, Scott pushes Luger. The Steiners leave before it can get even hotter.
Sgt. Craig "Pitbull" Pittman beats Disco Inferno when Disco gives up before Pittman can put him in the Code Red. Disco then speaks into the camera, saying that if he was put in the Code Red, he wouldn't be able to move his hands anymore.
"Lord" Steven Regal beats "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan by grabbing the tights during a schoolboy pin when "Earl" Robert Eaton and Jeeves distract the referee and "Squire" David Taylor takes away - and steals - Hacksaw's 2x4. Hacksaw chases after Taylor after the match, and "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Regal and Eaton, with Taylor joining soon after. Regal says he's paid double the fine for what happened on Main Event. Regal says he could have insulted Sting, his family and his friends, but says Sting loves nobody but himself. He wants Sting at his best at The Great American Bash so he can beat him at his best.

Hart says he feels like he's talking to a brick wall, telling him he and The Taskmaster don't need anything or anybody else and that they shouldn't have to team with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair or "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. The Taskmaster says there are two wars: one to be handled by the legal department and the other involving the fact that Hulkamania is not dead. He says that Anderson and Flair are the only two people he respects in the business. He tells Anderson that he warned him about Flyin' Brian, and says he knows serpents better than anyone on this planet, and the only way to get rid of one is to crush the egg. He plans to get rid of Benoit so he can get rid of Hulk Hogan.
"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson wear a Kevin Greene jersey and a Steve "Mongo" McMichael jersey, respectively, on their way to the ring for the next match.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson beat The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) after Miss Elizabeth distracts the referee and Woman rakes the eyes of Robert Gibson from the apron. During the match, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan leaves the commentary table, says something to Woman and Miss Elizabeth, then heads back. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Anderson and Flair. Anderson says that wrestlers are tougher and much bigger than professional football players, and Flair says that the jerseys were a gift from Debra McMichael. Flair tells Kevin Greene that he and Anderson are bigger, faster, and sleeker and that they can go all night long. Heenan is also there, saying that he told Woman that he knows of a place where she can get her diamonds cleaned. He says that people have asked him to manage, and have offered an exorbitant cost for it, but he has promised to never manage again. He then pulls out a briefcase which contains the 1988 All-Madden trophy for managing John Madden's team, and at The Great American Bash, he will coach, and he will be at ringside in Anderson and Flair's corner.
We see a video package of Hulk Hogan.
The Giant beats Ice Train with a single choke slam after Jimmy Hart smacks Ice Train in the leg with his megaphone, distracting Ice Train. After the match, Scott "Flash" Norton confronts The Giant and earns two choke slams for his trouble. As officials and wrestlers check on Ice Train and Norton, The Giant tells "Mean" Gene Okerlund makes it known he is incensed that video packages of Hulk Hogan is being shown as he is the World Heavyweight Championship and the one that eliminated him. After having taken out Hogan, Sting and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, he wants to take out Lex Luger next.
Scott "Flash" Norton is moving around, but he is in no shape for his match against Hugh Morrus. Nevertheless, Hugh Morrus shows up and attacks Norton anyway, which turns out to be a mistake as a very cocky Hugh Morrus gets caught by Norton during No Laughing Matter and gets hit with a few shots from Norton. Scott "Flash" Norton ends up getting a surprise upset win against Hugh Morrus.
Steve "Mongo" McMichael and Kevin Greene come up with a battle plan against "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, but they seem to be butting heards. However, they have a idea for who they want as a coach: "Macho Man" Randy Savage.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) vs. Sting and Lex Luger ends after The Giant interferes and choke slams Rick Steiner. During the match, Eric Bischoff and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan interview "Macho Man" Randy Savage via telephone, and though he isn't allowed to wrestle, he can still do some mat coaching, and if Steve "Mongo" McMichael and Kevin Greene need a coach, he's in. Heenan doesn't want anything to do with Savage, but Savage says Heenan's please are so weak that he, Kevin Greene and Mongo could eat him all up. After the match, Lex Luger fights off The Giant, and Sting and Scott Steiner join in to clean house.
Razor Ramon shows up again in the denim jeans and jacket, and once again tells Eric Bischoff that if he wants a war, he's got one and that he will finish it. Suddenly, Sting confronts Razor Ramon, reminds him he's in WCW and that he only sees one of him when he's looking for a war with three of the best in WCW. He then challenges Razor to a one-on-one match right here, right now. Razor tells him he's got a fight, only nobody tells him what to do or when to do it. Razor tosses his toothpick at Sting, and Sting responds by slapping Razor in the face. Police rush in in case of further confrontation, but Razor tells Sting he's got a big surprise for him next week.

We see Goldust in his den of iniquity. Goldust claims that he saved Ahmed Johnson through "the breath of life," and that he didn't have it in his heart to let Ahmed Johnson die. It gave him great satisfaction, the same satisfaction one gets from eating chocolate. He wants to share that very taste with Ahmed. Goldust says he will retain the Intercontinental Championship at King of the Ring.
