Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 26, 1998

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

It is announced by Tony Schiavone that some systems went down prematurely during Halloween Havoc last night, and that 10 to 20% of households watching Halloween Havoc were not able to see the end of Hollywood Hogan vs. The Warrior as well as the entirety of Diamond Dallas Page vs. Goldberg for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Because of this, World Championship Wrestling has decided to air DDP vs. Goldberg for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Halloween Havoc in its entirety for free on the second hour of the show. Schiavone says that this was not a ploy by WCW to go off the air early.

Stevie Ray beats Kenny Kaos after Buff Bagwell shows up, distracts the referee and Kenny Kaos, and tosses Stevie Ray a slapjack, which he whacks Kenny Kaos with as soon as he turns around. Bagwell and Stevie Ray attack Kenny Kaos after the match, but Rick Steiner rushes in and makes the save. Rick then checks on Kenny Kaos, and asks him to be his partner to take on the nWo tonight, as nobody gave him a chance when he first started. Kaos says his tag team partner is on the shelf with a bad shoulder, but he has idolized Rick for a decade, and would be honored to defend the WCW World Tag Team Championships with him tonight.

Kanyon beats Prince Iaukea. Before the next match, it is announced that Hollywood Hogan vs. The Warrior will not be shown in its entirety tonight, as the end of the match is considered too graphic to show on cable TV on not suitable for the Turner networks, and because of that, that match can only be shown on pay-per-view. Also, when Kanyon asks who's better than him, the crowd still chants "Everybody!"

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls, this time at the commentary table.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko). Flair says Steve "Mongo" McMichael is missing in action, but he will be here before the night is over. Flair says that Eric Bischoff has come under some hard times while trying to keep Horsemen out of the building and off of television, and tells him the Horsemen are here and here to stay. Suddenly, Bischoff shows up, and says he has underestimated Flair and did not realize how much that he meant to the fans, and that there is no doubt in his mind that everyone wants to see him wrestle again. To show Flair the goodwill in his heart and bridge the gap between himself and Flair, he will give Flair the opportunity to wrestle tonight, as he wants to give the fans what they want. After Bischoff leaves, Flair admits he does not trust Bischoff, but he will be in the ring dressed to kill.

Dave and Karen Mason of Hampton, Virginia are this week's Nitro Party Pack winners. We see some footage from their Nitro Party.

Alex Wright beats Barry Horowitz.

Wrath beats Sick Boy.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Goldberg for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Halloween Havoc is replayed in its entirety. (Due to this replay, this would be the last episode where Nitro would beat Raw in the ratings; after this, Raw would continue to dominate for the rest of the Monday Night Wars.)

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Kevin Nash in his dressing room. All of a sudden, Scott Hall shows up. Nash tells him it was not about winning or losing, and it was about getting Hall back as a friend. Hall admits he hit a wall last night, and that it is time to change his life. Nash says his walking away from Hall during their match was not about proving a point, and that all he needed to do was to beat some sense into Hall. Hall says that if if maybe he can change his life, maybe he can help Nash out if he wants him. This proves to be a set-up as The Giant shows up and boots Nash in the face, and Hall joins in on the attack, which ends Nash is both figuratively and literally thrown through a wall.

We see a video package of The Nitro Girls, followed by a performance by The Nitro Girls.

nWo Hollywood shows up. Eric Bischoff introduces Horace Hogan as the newest member of nWo Hollywood, and Hollywood Hogan says it is quite obvious to everyone in the wrestling world that he is the god of wrestling and that the nWo is the sole residing power, and if you're blac-and-white, you would die for those colors. This is why Stevie Ray, Scott Hall, Vincent, Scott Steiner, Buff Bagwell and The Giant are watching his back, for anyone who messes with nWo Hollywood is digging their own grave. To join nWo Hollywood, one must spill their blood and stab themselves in the heart to prove their loyalty, and for that, he is proud to introduce Horace Hogan as the newest member of nWo Hollywood and bestows the colors of the black-and-white on him for life, and hopes that he will chop all obstacles with the edge of his hand and prove by the end of the night that he is true to the black-and-white.

Saturn beats Eddie Guerrero by disqualification after he is attacked by Damian and Hector Garza. Eddie tries to attack Saturn after the match, but Saturn ducks and sends Eddie over the top rope before more Latino World Members show up, including a man wearing a red bandanna and a black vest hits him with a brainbuster-like maneuver.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Judy Bagwell. She says that Buff Bagwell has let his family down big time after all that she did for him.She wants to protect him, but he let Scott Steiner talk to her like a dog, and says Buff has degraded the family name and that the family will not tolerate it any longer. Tonight, she is a mother on a mission and tired of being nice, and tells Buff Bagwell that she loves Marcus Bagwell with all her heart, but she has had enough of Buff.

Scott Steiner and Kenny Kaos retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Stevie Ray and The Giant.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

Eric Bischoff replaces Mike Tenay on commentary for the next match, and says he will stay true to his word by letting the world see "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair wrestle...by showing footage of Flair taking on Hollywood (then Hulk) Hogan at Bash At The Beach 1994.

Kidman retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Juventud Guerrera.

We see the first two videos in the WCW/nWo Superstar Series: Sting Unmasked! and "Macho Man" Randy Savage: Behind The Madness!", courtesy of Trident Entertainment. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan tries to steal one of the videos, but gets caught.

Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell show up. He says the only reason why everyone is in the arena right now is to see nWo Hollywood, and where nWo Holywood goes, there is a party. For the last two weeks, he's been going strong and putting girls down, having them tell him who their daddy is. What he wants to know is if the ladies love him for his mind or his body, and says he is their hook-up and to "holla if you hear me." He then tells Buff Bagwell that he is the best set-up man in wrestling today, and not only are they nWo for life, they are friends for life. Buff then has a message for all the mothers in the crowd, and knows that his mother Judy Bagwell was here earlier saying he ruined the Bagwell family name, and tells all the mothers that their place is in the kitchen before telling his father to set Judy straight. Scott then says that he knows two people are in the building: Rick Steiner and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon. He calls out Dillon, wanting a rematch against his brother Rick Steiner tonight. Dillon shows up, and Scott Steiner says he lied to Dillon, claiming that when he turned his back on WCW, he knew that Dillon liked his brother more than he liked him. Dillon admits he liked Rick, but has nothing against him. He also accuses Dillon of thinking his brother was better than him, but Dillon tells him his track record speaks for itself and both Steiners are pretty good athletes. Scott then accuses Dillon of wanting Rick to beat him last night at Halloween Havoc, and asks him two questions: Why did the referee at the start of the match not finish the match. Dillon tells him to watch the replay tomorrow night, but Scott demands an answer from him, saying Dillon had something to do with that. Dillon says he did not touch the initial referee, and Scott and Buff accuse him of lying. Dillon says that if he were at ringside during the match, he would have sent another referee because it is the right thing to do. Scott Steiner then kicks Dillon in the gut and tells him the right thing to do is to "kick his WCW butt." Security shows up and tries to stop Steiner as he puts Dillon in the Steiner Recliner.

The Warrior shows up. Last night, Hollywood Hogan had the opportunity to face him like a man, and he failed. Last night, he had the opportunity to set a fire with but one match that will now haunt him forever. He tells Hogan there is a difference between beating someone up and genuinely beating a man, and the Warriors know he beat the hell out of him last night, and Hogan's pinfall does not change it. The Warrior tells Hogan he has opened the door to The Warrior's hell, and he is its gatekeeper. He says the time is near, then Hollywood Hogan shows up, but Horace Hogan gets on the apron and gets in the ring for Hollywood's sake only for The Warrior to take him down and out of the ring. The Giant goes in, but he fares no better. Hollywood attacks The Warrior from behind, but The Warrior takes him down and knocks Eric Bischoff off the apron.

Scott Steiner and Scott Hall vs. Lex Luger and Konnan de-evolves into an all-out brawl.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Bret "The Hit Man" Part to win the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Bret kicks both DDP and referee Mickey Jay in the groin at the same time, then pulls out a foreign object and wraps it around his hand. He revives referee Mickey Jay, abut DDP ducks the punch and hits the Diamond Cutter to win the United States title for a second time. Bret attacks Page after the match and punches out referee Mickey Jay, then grabs a steel chair and rams it into DDP's kneecap before putting him in the Sharpshooter. He then lets go and continues to attack DDP with the steel chair, then Goldberg runs in as the show ends.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 26, 1998

RAW

The show starts with footage from earlier tonight where "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is announced to have entered the building.

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up with numerous officials. Vince says that against his volition, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is in the building tonight, and not only does he hold Austin responsible for every single reprehensible act he committed against him, he lets the fans knows they are held responsible as well. Vince says he has lost all faith in humanity after hearing the crowd cheers, and asks where their morals and values are as well as where they were in his hour of need. He then says they were cheering for everything Austin was doing to him, and savored every violation and liberty that Austin took against him. He then says that what they enjoyed most was when Austin forced him into the ring, forced him down on his knees and made him beg, cry and urinate himself (the latter of which gets an overwhelmingly positive response from the crowd). He says nobody came to his aid, not even Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, or WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. He announces that his ankle is re-injured, that a perfectly good Armani suit is ruined, and he hurts all over, but most of all, his feeling have been hurt and crushed. Despite the injury, the insult afterwards is something he will never forgive Austin for, as the letter Austin gave him last week was a legal document. He then announces he has attorneys behind him, and tells Austin he will fight him in court if he has to, even if it goes all the way to the Supreme Court. He tells Austin to take stock in what he has to say. The show then cuts to Austin backstage telling Vince to invest stock in Pampers diapers after urinating on himself, which is seen on the TitanTron. Vince is then wheeled to the back.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is seen talking to his attorneys, telling him there has to be a way to break the legal document "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gave him.

X-Pac retains the WWF European Championship against "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman by disqualification after X-Pac is suddenly attacked by Steven Regal. The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), referees and officials all have to get Regal off X-Pac.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is seen angrily conferring with his attorneys over the legal document "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gave him last week.

Michael Cole reports that not only is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin here, but he also has his own locker room.

The Rock beats Darren Drozdov. During the match, Hawk inadvertently distracts the referee, allowing The Rock to hit a low blow, which causes a bit of falling out with Road Warrior Animal and Droz.

Michael Cole interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin about the letter he handed to WWF owner Vince McMahon, but says he cannot discuss the letter at this time. He will make an announcement later tonight.

We see footage from earlier tonight of D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) with Motley Crue.

WWF owner Vince McMahon's conference with his attorneys is over. An attorney is overseen saying that Vince "doesn't get it."

Motley Crue perform Wildside for the crowd. D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) is also part of the performance, and a fan is seen being tossed out after dancing on the stage. (The bouncer tossing the fan out is future WWF wrestler Andrew "Test" Martin. It should also be noted that the TitanTron during the concert would also be used for Chris Jericho's TitanTron when he debuts next year.)

WWF owner Vince McMahon is angry that the attorneys cannot break the legal document, and takes that anger out on one of his attorneys.

Kane beats Gangrel. Before the match, it is announced that Kane is part of the Deadly Games Tournament at Survivor Series for the WWF Championship. Christian tires to attack Kane from the top rope after the match, but it has no effect, as do Gangrel and Christian's double team. Edge shows up, but instead of attacking Edge and Christian, he hits Kane with a chop block and attacks Kane alongside Edge and Christian. Kane gets up after all that, then Edge calls Chrisitan and Gangrel to escape with him through the crowd.

Michael Cole has spoken with Shane McMahon, who has told him that the McMahon family will make a statement regarding "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

WAR ZONE

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. He tells Vince that he told the cops that the gun was a toy, and that there would not be any pain involved, and there wasn't. He told Vince that he wouldn't feel a thing...and he didn't. Nevertheless, Vince soiled himself in the center of the ring, and Austin tells Vince that he should believe him when he tells something...but then again, maybe Vince shouldn't. He then pulls a brand-new contract with the World Wrestling Federation out of his back pocket. Not only is he back, but the contract guarantees at least one title shot, which is all he needs. Austin tells Vince he has him "right by those little brass balls of [his]," as the only way he will leave the WWF is if he quits, which he does not see happening any time soon. Vince is wheeled out onto the stage, and says that even if his attorneys cannot do anything, he will find a way to make it happen, even if it means finding a way to make Austin say he quits. Vince then puts Austin in a match tonight, and it will be an "I Quit" match against "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock. Vince says he has no idea how Austin sleeps at night, and asks if he has a conscience whatsoever. Vince says he set an example and sacrificed for 28 years, and Austin turned him into a monster. All of a sudden, Shane McMahon shows up. Vince asks him to come to the ring, but Shane heads to the ring. Shane tells his father he does not listen to him anymore, and that he is an officer - and more importantly, a stockholder - in the company. He says that what Vince did to Austin was wrong, and tells him personally that it was him who hired Austin back. Shane then tells his father Vince that after 28 years, he finally has Vince's attention. He says he has seen Superstars come and go, and it is all because of Vince's ego. All his life, people have asked him what it is like to be Vince's son, and says he has lied year after year to protect Vince and the family name. He is finally tired of all the lying, and says Vince never cared about him as nothing he did was ever good enough for him. All he ever wanted from Vince was to be proud of him, but he has realized that it will never happen as it has always been about Vince and how he made Vince look. He now stands as a man in the ring, not a boy, and is proud of the person he has become. After 28 years, he has finally dredged up the courage to stand up to Vince. Shane says it's ironic, as he is just like Vince after all. Austin then asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if Vince got what he had coming to him. He gets a "hell yeah."

Shane McMahon is seen leaving the arena when "Stone Cold" Steve Austin hands him a beer.

Before the next match, The Godfather tells Tiger Ali Singh there are no hoes tonight as he is not offering him the deal. If Singh wants to mess with his money, he'll show him that "pimpin' ain't easy."

Tiger Ali Singh vs. The Godfather ends in a no-contest after both men disregard referee Tim White. Referees and officials have to separate both men, and The Godfather knocks Singh out of the ring.

Michael Cole interviews Vince McMahon. Vince is dumbfounded by the question, and he is then helped out of the arena.

Kaientai (Dick Togo, Men's Teioh, Sho Funaki, Taka Michinoku) beat The Oddities (Violent J, Shaggy 2 Dope, Golga, Kurrgan) by disqualification after Violent J shoves the referee.

A heartbroken WWF owner Vince McMahon is wheeled out of the arena. Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter tells Vince they will take care of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin before the night is over.

Michael Cole interviews "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, who says this is the only time he will say "I quit." He tellss Austin he has to earn a title shot against him, and that this match is to see who the world's most dangerous man really is.

"Marvelous" Marc Mero beats Goldust by disqualification after Goldust hits him with the kick to the crotch in the corner, which is now coined "Shattered Dreams." This happens after Jacqueline slaps Goldust only to be kissed on the lips. Before the match, it is announced that Sable is on the cover of the newest Raw Magazine, available on newsstands tomorrow, while Jacqueline is the centerfold. During the match, it is announced that WWF owner Vince McMahon and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will fight - in claymation form - on Celebrity Deathmatch this Thursday night at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central. After the match, Sable shows up, and tells Jacqueline that if he's got the time, she's got the place: Survivor Series. Sable goes on to say that at Survivor Series, there will be a new Women's Champion.

Michael Cole interviews Al Snow and Mankind. Mankind calls Al Snow an exceptional wrestler, but Head is the stupidest thing he has ever seen. Snow reminds Mankind he is talking to a sock, but Mankind doesn't care, as he painted Mr. Socko himself. Mankind and Al Snow argue over what one word they have for The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) before they challenge them for the WWF tag team titles: "Socko" or "Head."

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against Al Snow and Mankind after extreme miscommunication between Mankind and Snow. D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry attack The New Age Outlaws after the match until referees restore order. Mankind and Al Snow are then seen tensely trading Head and Mr. Socko to one another.

Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter are seen heading to ringside before the next match, where it is announced that Shamrock is part of the Deadly Games Tournament for the WWF Championship at Survivor Series.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock in an "I Quit" Match.. Near the end of the match, Gerald Brisco grabs at Austin's leg. Referee Tim White confronts Brisco only to be attacked by Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. As Austin fights Brisco, Patterson and Slaughter outside of the ring, Mankind rushes in and puts the Mandible Claw on Shamrock. Austin then gets back in the ring and hits Shamrock in the head with a chair, knocking him out. Referee Tim White gets back in the ring, and Austin grabs Shamrock's arm and taps it on the mat, making it look like Shamrock is tapping out to win the match. After the match, Brisco, Patterson and Slaughter all get in the ring only to eat Stone Cold Stunners.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for October 25, 1998

Christian retains the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship against "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher.

Kevin Kelly interviews The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope), who make their in-ring debut for the WWF tomorrow night. Violent J says tomorrow night is a chance to prove that they know what they're doing in the ring with a combination of what The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Kurrgan, Giant Silva, Golga) taught them along with their own style of Juggalo fighting. He also tells Kaientai (Taka Michinoku, Sho Funaki, Dick Togo, Men's Teioh) that it's time to "die 'n die."

Jeff Jarrett beats Golga after Debra McMichael tosses Golga's Cartman doll to him as he is about to hit Jarrett with a running splash off the ropes.

We see footage from earlier today where Kevin Kelly interviews The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh), who say that they will put their toy tag team titles on the line, as they are fighting champions unlike The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), who refuse to give them a rematch for the tag team titles. They say there is no right way or wrong way, just the Headbanger way.

Before the next match, The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) mock The New Age Outlaws' ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) pre-match promo.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull and 8-Ball) after Skull and 8-Ball's positioon switching tactics fail.

Michael Cole and Jim Cornette interview WWF owner Vince McMahon via telephone. Vince says the public should not be privy to his private corporate affairs when asked about the contents of the letter that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gave him, and that he would rather not discuss it. He also says the fans can go to hell when Jim Cornette tells him that the fans want to know. He then tells Michael Cole and Jim Cornette that they can also go to Hell, and that this television conversation is over.

The Blue Blazer attacks 2 Cold Scorpio and puts him in a Dragon Sleeper before the next match can begin.

Kevin Kelly interviews "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and D'Lo Brown backstage. Shamrock tells Mankind that it ends tonight and that he will take Mr. Socko and shove him so far down Mankind's throat that he will be coughing up Mr. Socko for the rest of his life. D'Lo tells X-Pac that there is no love lost between them and that he is not through with him, and when all is said and done, they will get rid of X-Pac as well as "that damned sock."

Kevin Kelly interviews X-Pac and Mankind backstage. X-Pac says that he never thought he would be teaming with Mankind and "the ranic" Mr. Socko, but "you've gotta do what you've gotta do, y'know?" Mankind responds with Mr. Socko saying he is rancid because he spends most of his time in "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock's tonsils, and that he doesn't understand why X-Pac and D'Lo Brown can't get along as they have so much in common, as X-Pac's belt says "European" and D'Lo Brown "is a peon."

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and D'Lo Brown beat X-Pac and Mankind after Shamrock hits a side suplex for the pinfall despite being in the Mandible Claw. During the match, it is announced that The Rock, The Undertaker and The Big Boss Man are the first three names revealed to be in the Deadly Games Tournament for the WWF Championship at Survivor Series. After the match, Shamrock snaps as soon as he gets up for passing out to the Mandible Claw.

Halloween Havoc 1998 - The Results

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Rick Steiner. Tonight, it is not brother vs. brother, instead, Scott Steiner is just another opponent that Rick is planning to teach a lesson. Suddenly, Buff Bagwell shows up, and says he's as sick of Scott as Rick is, and that nWo Hollywood wins however they can and do not work one-on-one. He asks Rick to let him into his corner so he can watch his back. Rick admits that they have not seen eye to eye on a lot of things, and does not know if he can trust him. Buff tells him that he is done with the nWo, and that he is ready to watch his back in case Scott tries anything. Rick agrees to let Buff be in his corner tonight.

Before the next match, Raven admits he has been on a losing streak, and that it is because of circumstances beyond his control. He went to bed at 11 am this morning, and found out after he woke up that he had his match. Raven refuses to participate in the match due to the match being scheduled at the last moment. Jericho takes the microphone and says that since Raven doesn't want to wrestle, he's not in the mood to wrestle, either. However, the Jerichoholics came to see him wrestle, and that he means increased buy rates and butts in seats. Jericho says he wanted to wrestle a legend such as Raven, the former leader of the Flock. If Raven doesn't want to wrestle him, that's fine, but Jericho says he can whip him in two minutes because Raven doesn't have what it takes anymore. After Jericho calls Raven a loser, Raven runs into the ring.

Chris Jericho retains the WCW World Television Championship against Raven with the Lion Tamer after Raven accidentally whips Jericho into Kanyon and Jericho reverses the Evenflow DDT.

Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up. Bischoff says that the thing that he admires about Hogan most is that he represents the millennium when it comes to family values. Hogan says he can come out and be long-winded if he wants to, but the fact is that the nWo-ites love him, and last week, he took a member of his own family and crucified him in front of the wrestling world simply because Horace Hogan was not nWo-ready and "not willing to sacrifice," just to prove that you have to be worthy to join nWo Hollywood. As he went to get the steel chair, he felt Horace's life in his own hands, and drew the line to prove what it takes to be an nWo-ite, to show the fans where he is coming from, and to prove to The Warrior that he will show him where he is coming from and where is going.

Wrath beats Meng.

Kidman answers questions for an interview for WCW.com. He syas it's hard to prepare for one man, let alone two. However, it may be a easier to win as he will be coming in fresh. He looks forward to defending the Cruiserweight Championship against Juventud Guerrera, but he also has a score to settle with Disco Inferno.

Disco Inferno beats Juventud Guerrera to face Kidman for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship later tonight.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Before the next match, Scott Steiner says he is in the town that never sleeps, and that he has gone with three days and 30 nights with a couple of "freaks." He says he is in town and ready to pound, and tells all the "freaks" out there that he is the hook-up and to "holla if you hear me." He then heard that Buff Bagwell came out earlier to have Rick Steiner's back, and says that he knocked him down in front of his mother and beat up Rick all of his life, so they're a bunch of losers. He then tells Buff that if he wants to make it interesting, then he and Rick can tag team while he tags with The Giant, and that the WCW World Tag Team Championships will be on the line. The Giant, who has shown up at this point, calls Rick "a barking dog that's got no bite" and Buff "a pretty boy that's got no guts." WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon shows up to confirm what Scott just said, and Scott says Rick and Buff cannot beat the largest man in the world and the largest arms in the world. Dillon also asks Scott if he agrees to let Rick have 15 minutes in the ring with him if they lose the tag team titles. Scott says nobody can put the largest back in the world for the mat for a three-count, and agrees to this stipulation, but says Rick will not beat him and The Giant. Dillon makes the match - and the stipulation that Rick finally gets his one-on-one match with Scott, should Scott Steiner and The Giant lose - official. Scott says he and The Giant will beat Rick Steiner and Buff Bagwell "just like that," but Dillon says that remains to be seen.

Alex Wright beats Fit Finley.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller answers questions for an interview for WCW.com. Miller doesn't care what the fans think about him or calling himself "the greatest" and "the real deal."

Saturn beats Lodi.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Kidman retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Disco Inferno.

We see Konnan's music video. (The music video is removed from the WWE Network.)

Rick Steiner - without Buff Bagwell - beats Scott Steiner and The Giant to single-handedly win the WCW World Tag Team Championships. During the match, Scott Steiner tags in Buff Bagwell at Buff's request only for Buff to trick Rick again and kick him in the gut before running off, leaving Rick on his own. Despite the double-cross, Rick Steiner still wins it after he ducks a missile drop kick from the top rope from The Giant, which hits Scott Steiner and gives Rick a fighting chance and the win. As per the recently made pre-match stipulation, Scott Steiner now has to face Rick Steiner in a one-on-one match with a 15-minute time limit. Scott Steinre refuses to do the match and tries to leave with The Giant, but Rick goes after him and has to fight off The Giant in addition to Scott Steiner at the beginning of the match.

Rick Steiner beats Scott Steiner in a one-on-one match. During the match, a man in a Bill Clinton mask and a three-piece suit jumps the guardrail and punches out security, then takes a slapjack from Stevie Ray (who has just arrived) and hits both Rick and referee Charles Robinson. The man then unmasks to reveal that Bagwell is the main in the suit. He then tries to make the three-count with the referee's hand, but Rick still kicks out. After a Frankensteiner from Scott, Rick still kicks out. Buff tosses the ref out and double-team Rick but Rick takes both men out. Rick hits Scott with a Steiner Bulldog, referee Nick Patrick slides in to make the three-count and give Rick the win.

Before the next match, Scott Hall beats up Kevin Nash with a ringside microphone and chokes him out with a camera cable. He then takes the microphone and asks Nash what it's like to see the world through foggy eyes. He then tells Nash, who is then being tended to by the referee and trainer Danny Young to go back to the locker room, because he is through with him. Nash then staggers back into the ring, and Hall continues to strike him.

Scott Hall beats Kevin Nash by count-out after Kevin Nash decides he has had of enough of beating up Scott Hall.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Sting. During the match, Sting accidentally hits referee Billy Silverman with a back elbow, and Bret takes advantage by hitting Silverman in the back of the neck with a leg drop. Sting puts Bret in a superplex, and one of Bret's legs lands on the legs of the referees, leaving all three men in the ring down. Sting goes for a Stinger Splash, and overshoots Bret, hitting his head on the steel post. Bret then goes outside and grabs an aluminum baseball bat, and hits Sting in the back as Sting is hanging off the top rope. He gets Sting back in the ring and drives it into Sting's throat from the top rope before reviving referee Billy Silverman and putting Sting in the Sharpshooter. Silverman is still out on his feet, but he recovers enough to count Sting out during the Sharpshooter. After Bret leaves, Billy Silverman calls for some medical help for Sting. Security has to stop a fan from jumping over the guardrail as a gurney is brought out. Sting is placed on the gurney and helped out of the arena and into an ambulance.

Hollywood Hogan beats The Warrior. During the match, Hogan runs into referee Nick Patrick, then knees him as he is down. Hogan then calls out for support, and gets The Giant. The Giant goes for a big boot, but Warrior ducks and he hits Hogan instead. Stevie Ray and Vincent try to get in the ring, but Warrior takes them down as well. Warrior goes for the pinfall, but referee Nick Patrick is still down. Nevertheless, Warrior is able to revive Nick Patrick before Hogan can get to Warrior. Nick Patrick tries to pull Hogan off of Warrior when Hogan hits Warrior with his own workout belt. Warrior eventually uses the belt against Hogan, and as referee Nick Patrick warns him not to use it, Hogan tries to throw a fireball into The Warrior's face only for the set-up to fail miserably. Hogan eventually hits Warrior with a low blow, and after Hogan hits a leg drop, Horace Hogan shows up with Eric Bischoff following from behind. This distracts Hollywood, who misses the second leg drop. Warrior revives, but Eric Bischoff puts referee Nick Patrick in a headlock so that Horace can hit Hogan in the back of the head with a steel chair, giving Hogan the win. Hogan tosses referee Nick Patrick out of the ring, then tells Horace - who is seen with stitches in his head - that he passed the test. Horace Hogan then squirts lighter fluid on Warrior, and is about to light Warrior on fire when head of WCW security Doug Dellinger stops Hollywood and Horace from setting Warrior on fire with a lighter.

Goldberg retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page. At one point in the match, DDP becomes the first person to reverse the Jackhammer, which Goldberg attempts with a hurt shoulder, landing on his feet and turning it into a Diamond Cutter. After this, DDP attempts another Diamond Cutter, but Goldberg reverses it into a Jackhammer to get the win. After the match, Goldberg raises DDP's hand in a sign of respect, and the show ends. (During the live pay-per-view broadcast, the show cut off for many customers after the bell rang to start the match due to the fact that the event went over three hours. As a result, this match was replayed on Nitro the following night, giving Nitro its final ratings win in the Monday Night Wars and irritating fans who had bought the pay-per-view.)

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 19, 1998

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

It is announced that The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Dean Malenko) are on their way to the arena, and that Eric Bischoff is already here.

Saturn beats Kenny Kaos.

We see footage from outside the arena from earlier today where the fans voiced their opinions on Eric Bischoff being ejected from the building last week.

We see footage of a Nitro Party from R.J. Morgan and his friends from Pearl, Mississippi, the winners of this week's Nitro Party Pack.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

The Latino World Order (Psychosis, Hector Garza, El Dandy, Damien) beat Chavo Guerrero, Jr., La Parka, Ciclope, and Lizmark Jr. after La Parka hits Ciclope and Lizmark Jr. with the steel chair. Eddie Guerrero shows up after the match, and tells Eric Bischoff that they are starting to get stronger, and that La Parka has showed what it takes to be LWO, and hands him an LWO shirt. Chavo Guerrero is still there, but he ends up being ignored by Eddie, and leaves. Eddie tells Bischoff that the LWO is his future whether he likes it or not, and that he will eventually have to pay attention to them. As far as the LWO is concerned, Eric Bischoff can kiss their asses.

Before the next match, Kanyon asks "Who's better than Kanyon?" to which everyone in the crowd responds "Everybody!," much to the chagrin of Kanyon.

Kanyon beats Scott Putski.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Scott Steiner shows up. He says it is cold outside, but he can feel the heat from all the "freaks" staring him down right now. Last night, he got a phone call, so he made his way to Minneapolis with three women who left the next morning satisfied. He then tells the ladies he is their hook-up and to "holla if you were me." He then talks about last week, when Judy Bagwell got in the ring and he knocked Buff Bagwell down for standing up to him, and goes on to say he is the greatest athlete in professional sports today, and he does not care if any Minnesota Vikings are in the arena, as they can come to the ring so he can show them respect. Rick Steiner shows up, says the Minnesota Vikings are undefeated, and that Scott's doing nothing in Minnesota. Rick says he is tired of Scott talking about how good he is, and if they want to get it on, they can get it on right now. Scott leaves the ring and says the crowd doesn't care if he beats them one more time, and that it is not happening tonight. Rick insists on Scott taking him on, and Scott teases getting back into the ring. Scott then says Minnesota and Rick both suck, then asks if it will be a fair fight if he faces him right now. Rick says no, and immediately punches him in the face before immediately beating him up. The brawl ends with Scott getting two low blows on Rick before hitting Scott in the back of the knee with a steel chair. Buff Bagwell runs in and grtabs the chair. Scott commands him to hit Rick with the chair, but Buff swings it at Scott at the last minute. Scott Steiner high-tails it out of the ring.

We see a video package of The Nitro Girls.

We see a special "Trick or Treat For UNICEF" commercial courtesy of TNT and World Championship Wrestling.

We see footage of Goldberg signing autographs on behalf of UNICEF.

Fit Finley beats The British Bulldog. During the match, Bulldog shoves referee Nick Patrick to the other side of the ring knocking him down. Alex Wright shows up, and revives the referee just in time for Finley to hit Bulldog with the Tombstone Piledriver. After the match, Fit Finley beats up Wright.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Chris Jericho, who shows up with a member of "Jericho Personal Security." Jericho says he is livid, as he has beaten Goldberg three times and has received absolutely no acknowledgement from the WCW Executive Committee. He knows that Goldberg is in the building, and calls him out one more time so he can give the Jerichoholics what they want and knock his head off. Okerlund tells Jericho that Goldberg is at a UNICEF function, not at the arena. Jericho says that Diamond Dallas Page should be challenging him for the "Unified World Television Championship," not Goldberg, at Halloween Havoc, and that DDP has not paid his dues and that nobody cares about him. DDP shows up, kicks Jericho's "personal security guard" out of the way, and says Jericho hasn't beaten him. If Jericho wants to run his mouth and wants a piece of him, then he might as well shut his mouth tonight like it should have been shut a long tie agao.

Scott Hall is seen drinking at the bar at the Target Center.

Wrath beats Tokyo Magnum.

We see another message for UNICEF.

We see some footage form earlier tonight where Buff Bagwell shakes hands with Rick Steiner before ripping off the black-and-white nWo shirt.

Before the next match, Super Calo and Silver King bring a surprise for The Dancin' Fools (Disco Inferno and Alex Wright): Dean Malenko and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, who are led to the ring by "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Double-A shakes hands with Silver King and Super Calo, then Eric Bischoff shows up and kicks Mike Tenay off commentary to guest on it for the next match, saying that Malenko and Benoit are in breach of contract by making their own match and will therefore be working tonight for free.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko beat The Dancin' Fools (Disco Inferno and Alex Wright) with a Crippler Crossface to Disco Inferno. After the match, Benoit, Malenko and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson stare down Eric Bischoff from the ring and, Anderson tells Bischoff they are taking WCW back.

Scott Hall is seen at the bar at the Target Center again.

Chris Jericho vs. Diamond Dallas Page end when Goldberg shows up and hits Jericho with a Spear. Diamond Dallas Page stops Goldberg from hitting the Jackhammer, and hits Jericho with a Diamond Cutter before he and Goldberg brawl. Officials, referees and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon have to hold both DDP and Goldberg back.

Scott Hall is seen at the Target Center bar once again.

Rey Mysterio Jr. and Kidman wrestle to a ten-minute time limit draw. Kidman retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Minneapolis, Minnesota Mayor Sharon Sayles Belton. She brings attention to two guests in the crowd tonight; Kirby Puckett and John Randall, who come out to the ring. She then introduces "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows up. Belton then declares today to be "Ric Flair Day" in Minneapolis. Eric Bischoff shows up and says Flair should not be here and starts a shouting match with Sharon Sayles Belton, whom he calls "a mayor with three names who is mayor of the pig farming capital of the world." Kirby Puckett and John Randall confront Bischoff, and a nearby cop threatens Bischoff with jail if he lays one finger on anyone in the arena, reminds him that he is from around here and knows what Minneapolis jails are like, and tells him that he has some unpaid warrants to take care of. Bischoff says he's paid them off, but the cop gives him 20 minutes to leave the arena. Bischoff promises to be back before the show is over, says this is his arena, and that he has an attorney. Bischoff angrily leaves the arena only to find out his car is being towed, and chases after the tow truck.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Before the next match, Scott Norton and Stevie Ray show up wondering where Scott Hall is. Scott Hall shows up far behind them, drunk as ever. When Lex Luger and Konnan show up for the match, Kevin Nash is nowhere to be seen. Just before the match begins, however, Kevin Nash is seen backstage, stumbling around and drunk as Scott Hall while wearing an Outsiders shirt. He eventually makes it to the ring, and Konnan and Lex Luger cannot believe what they are seeing. Hall and Nash toast each other, and Nash is then seen stumbling around the apron and trying to correspond with Hall.

nWo Hollywood (Scott Norton, Scott Hall and Stevie Ray) vs. nWo Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Lex Luger, Konnan) ends in a no-contest. During the match, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are both tagged in, and Nash and Hall have a little bit of fun before Nash reveals that he is not even drunk. Nash beats up Hall, and after Hall hangs upside-down off the middle room for a few seconds, nWo Hollywood leaves.

Hollywood Hogan shows up and kicks ring announcer Michael Buffer out of the ring. Hogan brings out Horace, whom everyone has been saying he will turn on. Horace, formerly of Raven's Flock, shows up, and Hogan asks him to reveal his full name...which is Horace Hogan. Hollywood then says that his brother is Horace's father, and that the same blood that is in Horace runs through his veins. Hollywood then brings out nWo Hollywood, and Hollywood says he has let Horace fight his won battles and he is proud of him. Hollywood says he loves Horace, and every time he sees Horace, he is reminded of his late brother. Hollywood says he usually has people prove themselves to him, and when one is inducted into the nWo, that is as close to being the man as one can get. Since he loves Horace so much, he is willing to give him the shirt off his back. When it comes to blood, sacrifice, and the nWo, Hogan says The Warrior "doesn't get it," and that he will show The Warrior sacrifice. He then suddenly attacks Horace and whips him with his weight belt, and tells Warrior that if he wants sacrifice and that if he is that willing to sacrifice a family member, that there is no telling what he will do at Halloween Havoc. Hollywood then leaves the ring, grabs a steel chair, and dents it into his nephew's head. Hollywood then tells The Warrior that he will rule wrestling and make him beg at Halloween Havoc. Hollywood then topples the gurney that Horace is placed on, then tells The Warrior he will make him crawl and admit he is the man who ran him off and made wrestling. He says that this tie, it is no longer "Mr. Good Guy Hulkamania," and that he hasd better start training, saying his prayers, and eating his vitamins, as The Warrior is his at Halloween Havoc. Suddenly, The Warrior rushes to the ring with a baseball bat, and fights off nWo Hollywood one by one, save for Hogan, who is outside of the ring. Hogan tells The Warrior to put the bat down, and says he will take him down right now. This allows The Giant to attack The Warrior from behind and choke slam him. Hollywood then spray paints "NWO" on Warrior's chest, and says this will be how it ends for him at Halloween Havoc before hitting him with multiple leg drops.

Before the next match, Bret "The Hit Man" Hart says that what Hollywood Hogan just did earlier has inspired him, as he comes out week after week to prove that he is the greatest technical wrestler in the history of the world of wrestling, and week after week, he gets little to no respect from the fans. He also says hello to his cat Smokey, and says he dreams of ways to get even with the fans who do not respect him, and realizes that the best way to do that is to kick the crap out of Sting. He ponders why they should wait until Halloween Havoc when they could do it tonight, saying that Sting tries to kiss up to him in the dressing room and that he stole his Sharpshooter for the Scorpion Death Lock. He calls Sting "the stupidest there was, is and ever will be," and demands that Sting suck it up and finally get in the ring with him. Sting finally shows up and immediately starts fighting Bret, starting their match.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart vs. Sting ends when Sting refuses to let go of the Scorpion Death Lock. Four other referees have to show up to get him to let it go, and Stevie Ray and Vincent show up to attack Sting, which eventually causes him to let go only to beat them up and Bret crawls out of the ring. Bret tries to limp away, but he falls to his knees and Stevie Ray and Vincent have to help him to the back. Sting chases Bret into the back, and the show ends.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 19, 1998

RAW

The show starts with confetti and black balloons coming down from the top of the arena. The entire WWF roster heads down to the ring to await an important announcement. WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter shows up, and WWF owner Vince McMahon is brought out by Slaughter, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, Slaughter, The Big Boss Man and a policeman with a police dog. Vince states that due to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's actions from last night, there is no WWF Champion. On the night of November 15th, Vince guarantees - and emphasizes the word "guarantees" - that there will be an undisputed WWF champion, for on that night, 16 WWF Superstars will participate in a one-night tournament to determine the next WWF Champion. Vince then focuses on the events of last night, saying if he is an asshole, he is damn proud of it. He then confirms that he did publicly fire "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as he promised, and repeats the same words he told Austin: "Screw you! You're fired!" We then see a freeze frame of Austin's face upon realizing that he was fired. He then mentions that Austin was hunting for a job in reference to Austin's "hunting season" phrase, and tells Austin that if he is to step foot in a WWF event again, he will have to buy a ticket first. He then explains what it was like to fire Austin, and admits that after last night, it felt "pretty damn good" to fire him, then it felt great later that night, and in the following morning, "it was better than sex." Vince then tells the WWF roster why they are in the ring: to learn the same lesson that Austin learned last night, and that hopefully nobody else on the roster will cross the boss, as none of them are as big as he is. Vince then says that Austin's merchandise is quickly selling it out, as it is now a collector's item and that "McMahon 3:16" will be the new expression that will sweep the globe. Vince then explains that McMahon 3:16 says "I've got the brass to fire your ass." The image on the TitanTron then changes to a video image of Austin wearing a camoflauge shirt while sitting in the driver's seat of a truck, pulling out an assault rifle and putting a hat on.

WWF owner Vince McMahon, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, The Big Boss Man and the policeman with the police dog head backstage. Vince instructs Big Boss Man to get his family out of the luxury box and out of town, and Vince asks the cameraman to stay in the room so that everything they plan to do will be document. Meanwhile, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen cleaning his assault rifle.

We see footage from earlier today of D-Generation X (Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) with Motely Crue.

X-Pac beats "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock. During the match, two policemen read Chyna her rights, handcuff her and escort her out of the arena. Later on, Mankind shows up and distracts Shamrock, and Shamrock drags Mankind into the ring from the apron. Mankind goes for the Mandible Claw, but Shamrock hits him with the belly-to-belly suplex. Shamrock turns around only to run into an X-Factor from X-Pac. X-Pac then runs to the back after this.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) wish Chyna good luck as she is placed in the back of an unmarked police car backstage. Two cops tell The Outlaws and X-Pac to head to the back, then find "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in his truck. The cops get friendly with Austin, and even have Austin sign autographs for their children. WWF owner Vince McMahon is angry at what has transpired.

WWF owner Vince McMahon tells the policeman with the dog to arrest Austin, but the policeman says "I didn't come here to endanger my life! Screw you!" and leaves. Vince is distraught.

Before the next match, The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) mock The New Age Outlaws' ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) pre-match intro, complete with toy replica tag team titles.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Darren "Puke" Drozdov) after Road Warrior Hawk inadvertently distracts Droz, causing Mosh to grab the tights during the schoolboy pin. Animal and Droz confront Hawk after the match.

Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter have to calm WWF owner Vince McMahon down. Patterson offers to head back to out and get some coffee, as do Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter.

WWF owner Vince McMahon hears a knock on the door backstage. It is Mankind, who brings Vince brings Mankind candy and offers to stay in the room with Vince.

The Undertaker shows up with Paul Bearer, having turned on Kane at Judgment Day. The Undertaker confirms that a reconciliation has been made, and that Paul Bearer has come home to lead his ministry of darkness, and he is sure that there are those who cannot understand because they have no vision as to how he and Bearer could get back together. He says that Paul Bearer has vision and the power and the understanding of the powers of darkness, and allowed him to clear his head and refocus on what he is here for. What he and Bearer have now is the beginning of a new era, and they will unleash with the ministry of darkness a plague from which the WWF has never seen, nor will it have ever understood among those who do not relish in the darkness. Those who do not declare shall be declared. Paul Bearer tells Kane he used him. Ever since he was a child, he took care of him like a pet, and says Kane is stupid, weak, mute and has turned his back on him twice, the first time eight weeks ago and the second time last night. He says Kane does not understand the darkness, and that he will never have a use for him again. The Undertaker tells Kane that he knows there is a thought that has been burning in his mind for years: what happened the day he caught on fire. He tells Kane to listen and to listen close, and tells him he was the one who set the fire and set it because he was as weak a child, and says he is weak now. He says he and Bearer have no room for the weak, only for the strong, as only the strong will survive. Kane shows up, pushing out a huge casket on the way to the stage. Kane then pulls out his voice box, and challenges The Undertaker to a Casket Match tonight, and tells The Undertaker that he will rest in peace. Kane then leaves, leaving the casket on the stage.

Backstage, Mankind brings up the idea of re-hiring "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, on the grounds that he was re-hired and that he came back stronger than ever. WWF owner Vince McMahon hates the idea. Mankind then decides to play soem games backstage.

Mankind plays Twister backstage in an attempt to make WWF owner Vince McMahon happier. Vince angrily tells Mankind to get out of the room, and tells him to get out of his life.

WAR ZONE

Before the next match, Jeff Jarrett is accompanied to the ring by somebody new: Debra McMichael, the former wife of Steve "Mongo" McMichael. (Interestingly, Debra managed Jarrett in World Championship Wrestling before she divorced Mongo and the both of them left the company. Also, Debra is showered by chants of "Show your tits!")

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beats Jeff Jarrett by disqualification after The Blue Blazer shows up and hits Blackman with a belly-to-belly suplex. Jarrett and the Blazer stomp Blackman before staring at each other, then Jarrett pulls out a guitar from outside of the ring as the Blazer leaves. Al Snow and Head get in the ring, but Jarrett sees them coming and hits Al Snow in the head with the guitar.

WWF owner Vince McMahon suddenly gets a phone call backstage. When he picks it up, he finds out the call is from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who tells him his time is up and that he is coming to get him.

WWF owner Vince McMahon calls his limo driver on the phone, and the person on the other end does not see "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Vince believes Austin is in the building. He tells the driver to back the car up and keep the engine running so he can get to the car, and to scream if he sees Austin. Vince then leaves the room and makes his way backstage to the limo entrance, and sees the limo. He makes his way to the limousine...and Austin - armed with a hunting bow - is on the other side of the limo. Austin scares Vince out of his wince and stops him dead in his tracks, and wheels him back into the building. Vince has fun with VInce, pushing him into things and hurting his ankle in the process. He eventually wheels him back into his own private room.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin asks WWF owner Vince McMahon if he has ever hunted before. Vince says he went to a safari, but he has never shot anything. Austin asks if a pocket knife could handle an elephant.

The Rock beats D'Lo Brown. After the match, The Rock fights "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry in the ring, and D'Lo Brown joins in. Referees and officials have to keep D'Lo and Henry away from The Rock.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin continues to torment WWF owner Vince McMahon and hold him hostage with his pocket knife, saying he will take him tonight, and when he goes, he will go quickly.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin torments WWF owner Vince McMahon, this time showing off his hunting bow.

Tiger Ali Singh is in the ring. He says he is known for being a bit of a gorumet in his home country, as he eats only the finest meals and delicacies. In America, however, the people eat the most horrible things, such as canned meat, the rump of a cow and pig's intestines. His manservant Babu is quite a chef, but even he does not wish to prepare these meals as they are so disgusting. Tonight is an exception, however, so he can show just how vulgar American appetites are. He then offers $500 to anyone who is able to swallow Babu's kielbasa whole. Babu picks at a woman standing behind Jim Ross, who gets in the ring, takes the kielbasa and sticks it down her throat in a rather sexual manner. She immediately gets her $500 dollars, then does it again. All of a sudden, The Godfather shows up and introduces Singh and Babu to a pimping custom: once a ho takes on a pimp, she pays that pimp for the rest of her life. He then says that the woman with the kielbasa used to be one of her hoes, and a good one, at that. As The Godfather tries to ge tthe money, Singh says he wanted an amateur, not a professional, but The Godfather says that for $500, she could have had her for the whole night...for less. Singh attacks The Godfather, and Babu ends up getting scoop slammed. Referees and officials have to keep The Godfather and Tiger Ali Singh apart.

We see an arrow from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's arrow shot into a picture on the wall. Austin then makes WWF owner Vince McMahon squeal like a pig like in the one scene from Deliverance.

After the commercial break, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin brings up the movie Misery, and notices the 2x4 between his legs. WWF owner Vince McMahon cries for help, but Austin tapes his mouth shut and tapes him to the wheelchair so he can recreate the scene from Misery involving the sledgehammer and the 2x4. Austin then leaves the room to look for a sledgehammer.

Before the next match, Val Venis says a lot of wrestlers have been to Hollywood, but a few years ago when he auditioned for Anaconda, he told the producers "Take a good look at this snake comin' at ya" and a star was on the rise.

Val Venis beats Mankind. Terri Runnels distracts the referee while "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock hits Mankind in the knee with a steel chair from the outside as Mankind has Venis in the Mandible Claw. After the match, Mankind sends Shamrock into the steel steps and over the guardrail, and both men brawl in the crowd before taking it to the back. After they leave, Goldust shows up on the TitanTron, and tells Venis he will shatter his dreams again and again and again. Terri Runnels then whispers something into Venis' ear, and while Terri is happy, Venis is not.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is still holding WWF owner Vince McMahon. Austin tells Vince he is not here to make him suffer physical pain, and says he has bigger plans than that for him and that he will carry them out tonight. When he is done with Vince, Vince won't feel a thing.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin decides to turn on the television in WWF owner Vince McMahon, and decides to play "You Bet Your Life" with him. He asks Vince to pick either The Undertaker or Kane for the next match. Vince picks Kane. If Kane wins, they will do things the easy way. If there are any other outcomes, they will do things his way.

The Casket Match between The Undertaker and Kane ends with the casket getting ripped apart and The Undertaker following Kane to the back. After the match, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin tells WWF owner Vince McMahon that he just lost, which means that Austin has something he has to do and Vince has to come with him. Vince pleads with Austin not to do what he has in store.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin wheels WWF owner Vince McMahon from his dressing room to the ring. Vince gets in the ring, and is on his knees when Austin mocks him. Austin watches the beginning of tonight's show again on the TitanTron. Austin tells Vince he is pathetic and makes him sick, then asks him a letter that he places in his suit pocket, and that where Vince is going, the devil will be pissed with him. Austin then takes the hunting bow and tells Vince to look up at the TitanTron, as his eyes are fixing to pop out of the front of his head. Austin asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they want to see Vince's eyes pop out form the front of his head, then Austin pulls out a pistol and points it at the side of his head. He pulls the trigger, and a flag saying "BANG 3:16" pops out of the barrel. Austin then tells Vince that he didn't screw Vince and that it was Vince who screwed Vince. Austin then comes up with a new shirt idea: "McMahon 3:16 says I just pissed my pants." We see the trail of urine on Vince's pants, then Austin hits Vince with a Stone Cold Stunner. The show ends with Austin hitting Vince with another Stunner.

After the show goes off the air, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin puts his foot on top of Vince's back and raises his arms in the air twice. Austin then puts up the middle finger on both hands on the stage. WWF owner Vince McMahon is then seen lying in the center of the ring face down and sobbing, and Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner all try to console Vince as they get him back in the wheelchair and wheel him to the back.

In Your House 25: Judgment Day - The Results

Jeff Jarrett shows up before the next match can begin, and tells "Marvelous" Marc Mero and Jacqueline to leave so he can wrestle Al Snow. Instead of leaving, Mero attacks Snow from behind, starting their match. Jarrett then heads back to the back.

Al Snow beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero after reversing a TKO into a Snow Plow.

L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal, Road Warrior Hawk, Darren "Puke" Drozdov) beat The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull, 8-Ball, Paul Ellering). After Animal and Hawk hit the Doomsday Device, Droz gets the pin, much to the chagrin of Hawk, who wanted the pinfall. Hawk is not happy after the match.

Christian beats Taka Michinoku in his debut match to win the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship after reversing a Michinoku Driver into a roll-up. (This victory makes Christian one of a few people in the history of the company to win a championship in their debut match.) Edge is seen in the crowd during the match.

Before the next match, Goldust interrupts Val Venis' pre-match speech, telling him it is showtime.

Goldust beats Val Venis. During the match, Terri Runnels yells at Goldust, saying he ruined her life. Val Venis tries to attack Goldust from behind, but Goldust turns around and ducks it. Venis almost runs into Terri, and as the referee tries to get Terri off the apron, Val Venis turns around and gets kicked in the crotch by Goldust behind the referee's back.

X-Pac shows up and tells "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock that he will be dealt with tomorrow night on Raw for re-injuring "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley's injured knee. Tonight, D'Lo Brown belongs to him, and the European Championship is going around his waist.

X-Pac beats D'Lo Brown to win the WWF European Championship! During the match, D'Lo Brown accidentally runs into referee Mike Chioda and knocks him out of the ring. Shortly after this, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry shows up and tries to sneak up on Chyna, but Chyna turns around and sees him. Meanwhile, D'Lo Brown takes the European Championship and hits X-Pac in the face with it. Henry picks up referee Mike Chioda and revives him for the pinfall, but X-Pac kicks out. Shortly after this, X-Pac is able to hit the X-Factor for the win and the title.

Michael Cole reports that as per WWF.com, Paul Bearer has reportedly been seen entering The Undertaker's locker room. The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) then show up and accuse "Road Dogg" Jesse James of wrecking their boombox with his face, keeping them from listening to their Marilyn Manson CDs backwards. They also tell "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn he sucks, makes fun of his previous "Rockabilly" gimmick and imply that The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg, Billy Gunn) are gay before promising that the Outlaws will be doing "the J-O-B on the P-P-V."

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) attack The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) before they can even do their pre-match intro.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg' Jese James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) after Road Dogg smacks a boombox into the back of Mosh's head. The New Age Outlaws retain the WWF Tag Team Championships.

Michael Cole reports backstage that Paul Bearer is now in Kane's locker room, and meeting with Kane behind closed doors. Mankind showsup with Mr. Socko on his hand, and says "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock may know his holds, but he won't submit to the ankle lock. Mankind then makes it obvious that Shamrock has a Mandible Claw with his name on it.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Mankind when Mankind applies the Mandible Claw to himself. Shamrock snaps and stomps Mankind a few time after the match after hitting the referee with a belly-to-belly suplex, and as Shamrock scares a few more referees and officials away, Mankind gets up, puts Mr. Socko on his hand and applies the Claw to Shamrock. After the match, Mankind throws a few socks into the ring.

Michael Cole is about to interview WWF owner Vince McMahon, but The Big Boss Man shows up and says everything is handled through him before threatening to shove his nightstick up Michael Cole's ass if he and the camera crew do not leave.

Before the next match, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry (who is not accompanied by D'Lo Brown, despite the announcement that he is) dedicates the match to Chyna, who he not only professes his love for, but also wants to have his children with.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry beats "The Rock" Rocky Maivia (now known as just The Rock at this point) after D'Lo Brown provides a distraction. After the splash on The Rock, D'Lo Brown holds down The Rock's feet to keep him from kicking out. (At this point, with D'Lo and Mark Henry having turned on The Rock, The Godfather officially kicked out the group on Sunday Night Heat, Owen Hart kayfabe retired after what happened to Dan "The Beast" Severn, and with the three remaining members of The Nation having their own individual storylines and championship reigns, The Nation is no more.)

The Undertaker vs. Kane ends controversially. Before the match begins, The Undertaker pats Kane on the shoulder and shakes his hand after saying something to him, and special guest referee "Stone Cold" Steve Austin tells both men they can more or less do whatever they want before flipping them off with both hands. During the match, Kane whips The Undertaker into Austin, who is then choke slammed by Kane. Kane and The Undertaker then attack Austin until The Undertaker kicks Kane in the groin from behind. The Undertaker and Kane then fight each other again as Austin is down, then Paul Bearer shows up with a steel chair in his hands. Bearer gets in the ring and tells Kane to let him hit The Undertaker with the steel chair. Kane ignores him, and Paul Bearer hits Kane in the back with the chair to no effect. Kane corners Bearer, and The Undertaker takes the steel chair and hits Kane in the head with it. Austin hits The Undertaker with a Stone Cold Stunner before hitting him in the head with the steel chair, then counts both men out with a three count before declaring himself the winner. He then calls out WWF owner Vince McMahon to come out and fulfill his promise to fire him, but when Vince does not come out, Austin decides he will find Vince himself. Austin heads backstage to look for Vince, and Owen Hart is seen backstage on the telephone as Austin looks around. Austin, unable to find Vince, heads back to the ring and says that Vince isn't here as he escaped the arena and from him. Vince is then heard telling someone to raise a projector screen up. A project screen is raised, revealing the luxury box behind it which contains Vince McMahon and The Big Boss Man. Vince is then seen above the entrance with The Big Boss Man, and something is thrown at him after Vince tells Austin that his services are no longer required, then tells everyone to take a picture of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as everyone is about to see the last of him, and tells Austin "Screw you! You're fired!" Austin asks Vince to repeat himself, which he does. People throw trash at the executive box, and Vince heads towards the wrong as Austin shows his slight surprise to Vince actually having the guts to fire him. He tells Vince that he may never see him step foot in a WWF ring, and that he might as well start hunting season tomorrow, but he can bet his ass that he has not seen the last of him. Austin says he will not cry in the middle of the ring and give him the situation, and asks for his music to be played one last time. Austin's entrance theme is played, and Austin pulls two last cold ones out of a plastic bag before downing them both to the delight of the crowd.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for October 18, 1998

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beats Bradshaw, but is then attacked by The Blue Blazer after the match. He then covers his face with his arms on the way to the back.

We see footage from earlier today of Paul Bearer in catering.

The Oddities (Kurrgan, Giant Silva and Golga) beat Los Boricuas (Miguel Perez, Jesus Castillo, Jose Estrada Jr.). After the match, The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) gang up on The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope), but The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up and beat up The Headbangers. Referees have to break up the brawl as the Outlaws head to the back.

We see more footage from earlier today of Paul Bearer at catering.

Before the next match, The Godfather tells Faarooq that he has known him for a long time and that Faarooq knows he is a pimp. He then says that what Faarooq doesn't know is that Chicago, Illinois has "some of the best hos ever born." He announces that he has hand-picked two hos - both of whom have accompanied him to the ring - especially for Faarooq, and even though they are not his normal type of ho, it is good enough for him. He then gives Faarooq a choice of facing him in the ring knowing The Godfather will kick his ass, or he can pick one of the hos for a small fee. Faarooq gives the two women a look over, then picks the one on the left before hitting The Godfather with a cheap shot to start the match. Suddenly, D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry show up to get a close look at the match.

The Godfather beats Faarooq, then D'Lo Brown and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Mark Henry toss Faarooq into the steel post before attacking The Godfather in the ring. The Rock then shows up and chases D'Lo and Mark Henry to the back.

We see footage from during the break where Faarooq is met by The Jackal, who says something into Faarooq's ear. Faarooq follows The Jackal to the back, speaking to him as he does.

Val Venis guests on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, Michael Cole interviews Paul Bearer, who insists he is here for the food as well as to catch up with other people backstage in addition to enjoying the big show tonight.

2 Cold Scorpio beats Jeff Jarrett. During the match, an usher shows up with a gold package, and hands it to Val Venis from the front row. Venis opens it to find a golden cup, which angers Venis to the point that he heads to the back. Later on in the match, Jarrett pushes Scorpio into referee Jimmy Korderas, sending him out of the ring. Al Snow shows up out of the front row and helps Korderas back up, sticking Head in Korderas' back pocket. This distracts Jarrett, and Scorpio wins with a roll-up as Snow pulls Head out of Korderas' back pocket.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen entering the arena, and Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter take him to the "referee's quarters," which is nothing more than a broom closet.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock shows up, followed by D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac). Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter have entered the ring in the meantime. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen watching from the "referee's quarters" backstage. Sgt. Slaughter orders Chyna and X-Pac, out of the ring and back to the back, which they do. Sgt. Slaughter then introduces Pat Patterson. Patterson tells Shamrock that he reminds him of his younger self when he became the very first Intercontinental Championship, then tells Triple H that since he stole the belt at WrestleMania - actually, at SummerSlam, as Triple H reminds him - he has been nothing but a disgrace to the championship. He also says that Austin is backstage listening to him, and tells him to listen well and make some notes, because later tonight, this is the way WWF owner Vince McMahon wants it and how he will humble himself tonight. Patterson then asks Triple H to hand the Intercontinental title to Shamrock, then takes the microphone away from Patterson and staring him down before handing the title to Shamrock. Triple H then tells Shamrock that he, DX and the whole of Chicago, Illinois have two words for him: suck it.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is seen in a wheelchair backstage. Aside from local law enforcement, Vince is also accompanied by The Big Boss Man, who is in a black ski mask, a black leather jacket, gloves, pants and boots.

Backstage, "The World's Moost Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock finds "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a nearby car and slams the door on his leg, further injuring it. Chyna tries to save Triple H, but she is held back by Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is on the stage with The Big Boss Man and local law enforcement. He tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that tonight, he will crown a new WWF Champion, or he guarantees that he will fire him live on pay-per-view. Vince then says that all he asks for is some understanding from the fans, as they can relate to Austin's predicament and there is no doubt in his mind that each and every one of the fans have done certain favors for a boss, teacher or a dominating family member. He says the vast majority have not only done just that, but also "sucked up" to their superiors. Vince then says a "very large quotient" have not only done both of these things, but also "kissed ass." He then says that is all right and that there is nothing wrong with that, as it is the American way. Vince then says that tonight, he will ask Austin to slightly bend his values, since he will never get a rematch for the WWF Championship. He then tells the fans not to blame him, and tells Austin that if he defies him, it will not be "Vince McMahon screwing Stone Cold, it'll be Stone Cold screwing Stone Cold," and that Austin is no different from the rest of the fans in terms of defying authority, as nobody has the guts to defy him. Vince then says that one way or another, he will be humbled, "because Vince McMahon said so." Austin is then seen destroying the TV in the "referee's quarters" to end the show.

Vince's Got A Shotgun - Shotgun Saturday Night recap for October 17, 1998

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) after Thrasher stops the double top rope splash and Thrasher kicks Matt Hardy in the back during an Irish whip by Mosh. During the match, The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope) show up, being held back by The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva) as they try to confront The Headbangers.

WWF Live will be coming to the Brown County Expo Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Wednesday, October 21st. Fans who come in early get a free Survivor Series Deadly Games temporary tattoo while supplies last. We hear from Goldust, who tells Val Venis that he is the original Goldust and not a sequel, and that Val Venis will receive an Oscar-caliber beating this Wednesday night October 21st, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. We also hear from Mankind, who says that while Kane is a monster, he has no idea what he has gotten himself into, as he has made "no holds barred" into an art form. Mr. Socko says that Mankind will kick Kane's ass on Wednesday night. Also, The Rock will take on Vader, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) will defend the WWF Tag Team Championships against Southern Justice (Mark Canterbury and Dennis Knight), and X-Pac will take on D'Lo Brown for the European Championship.

The Godfather of The Nation beats Bradshaw.

Gangrel is in the ring with Christian. He says he knows Edge is out there, as he can smell his rage, and ever since their bloodlines first embraced, he knew he was something special. He says that this is why he is here with Christian, and that he is here to bring him home. Gangrel tells Edge his real family needs him, and while he can hide behind his anger, he cannot escape his destiny that was set upon him a long time ago. He goes on to say that the WWF is not his world and asks why Edge brought their world here, then promises he will not rest until he has Edge's rage and fury beside him where it belongs.

WWF Bone Crunchin' Buddies - "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, Dude Love, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker - are now available from Jakks Pacific!

The Oddities (Kurrgan and Golga) beat Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and Scott "Too Hot" Taylor) after Golga squashes both men at the same time for the pinfall as Christopher tries to lay down on top of Taylor to protect him.

We hear from The Rock, who says Vader is a never-was, much less a has-been, and he plans to go through Vader on Wednesday night like how Ex-Lax "goes through [his] fat ass mama."

Before the next match, Al Snow grabs a microphone and yells "Attention, K-Mart shoppers! What does everybody want? What does every need?" The fans obviously chant "Head!" to both questions.

Al Snow beats D'Lo Brown with a La Magistral Cradle after both men miss a high flying move from the top rope after the other dodges.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 12, 1998

The show begins with Eric Bischoff asking a security guard to stop "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair from entering the building. When that does not work, he asks arena security to do the same after telling head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger he has screwed it up one too many times.

We see footage from after last week's episode where Sting is tended to and placed on a stretcher following his brawl with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

It is announced that World Championship Wrestling and CapitalOne set up a big event on Wall Street featuring top WCW Superstars to unveil the very first WCW MasterCard. (The video package for this announcement uses "Loaded" by Zack Tempest, which is the same music that The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy) would later use when they join the WWF full-time and eventually become associated with them throughout the years.)

Wrath beats Lodi. After the match, Meng is seen approaching the ring, and Wrath meets him in the aisle for a brawl.

Dale Torborg beats Kendall Windham. During the match, Torborg hurts his knee coming down from a high kick to Windham.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Shane from Black Cat Tattoo in Atlanta, Georgia is the winner of this week's Nitro Party Pack. We see some footage from his Nitro Party.

Sting shows up. Last week, he and Bret "The Hit Man" beat each other into submission in the back, and now he is calling Bret out. He also calls out Hollywood Hogan, telling him he will put him in a black box and send it back to Hollywood, California. All of a sudden, The Warrior shows up, and tells Sting he has to agree with him on how far a little dab of paint will take someone. Far from the beginning and from their beginning, he will leave the history lesson to others, but he has watched his career and has nothing but unconditional respect and tells Sting that WCW is his battleground, not The Warrior's, and that he has intruded to make a one-time request. He says it is fatal to enter any battle without the will to win, and brings up his battle with Hogan at Halloween Havoc. His Warriors give him the will to win one battle at a time, and if Sting is to call out the anti-heroes of our time, then he demands that he stand alongside him to fight.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour. Mike Tenay mentions Sting and The Warrior's brief past history as a tag team known as "The Blade Warriors" before they both moved to different companies and earned significant solo success, leaving them unable to team since.

Hollywood Hogan, Eric Bischoff and The Giant show up. Hogan says the black-and-white can be seen no matter where you look, and that The Giant is taking care of Goldberg and taking back the World title in a no-disqualification match. He has heard what Sting and The Warrior have to say, and he has talked to Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. As they talked, he could not wipe the smile off of his face and it would be a pleasure to take Sting and Warrior and wipe the paint off their faces. He plans to prove that he still rules in the tag team match tonight. As Hogan, Bischoff and The Giant leave, someone tells Bischoff that "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is in the building. He heads outside to see a white limo pull up, and Flair comes out with the rest of The Four Horsemen ("The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Dean Malenko). Bischoff is stopped by Bischoff and the police, but Flair brings out the owner of the arena, Bruce McGardner, who says that The Horsemen are sitting with him in an executive box tonight, much to the aggravation of Bischoff, who says he has a corporate lease. THe owner and The Horsemen are then let into the arena as Bischoff threatens to sue the owner. Bischoff then takes his anger out on head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger and arena security for not doing their jobs.

Before the next match, Alex Wright mocks the fans and says that everyone knows he is the greatest European wrestler after having beaten Norman Smiley, The British Bulldog, and soon, Fit Finley, whom he says ended his father's career. Tonight, he plans to end Fit Finley's.

Alex Wright beats Fit Finley after using the top rope for leverage during the pinfall. As soon as Wright gets out of the ring, he is attacked by The British Bulldog. After Bulldog and Finley knock Alex out of the ring, Finley attacks Bulldog before leaving.

Before the next match, United Center owner Bruce McGardner and The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Dean Malenko) are seen in the executive box with beautiful women.

Super Calo, Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Psychosis beat La Parka, Ciclope and Villano V. During the end of the match, Eddie Guerrero shows up with the Latino World Order. Eddie says that Eric Bischoff does not respect la raza or lucha libre, and dares anybody from the nWo to do what they do. He says that Bischoff has taken advantage of the economical situation at home and brought them to America only to work for peanuts, and that Bischoff does not respect any of them. He then tells Bischoff they are his future whether they like it or not, and they will get their piece of the cake. Psychosis joins the LWO as Chavo leaves.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Scott Steiner shows up. He says that professional wrestlers that go through similar situations always seem to bond together, just like how Rick Steiner jumped on his back to get championships just like how the Chicago Cubs jumped on Sammy Sosa's back in the hope to get back into the World Series. However, he has convinced Sammy Sosa to go to a contender, and that the Chicago Cubs suck. Scott Steiner says there is not a single woman he could not put down horizontally and see nothing but satisfaction in their eyes, and tells all the "freaks" that "Big Poppa Pump" is their hook-up and to holler if they hear him. Last week, however, he had a woman show up unwanted and uninvited to embarrass Buff Bagwell, and that he convinced Buff that when Buff is in his world, he is the stuff, and that he has convinced his mother to stay at home and out of nWo business. He says there will be no fireworks tonight, as Buff knows the kind of athlete he is and that he and Buff are close friends. Buff Bugwell shows up with mother Judy Bagwell, and Buff Bagwell tells Scott Steiner that they have not worked anything and that they have a problem. Scott tells him the only problem he sees is that Buff has a hurt neck and that he can break it instantly. Buff says he has listened to her mother, and that she was right: everything has gone too far and that it is all Scott's fault. Scott says "Mommy's boy is getting a little soft," and entertains the idea of ripping the black-and-white nWo shirt off his back. Buff then says it is really clear, and says that they should probably go one-on-one right now. Scott Steiner calls Judy Bagwell "an old bag," and tells him that if she gets in his way, there will be problems, and she has problems. Scott says he should have slapped Judy last week, and says he wants her out before he puts her out. Buff clocks Scott, but Scott hits Buff with a low blow before dropping him throat first on the top rope. Scott then says that anyone who stands up to him is going down, as he is nWo for life. The show goes to break as Scott Steiner dares anyone to get in the ring with him.

United Center owner Bruce McGardner and The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Dean Malenko) are seen in the executive box with beautiful women again.

Before the next match, Disco Inferno tells Prince Iaukea and Juventud Guerrera that nobody came to see him wrestle and that everyone paid to see him dance. Disco Inferno then gets on the apron and is about to dance to his entrance music when Prince Iaukea knocks him off the apron and into the guardrail. Shortly after the match begins, Kidman shows up, grabs a steel chair and chases Disco Inferno to the back with it.

Juventud Guerrera beats Prince Iaukea. During the match, Disco Inferno shows up again and gets on the apron, distracting Prince Iaukea, who punches him in the face only for Juventud to pin him with a schoolboy pin. After the match, Kidman shows up again, gets his hands on Disco Inferno, and punches Disco all over the arena.

Kevin Nash shows up. He says he has been sitting backstage for a couple of hours now, and he has seen Scott Hall stagger around like he usually does. He then says it takes a lot to get him upset, but Hall has touched his last nerve. Before he wrestled, he was a bouncer, and if there is something he does very well, it is beating up drunks. He tells Scott Hall to come out, because it is last call. Scott Hall shows up with a drink in one hand and a microphone in the other, and tells Nash to make it a double and six to go. He then puts the drink down and tells Nash that if he wants to fight, he will fight him, but he will fight him "down here." Nash gets out of the ring and chases him to the back. Nash then tries to find him in the back, and a cameraman eventually follows Nash outside, where Hall is leaving the building via a limousine. Nash gets in a Cadillac and follows Hall's limo.

Chris Jericho retains the WCW World Television Championship against Raven.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Rick Steiner. Rick says he didn't push too far to get his match against Scott Steiner, saying Steiner has brought everything on himself. The wicked laughter is heard one more time, and this time, we see the source: horror movie icon and the most recognizable star of the Child's Play series, Chucky. He asks who Okerlund is calling a dummy, as he is standing with "a genetic throwback who barks at the moon." He then tells Okerlund to "shut the hell up," and says he is here to talk to Rick, who tells him to come to the ring. Chucky tells Rick he's been playing his dolls all his life, but he's not his type and that he needs a kinder, gentler, dumber doll as he can show him real body mutilation and have the dogs chew on him like some old shoe. He then tells everyone to see his new movie Bride of Chucky on October 16th, and tells Rick not to mess with Scott, as he is the lead in his next project. If Rick messes with Scott, he messes with him and his Academy Award and he will get more than lucky...he will get even. (This guest appearance by Chucky is booed by the crowd after it becomes apparent that his appearance is solely to promote his new movie.)

This Tuesday on QVC: World Championship Wrestling premieres on QVC Sports at 8 PM Eastern, 5 PM Pacific.

Eric Bischoff shows up. He insists that the arena is his tonight, and he does not want "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, regardless of whether or not he is friends with United Center owner Bruce McGardner. He then calls out head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon, who both show up. Bischoff says he will teach Dillon a management lesson tonight, and commands Dellinger to head up to the executive box and get rid of Flair. Bischoff, Dellinger and Dillon head towards the executive box through the crowd. A camera crew eventually catches up with them, and Bischoff finally gets the attention of McGardner, who tells him that this is a private party that has nothing to do with his event. When Bischoff puts his hands on McGardner, security quickly gets their hands on Bischoff and pin him to the floor. Dellinger is seen smiling as Bischoff is pinned down, and Flair heads into the hallway and demands Bischoff be tossed out before Bischoff is carried out of the building to the delight of many cheering fans. Ric Flair is then seen dancing around outside of the box, and McGardner raises up the four fingers on both hands. After the commentary team has a good laugh, the camera crew catches up with security, who then put a power-mad Bischoff in the back of an unmarked police car.

Goldberg beats The Giant by count-out in a no-disqualification match. Stevie Ray hits Goldberg with a chair, which has no effect. The Giant then choke slams Goldberg, but Diamond Dallas Page shows up, breaks up the pinfall and hits Stevie Ray with a Diamond Cutter only to be nearly choke slammed by The Giant. Goldberg hits The Giant with a Spear before he can do it, and Stevie Ray and The Giant flee before DDP heads to the back. Goldberg then tells Page "At Halloween Havoc, your ass is mine!"

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Sting and The Warrior beat Hollywood Hogan and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart by disqualification. During the match, nWo Hollywood shows up and attack The Warrior, then smoke begins to fill up the ring as The Warrior is tossed out of the ring. Sting gets in the ring with the baseball and clears the ring out, while The Warrior attacks Hogan and nWo Hollywood with his own belt outside of the ring as he chases them to the back as the show ends.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 12, 1998

RAW

We see footage from earlier tonight, where WWF owner Vince McMahon makes his way into the arena in a brand new Chevrolet Corvette instead of a limousine. Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter are seen waiting for him. Vince is then helped from his sports car to a wheelchair, and demands the garage door be left open for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to give him free access to the arena, implying that Vince McMahon has somewhat invited .

Before the next match, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn announces that he is still part of D-Generation X ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Chyna, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, Billy Gunn). Also L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Road Warrior Hawk) shows up, with Darren "Puke" Drozdov as an official member. Road Warrior Hawk guests on commentary, and says he is healthy and sober. Hawk then says he got hooked on pain pills due to injuries racked up over the years, and that his dependence went too far. He is now considered an alternate member until he is healthier and able to re-establish himself. Suddenly, The Disciples of Apocalypse (Skull, 8-Ball, Chainz) show up and attack Hawk, while The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) attack "Road Dogg" Jesse James with a boombox to the forehead, which busts Road Dogg open.

It is announced that due to a fit of anger in the office by WWF owner Vince McMahon last Friday, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley has been stripped of the WWF Intercontinental Championship and that there will be a one-night tournament to crown a new Intercontinental Champion. (In reality, he has been stripped of the title due to a legitimate knee injury.)

WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco notice Kane coming to the ring alone. (This time around, Kane is wearing something similar to what he was worn on his way to the building in the past, but he is now wearing his wrestling mask instead of a ski mask.)

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman with an ankle lock to go to the next round of the Intercontinental Championship tournament. After the match, Blackman is attacked by a masked man in blue, whom Jim Ross almost immediately identifies as "The Blue Blazer." ("The Blue Blazer" was a masked gimmick that Owen Hart used during his first run in the WWF back in the late 1980s.) After The Blue Blazer runs to the back, Shamrock snaps and puts Blackman in the ankle lock again. He eventually lets go and sends two referees running out of the ring.

The Undertaker is seen walking through the garage door entrance in street clothes, and is spotted doing so by WWF owner Vince McMahon and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter.

Terri Runnels is seen backstage with Val Venis. We then see a video package of Goldust.

Before the next match, Val Venis says "The Big Valbowski" is a lot like a clock, because if you stick two hands and a face on it, he'll show you exactly what time it is. When Jacqueline shows up with "Marvelous" Marc Mero, she is seen wearing Sable's hair as part of her ponytail.

Val Venis beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero with a Fisherman's suplex to continue to the next round of the Intercontinental Championship as Jacqueline distracts the referee only for Terri Runnels to distract Mero. During the match, it is announced that someone has showed up in the arena and has caused quite a stir, and that the person in question will not be mentioned until after the match. After the match, Jacqueline attacks Terri Runnels, and both women have to be pulled apart by Mero, Venis, referees and officials.

It is announced that Paul Bearer is the person who has made a stir backstage. Bearer has not been seen in some time and is seen carrying a briefcase. WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Briscoe, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter are witnessed being confused about his appearance, with Vince angrily asking what Bearer is doing at the arena.

Michael Cole interviews Sable...or tries to. Sable walks away and immediately finds Jacqueline utilizing her own dressing room, and drags her to the ring. Referees and officials have to pull them apart as soon as Sable attacks her in the tech area near the stage. "Marvelous" Marc Mero shows up to get Jacqueline out of there.

Before the next match, we see footage of Michael Cole interviewing Mankind in a boiler room from earlier today. Mankind says "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock has the weakest chair shot he has ever, and is therefore not concerned about facing him at Judgment Day. If Shamrock isn't happy with that, he has one word for him: Socko.

Before the next match, we see footage of "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry's poem professing his love for Chyna from last weekend's Superstars. After the match begins, it is not long before Chyna shows up and watches the match from ringside.

Mankind beats "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry with the Mandible Claw. Unlike past matches, this is the first use of Mr. Socko - who comes straight from Mankind's left foot - during the move. After the match, Chyna gets in the ring and confronts Mark Henry, and Chyna asks Mark Henry why he is filing a lawsuit. Mark Henry tells her "It's out of my hands."

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin finally shows up...in a cement truck.

Michael Cole interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who tells Michael Cole to tell WWF owner Vince McMahon to come out to the arena entrance as what he is about to do will create a little bit of interest in the McMahons' side of the family. Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter are seen reacting to Austin's arrival, and Slaughter trips on the footstool and into Vince's broken leg.

WAR ZONE

X-Pac beats Jeff Jarrett to continue to the next round of the Intercontinental Championship tournament. During the match, X-Pac inadvertently knees referee Mike Chioda in the face, knocking him down before the Bronco Buster. Jarrett kicks X-Pac in the groin to counter the Bronco Buster, then looks underneath the ring and finds his guitar case. When he opens it up, instead of pulling out a guitar, he pulls out Head. This catches Jarrett off guard, and X-Pac gets the schoolboy pin for the win. Al Snow then immediately shows up, grabs Head, and leaves through the crowd.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen parking the cement truck in front of WWF owner Vince McMahon's Chevrolet Corvette...and dumping cement down the open roof, busting out all the glass and ruining the car. Austin then leaves the cement truck and heads to the ring.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin heads to the ring. He thanks WWF owner Vince McMahon for the open invitation for tonight, and apologizes as the invite was mistakenly sent to "The Austin 3:16 Construction Company." He tells Vince that when he screwed him, he sealed his fate, and that as long as they are both in the WWF, he will make his life a living hell. As for Judgment Day, he has no problems putting on the striped shirt as he would make a good referee, and asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they agree. After The Undertaker and Kane beat the hell out of each other, the only hand he will raise is his own, and there is nothing Vince can do about it. Vince McMahon shows up in his electric wheelchair, and as Austin goes up the ramp to approach him, a bodyguard clad in all black show up behind Vince. Two K-9 cops also are also brought up, but Austin is not scared of the dogs even though he keeps his distance. Vince asks Austin what gives him the right to pour cement in his Chevrolet Corvette, as it was part of a collection and he ruined it. He then puts Austin in a match tonight, where he will team with "The Rock" Rocky Maivia to go up against The Undertaker and Kane. He also tells Austin to have eyes in the back of his head. Vince then admits his life has been a living hell for the past two weeks, and yells at the fans for calling him an asshole. Vince then blames Austin for all the bad luck that has befallen him for the last two weeks, and says he may never take part in athletic event again. He says his head is still ringing from being hit in the head from a bedpan, still in nervous shock from the defibrillation and says he violated him from sticking an IV tube in his rectum. He promises Austin will suffer more humiliation than he has, and if Austin does not raise the hand of a new WWF Champion and humble himself before him, he guarantees that Austin will be fired on the spot. Austin tells Vince he doesn't have the balls to fire him, but Vince says he has "balls the size of grapefruits" and that Austin will be picking the seeds out of his teeth when he is humbled.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock attacks Val Venis as he makes his way to the ring for the next match.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Val Venis with an ankle lock to continue to the finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament. After the match, Dustin Runnels shows up as Goldust for the first time in five months, this time in a more extravagant entrance gown than ever before. He takes it off and crawls towards Venis before attacking him and hitting him with a new move: hanging Val Venis' legs on the second rope and kicking him in the crotch.

We see the remnants of WWF owner Vince McMahon's ruined Chevrolet Corvette. Mankind offers to help him get the keys and his briefcase about it.

Michael Cole interviews "The Rock" Rocky Maivia, who says he fears no man and that he has beaten both The Undertaker and Kane in the middle of the ring to become #1 contender for the WWF Championship. The only problem he has right now is being "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's tag team partner as he would rather slap the taste right out of Austin's mouth. D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry confront The Rock for tagging with Austin, but The Rock tells them to know their roles and shut their mouths and that they will go outside and talk about it right now.

X-Pac beats Mankind to continue to the finals of the Intercontinental Championship tournament and face "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock. During the match, Mankind introduces a steel chair to the ring, but tosses it out when ordered to by referee Mike Chioda. Later on, Shamrock shows up, takes the chair and smashes it into Mankind's ankle after Mankind rolls X-Pac back into the ring, allowing X-Pac yet another win with a schoolboy pin. After the match, Shamrock attacks X-Pac and fights Mankind again when Mankind tries to help X-Pac. Shamrock then puts X-Pac in some body scissors as referees and officials try to break it apart. Shamrock scares them off as Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter tells Mankind that WWF owner Vince McMahon needs him in the back.

X-Pac is seen being attacked by "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock before the next match. X-Pac still insists on continuing the match as "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley is seen in X-Pac's corner. Triple H then guests on commentary for the match, singing X-Pac's praises for wrestling for months with a broken neck. Triple H also calls out WWF owner Vince McMahon for not calling him about being stripped of the Intercontinental Championship before tonight, while he was still rehabbing his knee in Birmingham, Alabama.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats X-Pac with the ankle lock to win the vacant WWF Intercontinental Championship! After the match, Mankind shows up with a steel chair and keeps him from attacking X-Pac further, and "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helsley checks on X-Pac.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin and "The Rock" Rocky Maivia vs. The Undertaker and Kane ends in a no-contest. During the match, Paul Bearer shows up and watches the match from ringside, and D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry show up later to do the same, but near the end, D'Lo Brown slams The Rock on the floor outside the ring and Mark Henry hits him with a body slam before the two of them leave. After this, Austin is tied up on the ropes, but he frees himself and fights back. After this, McMahon's security guard show up and strikes Austin in the back of the head with a nightstick, then unmasks. The security guard is none other than The Big Boss Man, who has not been seen in the WWF since 1993. The Undertaker and Kane continue to attack Austin as The Big Boss Man watches. All the while, WWF owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and (later) WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter watch from the stage as the show ends.

After the show goes off the air, The Big Boss Man then chokes out "Stone Cold" Steve Austin with his nightstick as The Undertaker and Kane leave. Boss Man then tells Austin he is not so tough after all, and that he is enforcing WWF owner Vince McMahon's law and that he will abide by it. Vince is then wheeled to the ring, and Vince tells Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco to "put the boots to him." Brisco and Patterson then mockingly slap at Austin before punching him in the corner. Referee Earl Hebrner then pulls Brisco away, allowing Austin to hit Brisco and Patterson with Stone Cold Stunners before "The Rock" Rocky Maivia gets back in the ring and hits Brisco and Patterson with a double People's Elbow. Austin then confronts and beats up WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, and Vince tries to escape only to find out his wheelchair cannot go up the ramp. Austin then topples the wheelchair backwards and stomps Vince a few times before heading back to the back and leaving the crowd happy. Slaughter, Brisco and Patterson then bumble around as they help Vince back in the wheelchair, and they end up carrying Vince all the way back to the back without putting him in it. Vince almost tears up a fan's sign, but the fan gets it away from McMahon and company before they can grab it.
