Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for October 14, 2023

It is announced that Flex is okay and was not hit by the car that sped towards him at the end of last week's show.

Dustin Starr interviews Tim Bosby and Mackenzie Morgan at the announce desk. Bosby says that "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane has cheated him not once, but twice, out of the Memphis Wrestling Internet Championship, and now he has back-up. He wants to know where Austin Lane is as he calls him out. All of a sudden, Nixi XS and The O'Neal Brothers (Devin and Steven O'Neal) show up, and Nixi tells Bosby that if he wants to get to Austin and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane, he will have to get through them first. Bosby accepts that challenge, then says he has back-up for the numbers game. McKenzie then tells Steven O'Neal that Bosby will handle him.

Tim Bosby beats Steven O'Neal with Cattle Mutilation after suplexing both Devin and Steven O'Neal and Mackenzie Morgan stops Nixi XS from interfering.

We hear from Mikey, who says today is the day and "the big one." He says a lot has changed in the last six or seven months, but so has he. He says that he has been told that "The GunShow" Brett Michaels might be a problem, but he does not have problems, only situations. We then hear from "The GunShow" Brett Michaels, who tells Mikey to take his opportunity, but that when all is said and done, he is still going home with the gold.

Dustin Starr interviews King Cobra at the announce desk. King Cobra that in recent weeks, says that he was applying for a job at Memphis Wrestling, but not just any job, but matchmaker for Memphis Wrestling, and he has now gotten the job. Suddenly, Mike Anthony shows up and thanks King Cobra for being the legend that he is and having his back when nobody else would, then makes it clear he wants a shot at the Memphis Heritage Championship. Before King Cobra can respond, K-Toomer shows up, saying he has a legitimate claim for the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship, saying he never got a chance to put Brett Michaels down and get his hand raised like Mike Anthony did. He says that both he and Mike Anthony deserve their rematches, then King Cobra says he has all the information he needs and that once he gets all the facts together, somebody will get a title shot. As his first order of business, Cobra then makes a match between Mike Anthony and K-Toomer that happens right now. Mike Anthony and K-Toomer then shake hands before getting in the ring.

Mike Anthony beats K-Toomer. During the match, K-Toomer inadvertently splashes referee Colt Jackson into the corner, and after Mike Anthony hits K-Toomer with the Genetic Nightmare, he then grabs a chair from the audience and hits K-Toomer with it multiple times before reviving the referee and getting the win. After the match, Mike Anthony heads to the heel locker room, and an angry K-Toomer has to be helped up to his feet.

We hear from Barnabas the Producer, who calls himself "CEO of Ringleader Records" and gives the DJ at the booth for the show a hard time while boasting he could take Al Kapone to the top before demanding the DJ play the track that he provided.

"The GunShow" Brett Michaels retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against Mikey. After the match, Dustin Starr is handed a message by an unknown person who tells Dustin "You've been served," and Dustin leaves the announce desk.
