Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch retain the NXT Tag Team Championships against Drake Maverick and Killian Dain in a Street Fight.

The Way (Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Austin Theory) decorate a Christmas tree and put up the stockings as Johnny Gargano plays piano. After a No Way Jose joke, Austin Theory is gifted with "The Gargano Whey," a wryly-named whey powder.

We see a video package for Kyle O'Reilly vs. Finn Balor for the NXT Championship at NXT New Year's Evil.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Tyler Rust and Malcolm Bivens. Bivens says Rust had a great debut last week, and that he will prove he is "a diamond in the Rust."

Isaiah "Swerve" Scott beats Jake Atlas in a rematch. After the match, Atlas refuses to shake Swerve's hand due to Swerve's gloating.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Adam Cole. Cole says Kyle O'Reilly's strategy has changed and that his next match with Finn Balor will be different. As he and Roderick Strong say that O'Reilly will become NXT Champion, Velveteen Dream shows up. Dream says that O'Reilly is "the head of the snake" around here, and after calling Cole "a cheerleader," Cole slaps Dream in the face before telling him The Undisputed Era (Cole, Bobby Fish, O'Reilly, Strong) has no leader and that he will beat him into the ground tonight.

We hear from Timothy Thatcher, who says that he should be grateful that Tommaso Ciampa wanted to fight him. He says that the lesson was not complete after TakeOver, and when he challenged Ciampa, Ciampa disrespected him by walking away. After saying that Ciampa does not like guys who talk tough with their mouths, he says that he will take liberties with Leon Ruff before stating that he wants to fight Ciampa.

Rhea Ripley beats Dakota Kai. Before the match, it is announced that as per General Manager William Regal on Twitter, Raquel Gonzalez has been banned from ringside for this match at Raquel's request. Near the end of the match, Raquel Gonzalez shows up to watch the match from the stage. After the match, Raquel gets in the ring and has a staredown with Rhea Ripley as referees show up and demand they not have a physical confrontation. Despite their protests, both women brawl, and referees have to separate them.

The Way (Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Austin Theory) continues to open Christmas presents. Indi Hartwell gets a PlayStation 5...almost. Gargano claims the PS5 for his own, but the gift that is really inside is the family nickname that she has proven worthy of: Indi Wrestling. Candice LeRae makes an independent wrestling joke saying "I support you...I support Indi Wrestling."

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Toni Storm, who says that she called her shot and beat Rhea Ripley last like she said she would. Storm then says she is going to take the NXT Women's Championship from Io Shirai, as Shirai is afraid of her due to the fact that she is the one woman she cannot beat, and that the NXT Women's Championship is not Shirai's only problem; her second problem will be her.

Bronson Reed returns next!

We see Xia Li and Boa go through more training and torture for their master.

Bronson Reed quickly beats Ashante "Thee" Adonis.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Io Shirai, who says that she has heard what Toni Storm had to stay before making her way to the ring. Shirai sits in a steel chair in the middle ring and calls out Toni Storm. Storm's entrance theme plays, but Shirai is attacked from behind by Mercedes Martinez. Martinez also throws Shirai into the announce table hard enough to break the front of it.

The Way (Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Austin Theory) continues to open Christmas presents. Candice LeRae gets a broken wheel that is from Shotzi Blackheart's destroyed tank, which Gargano found in a junkyard. As The Way wishes everyone a merry Christmas, Theory spits out whey powder.

Leon Ruff beats Timothy Thatcher with an inside cradle after Thatcher tries to call out Tommaso Ciampa. After the match, Thatcher attacks Leon Ruff, then Tommaso Ciampa shows up and hits him with Willow's Bell. He then tells Thatcher that if he wants a fight, he will see him in the fight pit.

We hear from Damian Priest, who says that Karrion Kross blindsided him after telling him to face him like a man, and that Kross will not be as bad as he thinks he is when he punks him out in front of the world.

We see Dexter Lumis draw a picture about Rhea Ripley and Raquel Gonzalez's Last Woman Standing Match at NXT New Year's Evil.

Tyler Rust beats Ariya Daivari by submission.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Leon Ruff, who says that he has just had a chat with General Manager William Regal and received a rematch for the NXT North American Championship. He says that next week, he hopes Johnny Gargano does not break his curse when he becomes a champion again.

We hear from Karrion Kross, who says that Damian Priest fancies himself the life of the party and likes to get into trouble. He says that Priest made a big mistake questioning his manhood and making smartass comments to Scarlett. Kross considers Priest "an interesting roadblock" to taking back what he truly never lost, and Scarlett tells Damian Priest that doomsday is coming.

Voting is now open for the 2020 NXT Year End Awards!

Adam Cole beats Velveteen Dream. During the match, it is announced that Roderick Strong vs. Pete Dunne is official for next week following an attack on Strong from Dunne at ringside earlier in the match.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for November 4, 2020

Dakota Kai beats Ember Moon following the distraction from Raquel Gonzalez.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Cameron Grimes, who is still weirded out after last week's match but is focused on his match with KUSHIDA tonight. When a referee tells Grimes his match is up next, Grimes runs away, thinking the referee is a zombie.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Shotzi Blackheart, who says that she has been allowed to pick her own opponent after hosting last week's show, and says that tonight's match is a huge test against her hand-picked opponent, Toni Storm.

KUSHIDA beats Cameron Grimes with the Hoverboard Lock. During the match, the referee is down after Grimes runs KUSHIDA into him. Another referee shows up, but it is the referee from Grimes' interview from earlier, whom Grimes thinks is a zombie. KUSHIDA then locks the Hoverboard Lock on a scared Grimes, who taps out.

We hear from Toni Storm, who says that while she respects Shotzi Blackheart, she picked the wrong woman to have a match with as she is a new Toni Storm who will use Shotzi as a stepping stone to the top of the women's division.

We hear from Io Shirai, who says that she wants to face Rhea Ripley one more time with the NXT Women's Championship on the line.

Drake Maverick and Killian Dain vs. Ever-Rise (Chase Parker and Matt Martel) ends in a no-contest. During the match, Pat McAfee, Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch and Pete Dunne show up and attack all four men while Pat McAfee mans the television camera that catches them pulling up outside.

Pat McAfee, Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch and Pete Dunne Pat McAfee, Oney Lorcan, Danny Burch and Pete Dunne are still in the ring after the commercial break. McAfee says they are the best group in NXT, then says they are men of class and the new kings of NXT. He says that as the new kings, he says it is only proper to pay tribute to The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) and their accomplishments in NXT. As Pat McAfee mocks the history of The Undisputed Era, Pete Dunne says Roderick Strong taught him he had to trust the right people in this business and that he finally returned the favor last week. McAfee then says The Undisputed Era got more greedy and that NXT changed their business philosophy to prop them up, while people like Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch were held back. Burch says that people told him and Lorcan they would never make it, but they are now tag team champions. Pat McAfee then says that The Undisputed Era did whatever they wanted, and that it took a run-in with him for it to all to start crashing down. McAfee says that he and his group have hated The Undisputed Era for various reasons, and that putting Adam Cole was the greatest thing he has ever done. He then says it is time to put their banner up in the air so they are never head from again. McAfee then asks Lorcan, Burch and Dunne if they should put the banner up, and after a democratic vote between the four of them, they agree to throw the banner in a trash can "like Vic Joseph's face." After the banner is placed in a trash can, Dunne pours lighter fluid on it, then lights up a lighter and throws it on the banner, lighting it on fire. Pat McAfee mocks the fans, then everyone leaves. As they get in their car, however, Killian Dain and Drake Maverick attack them, but they are quickly laid out, and Pete Dunne kicks a car door into Killian Dain's head. The four of them then drive off, and there is a pool of blood emanating from Killain Dain's mouth.

We hear from Johnny Gargano, who says that he likes wheels and making history, despite recent rumors to the contrary regarding wheels. Suddenly, he gets a phone call from the cloaked figure, who says they are in the house. The cloaked figure is then revealed to be sitting next to Johnny. Johnny Gargano then says that he defends his title next week and ends his title defense curse, then wins The Game of Life against the black cloaked figure.

Toni Storm beats Shotzi Blackheart after Candice LeRae shows up on the TitanTron in the middle of a road with Shotzi's tank, saying she will watch over it for her. It is announced that Killian Dain is heading to a hospital following the attack on him from earlier tonight. After the match, Candace - still on the TitanTron - stops a Hummer, then gets in the driver's seat and runs the tank over as a lesson to those who stick their nose into her and Johnny Gargano's business. The hooded black figure sits in the back seat. After Candace LeRae says she and Shotzi Blackheart are even after Shotzi cost her the NXT Women's Championship, Shotzi is distraught, and Toni Storm tries to console Shotzi.

In footage from earlier today, Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza) is confronted by Jake Atlas, who strikes Raul Mendoza with a pipe before driving off.

It's time for another live edition of Thatch As Thatch Can. Timothy Thatcher's next lesson is reversals. He says that anybody can catch a hold and that you have to ready at all times when you step in the ring. Timothy Thatcher then demonstrates a front guillotine choke with his student Akeem, then has Akeem do one so he moves to the side as he goes down and applies pressure with his forearm to forcefuly break the hold and go for a Kimura Lock. As Akeem taps, he locks it in even more, and Akeem almost gets angry with him. Thatcher then shows what to do during an escape attempt from the opponent, which leads to an ankle lock. Suddenly, Thatcher is attacked from behind by "Retro" Anthony Green, now known as August Grey.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Xia Li, who says that the letters she has gotten are personal letters from family and that she must turn things around. Suddenly, she gets another one from General Manager William Regal. After reading the letter, Xia Li demands a match with Raquel Gonzalez - who has dishonored her - next week. Regal says he will take care of that.

We hear from Rhea Ripley, who has wanted to challenge Io Shirai since June after this year has been "trash." She says that Io Shirai is terrified of losing her championship, and says that she will enter 2021 as NXT Women's Champion.

Next week: Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) vs. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch for the NXT Tag Team Championships!

After the match, Theory says he is the future of NXT and WWE and that he has done more in the business more than Reed has ever done in his career, and tells Reed to get in the ring and face him again. Reed runs in and accepts the challenge. That challenge is quickly overcome following a massive Samoan Drop that leads to Bronson Reed beating Austin Theory again.

We hear from Io Shirai, who says that it does not matter which match she gets next week, as she will beat Candice LeRae.

Timothy Thatcher is in the ring for a live "Thatch as Thatch Can" lesson about success. He says one needs aggression and the ability to show no mercy, and says that he and Anthony Greene will show how to cause extreme pain with simple technique. Thatcher then shows how to get his elbow into somebody's cheek as Greene goes for his leg, then shows how to use Green's momentum against him to put him in a wrist lock. As this keeps going, Greene gets angry, and when Thatcher tells Greene to take his wrist, he goes for the leg again, and pushes Thatcher to the corner. This leads to an impromptu match.

Timothy Thatcher beats Anthony Greene with a single leg crab.

We hear from Damian Priest, who says he understands why Johnny Gargano came at him the way he did, and says that Gargano cannot move on from a loss while he can. He says that Gargano is still the same guy he always was, but that the difference is that he is here now. He then asks if Gargano can take the pain in whatever match they have next week.

Killian Dain soon gets up with the baseball bat in hand and scares Strong and Fish into retreating. Maverick coms to and backs into the corner, then Killian Dain puts the rod down before leaving. Maverick stops Dain and offers his hand, but Dain punches Maverick in the face again.

Back at the Gargano residence, Tegan and Candice toast to their friendship as well as Candice becoming the NXT Women's Champion, with Candice saying Tegan had her chance at the title and that it did not got well. Tegan reminds Candice that she has yet to beat Io Shirai, and Candice responds by throwing a whole bowl of salad at Tegan. Tegan responds by splashing a cup of water into her face, and this starts an argument where Johnny Gargano steps in the middle only to have a bowl of spaghetti poured on his head after Gargano calls Tegan "a horrible person." Candice throws something at Tegan only to hit the television, then Tegan runs out of the house with Candice chasing her. Gargano mourns the destruction of the television.

O'Reilly says their custom intro was "just something [he] threw together last night," and Cole says they have all the undisputed power. Gargano shows up, and says that Ricochet is trying to use his emotions against him. He says that he has a plan, then tries to brawl with Ricochet. Ricochet gets the upper hand, but is blinsided by Tommaso Ciampa. Gargano then notices Ciampa, and both men stare down before Ciampa backs down and stays in the ring to let Gargano wail on Ricochet at ringside. Suddenly, Aleister Black shows up and attacks Tommaso Ciampa in the ring. Gargano gets in the ring and attacks Aleister from behind before superkicking him. Gargano and Ciampa then look at each other before Ciampa proceeds to pound on Aleister, then Gargano goes back to work on Ricochet when Ricochet gets back in the ring. They then lay Ricochet and Aleister out before staring at each other again, then they both leave the ring. They then look at each other again outside of the ring as they both make their way to the back. Ciampa then extends his hand, but Candice LeRae jumps in between them and tells Gargano that they are not going through this again.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for November 7, 2018

Heavy Machinery (Tucker Knight and Otis Dozovic) beats The Forgotten Sons (Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake) in a close match after Tucker Knight shoves Steve Cutler into Jaxson Ryker!

We see footage from earlier today where Candice LeRae tells interviewers she did not come here to be exploited, and that she is asking General Manager William Regal for a match with Nikki Cross after Nikki gave her no answers.

Cathy Kelley interviews "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler. Baszler asks how many times she has to beat Kairi Sane down until people realize how insignificant she is, then General Manager William Regal shows up. Regal tells Shayna Baszler the title rematch will take place at NXT TakeOver: War Games 2018 and that it will be a two-out-of-three falls match given Baszler's checkered past.

Dakota Kai beats Taynara Conti.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Mia Yim. Mia says she has been living the dream in NXT, then Bianca Belair interrupts her interview. Bianca wants to know why Mia Yim is being interviewed when she has been here for two years and still undefeated, and still hasn't gotten her title shot. She also tells Mia Yim to go back where she came from. Mia tells Bianca that she has yet to beat her. Bianca then laughs and leaves.

We see footage from last week where "The King of Bros" Matt Riddle and Keith Lee are talking to each other when Kassius Ohno welcomes Riddle as General Manager William Regal's "shiny new toy," saying he likes shiny new toys as they are easy to break. Nevertheless, Matt Riddle and Keith Lee are unfazed by Kassius Ohno's words.

We see a video package for The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) vs. War Raiders (Hanson and Rowe), Pete Dunne and Ricochet in a War Games Match at NXT TakeOver: War Games 2018.

We see a video of Johnny Gargano. Gargano says he always been open and honest with the fans, and mentions that he and Aleister Black are on their own paths. Gargano says his path lead to Tommaso Ciampa and the NXT Championship, but Aleister Black got in the way and became collateral damage. He says Aleister walks around like he owns the place, and calls Aleister "confused" after quoting the first two lines of Aleister's theme music: "Mo man is every truly good / no man is every truly evil." Gargano fancies himself the good guy at the end of the story, but as soon as he did something evil, everyone freaked out. He says he is still the same guy, but he has learned that sometimes, you have to fight a little dirty. He understands and accepts Aleister wanting to kick his face off, but after everything he has been through, he is not scared of him, for he lives in a dark place and he is not afraid of the dark anymore. As a matter of fact, he is starting to like it. He then shows the spot where he left Aleister laying, and at NXT TakeOver: War Games 2018, he will leave him laying again.

Next week: Mia Yim vs. Bianca Belair!

We hear from General Manager William Regal, who announces that there will be a match next week where the winner's team will get an advantage in the War Games Match at NXT TakeOver: War Games 2018.

Lars Sullivan beats Velveteen Dream after Dream takes out Tommaso Ciampa on the outside only to fall victim to the Freak Accident when he gets back in the ring. After the match, Ciampa gets in the ring and attacks Velveteen Dream as he gets back up, and tells him that he is the champ and that he does not share his spotlight or his main event as he is not even in his league. Ciampa then proceeds to viciously attack Velveteen Dream, but Dream is able to fight back and hits Ciampa with a twisting DDT onto the NXT Championship that Ciampa has laid in the middle of the ring. Referees rush out to stop Velveteen Dream from hitting the Purple Rainmaker. Velveteen Dream pretends to leave the ring, then rushes back to the turnbuckle and hits Ciampa with it anyway before lifting up the NXT Championship to end the show.
