Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for May 24, 2016

Matt Hardy, now with his hair brushed back in a complete mess and with one part of it dyed bleached blonde, shows up to start tonight's show. He starts speaking differently as he says he has become much more dangerous than before and that he will face Ethan Carter III tonight. He says that he must "delete Brother Nero" and also announces that he has a contract for a Full Metal Mayhem match at Slammiversary against his brother Jeff Hardy. As he says that signing the contract is like signing Jeff's death certificate, Rockstar Spud and Tyrus show up. Spud says he's dedicated himself to Matt and his family, but says if Matt continues to fight his brother, there's no telling where Matt will end up and that this will all get worse. Tyrus feels the same way. Matt then decides to have a handicap Contract Ladder match between Jeff Hardy and the team of Spud and Tyrus. If Spud and Tyrus win, Matt won't have the Full Metal Mayhem match. If Jeff wins, the Full Metal Mayhem match is still on, and Spud and Tyrus can no longer associate with Matt Hardy.

Ethan Carter III beats Matt Hardy by disqualification after "The Miracle" Mike Bennett attacks EC3 from behind. After the match, Bennett tells EC3 that his road to redemption has come to an end due to his failure to win by pinfall or submission, and therefore he will not get his rematch at Slammiversary.

"The Miracle" Mike Bennett said that hwhat happened in the ring earlier was art when he crushed Ethan Carter III's dreams and blames EC3's loss on EC3 when Bennett himself put an end to the "road to redemption."

Allie is in the ring, and she introduces Maria Kanellis. Maria says her vision of the Knockouts Division must spread, and that Velvet Sky is fired as she is part of the "Knockouts Past/" After she says she is building a brighter future, Gail Kim shows up and says that she is fed up with Maria, but Maria doesn't really seem to care. Gail Kim says she'll kick Maria's ass, but Maria says what happened to Velvet Sky will happen to her, as Maria and Gail can't touch each other. Gail says they can if they have a match. Maria then makes a match, and if Gail wins, she stays. If she loses, she's fired. Gail's opponent? Sienna.

Mahabali Shera thanks Grado for being his friend, but Grado says he should be doing the thanking. Now Grado has a street fight against Al Snow to win, and he's got big plans...

The Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz) have a weird phone call where they're right next to each other. Robbie E tells Jessie that he's gotten in touch with a "guru" to get them on track.

Gail Kim says she won't lose to Maria Kanellis easily.

Before the next match, Al Snow says that Grado couldn't get any dumber, yet here they are having a Street Fight. When he asks the crowd if they want weapons, he responds to their cheers for wepaons by saying they won't get them. He insults Grado again, then hides between the video screen. When Grado shows up, Al Snow attacks him from behind, starting the match.

Al Snow beats Grado in a street fight thanks to the interference of...Sylvester LeFort and Marcus Louis, fresh out of NXT and the former with a bald head.

Even Reby Sky is worried about how obsessed Matt Hardy is with "deleting" Jeff Hardy...

Jeremy Borash is in the ring talking about what has happened between Lashley and Drew Galloway when Lashley shows up and tells him to get out. He wants his shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship after what happened with last week's lumberjack match and saying that he's the only legitimate fighter in TNA. Drew Galloway shows up and says Lashley is afraid of him due to his resiliency. Lashley says he still could have beaten Galloway that night. Galloway says he's an impatient match and wants to go right now, but Dixie Carter shows up and puts a stop to that. She is tired of the constant brawling, and says they will face each other at Slammiversary...and the only way to win is by knockout or tap out. After Dixie leaves, Drew tires to do the same, but Lashley calls him "a little bitch" for walking away. Drew charges at Lashley and hits the Claymore, then fights off security. Lashley then comes back and hits Galloway with a Spear, and officials and security have to stop the brawl, which proves impossible given the strength of both men. Lashley then tries to choke Galloway out.

Trevor Lee retains the TNA X Division Championship in an Ultimate X match against Eddie Edwards, DJ Z and Andrew Everett after Shane Helms grabs the ref to distract him so that Trevor Lee can snatch the title from Eddie Edwards and cheat him out of the title victory when he grabs it. The ref turns around to see Trevor Lee with the title, allowing him to retain.

Maria Kanellis tells Sienna that she has a job to do. Sienna says that Gail Kim has been face of the Knockouts for far too long, and that she will rip out her heart. Maria says she chose Sienna because she's bigger and stronger.

Ethan Carter III tells "The Miracle" Mike Bennett he is no stranger to rigged games, and that he has a phone call to make that will change everything. When he is done with Mike Bennett, Bennett won't have a life, much less a life's work.

Gail Kim beats Sienna after reversing a powerbomb into a sunset flip. Sienna and Maria attack Gail Kim after the match.

Rockstar Spud and Tyrus take stock of their situation backstage. Reby Sky shows up and tells them to do it for her, as even she is tired of Matt Hardy's obsession with "deleting" Jeff Hardy from TNA.

The Bro Mans (Robbie E and Jessie Godderz) find out that the "guru" is Raquel...and she puts them through the ringer.

Next week: Lashley picks an opponent for Drew Galloway! Drew Galloway picks an opponent for Lashley! It's Pick Your Poison next week on Impact Wrestling!

Jeff Hardy beats the team of Rockstar Spud and Tyrus in a Handicap Contract Ladder Match. The match between Jeff and Matt Hardy at Slammiversary is still on, and Tyrus and Rockstar Spud can no longer associate with Matt Hardy.
