Final iMPACT! - iMPACT! recap for February 29, 2024

In memory of Ole Anderson, 1942 - 2024. In memory of Mike "Virgil" Jones, 1951 - 2024.

Steve Maclin beats "Speedball" Mike Bailey. After the match, Maclin says that this is what he does best and that he continues to stack body after body, and that is why he took out "The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth. He says that Nemeth is nowhere to be found and is going to suck the life out of TNA before making opportunity elsewhere. Suddenly, Nic Nemeth shows up on the video screen and says he is in New Japan as the new Global Champion, and that he cannot wait to come back and face him at Sacrifice.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Frankie Kazarian finds out from Gia Miler that he has been suspended for his actions at No Surrender. Frankie tells Gia to ask Santino Marella if he thinks this is the right thing to do.

Jake Something beats Laredo Kid.

It's time for The Sound Check. A late Alan Angels' guest backstage is Kon. Angels says he has bought the best security nobody can buy and that he is proud of what Kon is doing right now. Kon says he does not anyone leading him anywhere and that he goes where he wants, then says that he is the baddest man in TNA and that after No Surrender, PCO may still be dead. Suddenly, the lights go out, and everything is black and white when PCO shoves Angels out of the way and confronts Kon.

Before the next match, Joe Hendry states that tonight is the TNA Wrestling in-ring debut of AJ Francis, and while the two of them have not always gotten along, tonight he sympathizes as everyone is watching Francis and the pressure is running high. He says the last thing AJ Francis wants to do is flop, and therefore he wants to give Francis a warm welcome, which means nobody should chant "AJ sucks." The people chant it anyway, then Hendry apologizes and says the fans also love to chant "We Believe."

Joe Hendry and Rich Swann beat Cody Deaner and AJ Francis.

We hear from Decay (Rosemary and Havok). Rosemary says they had the element of surprise at Hard To Kill, but those powers can be so fleeting. Havok says patience is a virtue that not everyone possesses, and that they are not patient. They say they have come to a city like New Orleans where the streets are filled with darkness and spirits are invited for dinner, and Rosemary makes it clear that she and Havok want the Knockouts tag team titles again.

It is announced that Alex Hammerstone has been signed to TNA Wrestling and that he will face "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander again at Sacrifice.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander. As he talks about his match with Alex Hammerstone at Sacrifice, Dirty Dango, Oleg Prudius and Alpha Bravo show up to plug Dango's wrestling school. Alexander takes this as a challenge and leaves to set up a match for next week.

The Good Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) are in the ring. John Skyler says Mustafa Ali brought the change that the X Division, TNA and the fans needed, calls Louisiana "Mississippi," then introduces Mustafa Ali to the ring. Mustafa announces that change has come to the X Division and that it all happened because the fans believed that "In Ali, we trust." He declares that as new X Division Champion, he will declare his first executive order. Suddenly, Chris Sabin shows up. Sabin demands that Mustafa leave the podium and face him like a man, then says that while they are both different, they both believe in change. Sabin says change is about selflessness, self-betterment, and accomplishing goals by believing in one's self. Mustafa then says it is all about him and that he has other people make change while he takes the credit for himself, and says that if The Good Hands were not at Mustafa's side, he would still be champion. Mustafa calls this "a slanderous accusation" and that The Good Hands are here because they support the campaign, and that there was not one soul in the building who supported him at No Surrender. Sabin says he is no politician and is not here to debate, and that he is only here to fight. He punches Mustafa in the face, and as The Good Hands hold Sabin down, KUSHIDA and Kevin Knight show up to even the numbers. The Good Hands get a beatdown as Mustafa Ali escapes with the help of his own security detail.

George Iceman introduces Ash By Elegance. Ash announces that next week, she will be having her second match in TNA Wrestling.

Backstage, Mustafa Ali is furious with The Good Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) for letting Chris Sabin, KUSHIDA and Kevin Knight through and ruin everything. He says actions have consequences, then everyone leaves.

Tasha Steelz vs. Xia Brookside for a shot at the Knockouts World Championship ends in a double count-out. After the match, Jordynne Grace shows up and says she has been watching from backstage and has seen enough. She says that both of them want a title shot and that they will both get it at Sacrifice.

Backstage, we hear from Rhino, who wants Crazzy Steve in a no-disqualification match so Steve can hit him with whatever he wants while he will hit Steve with a Gore.

The System (Moose, Eddie Edwards, Brian Myers) beat ABC ("Inevitable" Ace Austin and Chris Bey) and Eric Young in a six-man tag match.

Here are tonight's must-see moments!
