Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 31, 2016

Dixie Carter is seen talking to someone at the beginning of the show...and Dixie is giving that person the show for tonight!

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis show up. He knows that Dixie has put someone in charge, and that he knows it's not the either of them. Maria says that if anyone should be in charge, it should be her. Bennett then calls out whoever is in charge...and it's Ethan Carter III. EC3 tells Bennett that the rematch between them is on for Slammiversary, and gives him the night off so he can have him at 100%...but he's not off the hook yet. EC3 makes Bennett the janitor for tonight as the head of the custodial department pushes a mop bucket to the top of the entrance ramp, and when Maria complains, EC3 announces that she's getting a job evaluation, and if she doesn't pass, she's fired. When EC3 tells them to get out of the ring, Bennett refuses. EC3 threatens to kick Bennett's ass, and Bennett says he's only leaving because he wants to leave. He kicks the mop bucket as he and Maria leave. Lashley then shows up, and wants to fight EC3. But EC3 reminds Lashley that Drew Galloway will be picking his opponent for him. Drew Galloway then makes an appearance.

Ethan Carter III and Maria are in the ring, and Allie and Sienna are told to leave the ring for the job evaluation. EC3 brings out Gail Kim for the evaluation, and Gail Kim makes it clear that she wants a match with Maria at Slammiversary. Maria refuses, saying she is the leader of the Knockouts division, and EC3 tells Maria she is only a leader in theory and makes the match official. Maria then has no choice but to tell that at Slammiversary, she will kick Gail's ass. EC3 then puts Sienna and Allie in a tag team match right now against Gail Kim...and Jade.

Gail Kim and Jade beat Sienna and Allie.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett beats "The Cowboy" James Storm after Maria distracts and slaps Storm. After the match, Ethan Carter III tells Bennett he will beat him at Slammiversary, then leaves Bennett with a Last Call superkcik to the face from Storm.

Al Snow is in the ring. He says he is making wrestling great again, and has some new recruits from London, who he introduces as "his tribunal." Basilie Baraka (formerly Sylvester LeFort) amd Judge Baron Dax (formerly Marcus Louis). They call themselves judge, jury and executioner and will take down anyone in their way, and that they now do it for Al Snow as The Tribunal. Snow says he needed only one wrestling move - the Snow Plow - to beat Grado last week. Grado shows up and says he's lying, saying he needed The Tribunal and weapons to beat him, but Al Snow says the video is doctored, and also makes "your mom" jokes towards him and Mahabali Shera. Shera and Grado brawl with The Tribunal, and Al Snow hits Grado in the back with a chair before doing the same to Shera, allowing The Tribunal to come out on top in this brawl.

My predictions for Extreme Rules 2016

Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin

in a no-disqualification match

Yeah, this match again.

My prediction: Baron Corbin will win again.

Roman Reigns (c) vs. AJ Styles

in an Extreme Rules match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

After two restarts due to pretty anti-climactic wins from AJ Styles that lead to Roman Reigns retaining the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Shane and Stephanie have decided to make it so that there is a rematch...and that there must be a winner. How better to do this than an Extreme Rules match with no count-outs and no disqualifications?

My prediction: Roman Reigns is going to retain, I can just smell it.

The New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods) (c)
vs.
The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch)

for the WWE Tag Team Championships

After beating Enzo Amore and Big Cass via ref stoppage due to Enzo accidentally getting injured, The Vaudevillains plan to turn the clock back to 1899 with a tag team title win. They've done it in NXT, but can they do it here and cap off an impressive start to a main roster career?

My prediction: The Vaudevillains will probably take the titles.

Charlotte (c) vs. Natalya

in a Submission Match for the WWE Women's Championship in which Ric Flair is banned from ringside

It's the Figure Eight vs. The Sharpshooter in this submission rematch...and Ric Flair isn't allowed at ringside this time around or else Charlotte forfeits the Women's title to Natalya!

My prediction: Natalya is taking the Women's title.

Kalisto (c) vs. Rusev

for the WWE United States Championship

Now that Rusev is #1 contender for the United States title, Kalisto has an even more dangerous opponent that Ryback. Can Rusev take the title back?

My prediction: Rusev is taking the title.

The Miz (c) vs. Kevin Owens vs. Cesaro vs. Sami Zayn

in a Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

It's finally come down to this. Kevin Owens wants the Intercontinental title back around his waist, Sami Zayn is still getting back at Owens (and Owens still can't stand his guts) and Cesaro is back from injury. Now Miz has three guys to defend the Intercontinental title against three guys. Can he retain, or will the title be in new hands?

My prediction: Miz will retain.

Dean Ambrose vs. Chris Jericho

in an Asylum Match

After Jericho put Ambrose in a straightjacket, it finally became personal. Now Ambrose plans to put Jericho through the same hell that Jericho put him through. Can he do it?

My prediction: Ambrose will win this one.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso)
vs.
The Club (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson)

in a Tag Team Tornado Match

We all knew this was coming. Why WWE took this long to announce the match, stipulation and all, is beyond me. Seriously, this last-minute match addition crap needs to stop.

My prediction: The Club's taking this one.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for May 19, 2016

Rusev says he will take the United States title back at Extreme Rules, and everyone will say "Mashka, Mashka" instead of "Lucha, Lucha" after he's done with him.

Baron Corbin is Golden Corral's Sizzling Superstar of the night.

Dolph Ziggler beats Sheamus. Baron Corbin shows up after the match, and tells Dolph that he will hurt him at Extreme Rules, and that no disqualifications means that nobody will be able to do anything to stop it.

Chris Jericho shows up. Above the ring is the Ambrose Asylum. He says that Dean Ambrose only thinks he has him where he wants him, because he's been in all sorts of matches in the WWE. He says that he is smarter and crazier than Dean Ambrose, and that he is a lunatic after all he's done to Ambrose as of late. Jericho then talks about how many days he could keep Ambrose n the hospital with all the weapons at the top of the Asylum as the cage comes down, and comes to the conclusion that Ambrose will be in the hospital for 40 days once he's done with him. Meanwhile, one of the workers handling the cage gets in the cage...and the worker is revealed to be Dean Ambrose, who attacks Jericho before climbing up the cage wall and grabbing a kendo stick. After a few strikes, Jericho flees through the cage door.
