The Dark Knight Rises - Gotham Wrestling recap for January 11, 2026

Ray Jaz beats Joey Conway with a frontflip off the ring apron into a backslide pin.

Backstage, Samira interviews Karl Fredericks (formerly Eddy Thorpe in NXT). He wants to prove that he is worthy of a shop at the UWN World Championship, and while he and Lord Crewe have shared locker rooms, they have never shared a ring. He says that he will get the win and do what he came here to do.

We see a video package of 5150 (Danny Limelight and Slice Boogie) winning the UWN Tag Team Championships. 5150 will be coming to Gotham Wrestling next week.

The Explosion (Rex Wallace and Joe Ocasio) beats Manbun Jesus and Deuce Ex Machina.

Backstage, Ray Jaz celebrates getting the first win in Gotham Wrestling history when some guy tells him that what he did is nothing and that "we Greeks" invested wrestling before telling him he does not want to see or hear him.

We see "Touch Base w/ Keynote Kevin" in someone's Google app and the words "In two weeks."

Drew Gulak is interviewed. Gulak says that ten years after being a UWN tag team champion, it was only right to come back with Gotham Wrestling to find his footing, get back what he lost and build his career back. On the subject of potential opponents, he says there is good talent up and down the card when Leo Sparrow shows up for the next match as soon as Gulak mentions his name.

Leo Sparrow beats Jake Redondo. After the match, Leo Sparrow shoves spinach in Jake Redondo's mouth.

Alex Gracia vs. Big Mama to decide the inaugural UWN Women's Champion is replayed. Big Mama will be coming to Gotham Wrestling next week.

Karl Fredericks beats Lord Crewe. Before the match, Fredericks hands his medallion to a boy in the front row. Later on in the match, Lord Crewe mouths off at the boy. The show ends with Freericks hugging the boy.

Memphis Thing XL - Memphis Wrestling recap for August 10, 2024

In footage from earlier today, Lord Crewe notices ""The GunShow" Brett Michaels and tears up a 8" x 10" photo that he has just signed before walking away. Big John Dalton is concerned that things will get physical between The GunShow and Lord Crewe.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Lord Crewe.



In backstage footage from earlier today, Zaya interviews K-Toomer. K-Toomer says the main event is what it is, and while it should be against "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts is throwing his weight around as well as some temper tantrums. He says a problem child is stepping into the ring with "a grown ass man" and he finally gets to cut loose and not hold back. He then tells Aaron Roberts that it is "on sight."



Sycho Simon beats CJ Money. After the match, Sycho Simon demands an interview from Dustin Starr, and tells Tommy Dreamer that when he gets his hands on him today, they will paint the streets of Pontotoc, Mississippi red with Dreamer's blood.



Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex), Derrick King, Ray Ray Sanders, Ethan Steele and Luke Justice beat The Nyxx Network (Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston), The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) and The Last Savages (Gio Savage and Draco) in a twelve-man XL Tag Team Match.



Backstage, Zaya interviews Justin Case and Aaron Roberts. Justin says that people need his permission to interview Aaron Roberts, as Roberts can be a problem. Roberts tells K-Toomer to count the seconds as champion, as he will soon be counting sheep when he beats him for the Heritage Championship.



Mackenzie Morgan beats Marti Belle. After the match, Nixi XS shows up with a contract, and all she needs is Mackenzie's signature. Mackenzie signs, then says Mackenzie should have read the fine print, as Mackenzie is facing her newest client: C-Rex, the mystery woman from a few weeks ago. Nixi XS says that C-Rex can smash Mackenzie with just a snap of her fingers, and security have to step in in case of a brawl.



Dustin Starr interviews Coach Pillar, Big John Dalton and Denzel Rollins at the announce desk. Coach Pillar mentions the beating that he received from The Righteous Path ("Reverend" Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, Marrow), and now he is not only declaring for the Ainsley Cup, but Big John Dalton and Denzel Rollins will be coming with him.

Big John Dalton beats Big Nasty Phil after Denzel Rollins carries "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn off the apron and towards the locker room to keep him from interfering.



"The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts beats K-Toomer to become the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Champion! During the match, Roberts knocks out the ref with a clothesline, then Justin Case pulls out a red rag, implied to be covered in ether or chloroform, out from underneath the ring to use on K-Toomer. K-Toomer grabs Justin Case and uses the red rag against him, but Aaron Roberts pulls out a similar rag of his own and uses it against K-Toomer. Roberts then hits the Problem Bomb and revives the referee to get the win and the Heritage title.

At The Derby - Derby City Wrestling for September 17, 2023

Backstage, Audacity (Chris Allen, Omega, Carson Drake) is fired up for their match this week, and Omega tells TMZ that they have never seen anything like Louisville, Kentucky or stepped into a battle like what they are about to be in.

"Pretty" Peter Avalon is in the ring for Pete's Powder Room. This week's guest is Dylan Bostic. Avalon boasts about Bostic's activities in music, movies and boxing as of late and about his undefeated streak and knocking "The Pope" Elijah Burke out, then Bostic brags about what he has been doing , then says Burke used the turnbuckle illegally and that he is still undefeated. He says he can beat Elijah Burke again, and if they were in a boxing match, he would knock him out again. The Pope shows up and knocks Bostic out with his right hand with no hesitation, then takes the microphone from Avalon's hand and says "Hey, Dylan...I accept."

Backstage, Alexis Littlefoot hands Robbie Walker her business card, then mentions that she only gives her phone number to people who are "money" and leaves when Robbie Walker mentions the lack of a phone number on the card.

Before the next match, Lord Crewe says he has been roughshod over the United Wrestling Network for over two years, yet nobody has the audacity to announce a match for him. He says he came for a fight, and challenges anyone from the back who thinks they are man enough. The challenge is answered by Ted "The Trailer" McNaler and Dustin Jackson.

Lord Crewe beats Ted "The Trailer" McNaler and Dustin Jackson in a two-on-one handicap match. After the match, Lord Crewe says that he hopes those who were not listening before are listening now, and warns not to let this happen again.

We look back on Watts vs. Eli Drake (now LA Knight) from the September 22, 2020 episode of UWN Primetime Live.

David Marquez interviews Alexis Littlefoot on the ramp. Littlefoot mentions her business cards and Big Money Management, then says that she only gives her phone number out to those who are "money" before giving out business cards to people in the front row.

TMZ (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito) retain the United World Tag Team Championships against Audacity (Carson Drake and Omega). During the match, Chris Allen grabs at Che Cabrera not once, but twice, during the match, and the second time costs when Che Cabrera pulls him up and dodges Omega so that Omega inadvertently takes Chris Allen out.

At The Derby - Derby City Wrestling recap for June 4, 2023

Backstage, Lord Crewe gets upset with "Dead Ringer" Aaron Williams over the involvement of Jake Something in their plans when they had Willie Mack where they wanted him. Williams says he has nothing to work about because Willie Mack will not be here this week as he tells Lord Crewe to trust him.

Myron Reed beats Mickey Midas, then raises Mickey's hand after the match.

We hear from Dylan Bostic, who brags about beating "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero and attacking him backstage. He then announces that he will be face-to-face with The Pope next week.

David Marquez interviews "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater. Clearwater says that the fans do not realize that they are standing in front of not just a god, but "a capital G Golden God," and demands that the fans respect him. Clearwater says that Danny Limelight is only champion because of backstage politics by Jonny Loquasto, and in order to get his title back, he will go through whoever and do whatever it takes. Suddenly, Moose shows up, and says that the only god in Louisville, Kentucky is the wrestling god named Moose before stating that he has tunnel vision for the United World Championship. Moose offers to make things really easy for Clearwater, then asks the fans if they want to see him shove his boot up Clearwater's ass. He then wishes Clearwater luck and leaves, and Clearwater is furious.

Backstage, "Outlandish" Zicky Dice is in the locker room with a note-taking Beck Reeves, who is furious that he has to meet a certain quota of matches and has been thrown into a six-man tag match next week. As he asks where Garrisaon Creed, Garrisaon shows up, and Zicky Dice makes him one of his tag team partners. Zicky Dice then says he needs another partner, then picks Beck Reeves after saying he will bill him as being 240 lbs. When the three of them come up with a gameplan, Zicky kicks the cameraperson out of the locker room.

Spymaster Ace beats "Primetime" Robbie Walker after Walker goes for a top rope cross body and Spymaster Ace rolls through. After the match, Sean Phillips interviews Robbie Walker, who admits he does not even know what happened and that he has been on a bit of a losing streak, then says that he was trained by the late Matt Cappotelli and that he has a five-year-old who beat cancer. He says he does not know what is going on, but he will not quit, and when he comes back, he will be better than he has ever been.

Backstage, Dane Becker interviews Jake Something, who says that he has a lot of his mind and a lot on his plate, but he cannot get a hold of Willie Mack. He says Lord Crewe and "Dead Ringer" Aaron Williams did something to Willie Mack and that he will not fare well if he goes it alone. Danny Limelight shows up and says he was going to have an off night tonight while everyone is gunning for him and the United World Championship, but instead of enjoying the night life tonight, he might as well welcome Jake Something to The Bodega and give some beatdowns.

"Dead Ringer" Aaron Williams and Lord Crewe beat Jake Something and Danny Limelight after "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater keeps Danny Limelight from making the save.

At The Derby - Derby City Wrestling recap for May 7, 2023

Audacity (Carson Drake and Omega) beat Technical Difficulties (Raheem de la Suede and "The Deliverer" Moses).

Backstage, Sean Phillips interviews Jake Something. Jake says Louisville, Kentucky has professional wrestling history and he plans to add to it when he shows Lord Crewe who the baddest is. He says that he has beaten him before and that Lord Crewe has had some bad luck, then says that his name wil be ringing in Lord Crewe's ears.

Allysin Kay beats Alex Littlefoot.



"Outlandish" Zicky Dice vs. Danny Limelight for the United World Championship is replayed.

Backstage, Sean Phillips interviews Rocco Bellagio. Rocco admits he has a little bit of ring rust, then says that he is not used to losing. He says that he will get back to winning, and after "Outlandish" Zicky Dice and Danny Limelight are done beating each others' asses, he wants Limelight again, and he will come for the United World Championship.

Lord Crew beats Jake Something after "Dead Ringer" Aaron Williams attacks Jake with his cane out of view of the referee.

At The Derby - Derby City Wrestling recap for April 16, 2023

The show begins with an announcement from UWN representative Jonny Loquasto dedicating this week's episode to those affected by the senseless acts of violence in Louisville, and hopes that this show provides levity and enjoyment during this time.

David Marquez interviews Billie Starks and Marti Belle, who are in today's main event. Marti says she is proud of Billie and everything that she has accomplished, and while Billie is big in Japan, she is "still a kid" in Derby City Wrestling. Billie says that Marti has been doing this for a while and that she watched her as a kid, but she is a whole different monster and that she has made her brand, and Marti is fighting a wrestler, not a kid.



"The Blood Thief" Count Noctis beats Damien Chambers after rolling Chambers up on his shoulders during an arm bar to pin him. After the match, Jaden Dominic Rose runs into the ring and attacks Count Noctis. Chambers stops him at first, then both men gang up on Noctis before leaving.



Gangrel vs. "Outlandish" Zicky Dice for the United Heritage Championship is replayed.



Backstage, Sean Phillips interviews The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate). Both of them pass the microphone to each other when asked about their match.

David Marquez interviews Danny Limelight. Limelight says he does not respect Moose for calling himself "a wrestling god" and proclaiming the United World Championship is already his, and while Moose will make an impact here and in the United Wrestling Network, so will he, and he will be damned if Moose does not take the title from him without wiping his feet at the doormat. He also mentions what Rocco Bellagio had to say last week, and while it makes sense why "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero wants to co-sign Rocco, Rocco is holding on to history from the past while he makes history everywhere he goes as a fighting champion. He says that after he is done with Rocco, he will deal with Moose as well as any comers for the World title.

Lord Crewe - accompanied by "Dead Ringer" Aaron Williams - quickly beats Beck Reeves. After the match, Lord Crewe tells Willie Mack that it is far from over between them.

Backstage, Sean Phillips interviews "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. After bringing up Zicky Dice stealing wrist tape and pulling fire alarms, Zicky Dice says that wrist tape was his and accuses Rip Rogers of pulling the alarms as a rib. Zicky then says he is setting up a "super squad" as it is his time to get all the action deals, movie poster and television deals. He then says that unless Phillips is willing to watch his back, this interview is over.

David Marquez interviews Dylan Bostic, who says he is out here because he wants an answer from "The Pope" Elijah Burke. "The Pope" shows up and confronts Bostic, and both men brawl, with referees and other wrestlers quickly holding both men back.

Marti Belle beats Billie Starkz after getting the knees up to block the Swanton Bomb. Both women hug in a show of respect after the match.

At The Derby - Derby City Wrestling recap for April 9, 2023

David Marquez interviews Rocco Bellagio and "The Pope" Elijah Burke. Rocco says that Louisville, Kentucky is the mecca of professional wrestling, and while he is fro New Jersey, he calls Louisville home, and he is standing next to the man who needs no introduction in The Pope while he is the longest-reigning heavyweight champion in the city's history. He says that he is deserving of a shot at the United World Championship, and he wants everyone to witness it themselves. The Pope says there is not much more that needs to be said as history speaks for itself and that Rocco has made his accomplishments known and Louisville has generated great superstars and legacies which Derby City Wrestling will continue. He says there is no better person to go after the title than Rocco and that he will be rooting for him.

Willie Mack beats Lord Crewe.



Backstage, "Outlandish" Zicky Dice goes through someobody's bags and finds a $20 bill as well as some wrist tape. Suddenly, Beck Reeves shows up and confronts Zicky Dice, who hands him a bottle of mustard as he introduces himself and gives him an opportunity to be on television with him. He has him look at the camera, then helps himself to Reeves' wrist tape and leaves. Reeves then checks his hair for the camera.

David Marquez interviews Dylan Bostic. Bostic says he is back in Louisville, Kentucky and that it sickens and absolutely disgusts him that he has to be back here in front of all these "disgusting, poor, in-bred, mouthbreathing hillbillies." He then says his issue is not with the fans, but with "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero, saying his "cheerleading" for Rocco Bellagio disgusts him and that he is the real #1 contender for the United World Championship. He then says that if The Pope has the balls, he will get in the ring with him one-on-one and they will find out who the next #1 contender is. He then asks "Who sucks now?"

Audacity (Omega and Chris Allen) beat Infrared (Logan James and Tyler Matrix) with an inside cradle from Chris Allen to Tyler Matrix. After the match, Infrared hits Audacity with some cheap shots, then run off.



Backstage, Sean Phillips interviews Danny Limelight. Limelight says that he should turn the Derby City into "Papi City" and make Louisville his new home, and that he is the face of the United Wrestling Network for a reason. He says that he has faced and put down the best for months, but he has been doing this for more than just months and that he has been running the UWN for the last three years. He says it does not matter who gets sent his way, because he will put them down.

David Marquez interviews "Pretty" Peter Avalon. Avalon says that he is the United Wrestling Network and that he would make up all four faces of its Mount Rushmore while he represents the UWN everywhere, all while being booed by the crowd. He mentions that he has a match with Brian Myers in a few weeks, then tells everyone to disregard Brian Myers because he has beaten him before and that he will prove to him again that it is "PPA All Day."

Moose beats "Dead Ringer" Aaron Williams. After the match, David Marquez interviews Moose, who tells Danny Limelight that he does not have to tell him who he is or what he has done and that Danny Limelight has something around his waist that belongs to him. Moose says that he is the new United World Champion.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling recap for February 26, 2023

Levi Shapiro and Rob McKnight beat El Primohenio Tribeca and Lord Crewe in a Loser Leaves Town Match. As per pre-match stipulation, Lord Crewe has to leave Championship Wrestling. (Had Lord Crewe and El Primohenio Tribeca won, Rob McKnight would have had to leave.



Backstage, Megan Harmon interviews "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. Zicky says he is the United Wrestling Network and that the fans do not remember that. He says he is hungry and starving, then asks Willie Mack if he is hungry before saying that Willie has eaten and has gotten complacent. He says that tonight, he is going to eat a lot of "Chocolate Thunder."

Danny Limelight heads to the ring. Limelight talks about how he made Jordan Clearwater tap out to become United World Champion and how he stood toe-to-toe with Eddie Kingston and was pushed to his limit. He then says that he has Clark Connors next week, and he also has the #1 contender in Bad Dude Tito and the Red Carpet Rumble winner in Invictus Khash, and he must stay focused, for as long as he is champion, everyone will want a piece of him. Limelight says that after he beats Clark Connors, they can bring anybody, and they will still tap. He then states that he will take on all challengers, and that he is United World Champion and there is nothing anybody can do about it.



J-Rod beats Candy Girl in her Championship Wrestling debut.



Sledge beats "Poppin'" EJ Sparks. After the match, Bateman shows up, and Sledge leaves the ring after telling him that EJ Sparks is all his. Bateman helps Sparks up and raises his hand before hitting him with the brainbuster. "Pretty" Peter Avalon then shows up as Bateman hits Sparks with the Death From Above, then checks on Sparks.



Backstage, The Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) run into Jonny Loquasto. Loquasto congratulate them on becoming three-time United World Tag Team Champions, and as he mentions the controversy behind their win, Bad Dude Tito shows up and mentions his credentials before Flex McCalleon states that he and Richie Slade have yet to get their championship rematch. Jonny Loquasto announces that in two weeks, The Wolf Zaddies (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito) and Beef Candy (Flex McCalleon and Richie Slade) take on The Midnight Heat and The Institution ("Benevolent" Jack Banning, Divine, Freeman, Honest).

"Outlandish" Zicky Dice beats Willie Mack after putting his hands on the referee to pull himself before running into the ropes to knock Willie Mack off the top rope and hitting the High Roller for the win.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for November 27, 2022

Before the next match, "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater and Invictus Khash are in the ring. Clearwater demands respect from the fans, then says that he is usually all smiles, but today, he is pissed off because he has to be out here wasting his time with idiots and "those fools Ray Jackoff and his dumb personal trainer." He then challenges Raymond Jazikoff to face Invictus Khash man-to-man. Afterwards, it is announced that James Kincaid is back at the commentary table after being attacked by "Benevolent" Jack Banning.

Invictus Khash beats Ray Jazikoff with the Fujiwara arm bar. During the match, "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater grabs Mike Goga and throws him into the ring post, distracting Jazikoff and allowing Invictus Khash to get the win, even as Jazikoff breaks the hold only for Khash to lock it in again.

Backstage, Johnny Loquasto talks with "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. Dice says he has been getting more attention ever since he won the Heritage Championship and that he is letting anyone win it from him. Suddenly, Kevin Masterson pops up from underneath, taps the front plate of the Heritage title, says "Mine," then sinks back down. Zicky Dice asks "Was that Jesus?" Loquasto replies, "More athletic."

Johnny Loquasto is beseiged backstage by Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCalleon), who want a proper tag team title rematch. Loquasto says they had it, but Beef Candy says their opponents have been cheating as of late and that they have recently defeated Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) clean. Loquasto tells Beef Candy that in a couple of weeks, they will face TMDK (Shane Haste, Mikey Nichols, JONAH, Bad Dude Tito), and if they can beat TMDK, they will be guaranteed a tag team title shot.

Vipress beats Mylo with the Sidewinder.

Jordan Cruz retains the United Television Championship against Dom Kubrick. After the match, "Benevolent" Jack Banning shows up on the stage and claps.

El Primohenio Tribeca beats Lord Crewe by count-out after Crewe leaves the ring and lets himself be counted out, much to the satisfaction of Halston Boddy as well as Crewe, who is heard saying "You wanted this." As per pre-match stipulation, El Primohenio Tribeca now has Halston Boddy has his manager. Primohenio is confused after the match.

Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews Danny Limelight. Limelight says he has been facing the best of the best and that they just keep coming, and that he will put Alan Angels out just like the rest, as he has his eyes on the United World Championship and The Bodega (Limelight, "King FatBoy" Papo Esco, Slice Boogie) will put an end to The Embassy's (Prince Nana, "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater, Invictus Khash, Talos) tactics as he takes what "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater loves most: the gold.

Danny Limelight beats Alan Angels by submission.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for October 2, 2022

The Bodega (Danny Limelight, "King FatBoy" Papo Esco, Slice Boogie) head to the ring to start this week's show. Slice Boogie says he is okay with Danny Limelight beating him like he did in the Golden Opportunity tournament and announces he has suffered a torn Achilles, then Papo Esco says The Bodega is about to run the United Wrestling Network on the greatest level. He says that Danny Limelight will win the United World Championship and that everything The Bodega set out to do will happen as planned, then Danny Limelight has a toast with the fans before telling Jordan Clearwater that he is coming home with the gold. He also says there is nobody in the back or in The Embassy who can stop him, then Baron Black shows up and says that while Danny Limelight is number one contender, he is only that because he was not in the tournament. Limelight tells Baron Black he has respect for him and that he did not need to show up like a jealous ex, then says that Black was not in the tournament because he did not put in enough work. Baron Black says that he was the top guy in Championship Wrestling From Atlanta and tells him that he could have beaten Danny Limelight any day of the week, then Johnny Loquasto shows up. Loquasto commends Baron Black on stacking up wins in United Wrestling Network even though Danny Limelight has earned his title shot, then puts the two of them in a match for next week. Baron tells Limelight that he is going to learn, and Limelight tells Baron that he made him tap out last time.

Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) beat Michael Hopkins and Miggy Rose.

Backstage, Guy Tweakacetti says that The Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) have been partying for forty days and forty nights. Ricky Gibson says that with the United tag titles comes with a lot of clout, and with that clout, people pay attention to them and they plan on another long title reign. Suddenly, Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) shows up. Thornstowe tells The Midnight Heat that they have put targets on themselves and that Reno Scum have had multiple title reigns. Johnny Loquasto shows up and puts both teams in the main event, and if Reno Scum win, they get a shot at the United tag titles. As Guy Tweakacetti gets mad, Loquasto tells him to keep the sunglasses on due to how his pupils look.

"Poppin'" EJ Sparks beats Koto Hiro.

Lord Crewe vs. Levi Shapiro ends in a no-contest after Crewe shoves a camera crew member for getting in his way only for the camera crew member to shove back. Both the camera crew member and Lord Crewe have to be held back.

We hear from Jack Banning, who congratulates Ju Dizz on winning last week. He says Ju Dizz may think things are going his way, but they are also going his way. He says Ju Dizz's win against Freeman was tainted, but the next match will be "an honest for us all." He says that humans have only one instinct: to survive. He also says humans have one guarantee: they won't.

Jordan Cruz retains the United Television Championship against Kevin Martenson.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling presented by CarShield recap for September 25, 2022

"BHK" Kevin Martenson beats Atticus Coger. During the match, Martenson puts Coger in the Rat Trap, and Coger pulls out a set of skewers. He gets caught with them by the referee, and Coger throws the skewers to the referee's feet. As the referee picks up the skewers, Coger tries to bite Martenson's hand, but Martenson blocks the bite with a foreign object and hits the brainbuster for the win.

El Primohenio Tribeca is in the ring. He says he is sick and tired of Lord Crewe sticking his nose in other people's business and keeping people like him from excelling in the wrestling business, then immediately calls out Lord Crewe for a fight. Lord Crewe and Halston Boddy show up, and this leads to a match.

El Primohenio Tribeca beats Lord Crewe and gives Crewe his first loss in Championship Wrestling. During the match, Halston Boddy gets on the ring apron and distracts the referee, when a man in a black hoodie shows up and attacks Crewe before putting Primohenio on top of him. He takes off the hoodie to reveal himself as Dom Kubrick, then yanks Boddy off the ring apron and alerts the referee to the pinfall attempt, and Primohenio gets the upset win.

Backstage, Jeremy McPeet interviews Brendan Divine, now known as just "Divine." "Benevolent" Jack Banning shows up and tells Honest to stay in the back and tells Devine that he will be learning how to do things on his own as Ju Dizz gets some "divine intervention." He says that there will be no Lesson 2 after Lesson 1 after Ju Dizz learns a lesson he will remember for a long time.

Zeda Zhang guests on commentary for the next match.

Savanna Stone beats Candy Girl. After the match, Savanna Stone and Zeda Zhang trade insults across the ring.

Backstage, Jeremy McPeet interviews Prince Nana and "The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater. Clearwater says he did not want to even wrestle Willie Mack in front of the "Los Angeles losers," then says he has defended the world title more than anyone else. He says that when he steps into the ring, the people will know that he will come out champion. Nana says that Clearwater is the golden boy with the golden key to the golden door, and they will prove why The Embassy is forever.

"Benevolent" Jack Banning guests on commentary for the next match.

Ju Dizz beats Divine after Honest suddenly runs out towards the ring only for "Benevolent" Jack Banning to stop him. Divine is distracted as he goes for Left For Dead, and Ju Dizz is able to hit a second Knowledge Drop and Black Magic to win.

Dustin Daniels vs. El Primohenio Tribeca ends with Lord Crewe showing up and hitting both men with Earth Shatter. Afterwards, Halston Boddy says Lord Crewe is still undefeated and has not even been pinned once, and that he deserves all the ring time because there is not a soul who can stop him.

We hear from Johnny LoQuasto, who thanks the fans for their support during the Golden Opportunity Tournament when "Benevolent" Jack Banning shows up. Jack Banning says Danny Limelight may have won the tournament, but he does not remember getting pinned or tapping out, but he did what he set out to do: make his moments and leave a mark on the United Wrestling Network. Suddenly, Ju Dizz shows up and says he will leave a mark on Banning's face, then dares him to face him one-on-one without The Institution (Banning, Hunter Freeman, Brendan Divine, Honest John) after sticking their nose in his business. Jack Banning says they have no history and that he started this war, and that he had no reason not to accept his invitation into The Institution. Banning says he will only accept his challenge if he can beat the other members of The Institution first, and LoQuasto makes this challenge and stipulation official. Ju Dizz tells Banning to be ready to line them up so he can knock them down, and Banning simply laughs.

Honest John - now known as just "Honest" - beats "Mr. Attitude" James Grady.

Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews Howdy Price and Levi Shapiro. Howdy Price says that everyone is haunted by past choices and that it was not their time then and was not their time at Golden Opportunity, then asks what time is when one is timeless. Shapiro says he is back and has gone back to his winning ways, and that he will taste United gold in the near future.

"Timeless" Levi Shapiro beats Vinnie Massaro.

Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews The Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) and Guy Tweakacetti. Gibson says it feels good to be back on top of the mountain again, and that Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCalleon) has made it easy for them to get back on top when Beef Candy shows up. Beef Candy shows up and confronts Midnight Heat, and Johnny LoQuasto steps in, stating that he is disgusted with how the title changed hands and that Beef Candy is obligated to a tag team title match before putting both teams in a tag team title match this week before telling both teams to "actually wrestle" and telling Guy Tweakacetti that security will be checking his pockets from here on out.

Lord Crewe quickly beats Jason Levi.

Backstage, we hear from Dom Kubrick, who calls out Lord Crewe and Halston Boddy, saying that he is coming for his revenge and that he will get it when they least expect it. He then zips up his hoodie and puts his hood up.

The Midnight Heat ("Rockin'" Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) retain the United World Tag Team Championships against Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCalleon) after Guy Tweakacetti grabs Richie Slade's ankles from the outside and sprays something into Slade's eyes.

Golden Opportunity, Part 1 - Championship Wrestling Presented By CarShield recap for August 21, 2022

Backstage, Jack Farmer and official UWN representative Johnny LeQuasto announces that UWN is committed to giving the fans the best and says that the committee makes the match. He then announces that Lord Crewe is the final participant in the Golden Opportunity Tournament. He then announces that Lord Crewe - who has been undefeated and dominant in competition as of late - is the final participant in the Golden Opportunity Tournament. Halston Boddy shows up with Lord Crewe and says "About time!", then they leave.

Willie Mack beats "Timeless" Levi Shapiro and Lord Crewe in a triple threat match to advance to the finals of the Golden Opportunity Tournament.

We hear from "Benevelont" Jack Banning, who says that since the formation of The Institution, they have stayed by each others' side. Tonight, however, he goes it alone, and he must lead by example and get it done on his own just like his other men should. He says that after tonight, everyone will remember who he is and The Institution will live on, and the opportunity will belong to them.

Danny Limelight beats "Benevolent" Jack Banning and Shane Haste in a triple threat match to advance to the finals of the Golden Opportunity Tournament. During the match, Banning guests on commentary until Danny Limelight forcefully gets him back into the match.

Backstage, Jeremy McPete interviews Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCalleon). McCalleon says Midnight Heat ("Rockin' Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) has already bitten off more than they can chew as he questions how many times they went a piece of them, and Richie Slade says that if they want the main course, they had better not choke on the appetizers.

Backstage, Jeremy McPete interviews Chris Bey. He says Taylor Rust cannot catch up with him and that he will finesse him and Bateman, win the next triple threat match and become United World Champion.

Bateman beats Taylor Rust and Chris Bey in a triple threat match to advance to the finals of the Golden Opportunity Tournament.

Danny Limelight beats Slice Boogie with a roll-up to counter the Statue of Misery followed by a grabbing of the tights to qualify for the Golden Opportunity.

Alex Gracia and Savanna Stone beat Mylo and Johnnie Robbie.

Megan Harmon interviews The Institution ("Benevolent" Jack Banning, Hunter Freeman, Brendan Divine, Honest John). Jack Banning says his Golden Opportunity qualifier is behind them and his hand has been raised, and he plans to take the United World title and use its power to spread their message. He says that with the power and reach of the United World Championship, eyes will be on them, ears will be opened and The Institution will take over everyone's living rooms and spread the truth.

Backstage, Megan Harmon interviews The Embassy (Prince Nana, Invictus Khash, Jordan Clearwater). Prince Nana says he told everyone that a new member of The Embassy would be walking through the curtain, and Jordan Clearwater admits he has been seeing offers from all over the world. He says that everyone all over the world wants his championship, but The Embassy's offer is the most lucrative even as he wants big money matches. He also tells Frankie Kazarian to go ask Chris Dickinson how facing him worked out for him. Clearwater also states that Kazarian will soon find out that he is not just king of California, but king of the entire world.

Before the next match, Dom Kubrick hits Lord Crewe with a springboard drop kick from behind, then punches Halston Boddy in the face.

Lord Crewe quickly Dom Kubrick despite Kubruck getting the jump on him before the match.

Backstage, Jack Famer interviews "Outlandish" Zicky Dice. Zicky Dice - who is running on no sleep - asks who wants to be embarrassed next after he has proven he is the best United Heritage Champion of all time, then a representative shows up and says EJ Sparks deserves another shot at the Heritage Championship. At Golden Opportunity, EJ Sparks will have a rematch against Zicky Dice with the United Heritage Championship on the line. He also tells Zicky Dice to get some rest.

"The Golden Boy" Jordan Clearwater retains the United World Championship against Frankie Kazarian after Kazarian rolls Clearwater up only for Clearwater to push Kazarian forward and into a title belt shot by Prince Nana from the outside.

Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCalleon) beat Miggy Rose and Michael Hopkins after Hopkins inadvertently hits Miggy Rose. After the match, Guy Twakacetti shows up and says that while Beef Candy have been in the ring beating other teams, Midnight Heat have been singing contracts and getting a United World Tag Team title rematch. He says that Beef Candy stole the titles from Midnight Heat and that they are "champions of thievery," but that does not matter to the crowd, which angers Tweakacetti.



Lord Crewe quickly beats Dustin Daniels.



"Benevolent" Jack Banning talks to his men in The Institution (Hunter Freeman, Brendan Divine, Honest John). He says that it is time for the four of them to get what they deserve and the full value of what their labor produces, and for the inmates to run the asylum.

"Benevolent" Jack Banning beats Big Hoss to qualify for the Golden Opportunity after Honest John takes a clothesline from Big Hoss, allowing Brendan Divine and Hunter Freeman to double-team Big Hoss behind the refere's back.



Backstage, Jack Farmer asks Zicky Dice who his mystery partner in tonight's main event. Zicky says he has found the most outlandish tag team partner of all time, and after they win, Danny Limelight cannot challenge for the Heritage Championship.

Before the next match, which takes place in a collegiate-style wrestling ring, Prince Nana welcomes everyone to The Embassy Collegiate Rules Invitational. When Raymond Jazikoff shows up, Prince Nana states they are doing this by his rules.

Raymond Jazikoff vs. Invictus Khash in a collegiate rules wrestling match ends with Khash kicking Jazikoff in the ribs before hitting a full nelson slam. After the match, Jordan Clearwater holds Mike Goga hostage as Khash puts Jazikoff in an arm bar.



Bateman beats Cezar Bononi.



Before the next match, "Outlandish" Zicky Dice says he knows better than to take on The Bodega (Danny Limelight and "King FatBoy" Papo Esco) by himself, then introduces his tag team partner: Jordan Cruz. Slice Boogie guests on commentary for the next match.

"Outlandish" Zicky Dice and Jordan Cruz beat The Bodega (Danny Limelight and "King FatBoy" Papo Esco) despite having no cohesion or teamwork after Zicky Dice hits Papo Esco in the head with the United Heritage Championship behind the referee's back before Jordan Cruz pins Paco Esco with a schoolkid pin.

"The Dirty Daddy" Chris Dickinson retains the United World Championship against Willie Mack with a roll-up. After the match, Jordan Clearwater shows up with another referee and attacks Dickinson, then tells the referee to ring the bell. Clearwater cashes in his Red Carpet Rumble victory, and another title match begins. Clearwater is soon able to hit the Midas Touch to become the new United World Champion.

Lord Crewe beats Koto Hiro.

Backstage, Delilah Doom, Mylo and Johnnie Robbie are met by Howdy Price, who says that he is looking for new talent and asks if they are in the market for a manager, despite having only one business card - which Johnnie takes a picture of - and a 1-900 number. Delilah, Mylo and Johnnie entertain the idea after Howdy leaves.

AJ Mana bets "AMF" Alejandro Mauricio Fernandez by submission with a headscissors hammerlock.

Brendan Divine beats "La Mariposa" Dom Kubrick after Hunter Freeman trips Kubrick. After the match, Freeman and Divine attack Dom Kubrick, then Ju Dizz shows up only to get laid out. Honest John shows up to even up the numbers game, then hits Ju Dizz with a low blow before he, Freeman, Divine and Jack Banning all stomp on him to end the show.

Johnnie Robbie beats Savanna Stone. After the match, Savanna Stone clotheslines Johnnie Robbie from behind.



Backstage, Jack Farmer interviews Johnnie Robbie. Johnnie tells Savanna Stone that if she wants to play by the rules, that is fine, but if she wants to break the rules, that is even better, because she is the rulebreaker.

"Benevolent" Jack Banning beats Honest John with the guillotine choke. After the match, Jack Banning offers Honest John his hand, but Honest John spits in it. Hunter Freeman then attacks Honest John while Jack Banning stands there and looking away.



"King FatBoy" Papo Esco retains the United Television Championship against Keita.



The Wolf Zaddies (Che Cabrera and Bad Dude Tito) beat AJ Mana and El Primohenio Tribeca.



Backstage, Jeremy McPett interviews "Benevolent" Jack Banning. Banning says that unlike the few who pull the strings, he means what he says, and that if it is not true, he will not say it. He says he has found like-minded people with the gumption to see the forest through the trees and accept reality for what it is. Lord Crewe beats Miggy Rose. After the match, Lord Crewe hits Miggy Rose with Earth Shatter a second time at the behest of Halston Boddy.



Backstage, Jeremy McPeet interviews Jack Banning, who says that change is coming, and while it is one of the most difficult things to deal with, it is inevitable. He says that people fear change because they love complacency, and to change, one must leave their comfort zone. He then says he has been lonely and cannot be the only one with his feet on the ground and his head in the clouds, and that "they are coming." As Jack Banning says that it is time for change and time for "us" to get what we want and that it is time for the inmates to run the asylum, he is joined by Hunter Freeman.

Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCallion) beats Adriel Noctis and Michael Hopkins.



Guy Tweakacetti heads to the ring. Tweakacetti says Midnight Heat ("Rockin' Ricky Gibson and "Precious" Eddie Pearl) is not here because the fans do not deserve their presence and that no tag team looks as good as they do or have the energy they do. When he says there is no tag team sweet enough, Beef Candy (Richie Slade and Flex McCallion) show up again. Flex McCallion says it is time that Beef Candy have gotten their shot at the golden opportunity, and Richie Slade says he knows more than a few things about gold. Tweak says nobody cares about Beef Candy and that everyone wants Midnight Heat, but Beef Candy prove otherwise when they get the crowd on their side. Suddenly, PPRay (Peter Avalon and Ray Rosas) show up. Beef Candy dance along with PPRay, then Ray Rosas says that after two long years, PPRay is back in the United Wrestling Network and ready to show they can really shake it down. He also says that PPRay have "that long lasting-flavor" while Guy Tweakacetti is "flavor of the month," then Peter Avalon says they cannot talk about the tag titles match without them and demand a three-way match. Guy Tweakacetti tells both teams that if they want a shot at Midnight Heat and the tag team titles, they have it, and that Midnight Heat are still going out on top.

Baron Black beats Lord Crewe with a modified Cloverleaf combined with boots to the back of the head in a match that can only be won by knockout or submission.



Backstage, Marti Belle interviews Manny Lemons, who says that he is always ready and positive despite having a losing streak. Suddenly, David Ali shows up, shoves the lemon out of Manny's hand and tells him he will suffer another loss at his hands.

Backstage, David Marquez interviews "The Captain" Shawn Dean, but The Bash Brothers (Dave Turner and Chris Ross) approach him and tell him his services are no longer required before stating they want to make a name off of him. Shawn Dean says it is a wrap for "The Captains of the Northwest wrestling scene" and challenges them to a match next week, saying he will be "war ready."

La Anexion (Angel Fashion and Mark Davidson) beat D3 and Blanco Loco after Blanco Loco inadvertently hits D3 with a top rope cutter.
