He announces that he wants in the Fatal 5-Way Match for the WWE Championship at Fastlane, and that he is here to do whatever it takes to earn a spot, not to get a hand-out. He is ready to figure out what he has to do. Suddenly, Commissioner Shane McMahon shows up. Shane welcomes Cena back, and says that while everyone is looking for their role in WrestleMania, the pathway he is proposing is putting him directly into the WWE Championship match. The crowd responds, and Cena says half want him to win and half want him to lose. Should Cena win, he would go on to not only main event WrestleMania, but also go in as a 17-time world champion. Shane says SmackDown Live is the land of opportunity, but before he can say much more, General Manager Daniel Bryan shows up. Daniel Bryan says everyone is on the same page, as SmackDown Live is the land of opportunity and everyone in the WWE Championship match earned an opportunity to get in. Daniel Bryan says Cena will get his opportunity, and if he wins, he is in. Xavier Woods says The New Day is looking for a road to WrestleMania, but Kofi Kingston says that at Fastlane, they will be facing The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Big E says their rivalry is hotter than the inside of his thighs in both the summer and winter. He then repeatedly asked to be spritzed with perfume, and is spritzed. Xavier Woods says they want the tag team titles, and Kofi says that while they respect The Usos, it is all about winning and making their way to WrestleMania. The Usos then show up, saying The New Day are at it again. They remind The New Day that the last time they met for the blue brand tag titles, they were the ones who came out on top and they have not looked back since. They admit they used to be singing and dancing and looking like Skittles like The New Day did, but it got them nowhere, and that they have been proving they are worthy of being at WrestleMania while The New Day have been dancing. Year after year for nine years, they have been passed over, having been sidelined and off the main card. The Usos say that this year will be their time. The Usos state that they will be in the game while The New Day will be on the sidelines this year, but Big E says The New Day have been at the top where they belong and busting their chops all the while. Big E also reminds them that they rushed the field and took what was theirs, and that their fathers didn't get them there. He tells The Usos that they will become five-time tag team champions, and there is nothing they can do about it. Just as both teams get in each others' faces, The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan) show up. Harper and Rowan stand on the apron, and The New Day and The Usos both clear the ring before they get in.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 27, 2017

Goldberg starts tonight's show. He talks about how Kevin Owens showed up all dressed up last week and talked and talked and talked. He says that he has never made a promise he has not followed through with, and promises to beat Kevin Owens for the WWE Universal Championship and face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. After Goldberg tells Owens he'll see him Sunday, Owens shows up. Owens says he's in as good a mood as Goldberg, and tells him he promised himself that he would grab WWE by the throat and show them what he is all about, and he followed through on his promise as he plowed through everyone in his path. He tells Goldberg that no matter how loud his name is chanted, he's next in the evolution of Kevin Owens as Universal Champion. Goldberg says the crowd should give him a hand for that speech, which did nothing but piss him off as he tells him to get in the ring so they can do it now. Owens teases fighting him, but then says that the Green Bay, Wisconsin crowd doesn't deserve to see him right. They will fight this Sunday, however, and Owens says he can't wait to destroy him and make the Goldberg chants die.

The focus then turns to the ice cream, and give us the slogan "New Day Pops: A mouthful of magic? I gotta have it!" The Shining Stars (Primo and Epico) then show up. In a joke that clearly lampoons the Best Picture gaffe from last night's Oscars ceremony, Primo and Epico find out they're facing Big Show, while it is announced that The New Day will be facing Rusev and Jinder Mahal next.

She then says that Bayley is only born to be a one-hit wonder. Bayley shows up, and tells Charlotte she's beaten her three times, whether anyone likes or not, and she now dreams of going to WrestleMania as champion. Charlotte says she will regain the title before that happens, and that she will embarrass her in front of her own father at Fastlane. Suddenly, Sasha Banks shows up, saying that Bayley is everything the fans want and everything Charlotte wishes she could be. Charlotte says that Sasha should be exhausted and out of breathe from taking Bayley's spotlight, but Sasha says she's exhausted of seeing Charlotte's face and reminds Bayley they have a tag team match. Charlotte says she's right, but Dana Brooke, who is in the ring with her right now, isn't her partner. Instead, it's Nia Jax.

When asked if he'll be back in time for WrestleMania, he says that his chances aren't great and that he won't be cleared in time. All of a sudden, Triple H shows up, lets him know that Samoa Joe is at ringside, and tells Rollins he won't be at WrestleMania if he knows what's good for him. He tells Rollins he knew what he was getting into, and tells him he used him up and spit him up. He then calls Rollins "the past" and a washed-up Superstar. He tells him not to come to WrestleMania and call him out, or else it will be the last thing he does in a WWE ring as he is done playing with him. Rollins tells Triple H that he's going to do it anyway, and if it's the last thing he ever does, it will be the last thing Triple H ever does. Triple H and Rollins stare down, then Triple H and Samoa Joe leave.
