Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 24, 2019

Seth Rollins shows up to start tonight's show. Rollins says Baron Corbin thought he would take the WWE Universal Championship from him. Suddenly, Becky Lynch shows up. Rollins gives Corbin some credit for knowing he could not wrestle him and finding a referee that he couldn't hit with a steel chair who would also do everything in her power to help him win, but says Corbin wasn't smart enough to know he had the best back-up on the planet. Becky says it might pay to be "The Man's man" and that they proved individually why they are the champions of their divisions. She says Lacey Evans had all that talk, but had nothing when it came time to fight, and tried to steal a title for someone else. When that happened, she had to slap Lacey Evans' empty head off of her shoulders once again. Baron Corbin's entrance them hits, but Becky is attacked from behind by Lacey Evans. Becky quickly gets the upper hand. Rollins tries to break it up, but when Becky shoves him, he lets them go at it before Corbin shows up. Rollins and Becky quickly send Corbin and Lacey packing. Corbin tells Rollins to put the Universal Championship around Becky's waist and make a sandwich for Becky at home, since she is handling all his business. Lacey tells Becky to get Rollins out before she lays her hands on him again. Corbin then says he would be Universal Champion if it weren't for Becky, and says he picked Lacey because she is "the only real woman around here" before proposing a mixed tag team match any time, anywhere. Lacey proposes they have the match at Extreme Rules, which Becky accepts under the condition that if Corbin and Lacey lose, they cannot face Rollins and Becky in the ring again, respectively. Corbin and Lacey talk it over, then accept the stipulation and raise them one. Rollins accepts the challenge unhesitatingly, and Corbin says that both the Universal and Women's Championships will be on the line, making it a "winner takes all" match.

Before the next match, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) make fun of The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder), "The New" Daniel Bryan and Rowan.

The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) and The New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) beat "The New" Daniel Bryan, Rowan and The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) in an eight-man tag team elimination match after Dash Wilder is used as the springboard for a top rope Uso splash following a superplex from Dawson.

Miz says he has made it so that 24/7 title rules will be suspended during the interview. Miz lists the weirdest places where the WWE 24/7 Championship has changed hands, culminating with the situation at Drake Maverick's wedding last Friday, of which footage is shown. R-Truth says the championship is not a joke, and says he has not been able to eat, drink or be merry since he has had it, even so far as having WWE Superstars showing up to his house, sometimes in disguise. Carmella says that while disrupting Drake Maverick was a bit extreme, the 24/7 Championship is important to R-Truth. Suddenly, Drake Maverick shows up, saying that R-Truth ruined both his championship accolade and his marriage. Maverick says he cannot even consummate the marriage, but R-Truth hilariously confuses it with constipation. Drake Maverick then challenges R-Truth to a championship rematch. Miz gets word from producers, and tells R-Truth that if he accepts the challenge, all other competitors are banned from ringside. R-Truth calls Maverick "Hornswoggle" before telling him his challenge is accepted. The championship match officially takes place next.

R-Truth fights them off, but Slater hits a neckbreaker on a distracted R-Truth to become the WWE 24/7 Champion. Slater makes the mistake of running back into the ring, and R-Truth beats Slater to regain the 24/7 title. Cedric Alexander then hits the Lumbar Check on R-Truth to win the title. When Cedric tries to escape, EC3 hits the One Percenter on Cedric from behind to win the title, Carmella then takes the title from EC3, and Truth pins EC3 with a schoolkid pin to win the title yet again. Everyone then chases R-Truth and Carmella to the back.

He calls Styles a trailblazer for athletes like him, and tonight, he has to prove he is worthy of holding the championship.

Charly Caruso is about to interview Kofi Kingston in the ring when Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens show up. Kevin Owens says he has some questions of his own, and kicks Charly Caruso out of the ring so he and Sami can host The Kevin and Sami Show. Owens and Sami ask Kofi why he is here, who he thinks he is, and why he cannot just leave. After Kofi makes fun of a bump on Owens' head, Sami asks why Kofi is a paper champion who gets by with help from his friends. He then asks Kofi why he uses his friends as WWE Champion, and Kofi says that when it comes to The New Day, they are a brotherhood. He then reminds Owens that he beat him as well as Ziggler on his own. Kofi says that he will also beat Sami Zayn all by himself, and Sami chalks up Kofi's answer to arrogance and delusions of grandeur before saying he is going to give him a dose of reality. Kofi says it is about perseverance, not ego, and that is about the fans, not himself. He then asks the fans if they are tired of Sami and Owens talking about themselves before daring Sami to get in the ring with him so they can have their match right now.

Xavier Woods begins by talking about Kofi Kingston's WWE Championship defense in a steel cage match against Dolph Ziggler at Stomping Grounds, then says it will only happen if Ziggler wins later tonight. Big E proposes "The Freaky Hour" for the last hour of Raw - which involves a slip 'n slide - before Ziggler shows up. Ziggler calls this typical behavior of The New Day made to distract from what everybody knows: that Kofi does not deserve to be WWE Champion. He goes on to say that Kofi would be nothing without The New Day, who will not be able to have his back at Stomping Grounds to the point that Kofi will return to Ghana as part of an apology tour. Ziggler then says that at Stomping Grounds, it will be him slamming Kofi's body into the unforgiving steel, rubbing him against the cage wall, kicking ass and taking names and becoming WWE Champion. Kofi reminds Ziggler that this all started in a different cage - the Elimination Chamber - and that he is fully aware of the dangers of the steel cage and that he is okay with it. He then says that regardless of how it happens, he will beat Ziggler at Stomping Grounds and remain WWE Champion. Kofi then says that Xavier Woods has been waiting to get his hands on Ziggler since Super ShowDown and will have his chance tonight. Ziggler says he would be WWE Champion had it not been for Woods. Ziggler then states that after tonight, Woods will never be able to help Kofi again, and at Stomping Grounds, all the positivity and the comedy will come crumbling down when Kofi is locked in a steel cage with him. He promises that Kofi will not be WWE Champion after Sunday, because it should have been him.

Dolph Ziggler beats Xavier Woods. During the match, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn show up and attack Big E and Kofi Kingston. Owens and Sami are ejected, as are Kofi and Big E, but not before Xavier Woods wipes Owens and Sami out with a top rope cross body to the outside.

Backstage, Bo Dallas and Curtis Alex want to be the referee for the Universal Championship match at Stomping Grounds, but Shelton Benjamin says Baron Corbin will use anyone to win a title and doesn't mind using him for a change. Matt Hardy is then seen walking out of a door, telling Shelton he is next to be interviewed.

It's time for A Moment Of Bliss with special guest Bayley. Alexa is about to introduce Bayley when she realizes her coffee is not here. Bayley shows up drinking Alexa's coffee, then tells Nikki that Alexa is not really her friend and that she is just using her. Alexa is about to introduce Bayley when she realizes her coffee is not here. Bayley shows up drinking Alexa's coffee, then tells Nikki that Alexa is not really her friend and that she is just using her. Bayley says Alexa is making up scenarios that didn't exist, and that Alexa is just "an entitled little princess who doesn't deserve a damn thing" who is using Nikki like she did Nia Jax. Alexa says she is and has always been better than Bayley, but Bayley says she has never needed to latch on to people to get ahead in order to become champion. Alexa calls Bayley "a placeholder" who peaked in NXT and says that she is living out the career that Bayley always wanted. Bayley and Alexa brawl, and Nikki Cross has to pry Bayley off of Alexa. Alexa then attacks Bayley from behind as Bayley is yelling at Nikki Cross.

Backstage, Apollo Crews meets with Zelina Vega as he is looking for Andrade. Suddenly, Andrade rushes up and attacks Apollo from behind. Chad Gable is then seen taking notes in the distance.

"The New" Daniel Bryan and Rowan guest on commentary for the next match.

Heavy Machinery (Tucker and Otis) beat The B-Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel). After the match, Seth Rollins shows up and attacks The B-Team with a steel chair.

Shane McMahon is seen exiting a limousine outside of the arena. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn shows up and alert Shane to Seth Rollins' attack on The B-Team (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel), and say that something needs to be done, as only "bad people" do what Seth Rollins is doing. Shane proposes they take on Kofi Kingston and Rollins in a two-out-of-three falls match to "take care of the bad people."

We hear from Aleister Black, who asks what it takes to change the essence of a man. He says he understands why nobody has picked a fight with him: he can hear the whispers of those who pass by. He says that these whispers state that he would amount to nothing, but this is a "woe is his opponents" story, not a "woe is me" one, for when someone picks a fight with him, he will change the essence of that man.

Shane McMahon shows up with Elias and Drew McIntyre. Shane states it is time to place a spotlight exactly where it should be: Drew McIntyre, who will defeat Roman Reigns at Stomping Grounds. Drew prays that Roman is listening to him tonight, because Shane asked him not to end his career, for "they are better than that." He talks about Roman's assault on them in the VIP Lounge last night, and says that he wants Roman at 100% on Sunday. Suddenly, The Miz shows up and and shows the video of Roman Reigns' attack at the VIP Lounge from last night, then shows slow-motion footage of Shane running away from Roman and Shane getting beaten up by Roman Reigns. After reminding Shane that he's "the boss' son," he states that he will fill Miz TV with highlights of Roman Reigns knocking Drew McIntyre out. Miz says that Shane McMahon made SmackDown Live "the land of opportunities," but now all the opportunities go to Shane to feed his ego and everyone is tired of it. He then feels that he has created a monster when he got injured at the World Cup, and states that Shane is his responsibility, for he started Shane on his current path and it is time for him to end it. Shane says he had to take care of things himself, since Miz could not get the job done, then proposes that Miz face Elias and Drew McIntyre in a tag team match with a partner of his choosing, should he find a partner in the next ten seconds. Suddenly, R-Truth pops out from underneath the ring, and The Miz notices him. He declares R-Truth to be his partner, and that Awesome Truth is back. Shane then makes the match a tag team elimination match, and announces that the match is up next.

The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) meet AOP (Akam and Rezar) before meeting Paige and The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane), who challenges them for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships before telling them that they have been given a match against them in Tokyo, Japan. Should The Kabuki Warriors beat them, they get a match for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

Drew McIntyre and Elias beat Awesome Truth (The Miz and R-Truth) in a tag team elimination match. After R-Truth is eliminated following the involvement of Shane McMahon, the 205 Live roster and Shelton Benjamin run around the ring, with Shelton holding the WWE 24/7 Championship. When Shelton is told by a referee that he has to pin R-Truth, R-Truth takes the WWE 24/7 Championship back and runs away through the crowd. After the match, Drew McIntyre hits The Miz with two more Claymore Kicks.

Backstage, Ember Moon is looking for Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose as Carmella looks for R-Truth. Carmella reminds Ember Moon that she has unfinished business with them. She finally finds Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville eating donuts, confronts them, and when told they were just giving her a healthier outlet for her time, knocks the donuts out of their hands and starts a brawl that referees have to break up.

Backstage, R-Truth is looking for Carmella when he runs into a referee as well as Drake Maverick, who ditches his Carmella disguise and pins R-Truth to win the WWE 24/7 Championship before stealing the referee's car.

Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston beat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a two-out-of-three falls tag team match. The first fall happens at the beginning of the match when Kofi hits Sami with Trouble In Paradise and Rollins knocks Owens off the apron. The second fall happens after Rollins hits The Stomp on Owens.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 17, 2019

Elias is in the middle of the ring to start tonight's show. He says that Anthony Davis told him he is a piece of garbage and wanted to be with other pieces of garbage, and to do that, he had to go to a place where people are more toxic than the air. Elias then takes his jacket off to reveal a black-and-white striped tanktop, stating that Baron Corbin picked him to be the special guest referee for his match against Seth Rollins for the Universal Championship at Stomping Grounds. Right after this, Seth Rollins shows up from behind and smashes a steel chair into his back multiple times. Rollins then takes the microphone and says that after all he has been through with Brock Lesnar, he is done playing games, and calls his attack on Elias the first and last warning to anyone who sides with Corbin as well as what awaits them if they do. After Rollins leaves, The Miz shows up for the next match and puts Elias in the Skull Crushing Finale. When Bobby Lashley shows up, he hits Elias with a Spear. Cesaro then becomes the third man to enter for the next match and puts Elias in the giant swing while The Miz counts in the corner. Ricochet arrives next and hits Elias with a Codebreaker, then Braun Strowman shows up and plants Elias with a running powerslam.

Samoa Joe watches the next match from ringside.

Ricochet beats The Miz, Bobby Lashley, Cesaro and Braun Strowman to face Samoa Joe for the WWE United States Championship at Stomping Grounds. During the match, Strowman eliminates Lashley and Cesaro in short order, and both Lashley and Cesaro stay around after being eliminated to help Ricochet eliminate Strowman. Strowman responds by Biel Tossing Ricochet into Lashley before shoving Cesaro into the Mini-Tron on his way out. After the match, Samoa Joe gets in the ring and assaults Ricochet from behind, but Ricochet gets the last word.

Becky Lynch shows up. She wastes no time calling out Lacey Evans, saying she has to listen to her every week about what she deserves and stating that she will give her exactly what she deserves when she comes into striking distance. She also says that since Lacey Evans likes to curry favor, she will do the fans a favor by kicking her ass all over Los Angeles, California. Lacey Evans shows up and says nobody cares and that Becky Lynch has it all wrong again. Becky gives Lacey a choice between talking as slow as humanly possible or getting her ass kicked again. Lacey tells Becky she may have a flawless image, but she has been through things Becky cannot comprehend. Becky says that since they are in Hollywood, Lacey can give a performance where she tugs on the fans' heartstrings. Lacey reminds Becky - and the fans - that she is a real United States Marine and can do a lot with dignity and grace that she brings to the ring, as it is what the women's division deserves. Becky tells Lacey she knows her story, and says it makes it harder to understand why Lacey does what she does and that Lacey is "a steaming pile of trash." Lacey says the women's division needs a legitimate, confident classy lady like her, not Becky. She then says that she cost Becky one of her championships before as she slowly enters the ring, and Becky immediately runs up to Lacey and hits her with a Bexploder Suplex.

Backstage, The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) are seen meeting with Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre in the VIP lounge drinking champagne.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Baron Corbin, who says that he is not scrambling for another guest referee and that he has a lot of great choice. He says he has somebody in mind already, and will reveal who it is on The Kevin and Sami Show. He is then attacked with a steel chair by Seth Rollins, who tells Corbin he would hand him a seat, but he has work to do.

We look back on Seth Rollins' road to WWE, courtesy of Modelo Especial.

"The New" Daniel Bryan and Rowan show up. Bryan says he understands why he needed to be brought in as a wild card tonight, as Los Angeles, California and Raw both suck. He states it is no secret that Los Angeles is the smog capital of the world and is filled with ignorant and impotent people, and says that he and Rowan are here to lift people above the fog while educating and exciting them. Tonight, he will excite the fans by destroying Seth Rollins and proving that one-half of the planet's tag team champions is better than all of Raw and that they are the greatest tag team in history. After Daniel Bryan tells the people of Los Angeles to prepare to be excited, The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) suddenly show up and stare at Daniel Bryan and Rowan before heading to the ring.

The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) beat Russ and Randy Taylor. After the match, R-Truth and Carmella are seen in disguise in the front row, but they are quickly discovered. R-Truth and Carmella dive underneath the ring, but the only person everyone finds is Titus O'Neil. R-Truth and Carmella escape through the crowd with everyone giving chase.

At the VIP Lounge, Heath Slater show up to talk business with Shane McMahon, saying he needs more money. Shane says Slater has guts, but tells him the answer is no. However, since he walked in like a man, he will let him walk out like a man. Outside of the VIP Lounge, Slater is met by Drew McIntyre, who tells him that it kills him to see him like this. He drops some money, and when Slater picks it up for him, he attacks Slater, and Shane McMahon and The Revival (Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) have to hold him back.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn show up to host The Kevin and Sami Show. They announce tonight's guest, Baron Corbin, who shows up. Sami calls his and Kevin's show "a safe working environment" compared to the rest of WWE, and therefore he is withdrawing any eligibility from being Baron Corbin's hand-picked referee. Kevin Owens does the same in solidarity with Sami. The subject of who will be Baron Corbin's hand-picked referee, Corbin says he had a lot of options and that he picked someone who was born to count to three: EC3. EC3 shows up, but he is soon nailed with a steel chair from behind by Seth Rollins. After showing frustration with Seth Rollins, Corbin says it's back to the drawing board before The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up. After Big E drapes his cape over EC3, Sami Zayn tells The New Day that they are not even part of tonight's show and that they should leave, but Kofi Kingston says he is the WWE Champion and he and his guys go where they want. Kevin Owens warns Kofi Kingston that he will be losing the WWE Championship to him the next chance he gets, but Kofi reminds Owens that he lost at Money In The Bank and that it will be him and Dolph Ziggler in a steel cage, where he will still retain the WWE Championship. Corbin proposes to Sami and Owens that they give The New Day a beating back to SmackDown Live. Xavier Woods considers that a challenge, and if a referee were here to sanction the match, it is on. The New Day then pick up EC3 and move him up and down to get him to sanction the match, then ask him to sanction the match. Kofi does his best ventriloquism to get EC3 to sanction the match in Weekend At Bernie's fashion, and the match is on.

In the trainer's room, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles is met by Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson). Styles talks about Gallows & Anderson's debut three years ago, but tells them that while they have made a lot of money, they have gotten comfortable. Anderson says that if he wants serious, then he should watch when they beat The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) tonight.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) beat Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in a two-out-of-three falls. The New Day get the first fall after Woods pushes Sami's shoulders to the mat as Sami pulls Xavier away from The New Day to keep him from tagging out of the match. They then score the second fall after Corbin inadvertently clotheslines Sami, causing Owens to confront - and superkick - Corbin before he and Sami walk out on him.

In the locker room, Nikki Cross is met by Alexa Bliss, who brings her a coffee mug with a note inside, which is an invitation to a tag team title match vs. The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce). Alexa tells Nikki she worked her match to get a title match, and that the fans will soon have a champion who will know how to treat them with respect.

Paul Heyman shows up. He admits that he is not comfortable being out here following Seth Rollins hitting other people with steel chairs, even though he is not a physical threat to Rollins. He states he will not be the special guest referee at Stomping Ground, and that he does not want to be. He says that he would respectfully decline the position, given that everyone who has accepted the position has been beaten with a steel chair, then states that the Los Angeles Lakers and Seth Rollins both "traded away their balls." He says that the Lakers traded their balls for a "playmate for Lebron James" and that Rollins traded his balls for a steel chair, and says that Brock Lesnar knows how to swing a steel chair pretty well himself. Heyman states that if Rollins is here and has a formidable opponent tonight - which he is and does - then Lesnar may or may not be here. He then states that nobody knows when Lesnar will cash in and strike, not even Rollins.

Backstage, Baron Corbin speaks with Eric Young, who says he will think about being special guest referee for Corbin. He is then met by Seth Rollins, and tells him that he has turned down the offer. Rollins says he has known him for a while and that he knows he would not do anything, then strikes him with a steel chair as soon as he turns his back.

We hear from The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso), who says that Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) are about to run up and get done up tonight.

We hear from Hulk Hogan, who rooted for the USA Women's Soccer Team this past Sunday.

Roman Reigns shows up. He admits that Super ShowDown was not a good night, and while excuses are not entertaining, him whipping somebody's ass tonight is. Roman then gives Shane McMahon the opportunity to face him on his own one-on-one tonight. Shane appears on the Titantron, and after Greg Hamilton gives him "the proper introduction," he tells Roman he should not be ashamed of losing to the best in the world. As for Roman's offer, the answer is no, and Shane says he should be more concerned with Drew McIntyre, who tells Roman he is not out there beating him up because of Shane McMahon, and at Stomping Ground, he will not stop him from destroying him. He then tells Roman that he wants Roman to come home to his family disfigured, and Roman leaves through the crowd and heads to the VIP lounge as Drew continues to speak. Roman then fights off The Revival in the back, then makes his way to the VIP lounge and confronts Shane and McIntyre before punching McIntyre and cornering Shane. Roman and McIntyre brawl, and Roman puts McIntyre through a table before chasing Shane through the crowd. When Shane looks for Roman, Roman finds him and pummels him. Roman gets Shane in the ring and hits him with a Superman Punch followed by a Spear. He then tells Shane to crawl to the back and tell McIntyre that he will whup his ass on Sunday.
