Generation NXT - NXT recap for February 28, 2023

The show starts with multiple Superstars brawling backstage over Wes Lee's open challenge for the NXT North American Championship. Dabba-Kato breaks through Malik Blade and Edris Enofe, but he gets attacked by Apollo Crews. Finally, Nathan Frazer jumps over both Dabba-Kato and Apollo to answer the challenge.



Wes Lee retains the NXT North American Championship against Nathan Frazer, who has not been seen in NXT in months. Both men show respect after the match.



We hear from JD McDonagh, who talks about having a retinal tear. He says that he does not expect Ilja Dragunov to understand, but he soon will, and that their next battle will be the symphony he desires. He says that Dragunov has the highest pain resistance he has ever seen, and when he is medically cleared, he will push Dragunov beyond his limits, break his spirit and will, and send him home permanently.



Backstage, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen talk. Jensen says that since Valentine's Day, something has felt off, but Briggs says that his relationship problems with Kiana James will sort themselves out.

Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Hank Walker. Walker says he wants to prove he belongs in NXT, but he is seeing red with Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey. Axiom shows up and confronts Walker for nearly knocking him out and costing him a shot at the North American Championship, and referees have to hold both men back when their argument gets physical.

Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan and Sanga) beat Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen after it is clear that Jensen's head is not in the game. After the match, Jinder Mahal says India needs a new NXT champion. He says that The Creed Brothers have done everything but beat Indus Sher, and that will never change, and at Roadblock, they will get a beating ten times worse.



In backstage footage from moments ago, Katana Chance alerts a trainer to Wendy Choo having been attacked outside.



Gigi Dolin shows up. She talks about how Jacy Jayne betrayed her three weeks ago, then says this is not the first time she has had to deal with real, life-altering changes or being betrayed by someone close to her, and that she has realized who she is. She says that Jacy Jayne will always be about superficial, surface-level things as that was what Toxic Attraction was always about, and while it was a way for Jayne to channel her energy, Toxic Attraction was a way for her to channel her demons. Gigi says she told Jacy everything about her, and says that the last close person to hurt her was her own mother, and that she wanted to prove she could succeed in NXT and escape the abuse with her brother. She says that Jacy has never been through what she has been through, and at Roadblock, she will hammer the final nail in the coffin of Toxic Attraction and beat Jacy Jayne.



At Chase University, Duke Hudson apologizes to Thea Hail for his recent actions. Andre Chase then teaches a class on famous wrestling factions with The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid, Ava Raine) interrupts it. As The Schism trash Chase U, they also try to get to Thea Hail and Duke Hudson psychologically and threaten to leave Chase U burning in flames. Andre Chase says that at Roadblock, he will show the principles Chase University was built upon when he beats The Schism.



We hear from Dijak. He says that Tony D'Angelo has become public enemy number one, and when he is done with him, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo will not even recognize him. Next week at Roadblock, he will lock D'Angelo down for good.



Roxanne Perez guests on commentary for the next match.

Meiko Satomura beats Zoey Stark. After the match, Roxanne Perez and Meiko Satomura have a staredown in the middle of the ring.



As per Twitter, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels states that he will be on The Grayson Waller Effect next week.

As McKenzie Mitchell mentions the attack on Wendy Choo, Tiffany Stratton interrupts and tells everyone to stay out of the parking lot. When Katana Chance and Kayden Carter come out of the trainer's room, Tiffany says nobody cares about Wendy, but Katana and Kayden mention Tiffany's recent feud with Wendy. Tiffany questions where Kayden and Katana were when Wendy was attacked and entertains playing detective, but Katana tells Tiffany to put her boots on, as they are going to have a match.

Backstage, The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) talk about their upcoming match with Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan and Sanga), then meet with Damon Kemp and ask for his help despite their history. Kemp rejects the ide and leaves, then Bron Breakker shows up and offers his help for keeping his match against Jinder Mahal clean. The Creeds accept after Brutus and Bron mess with Julius.



Sol Ruca beats Elektra Lopez after it is revealed that Valentina Feroz has Elektra's brass knuckles. After the match, Elektra Lopez confronts Valentina Feroz, who punches Elektra Lopez out with the brass knuckles.



Earlier today at Big Daddy's, Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) play pool. Mark Coffey talks about their dominance in NXT UK and their history with Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) as he gets Wolfgang fired up, and when someone bumps into Wolfgang, Wolfgang breaks a pint glass on his back and beats him up.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince), who make fun of Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) getting angry. When they see a tweet from Drew McIntyre stating that Pretty Deadly has a receipt coming their way, Pretty Deadly call Scotland "a dreary country." Kit Wilson says they will meet Gallus face-to-face at Roadblock, and Elton Prince says it will be absolutely smashing.



Tiffany Stratton beats Katana Chance following the distraction by Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre. After the match, Tiffany Stratton says she has proven she is the best woman in NXT, but she wants to be NXT Women's Champion. She says she does not care who wins next week, as the title belongs to her.



Backstage, Josh Briggs talks with Brooks Jensen, saying that whatever is going on between him, Fallon Henley and Kiana James needs to be resolved, even though it will take some time. Jensen admits that he wishes he could have a do-over, but Briggs says life does not give a lot of do-overs. Briggs then offers to help talk to Kiana for him, and Jensen goes with the idea.



Axiom beats Hank Walker.



We hear from Grayson Waller via Twitter, who looks forward to "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels appearing on The Grayson Waller Effect and wonders which Shawn Michaels he will get before demanding the proper respect on his show.

Carmelo Hayes beats Tyler Bate following the distraction by Trick Williams.

Jarrett says not to worry about the strategy, as The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) are another team, The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) are "a bunch of carny rappers," and Revolution will be an evolution of AEW and the tag team titles.

"Pretty" Peter Avalon beats Dean Alexander. After the match, Tony Schavione interviews Avalon, who says that Chris Jericho embarassed him in front of his own people and that he will not let that fly. He says that Jericho took an opportunity he was overdue for, and he has his number.

Best Friends (Orange Cassidy and Danhausen) beat The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry).

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 27, 2023

Before the next match, Jimmy Uso says it may look like there are cracks in The Bloodline, but family fights all the time. He says that if someone comes for one member of The Bloodline, they will get them all, and that nobody has one up on them. As he says that he and Solo Sikoa are here to remind everyone who runs Raw, The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) show up. The Street Profits mock Jey Uso's absence and mention that there are cracks in The Bloodline's armor, and Jimmy Uso says they talk a lot of trash for someone The Bloodline bodies, and tells them to keep Roman Reigns' name out of their mouth. The Street Profits then say that they want the smoke, and this leads to a brawl where The Street Profits come out on top.



Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa beat The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford). After the match, Solo and Jimmy continue to attack The Street Profits, then Solo gets a chair and wraps Montez's head around it before going for the hip attack. All of a sudden, Solo is superkiced by Kevin Owens, who also gives Jimmy a Stunner.



Brock Lesnar heads to the ring. After Lesnar makes himself comfortable on the couch, MVP shows up and says this was not what he had in mind. Lesnar apologizes for being early, then says he has no beef with MVP and that he is all about business. Lesnar then says he is here to listen to MVP and sell the fans on a fight between himself and Omos. MVP asks if he does not have to worry about being taken to Suplex City, to which Lesnar responds "No suplexes tonight." MVP gets in the ring, then Lesnar says there is nothing that MVP can do to insult him before asking MVP to hype a match with Omos to see if they can do business. MVP says Lesnar is "the Beast Incarnate" and that the second Lesnar puts his hands on a man, that man has no chance. He then says he had his hands full with Omos and says that when he puts his hands on a giant, the giant puts his hands on him back. He says a beast will destroy any man, but a giant can subdue and conquer a beast, and while Lesnar can destroy any man he wants, he will not be able to do that to Omos. Lesnar laughs and admits that MVP did a good job on hyping the match up, then tells MVP that was "damn good" and that he accepts his challenge. He also says they should shake on it and drink on it, then both of them look at the WrestleMania sign while Lesnar makes it official. Both men shake hands, then MVP is about to open the bottle in the ice bucket when Lesnar produces a whiskey flask. Lesnar says they should have "the good stuff" if they are going to make this official, then he drinks from the flask. MVP goes for the champagne, but Lesnar insists on the flask, asking "You don't intend for me to drink alone, do you?" After finding out that a drink called "White Lightning" is in the flask, MVP takes a swig, then spits it out in Lesnar's face. Lesnar is unfazed as he cleans his face with MVP's handkerchief, then he hits MVP with the F5.



Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Lita and Becky Lynch. Lita says that some of her favorite career highlights have been among legendary tag teams, so to walk out as a tag team champion is a true bucket list check. Becky admits this is also a good bucket list item despite the fact that she does not play well with others, and one way or another, she and Lita will walk out tag team champions.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats Chad Gable (and messes with Otis before the end of the match by getting him to look at a woman in the crowd). After the match, Cody addresses his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match with Roman, then says that Roman will be on SmackDown this week and that he will be there, too.



Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Baron Corbin. Corbin says it has been no secret that things are not going his way, and that he has heard what people are saying. Byron Saxton then notices Kevin Owens and cuts the interview short, then interviews Owens. Owens says that other people are suffering the consequences for their actions, and that he wants to see The Bloodline fall and that he does not want or need any help doing that.

We see Bianca Belair and Montez Ford re-enact a scene from Titanic for WrestleMania Goes Hollywood.



We hear from The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) backstage. Dominik Mysterio mentions what happened between himself and Rey Mysterio last week, then says he and Rhea Ripley will be there next week for their heart-to-heart talk and that Rey will not be able to do anything afterwards. Rhea Ripley then says that last week, she looked into Charlotte Flair's eyes and saw acceptance, as nothing Charlotte could say or do could keep her from accepting her fate, and that she will become the new SmackDown Women's Champion. Finn Balor it is over between him and Edge when he says it is over, and if Edge accepts his challenge, they will end it once and for all at WrestleMania.



Backstage, Maximum Male Models (Maxxine Dupri, Mansoor, Mace) meets with Otis. Maxxine Dupri asks Otis if he has considered her offer, and says that if he were to have a match tonight, they can be in his corner tonight. Otis likes the idea, and heads to WWE official Adam Pearce for a match.

Asuka beats Carmella with an arm bar. After the match, Asuka calls out Bianca Belair, and Bianca Belair shows up. Bianca says she hopes Asuka is talking about how they will tear down the house at WrestleMania, then Carmella shoves Asuka into Bianca and leaves.



We get a closer look at Bronson Reed, courtesy of Creed III, in theaters March 3rd.

Before the next match, Nikki Cross is behind Candice LeRae, and Candice notices.

Candice LeRae beats Piper Niven with a stack-up pin after Nikki Cross charges at Piper Niven.



Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Johnny Gargano. Gargano mentions that he has a match tonight after Otis ran up to him wanting some "hot action" tonight. He says Otis beat him a few months back, then The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) shows up. After Gargano calls Priest "an adult going through a goth phase," Priest admits that Johnny Gargano has "a pair of stones" after he laid him out in the Elimination Chamber, and as Priest decides to lay him out again, Finn Balor stops Priest and says that Otis will flatten him and that if he does not get the job done, he will finish it himself. Gargano responds "Sounds delicious. I'll see you next week."

It's time for a WrestleMania edition of Miz TV. Miz mentions his ninth wedding anniversary with Maryse as well as the gift that Maryse gave him, and to announce this gift, he brings out tonight's special guest: himself. Miz announces that he is the host of this year's WrestleMania and proclaims it will be bigger than the Grammys and the Oscars, and that this year's WrestleMania will go viral. He runs down the card so far for this year's event, then Seth "Freakin'" Rollins shows up. Miz angrily asks Rollins what he is doing here, and Rollins laughs before congratulating him and saying he is not here to rain on his parade, but Miz says Rollins has done exactly that for the last three weeks. Rollins says he only stomped him because he was being a bit of a jerk and "being a bit of a b-hole." Miz says he is an A-type of person, not a B-type, and when Rollins asks if Miz is admitting he is an "A-hole," Miz says that is not what he meant. Rollins then says he has a favor to ask of him, as he has been trying to get a hold of Logan Paul and it has been proven difficult, and thinks Miz might have better success calling him as he knows him better. Miz declines, saying Logan Paul is Rollins' problem, not his. As he calls Rollins "a goofball in a stupid jacket," Rollins superkicks him. Rollins then notices Miz's cellphone and takes a picture of The Miz with it before tossing a chair out of the ring before getting a hold of Logan Paul and asking how Jake Paul is doing before proposing that Logan face him on Raw next week. Logan says they have a deal and that he would love to see him run his mouth, then Rollins says "Bye bye, bitch!" before hanging up on him. As Rollins leaves, he notices The Miz trying to get up, and he hits Miz with The Stomp.



Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Damage CTRL (Bayley, Dakota Kai, Iyo Sky). Bayley says she is glad Becky Lynch and Lita are confident, as Damage CTRL has been everywhere and proving that nobody is a match for them. She then says this is more about championships, but also about their story. After Damage CTRL shows up, Austin Theory shows up and says everyone is talking about John Cena, not him, and that the fans only like his image of hustle, loyalty and respect when he is the image of it. He then says that he respects Cena and that he will look Cena in the eye and give him the respect he deserves, and all he asks is that Cena give him the same treatment.



Bobby Lashley beats Elias with the Hurt Lock as Rick Boogs is taking notes on the match backstage. After the match, Lashley says that he is not in a good mood right now, because he owned Brock Lesnar at Elimination Chamber and Lesnar resorted to a low blow. He says that he wants more of Lesnar, but instead, he gets Bray Wyatt and his "kid games." Lashley says he does not play "little kid games," and warns Bray to keep his name out of his mouth, or else he will hurt him. As Lashley leaves, Bray Wyatt shows up on the TitanTron and does the Muscle Man Dance as images of Lashley are shown throughout. Bray then warns Lashley that he should run.





Backstage, Chelsea Green is complaining to WWE official Adam Pearce about Ottawa, Illinois, then Carmella shows up. Pearce puts Carmella in a match with Bianca Belair next week, then takes a phone call and leaves. Afterwards, Chelsea and Carmella get to know each other.



Johnny Gargano beats Otis after Dexter Lumis saves him from Mace and Mansoor.



Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Paul Heyman. Heyman says this is his favorite time of the year where the ante keeps getting upped, and that "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes is going to crash the gates of the island of relevancy only to be confronted by Roman Reigns.

WrestleMania 39 is 33 days away!

Becky Lynch and Lita beat Damage CTRL (Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky) to become the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions after Trish Stratus shows up and attacks Bayley to even the numbers game.

Emi Sakura beats Rachelle Riveter.

The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) beat "Poppin'" EJ Sparks and Aguila Aguirre.

Diamante, "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose, and "The Problem" Marina Shafir beat Mazzerati, Miss May and Brittnie Brooks in a trios match. Miss May runs away near the end of the match when it becomes obvious her team is not winning.

Powerhouse Hobbs beats Daniel Evans.

Before the next match, Ethan Page says he loves teaming with Matt Hardy, especially when he has embraced him as a teammate and friend. Matt hardy says Ethan Page is misunderstood, but he is having the time of his life and that he will handle business on Dynamite. He then says it is time to party. Stokley Hathaway then says he is happy that Hook isn't here, then Isiah Kassidy gets the crowd hyped up.

"All Ego" Ethan Page, Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy beat Ice Williams, Braxton and Watson in a trios match.

Athena beats Daniella Kamela in a Ring of Honor Women's World Championship Eliminator Match, then slams her head-first into the ROH Women's World Championship and mockingly shakes her hand after the match.

Konosuke Takeshita beats "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling recap for February 26, 2023

Levi Shapiro and Rob McKnight beat El Primohenio Tribeca and Lord Crewe in a Loser Leaves Town Match. As per pre-match stipulation, Lord Crewe has to leave Championship Wrestling. (Had Lord Crewe and El Primohenio Tribeca won, Rob McKnight would have had to leave.



Backstage, Megan Harmon interviews "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. Zicky says he is the United Wrestling Network and that the fans do not remember that. He says he is hungry and starving, then asks Willie Mack if he is hungry before saying that Willie has eaten and has gotten complacent. He says that tonight, he is going to eat a lot of "Chocolate Thunder."

Danny Limelight heads to the ring. Limelight talks about how he made Jordan Clearwater tap out to become United World Champion and how he stood toe-to-toe with Eddie Kingston and was pushed to his limit. He then says that he has Clark Connors next week, and he also has the #1 contender in Bad Dude Tito and the Red Carpet Rumble winner in Invictus Khash, and he must stay focused, for as long as he is champion, everyone will want a piece of him. Limelight says that after he beats Clark Connors, they can bring anybody, and they will still tap. He then states that he will take on all challengers, and that he is United World Champion and there is nothing anybody can do about it.



J-Rod beats Candy Girl in her Championship Wrestling debut.



Sledge beats "Poppin'" EJ Sparks. After the match, Bateman shows up, and Sledge leaves the ring after telling him that EJ Sparks is all his. Bateman helps Sparks up and raises his hand before hitting him with the brainbuster. "Pretty" Peter Avalon then shows up as Bateman hits Sparks with the Death From Above, then checks on Sparks.



Backstage, The Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) run into Jonny Loquasto. Loquasto congratulate them on becoming three-time United World Tag Team Champions, and as he mentions the controversy behind their win, Bad Dude Tito shows up and mentions his credentials before Flex McCalleon states that he and Richie Slade have yet to get their championship rematch. Jonny Loquasto announces that in two weeks, The Wolf Zaddies (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito) and Beef Candy (Flex McCalleon and Richie Slade) take on The Midnight Heat and The Institution ("Benevolent" Jack Banning, Divine, Freeman, Honest).

"Outlandish" Zicky Dice beats Willie Mack after putting his hands on the referee to pull himself before running into the ropes to knock Willie Mack off the top rope and hitting the High Roller for the win.

Super Bout 2, Part 1 - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 25, 2023

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Ray Collins. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Brett Michaels at the announce desk. Brett tells K-Toomer that he has finally earned something in this business, and in two weeks, he will beat him and walk away with the Memphis Heritage Championship. K-Toomer then shows up. K-Toomer says Brett earned everything that has been coming to him after 20 years and that the Heritage title has been synonymous with him. He then says that he is stepping up and that this is his time. K-Toomer then tells Brett to be on his A-game, as he wants to beat Brett at his best.



King Cobra brings out the Cobra Cup before the next match.

Before the next match, Reverend Ash Taylor shows up and says that even the most righteous stray from the path, and when that happens, someone has to take charge. He then says he has to take care of business, and enters the ring. He tells the referee that he is not needed, then proposes to "Big Trouble" Ben Bishop a position on the righteous path as his second and the person that he relies on. He hands Bishop a pamphlet, which Bishop rips up. Ash Taylor hits Bishop in the back with his book, and it has no effect. Ben Bishop goes to town on the man, then hits him with the Meat Pop Drop and pins him to win the Cobra Cup Tournament and win the Cobra Cup. After the match, Ben Bishop is awarded the Cobra Cup. He thanks King Cobra, then says that there is a new legend in Memphis and that it is him.



Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique at the announce desk. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock says Mackenzie Morgan is making false allegations when she says that "Dirty" Diana Taylor attacked her, and now wants to jump on him. He says that she should be glad that he has never hit a woman, as he would have knocked her out. He then says that "Dirty" Diana Taylor will take care of Mackenzie Morgan, and promises that Diana Taylor will win and that "that stinkin' hussy" has had it.



Mackenzie Morgan beats "Dirty" Diana Taylor to become #1 contender for the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship after "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock inadvertently hits Diana in the eye with his cane.



Backstage, Matt Williams talks with Storybook Prince Gaston. He is embarrassed that they lost to Mackenzie Morgan's team, and Gaston says that their opponents were three times larger than the women in Memphis. As he says that Ellsworth wants Mackenzie, Nyxx and Cassandra Golden taken care, Gaston gets a call from James Ellsworth. He tells Ellsworth that they have a plan to take care of them and that they think Ellsworth will love it.



We hear from Uncle Mikey, who says that if Brad Skimahorn wants to involve more family members in their feud, then so will he. Mike says that he is no longer asking for forgiveness, and that he will see Brad next week.



"The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts beats Zay Washington in a match where Big Dan is handcuffed to Justin Case. Shortly after the beginning, Aaron Roberts hits Big Dan with a chop, and that allows Justin Case to find the handcuff key and cuff Big Dan to the ring post. Dan manages to free himself and cuff Justin Case to the bottom rope. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Aaron Roberts and Justin Case. Justin tells Dustin that he can be next, and Roberts says he is not ashamed because he is standing on top, and that he is coming for the Memphis Heritage Championship. Justin Case says they can line them up, and Roberts can knock them down.

They're On A Rampage - Rampage recap for February 24, 2023



Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) beat Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis) despite the lights going off and on near the end of the match. After the match, the lights go off and on again, and this time, The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, Buddy Matthews, Julia Hart) surrounds the ring while Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks are in it. The lights then go off and on again, and The House of Black disappears.



Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Beretta). Suddenly, Lee Moriarty and Big Bill attack Taylor and Beretta, and The Gunns join in with a pipe. After the commercial, Danhausen and Orange Cassidy find out from referee Bryce Remsburg what happened.

Toni Storm beats Willow Nightingale. After the match, Saraya and Toni are about to tag Willow, but Ruby Soho runs into the ring and chases them out. As Toni and Saraya run, they are headed off by Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter, and Hayter gets her hands on Saraya.

In backstage footage from this week's Dynamite, Lexy Nair interviews The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster, Anthony Bowens, "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn). Bowens says they have gotten a lot of big wins and that they are not scared of Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal, and Max Caster says they will have no trouble with them. As "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn mentions Satnam Singh, he is attacked by Satnam Singh, and Lethal and Jarrett go on the attack while Sonjay Dutt digs his pencil into Max Caster's eye.

We hear from Jade Cargill, who says that there is nobody left and that she is welcoming competition from everywhere, as she has been the star of the women's division for over a year and everyone's favorites should be begging her for a match.

Lance Archer beats Bryce Saturn in his first AEW match in 2023.

We see a video package for "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes and Keith Lee vs. The Mogul Affiliates (Swerve Strickland, Parker Boudreaux, Trench) next week.

Mark Henry interviews Action Andretti, Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia. Garcia says the disrespect of Guevara has gone too far, and he will make it his mission that Guevara gets the respect he deserves. Andretti says he is right about Guevera, but when he gave Guevara a beatdown, Guevara proved he is a coward. He then says he will prove that he is the real deal and the sight to see when it becomes all action and no words.

We hear from Stokely Hathaway, who says that Hook is back because of him, and next week, Matt Hardy will face Hook. Matt Hardy says he has a Twist of Fate with Hook's name on it.

Sammy Guevara beats Action Andretti after Daniel Garcia attacks Andretti on the outside behind the referee's back.

"The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw beats "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo after Jai Vidal gets on the apron and Savannah Evans runs in to hit Deonna with the full nelson slam. Afterwards, Savannah Evans raises Gisele's hand along with Jai Vidal.

Jonathan Gresham beats "Speedball" Mike Bailey.

Director of Authority Santino Marella heads to the ring. He welcomes everyone to tonight's show, then introduces his first acquisition as Director of Authority, Frankie Kazarian. He then guests on commentary for the next match.

Frankie Kazarian beats Kon after Callihan accidentally hits Kon in the back with a chair.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Brian Myers. Myers says he has been studying four-way matches all week and he is going out to do what he does best. He says he has refocused and that it is time to become Impact World Champion. When asked about any updates on Matt Cardona, he says that Joe Hendry humiliated Cardona and that he hopes Moose returns the favor.

The Death Dollz (Taya Valkyrie and Jessicka) retain the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Championships against The Hex (Allysin Kay and Marti Belle).

Before the next match, Joe Hnedry says there are a lot of sins going on in Las Vegas, Nevada, then says that the only sin one should worry about is not believing in Joe Hendry.

Joe Hendry retains the Impact Wrestling Digital Media Championship against Moose in a Dot Combat Match that sees the use of a European Sega Dreamcast (seriously) and a VR headset.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Mickie James. Mickie says that she has a lot on her plate and that Jordynne Grace is telling anyone who will listen that she made her tap out. She says that she cannot wait to prove that she can beat Jordynne, but tonight, she has to face Masha Slamovich. She says "The Last Rodeo" may be over, but her reign as Knockouts Champion has just begun.

Dave LaGreca heads to the ring to host a live edition of Busted Open Radio. He says that Sirius XM and Impact Wrestling have both asked him to be here tonight, then says that things have gotten heated and that there will be an open forum where Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer will have sixty uninterrupted seconds each to air the grievances between them, with Bully Ray speaking first. Dreamer is introduced first, followed by Bully. Bully simply says to Dreamer "I'm sorry," which is exactly how his sixty seconds are spent. Dreamer says this has gone further than a simple apology and expects The Good Hands to put him through a podium, then chews out Bully Ray for making fun of his mother while she was fighting for her life in the hospital. Bully Ray says a time restraint is not needed, then agrees that things have gone too far and too deep, and offers to talk if they get rid of the time restraint. He apologizes for making fun of Dreamer's mother, especially when she was always awesome to him. He then says that he watched a documentary about the nWo and heard Kevin Nash talk about Scott Hall and how Nash cried because he had to do the documentary without Scott being there. He says that they are as close, if not closer, than Nash and Hall and thought about what would happen if something happened to one of them. He says that if one has an issue with a loved one, it is better to work it out than to look at their dead body in a coffin, as regret is one of the worst things to live with. Bully says that if something were to happen to Dreamer, he would be at his funeral and would probably carry his casket, and that Dreamer would do the same for him. He says life is too short, and for the benefit of Impact, Busted Open Radio and their friendship, he would rather stay on good terms with him, because he does not want to be in a situation where if one of his friends died, he did not make amends with them. Dreamer says this has gone way too far and that they should go their own way. He says he is proud of Bully for even saying what he said, as difficult as it was for someone like Bully to say that, and that it did not have to get to this point. Bully Ray then throws coffee into Dreamer's face, then back LaGreca into the corner before hitting Dreamer with a pot of coffee while repeatedly "Somebody like me?!?" He asks what that statement even means, then asks Dreamer if he knows who he is. Bully Ray then kicks the podium.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Rich Swann. Swann says tonight is the night that he finally let his charisma, raw talent and athleticism shine through, as he finally has an opportunity at "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander and the World Championship. Steve Maclin shows up and says he is here to wish him luck, because he will have to face him at Rebellion if he wins the world title tonight. He says he has beaten Swann once and can do it again, but Swann chalks it up to Swann trying to take him off his game and states that he has to focus on the World Championship while Maclin has to focus on facing three other men to become #1 contender, which only gives him more motivation to win the World Champion and beat him at Rebellion.

Steve Maclin beats Heath, Brian Myers and PCO in a four-way match to become #1 contender for the Impact Wrestling World Championship after Eddie Edwards shows up and hits PCO with a shovel. After the match, Trey Miguel shows up. He says that while tonight's show continues to be occupied by people who are fighting to be champions, he is not even on the card. He says that Director of Authority Santino Marella and everyone in the back has forgotten about him, and says this would not have happened to "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Chris Sabin, or Frankie Kazarian. He says that this is about his legacy and that it is time people put respect on his name, and that he proved himself a generational champion when he beat Crazzy Steve earlier in the week in a Monster's Ball Match. He says he would slay PCO if it didn't look somebody already did, and PCO gets up, choke slams Trey, then choke slams him.

Bullet Club ("The Inevitable" Ace Austin, Chris Bey, KENTA) beat Time Machine (Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, KUSHIDA).

Mickie James retains the Impact Wrestling Knockouts World Championship against Masha Slamovich after pinning Masha's shoulders down as Masha goes for a monkey flip in the corner.

Myles says they are both excited and optimistic going into this, and even though they have never tagged together, even the best have had their worst nights. Tank says people think they are not the most compatible, but they are both underdogs who have proved themselves night after night. Myles says that they are headhunters and that they are hungry, but Tank says they are not just hungry, but starving, and they are both "10 out of 10, good looking dudes." He says they can feel it, and soon, so will the fans.

Sol Ruca beats Lola Vice.



Tavion Heights and Damon Kemp beat Myles Borne and Tank Ledger.



Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for February 24, 2023



Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Jimmy Uso. Jimmy says he has not spoken with Jey Uso yet and that he cannot get a hold of him, but has told him that he can meet him in the middle of the ring tonight to get things off his chest.

Imperium (Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, Giovanni Vinci) beats Braun Strowman, Ricochet and Madcap Moss. During the match, Drew McIntyre watches from the ramp. After the match, McIntyre takes off his jacket, but he is attacked from behind by The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik). Sheamus runs out to even the odds, but it takes Braun Strowman and Ricochet jumping in to take out the Raiders. McIntyre and Sheamus soon boot The Viking Raiders over the barricade.





Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Rey Mysterio. Rey says he will put an end to Karrion Kross once and for all when Santos Escobar shows up. He says that both of their families value respect, and that he wants to show the fans how much he respects Rey. Rey says it is a mutual feeling, then Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley show up, and Dominik asks Escobar how long he will kiss up to Rey after Kross destroys him. Escobar says that if he will not respect his father, he will show him. Dominik says that in prison, those who didn't back their words up got dealt with, then Rhea Ripley gets in Escobar's face before she and Dominik leave. Escobar tells Rey not to let Dominik get to him, but Rey reminds Escobar that Dominik is his own son.



Backstage, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso talk. Jimmy tells Solo that he knew Jey Uso would be there for them, but now things feel different after Elimination Chamber and Jey may be spooked. Paul Heyman says that Solo Sikoa will stay with him while Jimmy Uso personally handles things with Jey in the ring.



LA Knight heads to the ring. Knight says everyone is talking about having a WrestleMania moment, then says he is here to make money, win titles and be recognized as the best, and to do that, he has to head to WrestleMania. He then says he is not having a WrestleMania moment, as one cannot have "an L.A. WrestleMania" without LA Knight and that he will give WrestleMania "an LA Knight moment." Suddenly, The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) show up. Kofi says LA Knight has only been on SmackDown for two-and-a-half months and is not in the position to demand anything. Knight says he does not remember inviting them out here, and says that if they were not busy with their video games, they would realize who they are looking at. Woods says being nerds have made them "a hell of a lot of money," then says Knight loves hand-outs given the fake leather he is wearing right now before stating that WrestleMania moments are earned, like when Kofi Kingston became WWE Champion. Knight says that the circumstances that he creates are advantageous to him, then asks Kofi how the "KofiMania thing" worked out for him. Kofi says it worked out all right, then says he will not wait to shut LA Knight up. Knight chuckles, then takes his as a challenge, and Xavier Woods asks WWE official Adam Pearce to send a referee to the ring if he has made it official. A referee appears, and a match begins.



Kofi Kingston beats LA Knight after Knight attacks Xavier Woods on the outside only for Woods to distract him with his trombone later on so that Kofi can hit Trouble In Paradise for the win.



Charlotte Flair heads to the ring. She says that Rhea Ripley loves to run her mouth on Raw and cannot wait to see what she has to say to her face before calling Rhea out. When Rhea does not show up right away, Charlotte says she smells hesitation. As Charlotte says it is okay for Rhea to have second thoughts about challenging her, Dominik Mysterio says up and says he will not let Charlotte run Rhea down. Charlotte says this is adult time and tells Dominik to bring Rhea out, but Dominik says Rhea is the hottest thing in WWE right now and no other woman has entered the Royal Rumble at #1 and won it all. Dominik then says that Charlotte should smile more often, as the female gender is "the softer sex," then talks about how strong Rhea is before Charlotte says that she has Andrade el Idolo at home. Dominik says he just wanted to chat, especially when they are the children of past WWE Superstars, then calls Rey Mysterio a deadbeat dad who was never there for him and messed him up and compared Rey to Ric Flair. He then says that when Rhea Ripley beats Charlotte, Charlotte will realized that her father Ric Flair was right and that she is not good enough. Charlotte says she loves her dad, unlike Dominik, and says Ric can still go and kick Dominik's butt. She then says he would do that if he were her, then entertains beating up Dominik before Rhea Ripley shows up. Rhea confronts Charlotte, then Dominik holds Rhea back while Charlotte just stands there and waves goodbye at Rhea before lifting up the SmackDown Women's title. Rhea confronts Charlotte again, but once again, Charlotte is not intimidated.



"The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler beats Natalya with a cross arm breaker following the distraction from "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey. After the match, Baszler boots Tegan Nox off the apron, but when Ronda and Baszler gang up on Natalya, Nox drop kicks Ronda, and Ronda and Baszler escape, with Ronda threatening to beat up Tegan Nox next week.



It's time for Firefly Fun House. The Fun House lights turn red, and we see an action figure fight on the television followed by Bray Wyatt watching what is going on behind the scene before the show transitions to "FFN." Uncle Howdy hosts the weather by stating "I am all of us," then Bray Wyatt hosts a show called "Can You Keep A Secret." Bray Wyatt then asks "Well, Can ya." We then see an emergency broadcast system followed by weird visuals at the Fun House front door. We then see someone in a Uncle Howdy mask say "If I told a story, can you keep a secret?"



Backstage, Paul Heyman shows Jimmy Uso a text from Roman Reigns stating that he will be live at SmackDown next week and that if Jimmy does not handle Jey Uso this week, he will handle him personally next week.



Karrion Kross beats Rey Mysterio with the Kross Jacket after Rey unknowingly flips Scarlett over the top rope during the 619 and Dominik Mysterio blocks the Tiger Feint Kick and dares Rey to hit him. After the match, Dominik dares Rey to hit him again, and Dominik pushes Rey enough to confront him, but not hit him. Dominik keeps pushing Rey further, but Rey leaves the ring.





Jimmy Uso heads to the ring. Jimmy says that if Jey Uso is not here, then he is watching somewhere. he says that he knows he is torn and hurt, and when Jey is torn and hurt, so is he, and he will always be there for him like Jey has been there for him. He says that he knows things have been going on as he appeals to Jey. All of a sudden, Sami Zayn shows up in all black, and tells Jimmy that he is not here to fight; instead, he is here to talk to him. He says that when Jimmy calls Jey a brother, it hurts him, as they used to be brothers and have each others' back, especially when the rest of The Bloodline did not see value in him. Sami then says that at Royal Rumble, Jimmy did not even think twice and took him down with no hesitation, and that it hurt. Jimmy says Sami is selfish and wants to blame him when he made the choice to step on him and Jey, and that Sami made the choice and he did what he had to do. Jimmy says family does not betray, but Sami says that family does not put your loyalty to the test every single test or manipulate people like Roman has done for years. Suddenly, Jey Uso shows up in the crowd. Sami says The Bloodline is not about one man, and while he wants The Bloodline to come crumbling down, Jimmy does not have to go down with the ship. As Sami sees Jey, Jimmy attacks Sami. Jey Uso then heads towards the ring, and Sami soon hits Jimmy with the Helluva Kick as Jimmy looks back at his brother. Sami then sees Solo Sikoa approaching the ring, and leaves through the crowd.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for February 23, 2023



Kevin Knight beats Jack Prince in the BTI match.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) beat "Speedball" Mike Bailey and Jonathan Gresham after Gresham inadvertently hits Speedball with a running forearm.



We see a video package for Rich Swann vs. "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander for the Impact Wrestling World Championship at No Surrender.

We hear from "The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo. Purrazzo says "The Quintessential Diva" Gisele Shaw has admitted that she is the problem in every team she has been involved in, then says she does her talking in the ring and that Gisele will find out that the best revenge for Chelsea Green not being in Impact anymore is a broken arm.

Before the next match, John Skyler says the fans should ask what happens when Jason Hotch connects with one good hand and Tommy Dreamer does not win at all tonight.

Tommy Dreamer beats Jason Hotch in one minute and fifteen seconds (1:15) in a Beat The Clock Challenge with an avalanche Death Valley Driver.

In footage from the venue at earlier today, Joe Hendry hosts a meet-and-greet. Everyone - including Hendry - believes that Hendry will beat Moose at No Surrender.

Allysin Kay beats Taya Valkyrie following the distraction by Marti Bell.

Backstage after a contract signing with Director of Authority Santino Marella, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander tells Rich Swann there is no need to apologize for inadvertently hitting him last week, saying he does not have it in him. Swann is surprised by him saying that, saying he still has it in him and that it took everything to get to where he is now. Swann tells Alexander that he hopes he knows that he is coming into a fight, as he is expecting a fight from Alexander over the Impact World Championship, as it has been two years since he has had a title opportunity. He says he will bust his ass, and when he wins, it will not be because Alexander took his eye off the ball, but because he has it in him. Steve Maclin then shows up and says he is winning the #1 contender's match and that he does not care who has the title. When Maclin calls Swann a choke artist, Swann attacks him, and security has to break them apart.

Yuya Uemura and Frankie Kazarian beat The Design (Deaner and Callihan) after Deaner leaves Callihan high and dry to see if he can survive on his own.



We see a video package for Jordynne Grace vs. Mickie James in a rematch for the Impact Wrestling Knockouts World Championship, which also addresses what is going on between Mickie and Masha Slamovich.

Backstage, Callihan wants Deaner to explain what happened earlier in the ring. Deaner says Step 5 explains that The Design is a covenant, not a contract, and that Step 5 is also about maintaining loyalty to The Design. When asked if he will still be loyal to The Design, Callihan says yes. Deaner says this is the right choice and that Callihan has made it further than he thought he would, then tells him he still has two deadly steps left. Deaner then tells Callihan that The Design chooses him, not the other way around.

Bully Ray beats Bhupinder Gujjar in a Beat The Clock Challenge in thirty seconds after The Good Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) try to attack Gujjar and distract the referee so that Bully Ray can hit Gujjar with a fist with his chain wrapped around it. Bully Ray gets to speak first in the live edition of Busted Open Radio at No Surrender. Celebrity chef Robert Irvine is seen in the front row during Bully Ray's entrance.



Backstage, Tommy Dreamer meets with Bhupinder Gujjar. Gujjar says he let Dreamer down, but Dreamer tells him to learn from his mistakes and get back up and keep fighting and make himself great, for he has greatness in him.

Trey Miguel retains the Impact Wrestling X Division Championship against Crazzy Steve in a Monster's Ball Match after planting Steve through a barbed wire board.

Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for February 22, 2023

Orange Cassidy retains the AEW All-Atlantic Championship against Wheeler Yuta. After the match, Orange Cassidy helps Wheeler Yuta up for the Blackpool Combat Club, and Claudio Castagnoli comes back after having slapped . Wheeler Yuta walks away.



Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Evil Uno and "Hangman" Adam Page. Evil Uno tells Adam Page that he takes Page's refusal of their help as saying The Dark Order is not on his level. He then tells him not to get involved in his match, as it is time for The Dark Order to stand up for themselves. Evil Uno then says Jon Moxley will find out why he is called Evil Uno.

"Absolute" Ricky Starks heads to the ring. He says it is no secret that for the past few months, he has dealt with interference form The Jericho Appreciation Society, and it is clear that Chris Jericho does not want a rematch against him. Starks says he accepts that rematch will not happen and that he will move on from Chris Jericho, then pulls out an open contract for an open challenge for a match against him at Revolution and says somebody wants to be on the show and face him. Chris Jericho shows up and says Starks is trying to bait him into another match and that Starks is not done with him until he says so. He tells Starks that his win against him was the highlight of his career and will not happen again. He also says that their rematch will not happen because Starks is not on his level, then wishes Starks luck on the open challenge before "Pretty" Peter Avalon shows up to answer the open challenge. Jericho then hits Avalon with the Judas Effect. Jericho then gets in the ring, tells a fan to shut up, then says that if Starks wants him so badly when Revolution should have him, then he should sign the open contract and beat Starks again. Starks says he knows Jericho will bring out The Society to interfere again, then mentions that Jericho became AEW World Champion all of his own and doubts Jericho's ability to beat him all by himself. When Jericho confronts Starks for questioning his ability, Starks tells Jericho that he genuinely believes he can beat him. Jericho says he can beat Starks because he is Jericho as he takes the contract, and even says he would sign the contract and bar The Society from ringside right now. Jericho then says he does not have a pen, to which Starks responds "Damn...I do." He then pulls a pen out from his jacket pocket, then Jericho takes it, presses the button the top of it to dramatic effect, and signs the contract while adding the addendum. He then tells Starks to be careful what he wishes for, as nobody outsmarts "The Ocho." Starks then looks into the camera and smiles.



We see a video package for the Revolution Tag Team Battle Royal.

The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) beat The Firm (Big Bill and Lee Moriarty) despite The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) showing up to attack "Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn.



Tony Schiavone interviews Christian Cage on the stage. Right after Christian appears, however, he is attacked from behind by "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry. Jungle Boy then produces two chairs from the back for a Con-Chair-To. He hesitates, but before he can do it, Christian hits him with a low bow and hits him with one of the chairs. Christian then rams the head of a downed Jungle Boy on the chair repeatedly, and referees have to check on Jungle Boy while telling Christian to back off.



Saraya beats Skye Blue with the P.T.O. After the match, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Jamie Hayter run into the ring before Toni and Saraya can spray paint Skye Blue. As Toni Storm and Saraya try to run away, Ruby Soho shows up and tells Jamie Hayter she wants the AEW Women's World Championship.



"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson heads to the ring. Danielson says he will do everything to beat MJF at Revolution for the AEW World Championship, then focuses on MJF saying that he hates him last week. He says that MJF tried to break the arm of a friends' arm, put a bounty on his head and hospitalized William Regal, and yet he is the man MJF hates. MJF says he knows who Danielson is and who he himself is, then says he has been stranded from anyone he has gotten close to, thrown away by people who loved him, and met a girl who convinced him that not all people are bad only to leave him. He says she left him because he is unlovable, and the only thing he can trust and gives him love is the "Triple B" and the only thing keeping him from grabbing a fistful of pills and calling it a day. MJF then says that instead, everyone looks up to Danielson, who he says has a family - which he will never have - that he takes for granted, and says he hates Danielson not because of his skill, but because he is still in his sport. He says that every time Danielson gets in the ring, it states that he considers wrestling more importantly than family, then calls it a spit in the face to everything he takes for granted. He then says that he is worse than Regal and still wanting the spotlight, then says he will give him that spotlight when he punishes him for trying to take the one thing he has left in his life as well as what he has taken for granted. MJF then prepares to address Danielson's two kids, and Danielson threatens to kick the shit out of MJF if he does it. MJF then tells Danielson's kids that he will "make Dada pay for all his selfishness" by ripping his arm out of his socket so he cannot play with them again. He says that for one hour straight, he will make sure their father will never be able to pick them up again as he punches him over and over before he gives them the gift of early onset CTE. Danielson then punches MJF and proceeds to attack him, and security has to break up the brawl. Other members of the backstage crew also have to jump in.



Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. and Jamie Hayter. Hayter says they are getting pissed because Saraya is getting too big for her britches for her liking and trying to ruin what they have created. She says that Ruby Soho may be worthy of a title shot, but she is ruining everything from the ground up. She then says that Ruby Soho is also worthy of a title shot and has proven herself as of late. Hayter then makes her match for the Women's World Championship at Revolution a Triple Threat Match so she can beat both Saraya and Ruby Soho.

Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal win the Revolution Tag Team Battle Royal after Jarrett last eliminates Trent Beretta to earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Revolution.



We hear from Malakai Black, who says that there is a problem within AEW that The House of Black (Malakai Black, Brody King, Buddy Matthews, Julia Hart) needs to address so that voices can be heard. Brody King and Julia Hart show up, and Brody says they will bring a firestorm to AEW and leave the foundation of a cinder built to last. Buddy Matthews then shows up and says that this Friday, they will meet The Elite face-to-face regarding their status as Trios Champions.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Tony Khan, who lets Adam Cole make his announcement. Adam Cole says the day to tell more of his story has come, and next month, there will be a weekly, one-hour television series called "AEW: All Access" after Dynamite where you get to get a behind-the-scenes look at Dynamite. Adam Cole says he hopes to share his story about his return to AEW. He then announces that on the night All Access debuts, he will make his in-ring return. Cole says he has imagined this day coming, and now that it is close, he hopes to be the best Adam Cole he can be and he hopes the roster is ready.

We hear from Sonjay Dutt, Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh. As Sonjay Dutt celebrates, The Gunns show up and propose they take care of each others' business to make their tag team title match one-on-one.

Jon Moxley beats a bloody Evil Uno with a rear naked choke. After the match, Alex Reynolds and John Silver go after Moxley only for Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta to head them off, then "Hangman" Adam page runs in and beats up Moxley with barbed wire around his right hand. Page makes Moxley bleed in the process, and when he goes for the Buckshot Lariat, Moxley retreats.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for February 21, 2023

Before the next match, Trick Williams says he is here tonight to prove he can do more than just talk and back up everything he says, then says nothing Ilja Dragunov can do will stop him from beating him into oblivion. He says that he is glad pain makes Dragunov feel alive, because he will be on cloud nine following the ass-whupping he is about to give him.

Ilja Dragunov beats Trick Williams. During the match, JD McDonagh shows up as Dragunov is down on the outside, and guests on commentary.



We hear from Jinder Mahal, who says that he waited to take on Bron Breakker because timing is everything. He says the weight on Bron's shoulders is getting heavier and the boos are getting louder, and that Bron is falling into the same trap from last year. Jinder says he will be the one to spoil Bron's plans this year, and that there will be shocked faces in the crowd tonight just like when he won the WWE Championship.

Backstage, Fallon Henley tries to call Brooks Jensen to no avail. Josh Briggs tells Fallon that she ruined the big night not just for Brooks, but for Kiana James. Fallon tells Briggs she will apologize to Kiana in person.

In WWE Performance Center footage from earlier this week, Meiko Satomura wants to see how well everyone can survive her training. Roxanne Perez is the only one left after sit-ups, push-ups, partner carrying and a thousand squats. Meiko says this was just a warm-up.

Tyler Bate heads to the ring. Tyler thanks the fans for their love and support on his journey so far and says it has given him a passion for wrestling that he has never even imagined, and while he came up short at times, some things happen for a reason. He then says he and the fans are about to embark on a mystical journey together, then The Schism (Joe Gacy, Rip Fowler, Jagger Reid, Ava Raine) shows up. Joe Gacy says The Schism could not help but hear what Tyler has to say and that he and Tyler are kindred spirits and forward speakers. Tyler says he is not interested in drinking the Flavor-Aid. Ava Raine says they may be kindred spirits, but not always, and Gacy tells Tyler he needs to be careful about who he surrounds himself on his journey. Gacy says The Schism is true family and that Tyler left his behind back home, then says The Schism gave Thea Hail a glimpse of life with them and says that Tyler is next. As The Schism surrounds the ring, Andre Chase, Duke Hudson and Thea Hail charge the ring.



The Dyad (Rip Folwer and Jagger Reid) beat Andre Chase and Duke Hudson after Ava Raine distracts Andre Chase while approaching Thea Hail. After the match, Duke Hudson screams to Andre Chase "You have to let her grow up" regarding Thea Hail, and asks "Is this a university or a charity?"



Backstage, Mr. Stone is talking with Von Wagner when Tony D'Angelo and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo confront them over costing them a North American Championship title shot. Von Wagner refuses to fight them at first, but after more insults, Von Wagner accepts D'Angelo's challenge. Mr. Stone tells Von Wagner that he is playing into D'Angelo's hand and D'Angelo and Stacks leave, but Von Wagner tells Stone to shut up.

Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Drew Gulak and Charlie Dempsey. Gulak says Hank Walker is the kind of guy who wants something, but did not get it, and he is not here to hand out participation trophies. He says Walker is a nice guy and that one cannot be afraid to rip off limbs and ligaments or step on throats, which describes Charlie Dempsey.



We hear from Sol Ruca, who says that the women's division is unpredictable but fun like everything else in life before talking about the enjoyment of trying something new until she succeeds. She says that she wants another match with Zoey Stark because she will eventually land a flip or trick and she will eventually beat Zoey.



Jacy Jayne beats Indi Hartwell by disqualification after Gigi Dolin runs into the ring and attacks Jacy Jayne. Gigi and Jacy brawl their way to the back.



Roxanne Perez and Meiko Satomura continue to train in Performance Center footage from earlier this week. Meiko Satomura says victory come from the heart, not from the muscles, then tells Roxanne that she will see her in two weeks.



Backstage, Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Zoey Stark, who says that she is done with Sol Ruca before stating that Meiko Satomura has a women's title shot because Roxanne Perez is a fan of hers, then says it is her match. She also says that everyone in the women's division kisses Satomura's ass to get her respect, and says that if Satomura steps into the ring with her, she will show her who the real final boss is.



Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) beat Malik Blade and Edris Enofe. During the match, two men show up with a cake with the words "Happy Anniversary" on it. After the match, the two men with the cake congratulate Gallus on losing the NXT UK Tag Team Championships to Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson and Elton Prince) two years ago, then Gallus attack the two men while sending them face-first into the cake. Afterwards, Pretty Deadly attack Gallus from behind with chairs before sending them into the ring steps while proclaiming that the tag team division is theirs.



We hear from Dabba-Kato, who says that Apollo Crews has spent the last eight years focused on his future that he forgot about his past, and says that he was there for his biggest moments. Dabba-Kato says he is now here to hurt Apollo Crews, and while Crews brought him into this world, he will be the one to take Apollo out of it.



We hear from Stevie Turner, who says that she is excited for WrestleMania season before debuting the Roster Randomizer. The randomizer lands on Lyra Valkyria, and Stevie Turner fields questions from fans about Lyra. When asked how far Lyra will go, Stevie says Lyra is talented, but she will have to cross paths with her and she will be no match for her forward thinking.



Tony D'Angelo beats Von Wagner. After the match, Kelly Kincaid interviews Tony D'Angelo. D'Angelo comments Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo for being loyal to family, then says Dijak knows nothing about loyalty and that it is time to put an end to things between himself and Dijak. To do that, he will handle things in the ring, and challenges Dijak to one more match in a Jailhouse Street Fight at NXT Roadblock. He says that he will put Dijak in solitary confinement when all is said and done, then tells him he has seven days and not to let him find him.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Nikkita Lyons. Nikkita says she will be back within a year, and that she does not remember who attacked her. Tiffany Stratton shows up and calls the interview a waste of time and that the focus should be on her, then says Nikkita should vanish from NXT for a year.



Backstage, Ivy Nile tells Tatum Paxley not to let Isla Dawn get to her and that they are a team before heading to the ring.

Backstage, Carmelo Hayes praises Trick Williams for holding his own about Ilja Dragunov, then says he must watch the main event. Suddenly, Tyler Bate shows up and gives some advice to Trick, saying "good timber does not grow with ease" and that "the stronger the storm, the stronger the tree."Carmelo Hayes then says he respects Tyler Bate, then says that he knows himself and that it is fortunate that Tyler Bate's journey does not involve the NXT Championship.



Alba Fyre beats Ivy Nile after backing Ivy Nile into Tatum Paxley, knocking Tatum Paxley off the apron before laying Ivy out for the win.



Fallon Henley meets Kiana James at her office and apologizes for ruining her date. Kiana asks Fallon to trust her, and says that she has Brooks Jensen's best interests at heart before they shake hands.



Backstage, McKenzie Mitchell interviews Wes Lee. Wes says he would love to make it to Los Angeles as North American Champion, but he cannot look too far ahead. He then says he will give another open challenge for the title next week. When McKenzie asks why he is doing this when this puts him at a disadvantage at Roadblock, Wes Lee says "It's just who I am."



Bron Breakker retains the NXT Championship against Jinder Mahal after countering the Khalass and hitting the Spear. During the match, The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) attack Indus Sher (Veer Mahaan and Sanga), and both teams brawl to the back as officials try to break the brawl up. After the match, Carmelo Hayes is seen on the nearby balcony. All of a sudden, the show switches to the WWE page on Peacock, and we see Grayson Waller in the production truck. Grayson Waller says that he is the new main event and that he will be the star at NXT Roadblock, then states that he wants to host an edition of "The Grayson Waller Effect" with "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels as his guest.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 20, 2023

Sami Zayn heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Sami says he is feeling a lot of feelings and that the one at the forefront is gratitude thanks to the ovation that everyone has given him in the last few days. The crowd chants "You deserve it!", then Sami says that after coming so close to putting a bow on a storybook ending in front of his hometown, he feels a lot of guilt and feels he let a lot of people down. He says that everyone told him to finish the story, and he realizes now that the story is never over. Sami then says we are entering the final chapter and that it is not about just him, then asks Kevin Owens to come to the ring. Owens shows up, and Sami says that he has a lot of things to say to him, then thanks him and apologizes even though they are past the point of words that there may be no coming back. He knows that Kevin Owens cares about taking down The Bloodline, then says he has a mission and that he will not rest until he sees with his own eyes The Bloodline coming down. He then says neither of them could have done it alone, and the only way to get it done is together. Owens says he does not need Sami's apology or gratitude, as he did it for his family as well as their family so Sami's family didn't have to watch Sami get beaten down like his family did with him. He says he has fought The Bloodline alone and that this is how he plans to keep fighting them, and that he is still done with him. He then tells him to "call [his] buddy Jey [Uso]" if he needs help, then leaves. Just before the commercial break, Sami Zan is attacked from behind by Baron Corbin. Just before the commercial break, Sami Zayn is attacked from behind by Baron Corbin. Referees break up the brawl in picture-in-picture, but neither of them can be held back, and security and other officials have to get involved. Corbin then takes a microphone and gets in the ring, then asks Sami how it felt when he interrupted him last week to "cry about [his] insecurities" and that he didn't deserve to be in the same ring as Roman Reigns. He then says Sami did not, as he was the last person to beat Roman Reigns. Corbin then says he knew that Roman Reigns would destroy embarrass him, and calls it pathetic that he begged for help from Kevin Owens and says his story is over. Corbin says Sami embarrassed himself, his family, his hometown and all of hometown because he is a failure. WWE official Adam Pearce then tells Sami Zayn to go at it with Baron Corbin, and this starts a match.



Sami Zayn beats Baron Corbin.



Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio. Rhea says the last thing she will say about Beth Phoenix is that Beth admitted she was the real deal. She then says that she is focused on WrestleMania, and Dominik warns Byron Saxton not to press Elimination Chamber further. As for WrestleMania, Rhea says Charlotte Flair can keep living in 2020 and that Charlotte refuses to believe that she is the best woman in WWE. She also says she does not make the same mistake twice, and that her place is on top of her crumbled kingdom. She also says that everyone will have to watch on Friday to see what she has in store for Charlotte then, then Dominik mentions that Rey Mysterio also has a match on Friday as well and that they might as well wish him good luck.



We see footage from the Elimination Chamber post-show press conference where Edge accepts Austin Theory's open challenge for the WWE United States Championship.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Austin Theory. Theory says he is banged up, but he is here like he always is because he is the champion. He says he was in the Elimination Chamber with five of the best, and that he did everything he said he would do. He then mentions John Cena coming back in two weeks and says nobody cares, then asks if anyone cares about the work he puts in. As for his match with Edge, he gets to beat a Hall of Fame in his home country and continue his forever reign to WrestleMania.

Mustafa Ali beats Dolph Ziggler after standing on his hands to block the Zig-Zag and pinning Ziggler with a crucifix pin.



Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The Miz. Maryse gives him a gold envelope for their anniversary, and when The Miz is asked about Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, he says Rollins has gotten too big for his red boots and that he is glad Logan Paul put him in his place. He then says that his outstanding tutelage took out Seth Rollins and that his gold envelope has just made his dreams come true.



"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes heads to the ring. Paul Heyman - who is wearing a neck brace - appears on the TitanTron and interrupts Cody Rhodes. When Cody asks Heyman where he is, Heyman says he is backstage, and Cody asks him to come to the ring. Heyman says he was attacked by a "K-Odiak" and was subjected to the Canadian health care system, which made last night a tragedy for "the Wise Man." He then says that the true tragedy will befall upon Cody at WrestleMania. Heyman tells Cody that he cannot beat Roman Reigns, and asks Cody what his life would be like if the stars align and Cody Rhodes were to beat Roman to become champion. Heyman says that Roman has his wise counsel, and if Cody where to beat Roman for the undisputed championship, he would not have him. He then says that Cody will have 200 on the road defending the undisputed, 50 days of charity appearances, 30 days of promotional appearances, another 20 of promoting the big shows, and two months at home doing other things for the company. After refraining from making any personal attacks, he then asks Cody if he wants this kind of life. He then says that Roman may be a married man, but he is not, and that Cody will find out that his WrestleMania dreams will become his own personal nightmare. Cody says Roman may be great, but he has seen this play before and tells him not to say Heyman again, as they will meet again and he will say the same thing now that he would say then. He says Roman is the best Universal Champion in WWE history, but it does not change anything and he has to finish the story. He then says that he will beat Roman at WrestleMania.



Asuka beats Nikki Cross by submission. Bianca Belair shows up at the start of the match to watch from the commentary table. After the match, Bianca Belair and Asuka have a staredown in the ring, and Bianca points at the WrestleMania sign. A blue liquid then leaks from Asuka's mouth, then Asuka laughs.



Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Carmella, who says that all she has thought of in the last two days is Asuka, and that she plans to give her a receipt for what she did to her. Carmella leaves, then Cathy Kelley catches Seth Rollins backstage. Rollins says it is twice that Logan Paul has ruined his WrestleMania plans and has treated everything like a game, then says the joke is on Logan. He says that anyone who has gotten in his way knows a certain side of him all too well, and that he will find Logan Paul and hurt him. He then says The Miz will make a perfect surrogate for suffering since Logan is not here tonight.



Backstage, MVP calls Brock Lesnar a coward who could not escape Bobby Lashley's hurt lock and got himself disqualified. Omos then shows up, and MVP then says that Omos issues a challenge to Lesnar at WrestleMania. He tells Lesnar to show up next week to accept the challenge if he has the intestinal fortitude.



Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beats The Miz by referee stoppage after hitting him with The Stomp twice.



Backstage, Carmella gets a match with Asuka next week from WWE official Adam Pearce. After Carmella leaves, he gets a call from Chelsea Green, who complains about being stuck in Ottawa, Illinois instead of Ottawa, Canada. Adam Pearce tells her they will soon be in Grand Rapids, Michigan, then pretends to have a bad connection and hangs up when Chelsea complains about being stuck in Ottawa.Afterwards, he sees Alpha Academy looking into a mirror only for Bronson Reed asking them if this is how he trains for a match. When Gable says he is preparing for a modeling career, Bronson tells Gable to prepare to wear a full body cast. Otis stares down Bronson and tells him that nobody speaks to Gable like that. Bronson chuckles, then leaves.

It's time for Ding Dong, Hello! Bayley says that today is Family Day and that she has brought Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky in as her guests. When asked what it feels like to be women's tag team champions, Dakota Kai says this would not be possible without Bayley's guidance and that she and Iyo have been dominant for over 100 days. As Dakota Kai lists off who she and Iyo Sky have beaten and proclaims that the two of them will stay dominant, Becky Lynch shows up. Becky Lynch says that Dakota and Iyo have not defend the women's tag team titles for some times and that they are getting dusty, the says that she is considering taking the women's tag team titles at WrestleMania. Bayley tells Becky she has no friends, then Becky says there was one person interested. Lita shows up, and she and Becky head to the ring. Becky and Lita enter through the door, and Bayley says Lita does not even work here and that Becky is desperate if she is bringing in Lita. Becky and Lita say they have made up, and Lita says that if she cannot beat Becky for a title, then she can entertain being a tag champ. Lita challenges Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky to a women's tag team title match, and Bayley says Lita and Becky have not even come close to earning a shot. Lita and Becky state that their accolades speak for themselves. Becky then says that Bayley claims to be the greatest, then says Bayley does not want this to happen because she is scared. Bayley recklessly accepts the challenge, then Becky and Lita take the women's tag titles and raise them up before tossing the titles back to Dakota and Iyo.



Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Candice LeRae. Candice says Johnny Gargano got banged up on Saturday, then sees Nikki Cross and intercepts her, wanting to know why Nikki is following her. She then says she has a match with Piper Niven next week and cannot focus on her and Nikki, then Nikki whispers something to Candice before running away. Byron asks Candice what Nikki said, and Candice says Nikki has stated that all of her friends are gone and that she is alone. She then says Johnny Gargano will be back, then awkwardly leaves.





WrestleMania 39 is 40 days away!

Bronson Reed beats Chad Gable after Gable is distracted by Otis being handed a business card by Maxxine Dupri at ringside.



Elias is in the ring. Elias says he hopes Rick Boogs is taking notes, as this is the time of the years when legends come out and stars are made, and that there is no bigger star or legend than him. He then wants to know who walks with him at WrestleMania, and Bobby Lashley shows up. Bobby Lashley soon starts slamming Elias around before ramming him into the ring post, then gets Elias back in the ring and hits him with a Spear before putting him in the Hurt Lock. Lashley then grabs a microphone and says everyone has a plan until he locks the Hurt Lock in, then says Brock Lesnar panicked and had to resort to a low blow. He then says nobody breaks the Hurt Lock, and that anyone who disrespects him will be put down.



Backstage, Byron Saxton interviews Edge. Edge says that he is happy that The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio) is in the rear view mirror and that he is back to his goals from coming out of retirement. He says that Austin Theory can shape the next two decades, but wants to know if he can do it. He says that Austin Theory's reign will not last forever and that with age comes wisdom, then says that he has not held championship gold in a while and that nothing lasts forever.

Austin Theory retains the WWE United States Championship against Edge following the interference from Finn Balor. After the match, Finn Balor continues to attack Edge and hits him with the Coup de Grace. He then tells Edge that this is just the beginning before hitting the Coup de Grace again. Shortly after this, Finn Balor then hits Edge with a third Coup de Grace to end the show.
