Collision Course - Collision recap for May 3, 2025

Adam Cole guests on commentary for this week.

"Timeless" Toni Storm beats Lady Frost by submission in an AEW Women's World Championship Eliminator Match with the TCM Chicken Wing. After the match, Toni says there are more challengers who want a shot at her, then says she is not hard to find, and says she could be anywhere, including on the nearby boardwalk.

We hear from Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir. Moxley tells Samoa Joe that all the people closest to him are dropping like flies, and while Joe inspired a generation of pro wrestling and is beyond reproach, so was Bryan Danielson. Moxley proclaims that he is not scared to step into a steel cage with him because he is exceptional at this job. He says his affairs are in order, and he hopes that Joe has thought things through.

Sammy Guevara beats AR Fox, Rush and "The Jet" Kevin Knight in a $100,000 High Speed Collision Fatal 4-Way Match. During the match, it is announced that next week's Collision will be live on TBS on Thursday at 8 PM Eastern/7 PM Central.

We hear from Samoa Joe, who says he is not here this week out of respect and due to the preparations he is taking to beat Jon Moxley. He says that Moxley will find out that his actions will be met with consequences that will be met on Claudio Castagnoli next week. He says that he had to put their match in a steel cage because the Jon Moxley he sees now does not have the courage to face him in a ring and have an actual firefight with a man like him, and at Beach Break, he will break Moxley and become AEW World Champion.

We see a video package for Paragon (Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly) vs. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) in a two-out-of-three falls match later tonight.

Megan Bayne beats Harley Cameron. After the match, Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne attack Harley Cameron. All of a sudden, Anna Jay shows up and hits Megan Bayne with a 2x4. It has no effect, but Anna does pull the rope down when Megan charges at her. Penelope holds Megan back on the outside.

Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir head to the ring and take out two members of security on the way there. Moxley wants to know what Samoa Joe says he does not understand, then says he has faced all of the supposed "most baddest men" in the business and they all said and tried the same things as Joe until they couldn't. He expects nothing less from Samoa Joe and says he knows how to fight a real firefight, as The Death Riders (Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta, Shafir) have been in one the entire time.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd). Magnum says Best Friends (Trent Beretta and Rocky "Azucar" Romero) are a little upset and disrespected, and Turbo says that if they want to be the physical type, they can also get physical. Magnum says that when it comes to taking on The Outrunners, some are scared to death, but Turbo says that some are too scared to live.

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander vs. Brody King ends in a time limit draw after Alexander rolls out of the ring following the Gonzo Bomb. Alexander hits Brody with a chop block to the left leg when more referees shows up, and Lance Archer goes back on the attack briefly before helping Alexander to the back.

We see a video package for Cru (Lio Rush and Action Andretti). They say they are not here in AEW to waste time, and they hope that Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) have learned not to mess with them, as you are "either Cru or enemy."

"Platinum" Max Caster is in the ring. He says that the fans have just seen a fifteen-minute time limit draw, then says nobody can last five minutes against him. A five-minute clock is set up, then demands full participation next time after leading his own chant. Daniel Garcia then answers the five-minute open challenge.

Daniel Garcia beats "Platinum" Max Caster in one minute. After the match, Garcia calls out FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), saying he handled his business night and tells them to handle theirs, then he will talk to them afterwards.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn. Bowens is soon interrupted by "Big Shotty" Lee Johnson and Blake Christian, and Christian says Bowens may have beaten him, he did not outshine him. Lee Johnson says he is "150% better" than Bowens and knows how to put him down. Bowens takes this as a challenge and tells him to step up and get mollywhopped.

Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) beat Ray Jaz and Goldy. Cru (Lio Rush and Action Andretti) is seen in the crowd after the match. After the match, The Learning Tree ("The Redwood" Big Bill and "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith) show up on the video screen, announcing that they are in the parking lot and demand Gates of Agony come to them. After the commercial break, both teams meet in the parking lot and brawl.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) beats Paragon (Roderick Strong and Kyle O'Reilly) two falls to one (2-1) in a two-out-of-three falls match. Paragon scores the first fall by submission with a ankle lock and grapevine from O'Reilly to Dax, with Dax tapping out at Stokely Hathaway's hehest. FTR scores the second fall following the Shatter Machine on Roderick Strong. Paragon almost scores the third fall, but Dax gets his foot on the bottom rope, and the ref notices it after the three-count. The ref waves it off and lets the match continue, and FTR get the win After the match, Daniel Garcia shows up with a microphone in one hand and a crowbar in the other, and Garcia says he has too much love for FTR to hit them and Stokely with a crowbar. He thanks FTR for putting him back on his feet when his last mentors left him high and dry, but after what he did to him, Angelo Parker and Matt Menard, he wants answers. Garcia says he does not plan to get it from them in a therapy session, and challenges them to meet him in the ring so he can beat the answers out of them.

Here are the highlights from tonight's show!

Deonna says that if Willow was a real friend, she would have helped Yuka Sakazaki last week. Willow takes this as a challenge for Rampage.

Harley explains a "Saraya's Rules" Match, in which the rules do not apply to Saraya, there are no hammerlocks, and the winner receives a signed copy of Saraya's autobiography. Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara. Dustin thanks Guevara, calling him one of his best tag team partners, and Guevara says that while they have both had their setbacks, nights like this make it worth it. Nigel McGuinness is on the stage. He says that "The American Coward Benign Danielson" has failed to answer his challenge, then calls him a "pathetic" "clam digger" hiding behind a "fake injury" and says that "Bryan fears Nigel." Nigel then says that if Danielson will not face him for his family, he should do it for the fans, as if he denies him, then he denies them. Tony Schiavone interrupts, saying that Nigel's claims are ridiculous and that if Danielson was cleared to wrestle, he will wrestle him, then says Danielson is not afraid of Nigel and that Danielson is one of the best he has ever seen and called as a commentator. Nigel says Schiavone is "one of the luckiest sons-of-bitches he has ever seen," as he would take any other person's head off for saying that, and tells him to go back to the commentary table and shut his mouth. He says Schiavone may be drinking "the Coward-Aid," but he is not, and then says that he does not care who Danielson faces him for, as he wants Danielson to face in the middle of the ring in their final chapter. He then says that it is his destiny, and that ever since he has retired, he has told anyone who would listen that he was as good as Danielson, but nobody listened to or believed him. Nigel then says there are only two people who know that this saying is true - him and Danielson - and that this is why Danielson has refused to answer his challenge, as he knows that if he shows up, he will destroy him and finally have vindication. He says that Danielson is taking away from him the one thing he deserves, but this time, even if Danielson does not show up, he will be vindicated. He says the ball is in Danielson's court, and says if there is a God in heaven, it will happen. He then says that if there is not, then may the Devil hear his prayer.

Atlantis Jr. beats "Pretty" Peter Avalon in an ROH World Television Championship Proving Ground Match.

Backstage, Billie Starkz holds an emergency minion meeting with Athena to see what she has going on. Athena says she has perfection in mind for MIT, then proceeds to put Lexy Nair on a pedestal over Billie Starkz, saying Lexy has been critical to her success. Billie finally snaps and says Lexy has been getting credit for everything she has done as of late, and asks Athena if she has even watched the footage. Athena takes this as Billie snitching on Lexy and being envious of her, then says it is okay to feel that way before telling her not to let jealously overshadow her happiness for her new "number one Minion." She also tells her that "snitches get stitches" and that she is willing to do what she has done to her ten more times if she puts her hands on her or the ROH Women's World Championship again.

Before the next match, "Smart" Mark Sterling gives Josh Woods and Tony Nese the night off due to Ariya Davairi wanting to do this match on his own, then says Daivari is the richest, most in-shape and most successful athlete to ever enter the state of Texas, while his opponent, who is from Texas, represents all the "fat losers" in the crowd. Daivari says that for the last month he has been here, there has been nothing he has wanted more than to punch all the fans in the face, but he would get arrested, so he will beat up a local Texas and kick his ass in front of all the fans instead.

Sammy Guevara beats Ariya Daivari after taking out "Smart" Mark Sterling as well as Tony Nese and Josh Woods, whose interference behind the ref's back backfires when Guevara kicks out of the hammerlock lariat.

Collision Course - Collision recap for July 6, 2024

MJF heads to the ring to start tonight's show. He says that everyone in the building is "inbred and incredibly stupid," and demands that everyone keeps their mouths shut. MJF calls Daniel Garcia "nothing more than a pawn," then says their match at All In was never going to happen, as he was always going to stab him in the back and break his neck, and says he is a "Make-A-Wish Kid" at best and was trying to grant him his wish even though it was not real and never answered. He then says Daniel Garcia will never wrestle again, much less make it to All In, then says he is here to talk to the fans. He replays his promo from the August 2, 2023 where he talks about his attention deficit disorder as well as his rejection sensitive disorder as well as how he was made fun of as a kid, then says he opened up to the fans and knew that if he did, it would tear his heart if the fans turned on him, and yet the fans did not give a damn. MJF says he did so much for the fans, but the fans repaid him after his friend stabbed him in the back and Samoa Joe took the AEW World Championship by chanting "Thank You Joe" after Worlds End while he was in physical therapy trying to regain movement in his left arm and cast him aside for other wrestlers. MJF says that what he did to Daniel Garcia was personal not between himself and Garcia, but between himself and the fans, and Garcia was just the tip of the iceberg. He says that he will take away everything that the fans love in AEW because everything they love sucks, and because the fans have ruined the company he loves with their "garbage tastes." He says that he will fix this by getting back on top, even though the fans want Will Ospreay (who he calls a "talented hack") and are too delusional to realize that he cannot help the company like he can because he is a child who only cares about putting on good matches and not ticket sales or making money. MJF says the only ratings Ospreay cares about are from "a guy named Meltzer" while the ratings he cares about are from "a guy named Nielsen." He then proposes that he and Ospreay "pop a number right here, right now" and threatens to get medieval on him, saying that he will sacrifice him like "the billy goat" that he claims to be. Will Ospreay's music hits, but Ospreay fails to show, and MJF grins before saying that Ospreay is not coming because he is a "two-faced, fickle, gutless coward" just like the fans.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly). O'Reilly admits they are "bummed out" after Forbidden Door, but Mark Briscoe says he is not despite, then says the word of the day is "epiphany" and that he had anepiphany that failure is a figment of one's imagination and nothing but a stepping stone to the throne. He says they are in the shadow of one of the most important cities in wrestling history - Memphis, Tennessee - and that they are about to bring a "historical ass whupping" to The Iron Savages (Boulder, Bronson, Jacked Jameson). Briscoe heads to the ring, and O'Reilly says Mark Briscoe knows how to pull a guy out of a dark abyss. Orange says "I don't care."

Before the next match, Jacked Jameson says everyone loves The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly) because they represent them, but they do not stand a chance. He says that Mark Briscoe is called "The Sussex County Chicken" because his bones are brittle, and Kyle O'Reilly and Orange Cassidy look like they belong on the bottom of an evolutionary chart. Shortly after this, Undisputed Kingdom (Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett) guests on commentary.

The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly) beat The Iron Savages (Boulder, Bronson, Jacked Jameson) in a trios match. After the match, Undisputed Kingdom (Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett) display their disapproval of Kyle O'Reilly being part of The Conglomeration.

We hear from "Scapegoat" Jack Perry, who says that the true cost of anything is what you are willing to sacrifice for it. He says that a long time ago, he was the first-ever challenger to the first-ever TNT Champion, but he was not ready yet because he did not realize how great that cost would be. Perry says that as of tonight, he is paid in full, and he wants to give that opportunity to sacrifice everything and take the TNT Championship from him to somebody else, because if they do not, he will sacrifice them. As he speaks, we only see his reflection in the center plate of the TNT Championship.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "Hangman" Adam Page. Adam Page says that his indefinite suspension has been ended out of convenience - not his, but The Elite's (Nicholas Jackson, Matthew Jackson, "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada, "Scapegoat" Jack Perry) - and that what was happening to him and his family did not matter to them at all, for at the moment that they thought that they could use him, they brought him back. He then says that even "he" knows that he is really here to burn through the rest of the men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, head to All In and right a wrong that should have been righted a long time ago, and if it takes his last breath on Earth, he will right that wrong and he will burn "his" world to the ground. He then leaves when "Switchblade" Jay White and his inability to defeat him is mentioned.

"Timeless" Toni Storm beats Trish Adora.

We see a video package for Willow Nightingale vs. Mariah May in the finals of the women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament next week on Dynamite.

We hear from The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne, Killswitch, Mama Wayne). Christian says that last week, many people were left in awe when "Switchbalde" Jay White confronted The Patriarchy with his words and he seemingly let Jay White get away with it. Christian tells Jay White that he made it personal, as he promised his family the gift of the United Trios Championships for their loyalty to him over the past year, and says that The Bang Bang Gang (Jay White, "Rock Hard' Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) has been on such a run with the titles that he had to Google them to find out who they were. He says that Jay White's head is not in the game, or else he would not have entered the men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Christian calls the tournament Jay White's "exit strategy" and says that he cannot blame him as he has surrounded him with a child and "genetic waste." Christian says he will do Jay White a favor and take the Unitied Trios Championships off his hands to revive them and make them the most important titles on AEW on the road to the AEW World Championship, and that it will make Tony Khan and the AEW fanbase happy, as the fans are tired of seeing The Bang Bang Gang consistently tread water while simultaneously getting the Jay White they thought they would get when he signed to the company. All of a sudden, Christian sees Kip Sabian, who says that he recently lost his father and that he meant no disrespect being near camera shot. Christian says he is sure that his father was a loser and that the apple does not fall far from the tree, then tells Kip Sabian that his day is about to get a whole lot worse as he sics Killswitch on him on the way out.

"Scapegoat" Jack Perry's challenger for the TNT Championship is Marko Stunt, who has not been seen in AEW in some time.

"Scapegoat" Jack Perry retains the TNT Championship against Marko Stunt.

We hear from The House of Black (Malakai Black and Brody King). Malakai Black says they are asked about how they feel regarding Buddy Matthews, but they do not feel anything, as they do not sweat out their fevers like others do. He says that revenge is not a straight line and is more of an imbalanced scale waiting to be tipped back into perfect balance, as well as a shadow hiding in the dark waiting to be put back into the light. Brody King says that they feel nothing, Christian Cage will feel everything.

We see a video package for "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson vs. the winner of "Switchblade" Jay White vs. "Hangman" Adam Page in the finals of the men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Claudio Castagnoli beats The Beast Mortos.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard. Menard says that he now has a concussion after earlier this week, and that Daniel Garcia is at home in Buffalo, New York, and while he has lost all strength in the left side of his body, he will make a full recovery and eventually get his hands on MJF when he is cleared, and when that happened, he will get "Red Death."

We see someone jumping into a portal.

We hear from Serena Deeb, who says that she is glad that Riho is back, and that people still talk about their match from Double or Nothing 2021. She says that if Riho wants a rematch, that is fine, but she is not the same person from 2021 and has evolved into the best in-ring wrestler in the women's division.

Riho beats Lady Frost with a new Kofi Kingston-esque SOS-style called the Runhei.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty, Anthony Ogogo), Top Flight (Darius and Dante Martin) and Action Andretti. Shane Taylor says that his team have given Top Flight and Andretti a pass and that they should have whupped their asses a few weeks ago for getting in their business had they not been playing with ladders, but Action Andretti says the wait is over and they will settle things on Rampage. Darius says they are not scared and that they are not ducking Shane Taylor Promotions, and if they want to rumble, they can go. Dante Martin says he earned a spot in the ladder match, then reminds them that Lio Rush cleaned house in their last encounter. Lee Moriarty gets ticked off and wants the match right now, which causes Shane Taylor to hold him back, while Anthony Ogogo says this is not Chuck E. Cheese's and that they will smash them up.

"Hangman" Adam Page beats "Switchblade" Jay White to advance to the finals of the men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. During the match, Hangman throws Switchblade into referee Paul Turner, knocking him out, then removes his own leather belt and whips and chokes Switchblade with it. Jeff Jarrett shows up and takes the belt away from Hangman before another referee removes him from the match, then Christian Cage shows up from out of the crowd and hits Switchblade with the Spear. Paul Turner comes to and makes the three-count after Hangman hits Switchblade with the Buckshot Lariat.

Here are the highlights from tonight's show!

When Jericho checks on the Zamboni crew to see if they can man it properly, they are attacked by Samoa Joe, Hook and Katsuyori Shibata. Backstage, Orange Cassidy says things are not going great for him right now and that his world is falling apart, and tomorrow, he has a fight against the best technical wrestler. He wants to know where Zack Sabre Jr. was during his match when Zack finally shows up. Zack says he did not need to watch his match because he knows all of his tricks after a year and that Orange is out of ideas, but Orange says Zack has waited a year to be pinned with his hands in his pockets. Orange grabs Zack by the shirt collar, but Zack is unphased, saying he has already won.

Hechicero beats Kevin Blackwood by submission.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne, Luchasaurus, Mama Wayne). He says that all of the championship belts will look good on them when The Bang Bang Gang ("Switchblade" Jay White, "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) shows up. "Switchblade" Jay White asks Christian Cage if he has apologized to his family for saying "I Quit" before mocking the rest of The Patriarchy and telling Christian that the Switchblade Spotlight is too bright even for him.

Before the next match, "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese says that tonight's city is a perfect candidate for group training, but thanks to "All Ego" Ethan Page, he has to go and make an example of him, and the fans will be able to learn something tonight. Until then, he is putting a hold to group training.

"The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese beats "All Ego" Ethan Page and snaps his five-match win streak after putting his feet on the ropes for leverage. After the match, Tony Nese refuses to shake Ehtan's hand, and when Tony Nese tells Ethan Page to give him a call so he can fix him, Ethan kicks Nese in the gut and goes for the Ego's Edge on Sterling only for Nese to save Sterling.

"The Technical Beast" Josh Woods beats "The Last Real Man" Silas Young in a Pure Rules Match after hitting Silas with a closed fist to the face prior to hitting the Twist-a-Woods for the win.

Backstage, we hear from Maria Kanellis-Bennett. She says one must not have real power to have real power, and that sometimes, power in name is not as powerful as power in influence. She says she has been in the business for fifteen years and has been through a lot, but the business continues to ask for more. She says that she has built a kingdom in Ring of Honor, and now, she is scouting for an army to protect that kingdom and her legacy. "Legit" Leyla Hirsch shows up and says she has done her a favor and that since then, she has breezed through the women's division. Leyla then asks Maria what she can do for her, and Maria says that if Leyla wants more competition, then she will get it tonight against Rachael Ellering. Maria leaves, and Leyla says it is "about damn time" that she got some real competition.

Athena beats Brittany J in an ROH Women's World Championship Proving Ground Match. After the match, The Renegades (Charlette and Robyn Renegade) gang up on Athena. All of a sudden, Billie Starkz runs to the ring, and The Renegades retreat. When Billie helps Atehna up, Athena shoves her away and leaves.

Before the next match, Stokely Hathaway calls Samoa Joe one of the greatest Ring of Honor champions of all time, then says that while Joe does not team with anyone else, he chose "the big dog of Ring of Honor." Stokely then tells Joe that since Joe is the greatest of all time, he will be on the apron if he needs him.

Samoa Joe and Stokely Hathaway beat The Boys (Brandon and Brent Tate). Near the end of the match, Joe allows Stokely to hit one of The Boys from the top rope, but turns around at the last second to put said Boy in the Coaquina Clutch to get the win while Stokely Hathaway is laid out on the mat.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Billie Starkz, who admits that she has no idea what is going on between her and Athena. The Renegades (Charlette and Robyn Renegade) show up and brag about laying Athena out before threatening to do the same to her. Starkz is not intimidated.

Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) beat Matt Sydal and "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels.

Madison Rayne beats Dani Mo.

The Dark Order (Evil Uno, Alex Reynolds, John Silver) beats Lord Crewe, Cory Calhoun and Isaiah Broner in a six-man tag match. During the match, Stu Grayson shows up to watch from the stage and distracts The Dark Order. After the match, Silver boots a downed Broner in the face, much to Stu Grayson's satisfaction.

Backstage, we hear from Claudio Castagnoli. He says that he hears the whispers and sees the writing. He says that he does care and that he is here, and even if he is not on the show, it does not mean he is not watching, scouting, training and taking things seriously. Claudio says that when he won the ROH World Championship, it was his first world championship, and it was an achievement after over twenty years of wrestling. He says he wanted to be the best wrestler possible, but then he lost the title to Chris Jericho, who did not even care about Ring of Honor. When he beat him to become World Champion, he was not as naive as he was before and he came in knowing that he had a simple job, and just because it was simple did not mean it was easy, as he had to let go of what he loved. He tells the viewers to imagine letting what they love go in order to take the next step, and says that he had to realize that as much love and passion as he had for wrestling, it was a burden, for it was his job to be ROH World Champion and keep people like Eddie Kingston and CM Punk away from his title. He says not many people can do what he does at the level that he does it, and he says not to brag or to get a pat on his shoulder, but because he knows what he is capable of and what he is asked of, which he admits frightens him, for he knows what he has to do to stay ROH World Champion. Claudio warns anyone who steps into the ring that he only respects competition and that at the end of the day, he has no personal attachment to his job and he is really good at it. He then warns anyone who wants to take the title from him that they will have to be better than him to do it.

Cole Karter beats Griff Garrison. After the match, Maria Kanellis-Bennett shows up and whispers something to Cole Karter, who then shakes Garrison's hand before leaving with Maria.

Billie Starkz beats Charlette Renegade. After the match, Robyn Renegade attacks Billie, then Athena gets in the ring and evens the numbers game. After a staredown between Billie and Athena, both of them take The Renegades down with a tope suicida. Athena then wants to fight Billie, but Billie wants to shake Athena's hand instead. Athena then says "Come on, minion, let's go," much to the confusion of Billie, who ends up leaving with Athena.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese and Ari Daivari. Nese says everyone cares about making wrestling better, yet he cares about making the fans better, and every time he tries to do group training, he is interrupted. He says that ROH officials ensure that he has the floor every time, and that "Smart" Mark Sterling has ensured that he finally has the floor in a place where people are not that healthy. He then says that tonight, there will be a full-length group training session, because the fans here really need it.

"Big Shotty" Lee Johnson, Action Andretti and Darius Martin beat Lee Moriarty and The Workhorsemen (JD Drake and Anthony Henry) in a six-man tag match.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Athena, who brings out Billie Starkz. Athena says today is a very special occasion, as she is with her "bestie" and Billie Starkz gets her very own "minion number" of "400,237 and 3/4" for her "service" to her. Billie Starkz brings up The Renegades (Charlette and Robyn Renegade) attacking them and challenges them to a tag team match, but Athena tells Billie that she is the one who does the thinking because she is the champion before ordering her to drive her to the mall.

Lady Frost beats Trish Adora.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Kiera Hogan. Kiera says she has had an impressive run in Ring of Honor, then tells Lady Frost that when fire is up against ice, fire always wins, and she plans to melt Lady Frost in her place.

"Legit" Leyla Hirsch beats Rachael Ellering with the cross arm breaker.

Dalton Castle beats "Pretty" Peter Avalon.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Shane Taylor. Shane says that for six years, he was the man in Ring of Honor and the most dominant Television and Six-Man Tag Team Champion of all time and part of the most dominant group of all time, but no matter what he did to establish his legacy, people only wanted to talk about the old guard and there was nothing he could do, as he could not fight them at the time. Now that he is fighting Samoa Joe for the World Television Championship, the fans are hyped up and even the pros are talking about it. He tells Samoa Joe not to worry, as he is not going to pin or submit him, but he is going to beat him down and put him to sleep before he takes the World Television Championship and get back to building his legacy.

Before the next match, "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese says he usually opens up with a joke, but after seeing the health of the local fans, he finds nothing funny about it, and says everyone would rather eat their cook-out or drink their "terrible" Cheerwine than put a veggie burger in their mouths. Nese then says he has gotten "Smart" Mark Sterling to take care of a few things and that he has ROH's assurance that he will have an uninterrupted group training session, starting with some stretching. All of a sudden, Jerry Lynn tells Tony Nese that he cannot just start cancelling matches for group training and that even Tony Khan is tired of it, then introduces an opponent who is "a blast from [Tony's] past" in the form of Metalik.

Metalik beats "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese.

After the match, MJF says he was supposed to have the day off, but he had to come to "crappy ass Hamilton" which is full of "the dumbest, most worthless pieces of trash" he has ever seen in his life. He also says he can beat anybody in the back who is from Hamilton, Ontario, Canada who is in the back, and he will even put the AEW World Championship on the line. A larger man shows up, but all of a sudden, "All Ego" Ethan Page stops him and heads to the ring instead. As MJF tells Ethan Page he is not on his level, Ethan Page slaps the microphone out of his hand and that not only does MJF does not even know what he is capable of, everyone else in the back does not care. He talks about how his father moved to Hamilton and worked his way up to being president of multiple companies before telling him that he is not a "bare minimum bitch" like MJF. He then says that MJF is not his champion and that he is the man who AEW calls to do something and not MJF, then says that AEW will pay him back for all the extra stuff he does in due time and that now is "due time." Ethan then dares MJF to put his money where his mouth is and stay true to his word against him, and MJF actually does. This starts a match.

The Gunns state that Bullet Club Gold have travelled the world and that Jay White is a grand slam champion, and state that in the last sixteen months, they have become tag team champions and beaten everyone's favorites. Austin says they are the future, but Colten says they are the present and the best tag team in the world. When Schiavone mentions that the rest of Bullet Club Gold is banned from ringside for the next match, Jay White says that Schiavone is just making things up. He then addresses CM Punk, saying that if the goody in his bag is the AEW World Championship, he should leave it in the bag. Jay White then says FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) now have Bullet Club Gold's attention due to having the AEW World Tag Team Championships, and dares them to put their titles on the line against himself and Juice so they can beat them again for the title. Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews CM Punk, FTR and "Absolute" Ricky Starks, and the interview appears on the video screen. He says Jay White can get a replica title at AEW Shop, then says he has friends and not bodyguards. Dax Harwood says that Bullet Club Gold has some guns that are shooting blanks, but if they want the tag team gold, they are okay with having a match. Starks then says that no matter how hard they pray or dream about winning the tournament, he will beat Juice Robinson again to advance in the tournament.

"Absolute" Ricky Starks beats "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson to advance to the semi-finals of the men's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. After the match, the rest of Bullet Club Gold ("Switchblade" Jay White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) surround the ring, but CM Punk and FTR get in the ring to even the odds and force them to retreat.
