205:Alive - 205 Live recap for June 11, 2019

Chad Gable beats "Gentleman" Jack Gallagher by count-out by the slimmest of margins. (It is later revealed that this was not the planned finish. Gable asks for the microphone after the match, probably in an attempt to get the match restarted, but he never gets it.)

Backstage, Mike and Maria Kanellis confront General Manager Drake Maverick, saying that he has undermined Mike's attempts to rise up the ranks in 205 Live, saying Chad Gable should have been his opponent. Maverick says they have done nothing but complain about their status, even on Twitter, but Maria Kanellis says they should be rewarded for fulfilling their obligations and that Maverick should worry about his own status.

In footage from last Tuesday, Noam Dar says Drew Gulak's attack on him would never happened if people in charge of 205 Live cared about working condition, and says he is considering moving to NXT UK permanently if this does not get any better.

Next week: The Singh Brothers (Samir and Sunil Singh) vs. The Lucha House Party (Kalisto, Lince Dorado, Gran Metalik)!

The Singh Brothers (Samir and Sunil Singh) beat Dos Locales.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese, who congratulates General Manager Drake Maverick for finally making a decision, and even though he would like to challenge himself against Akira Tozawa, there are other possibilities in Humberto Carrillo, Drew Gulak and Oney Lorcan. He says that Gulak has never been more dangerous in all the time he has known him, and that his victory over Gulak is why Gulak disappeared. Regardless of who he faces, he will prove why he is "The Premier Athlete."

Drew Gulak vs. Humberto Carrillo vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Oney Lorcan to decide a #1 contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship ends with Gulak and Tozawa pinning each other with a cradle-like pin after Gulak hits Tozawa with a superplex. Another referee as well as General Manager Drake Maverick show up. One referee declares Gulak the winner, but another does the same for Tozawa.
