Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for November 20, 2024

The Don Callis Family ("The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, "The Machine" Brian Cage, Lance Archer) beats Ricochet, Powerhouse Hobbs, Will Ospreay and Mark Davis in an eight-man tag match after Will Ospreay inadvertently hits Mark Davis with a Hidden Blade meant for Kyle Fletcher, who pulls Mark Davis into Ospreay's path.

We hear from The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir). Jon Moxley says Orange Cassidy is an uncaring, cold-blooded snake who waits in the darkest corners of the battlefield, yet his mission remains the same. He says he could not care less about what people think of Orange, as he is a threat to his people and he will destroy him. Moxley says there is more behind Orange's eyes than anyone could know, and while his body may make it to Full Gear, his mind is another matter. Claudio then speaks in Swiss German, then says that he will end Darby Allin tonight. We then hear from Darby Allin, who says that The Death Riders will have their day after everything that they have done and that today is Claudio's day.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin). MVP says he has a treat for the AEW fans: Bobby Lashley will be in action tonight before his pay-per-view debut at Full Gear, then Lashley is suddenly attacked by Swerve Strickland.

Adam Cole heads to the ring. Adam Cole says MJF did everything in his power to ensure they did not fight at Full Gear and succeeded, then says that Roderick Strong has also succeeded and that they both want to give MJF the ass-whipping of a lifetime, which he will get at Full Gear. Kyle O'Reilly suddenly shows up and heads to the ring, briefly mentions their history together and says that being associated with Adam Cole has brought its highs and lows. He then says that the crusade with MJF must end before someone gets hurt, as Adam Cole has friends willing to take a bullet for him, yet he needs to stop making his friends fight his battles for him. As Kyle O'Reilly says that he has a bad feeling about this, he mentions that Roderick Strong is pulling the strings. He says people are willing to go to war with Adam Cole for a reason, but MJF is more evil than Adam Cole will ever be, and that is a good thing. O'Reilly then walks off, and Adam Cole is left shocked.

We hear from Orange Cassidy, who says he will make an example out of Wheeler Yuta before he beats Jon Moxley on his own at Full Gear. The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Rocky "Azucar" Romero, Tomohiro Ishii) shows up, and Mark Briscoe says they have his back. Orange says nobody else will get hurt, and asks The Conglomeration to promise that they will step away. Briscoe reluctantly promises, then Orange tells Moxley to do what he wants to him at Full Gear, as there is five of Moxley and one of him, before warning that Moxley will need all the help that he can get.

Kris Statlander beats Hikaru Shida after countering the Katana with the Tombstone Piledriver. After the match, Mercedes Moné and "The Brickhouse" Kamille - the latter with her left arm now in a sling - arrive. Mercedes make fun of the Philadelphia Sixers and gives a shout-out to the Boston Celtics before congratulating Statlander. She then says she has heled the TBS Championship longer than Statlander, and that she will not lose the title at Full Gear, or ever. Mercedes Moné then sics Kamille on both Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander, and Statlander and Shida easily get rid of Kamille before Mercedes charges at Stalander. Mercedes goes for the Backstabber, but Statlander grabs the ropes to block it and hits her with a piledriver.

Backstage, MVP and Shelton Benjamin find somebody who looks like Swerve Strickland, but is, in fact, not Swerve. He gets jumped anyway.

We see a video package for "Switchblade" Jay White vs. "Hangman" Adam Page at Full Gear.

Bobby Lashley beats Cheeseburger and Joe Keys in a two-on-one handicap match with the Hurt Lock to Joe Keys. After the match, Prince Nana shows up with a metal folding chair, and as Shelton Benjamin goes after Nana, Swerve Strickland shows up from underneath the ring with a chain wrapped around his right fist and goes on the attack. All three members of The Hurt Syndicate (MVP, Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin) get punched with the chain before Swerve hits Lashley with the House Call followed by the double foot stomp from the top rope. MVP and Shelton get back in the ring, but Swerve flips out of it and flees through the crowd.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "The Glamour" Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa. Mariah says no champion deserve a celebration quite like her due to her meteoric rise and her historic title reign, as she "takes shit and makes it shine." She says that in her division, you are either world champion or dead. Mina says she is proud of Mariah and will give her a celebration she will never forget. Mariah says they will turn Rampage into "Glampage" as Mina says she wants Mariah, then Mariah says the two of them will celebrate.

Claudio Castagnoli beats Darby Allin after tossing him from the announce table to the timekeeper's table.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Private Party (Marq Quen and Isiah Kassidy). Kassidy says they have a strategy even though the odds are against them, but the odds have always been against them and they will still leave Full Gear as champ. AJ and Big Justice then show up and mention that they have a big announcement coming up next.

We hear from MJF. After causing a poor man to chase after a coin, he then addresses Roderick Strong, mentioning what happened to his parents and says that he would do anything for Adam Cole. He says he trusted Cole, but Cole was just a mirage of what he wanted to be, and he believes deep down that Cole cares about Roderick. He then says he is happy Roderick is facing him so he can send him back to the trailer park where he belongs in so much physical anguish that he will wish his mother shot him instead of his father.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews AJ and Big Justice. AJ says he has only one strategy against QT Marshall - bringing the boom - and announces that when he beats Marshall, The Rizzler will be ringing the bell.

Tony Schiavone interviews Undisputed Kingdom (Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, Mike Bennett) at the stage. Roderick says he has not slept since last Wednesday and that he is finally getting his hands on MJF, and says that if MJF was here, he would ask him if he is supposed to be ashamed about his childhood and his parents. He says that people have brought up his parents and his upbringing his entire life, and that while MJF may look at his past and feel sorry for him, he asks MJF not to, as he feels sorry for him. He says he had to earn his way into breaking the cycle, then says that MJF throws a fit when he does not get what he wants until he does. Roderick then MJF to look in the mirror and look back on what he has done, for at Full Gear, he will pay for all of it. He then says that when it is all over, he will hav eearned the best night's sleep in his life while he has broken MJF's back and made him humble.

We see more footage of what Daniel Garcia and "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard did to "Scapegoat" Jack Perry, who is now tied to a chair as Garcia throws a bucket of water at him. Garcia says that are taking power from Jack Perry. Perry says everyone cares about right and wrong until it costs them something and they have to sacrifice, but Garcia says Perry has no idea what he has gone through to get here. Perry simply laughs, then Garcia grabs a crowbar and smashes Scapegoat's van before leaving. Menard followes Garcia.

Backstage, Renee Paquette hosts a contract signing for Tomohiro Ishii vs. "The Learning Tree" Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship next week. Jericho says The Learning Tree (Jericho, "The Redwood" Big Bill, "The Bad Apple" Bryan Keith) does not randomly sign and that he will have his legal team check it out while Ishii waits. Jericho leaves the room, but Ishii follows him, and this leads to an awkward chase all the way to the ring for Jericho. Jericho grabs a microphone and says he would sign the contract, but he does not have a pen. Ishii pulls a pen out from his shorts, then hands it to him and makes him sign it under duress. Ishii is then attacked from behind by Big Bill and Bryan Keith, who hold Ishii down so that Jericho can stab Ishii with the pen. Mark Briscoe and Rocky Romero then show up to make the save for Ishii.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Jamie Hayter, who is interested in why her interview from last week was cut off by Julia Hart when she has no history for her. She says Julia can do whatever she wants, then her interview is interrupted by another Julia Hart vignette. We see Julia Hart fire an arrow out of a bow and hit a target interspersed with scenes of Julia wearing red with an arrow in her heart.

Orange Cassidy beats Wheeler Yuta after rolling under a chair shot by an angry Wheeler and rolling Wheeler up. After the match, Orange is attacked from behind by PAC, and Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir follow, with Shafir carrying a roll of duct tape. Orange is ganged up on before Claudio puts Orange's hands in his own pockets and PAC tapes Orange's hands to his midsection, and Moxley slaps Orange around while everyone else pushes Orange around. Moxley then punches Orange out, then The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, Wheeler Yuta, Marina Shafir) leave through the crowd. The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Rocky "Azucar" Romero, Tomohiro Ishii) then show up and free Orange, who barely gets up under his own power before putting his hands back in his pockets.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews MVP. MVP says that he is scouting talent in AEW, and as he been getting the lay of the land, he sees a lot of talent with untapped potential. He says that some of them need motivation or better management, but others need to need to be hurt and beaten down to their knees again and again just to be taught how to stand to put on a path to success. He says Swerve Strickland has so much to learn but will not listen, and while the fans love Swerve's arrogance, it is his greatest weakness. He says that Swerve thinks that one man can beat three and calls himself "the most dangerous man in AEW," and that arrogance, much like pride, "goeth before the fall." He says he will be watching Ricochet in the main event as well as Komander, and tomorrow night, Shelton Benjamin will find out what Komander is made off and what lessons Komander needs to learn.

Taya says a man broke his heart once, then she stabbed his tires, as it was revenge. Purrazzo says it is satisfying to collect what is owed, but sometimes that is not enough, and sometimes it is more than simple reprises; it is about sending a message not just to the intended targets, as they may not be around for long, but to everyone else so that they know who to avoid. MJF says Will Ospreay did not hit the Tiger Driver '91 because he is a gutless coward, then tells Swerve Strickland that he has not forgotten about the World Championship, saying he is waiting for the right moment to pounce, and tells Swerve to pray it does not come. He brags that he beat Will Ospreay easily and efficiently without breaking a sweat, then tells Ospreay to take a long walk off a short pier before referencing his grandmother's death and using it to mock Ospreay even more. MJF then demands Ospreay come to the ring and face him like a man, then says he will not do it because he is worthless. MJF then says everyone loves the International Championship because it was held by workhorses, then says working hard is "for the poors" and that he deserves a title worthy of his superiority, saying the original is nothing more than garbage. He tosses the International Championship belt into a metal garbage can, then says he deserves a title that represents himself and the United States, and reveals the AEW American Championship. MJF says he appreciates the "USA" chants, but tells the fans he is talking about the only "real America" that matters - Plainview, Long Island, New York - and not "nasty ass Nashville[, Tennessee]." He then tells the fans to thank him later. Confetti then shoots out towards the ring before an American flag with MJF's face replacing all of the 50 stars unfurls downward. All of a sudden, Will Ospreay shows up and chases Ospreay out of the ring.
