Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for September 28, 2024

Dustin Starr interviews "The Problem" Aaron Roberts and Justin Case at the announce desk. Justin Case states that all that matters at the end of the night is that Aaron Roberts is still Heritage Champion, then mentions Roberts winning all of the other titles in Memphis Wrestling before saying there is nothing anyone can do about Roberts being champion. Roberts threatens to slap everyone in the WrestleCenter if they continue to chant "egg sucking dog." Justin mentions that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels and K-Toomer are fighting each other, then says they are done with them and that they will get no more title shots. Roberts tells GunShow and K-Toomer they can do the three-way dance all they want, but says they must be sick and tired of getting in each other's way. Roberts then says GunShow and K-Toomer can continue to fight each other while he moves on to bigger and better things. Justin Case says he does not care if GunShow and K-Toomer are here and potentially have something to say about it.



Backstage, Ray Ray Sanders talks with Derrick King about their recent match with Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex) when Tim Grind shows up, saying "it is what it is" and that they will do what it takes to stay champion and that Too Kool II will make it up to them, then takes offense to Ray Ray talking about Too Kool II and tells him that he will see him in the ring.



Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against "Main Event" Bradley in a Tim Bosby Invitational Match. Ron Justice is the championship official for this match.



We see footage of Memphis Wrestling - and Robert Gibson of The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson) - at the Mid-South Fair.



At the WrestleCenter, the woman who found the Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, Marrow) pamphlet last week asks Big Dan if there is any way to see Reverend Ash Taylor. A befuddled Big Dan says he will see what he can do.



Gio Savage beats "The Walking Red Flag" Colton Cage.



We hear from Sycho Simon, who says that the last has been seen of J. Webb and that nobody knows who will be next before throwing J. Webb's teddy bear Lucy into a trash can. Suddenly, someone picks Lucy up from out of the trash.



Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer announces he has a lot to say, but actions speak louder than words. He says the fans saw what happened to him and that he wants the Heritage Championship, but this is bigger than that. He then calls "The GunShow" Brett Michaels so he can knock him out. Justin Case shows up with Big Dan and security, and K-Toomer threatens to beat up Justin Case. Justin tells K-Toomer that his problem is with GunShow, and tells him not to worry about Aaron Roberts, then GunShow shows up. Justin says he is telling the truth and that "The Problem" Aaron Roberts has moved on, then tells K-Toomer and GunShow to fight among themselves. Matchmaker King Cobra shows up and announces that next week, K-Toomer and GunShow will face each other to decide a #1 contender for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship.

The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) beat The New Guys (Jake Bosche and Scott Stanley). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The L.A. Hustlers at the announce desk. Lamonte says they are not in consideration for the tag team titles because of Dustin Starr's "buddy system" with Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders, and Bradley says they want their title shot against Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex).



We hear from Ray Collins, who says that everyone's goal is to sign a big money contract, and while people have called him a sell-out, a jerk and an asshole, he is "a rich asshole." He says the fans may not like it, but he does not care.



Tim Grind beats Ray Ray Sanders with a schoolkid pin while grabbing the tights after Flex grabs Ray Ray Sanders from the outside and Derrick King confronts Flex.



We see more footage and photos from Memphis Wrestling's show at the Mid-South Fair.

C-Rex beats Mackenzie Morgan to become the Memphis Wrestling Women's Champion, ending Mackenzie Morgan's run as the champion at 392 days. After the match, C-Rex hands the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship to Nixi XS. Wes Adams is the championship official for this match.

Memphis Thing XL - Memphis Wrestling recap for August 10, 2024

In footage from earlier today, Lord Crewe notices ""The GunShow" Brett Michaels and tears up a 8" x 10" photo that he has just signed before walking away. Big John Dalton is concerned that things will get physical between The GunShow and Lord Crewe.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Lord Crewe.



In backstage footage from earlier today, Zaya interviews K-Toomer. K-Toomer says the main event is what it is, and while it should be against "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts is throwing his weight around as well as some temper tantrums. He says a problem child is stepping into the ring with "a grown ass man" and he finally gets to cut loose and not hold back. He then tells Aaron Roberts that it is "on sight."



Sycho Simon beats CJ Money. After the match, Sycho Simon demands an interview from Dustin Starr, and tells Tommy Dreamer that when he gets his hands on him today, they will paint the streets of Pontotoc, Mississippi red with Dreamer's blood.



Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex), Derrick King, Ray Ray Sanders, Ethan Steele and Luke Justice beat The Nyxx Network (Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston), The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) and The Last Savages (Gio Savage and Draco) in a twelve-man XL Tag Team Match.



Backstage, Zaya interviews Justin Case and Aaron Roberts. Justin says that people need his permission to interview Aaron Roberts, as Roberts can be a problem. Roberts tells K-Toomer to count the seconds as champion, as he will soon be counting sheep when he beats him for the Heritage Championship.



Mackenzie Morgan beats Marti Belle. After the match, Nixi XS shows up with a contract, and all she needs is Mackenzie's signature. Mackenzie signs, then says Mackenzie should have read the fine print, as Mackenzie is facing her newest client: C-Rex, the mystery woman from a few weeks ago. Nixi XS says that C-Rex can smash Mackenzie with just a snap of her fingers, and security have to step in in case of a brawl.



Dustin Starr interviews Coach Pillar, Big John Dalton and Denzel Rollins at the announce desk. Coach Pillar mentions the beating that he received from The Righteous Path ("Reverend" Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, Marrow), and now he is not only declaring for the Ainsley Cup, but Big John Dalton and Denzel Rollins will be coming with him.

Big John Dalton beats Big Nasty Phil after Denzel Rollins carries "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn off the apron and towards the locker room to keep him from interfering.



"The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts beats K-Toomer to become the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Champion! During the match, Roberts knocks out the ref with a clothesline, then Justin Case pulls out a red rag, implied to be covered in ether or chloroform, out from underneath the ring to use on K-Toomer. K-Toomer grabs Justin Case and uses the red rag against him, but Aaron Roberts pulls out a similar rag of his own and uses it against K-Toomer. Roberts then hits the Problem Bomb and revives the referee to get the win and the Heritage title.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for June 22, 2024

Before the next match, Barnabas the Ringleader introduces The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) and announces that they will make Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders pay in pain, then declares that Maurice the Strong and Herzog will destroy K-Toomer forever in the main event.

The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) beat Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders after Ray Ray inadvertently hits Derrick King with a top rope cross body.



Dustin Starr interviews Mackenzie Morgan at the announce desk. Mackenzie says she has been Memphis Wrestling Women's Champion for 250 days and that she has held the title with pride, and says that she wants a fair fight against Bashley Bones after Bashley recently got an unfair fight.



Mackenzie Mitchell retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Bashley Bones.



Backstage, Matchmaker King Cobra and Assistant Matchmaker Michael are met by Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston, and they tell Matthew and Gaston that they must defend the tag titles against Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex). Gaston tries to feign injury to get out of the match, but Cobra and Michael are not buying it.



"All The Way" Ray Collins beats Jay Smooth.



Backstage, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock gets a call from Van Viciouss and tells him that he has somebody he wants in The Hollywood Clique (Blaylock, Viciouss, Secret Service), and asks Van Viciouss to trust him as he knows this is going to work out.



We hear from Sycho Simon, who says that Real1 may be a bonafide G and a certified stud, but he is a psycho, and that he will beat him in tonight's main event at Autozone Park.

We hear from Tim Bosby, who says that he has been trying to get another shot at Aaron Roberts and the Memphis Internet Championship, but Roberts refuses to accept the match. He says he is willing to do anything, including risking everything, to become champion again.



We hear from Mike Anthony, who is still furious with his losing streak as of late as well as his lack of options aside from the one voice inside of his head.



Suckerboy beats Mike Anthony in his debut match with a Sunset Flip despite Mike Anthony attacking him before the bell.



The Last Savages (Gio Savage and Draco) beat The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal).



We see another message from Kurt Swiss, who says that he cannot help but be overwhelmed with sadness over how great Memphis used to be and that Memphis must go back to what it was once and what made it great, and next week, everyone will see what he means when he says that he will make Memphis great again. He says that Memphis does not need paper champions or hollow leaders, but someone like him with dignity who will carry it to the finish line. He says it will be a long, hard road, but with him, Memphis will be the greatest of all time.

K-Toomer reveals that his tag team partner is Assistant Matchmaker Michael.

K-Toomer and Michael beat The Circuz (Maurice the Strong and Herzog).

Championship Saturday - Memphis Wrestling recap for June 8, 2024

Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Cassandra Golden. During the match, Nixi XS shows up to take notes.



"The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Tim Bosby. During the match, Roberts taps to the ankle lock by Bosby, but Justin Case is arguing with the referee and has him distracted. Roberts then grabs the Internet title and blasts Bosby with it to retain.



We hear from Kirk Swiss, formerly known as K-Swiss, who talks about how he watched classic Memphis Wrestling and says that Memphis Wrestling lost its way and that "Memphis stopped being Memphis." He says he has brought all the great wrestlers and skill and has come to make Memphis great again.

"All Heat" Blake Christian retains the Game Changer Wrestling World Championship against "The Chosen One" Zay Washington after begging Zay off as Zay is on the top rope only to kip up and Superkick Zay out of the air.



Big John Dalton's tag team partner is revealed to be none other than than Buff Bagwell's tag team partner in The American Males, Scotty Riggs.

The Nyxx Network (Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston) beat Big John Dalton and Scotty Riggs to become the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Champions for a second time. During the match, Big John Dalton goes up to the middle rope before "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx suddenly shows up and blasts Dalton in the back with a metal folding chair, allowing Gaston to get the pin, the win and the titles.



K-Toomer retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Herzog. After the match, the rest of The Circuz (Maurice the Strong, Jacksyn Crowley, Abel Booker) attack K-Toomer, and security, referees and even "The GunShow" Brett Michaels show up, with Brett hitting the chair on the top rope so hard that the back of the chair breaks. The Circuz retreats.

Memphis Wrestling - The Starr Gender Reveal Special

Dustin Starr interviews Reverend Ash Taylor - now wearing a neck brace - at the announce desk, despite Reverend Ash Taylor not being invited to the event. Reverend Ash Taylor says he is here today because it is a day of celebration, and that he is here to congratulate Dustin Starr not because of his new child, but because he found a woman foolish enough to lay with him. He also says he is here to pass the collection plate and pray for the new child, then bows his head in prayer before "The GunShow" Brett Michaels shows up wondering why Reverend Ash Taylor is here. Brett then tells him that if that if anyone needs a prayer, it is Ash Taylor, then puts his hands on him and throws him into the ring. Both men shake hands, then Brett crushes Ash's hand, hits him with a spinebuster and finally lays him out with a GunShow Lariat. After the match, Brett Michaels says that he is Team Pink, but is calling that Dustin and Maria Starr will have twin daughters.



We see some behind-the-scenes footage from this special event.



Derrick King beats Sycho Simon in a match that turns into a hardcore match halfway through when Simon pulls out a garbage can that contains a dirty diaper. Simon is about to use the diaper as a weapon when Derrick shoves it into Simon's face. Later on, Simon throws some chairs into the ring, and when he swings at Derrick with one of them, the chair rebounds off the top rope and into his head, allowing Derrick to win with a Superkick. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Derrick King at the announce desk, and Derrick says he is Team Blue.



We see even more behind-the-scenes footage from this special event.



Dustin Starr interviews Tim Bosby at the announce desk. Bosby - representing Team Blue - congratulates Dustin Starr on the new child and predicts it will be a boy, then Dustin Starr interviews Mackenzie Morgan - representing Team Pink - at the announce desk, and Mackenzie predicts it will be a girl. Bosby then says boys are bigger, faster and stronger than girls and asks why they are even having this match, but Mackenzie takes this as Bosby saying she cannot beat her. Both of them shake hands before the match.

Mackenzie Morgan (representing Team Pink) beats Tim Bosby (representing Team Blue) in a Gender Reveal Match. During the match, Dustin Starr hands Tim Bosby some blue powder to throw in Mackenzie Morgan's face, but Mackenzie ducks and the powder hits the referee. Bosby gets Mackenzie in the ankle lock, but the referee is still blinded when Mackenzie taps out. As this goes on, Maria Starr hands Mackenzie some pink powder to throw in Bosby's face, which she does successfully before hitting Bosby with a Stunner. After hitting Bosby with a facebuster, the referee is barely able to count to three, and Mackenzie wins, revealing that the new child is a girl.





Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for May 25, 2024

Dustin Starr interviews Big John Dalton and Buff Bagwell at the announce desk. Both Big John and Buff are excited to be Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Champions, and after Big John thanks the fans, Buff calls these tags a special title to hold as he is holding them with someone who looks up to him, saying that he is Buff, but that Big John is the stuff. Dustin Starr then brnigs out Matchmaker King Cobra and Assistant Matchmaker Michael, who have news on challengers to the tag team titles. Michael announces that sadly, Buff is not exactly fit to compete and that he and Big John Dalton have to vacate the titles, as Buff Bagwell is not cleared to compete. However, if Big John Dalton can find another partner in two weeks, he can win the tag team titles again. Buff says that he knows a good partner, and brings up World Championship Wrestling.



Backstage, Sir Matt and Lord Gaston are upset that Buff Bagwell was not even medically cleared to compete and that the Memphis Wretling Tag Team Championships were not even handed back to them.



Dustin Starr interviews Mackenzie Morgan at the announce desk. Mackenzie says she is sick and tired of being sick and tired after Cassandra Golden has been running and hiding from her, but she finally has Matchmaker King Cobra's signature on a contract, which she signs. She then says she has a contract waiting for Cassandra whenever she is ready.



Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Bashley Bones by disqualification. During the match, Cassandra Golden shows up and takes the contract, and when Mackenzie demands she sign the contract, Cassandra hits Mackenzie in the eye, ending the match. Cassandra then signs the contract.



Backstage, we hear from "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, who tells The Righteous Path that he is not done with them and that they have one piece of business that he will take care of next week: Marrow. Brett then says that when he gets done, he will be going back after the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship.



"The Chosen One" Zay Washington beats Mike Anthony. At the start of the match, it is obvious that Mike Anthony's confidence is shaken. When Anthony slaps Washington in the face, Washington fires off a spinning roundhouse before getting the job done with a top rope 450 splash.



"Dangerous" Diana Taylor gets some Starburst from Makkari Kandy backstage before the next match.

"Dangerous" Diana Taylor and Makkari Kandy beat Just Jodie and Raven Black after Jodie and Raven fail to get along and Jodie disapproves of Raven's dirty tactics. When Diana Taylor hits the DDT, Jodie does not even bother to save Raven when Makkari confronts her.



Backstage, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Big Nasty Phil receive a note from J. Webb stating that J. Webb wants Brad Skimahorn next week. Brad says that he will end J. Webb next week.



Backstage, Big Dan finds out that Sycho Simon is here and has the rest of security stop him from entering the WrestleCenter. Simon ends up throwing one of the security guards into some nearby bushes, then threatens to knock Big Dan's teeth out before throwing another security guard in the bushes and putting his hands on Big Dan, who immediately calls Dustin Starr, who tells him to call the police. Simon tells Big Dan to bring everyone he can and that everyone had better run.



We see some footage from before the Starr Gender Reveal event.



Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Van Viciouss, Secret Service) at the announce desk. Blaylock finds out that due to Matchmaker King Cobra going over his head and going straight to the the championship committee, Blaylock and Viciouss will have a tag team match against Matchmaker King Cobra and Assistant Matchmaker Michael, with the winners making matches for Memphis Wrestling, as per the championship committee. Blaylock says he is not a wrestler, and says that this match is another example of the bias The Hollywood Clique goes through in Memphis Wrestling. He tells Van Viciouss to take care of Michael, and Viciouss says that Blaylock can take care of King Cobra. Blaylock says he will be making better matches than King Cobra, and if King Cobra gets in his way, he will stick his hand so far down his throat that it will take a crane to get it out and that he will hit him so hard that his grandchildren will feel it. He also says that King Cobra getting in the ring with him will be the biggest mistake of his life.



We hear from The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont). Lamont calls Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King "two high-power cowards" and "two punk-ass bitches" after what happened during Spring Break and guarantees that they will not meet them next week. The L.A. Hustlers then challenge Ray Ray and Derrick to a "Hustle Hard Match," with Notorious Bradley saying that Ray Ray and Derrick will not catch them outside.



We hear from Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King, who accept The L.A. Hustlers' (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) challenge, with Ray Ray Sanders saying they are not afraid of a fight as he brandishes a wooden baseball bat while Derrick King says they will prove why they are the number one tag team in Memphis Wrestling.



"Casanova" Colton Cage guests on commentary for the next match (and mentions that "Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo is apparently "too astonishing" to be here for this match).

Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex) beat Steele Cross (Ethan Steele and Alex Cross), The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal) and The Last Savages (Gio Savage and Draco) in a four-way elimination tag team match to become number one contenders to the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for May 4, 2024

Pete Pranica guests on commentary for this week.

Dustin Starr interviews Tim Bosby at the announce desk. Bosby mentions losing the Internet Championship to "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, but says that when you get knocked down, you get right back up, and that is what he plans on doing. He tells Aaron Roberts he wants his rematch so he can become a three-time Internet Champion. "The Chosen One" Zay Washington shows up and agrees with Tim Bosby regarding the Internet Championship and respect something, but Bosby wants something that he also wants, and proposes that they have a match right now. Assistant Matchmaker Michael shows up and mentions that Justin Case and Aaron Roberts are not here, and proposes putting them in a tag team match right now.



Tim Bosby and "The Chosen One" Zay Washington beat The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal).



Backstage, Big John Dalton is talking with Coach Pillar about the Boston Marathon when The Nyxx Network (Sir Matt and Lord Gaston) shows up. Sir Matt says Big John's win against Gaston does not count as they make fun of his appearance before saying that he will not win against him because he is "a big, fat loser." When Matt and Gaston leaves, Buff Bagwell shows up to have a conversation regarding The Nyxx Network.



Backstage, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels meets with Matchmaker King Cobra, wanting The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt, Marrow) today by any means necessary, even if it means he gets one person in each corner.



We hear from "All Heart" Blake Christian, who apologizes to "The Chosen One" Zay Washington before stating that things change with fame and money and that one can either crumble and disappear or become even greater than one could imagine. He admits that the latter option is a lonely road but can lead to championship gold, then mentions Zay's match for the Internet Championship and entertains the idea of winning the Internet title off of him.



Backstage, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn tells Big Nasty Phil that J. Webb has been putting them through the ringer, and that he is sick of it. He says that today, J. Webb has nobody in his corner, and tells Phil to break J. Webb's legs because they are done with him.



J. Webb beats Big Nasty Phil. During the match, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn gets on the apron. J. Webb grabs him, but is able to dodge Big Nasty Phil when Phil charges at him. J. Webb pushes Phil into Bradley before winning with a schoolkid pin. After the match, Brad charges at J. Webb only to eat a back body drop, but Phil knocks J. Webb down. Brad and Phil gang up on J. Webb, then Phil pulls a chair out from underneath the ring, which Brad drives J. Webb face-first into.



We hear from Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex). Tim Grind says the tag team division is better than it has ever been, then says Too Kool II is the best tag team and that it is time for them to get some championship gold. Flex says everyone talks about them because they want to be them, and that the other teams hate on them when they do not even know who they are.



Mackenzie Morgan and Makkari Kandy beat Nixi XS and Raven Black.



Backstage, Assistant Matchmaker Michael wants a rematch against Van Viciouss, even though Van Viciouss is a coward and will not give him his vindication. Matchmaker King Cobra says that if he wants the match, they can make the match and go from there.



We see news footage of Coach Pillar's charity work for St. Jude Children's Hospital.



Dustin Starr interviews Coach Pillar at the announce desk. As Coach Pillar talks about how he ran the Boston Marathon and raised money for St. Jude and raising money again in Pontotoc, Mississippi, The Nyxx Network (Sir Matt and Lord Gaston) shows up. Sir Matt calls Coach Pillar "a big, fat loser just like Big John Dalton" for not winning the marathon before bragging about how they are winners for being tag team champions. He then says that if Coach Pillar needs someone to mentor him on how to be a winner, they are happy to do that. Sir Matt says that Big John Dalton is okay and at least tries, but they are never going to be on The Nyxx Network's level. Gaston says that Big Jon Dalton will never beat him no matter how hard he tries and will always be "a big, fat jigglin' loser."



We hear from K-Toomer, who says that The Circuz (Barnabus the Leader, Maurice the Strong, Jacksyn Crowley, Abel Booker) want to fight him, but turn tail as soon as they see him. He then calls out Maurice the Strong for a match for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Champion, saying that he will soon see him eye-to-eye.



We hear from Barnabus the Ringmaster, who dares K-Toomer to look himself in the mirror and realize that he is a freak just like the rest of The Circuz (Maurice the Strong, Jacksyn Crowley, Abel Booker), but chooses to play hero to the fans instead of being their champion. He says that next week, K-Toomer's lie will come to an abrupt end when a new Heritage Champion is crowned.

Spring Break - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 13, 2024

Before the next match, Barnabas the Leader introduces "the new and improved Circuz," with The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) as their new official members.

The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) beat The Top Gunz (Brandon Beretta and Joey Vinetti) after Maurice the Strong takes out Brandon Beretta on the apron.



We see footage from the pre-show tailgate outside of the WrestleCenter where The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) attack Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King.



Cassandra Golden guests on commentary for the next match.

Mackenzie Morgan beats Raven Black. After the match, Cassandra Golden says she wants the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship back, and Mackenzie Morgan says she will have to beat her to get it. When Mackenzie calls Cassandra a coward as security surrounds them, Cassandra slaps her.



Backstage, Assistant Matchmaker Michael is talking with someone when "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Big Nasty Phil tell that someone to get out of the room so they can talk to Michael, calling them "fatty" in the process. That someone is Alex Hammerstone, who immediately threatens to either beat up both of them now, or beat one of them up in the ring later on, the latter of which Michael makes official.



The Superstars of Seduction ("Casanova" Colton Cage and "Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo) beat The Last Savages (Gio Savage and Draco), The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal) and Steele Cross (Ethan Steele and Alex Cross) in a Spring Break Scramble Match.



It is announced that Sycho Simon has been fined for putting his hands on Dustin Starr a few weeks ago, and if it happens again, the punishment will be much more severe.

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Van Viciouss, Secret Service) at the announce desk. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock says being at Memphis Wrestling is like having a colonoscopy because they get screwed over and over again. He blames Matchmaker King Cobra for Van Viciouss not being in the King Cobra Cup and "The Cowboy" James Storm putting his face in a cake, which he says gaves him diabetes. He says that he wants to file a formal complaint and that he wants King Cobra and Assistant Matchmaker Michael out here right now. Blaylock accuses King Cobra of screwing over The Hollywood Clique over and over again and protecting "The GunShow" Brett Michaels. Cobra says all he does is sign the contracts and that whatever is in the ring is not his business, and Blaylock threatens to go over his head as he has pull in the company, and he also puts his hands on King Cobra as he does this. Cobra says he can go over his head, but he cannot go through him, as this will be the last time Blaylock puts his hands on him.



We see footage of someone in a brown robe with a very large walking stick followed by the words "To Be Continued..."



We hear from K-Swiss, who says he has been looking for the one person who can challenge him, and he thinks that he has found him. He says he is about to prove why he is the greatest when he beats Tim Bosby.

Tim Bosby beats K-Swiss.



We hear from "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, who says he will not join "The Righteous Trash" and that he has something for Reverend Ash Taylor next week.



Alex Hammerstone beats Big Nasty Phil after J. Webb shows up and beats up "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn for getting involved in the match. After the match, J. Webb joins Hammerstone in the ring and poses with him to end the show.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for March 30, 2024

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Draco. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Brett Michaels at the announce desk. Brett gives credit where credit is due to K-Toomer, saying he played his cards right and got the job done, then says that while he likes to wear gold, he does not have to have it, and he is now at a fork in the road. Suddenly, Reverend Ash Taylor shows up and gives Brett an opportunity to pick the right path - the Righteous Path - and hands him a pamphlet. Brett tears it up immediately, saying "Not a chance."





We see a vignette for The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker).

Zay Washington beats Gio Savage.



We hear from Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders. As they talk about their match today, they are approached by The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont), who proceed to make fun of them for sounding like they are tag team champions before Derrick King call them "sell-outs."

Mackenzie Morgan beats Just Jodie, then celebrates with a fan after the match. Mackenzie says she loves the fans and without them, she is nothing, and she never asked to be the face of Memphis Wrestling or the women's division. Suddenly, Cassandra Golden shows up. Cassandra says Mackenzie cannot handle being champion, but she can, and Mackenzie keeps the title away from Cassandra as she tries to take it and says that while he did not ask for this, she still wants this, and she says that she keeps the grass cut low to "see the snakes" and calls Cassandra the biggest snake of all before security and referees prevent a brawl.



Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders beat Steele Cross (Ethan Steele and Alex Cross). During the match, The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) show up, and despite the distraction, Ray Ray Sanders is able to win with a Sunset Flip.



Backstage, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Big Nasty Phil confront Assistant Matchmaker Michael over the identity of J. Webb's mystery partner. Michael refuses to reveal who it is, and leaves with Matchmaker King Cobra.



We see a vignette of Tim Bosby training in the ring.



Dustin Starr interviews "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts and Justin Case at the announce desk. Justin Case says showing a vignette of Tim Bosby was a bad idea, as Aaron Roberts is about to cause bodily harm to Denzel Rollins. He also says that Aaron Roberts is "better than the best."



"The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts beats Denzel Rollins. After the match, Aaron Roberts hits Denzel Rollins with the Problem Bomb.



We hear from Barnabas the Leader, who says that time is the most precious commodity and that time was ripped away from him and Maurice the Strong in 2023, but now time is on their side and that all that was taken from them will be regained. Barnabas then declares that time will be running out will everyone else next week.

Before the next match, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn says nobody is here to have J. Webb's back, but all of a sudden, Lance Archer shows up as J. Webb's tag team partner.

J. Webb and Lance Archer beat "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Big Nasty Phil.

SuperBout III, Part 1 - Memphis Wrestling recap for March 2, 2024

Memphis Wrestling celebrates its third anniversary.

Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage championship against Cassandra Golden after dodging her as she charges at her and countering with a roll-up. After the match, Cassandra Golden raises Mackenzie's hand before hitting her with a short arm clothesline followed by multiple hip attacks and the Golden Rings. Multiple referees have to rush in to break the hold.



We hear from King Cobra and Michael. Michael says there will be no chicanery or tomfoolery today, and that he is here for revenge for King Cobra. King Cobra tells Simon to be ready, because Michael is coming for him. Simon says the rules do not apply to him and that he will break every rule and every bone in Michael's body before he comes for King Cobra.



Simon, now known as "Sycho Simon," beats Michael (now known as Mr. Michael) in a Play By The Rules Match, and is reinstated into Memphis Wrestling.



We hear from Big John Dalton, who says that he will finally get his hand on Reverend Ash Taylor and that he has a donation for his collection plate in the form of a right hand. We hear from Reverend Ash Taylor, who says that Big John Dalton will have to fight through his family to get his hands on him and that "BJD will simply be RIP" when all is said and done.





The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt, Reverend Ash Taylor) beats Big John Dalton in a SuperBout Gauntlet Match after Reverend Ash Taylor turns his back to allow the first shot at him only for a man in a red mask and a long beard to show up and lay out Big John Dalton. After the match, the masked man, Brother Bruce and Ryan Rembrandt slam Big John Dalton in the middle of the ring.



We hear from The Nyxx Network (Sir Matt and Lord Gaston). Matt asks Ray Ray Sanders how many times they have to teach him a lesson, then Gaston says Ray Ray likes being taught a lesson and getting beaten up and that he will not beat them. We hear from Ray Ray Sanders, who says that while things did not work out on his own against them, he will not be fighting alone today.





Ray Ray Sanders' tag team partner is revealed to be Derrick King.

The Nyxx Network (Sir Matt and Lord Gaston) retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King after Derrick King inadvertently superkicks Ray Ray Sanders following the dodge by Lord Gaston. Will Gibson is the referee for this championship match.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for January 27, 2024

We see Van Viciouss, "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and AJ Francis step out of a limo. Waldo is seen in the background.

Dustin Starr interviews The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and Van Viciouss) at the announce desk. Blaylock says everyone is jealous of them because they have the fame, the muscle and the money, which he pays top dollar for tax. Blaylock then brings out AJ Francis and hands him a stack of $100 bills, and AJ Francis says that "When money calls, you answer the phone." He says that just like cash, he is on demand, then pretends to take a call on the stack of money as he holds it to his ear while disaparaging Elvis Presley. After Francis says they call him "Dolla" because he is all about business, "All The Way" Ray Collins shows up. Collins says he had the feeling Blaylock would buy out AJ Francis with his money, then says he has some cash of his own in the form of Ohio Valley wrestler Cash Flo, who shows up and confronts Francis. Cash Flo says it is great to be back in Memphis, Tennessee, then says listening to The Hollywood Clique and AJ Francis is not great. He says he is tired of them talking down on Ray Collins, who has more heart in one finger than Van Viciouss does in his "pink panties," and tells Viciouss to "nut up or shut up" in a match, and if Viciouss steps up to him, he will punch him right in the mouth. Cash Flo also warns Francis that he knows where he comes from and how he makes his money, then says he makes his money by taking it from fools like Francis.



In the WrestleCenter parking lot, Mackenzie Morgan and Tim Bosby talk in the parking lot and talk about their future plans for 2024 as well as their tag team match today.



Mackenzie Morgan and Tim Bosby beat Devin O'Neal and Nixi XS.



We hear from Cameron Cole, who announces that he has signed with Memphis Wrestling. He says that the fans are a lot of friendly faces, than says he is "really, really good" at being bad. He says it is 2024 and it is time to kick some bad habits, and he has even given up smoking. He then says that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it," and that it is time for everyone to keep their eyes on him and that it is time for "the bad attitude era."



We see a vignette for "The Atrocity" Krule, where Kruel approaches an abandoned house with the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship in his hands. He hands the title on a wooden post chained to the ceiling, much to the delight of Brooklynn.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole shows up for an impromptu interview at the announce desk. He says he will not sit in the back and allow nothing to be done regarding "The Atrocity" Krule's attack on "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, and that he wants Krule in a match next week.



Backstage, Big Nasty Phil and "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn" talk about Brad's lastest loss when Phil notices J. Webb in the background. Phil does not notice J. Webb at all, and thinks that Bradley is seeing things.



We hear from "The Genetic Nightmare" Mike Anthony, who says that there are levels to violence and that the ultimate level of violence has been reached. He says that this will end between himself and K-Toomer this Sunday.



The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowler and Abel Booker) beat Steele Cross (Ethan Steele and Alex Cross).



We hear from Simon, who says that everyone in Memphis Wrestling hates The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) and deems everything their fault. He says that everything they do is the fault of the person behind the camera, who he then beats down. He says that it had to be done, and that nobody ever in Memphis Wrestling or in life will ever stop him, not even the person he beat up. We then find out that the person Simon beat up was Mr. Chris. He then warns the locker room, because he is coming for everybody.



Dustin Starr interviews "DDT" Diana Taylor at the announce desk. She says that her injury was worse than previously thought, but she is on the mend and she will be back at the WrestleCenter. Suddenly, "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx shows up and says that what happened to Diana Taylor is what happens to people who mess with her. As soon as Nyxx turns her back to mock Diana Taylor, Diana hits Nyxx with one of her crutches. Suddenly, Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston show up and attack Diana Taylor from behind before wrapping a metal folding chair around Diana Taylor's injured foot. All of a sudden, Ray Ray Sanders shows up, takes one of Diana's crutches, and scares The Nyxx Network (Nyxx, Sir Matthew, Lord Gaston) out of the ring.



"All The Way" Ray Collins and Cash Flo beat Van Viciouss and AJ Francis. After the match, Francis gets angry with Van Viciouss and eventually punches him out.

Dustin Starr interviews Mackenzie Morgan at the announce desk. Mackenzie thanks the fans for their support in 2023, then tells the locker room that she will whup everybody in 2024.



Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Bashley Bones. Ron Justice is the referee for this match.

We hear from "Big Swole" Justin Cole, Colton Cage, Austin Mulitalo, The L.A. Hustlers, Reverend Ash Taylor, Big John Dalton, The Nyxx Network ("The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx, Matt Williams, Storybook Prince Gaston), Gio Savage and Draco regarding the Grind City Rumble.

Gio Savage and Draco beat Steel Cross (Ethan Steel and Alex Cross). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Gio Savage and Draco at the announce desk. Draco says that eleven months ago, he and Gio Savage have done their thing in the tag team division only to have the past try to steal their spotlight, and if they have to run anyone involved in Memphis' wrestling past with a car, they will do it.



We hear from Big Phil, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn, The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal) and Nixi XS, The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Van Viciouss, Secret Service) and Tim Bosby regarding the Grind City Rumble.



We see footage of Maurice the Strong in the hospital, going through rehab and getting back in shape following his tables match with K-Toomer.



Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against "The Regulator" Terry Wayne. David Knight is the referee for this match.



Michael gets a call from King Cobra and tells him that he has everything under control.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against "The Genetic Nightmare" Mike Anthony and K-Toomer. David Knight is the referee for this match. At the beginning of the match, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels fails to show up for the match, and it is revealed that Brett has been attacked backstage with a metal folding chair. Near the end of the match, Brett Michaels makes it to the ring, his arm purple and hurt. Despite having a hurt arm, Brett Michaels hits Mike Anthony with the GunShow Lariat to retain.

Brighton Brawl 2 - The Results

Note: The matches here are listed in order of video upload and are not indicative of the order in which they actually took place during the show.

Before the next match, Van Viciouss demands that the fans stand up and give him the proper respect. He then says he has "a loser" in the back that he will slap around to show everyone who runs Memphis Wrestling before demanding his opponent be brought out.

"All The Way" Ray Collins beats Van Viciouss with an inside cradle.



Before the next match, Reverend Ash Taylor asks who would donate money to a "worthless baseball team" when they could donate to his collection plate. Brother Bruce agrees, but the fans do not. He also says that Brother Bruce will only have this match if Big John Dalton agrees to join his flock, no questions asked. When Big John Dalton makes it to the ring, Dalton says he is not worried about that, because he will kick Ash Taylor's butt tonight.

Big John Dalton and Waldo beat The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor and Brother Bruce). During the match, Reverend Ash Taylor gets on the apron and distracts Big John Dalton, and when Dalton grabs him, Brother Bruce tries to attack Dalton only for Dalton to duck so Bruce hits Taylor instead. Big John Dalton then goes up to Dustin Starr and asks to make this a tag team match, which Dustin Starr makes official, then picks Waldo - a guy with long hair who is dressed like Waldo from "Where's Waldo?" - out of the crowd for his tag team partner. (Had Big John Dalton lost, he would have had to join The Righteous Path.)



Before the next match, Matt Williams asks why they are in Brighton, Tennessee when Arkansas have a better football team, then says that his daughters are better at softball than the school's girl's softball team. Tim Bosby shows up and states that he takes offense to what Matt Williams just said, then brings out Coach Wallace, who has also taken offense to what he has just said.

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Matt Williams. During the match, Bosby takes down both Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston, who distracts the referee so that Williams can hit Bosby with a low blow. Coach Wallace gets in the ring and hits Storybook Prince Gaston with his own storybook, allowing Bosby to get the win and retain the title. After the match, Coach Wallace gives Gaston the Stunner and pins him for the three-count.



Before the next match, Simon says he has a special gift for "The GunShow" Brett Michaels: Will the Thrill. All of a sudden, a young man with Posse facepaint shows up and teams with Simon. Brett Michaels says he did not come alone either and that he has kinfolk in Brighton, Tennessee, then brings out a young man named Noah from the baseball team shows up in Brett's corner.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Simon. Near the end of the match, Simon and Brett Michaels both hit the referee as they both try to hit each other, and Noah taks out Will the Thrill in the middle of the ring before Brett Michaels hits the GunShow Lariat on Simon to retain. After the match, Will the Thrill shakes hands with Noah and Brett Michaels after Simon yells at Will.



Mackenize Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx after Nyxx tries to walk out of the match only to be outnumbered by the Brighton girl's softball team.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for October 21, 2023

Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer says he is in a good mood this week, as he has a good reason to turn the WrestleCenter into a warzone and beat Mike Anthony. He says he is still giving Anthony the benefit of the doubt, but he wants to do this right, and asks for King Cobra to come out. K-Toomer tells King Cobra that they started out on the wrong foot and that it is respect from here on out, then tells him something will happen whether he allows it or not. King Cobra tells him he just books the matches as Dustin Starr says that Mike Anthony is banned from the WrestleCenter. All of a sudden, Mike Anthony shows up in the parking lot where he is kept away from the building, and K-Toomer heads to the parking lot and brawls with Mike Anthony. Mike Anthony tries to hit K-Toomer with a chair, but K-Toomer powerbombs him into a dumpster full of cardboard and throws the chair in it with him. Mike Anthony gets out and hits him in the head as it is near a trailer. K-Toomer is still able to fight back, and when he takes the chair, Mike Anthony dares him to hit him with the chair, saying he doesn't have it in him to do it. Big Dan stops K-Toomer from hitting Mike Anthony with the chair, and Mike Anthony is removed from the premises.



Backstage, Ruffshot Lamont tells Notorious Bradley that they are doing "bad business" due to Barnabas the Producer, who he says has cost him a tag team title shot. Suddenly, Barnabas states that he has a vision that in one week, everything will be squashed, for he is taking them all the way to the top when he will be in the main event. The L.A. Hustlers (Ruffshot Lamont and Notorious Bradley) are excited at first until they realize it is the Monster Brawl match.



"Casanova" Colton Cage guests on commentary for the next match.

"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats "The Regulator" Terry Wayne. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Justin Cole at the announce desk. Colton Cage congratulates Justin Cole on getting back on track despite stating that he has dropped the ball lately on commentary during the match, and Dustin Starr says he cannot wait for Justin Cole to watch the match back.



Backstage, Terrence Ward interviews Tim Grind. Tim Grind says that in all the years he has been in the business, The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) has taken it too far by kidnapping and brainwashing his son as well as trying to run Flex over with a truck. He says he will have a better update on Flex next week, then notices a man with a motorcycle helmet and confronts him over two weeks ago. The man with the helmet says he did not do it, then Flex says he has to find out who tried to run Flex over.



Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Gio Savage and Draco. Will Gibson is the championship official for this match. After the match, Gio Savage and Draco take the tag team titles, then hand them to Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders personally and raise their hands in a sign of respect.



We hear from Shalonce Royal, who says she is back to take the championship that she never got a shot at, and after changing the women's division in Ohio Valley Wrestling, she plans to change another and become the new queen. We then hear from Mackenzie Morgan, who says that she is defending against Shalonce Royal as she tells Tim Bosby that the main event will be no easy task. Tim Bosby then announces that in two weeks, he and "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane will have a rematch to make it a best of five and that he will have Mackenzie Morgan in his corner.





Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. Suddenly, the man who served Dustin Starr with papers last week shows up, and Dustin Starr identifies him as a lawyer. The lawyer calls Dustin Starr an egomaniac who thinks that everything is about him and that his balloon is about to pop, then serves The GunShow with papers. The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Van Viciouss, Secret Service) soon shows up, and "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock accuses Brett Michaels of jumping him in the AutoZone Park parking lot and Dustin Starr of covering it up. Blaylock also says he has not been able to work because of The GunShow and that he cannot drive himself anywhere or even make love to his wife without the help of his team, and that he will sue The GunShow for all of his money. Van Viciouss states that his lawyers have told him not to say anything.



Backstage, "All The Way" Ray Collins says the fans call him "All The Way" for a reason, and that it is easier to show why than to explain why. He says the fans gave it to him, then "The Pope" Elijah Burke made it official. As far as what's next is concerned, he says to stay tuned.



Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Shalonce Royal. Marty Elias is the championship official for this match. During the match, "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane show up and distract not only Mackenzie, but also referee Marty Elias, who does not see Shalonce Royal pinning Mackenzie with a roll-up. When Austin and Nikki show up, so does Tim Bosby. Mackenzie retains with a belly-to-belly suplex. After the match, Tim Bosby confronts Austin Lane when he and Nikki get in the ring. Bosby and Mackenzie have a stare down with Austin and Nikki in the middle of the ring.

Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris).



"Big Swole" Justin Cole beats "Astonishing" Austin Mulitalo after Mulitalo takes a drink from Swole's mixing cup.



Reverend Ash Taylor shows up and says that he has seen everyone at the fair drown their sins in deep-fried food and cheap alcohol, then says he is here for Big John Dalton and wants to know where he is at. Big John Dalton shows up and gives a child his sunglasses before Reverend Ash Taylor asks him to be part of The Righteous Path (Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt). Dalton says he is just here to enjoy the fair and not to talk to him, but Reverend Ash Taylor says the fans can wait and that all he has to do is make the right decision and join, even offering him a cut of the money from the collection plate, and all he has to do is shake his hand. Dalton shakes his hand, but fails to let go and squeezes his hand hard before slamming Reverend Ash Taylor in the middle of the ring, hitting him with a splash from the top rope and walking off with the collection plate.



Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against "DDT" Diana Taylor.



When Mikey faces Matt Williams, he also has to contend with Storybook Prince Gaston. Mikey takes the microphone and states that he knew this would happen, and that he has somebody who will have his back: Tim Bosby.

Tim Bosby and Mikey beat Ellsworth Enterprises (Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston) after Ellsworth Enterprises' attempt to beg Bosby off fails and results in both Matt Williams and Gaston getting a German suplex.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Van Viciouss after taking out both members of Secret Service for their constant interference in the match.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for September 16, 2023

Dustin Starr interviews Mackenzie Morgan at the announce desk. Mackenzie is now quite sure what to do as champion since winning the women's title from Nyxx, and after a replay of how Mackenzie won the title, Nixi XS and The O'Neal Brothers (Devin and Steven O'Neal) show up. Nixi XS says Mackenzie Morgan is not a real champion as she is broke and tired and her title is the only thing of value that she has. Mackenzie takes this a challenge, and Nixi XS says that if Mackenzie does give it to her, the O'Neal Brothers will make it happen.

Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Nixi XS after The O'Neal Brothers (Devin and Steven O'Neal) distract the referee and hold down Mackenzie only for Mackenzie to duck and Nixi XS to hit the wrong target.

We see footage from the WrestleCenter meet and greet with "The Real1" NZO (formerly Enzo Amore).



Dustin Starr interviews "The Real1" NZO (formerly Enzo Amore) at the announce desk. As NZO shows up with his own microphone, leads his usual chants and heads to the ring, The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Van Viciouss, Secret Service) shows up. Blaylock and Viciouss says NZO should be checking in with them, because they run things in Memphis and Viciouss was on the highest-rated episode of Young Rock. As Blaylock boasts that he has NZO's twin brother with him today, NZO says The Hollywood Clique is "a curtain fall" and not "a curtain call," then says Viciouss "told Victoria's Secret" and bought his outfit from there as the fans chant "pink panties." Blaylock then brings out BENZO - a Secret Service member with a fake blonde wig - and NZO asks who wore pink better between him and Viciouss, with the fans picking NZO. Viciouss says he will beat NZO all over the ring, and NZO threatens to beat the diabetes out of Blaylock and put Viciouss in a "cankle lock" before challenging Viciouss to a match.



"The Real1" NZO beats Van Viciouss despite the constant interference from "BENZO."



Tim Grind shows up at the WrestleCenter with his mystery ally, who is out of sight.



Backstage, Mike Anthony and K-Toomer talk about the upcoming Fatal 5-Way Match. Anthony says K-Toomer stepped up when he had no friends, and now they have to step up against each other and three other opponents. Both agrees that this is just business. Uncle Mikey shows up and asks if they can believe they are all in the Fatal 5-Way Match, then says he can be serious as well and leaves. We then hear from "Casanova" Colton Cage. Cage says he has made both good and bad decisions, but they have all led him to next week's Fatal 5-Way Match to become #1 contender for the Memphis Heritage Championship and he plans to walk out the winner. We also hear from "Big Swole" Justin Cole, who says that he is also in that match as he tells all of his opponents to pack a lunch.



Backstage, Terrence Ward interviews Tim Bosby. Bosby says he pinned and submitted Austin Lane, but Austin Lane needed Nikki Lane's help to get his two wins. He then says that when he looks for Austin Lane, he cannot find him, and he tells Austin Lane to be a man because he is looking to get the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship and Austin Lane will not beat him a third time.

We see segments of Dustin Starr's recent interview with JTG, who is coming to Memphis Wrestling next weekend.



Dustin Starr interviews Tim Grind at the announce desk. Tim Grind says he did not show up alone, and addresses not just The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) but also Lance McKay, saying Lance has made his choice, and while he will always love him, he will step into the ring with Tim Grind and not his father next time. He then calls out The Posse and Lance, and they all show up as Tim Grind gets in the ring. The Posse and Lance surround the ring and gang up on him, but Tim Grind outsmarts The Posse and has Lance where he wants him as he pulls off his belt. Tim Grind finally get his hands on Lance as he escapes and whips him with the belt, but The Posse attack Tim from behind. Simon and Mr. Chris whip Tim Grind with his own belt before handing the belt to Lance. As Lance is about to strike Tim Grind, Flex - Tim Grind's partner in Too Cool II - shows up and fends Lance and The Posse off. Dustin Starr interviews Tim Grind and Flex at the announce desk, and Tim Grind says blood is thicker than water, and they both agree "That's the business, dawg!"

Bicentennial Bash at the 2023 Dyer County Fair - The Results

Note: the matches are in order of YouTube upload and are not indicative of the order in which the matches took place.

Tim Bosby beats "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane by disqualified after "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane hits Bosby with a low blow in full view of the referee. "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship. After the match, Nikki Lane holds the Internet Championship against Bosby's back so that Austin Lane can smack it into Bosby's back with a clothesline from behind. Mackenzie Morgan then shows up, and Austin and Nkkki Lane both retreat, and Mackenzie makes it clear that she is tired of Austin and Nikki bullying Bosby and wants a mixed tag match. The match becomes official, much to Austin and Nikki's chagrin.

Tim Bosby and Mackenzie Morgan quickly beat "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane in a mixed tag match.



Before the next match, "Delicious" Van Viciouss wants Dustin Starr to tell the fans how big of a star he is and demands not only a proper introduction, but respect from the fans before heading back to the back.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against "Delicious" Van Viciouss after ducking a punch with a gold chain wrapped around it and hitting the GunShow Lariat after putting the gold chain in his trunks so Van Viciouss cannot use it again.



In the main event, K-Toomer, Mike Anthony and King Cobra beat The Roberts Family Legacy ("The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, Cordale Roberts, Big Red) in a grudge match after Big Red inadvertently knocks Justin Case out with a closed fist with a chain wrapped around it before King Cobra hits Big Red with a pipe.



Reverend Ash Taylor suddenly shows up with his collection plate and says he should be on every single show that Memphis Wrestling has and that everyone should hear what he has to say. The fans beg to differ, but Reverend Ash Taylor says he does not care what the fans think. He then says that for 200 years, Dyer County, Mississippi has been "nothing but a cesspool," and he got here after being led by a whistling sound from the collective gaps of the teeth of the people of Dyer County. Reverend Ash Taylor says that he deserves a match and that he will have one, and when Dustin Starr tells him he does not have an opponent tonight, he entertains fighting someone in the crowd at first before entertaining fighting Dustin Starr, as "It would be short work, anyway." Dustin says that as much as he would like to punch him in the face, he is here to host, not fight. Reverend Ash Taylor then calls this a bunch of excuses and says that if Dustin will not fight him, he will fight referee David Knight, who is already in the ring, as nobody seems to be brave enough to fight him. He also says that he will have this fight whether Dustin wants him to or not. Dustin lets the match go ahead, and after Reverend Ash Taylor takes off his robe, David Knight hits Reverend Ash Taylor with the Stunner as soon as he turns around and gets the pinfall victory.



Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King retain the Memphis Wrestlng Tag Team Championship against Ellsworth Enterprises (Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston) after Matt Williams inadvertently hits Gaston and Ray Ray Sanders hits the splash off a stack of hay bales.



Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's championship against "The Goddess of the Night" Nyxx after ducking a belt shot from Nyxx and pinning her with a schoolkid pin.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for August 5, 2023

Mike Anthony and K-Toomer beat The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony and K-Toomer at the announce desk. After Mike Anthony leads the crowd into a chant by taking the microphone around the ring, Mike Anthony says that Memphis Wrestling is on fire. K-Toomer then names the move he used to beat Notorious Bradley "the Seismic Toss." K-Toomer then says that they want all the smoke, especially after what happened to King Cobra, and from here on out, it will be no talking and all action.



In footage from last week, "The Gunshow" Brett Michaels throws the first pitch for the Memphis Redbirds at AutoZone Park.



We see footage of the Dirty Bird Brawl between Big John Dalton and Matt Williams for the Ingomar Dirty Birds Championship. All of a sudden, Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston show up, demanding the footage be stopped. Matt Williams says the match was not a fair fight due to everyone who got involved despite wanting a street fight-style match, and says that if it were a regular one-on-one match, he would have beaten Big Jon, and demands one so he can prove it.

Matt Williams vs. Big John Dalton ends in a no-contest. During the match, Kruel shows up dragging a casket to the ring. Matt Williams and Storybook Prince Gaston stand with Big John Dalton at first, but then run away so that Kruel can choke slam Big John. Afterwards, Kruel takes the microphone and says everybody dies except him and that one cannot kill what is already dead, and next week, he will close the lid on Lance Archer's life forever.



We see Simon talking with Lance McCade, saying that the Lance he knows would have won the Internet Championship, and tells Lance that he will do great regardless of what he has to do, as he cannot stop or let up. Mr. Chris tells Lance he will take it to the top because he has what it takes. Lance then tells Tim Grind that it is nothing personal and that it is just business.



We see more footage of Memphis Wrestling's Wrestling Night at AutoZone Park.



Mackenzie Morgan beats Brooklyn.



We hear from King Cobra, who says not much has changed as he beat Big Red back in the day and will have to do it again. He says that he retired because he thought he was too old to fight, but he cannot seem to stay out of it, and that Big Red will regret hitting him with a Kendo stick.



"All The Way" Ray Collins beats "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt after Reverend Ash Taylor tries to introduce his collection plate into the match as a weapon and fails while Brother Bruce distracts the referee.



"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane are seen entering the WrestleCenter.

Austin Lane says he tried to make Memphis Wrestling viral again by choking out Dr. Tom Prichard, but Tim Bosby got in his way. He says Nikki told him that they have a plan and that Prichard was closed to getting choked out, then he calls out Bosby. Bosby shows up, and Austin Lane tells him that if he wants to stick his nose in this business and step up to him, then he can put the Internet Championship on the line right now. Bosby tells Austin Lane he beat him twice and asks him if he wants to do this for a third time. Austin Lane says he is not scared and asks if Bosby is, then asks for a referee so he can show him the two victories were a fluke. Bosby accepts the challenge, and the match happens right now.

"The Best of the Best" Austin Lane beats Tim Bosby to become the Memphis Wrestling Internet Champion after "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane trips Bosby and Austin Lane chokes Bosby out with the guillotine choke to the point that Bosby passes out.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for July 15, 2023

Dustin Starr interviews "Casanova" Colton Cage at the announce desk. Colton Cage says he has been winning his last three matches and that it is time to take the next step into the main event, then "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Uncle Phil show up. Bradley says he heard something about the main event and that he answers the call when told this is not his time, then says he has won championships and run Uncle Mikey out of Memphis Wrestling and tells Colton Cage to step up to "Main Event Bradley" if he thinks he is ready for the main event. Colton Cage accepts the challenge.

"Casanova" Colton Cage beats "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn after taking out an interfering Uncle Phil.



Dustin Starr interviews Tim Grind and Lance McCade at the announce desk. Grind says it feels great to be back on Memphis Wrestling and thanks everyone for their support for both him and Lance, who he says is being trained by the best trainers. He says that Tim Bosby made a mistake putting his hands on his son Lance and lighting a fire inside of him, then says Bosby can make all the excuses he wants when he earned a shot at his title on Beale Street, and in 45 minutes, he will show Bosby how to be a champion before he and Lance have a father-son celebration.



Mackenzie Morgan beats Cassandra Golden to become #1 contender for the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship.



We hear from Tim Bosby, who says that Tim Grind had one opportunity, ran with it and got lucky while he is great everyday and has held the Internet Championship for 224 days. He says that Tim Grind will not beat him a second time, as nobody beats him twice because he is second to none.



Reverend Ash Taylor - and his podium - guests on commentary for the next match.

Brother Bruce beats Alex Cross after "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt distracts the referee and Sister Jennifer holds Alex Cross' leg down at the top rope.



We hear from The Hollywood Clique. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock says they will be in the studio next week, and he wants "The GunShow" Brett Michaels to be there next week, as Van Viciouss will whip him like a dog.



The O'Neal Brothers (??? and ???) beat The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) by disqualification after The O'Neal Brothers are attacked by Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders. After the match, Ray Ray Sanders tells The O'Neal Brothers that they repaid the favor after last week, and Derrick King says he is thinking more about The Olsen Twins more than The O'Neal Brothers - even displaying a fan sign saying "The Olsen Twins Got Fat" - and says The O'Neal Brothers can name the place and time if they want a challenge.

Before the next match, Tim Grind tries to get a hold of Lance McKade, but he cannot.

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Tim Grind.
