Honor Roll - Ring of Honor recap for October 12, 2023

In backstage footage from earlier today, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Serpentico. Serpentico tells Eddie Kingston he is not the same man he faced two years ago, and that all he has to do is last ten minutes to get a shot at the ROH World Championship. He says he has made it his mission to put ROH on his back and rebuild it, and that ten minutes is all it takes.

Eddie Kingston beats Serpentico in a Proving Ground match for the ROH World Championship. After the match, as Angelico shows up to check on Serpentico, Eddie demands Angelico move so that he can shake Serpentico's hand. He eventually does, but this leads to Eddie getting aggressive with Angelico, who tell s him that when it comes to hold-to-hold wrestling, he fears no wrestling. Eddie tells him to show him what he has got, then both men shake hands.

Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) beat Lights Camera Faction (Fresco Maddox and Watson).

Dasha Gonzalez interviews Daga. Daga says it is his first time here to show what he is capable of, and says that he is here and coming for QT Marshall and his championship.

Athena beats Mazzerati by submission in a Proving Grounds Match for the ROH Women's World Championship. After the match, Billie Starkz hides Mazzerati underneath the ring and lies to Athena, saying Mazzerati left to spare her a post-match beating.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Lee Johnson, who is approached by Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor and Lee Moriarty), who tell him that despite being close to winning, he still lost. Lee Moriarty then tells Johnson to join them and show his true potential, and Taylor also gives him the option of not doing that and continuing to lose.

Before the next match, QT Marshall introduces himself to Daga, who says that while Daga means "dagger," it does not "champion" or "the greatest of all time," and that whenever he is the arenas in Mexico, the fans chant "Culero." Daga tells him that "Culero" actually means "Asshole" before punching him in the face.

QT Marshall retains the AAA Latin American Championship against Daga.

We see a video package for Dalton Castle.

Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor and Lee Moriarty) beat The Infantry ("The Captain" Shawn Dean and "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Billie Starkz, who confronts Lexy for saying she sucked during part two of minion training. Mercedes Martinez and Diamante show up and tell Billie what Lexy supposedly said, and warn her that Athena will turn on her. Billie Starkz says that this is her family they are talking about, while Diamante checks Bilie's bag for money.

Angelico beats Martin Casaus.

Mercedes Martinez beats Lady Frost following the distraction by Diamante.

Backstage, "Smart" Mark Sterling announces that next week, he and "The Technical Beast" Josh Woods have a good batch of opponents and that he has lined up a coach for him: Pat Buck. Woods is insulted by Sterling thinking he needs to coach, saying he knows more than Buck and wants to know what Pat Buck will teach him that he already knows, but Buck says Woods is a know-it-all and that if he really knew everything, he would be a champion already. Buck then says he does not want to be he his coach anymore and wants to be his opponent instead, and challenges him next week to a Pure Rules Match, stating that he is the better wrestler.

Willow Nightingale beats "Legit" Leyla Hirsch. After the match, Leyla attacks Willow, then Skye Blue runs in and fights Hirsch, who soon retreats.

Action Andretti beats Gringo Loco after Andretti counters Gringo Loco's attempt at offense from the top rope with a hurricanrana.

Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews "All Ego" Ethan Page. Page says that he requested competition last week, and now it has been given to him in the form of former ROH World Champion "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels, who he has been a fan of for years. He says he will give Daniels the respect he has deserved for years, but he has always told the world to watch him, and he will hit five victories in a row tonight.

Billie Starkz beats Rachelle Riveter with a Tombstone Piledriver followed by a crossface. After the match, Athena and Billie are attacked from behind by Mercedes Martinez and Diamante on the ramp.

Kip Sabian beats Anthony Henry.

Backstage, Dasha Gonzalez interviews Griff Garrison, who admits that it has not been a good last few weeks for him with him and Cole Karter not being on the same page. Cole Karter and Maria Kanellis-Bennett show up, and Karter says Garrison should have followed their lead. Garrison tells Karter he cost them the match after being distracted by Maria, but Maria says Karter and Garrison should be on the same page as they have potential and the same goal of winning championships in Ring of Honor. She then says she has no time for this, and tells Karter and Garrison to figure it out. Karter tells Garrison that Maria has led people to success in every company she has been to, and Garrison says that despite the only thing they have in common is a want for championship gold. Karter and Garrison then shake hands as Garrison says they can make it work.

"All Ego" Ethan Page beats "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. After the match, "Smart" Mark Sterling and "The Premier Athlete" Tony Nese show up. Sterling admits he is impressed with Ethan Page's winning streak, then says Ethan Page is the perfect person to join "The Premier Athlete Brand," then says it will be difficult and that he cannot quit this like he has everything else, but if he sticks with it, he and Nese can take him to the next level. Ethan Page admits he has not been a man of the people for long, then says it is a hard no. Nese tells Ethan that his answer is irrelevant, and that Ethan should be sitting with the fans and participating in his group training as he is undeserving of standing in the ring. Ethan Page considers Nese as a personal trainer an upgrade and calls sitting in the crowd with the fans a better use of his time than "talking to assholes like [Nese]." He then decides to take Nese up on that offer, as personal trainers cost a lot of money, then proposes a one-on-one session - by which he means a one-on-one match - next week. Nese and Sterling leave, then Ethan shakes Daniels' hand in a show of respect and raises his hand.

Scorpio Sky beats Darius Martin.

Here is the recap for tonight's show!
