Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 26, 2025

Dustin Starr interviews "The Problem" Aaron Roberts, "The Chosen One" Zay Washington and Justin Case at the announce desk. Justin Case says Roberts had a problem and took care of it, and Washington says he is tired of "The GunShow" Brett Michaels getting opportunities and that he will beat him and become the Heritage Champion. Robert tells the WWE ID Prospects that this is his house and threatens to fight any one of them. All of a sudden, Jackson Drake shows up, introduces himself and says he is here to solve a problem. He says he looks at Roberts and sees not a problem, but a joke and "a 400 lb. parade floatie with anger issues" who wants to fight people, then says he is just "the baddest man talking." Referees have to stop a brawl from breaking out after Drake challenges Roberts for next week.



We see footage from earlier in the week of Oso watching "The Gift" Ray Sanders training in the WrestleCenter. Oso tells Sanders that he hopes to hear from him.



The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce and Marrow), now without Reverend Ash Taylor, beat The Disorderlies (Disorderly #1 and Disorderly #2).



We see footage of Reverend Ash Taylor travelling down a dirt road and into a forest with his jacket in one hand and his collection plate in the other. He soon finds a sign in the leaves, and it leads him to an abandoned barn-like building. We then hear a news report for The Slaugterhouse ("Jagged" James Dean and "Ruthless" Nick James).



"The Chosen One" Zay Washington beats CJ Blaine following the distraction by CJ Money and Mama Money. After the match, CJ Money and Mama Money get in the ring, and CJ hits Blaine in the back with a leather belt.



Backstage, Nixi XS tries to call someone to help her deal with Diana Taylor when Sevyn Cruz and KJ Rockett show up and propose to back Nixi up against Diana.

Mike Anthony retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against J. Webb after taking a piece of candy out of Makkari Kandy's candy bucket. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony at the announce desk. After mentioning that the sour candy he just got was extra sour, Anthony declares another victory before asking who is next.



Backstage, Tim Grind and Xya Wolfe are met by Lil' Homie Lance, who shows up with new jerseys and a new name - the Bizzness Dawgs - and makes it clear he wants a piece of The L.A. Hustlers. Grind says Lance is not ready, but Lance says they can work as a team.



Wonderboy beats Larintiz X.



In backstage footage from earlier this week, Matchmaker King Cobra meets with Tim Bosby. He finds out that his rematch with Marko Harris will be two-out-of-three falls and will have the Cobra Cup on the line. Bosby is okay with the first stipulation, but has to think about the second one.



Indi Hartwell and Diana Taylor beat Nixi XS and KJ Rockett.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for March 15, 2025

Big Nasty Phil beats "Main Event" Bradley in a Family Feud Grudge Match by disqualification after Bradley kicks Phil in the groin following Phil smacking him in the back with his belt. After the match, Bradley heads to the back, grabs a metal folding chair and hits Phil with it before wrapping the chair around Phil's ankle, jumping off the ring steps and stomping the chair. Officials flood the outside as Bradley goes for another stomp onto the chair, this time from the top rope, which Bradley hits. Officials have to check on Phil afterwards. Phil cannot put any weight on his right ankle as he is helped to the back.



Backstage, an elated "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock tells his Secret Service agents that Ray Collins and Jay Smooth will be in the ladder match for the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships.



The Righteous Path (Sister Asa and Morrow) beat Makkari Kandy and J. Webb. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The Righteous Path and Reverend Ash Taylor. Reverend Ash Taylor asks the crowd if they expected anything different, then says they have gotten rid of The Memphis Mizarks (Barnabas the Ringmaster, Jacksyn Crowley, Abel Booker) and that they will continue to push forward as he demands that the fans take his hand and follow them as they climb the ladder and take what belongs to his family: the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships.



We hear from Ray Ray Sanders, who says it has been an honor to wrestle with Derrick King for the last three years in Memphis and the whole Mid-South, but it is all up to him. He says it is cool, as Derrick has prepared him for this moment and this is his time. He announces that "The Gift" has arrived.



Ray Ray Sanders, now known as "The Gift" Ray Sanders, beats The Shocker. Both men show good sportsmanship after the match.



We see footage of Jamie Noble coaching at the WrestleCenter.



Tim Grind and Xya Wolfe beat Sevyn Cruz and KJ Rockett in a mixed tag team match.



We see a vignette for The Slaughterhouse ("Jagged" James Dean and "Ruthless" Nick James).



"The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth beats "The Problem" Aaron Roberts despite the distraction by "The Chosen One" Zay Washington and after a distraction by Cappuccino Jones as Roberts goes for the Problem Bomb, which allows Nemeth to hit a distracted Roberts with the Danger Zone for the win.

SuperBout IV, Part One - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 8, 2025



Maria Starr is on commentary for SuperBout.

Before the next match, Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony at the announce desk. Before the next match, Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony at the announce desk. After Mike Anthony hopes for even more SuperBouts, he wants to know who will face him, saying that once one steps in the ring with him, they do not step back out.

Mike Anthony retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Dorian Vain (who has appeared under the names Jason Vain and Adamas Vain in Memphis Wrestling in the past and has wrestled all over the Mid-South, including Bluff City Wrestling and EPW).



We hear from "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, who tells "The Problem" Aaron Roberts that the clock is ticking and that he will be in for the biggest fight of his life in two weeks at SuperBout, and that The New Wave ("The Problem" Aaron Roberts, Justin Case, "The Chosen One" Zay Washington, Denzel Rollins) is looking down the barrel of a GunShow Lariat. He says that he is coming for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship at SuperBout IV.



Before the next match, "Main Event" Bradley states that he is renaming the SuperBout Battle Royal the "Main Event Bradley Battle Royal." Suddenly, "The Cowboy" James Storm shows up and says he is here to make some beer money by beating somebody up, and that the somebody in question is Bradley, who he punches in the face.

"The Cowboy" James Storm last eliminates Big Nasty Phil after getting Phil to inadvertently eliminate "Main Event" Bradley to win the second annual SuperBout Battle Royal.



We hear from "The Problem" Aaron Roberts. He says it takes a lot to fill his father's shoes, but he is the baddest man and nobody can do anything about it, including "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, who gets one last shot at him and the Heritage title, and says he had best not miss.



Dustin Starr interviews The Righteous Path ("Reverend" Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, Marrow, Sister Asa) at the announce desk. As "Reverend" Ash Taylor says a prayer for the souls they will put to rest today, Barnabas the Ringleader shows up and says the time for talking is over and that it is time to fight as The Twins of Salem go at it with Brother Bruce and Marrow. The mysterious woman, now known as Black Dahlia, then shows up with a chainsaw, and the match soon makes its way to the ring.

The Righteous Path ("Reverend" Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, Marrow, Sister Asa) beat The Memphis Mizarks (Barnabas the Ringleader, Jacksyn Crowley, Abel Booker, Black Dahlia) in an eight-person tag match after Brother Bruce and Marrow double team Barnabas as he has "Reverend" Ash Taylor where he wants him.



Sycho Simon beats Derrick King in Derrick King's retirement match.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for December 7, 2024

Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. GunShow says that "The Problem" Aaron Roberts is running around signing contracts, but keeps ducking the contract for the Heritage title match at Milestone 200. He says he has signed, but Roberts is ducking him, and now, he is going to handle business with Matchmaker King Cobra. King Cobra says he has done everything he can and does not know what else to do, and states there is no stipulation that he says can force Roberts to sign. King Cobra says he can suspend Roberts, but GunShow would have to fight his way from the bottom up again. Roberts says he will defend the title when he feels like it and that he has better things to do, and GunShow says either Roberts will sign the contract, or he will make him sign it.



Backstage, Diana Taylor meets with Makkari Kandy and J. Webb, saying they have a big match today.



The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce and Marrow) beats The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) after Sister Asa distracts Jacksyn Crowley in the corner.

We see footage of Big John Dalton training for the Grind City Rumble.



We hear from Colton Cage, who says it is a beautiful day to be a beautiful day and that he is ready for action today.

Dustin Starr interviews Butterbean at the announce desk. Butterbean says Memphis is "where real wrestling started" and talks about the Jake Paul/Mike Tyson fight, saying it was "more of a punching bag match." As he claims that Jake Paul refuses to fight him, "Main Event" Bradley - dressed like Butterbean - and Big Nasty Phil show up. Bradley says Butterbean may be a legend, but there are three men he cannot knock out - Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, and himself. Bradley says that he is coming for Butterbean and knows that he can put him on the ground, then Big John Dalton shows up for the next match. Butterbean guests on commentary.



Big John Dalton beats "Main Event" Bradley after Bradley confronts Butterbean at the announce desk only to get knocked out.



The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) beat CJ Squared (CJ Money and CJ Blaine). After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The L.A. Hustlers at the announce desk, demanding that they leave the tag team titles at the desk. They refuse, claiming to have beaten Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex) and shoving Dustin before Too Kool II show up and start a brawl. Referees, officials and even Matchmaker King Cobra show up to break up the brawl, and King Cobra makes a Hustle Hard match between the two teams for Milestone 200 before confiscating the tag team titles, which will be on the line for the match.



Colton Cage beats Kale. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Colton Cage at the announce desk. Colton says he has put another soul down with Cupid's Arrow, then says it was more than a victory; it was a statement. He then says he is ready for the Grind City Rumble.



Backstage, we hear from Tim Bosby, who says that he watched Jonathan Gresham's matches with Zack Sabre Jr. as he was coming up and that he will give Gresham everything has while knowing Gresham will give him even more. He says that he is focused not just on Gresham, but the Grind City Rumble, which he plans to win.



Nixi XS and C-Rex beat Diana Taylor and Makkari Kandy.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for November 9, 2024

Dustin Starr interviews Tim Bosby at the announce table. Bosby says he made "The Problem" Aaron Roberts tap out, but Justin Case got involved, and asks Matchmaker King Cobra to come to the announce table, as they have things to discuss. King Cobra shows up, and Bosby wants another shot at the Heritage title, but this time, Justin Case must be barred from the building. King Cobra says he can do that, and makes the match official for next week.



Draco is seen making his way into the WrestleCenter.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Sevyn Cruz. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews The GunShow at the announce desk. GunShow makes it clear that it does not matter who he faces for the Heritage Championship, as the champion has him next. He then tells "The Problem" Aaron Roberts "I'm comin' for your ass!"



Dustin Starr interviews Draco at the announce desk. Draco says the phone has been ringing off the hook for the last few weeks and that social media wants to know why he he ran Gio Savage over. He says that he gave Gio Savage every opportunity to prove how savage he was and failed tremendously, then says that he is what he says he is, and that he will prove he is the only savage in Memphis Wrestling. Draco says that he is here for what he wants, not what the fans want, and that he wants Mike Anthony and the Internet Championship and that he will become champion today.



The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) beat The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce and Marrow) after Sister Asa shows up with a red shinai as Reverend Ash Taylor distracts the referee only for Barnabas the Ringleader to show up and take the shinai away. He then slides it into the ring, and Brother Bruce gets smacked with it.



We see a video package revolving around Derrick King's retirement.



Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, who is okay after a car accident from October 16th. He says that somebody run him off the road as we see pictures of his wrecked vehicle, then brings out Ray Collins. Ray Collins shows up, and as Blaylock praises Collins, Jay Smooth shows up wanting another shot at joining The Hollwyood Clique. An irritated Blaylock gives Smooth another shot, saying he will have to beat Ray Collins to join.

Jay Smooth beats Ray Collins after Collins gets caught using "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock's cane for leverage during a Figure Four Leg Lock and gets caught. Blaylock argues with the referee, then Collins does the same before Jay Smooth wins with a schoolkid pin. After the match, Jay Smooth celebrates, and Collins and Blaylock want nothing to do with this, as do the Secret Service members.



Dustin Starr interviews Sycho Simon at the announce desk. Simon says he wants "Dustin Starr's buddy" here, or else. When asked for specific, Simon says he is tired of being specific, and if Dustin's friend is not here, someone else will take his place. Sycho Simon then enters the face dressing room, then comes out with another young man - James Curtis, a WrestleCenter trainee - who he throws towards the ring before going on the attack. Simon then hits him with the elbow drop before a referee finally enters the ring, and now two referees are telling Simon to stop. Simon then hits James Curtis with another elbow drop. Simon then threatens to drag someone else into the ring every week until he gets who he wants, and until he does, it will be on Dustin Starr.



Backstage, Xya Wolf interviews Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex). Tim Grind says they have been defending the tag team titles since they have won them, and that it is not The L.A. Hustlers' (Notorius Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont) turn. He says that they built the streets that The L.A. Hustlers claim they rule. Flex says that they stand on business and will do so against The L.A. Hustlers and whoever else faces them for the tag team titles.



Mike Anthony retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against Draco following the distraction by Gio Savage.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for August 17, 2024

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats CJ Money. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Brett Michaels at the announce table. Brett says he has new sights on "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts and tells him to get ready for "The GunShow," then K-Toomer shows up. K-Toomer says he does not care if Brett Michaels wants his shot, then says he will get his shot after he gets revenge for what Aaron Roberts and Justin Case did to him. He warns Aaron Roberts and Justin Case that he is coming for blood, then calls them out. When told by Dustin Starr that Aaron Roberts and Justin Case will have a championship celebration later today, K-Toomer says they have nothing to celebrate.



Backstage, Too Kool II meets with Matchmaker King Cobra. Tim Grind says Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston are doing everything they can not to lose the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships, and King Cobra tells them that in the next match, if they try anything again, they will lose the titles. After Too Kool II leaves, J. Webb shows up to tell Kin Cobra that his teddy bear has ended up missing.

Big John Dalton and "All The Way" Ray Collins beat "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Big Nasty Phil.



Dustin Starr interviews Tim Bosby at the announce desk. He says that he had a great Internet Championship match with "All The Way" Ray Collins in Pontotoc, Mississippi, then proposes a "Bosby Invitational" against anyone who wants to face him for the title and mentions that Jonathan Gresham is here. Bosby then says that other people want to face him for the title, including Big John Dalton, and says that whoever wants some can come get some.

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against "The Walking Red Flag" Colton Cage in a Bosby Open Invitational match with the ankle lock. Referee David Knight is the championship official for this match.



Dustin Starr interviews Jonathan Gresham at the announce desk. It is announced that Gresham has joined the Memphis Wrestling roster in a full-time capacity and will be a coach and mentor for up-and-coming stars. Gresham thanks the fans and says it has been an honor to travel around the world and compete, then The Lane Dynasty ("The Best of the Best" Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane) shows up for the first time in months. Austin Lane says he is here to see Memphis Wrestling's newest mentor and that he considers Gresham one of the best technical wrestlers in professional wrestling, but declares that he is "The Best of the Best" in the ring. Austin says he had to show up after Memphis Wrestling advertised "the best wrestler," and after Dustin Starr apologizes, Gresham says he saw this coming. When Nikki Lane demands respect from Gresham, Jordynne Grace shows up. Jordynne confronts The Lane Dynasty, and Gresham says he did not show up without back-up before issues a challenge to The Lane Dynasty, which the fans are all for. The Lane Dynasty are seen backing up into the locker room.



Backstage, Zaya interviews Mike Anthony, who is silent the whole time. "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock's Secret Service agents and tells Mike Anthony to say what he was told to say, and Mike Anthony removes his hood and walks away.

Derrick King and Ray Ray Sanders beat The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce and Marrow) by disqualification after Reverend Ash Taylor shoves Ray Ray Sanders off the top turnbuckle. After the match, The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Bruce, Marrow) continue to attack Ray Ray and Derrick, and Reverend Ash Taylor hits Ray Ray Sanders in the back with a shinai. The Righteous Path runs away after Derrick King threatens them with a chair. Reverend Ash Taylor says that when he prays for Memphis Wrestling, he dreams of war and lies, and that it is not the beast under the bed that one must not be afraid of. He says that The Righteous Path is here to save Memphis Wrestling, and one all has to do is take his hand.



We see footage from after las week's show of K-Toomer struggling to get up and being helped to the back after losing the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship last week.

Dustin Starr interviews "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts and Justin Case at the announce desk. Justin Case demands respect for Aaron Roberts for becoming Memphis Wrestling's first-ever Grand Slam Champion, and says there is nothing left for Aaron Roberts to do. K-Toomer shows up, and he and Aaron Roberts immediately brawl. Justin Case hits K-Toomer from behind, but it is a distraction that allows Roberts to hit K-Toomer with a chop block. "The GunShow" Brett Michaels shows up and fights Aaron Roberts, then K-Toomer and "The GunShow" fight over Aaron Roberts before ultimately brawling with each other, which referees and security has to break up. Justin Case holds Aaron Roberts back as the brawl goes on, and members of the locker room have to get involved as the show ends.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for July 27, 2024

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats Luke Justice with two GunShow Lariats. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Brett Michaels at the announce desk, and Brett Michaels asks K-Toomer if he is ready, for he is coming for what belongs to him. Suddenly, K-Toomer shows up and stares down Brett, then addresses "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, saying that the next time he sees him, it is on sight.



Backstage, Justin Case speaks with "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, saying K-Toomer now has a big problem. Roberts says he does not care what K-Toomer wants or needs, as he wants the Heritage Championship and he will walk out of the ring with it.



Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex) beat The Nyxx Network (Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston) by disqualification after Gaston smacks the referee after using him as a human shield. The Nyxx Network (Sir Matthew and Lord Gaston) retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships. Referee David Knight is the championship official for this match.



It is revealed that J. Webb has been attacked in the parking lot by Sycho Simon and that Simon has taken J. Webb's doll hostage.



After the commercial break, Assistant Matchmaker Michaels tries to assist J. Webb in the parking lot. Sycho Simon is nowhere to be seen.

We hear from "The Walking Red Flag" Colton Cage, saying that the last months or so has not gone his way before re-introducing himself to the fans.

"The Walking Red Flag" Colton Cage beats Tyler Thorn.



We hear from Lord Crewe, who is coming to Memphis Wrestling in two weeks. Lord Crewe introduces himself, saying he has set fire to the United Wrestling Network and has fought men in over 25 states, Canada, Japan and all over the world. He now finds himself in Memphis to find the biggest, meanest men in professional wrestling and he wants to see what Memphis has to offer.



We will hear from Marti Belle next week!

Nixi XS and Raven Black beat "Dangerous" Diana Taylor and Makkari Kandy.



We hear from Kirk Swiss, who says that he has talked about how great the past was and how great the future will become, but he must talk about the present, as Memphis is at a deficit and does not have the wrestlers and champions that it needs. He asks the fans for their support so they can all make make Memphis great again.



Backstage, "All The Way" Ray Collins and Tim Bosby meet. Both men shake hands, agreeing that the best man will win.



Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against "All The Way" Ray Collins. Referee David Knight is the championship official for this match.



Dustin Starr interviews Coach Pillar, who is carrying the Ansley Cup for the Rumble On The Trail winner, to promote Rumble On The Trail 2. All of a sudden, Reverend Ash Taylor and Brother Bruce show up, and Ash Taylor says that everyone's time for absolution will come before announcing that Marrow has atoned for his sins and has come back to The Righteous Path. Marrow shows up, then Reverend Ash Taylor commands him to save his opponent. Marrow gets in the ring. Coach Pillar guests on commentary for the next match.



Marrow vs. Denzel Rollins ends in a no-contest after Brother Bruce gets physically involved in the match. After the match, Reverend Ash Taylor is about to strike Denzel Rollins in the back with his red shinai when Coach Pillar confronts him. Brother Bruce grabs Coach Pillar and replaces Denzel Rollins with him in the matter. Marrow and Brother Bruce gang up on and attack Coach Pillar, ripping the back of his shirt so that Reverend Ash Taylor can strike him in the back with a red shinai. Ash Taylor breaks the shinai over Coach Pillar's back as security moves in.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for May 4, 2024

Pete Pranica guests on commentary for this week.

Dustin Starr interviews Tim Bosby at the announce desk. Bosby mentions losing the Internet Championship to "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts, but says that when you get knocked down, you get right back up, and that is what he plans on doing. He tells Aaron Roberts he wants his rematch so he can become a three-time Internet Champion. "The Chosen One" Zay Washington shows up and agrees with Tim Bosby regarding the Internet Championship and respect something, but Bosby wants something that he also wants, and proposes that they have a match right now. Assistant Matchmaker Michael shows up and mentions that Justin Case and Aaron Roberts are not here, and proposes putting them in a tag team match right now.



Tim Bosby and "The Chosen One" Zay Washington beat The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal).



Backstage, Big John Dalton is talking with Coach Pillar about the Boston Marathon when The Nyxx Network (Sir Matt and Lord Gaston) shows up. Sir Matt says Big John's win against Gaston does not count as they make fun of his appearance before saying that he will not win against him because he is "a big, fat loser." When Matt and Gaston leaves, Buff Bagwell shows up to have a conversation regarding The Nyxx Network.



Backstage, "The GunShow" Brett Michaels meets with Matchmaker King Cobra, wanting The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt, Marrow) today by any means necessary, even if it means he gets one person in each corner.



We hear from "All Heart" Blake Christian, who apologizes to "The Chosen One" Zay Washington before stating that things change with fame and money and that one can either crumble and disappear or become even greater than one could imagine. He admits that the latter option is a lonely road but can lead to championship gold, then mentions Zay's match for the Internet Championship and entertains the idea of winning the Internet title off of him.



Backstage, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn tells Big Nasty Phil that J. Webb has been putting them through the ringer, and that he is sick of it. He says that today, J. Webb has nobody in his corner, and tells Phil to break J. Webb's legs because they are done with him.



J. Webb beats Big Nasty Phil. During the match, "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn gets on the apron. J. Webb grabs him, but is able to dodge Big Nasty Phil when Phil charges at him. J. Webb pushes Phil into Bradley before winning with a schoolkid pin. After the match, Brad charges at J. Webb only to eat a back body drop, but Phil knocks J. Webb down. Brad and Phil gang up on J. Webb, then Phil pulls a chair out from underneath the ring, which Brad drives J. Webb face-first into.



We hear from Too Kool II (Tim Grind and Flex). Tim Grind says the tag team division is better than it has ever been, then says Too Kool II is the best tag team and that it is time for them to get some championship gold. Flex says everyone talks about them because they want to be them, and that the other teams hate on them when they do not even know who they are.



Mackenzie Morgan and Makkari Kandy beat Nixi XS and Raven Black.



Backstage, Assistant Matchmaker Michael wants a rematch against Van Viciouss, even though Van Viciouss is a coward and will not give him his vindication. Matchmaker King Cobra says that if he wants the match, they can make the match and go from there.



We see news footage of Coach Pillar's charity work for St. Jude Children's Hospital.



Dustin Starr interviews Coach Pillar at the announce desk. As Coach Pillar talks about how he ran the Boston Marathon and raised money for St. Jude and raising money again in Pontotoc, Mississippi, The Nyxx Network (Sir Matt and Lord Gaston) shows up. Sir Matt calls Coach Pillar "a big, fat loser just like Big John Dalton" for not winning the marathon before bragging about how they are winners for being tag team champions. He then says that if Coach Pillar needs someone to mentor him on how to be a winner, they are happy to do that. Sir Matt says that Big John Dalton is okay and at least tries, but they are never going to be on The Nyxx Network's level. Gaston says that Big Jon Dalton will never beat him no matter how hard he tries and will always be "a big, fat jigglin' loser."



We hear from K-Toomer, who says that The Circuz (Barnabus the Leader, Maurice the Strong, Jacksyn Crowley, Abel Booker) want to fight him, but turn tail as soon as they see him. He then calls out Maurice the Strong for a match for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Champion, saying that he will soon see him eye-to-eye.



We hear from Barnabus the Ringmaster, who dares K-Toomer to look himself in the mirror and realize that he is a freak just like the rest of The Circuz (Maurice the Strong, Jacksyn Crowley, Abel Booker), but chooses to play hero to the fans instead of being their champion. He says that next week, K-Toomer's lie will come to an abrupt end when a new Heritage Champion is crowned.



"The GunShow" Brett Michaels beats The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt, Morrow) in a four-on-one handicap match.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 6, 2024

In memory of James Thurber, aka "Gentleman" Jim Casey, 1952 - 2024.

Barnabas the Leader shows up to start today's show and announce that The Circuz (Barnabas the Leader and Maurice the Strong). He introduces Maurice the Strong, then announces that time is rapidly running out for the biggest, the hungriest, the baddest, and the one who stole months from Maurice's career and shutting down their big top. He says that this person stole everything from them, and today, they take everything from them, for Maurice the Strong evokes his championship match clause, and in today's main event, it will be for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship as Maurice ends K-Toomer forever. Barnabas then says he will take K-Toomer's heart, soul and title.



"Mr. All Day" Will Allday retains the Reality of Wrestling Heavyweight Championship against Mike Anthony. David Knight is the referee for this championship match.



Backstage, we hear from The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Van Viciouss, Secret Service). Blaylock and Van Viciouss blame Matchmaker King Cobra for keeping Viciouss off the Cobra Cup Tournament, putting Blaylock's contract on the line and inviting "The Cowboy" James Storm to crash their victory party, and Blaylock says he will file a formal complaint against King Cobra as he demands a face-to-face meeting. He also calls Assistant Matchmaker Michael "a lunatic."



The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce and "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt) beat The Top Gunz (Brandon Beretta and Joey Vinetti). (The masked man is now known as "Marrow.") After the match, Dustin Starr interviews Reverend Ash Taylor at the announce desk. Ash Taylor says he gave "The GunShow" Brett Michaels a chance to join them only for him to tear up the pamphlet. He says that Brett Michaels is in for a world of hurt, as they are stronger and more righteous than him.



We hear from K-Toomer. He says he finds it funny that The Circuz (Barnabas the Leader and Maurice the Strong) talk about time as if it can be manipulated to their will and make videos about how there will be repercussions for his actions. He says he actions were really retaliation for The Circuz trying to make a name at his expense, then tells The Circuz that he accepts their challenge and that The Circuz will be shut down for good.



We hear from Matchmaker King Cobra and Assistant Matchmaker Michael. King Cobra tells Michael not to worry about "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, as he lies every time that he moves his mouth, and to do what he has to do. Michael thanks King Cobra for the advice, but says he does not know if he can let this go. King Cobra says they are doing the right thing and that Blaylock always complains, and Michael entertains the idea of wrapping him up in the bureaucracy and red tape that they have to deal with to see how it feels. The two of them agree that they have time to meet Blaylock face to face.



Diana Taylor beats Raven Black.



We see footage of Tim Bosby and "All The Way" Ray Collins training in the WrestleCenter ring.



The O'Neal Brothers (Steven and Devin O'Neal) beat The L.A. Hustlers (Notorious Bradley and Ruffshot Lamont). During the match, Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King show up to watch from ringside, and it is not long before Notorious Bradley notices them. Their presence also distracts Ruffshot Lamont, and Steven O'Neal pins Notorious Bradley with a schoolkid pin for the win. After the match, The L.A. Hustlers get in an argument with Derrick and Ray Ray, and referees and officials have to step in before things get physical.



We see a vignette for The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker), where the two of them are sucked into a striped box after a had with a ticket lures them in. The box closes, then catches aflame. As this goes on, there is a doll dressed like a clown on top of the box.



Barnabas the Leader introduces Maurice the Strong during the championship announcements.

K-Toomer retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Maurice the Strong by disqualification. David Knight is the referee for this championship match. During the match, Barnabas the Leader gets in the ring, and as he does, a slim, long-haired figure slides into the ring as Maurice gets his hammer. The slim figure is Jacksyn Crowley in clown make-up, and Abel Booker, also in clown makeup, soon joins him. The Twins of Salem gang up on K-Toomer so that Maurice the Strong can hit K-Toomer in the back of the head with his hammer. The Circuz, now four strong, celebrate in the ring.

SuperBout III, Part 1 - Memphis Wrestling recap for March 2, 2024

Memphis Wrestling celebrates its third anniversary.

Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage championship against Cassandra Golden after dodging her as she charges at her and countering with a roll-up. After the match, Cassandra Golden raises Mackenzie's hand before hitting her with a short arm clothesline followed by multiple hip attacks and the Golden Rings. Multiple referees have to rush in to break the hold.



We hear from King Cobra and Michael. Michael says there will be no chicanery or tomfoolery today, and that he is here for revenge for King Cobra. King Cobra tells Simon to be ready, because Michael is coming for him. Simon says the rules do not apply to him and that he will break every rule and every bone in Michael's body before he comes for King Cobra.



Simon, now known as "Sycho Simon," beats Michael (now known as Mr. Michael) in a Play By The Rules Match, and is reinstated into Memphis Wrestling.



We hear from Big John Dalton, who says that he will finally get his hand on Reverend Ash Taylor and that he has a donation for his collection plate in the form of a right hand. We hear from Reverend Ash Taylor, who says that Big John Dalton will have to fight through his family to get his hands on him and that "BJD will simply be RIP" when all is said and done.





The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt, Reverend Ash Taylor) beats Big John Dalton in a SuperBout Gauntlet Match after Reverend Ash Taylor turns his back to allow the first shot at him only for a man in a red mask and a long beard to show up and lay out Big John Dalton. After the match, the masked man, Brother Bruce and Ryan Rembrandt slam Big John Dalton in the middle of the ring.



We hear from The Nyxx Network (Sir Matt and Lord Gaston). Matt asks Ray Ray Sanders how many times they have to teach him a lesson, then Gaston says Ray Ray likes being taught a lesson and getting beaten up and that he will not beat them. We hear from Ray Ray Sanders, who says that while things did not work out on his own against them, he will not be fighting alone today.





Ray Ray Sanders' tag team partner is revealed to be Derrick King.

The Nyxx Network (Sir Matt and Lord Gaston) retain the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against Ray Ray Sanders and Derrick King after Derrick King inadvertently superkicks Ray Ray Sanders following the dodge by Lord Gaston. Will Gibson is the referee for this championship match.

Memphis Wrestling at Strayhorn High School 2024 - The Results

Note: The matches here are shown in upload order and is not indicative of the match order of the event.

Two other matches - Mackenzie Morgan vs. Diana Taylor and "The GunShow" Brett Michaels vs. Simon - are only available on Memphis Wrestling Plus.

The Twins of Salem (Jacksyn Crowley and Abel Booker) beat The Nyxx Network (Sir Matt and Lord Gaston). Jackson's sons Cole and JC are also part of the match.



Before the next match, Reverend Ash Taylor states that the DJ for the event could not even catch a good beat with a bear trap, then says Strayhorn, Mississippi is the kind of place that is full of worthless people, then says Brother Bruce will show Big John Dalton that The Righteous Path (Taylor, Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt) always get what they want.

Big John Dalton and K-Toomer beat The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor and Brother Bruce). During the match, Reverend Ash Taylor repeatedly trips Dalton and almost attacks him from the apron only for Dalton to avoid him and Bruce to nearly run into him. Dalton soon brings back-up in the form of K-Toomer, and the match soon becomes a tag team match, much to Bruce's chagrin. Local student Emmett gets the pinfall. After the match, Dalton and K-Toomer throw The Righteous Path out of the ring.



"Big Swole" Justin Cole and "All The Way" Ray Collins beat The Disorderlies (Disorderly #1 and Disorderly #2).



Before the next match, Justin Case tells Dustin Starr that he runs his mouth too much, then says he does not like coming to places like Strayhorn, Mississippi and that he is embarrassed to tell people he is coming here. He then says that he and Aaron Roberts will make things quick so they can leave.

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 17, 2024

"All The Way" Ray Collins beats Devin O'Neal to advance in the Cobra Cup Tournament after knocking Steven O'Neal off the apron as he hits the Sliced Bread.



Dustin Starr interviews Match Maker King Cobra and Assistant Match Maker Michael at the announce desk. Michael says he has been working with someone very close to King Cobra and that he has another surprise for him: Teddy Long, who shows up. Teddy says King Cobra and Michael have been doing a great job, and King Cobra says that he has a match that he wants to book and is deciding on how to go about it. On the subject of Simon, King Cobra says he wants Simon to pay instead of just suspending him after nearly blinding him, and that he has dues to pay. Teddy says he symphatizes with King Cobra and knows he wants payback, but now that King Cobra is a matchmaker, he cannot get into matches even though he can make them. Teddy then announces that there is a man standing here right now who can take Simon on at SuperBout III, and it turns out to be Michael. Teddy makes Michael vs. Simon official for SuperBout III.



We see a video package of "The Atrocity" Kruel's recent action interspersed with footage of Kruel standing in a corridor. Kruel tells "The GunShow" Brett Michaels that if he wants the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship, all he has to do is come and get it...if he can.



Brother Bruce beats Denzel Rollins after "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt distracts the referee so that Reverend Ash Taylor can pass the collection plate to Brother Bruce so that he can use it as a weapon.



We hear from Big John Dalton, who says that no matter where he goes, everyone asks when he will get his hands on Reverend Ash Taylor. He dares Ash Taylor to get in the ring with him today if he has got the guts.



Dustin Starr interviews Reverend Ash Taylor at the announce desk. He says he does not care what Big John Dalton wants as The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt) have dealt with him, but if he wants to deal with them again and put his hands on him, then he will have to go through his family. Ash Taylor says he is the top of the food chain and that he will have to go through everyone else, then his two druids show up.



Big John Dalton quickly beats three of The Righteous Path's (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt) druids, which are called "shadows" on commentary.



We hear from "All The Way" Ray Collins, who says he has an opportunity to win the Cobra Cup and that he will show Mike Anthony why he is called "All The Way Ray."



Backstage, Teddy Long helps Match Maker King Cobra and Assistant Match Maker Michael regarding the Memphis Heritage Championship picture. Teddy Long tells King . King Cobra makes "The GunShow" Brett Michaels vs. "The Atrocity" Krule official for SuperBout III.



Tim Bosby and Mackenzie Morgan vs. "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Big Nasty Phil ends with "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts showing up and laying out Tim Bosby. Mackenzie Morgan cannot do anything as Aaron Roberts hits Tim Bosby with the Problem Bomb, and when Mackenzie confronts him, Aaron Roberts throws her into the corner before hitting Bosby with another Problem Bomb. J. Webb can be seen in the crowd during the match.



We hear from Simon, who tells Match Maker King Cobra that he knows he remembers his spikes, and while he missed on Christmas, he is coming right for his right eye at SuperBout III. Simon tells King Cobra that if he has vengeance in his heart and wants to get in the ring with him, he wants him and Assistant Match Maker Michael to promise him that if he wins, he will be reinstated with no question asked. Simon says that he does not play by the rules and that the rules do not apply to him, then slams his spikes into some raw meat before telling Michael that he is dead meat.



"Casanova" Colton Cage beats "Big Swole" Justin Cole to advance in the Cobra Cup Tournament after hitting him with a fist with a chain wrapped around it from the outside.

Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for November 25, 2023

Dustin Starr interviews Too Cool II (Tim Grind and Flex) at the announce desk. Tim Grind says that it is all good after he beat The Posse and Lance went back to training, and that they need to get back to doing what they do best. Lance says that he needs to know who hit him with the truck, and Tim Grind states that he saw the truck that hit Lance in the parking lot. Suddenly, Dustin Starr and Terrence Ward find out the truck is parked in the back. Tim Grind and Lance head to the parking lot and find the truck, but there is nobody inside. All of a sudden, a man clad in all-black and a motorcycle helmet shows up near the ring, and Tim Grind and Lance return demand to know who he is. As Tim Grind threatens to remove their helmet for them if they do not do it themselves, a second man dressed similarly to the driver shows up and attacks Tim Grind and Lance from behind with a lead pipe. The two men remove their helmets to reveal that they are Gio Savage and Draco, who then go on the attack and lay Tim Grind and Flex out.



Van Viciouss beats "The Regulator" Terry Wayne with a Camel Clutch. After the match, Dustin Starr interviews "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock and brings up the petition to ban Blaylock from Memphis Wrestling. Blaylock says he has a contract with Memphis Wrestling and there is nothing anybody can do it. Van Viciouss tells Blaylock not to worry about it and to get refocused, as he needs the Blaylock he had before before telling Blaylock's Secret Service to look out for Blaylock and telling Dustin Starr to do his job, as he runs Memphis Wrestling.





Dustin Starr interviews Prince Nana at the announce desk after Nana dances around the ring with the fans and with Dustin. Prince Nana says it is great to be here when Barnabas the Producer shows up and introduces himself. He says today is no ordinary day and that today is the world premiere of his brand new hit single, which plays as a man in a chicken suit dances around. The dancing chicken suit is the "Rappin' Rubber Chicken," and Barnabas proposes that he and Prince Nana collaborate. Prince Nana wants nothing to do with Barnabas and tells Barnabas that Swerve Strickland will not work with him.



We hear from Simon, who says that there are some things one will never forget, and that the smell of his best friend's flesh and his writhing in pain is something he will never forget. He blames the fans for this as he says that Mr. Chris has stared into Hell and told the Devil "Not today."



"All The Way" Ray Collins beats Denzel Rollins.



The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt) beat Team WrestleCenter (Big John Dalton, Ray Ray Sanders, Derrick King) to advance in the Trios Tournament after Reverend Ash Taylor pulls Big John Dalton down from the middle rope and grabs the tights on the schoolkid pin.



Tim Bosby and Mackenzie Morgan beat "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane in a Winner Takes All Match. Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship, and Tim Bosby becomes a two-time Memphis Wrestling Internet Champion.

Spring Break, Part Three - Memphis Wrestling recap for April 22, 2023

Dustin Starr interviews The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) at the announce desk. Mr. Chris invites the fans to celebrate the last hour of Derrick King's career, and Simon says everyone knows Derrick King is the only who still believes that he is "greater than great" and that he can either give up and quit or end up in a hearse or a funeral home.



"Big Swole" Justin Cole and Ray Collins beat The Righteous Path (Brother Bruce and Brother Red) by disqualification after Reverend Ash Taylor hits Ray Collins with his collection plate. After the match, Brother Red confronts Justin Cole, but Reverend Ash Taylor holds him back.



Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. Brett Michaels says that when he screws up, he admits it, and tells K-Toomer to meet him face-to-face so he can tell him that the GunShow Lariat hitting him was his fault. K-Toomer shows up, then Brett says they have been friends for a while and that K-Toomer has made a name for himself. Brett admits to inadvertently hitting him with the GunShow Lariat. K-Toomer says that in this business, mistakes are going to happen, and while he wants the Heritage Championship, the easy way did not work, and he needs to refocus. He says that he has to go through Brett Michaels to get the Heritage Championship, and that the time for him to take the title is now, but everything seems to come back to Brett. He says that it is between the two of them regardless of whether Brett was in on the attacks on him, and Dustin Starr gets out of the way at K-Toomer's request so both men can brawl. Referees quickly intervene. After the commercial break, the brawl is still going, and it also takes the whole locker room to hold both men back. Afterwards, Brett tells K-Toomer to get ready.



Uncle Mikey guests on commentary for the next match (after distracting "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn).

Tim Bosby retains the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship against "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn after Uncle Phil gets on the apron only for Bosby to knock Bradley into him and hit the ripcord lariat.



Dustin Starr interviews The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) at the announce desk again. Simon says if he was the fans' mothers, he would wash all their mouths out with soap, then says that The Posse does not suck and that Derrick King's career ends now. Dustin Starr then interviews Derrick King at the announce desk. Derrick says that Ray Ray Sanders cannot compete right now, but as sure as his name is Derrick King, he will get in the ring and beat both members of The Posse.

Derrick King beats The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) to become the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships after Ray Ray Sanders shows up to become Derrick King's tag team partner for the match and manages to kick powder into Simon's face, blinding Simon and causing him to inadvertently slam Mr. Chris. After the match, Ray Ray Sanders celebrates with his family at ringside, and Dustin Starr congratulates the new tag team champions.
