Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 28, 2000

We see footage from earlier today of Sid Vicious and Tank Abbott making separate entrances into the arena.

Mike Tenay interviews Jeff Jarrett, who says he does not care who wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship as he has shot at the title signed, sealed and delivered. He tells Mike Tenay he will not be taking the match lightly, and not only does the think he can beat Tank Abbott if he were to win the World title, he also goes so far as to guarantee a victory.

Backstage, Miss Hancock says it's time to teach Lane and Idol a lesson.

Disco Inferno guests on commentary for the next match. Later in the match, so does Miss Hancock.

The Mamalukes (Johnny the Bull and Big Vito) beat Lane and Idol. During the match, Miss Hancock dos another table dance on the commentary table, distracting everyone, including referee Nick Patrick. Johnny The Bull takes out Idol for the win. After the match, Big Vito calls out Miss Hancock, asking her to come to the ring to dance again, this time "for the paisans." She dances with the Mamalukes and Disco Inferno, then The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) rush in and decimate Disco and the Mamalukes before declaring they will become the next WCW World Tag Team Champions.

The Kid Cam catches Buff Bagwell talking to Miss Elizabeth, trying to get a date. Miss Elizabeth refuses, then the camera cuts to a television screen showing the footage before panning to Elizabeth, The Total Package and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair and the Package think Bagwell is out of his mind.

In footage from earlier today, Bam Bam Bigelow predicts Sid Vicious will retain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Tank Abbott due to experience.

Riki Rachtman is seen at the Nitro Party in the Buckeye Cafe in Cleveland, Ohio at Ohio State University. We then see some of the fun and games earlier today at Campus Clash.

We hear from Hulk Hogan, who says that after the sacrifice in Sacramento, California, he realized just how far he and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair have taken their feud, and as he was on the way to the emergency room and waited for each bated breath from Jimmy Hart's body that he thought would be Jimmy's last, he gazed down into Jimmy's eyes, and as Jimmy tried to speak, he realized that the steel cage was not the answer, and neither were the Hulkamaniacs. Jimmy uttered the word "Yappapi," and he knew that the answer was the Yappapi Indian Stretch Match. Hulk Hogan knows that he can box him in contractually, and corner him in. If they are bonded together with leather with nobody else in their way, Flair will understand what the Yappapi Indian Strap Match means as he is in pain. Hulk says he is calling Flair's bluff, and when he straps his wrist into Flair's, the leather will be Flair's last lfieline to the wrestling world and he will beat him to an inch to his life to prove that Flair will bow down to him for eternity.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows up with The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth. Flair asks who Hulk Hogan will strip to him when he has Hulk Hogan's belt, and says Hulkamania is dead after The Total Package beat Hulk Hogan half to death and he took his weight belt. The Total Package then brags about how he and Flair strapped Hogan down and "booted his brains out," then says the funniest thing is that Sting was nowhere to be found as he doesn't have what it takes anymore. He then addresses Buff Bagwell trying to ask Miss Elizabeth for a date, and challenges Buff to a match tonight. The Total Package then verbally craps on Minneapolis, Minnesota. It is not long before Curt Hennig, who has not been seen in months, shows up and stands up for Minneosta before challenging Flair to a match. Flair threatens to slap Hennig in the back of the head, and Hennig says that if he can't beat Flair, he will streak in public next week.

Backstage, Mike Tenay interviews Booker. He is not happy with Kidman not being there last week on Thunder, and he will be blowing off some steam on Kidman tonight.

Torrie Wilson tells Kidman about the Kid Cam being stolen again and that she does not know who took it. Kidman says they will find it after the match.

It is confirmed by inside sources that Sting will be here later tonight.

Backstage, "Mean' Gene Okerlund interviews Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett says WCW is screwing with him again by giving Tank Abbott a World title shot and forcing him to defend the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Vampiro. Tonight, he will show what he is all about, and at Uncensored, "The Chose One" will become "The Chosen Champ." He also refuses to divulge where THe Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) are tonight.

Booker vs. Kidman ends when The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) beat up both men in the match. Before the match begins, it is announced that "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair has accepted Hulk Hogan's challenge to a Yappapi Indian Strap Match.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray, Big T, J. Biggs, Cassius). Stevie Ray says that what happened to Booker earlier is what happens when you don't have anyone watching your back and you aren't "rolling with the big dogs anymore." Stevie Ray and Big T then agree that a hard head makes for "a very soft ass." J. Biggs says he wants to offer Booker some pro bono services, as "graffiti is against the law."

In footage from earlier today, Lash Laroux predicts that Sid Vicious will beat Tank Abbott, since it will take more that one knockout blow to lay Sid out.

We see footage of Arnold Schwarzenegger in attendance, along with "Big Jake," who has the largest arms - 28 inches - in the world. We will get another look at Big Jake on Thunder.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Screamin'" Norman Smiley. Smiley says he has been dealing with injuries, and what Dustin Rhodes did to Tery Funk last week was a crime. He calls Terry Funk an inspiration for him to hold the WCW Hardcore Championship, and now Terry Funk is hurt. He says somebody needs to step up to the plate and help Funk, and tonight, Dustin Rhodes will be doing all the screaming.

Before the next match, Evan Karagias tells Brian Knobbs to put the WCW Hardcore Championship on the line against 3 Count (Karagias, SHannon Moore, Shane Helms) if he thinks he is so tough. Knobbs says that he would be happy to shove their heads up their asses, and Karagias tells Knobbs he will be going down for the three count.

3 Count (Evan Karagias, Shannon Moore, Shane Helms) beat Brian Knobbs to win the WCW Hardcore Championship!

In footage form earlier today, we see fans cheering for Sid Vicious.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Fit Finley and Brian Knobbs. Knobbs says it is his own ignorant mistake that 3 Count (Evan Karagias, Shannon Moore, Shane Helms) got the win, and he wants a rematch for the WCW Hardcore Championship, as once that rematch is official, 3 Count is as good as dead. Finley says they will cross that bridge when they come to it, but until then, they have to occupy themselves and make 3 Count's lives miserable by taking them on in a six-man tag team match on Thunder. When Okerlund says there is only two of them, Finley insists there is three, and Knobbs says it is time to "bring out the dog."

Dustin Rhodes beats "Screamin'" Norman Smiley. During the match, it is announced that Rhodes will face Terry Funk at Uncensored, with stipulations still to come. After the match, Rhodes continues to attack Smiley with his own helmet until WCW security shows up to separate Rhodes from Smiley.

Referee Nick Patrick predicts that Tank Abbott will win tonight, saying that Tank is hungry even though Sid Vicious is at the top of his game.

Jeff Jarrett retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Vampiro. Before the match beings, it is announced that Jeff Jarrett has been fined $30,000 dollars for the guitar shots to the head on WCW Executive Board member Terry Taylor, WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash and referee Mickey Jay over the last two weeks. Druing the match, The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) show up, but Vampiro fights them off. Sid Vicious shows up and fights the Harris Brothers, sending them to the back and distracting referee Nick Patrick. Nick Patrick then gets back in the ring after Jeff Jarrett h its Vampiro with the United States title, and the bell rings despite Vampiro kicking out at two. Nick Patrick notices that Vampiro kicked out at two, and makes it known that Vampiro kicked out before three. Vampiro goes for the top rope guillotine leg drop, but Jarrett dodges it and hits The Stroke to retain.

Backstage, Big Vito has a backstage worked deliver a present to The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris).

The fans are seen cheering for Sid Vicious.

The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Iaukea beats David Flair despite the interference by Crowbar and a catfight between Daffney and Paisley at ringside.

It is revealed that a guitar has been smashed into the head of Sid Vicious, who is being administered oxygen by EMTs.

The Harris Brothers get the present from The Mamalukes (Johnny The Bull and Big Vito), which contains a dead fish. It also carries a note stating "You've got your shot, now watch your back."

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund reports that Sid Vicious has been advised to avoid any strenuous physical activity. A woozy Sid Vicious says he will see Jeff Jarrett and Tank Abbott in Hell.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller shows up and says that nobody thought he would bring out James Brown, and now that he has, everyone is kissing his ass in an attempt to see him again. He also says that the days of driving The Maestro's car are over, and we see the footage of James Brown and The Cat at SuperBrawl. The Cat then proceeds to dance, but it isn't long before The Maestro shows up.

The Maestro beats Ernest "The Cat" Miller after using a stereo - which is playing 3 Count's (Evan Karagais, Shannon Moore, Shane Helms) theme when Symphony turns it on - as a weapon.

The Total Package demands to know from Miss Elizabeth where his baseball bat is.

In footage from earlier today, Kidman says Tank Abbott will win, saying to never underestimate the small man in the right.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats Curt Hennig. During the match, referee Nick Patrick gets smacked with a glancing blow by by Curt Hennig, then Flair whips Hennig into Nick Patrick. Hennig goes for the Hennigplex, but The Total Package runs in and stmops Hennig before leaving. Nick Patrick gets up as Hennig introduces a chair into the match, and Flair kicks Hennig in the groin as Nick Patrick removes the steel chair from the ring for the win. After the match, Flair hits Hennig in the back with Hulk Hogan's weight belt

Meng offers no prediction on who will win between Sid Vicious and Tank Abbott, opting to see both men "kic the hell out of each other."

In footage from last Saturday at the Buckeye Cafe in Cleveland, Ohio, Riki Rachtman does a stage five as three of the Nitro Girls dance.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 28, 2000

RAW

Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley show up to start tonight's show. Triple H says he should be basking in the glory of the greatest match of his life and savoring the moment, but he just cannot do it. Last night, he and Mick Foley almost destroyed each other, and a month ago in tonight's venue, they almost destroyed each other then. He says that if there is one thing he has learned in that time, it is that he has more respect for Cactus Jack than anyone else in his life. Stephanie is surprised to hear this, and Triple H has to tell her "it's a guys' thing." He pays respect to Mick Foley as he has respect for him, and that he knows the fans feel the same way. As a tribute to Foley, he has had the guys in production put together a video package that will chronicle his career, and asks the production crew to roll the footage. Footage of a tribute to Mick Foley plays, then the D-Generation X theme interspersed with humiliating footage of Foley starts playing. Stephanie and Triple H then laugh, and after the footage is over, Triple H says that the WWF will not be the same without Foley; instead, it will be a million times better. Stephanie tells Foley he has a lot to look forward to; instead of being a fat, smelly, disgusting loser, he can be a fat, smelly, disgusting, retired loser, all thanks to Triple H. All of a sudden, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon and Big Show appear, and Shane tells Stephanie that just because Stephanie shattered their father's heart and drove him out of the WWF does not mean he will sit by and let that idly happen. He says that Stephanie has driven WWF into a completely different business, and he is not going to sit back and let that happen as he has been waiting for his spot and align himself with the right individual at the right time. Now that lightning bolt has struck, and he is going to align with a champion other than Triple H - whom he says goes to the beat of his drum and has his own agenda - and The Rock: Big Show, who he says will snap a man's back in seconds and become the future WWF Champion. The Rock shows up, then congratulates everyone in the ring for being "the being the biggest group of assholes The Rock has ever seen." Last night, Big Show beat him, but unlike him, The Rock says he will not bitch, whine, moan or complain as he is still going to WrestleMania and become the WWF Champion. Triple H tells The Rock to get out of his and Big Show's business, and calls him an also-ran and a has-been in the process; he also tells him to go back down to the bottom of the ladder, both figuratively and literally, when he goes one-on-one with The Brooklyn Brawler. He then mocks The Rock's catchphrase, changing it to "If you smell what The Game is playin'," then Shane tells The Rock that he has no chance in Hell of becoming #1 contender for the WWF Championship.

Backstage, The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) confront The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) for their actions at No Way Out, and challenge them to a match, but Faarooq tells them to go away. The Hardys then topple the poker table and run.

The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) following a blind tag to Matt Hardy, who hits Bradshaw with a Twist of Fate for the win.

Backstage, Kurt Angle is seen boring an arena employee over the WWF Intercontinental Championship being five ounces heavier than the WWF European Championship.

Before the next match, Kurt Angle says that unlike Daryl Strawberry, the only thing he is addicted to is capturing championships. Tonight, he is willing to put the European Championship on the line against anyone who will accept his challenge. As a man of integrity, any wrestler in the locker room is more than welcome to take "the Olympic challenge." The challenge is answered by Rikishi Phatu.

Rikishi Phatu beats Kurt Angle by count-out after Kurt Angle runs away from the match and says that the people came to see wrestling, not Rikish's butt in his face. Kurt Angle retains the WWF European Championship. Before Angle can leave, Chris Jericho and Chyna show up, and Jericho says that while Rikishi may have a giant ass, Angle himself is a giant ass, and he and Chyna would liike to see Rikishi give him the Stinkface one more time. Jericho sends Angle backwards into the ring, and Rikishi hits Angle with a spike driver before dragging him into the corner to hit the Banzai Drop. The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero)then show up and gang up on Jericho, Chyna and Rikishi, then Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) rush in and fight off The Radicalz, sending them running along with Kurt Angle. Too Cool stop Jericho and Angle and place the sunglasses them, and they, Too Cool and Rikishi dance.

Backstage, Michael Cole interviews Chris Jericho and Chyna, but referees are seen holding The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero) back. Perry Saturn breaks through and gets in Jericho's face, challenging Jericho to a match.

Before the next match, Terri Runnels shows up with a black bag in her hands. She then guests on commentary for the next match. Al Snow then shows up and says that nobody knows better than he does that one needs a personality to get over with the fans as well as an entrance that captures that personality as well as the imagination. He then brings out "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman to theme music that has women in the background singing "He's got it," much to Blackman's chagrin.

Edge and Christian beat Al Snow and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. During the match, Terri Runnels says that she turned on The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) because they only visited her in the hospital twice. Later in the match, Terri pulls a large foam cheese hat on her head after pulling it out of the black bag, distracting Blackman and giving Edge and Christian the win.

The Rock quickly beats The Brooklyn Brawler. After the match, The Rock tells Triple H that he thinks he must be cute putting him in a match against The Brooklyn Brawler, but he does not feel like leaving New York City, New York. He tells Triple H to get in the ring so he can kick his candy-ass. Triple H shows up, with WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley trying to restrain him. Shortly after that, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up with Big Show and warns Triple H not to get in the ring so that The Rock can goad him into defend the WWF Championship against him again. He insists that the WWF Championship will be defended against Big Show at WrestleMania, but The Rock says that if this is how it will be, then WrestleMania will absolutely suck. Shane then has a conference with Big Show, Stephanie and Triple H on the ramp, and Stephanie tells The Rock that he has one last chance. If The Rock can pin either Big Show or Triple H in a 2-on-1 handicap match tonight, he can get his shot at the WWF Championship at WrestleMania. Shane hates this idea, but Triple H tells The Rock that if he cannot win, this is his last chance. The Rock accepts the challenge and says he will kick their candy-asses.

Gunn takes exception to this and wants in on the action, even though one of his arms is in a sling, and gets in Triple H's face in the process. Triple H forearms Billy Gunn, and he, X-Pac and Road Dogg beat him and toss him out of the room.

Boss Man then says that Tazz sucks as badly as New York City, New York does, and says the mood is about to change as referees and officials check on Tazz.

Mae Young has to smoke a cigar in order to relax and have the baby, and when asked by the EMT when she had her last period, Mae Young says "1957." The EMT asks "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry if he is sure he impregnated Mae.

Extreme Nation - ECW on TNN recap for February 25, 2000

Cyrus is in the ring to start tonight's show. He says the crowd has no idea what pressure he is under as a network executive, and that sometimes in life - and in business - people like him have to make decisions that are best for people like the ones in the crowd. Cyrus says TNN cannot have the ECW World Television Championship on the shelf for twelve weeks, which causes the crowd to chant "You're a bitch!" As Cyrus announces that the network has allowed him to make an executive network decision to appoint a new ECW World Television Champion, Jack Victory, Steve Corino and Rhino show up. He announces that he and the network has awarded the ECW World Television Championship to Rhino, which causes the crowd to boo. Cyrus asks why the crowd is booing when Rhino was the last man in the ring with Rob Van Dam, and he has been destroying men left and right while bringing up the ratings, and he announces that he will have the Television title brought out and awarded to Rhino by none other than Paul Heyman. He says he knows Heyman is in the back, and tells him to do something useful and bring out the Television title as well as a coffee. Paul Heyman shows up with the ECW World Television Champion.

After the opening title sequence, Paul Heyman is in the ring with the ECW World Television Championship, and Cyrus asks where his coffee is. Cyrus then says he knew that one day, they would have a role reversal and that Paul Heyman would be doing what he tells him to do. He tells Heyman to sell out Rob Van Dam and to bend over for the network in front of everyone on TNN. When Cyrus asks Heyman to give him the television title, Heyman beans Cyrus in the face with it only to get jumped by Rhino and Steve Corino while Jack Victory directs traffic. Suddenly, The Sandman shows up in the crowd.

The Sandman is still in the crowd as the show comes back from commercial break. Referee Jim Molineaux enters the ring before The Sandman gets in, then The Sandman enters the ring with beer and one hand and a Singapore cane in the other. Corino gets the Singapore cane out of The Sandman's hand, and Rhino and The Sandman have an impromptu match. As Rhino is held back, he claims that he broke Rob Van Dam's leg.

Rhino vs. The Sandman ends in a no-contest. During the match, Jack Victory and Steve Corino get involved, and Tajiri runs into the ring. Tajiri ducks a Singapore cane swing by The Sandman and spits green mist in his face. Rhino then goes The Sandman through a table, then Super Crazy shows up and fights everybody, including Tajiri, saving The Sandman and clearing the ring in the process.

Backstage, "Dastardly" Danny Doring and Roadkill run into The Dupp Brothers (Bo and Jack Dupp), and Jack Dupp calls Roadkill "a chicken plucker" and Doring "the guy who needs his girl to get over." Doring points out that Bo "picks his ass," Jack picks his nose and flicks it down Bo's throat, and asks who they think they are to tell them how to get over. Doring then challenges The Dupp Brothers toa Loser Leaves Town match, and Jack Dupp spits on his hand before extending it and saying they have a deal. Doring tells Jack "Never touch The Dastdarly One, son," and walks off, and Bo extends his hand only for Danny Doring to say "Chickens" and hiss in their faces. Jack asks Bo if Roadkill just called them chickens, and Bo replies "Chickens? Yum!" before rubbing his belly.

"Dastardly" Danny Doring and Roadkill beat The Dupp Brothers (Bo and Jack Dupp) in a Loser Leaves Town Match. As per pre-match stipulation, The Dupp Brothers are gone from Extreme Championship Wrestling.

Before the next match, "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer says that with this being the first time ECW is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he needs to ask a couple of questions. He asks if this WCW country, to which the crowd replies with a resounding no. He asks if this is WWF country, and the crowd responds to that with another resounding no. He then comes to the conclusion that this is ECW country, and the crow cheers. He says it it time to finish it right here and now, and calls out Raven. Instead of getting Raven, he gets Francine instead. Francine tells Tommy she knows what he is trying to do, and that he is trying to defend her honor and protect her. She appreciates this, but she says that she has seen the tape and that Raven accidentally DDT'd her while he was blinded. She tells Tommy to drop the attitude, and tells him that he is not motivated or focused, and says she has managed the World Heavyweight Champion, the World Television Champion, the World Tag Team Champions, and even helped Dreamer to his first ECW tag titles. Suddenly, The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) and Dawn Marie show up. Justin tells Tommy to chill out, as he, Storm and Dawn Marie are here to watch. Tommy tells them that if they are here to watch, then they should bring Dawn Marie "so she can show her fake tits and give us something to watch." He says he has enough problems, and does not need to deal with The Impact Players right now. Nevertheless; if one of them wants to go one-on-one with him, he "doesn't give a fuck." Storm says he and Justin are the tag team champions, which means that they are a team, and if he wants to fight, he needs to find him a partner, as they intend to give Dreamer a shot at the tag team titles because they love kicking his ass. Dreamer says he doesn't need to look far for a partner, because there are "3,000 sick, hardcore bastards" in the crowd who will be his partner. He then says he will pick anybody in the crowd to be his partner. He then calls The Impact Players "pussies" because they are too scared to fight anybody from Milwaukee. Dawn Marie tells Tommy to put on Francine's skirt, because it is obvious she wears the pants in the relationship. Francine tells Dawn Marie that if she wants a fight, then she will get one with The Impact Players vs. Dreamer and Raven. The Impact Players then ambush Dreamer as soon as Dreamer is surprised by Francine's statement, and the match begins. Shortly after the match begins, Raven shows up in street clothes and fights off The Impact Players.

The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) retain the ECW World Tag Team Championships against "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer and Raven. During the match, The Sinister Minister shows up and hands Raven a bag of powder. Raven tries to throw the powder at Lance Storm, but Storm ducks and the powder hits Dreamer in the eyes as he is about to hit the Dreamer Driver on Justin Credible. Dreamer then accidentally DDT's Francine while blinded, and Raven tends to Francine while, leaving Dreamer on his own as he helps Francine to the back. The Impact Players retain the tag team titles after an assisted spike piledriver to Dreamer on a steel chair.

We hear from The Sinister Minister. He says he is not one to stir the pot, but he says there is a situation he would like to dive into. He mentions how when Raven DDT'd Francine, he had powder in his eyes, and when "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer DDT'd Francine, he had fire in his eyes. He says things are starting to get very, very deep, and laughs as the camera zooms out and shows the outside of the arena.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for February 24, 2000

Before the next match, Hardcore Holly confronts Crash Holly in the locker room for challenging Test for the WWF Hardcore Championship, saying the title is named after him. Crash says he shares the same last name as he does, and that he can be more hardcore than Hardcore ever will be before shoving him to the floor.

Crash Holly beats Test to become the WWF Hardcore Champion after Hardcore Holly - who has been watching from the stage - walks down the ramp with a steel chair and hits Test in the head with a chair shot seemingly intended for Crash.

In the DX Express, WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Triple H have a team meeting with the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), Tori, and The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Eddie Guerrero). Billy Gunn gets to face Buh Buh Ray Dudley tonight, while Saturn and Malenko have a tag team match. Benoit gets to take on Kane tonight, while Triple H, X-Pac and Road Dogg will take care of Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi Phatu). Triple H then says that Cactus Jack is off-limits to everyone but himself.

Big Show shows up. He says he lies awake at night, not understanding why the fans constantly boo him. Two months ago, people cheered for him. Now he wants to know what has changed, and asks if he has changed that much in two months. He says he likes The Rock and supports him, but at the same time, The Rock insulted him by calling him a jabroni, and while it may be funny to the fans, he considers it an insult and he will not put up with it. As he keep saying he is not a bad guy, Big Show also talks about losing the WWF Championship to Triple H and not getting a rematch despite doing everything Triple H wanted him to do, as well as how he won the Royal Rumble Match instead of The Rock. He then says he got screwed due to a few incompetent referees, then says he was trying to win back the fans by proving he won it, and if he has to prove it one more time, he will do it. He shows the footage of the finish to the Royal Rumble Match again - the second time from a different angle and the third time in slow motion - and says his feet did not touch the mat before The Rock's. He then says the fans would cheer loudly for a loser instead of the actual winner, and says he does not understand how the fans can do this. He asks if anyone can explain how this is right, then Kurt Angle shows up. He says he has been listening to what Big Show has been saying, and wants to shake his hand, which he does. He shames the fans for booing Big Show for having a little bit of integrity, and says some people in the WWF do care about the rules as well as what is right and wrong. Angle then tells a story to prove that point about how in 1992, he was training for the Olympic Games in Munich, Germany. All of a sudden, Chris Jericho and Chyna show up before Angle can get further into the story. Jericho welcomes everyone to "Nashville Is Jericho," then mentions how "an Olympic hero with no neck and a ridiculous giant with no testicles" is something you do not see everyday before talking how about "Kirk Angel" made Big Show seem entertaining recently and that he wishes Kurt Angle would shut the hell up. Jericho then says he will give Angle a Y2J beating he will never, ever forget again at No Way Out, and Angle tells Jericho that if he has a problem, they should have their match tonight. He then proposes a tag team match against himself and Big Show, and says that Jericho will never find someone who lacks the intelligence to team up with him. Suddenly, The Rock shows up, and Big Show covers his ears as The Rock speaks. The Rock tells Chris Jericho that while tag team wrestling is not in his repertoire, he will team with him as long as he can get "that Olympic goof" Kurt Angle to know his role and shut his mouth. He could care less about Angle, however, as he is only teaming up with Jericho to get his hands on Big Show. He tells Big Show he has heard his complaints and seen his footage, and tells him that he is absolutely right. He says his feet did touch the ground first, that he did call him a jabroni, and his fans do boo Big Show. He then says the fans boo Big Show and do not give him the respect he deserves for a reason, and has some footage of his own of the one thing Big Show thinks he does best. The footage is The Rock making fun of Big Show raising his hand up and yelling in the locker room that was recorded earlier in the day, and the footage is shown again from a different angle and in slow motion. The Rock then says the fans Big Show because he whines, bitches, moans and complains. He realizes Big Show is seven feet tall, 500 lbs. and the biggest threat to his career. He then tells Big Show to forget about the crowd, as he should be focused on how to keep him from kicking his candy-ass and going to WrestleMania.

Players from the Tennessee Titans football team are in the front row tonight.

We see a video package on the brief history of the Hell In A Cell Match.

Before the next match begins, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero attack Kane before being ejected from the ringside area by referee Jimmy Korderas.

Kane beats Chris Benoit by disqualification. During the match, Tori shows up and slaps Paul Bearer, and Paul Bearer grabs at Tori only to be struck from behind by Chris Benoit. This ends the match, but Kane slowly stalks Tori up the ramp. Suddenly, X-Pac shows up and shoots Kane in the face with a flamethrower, and EMTs immediately have to tend to Kane.

Al Snow, "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman and The Radicalz (Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn) beat Edge, Christian and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) after the action at ringside distracts Christian and leaves Jeff Hardy vulnerable. After the match, The Hardy Boyz and the team of Edge and Christian argue in the middle of the ring, and Matt Hardy slaps Edge in the face. This starts a brwawl between both teams, and referees and officials have to rush into the ring to break everything up. During the match, it is mentioned that Kane ahs been transported to a local medical facility.

D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James) beat Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi Phatu) after Triple H smacks a steel chair into Rikishi's injured ankle and X-Pac pulls Road Dogg away from the Hip Hop Drop. Throughout the match, The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero) are seen watching the match on a television monitor backstage. After the match, DX continues to attack Too Cool, and The Radicalz continue to make fun of what is happening to Too Cool.

Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty help Rikishi into the trainer's room.

The Godfather and D'Lo Brown beat The Big Boss Man and Prince Albert. During the match, it is announced that Kane has been transferred to the burn ward of a local medical facility. Later on in the math, Tazz shows up and attacks both Boss Man and Prince Albert as referee Jack Doan is pre-occupied with D'Lo Brown, allowing The Godfather to hit the Pimp Drop for the win.

Jim Ross interviews Cactus Jack in the ring. Cactus Jack says that when he looks back, he thinks of three WWF Championship, eight WWF Tag Team Championship, being the very first WWF Hardcore Champion, being the king of the Japanese deathmatches, writing New York Times #1 best-seller and having his own Chef Boyardee ravioli commercial. He says he has done everything he has ever set his sights on. He admits that he finds it hard to move around in the mornings after putting his body on the line every night, and told Vince McMahon that he consider hanging the boots up because of it. He was embarrassed of his performance in the ring, and while he funny and "The Rock 'n Sock Connection" was "pretty damn good," but when he looked at his goals, he never set out to make people laugh; he set out to be Cactus Jack. He talks about his career changed after seeing "The Thrilla in Manila," and says it was "The damnedest thing [he] had ever seen in his life" and ended with Joe Frazier sitting on the stool unable to complete the last room. He says he saw himself in Joe Frazier, and saw a guy who had given up his all for fifteen years, and if he had hung up the tights that, nobody would have thought any less of him except for himself, as he did not want to finish his career "sitting on a stool." This led to the match between him and Triple H at Royal Rumble, and he lost to Triple H as he was the better man and just a little bit better. He then challenged Triple H to Hell In A Cell, and mentioned that the last time Hell In A Cell happened, he got two teeth knocked out, knocked out for the first time in his career, a dislocated shoulder and jaw, fourteen stitches below his lip, two broken legs, and kidney damage that wouldn't make him feel the same for ten weeks. He says it was without a doubt the worst beating of his life and the greatest day of his career. Jim Ross leaves the ring, and Cactus Jack says that after all that was done and he tried to stick his tongue through the hole in his lip, he got up and finished the match. Cactus Jack then says that the last five or six retirement matches he has seen were a couple of guys who were prostituting their names and careers for a few extra dollars or to take a six-week vacation, but the two greatest things he has in his life are his name and his word, and he has given his word that No Way Out will be his last match if he loses. He is fully prepared for that match to be his very last, and he realizes that by looking in the crowd, tonight may be the last time he has a chance to talk to the fans. He thanks everyone who believed in "the 22-year-old kid diving off the apron in Texas," everyone who stood up in Worcester, Massachusetts when he won his first WWF Championship, and everyone who bought Have A Nice Day. He cannot guarantee he will win at No Way Out, but he can guarantee he will not end his career sitting on a stool, as he will go down swinging or he will not go down at all. Cactus Jack then tells Triple H that win, lose or draw, he will climb up to the top of the cell and come down on top of him. For the Mankind fans, he says "Have a nice day," and for the Cactus Jack fans, he says "Bang bang!" Cactus Jack is about to walk up the ramp when WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley is seen on the stage. Stephanie says Cactus Jack is a dreamer and a very passionate man, but so is she, and last night, that dream turned into a nightmare when Mankind drove a wooden beam through the front windshield of the DX Express. Stephanie says that Cactus Jack caused over $5,000 worth of damage, and she had to pay well over $350,000 for the DX Express. She then says that at No Way Out, Cactus Jack will be the one who pays with his career when Triple H beats him in Hell In A Cell. She also has a warrant for his arrest, and says he should start paying tonight. Stephanie then brings out four police officers, who pulls out a pair of handcuffs. Cactus Jack allows himself to be handcuffed and to go quietly, then Triple H shows up to watch Cactus Jack being arrested.

Cactus Jack is placed in a jail cell by police as they try to work things out with Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley.

Johnathan Coachman reports that Kane has suffered second-degree burns to his neck as well as vision problems, and that doctors will be running more tests to find out the extent of his injuries. It is also reported that Kane's mask has saved him from suffering even worse injuries.

The police hand Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley the keys to Cactus Jack's cell.

Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley taunt Cactus Jack with the key to the cell and a box of pizza.

"Bad Ass" Billy Gunn beats Buh Buh Ray Dudley by disqualification after D-Von Dudley pulls the top rope down as Billy Gunn is about to go off the ropes to hit the Fameasser. After the match, D-Von whips Billy Gunn into the steel steps, then pulls a table out from underneath the ring. After a brainbuster from D-Von, "Road Dogg" Jesse James shows up and hits Buh Buh Ray with a low blow as he ands on the table, and Billy Gunn puts Buh Buh Ray through the table with a Fameasser after Road Dogg knocks D-Von out of the ring.

Triple H kicks at the walls around the cell Cactus Jack is in, revealing that the steel cage Cactus Jack is in is connected by chains to the DX Express. He then threatens to drag Cactus Jack "from here to Hartford."

Kurt Angle and Big Show beat Chris Jericho and The Rock by disqualification after Chyna hits Big Show in the back with a steel chair to no effect. The Rock saves Chyna from a choke slam, then hits Big Show with a Rock Bottom before Jericho puts Big Show in the Walls of Jericho. Referees run in to restore order, then Jericho gets back in the ring so he and Chyna can brawl with Angle and put him in the Walls of Jericho, while Big Show and The Rock take a brawl of their own to the back. Big Show eventually puts The Rock through a backstage window, and Triple H and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley give Big Show the thumbs up before getting in the DX Express, which drags the cage with Cactus Jack in it on its way out of the arena.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 21, 2000

RAW

The DX Express shows up at the arena, and D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Tori come out. Triple H tells the driver to stay put, "because you never know when a WWF Superstar is gonna want to tkae a ride on the DX Express."

D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Tori show up to start tonight's show. Stephanie asks the crowd to pay attention, but she gets booed so much that she tells them to shut up. She then talks about how they stuffed Kane, Paul Bearer and Cactus Jack in the DX Express and how she and DX had an image of the three of them stranded in the middle of nowhere, and Triple H mocks the mans for being "sweaty, toothless morons." The Rock suddenly shows up soon after that, but Triple H is not impressed when The Rock says he has come back to Atlanta, Georgia. He then says he and Triple H have developed a pattern where every single week, Triple H runs his mouth and subjects everyone to watch him cut a 20-minute promo where he does not really say anything. He mocks Triple H's voice as he does this, then tells Triple H he actually sucks. He says tonight will be a special night, but it will not be a DX night as the thought of another DX night makes him want to stick his finger down his throat and spew "The People's Vomit" all over DX. Triple H compliments "the pajama top" that The Rock is wearing, then says as much as he hates him, he can count on The Rock coming out each week to mention of his catchphrases so DX can laugh at him. However, if he says tonight will be a DX night, it will be a DX night. Since there are four of DX and just one of The Rock, The Rock does not have a chance or a choice. Suddenly, Cactus Jack shows up, and admits that DX left stranded in the middle of the road last Thursday night, but they did not leave him stranded for long as he has been hitch-hiking around the country since he was seventeen years old, and unlike Triple H, America does not hate his guts. He says it did not take long before a big truck with a driver named Big Earl showed up and he told him stories about what he will do to Triple H at No Way Out, including the one where he goes outside of the cage, heads up to the top and flies off the top onto him. Along the way, they saw two more figures and picked up a couple more passengers: Kane and Paul Bearer, who show up. Cactus Jack then says a six-man tag match would sound like a lot of fun, and he decides to give the Atlanta fans a taste of what they can expect to see Sunday. Both sides brawl, then Big Show runs in with a steel chair and levels anyone who is not a member of DX. The Rock and Kane receive a head shot from the steel chair, and Cactus Jack gets Pedigreed by Triple H. Referees and officials head to the ring to restore order.

The six-man tag match between the team of The Rock, Cactus Jack and Kane vs. the team of D-Generation X (Triple H and X-Pac) and Big Show is made official.

Chyna is the focus of the cover and feature article of the newest issue of Raw Magazine.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho welcomes everyone to "Raw is Jericho," then says all the Jerichoholics are ready for a rock 'n roll party tonight. He then asks who could be a better host for "this shindig" than him and Chyna. Kurt Angle then comes out and says that not good thing has happened in Atlanta, Georgia since he won Olympic gold in 1996, and that since then, Atlanta has gone from cheering Olympic heroes to cheering "punks and foul-mouthed hooligans and bad apples" like John Rocker, Isaiah Rider and Chris Jericho. He then explains himself for last week's actions on SmackDown when he attacked Chyna with the WWF European Championship. He then says he was told by reliable sources that Chyna was going to steal his belt and sell it for money so she could buy more plastic surgery. He then says he and The British Bulldog are going to give Jericho and Chyna they will never, ever forget, mocking Jericho as he says "ever." Jericho attacks both men, starting the next match early.

Kurt Angle and The British Bulldog beat Chyna and Chris Jericho after Angle hits Jericho in the face with the WWF Intercontinental Championship while Jericho has The British Bulldog in the Walls of Jericho as referee Jimmy Korderas is pre-occupied with keeping Chyna out of the ring.

Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) meet up with Rikishi Phatu as he is getting his ankle taped up by a medical doctor, but Rikishi Phatu tells them not to worry about him and take care of their business. The doctor tells Rikishi he should not compete tonight, and Too Cool tells Rikishi not to worry about Eddie Guerrero, but Rikishi tells them to handle their business.

Before the next match, Al Snow talks with "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman backstage. Snow says Too Cool are over because they dance, and says he and Blackman should dance, too. Snow puts some sunglasses on Blackman's face, then Al Snow turns on a stereo and tries to dance to it. Blackman is not impressed.

Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) beat Al Snow and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman after Blackman does the moonwalk at the behest of Al Snow only to be shoved into Snow - knocking Snow off the apron - and rolled up by Scotty 2 Hotty. During the match, The Radicals (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero) are seem watching the match on a television monitor backstage.

The Radicals (Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko) beat The Godfather and D'Lo Brown despite Saturn not being the legal man as he hits the top rope elbow drop prior to the pinfall. Before the match, it is announced that fans can chat with Tazz, The Rock and The Radicals (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero) on an exclusive webcast on WWE.com at 11 PM Eastern after Raw.

Backstage, The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) and The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) argue. Billy Gunn says he and Road Dogg know what they are doing, and tells them to follow while they lead. Buh Buh Ray tells The New Age Outlaws that he and D-Von will see them in the ring, and tells them to try to keep up.

WWF warns us: don't try this at home.

The DX Express is still parked outside of the arena.

"Bad Ass" Billy Gunn hits Christian with a cheap shot with the microphone after saying "If you're not down with that..." before the match begins.

Edge, Christian and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) and The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) despite Christian dragging Jeff Hardy out of a pinfall too late after Buh Buh Ray Dudley hits "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn in the head with a steel chair from behind.

WAR ZONE

The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) and "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry beat The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) and Viscera. After the match, Mae Young gets in the ring and stomps on Crash Holly only to get clotheslined by Hardcore Holly and splashed by Viscera. Mark Henry and EMTs scramble to check on Mae Young, who is put on a stretcher.

A distraught "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry joins Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah in the ambulance with Mae Young.

Chris Benoit beats Test. During the match, Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko are seen watching the match on a television monitor. Later on in the match, Eddie Guerrero sneaks towards the ring with his left arm still in a cast, and smacks Test in the back with a piece of pipe, unbeknownst to the referee. Benoit then hits the flying headbutt from the top rope for the win.

Rikishi Phatu comes down to the ring on a reinforced steel crutch for his match with Eddie Guerrero as the rest of The Radicalz (Chris Benoit, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko) watch from backstage on a television monitor. Guerrero shows up and says that Rikishi isn't looking "too cool," and mockingly asks if Rikishi put too much weight on it before saying Rikishi hurt it while dancing. He tells Rikishi not to go anywhere, and says that since Rikishi's ultimate goal is to get on Dance Fever, he will show him a new step, which he. As soon as Eddie turns his back, Rikishi then smacks the crutch into Eddie's head and hits the Banzai Drop on Eddie to get the win, revealing that he is not hurt after all. Rikishi Phatu beats Eddie Guerrero in a no-disqualification match. After the match, the rest of The Radicalz attack Rikishi, but Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) show up with crutches of their own and use them to level The Radicalz. Perry Saturn eats the spike piledriver, and Too Cool stand tall in the ring before dancing.

The DX Express is seen outside of the arena again.

Michael Cole interviews Cactus Jack, who does not care if he takes a ride on the DX Express again, as he will hitchhike to get to where he needs to again. What obsesses him, however, is the look he wants to have and cannot stop thinking about: the look on Triple H's face when he is 23 feet above the ring ready to leap off the cage on top of him. He says he has to win at No Way Out, or else he, Mankind and Dude Love are done and will never again. He will dive off the top of the cage, and if he has to show up to WrestleMania with a walker, he will. Leaping off the top of the cell is the one thing he has never done, and at Hell In A Cell at No Way Out, it is the one thing he has to and will do.

Backstage, Triple H tells X-Pac that they and Big Show will get the job done, and X-Pac and Big Show open up the baggage compartment of the DX Express as Triple H says that somebody will be taking a ride tonight.

Tazz beats The Big Boss Man by disqualification after Boss Man uses his nightstick to break the Tazzmission. After the match, Prince Albert shows up and attacks Tazz, then gangs up on him along with The Big Boss Man.

Big Show and D-Generation X (Triple H and X-Pac) beat The Rock, Cactus Jack and Kane after Triple H hits Cactus Jack with a fire extinguisher behind referee Earl Hebner's back. After the match, The Rock is seen beating up Big Show on top of a pile of boxes, and Triple H runs over there. Kane and X-Pac also go at it there near a production area, and both team s continue to brawl. WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley hits Cactus Jack with a trash can lid, which distracts Cactus Jack so that Triple H can hit him. Afterwards, Triple H, Stephanie, Tori and X-Pac run back to the DX Express, but Cactus Jack has caught up. Triple H tries to slow Cactus Jack down by throwing things at him, and he and Stephanie make it back to the DX Express. Cactus Jack pushes a steel pole through the front windshield of the DX Express, which manages to speed off.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 21, 2000

Jeff Jarrett tells The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) that he has been screwed for the last time as they come out of their Cadillac, and guarantees that the WCW World Heavyweight Championship will be around his waist before the night is over after they show what their New World Order is all about.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund is about to do an interview with Hulk Hogan in the ring when The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth show up. The Total Package tells Hogan his return was not triumphant, as he is still the most perfect specimen in sports entertainment today, and tells anyone who cares about professional wrestling to take a look at him, as Hogan cannot touch his level of physical fitness on his best day. He is also upset that Jimmy Hart and Sting got involved after his and Hogan's match and stopped him from breaking Hogan's other arm, which would have led to someone spoon-feeding Hogan his oatmeal this morning. He says he kicked "the dog crap" out of Hulk Hogan for fifteen minutes, and if Hogan thinks he is done with him, he is mistaken as this is only the beginning and he will not come out of it so lucky the next time they square off in the ring. Hulk Hogan shows up and say it sounds like The Total Package is in a lot of trouble. He says The Total Package runs his mouth about beating him up all over the building as well as about next time, and challenges him to a match tonight. The Total Package tells Hogan to call his family first, since he will be spending the night in a hospital bed. Hogan says he has heard The Total Package's complaints and says he and Jimmy Hart have made some special preparations, such as the steel cage above The Total Package's head. He tells The Total Package to get pumped up tonight, as he will see him in the steel cage.

Jeff Jarrett shows up with The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) and Scott Steiner's women. Jarrett says he was screwed for the last time at SuperBrawl 2000 last night, and that there is no reason why he should not have walked out with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship; nevertheless, WCW has screwed him again. He then says there is a reason why he is called "The Chosen One," because he has a signed document which states that if for any reason he does not walk out of SuperBrawl without the WCW World title, he will get a one-on-one rematch against Sid Vicious. All Sid has to do is name the time and place, as his days as WCW World Heavyweight Champion are numbered. Jarrett then states that his document has been signed by WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash, and while Nash's penmanship is a bit messy, it is to be expected after being hit in the head with a guitar and it is the real deal. He also announces that he will unleash The Harris Brothers on anyone who gets in his way, and everybody in the back is fair game. Jarrett then says that if WCW wants a war, they've got one, and they can choke on it.

A black limousine pulls up at the arena, and Sid Vicious comes out of the back door.

In the locker room, Kidman cannot find his Kid Cam.

Madusa finds out she does not have a match tonight, and blames it on Oklahoma. She then breaks the whiteboard listing all the matches tonight.

Kidman vs. Lash Laroux ends with The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) running into the ring and attacking both men. It is announced during the match that Jeff Jarrett's signed document has been brought to the WCW Executive Committee, who are now analyzing the document's authenticity before making the World title match official.

We learn that someone is recording Buff Bagwell talking to Symphony about The Maestro on the Kid Cam, as well as Symphony rejecting his advances. When Symphony tells Buff that she is not going out with him, he tells her to keep quiet, as he has almost gotten in trouble once with Diamond Dallas Page and Kimberly, and he does not want something like that to happen again.

The latest issue of WCW Magazine is available today, and inside is a centerfold of Miss Hancock.

Vampiro beats Fit Finley. During the match, it is announced that the WCW Executive Committee will rule on the potential rematch between Jeff Jarrett and Sid Vicious for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship during the next segment, and it is also announced that the steel cage match between Hulk Hogan and The Total Package has also been made a Last Man Standing Match. After the match, Finley attacks Vampiro from behind and hits him with a Tombstone Piledriver.

Backstage, The Maestro is seen beating up Buff Bagwell in front of Symphony as security guards try to pull The Maestro off Bagwell.

Madusa finds La Parka backstage and whispers something into his ear. La Parka simply says "yes" twice.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Booker backstage. Booker says the past is over, and he tells Big T and Stevie Ray they can take the past and stick it as it is all over and he is not worried about it anymore.

Before the next match, Disco Inferno gets on the microphone and shows his irritation with him having to wrestle Booker instead of Big Vito. Disco calls out Booker, who shows up, and proposes that he give him a 2-on-1 handicap match against The Mamalukes (Big Vito and Johnny The Bull) for the WCW World Tag Team Championships. Booker gets in the ring and attacks Disco, and the match begins.

Booker beats The Mamalukes (Big Vito and Johnny The Bull) by disqualification after Disco Inferno gets on the apron and crotches Booker on the top rope. The Mamalukes (Big Vito and Johnny The Bull) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships. Extreme Nation - ECW on TNN recap for February 18, 2000

After announcing there is officially less than an hour before Rollerjam, Cyrus announces that last week, ECW allowed "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes to place his hands on him, and says ECW does not need any more heat with the network than it already has. He also addressed Rob Van Dam's broken leg, saying that he has come up with a solution concerning this and the ECW World Television Championship: Rob Van Dam will be stripped of the title by ECW, and ECW will comply with what he and the network tells them to do. He will let ECW know what they will do with the Television title. He then says it is 57 minutes and 53 seconds until Rollerjam after telling everyone to watch ECW Wrestling tonight.

It is announced that ECW: Hardcore Revolution has been out on Sony PlayStation and Nintendo 64 since yesterday, and some brief footage from the game is displayed.

We hear from Masato Tanaka, who cuts a promo in Japanese on tonight's main event. He then says in English that he will win the ECW World Heavyweight Championship back from Mike Awesome.

Danny Doring and Roadkill beat Nova and Chris Chetti despite Nova moving out of the way of a splash through a table by Roadkill. The match is Chris Chetti's first since returning to full-time action after injuring his back at Anarchy Rulez. Both men share respect after the match, then The Impact Players (Justin Credible and Lance Storm) run in with "The Sexiest Man Alive" Jason and decimate both teams.

Mike Awesome tells Masato Tanaka that he has beaten Tazz, Spike Dudley and New Jack's asses, and if he wants to take the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, he will give him an awesome ass beating.

Super Crazy beats C.W. Anderson after putting Anderson through a table and nearly impaling himself on a table leg while trying to put Anderson through another after Wild Bill Whiles and Lou E. Dangerously's interference attempt backfires.

It is announced that Rob Van Dam will be out for at least 12 weeks with his broken leg.

Chris Chetti and Nova tell The Impact Players that tonight that if they want to attack them after their match and make an impact, then they just became their biggest fans. Chetti says he set up rings and got dumped on his head by Tazz for three years to make an impact, and he did not have to "wear a yellow jockstrap on his head and carry ["The Heartbreak Kid"] Shawn Michaels' bags to the car" to do it, either. Nova says he wrestled in the ring for free to earn his position in the company, and he did not a girl like Dawn Marie to get over. Chetti says the next time they see them, they will be the ones making the impact.

Mike Awesome retains the ECW World Heavyweight Championship against Masato Tanaka after a top rope Awesome Bomb through a table.

Next week: Paul E. Heyman's response to Rob Van Dam being stripped of the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, as well as Rob Van Dam's response!

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for February 17, 2000

A tour bus is seen approaching the arena at the start of the show. On the top of the front of the bus reads "DX Express." D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), Tori and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley all come out of the bus and make their way to the ring. Billy Gunn says that at No Way Out, he and Road Dogg will up the tag team titles on the line against The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley), and tells the Dudleys that if they think they are impressing anybody by putting women through tables, it will take a lot more than that. Road Dogg tells the Dudleys that they are neither Terri Runnels or B.B., and they have been putting people through tables since before "they brought [The Dudley Boyz] up from the minor leagues," and says their chances of taking the tag titles from them are that of a snowball's chance in Hell. X-Pac says that thanks to Triple H, he has Kane in a no-holds-barred match, but regardless of whatever kind of match it is, Kane will not get retribution from him for taking Tori. He then passes the microphone to Triple H before passively-aggressively thanking him in a sarcastic manner. Triple H tells Cactus Jack that it wasn't too long ago that they were face-to-face at Royal Rumble in probably one of the greatest fights of all time. He left his blood and part of his flesh in New York City when they went through hell, and this Sunday, hell will be contained in a cell and it will start for Cactus Jack and continue from there on out, as real hell for Cactus Jack will be every day after No Way Out when he is too hurt to do everyday activities and no fans will cheer for him. Triple H says that if Cactus Jack has a dream to beat him for the WWF Championship and go on to WrestleMania, then he has a dream to be in the World Wrestling Federation without him in it. Triple H tells Cactus Jack to savor the last bit of time he has as a WWF Superstars, as his days are numbered and he will put an end to his career once and for all. Triple H then tells X-Pac that he is sorry about what happened Monday night, and that he had no idea that Cactus Jack and The Rock would get involved. He admits he had a plan, but it went awry. He plans to make it up to X-Pac by taking care of his problem and going one-on-one with Kane tonight. X-Pac says he is not impressed and that does not do much for him, and tells him to put the WWF Championship on the line "so he can be doing something." Triple H says if that will get the job done and show how stand-up he is, he will put the WWF title on the line tonight and take Kane out for X-Pac. X-Pac says he is impressed, and X-Pac returns the favor by saying he will kick Cactus Jack's ass in the middle of the ring. Triple H says he is not that impressed, and reminds him of what they have done to DX. Triple H asks Kevin Dunn in the production truck to show a video package of what happened last Monday when Cactus Jack ran over Tori on the way to the ring, and says it gets him hot when he sees Cactus Jack run down a ramp and tackle "an innocent looking waif" like Tori. He says that if X-Pac wants to get the job done and end it, he would take on Cactus Jack in a Falls Count Anywhere hardcore match. X-Pac tells Triple H that if it is hardcore he wants, it is hardcore he will get, and they shake hands. Triple H goes on to put The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg, Billy Gunn) in a match against The Rock and Big Show with the tag team titles on the line. At first the Outlaws are alarmed, but they are soon okay with the match. Triple H then says that he and Kane are going to go one-on-one for the WWF Championship in a few moments, and when Kane leaves the ring, he will feel like he just got hit by a bus.

Backstage, "Sexual Chocolate' Mark Henry and Mae Young are seen displaying a public display of affection when The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) show up and show their disapproval. Hardcore Holly goes on and says the edible panties from this Monday's Raw made him sick, but Mark Henry counters by saying it will make Hardcore sick if he eats a lot of them, and says they're so pent up because "they ain't gettin' none." Hardcore Holly says Mae Young is "trailer park trash" and has had more hands on her than a doorknob. Mark Henry tells Hardcore to watch his mouth, but Hardcore and Crash knock Mae Young down and beat up Mark Henry.

WrestleMania 2000 is seven weeks away!

Kane vs. Triple H for the WWF Championship ends in a no-contest after the rest of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) attack Kane and X-Pac attacks Paul Bearer at ringside. As the rest of DX follows X-Pac, Kane gets up and leaves the ring, going after DX. DX takes Paul Bearer out of the arena and into the baggage compartment of the DX Express. Kane catches up with DX, but X-Pac hits Kane with a low blow before DX shoves Kane in the compartment with Paul Bearer. Triple H then ask for the driver of the DX Express to drive off with Paul Bearer and Kane in the baggage compartment. Triple H retains the WWF Championship.

Before the next match, Kurt Angle says that it is to his understanding that late Monday night, millions of children went o bed crying their eyes out due to a cowardly attack hed suffered at the hands of Chyna. He says parents have called him saying that their children where having nightmares about Chyna attacking them as well, and says having Chyna in your dreams is bad enough. He tells his fans, especially those in Europe, that the European Champion is A-OK. After he beats Chris Jericho at No Way Out, he will once again represent the United States of America as the Intercontinental Champion.

Tazz beats Gangrel with the Tazzmission. Before the match begins, it is announced that "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry has challenged The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) to a handicap no-disqualification match later tonight.

Lilian Garcia interviews Cactus Jack. Cactgus Jack says that in ten days, it will be revealed whether he goes on to WrestleMania or he is done for good. Two things are keeping him going: winning the WWF Championship and what Triple H has said about him. He says that Triple H mentioned the truth when he says that he suffers in constant pain and that his head sometimes feels like scrambled eggs. He is not going to guarantee victory, but he will guarantee that win or lose, Hell In A Cell will be "the damnedest things you will ever see." He tells Triple H that he has very bad thoughts running through his head, and he will go up to the top of the cage and drop down on his body. He guarantees that Triple H will suffer at No Way Out. He then says he wants nothing to do with X-Pac or even looking at him, as talented as he is, and he will rely on his instincts and kick his teeth all over Fresno, California. He tells Lilian Garcia to sit back and watch for flying morals.

Mae Young is beating The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) at poker.

X-Pac vs. Cactus Jack in a Falls Count Anywhere hardcore match ends with Cactus Jack being lured towards the DX Epress by X-Pac. D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) throw Cactus Jack into the baggage compartment after a brief brawl in the bus between Cactus Jack and Triple H before asking the driver to drive off.

The Radicals (Perry Saturn and Dean Malenko) beat Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) after referee Jack Doan is pre-occupied with Dean Malenko and Eddie Guerrero rushes in to hit Scotty 2 Hotty in the head with a metal pipe. During the match, it is announced that Eddie Guerrero - still wearing the shoulder sling - will be challenging Rikishi to a match later tonight. After the match, The Radicals continue to attack Too Cool as Rikishi limps down the ramp with a hurt ankle. Malenko and Saturn mock Rikish before going after him, but Rikishi manages to fend them both off until Eddie Guerrero whacks Rikishi in the hurt ankle with the pipe. Saturn puts the hurt ankle through a steel chair while Dean Malenko brings steel steps into the ring. Malenko and Saturn then smash the steel steps into the steel stair, further hurting that ankle. Referees and officials get into the ring to restore order before Saturn mocks Too Cool by wearing Scotty 2 Hotty's sunglasses. EMTs have to bring out a stretcher and check on Rikishi.

Scotty 2 Hotty and Grandmaster Sexay help the EMTs get Rikishi Phatu in the ambulance.
