Collision Course - Collision recap for February 24, 2024

Powerhouse Hobbs beats Sammy Guevara in a no-disqualification match after shoving referee Mike Posey into Guevara while lying on a table, tripping Guevara off the top rope so he can hit an avalanche World's Most Dangerous Slam through a table for the win.

We hear from Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley. Moxley talks about how Claudio walked twenty miles on his first day of training and how twenty minutes is nothing to him, then says that it will be a war of attrition with them in the ring. He says a time limit draw is unsatisfactory and that FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) pissed them off before accepting their challenge at Revolution. Claudio says Moxley is thinking about historical tag teams, then mentions that FTR wants to bring back the past while he and Moxley look to the future and create the wrestling that they want to see today. He says it is fine if FTR wants to live in the past, but if they want to step into the future, the path lies through them, and all they have to do is be better than them. Moxley then says that FTR did not give all they had in those twenty minutes while they barely pulled the trigger, and if FTR want to be big names after Revolution, they will have to swim in deep, deep water.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) beat Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor and "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty). After the match, Cash Wheeler brings up Jon Moxley's dare to step up and get stepped on, and that it will take much more than stepping on to get rid of FTR. He then says Moxley knows where they are going to be if he has anything more to say. Dax Harwood brings up what Moxley has said about different styles and eras, then says AEW is Moxley's castle and that he is king, and that he sees how people are afraid of him. He says Moxley is pissed off because FTR is not scared of them, and if AEW is his castle, then to be a king, one must kill a king, and at Revolution, FTR will come for his head.

We see a video package for "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. Jun Akiyama later tonight.

Thunder Rosa beats Lady Bird Monroe.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Willow Nightingale, Kris Statlander and Stokely Hathaway. Stokely says he is not happy with the hostility from Skye Blue and Julia Hart, and Kris Statlander says that they are looking for a fight and proposes that she beats Skye Blue in their rubber match.

The Bang Bang Scissor Gang ("Daddy Ass" Billy Gunn, "Switchblade" Jay White, Colten Gunn) beat Iron Savages (Boulder, Bronson, Jacked Jameson).

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson, who considers Jun Akiyama legendary and someone that he respects. Danielson says he knows Eddie Kingston - who views Akiyama as a hero - will be on commentary, and while he respects Akiyama, he does not respect Eddie. He then makes fun of Eddie's promo style and says he is not a professional, as he has had more potential than anyone and has wasted it until the last year. He also says Eddie's wasted potential pisses him off, and that this is why he will beat Eddie for the Continental Crown.

Malakai Black beats "The Bounty Hunter" Bryan Keith. After the match, the lights go out, and when they come back on, Mark Briscoe is in the ring with a Kendo Stick while Bryan Keith is nowhere to be seen. Buddy Matthews and Brody King run to the ring, but Mark takes them down before pulling out a steel spike and going for Malakai Black, who dodges and hits The End before Brody King hits Mark with Dante's Inferno.

We see a video package for The Young Bucks (Nicholas and Matthew Jackson) vs. Sting and Darby Allin in a Tornado Tag Match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Revolution.

Serena Deeb beats Lady Frost with a single leg Boston Crab. After the match, Serena Deeb says the women's division is heating up, and while he puts the locker room on notice when she returned, she makes it clear that she will be waiting for anyone who wants to be part of the division. She says that when she wrestles, the lights do not dim and the picture doesn't turn black and white, but she does wrestle, and she is back to claim the women's division and put wrestling back in All Elite Wrestling.

Eddie Kingston guests on commentary for the next match.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson beats Jun Akiyama. After the match, Danielson flips Eddie Kingston off, and Akiyama slaps Danielson in the face for it. Danielson apologizes to Akiyama, but when they shake hands, he kicks Akiyama in the groin. Eddie then goes after Danielson, and Claudio Castagnoli goes after Eddie. FTR then rush into the ring and brawl with Claudio and Danielson. It is then announced that Eddie and FTR will face The Blackpool Combat Club in a trios match next week.
