Generation NXT - NXT recap for June 19, 2019
The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong) show up to start tonight's show. Adam Cole says "Told you so!" before stating that the NXT Championship is just the start of their 2019 prophecy of being covered in gold, and that they attack and take what they want from the guy up top. If anyone gets in their way, they make sure they regret it. Cole then states that they will reshape NXT into "an undisputed image," and states that the show should start with an intro consisting of nothing but shots of them. O'Reilly says their custom intro was "just something [he] threw together last night," and Cole says they have all the undisputed power. Cole then tells the North American and NXT Tag Team Champions to have the belts shined up for them, as they will have all the gold and all the power this year and they will not stop until they have it all and nobody will be able to touch them. He states that The Undisputed Era will have every ounce of power that NXT has to offer, then Velveteen Dream shows up. Velveteen Dream says that if nobody can touch Adam Cole, he would like to touch him, then says that he is "the NXT experience" is due to him, and while Cole looks good in gold, he looks even better, and he wants the NXT title to go along with the North American one. Roderick Strong tells Velveteen Dream to "dream on" and that he is undeserving of being North American Champion or even being in their presence. Suddenly, Matt Riddle shows up. Riddle asks Roderick Strong how hard he hit him at NXT TakeOver XXV, as he has wins against The Undisputed Era. Cole says Riddle is jealous because he has never held gold and has squandered every championship opportunity he had. Cole then tells Riddle to go back to writing reviews about wrestlers from the Attitude Era, for the Attitude Era is over and Riddle's era will never come, for he is living in their era. Suddenly, Tyler Breeze shows up. Breeze says that he has been talking with General Manager William Regal, and while he does not care who is more undisputed or who is better looking, he cares about The Undisputed Era taking credit for a brand he built before they even showed up. He announces that Regal has taken his suggestion and that he, Velveteen Dream and Matt Riddle will take on three members of The Undisputed Era in the main event.
Next week: Io Shirai vs. "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women's Championship in a steel cage match!
