Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for October 25, 2023

Renee Paquette interviews MJF, who immediately calls Adam Cole, but he is suddenly interrupted by Roderick Strong and The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett). Roderick Strong says MJF is the one behind the devil mask, but he will pretend for once that he is not and he will help him tonight. MJF shoves him away, and as The Kingdom run after Roddy, MJF tells "Switchblade" Jay White that he has a bullet with his name on it and he is not going to miss. We then see the man in the devil mask.

MJF retains the Dynamite Diamond Ring against "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson after punching Juice before he can hit him with his fake ring and knocking The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) off the ring apron. After the match, The Gunns attack MJF, but The Kingdom (Matt Taven and Mike Bennett) run into the ring. They soon get overpowered, but as "Switchblade" Jay White - who guested on commentary in the middle of the match - grabs the AEW World Championship so that he can hit MJF with it, The Acclaimed show up and chase Bullet Club Gold (Jay White, Juice Robinson, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) out of the ring. Jay White then tells MJF to forget about everything going on in the ring and to focus on him, as he will never get his hands on the AEW World Heavyweight Championship after he pummels his face into the ground at Full Gear. Austin Gunn congratulates MJF on winning the Dynamite Diamond Ring back, and challenges MJF and Adam Cole for the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championships. MJF tells The Gunns to shut up and tells them they have their tag team title shot, then tells Jay White that he will see him at Full Gear but that he will get his hands on him next week next week in the eight-man tag match and he will get back what belongs to him. Roderick Strong then wants to know if MJF will pick him and The Kingdom, but MJF calls Roddy "a bland bitch" and roll himself and The Kingdom off a cliff. "Platinum" Max Caster asks MJF if that means he will pick The Acclaimed, and MJF admits that he has never liked him and that he would never tag with him even if he was on fire. Max Caster takes it at MJF saying there is a chance, then asks him to scissor. MJF rejects it and leaves. As MJF heads to the back, he has a brief staredown with Kenny Omega. Omega tells MJF that he has something that he wants, but he has something MJF wants. He says he has no right to ask, but claims that if he is the fans' scumbag and the champions he and the fans both want to be, he will listen to what he has to say. Omega says he has the right to reserve his streak and challenges him for the AEW World Heavyweight Champioship, and MJF makes it official for Collision. Both men then shake hands. After Omega bids the fans adieu, he then says to MJF "Three days, bitch."

We hear from Wardlow. He says that the last few months were bad for him as he went into a dark place while watching MJF become the name and the face of the company that everyone supports despite what MJF has done in the past and despite beating him one-on-one. He says he has felt the devil's claws go deeper and deeper into his back, and with nothing else to lose, he will take everything from MJF.

Hook and Rob Van Dam beat The Dark Order (John Silver and Alex Reynolds) with the Redrum from Hook to John Silver.

Backstage, RJ City introduces "Timeless" Toni Storm's newest picture "Hold That Butler!" The picture plays during the commercial break. (The butler is played by Luther.)

Tony Schiavone interviews Sting and Darby Allin in the ring. After thanking the people of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for the memories and Darby Allin for helping him get this far in AEW, he also thanks Tony Khan for giving him the opportunity to wrestle a little bit longer. Tony Schiavone mentions that on this day 35 years ago, Sting put World Championship Wrestling on the map on the road to becoming the icon that he is now, then mentions that Tony Khan has a special gift for Sting and brings Tony Khan out. All of a sudden, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up instead. He says that there are moments in life that are magical and few and far between, and that it is those moments that make one the best, and 35 years ago, he and Sting made history at Clash of the Champions 1. He calls Sting one of the greatest people he has ever met, and tells Sting he wants to ride the wagon out one more time with him. All of a sudden, Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne show up. Christian Cage makes fun of Ric Flair being Sting's gift as well as Ric Flair's age and liver, then asks Darby Allin his neck is before telling him to look at the TNT Championship, for he will never be a champion again. Christian then proposes a six-man tag match between himself, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne and team of Sting, Darby Allin and a partner of their choice at Full Gear so Sting's retirement can come early and become his funeral. Before Christian can leave, Sting says he is allergic to jackasses before accepting Christian's challenge.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Renee Paquette interviews Chris Jericho. Jericho cannot being beaten down as hard he was beaten down by Powerhouse Hobbs, then says there is a time in one's career for self-reflection and see if one has what it takes. He then says that Don Callis has a whole family with a lot of friends, but he has a lot of friends, too, and they are bigger than Will Hobbs and it is time to give them a call.

The Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "Hangman" Adam Page) retain the Ring of Honor World Six-Man Tag Team Championships against The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and Brother Zay. After the match, it is revealed on the video screen that Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland have broken into "Hangman" Adam Page's home. All of a sudden, Nana and Swerve head into the room where Adam Page's son is. Swerve says that Adam Page owes him a debt, then leaves a Mogul Embassy shirt in the crib, saying that Adam Page's son is indebted to him.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Adam Copeland. Copeland says nothing has changed regarding him and Chstian Cage and that he will not fight him, then Sting and Darby Allin show up. Darby says AEW is not a fairytale and that he did not want to hurt Nick Wayne, and Sting says he knows what it is like to have the blinders on and that Edge needs to take his blinders off. He says he learned to take his off and see through people, especially people like Christian, and tells Adam Copeland to wake up before it is too late.

Hikaru Shida retains the AEW Women's World Championship against Ruby Soho in a match that involves Ruby using the title as a shield to keep herself from being sprayed with her own spray paint after tossing it to Shida and feigning being sprayed in the face. Shida retains after Ruby rolls her up out of Shida's Falcon Arrow only to be rolled through and sent head-first into an exposed turnbuckle. After the match, "Timeless" Toni Storm shows up on the stage, again with her butler, played by Luther.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews MJF. Before MJF can get a word in, Samoa Joe shows up and says MJF suffers from a severe lack of friendship, then says he will be his friend on one condition: MJF gives him a rematch for the AEW World Championship.

The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson) beat Orange Cassidy and "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada. This situation leads a tense stand-off between both teams' closest allies.
