Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for June 8, 2019

Colt Cabana retains the NWA National Championship against "The Cowboy" James Storm in a 15-minute time limit draw. After the match, Colt Cabana says there was no way he was going to tap out to Storm's Cloverleaf just before the time limit expired, and tells Storm that if he wants to earn the title, he will give him five more minutes. Before the match can be restarted, Colt Cabana is attacked from behind by The Briscoes (Jay and Mark Briscoe). Jay then says "To Hell with the NWA," saying that NWA screwed them at the Crockett Cup and that ROH has screwed them as well, and says it is time to do some screwing of their own. He then says nobody has the balls to stop The Briscoes, not even Colt Cabana or Nick Aldis. Aldis leaves the commentary table and fights The Briscoes, but the numbers game catches up to him. Colt Cabana tries to make the save, but The Briscoes attack him as well.

We see part two of a sit-down interview with Jeff Cobb.

Before the next match, "The Last Real Man" Silas Young says it is fairly obvious to anybody paying attention that he has turned over a new leaf; gone are the days of taking shortcuts or doing whatever he felt like doing to win a match, for there is not a better, more pure wrestler than him. He says he could have had a match with anyone on the Ring of Honor roster tonight, but he could have easily beaten them, so he has decided to push himself by going out and finding a guy who is unquestionably one of the greatest wrestlers of all time: The Squid. A man in red trunks, knee pads, white boots and a white mask shaped like a squid with eye holes shows up and gets in the ring.

"The Last Real Man" Silas Young beats The Squid with an abdominal stretch, then refuses to let go of the hold while smoking a cigarette.

Before the next match, "Overkill" Mark Haskins says he came to Ring of Honor because it is a place where wrestling matters, and he did not work for the last 15 years to be labelled as an "entertainer." He says that he is a gretty, in-your-face, fight-you-any-day-of-the-week-and-twice on Sundays wrestler that everyone can appreciate, as ROH loves professional wrestling. He says he has fight in his heart that just will not quit, and on day one in ROH, he got to face one of the best talents today in Bandido. Juice Robinson was the first person to meet them in the back and, seeing something in them that he liked, offered them an invitation to become part of LifeBlood. He then mentions that Tenille Dashwood's chance to come back from injury was taken away from her by Bully Ray, whom he does not even consider a human being. Haskins calls out Bully Ray, daring him to come to the ring, and after the commercial break, Bully Ray shows up and tells ring announcer Bobby Cruise and referee Paul Turner to get out of the ring before asking Overkill if he is going to bark or bite. Overkill tells Bully Ray that he and the fans are all fed up with him, and tells him to return to the cesspool he crawled out of and retire. Bully tells Haskins he tried to retire over a year ago in the exact same building, and asks how he could try again when the fans begged him not to retire. He then says everyone did it because they were suckers and bought into it, and that he lied about his retirement and lied his entire career because that is what he does and nobody has been able to stop him. He asks Haskins what makes him think he will shut him up, and Haskins says he does not think; he knows. He then proposes they go at it right here, right now, but Shane Taylor shows up immediately. "Hot Sauce" Tracy Williams shows up and stands with Haskins before saying he is tired of talking and that he and Haskins came for a fight. This starts an impromptu tag team match, but it does not last long when The Soldiers of Savagery (Malcolm Moses and Bishop Khan) show up and attack Haskins and Williams. Bully is about to put them through a table when "The Darewolf" PJ Black shows up with a steel chair to fight them off. The numbers game catches up with Black, and PJ Black is put through a table.
