Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for February 17, 2024

"All The Way" Ray Collins beats Devin O'Neal to advance in the Cobra Cup Tournament after knocking Steven O'Neal off the apron as he hits the Sliced Bread.

Dustin Starr interviews Match Maker King Cobra and Assistant Match Maker Michael at the announce desk. Michael says he has been working with someone very close to King Cobra and that he has another surprise for him: Teddy Long, who shows up. Teddy says King Cobra and Michael have been doing a great job, and King Cobra says that he has a match that he wants to book and is deciding on how to go about it. On the subject of Simon, King Cobra says he wants Simon to pay instead of just suspending him after nearly blinding him, and that he has dues to pay. Teddy says he symphatizes with King Cobra and knows he wants payback, but now that King Cobra is a matchmaker, he cannot get into matches even though he can make them. Teddy then announces that there is a man standing here right now who can take Simon on at SuperBout III, and it turns out to be Michael. Teddy makes Michael vs. Simon official for SuperBout III.

We see a video package of "The Atrocity" Kruel's recent action interspersed with footage of Kruel standing in a corridor. Kruel tells "The GunShow" Brett Michaels that if he wants the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship, all he has to do is come and get it...if he can.

Brother Bruce beats Denzel Rollins after "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt distracts the referee so that Reverend Ash Taylor can pass the collection plate to Brother Bruce so that he can use it as a weapon.

We hear from Big John Dalton, who says that no matter where he goes, everyone asks when he will get his hands on Reverend Ash Taylor. He dares Ash Taylor to get in the ring with him today if he has got the guts.

Dustin Starr interviews Reverend Ash Taylor at the announce desk. He says he does not care what Big John Dalton wants as The Righteous Path (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt) have dealt with him, but if he wants to deal with them again and put his hands on him, then he will have to go through his family. Ash Taylor says he is the top of the food chain and that he will have to go through everyone else, then his two druids show up.

Big John Dalton quickly beats three of The Righteous Path's (Reverend Ash Taylor, Brother Bruce, "Righteous" Ryan Rembrandt) druids, which are called "shadows" on commentary.

We hear from "All The Way" Ray Collins, who says he has an opportunity to win the Cobra Cup and that he will show Mike Anthony why he is called "All The Way Ray."

Backstage, Teddy Long helps Match Maker King Cobra and Assistant Match Maker Michael regarding the Memphis Heritage Championship picture. Teddy Long tells King . King Cobra makes "The GunShow" Brett Michaels vs. "The Atrocity" Krule official for SuperBout III.

Tim Bosby and Mackenzie Morgan vs. "Main Event" Brad Skimahorn and Big Nasty Phil ends with "The Problem Child" Aaron Roberts showing up and laying out Tim Bosby. Mackenzie Morgan cannot do anything as Aaron Roberts hits Tim Bosby with the Problem Bomb, and when Mackenzie confronts him, Aaron Roberts throws her into the corner before hitting Bosby with another Problem Bomb. J. Webb can be seen in the crowd during the match.

We hear from Simon, who tells Match Maker King Cobra that he knows he remembers his spikes, and while he missed on Christmas, he is coming right for his right eye at SuperBout III. Simon tells King Cobra that if he has vengeance in his heart and wants to get in the ring with him, he wants him and Assistant Match Maker Michael to promise him that if he wins, he will be reinstated with no question asked. Simon says that he does not play by the rules and that the rules do not apply to him, then slams his spikes into some raw meat before telling Michael that he is dead meat.

"Casanova" Colton Cage beats "Big Swole" Justin Cole to advance in the Cobra Cup Tournament after hitting him with a fist with a chain wrapped around it from the outside.
