Collision Course - Collision recap for October 14, 2023

Adam Copeland heads to the ring to start tonight's show. As Copeland is about to address everything that Christian Cage said on Dynamite this week, Christian Cage, Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne shows up with members of security (one of whom is Myron Reed) as well as a man in a suit (who is KM, aka Kevin Matthews). Christian Cage says that he has brought a security detail for Copeland's protection, not his, and tells Copeland to leave the ring and head to the back before he is forcefully removed. He also says that he wants a fair one-on-one match with "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson so he can prove that he is the best in the world. Suddenly, Danielson shows up and says that Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne have been banned from ringside for their match. Danielson then says they will find out who is the better man and who is more deserving of TNT Champion, then "Absolute" Ricky Starks and Big Bill show up. Starks says everyone in the ring is taking up his and Big Bill's time, and states that he has respect only Christian Cage before standing with him and stating that unlike Danielson, he is a real AEW champion, and proposes a match. Suddenly, FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) head to the ring. Cash Wheeler says they wanted to defend the AEW tag titles last week despite being banged up, then says that they do not mind working their way back up to the top and that they are coming for the tag titles. Dax Harwood says Starks and Big Bill were better than them, but that was only for one night. Danielson then proposes that he and Christian have their match right now. Christian sics his security detail on FTR, Danielson and Copeland only for the security detail to be laid out, with one member tapping to the Lebell Lock.

"Rock Hard" Juice Robinson beats "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels. After the match, "Switchblade" Jay White "proposes" to Juice Robinson with an imitation Dynamite Diamond Ring, which Robinson puts on and hits Christopher Daniels in the face with. Robinson then tells MJF that he is not the only one who can knock a man out with a ring on his fist and that he has been knocking people out for years with nothing on his hand, and that he really got the ring from TJ Maxx for $24.99 and is not a real diamond ring. He then states that when he wins the Dynamite Dirty Dozen Battle Royal and wins the real ring, Bullet Club Gold will pawn the real ring off and go on vacation. Jay White then says that MJF has no one to blame but himself for all that is happening to him and his world falling apart, and that MJF's world will crumble for good when he becomes AEW World Champion.

We hear from "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes, who says that a storm is coming and that he is the storm when he comes back home to Texas where he belongs and wins the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal, the Dynamite Diamond Ring and the AEW World Championship.

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Nick Wayne. When told that he has to explain himself in a sit-down interview with Jim Ross in which his mother will also be present, Nick Wayne says if it takes that interview to explain himself, so be it.

When Max Caster mentions MJF again, Billy Gunn and Anthony Bowens tells Caster that his relationship skills need work, and ask him to say the first nice thing that comes to mind. Max Caster fails when he asks Renee "How about those Oral Sessions?". Angelo Parker, Matt Menard, Daniel Garcia and Jake Hager show up and say that The Acclaimed's time as trios champions are over and that they want the titles next week.

"Limitless" Keith Lee quickly beats Turbo Floyd.

We hear from Miro. Miro says the last few weeks have been difficult with CJ Perry being around. He says that she will be surrounded by all the things she loves, which will make her vicious and more angry, until there is nothing left. He says that this will happen unless he stops it. Miro then grabs Action Andretti and states that he will destroy every man to protect CJ Perry, for it is his promise.

We see a video package for CMLL World history Middleweight Champion Mistico vs. CMLL World Historic Welterweight Champion Rocky "Azucar" Romero for "Mexico's Pound-For-Pound Crown" next week on Rampage.

Christian Cage retains the TNT Championship against "The American Dragon' Bryan Danielson after Big Bill distracts the referee so that "Absolute" Ricky Starks can hit Danielson with one of the AEW tag titles. After the match, Nick Wayne and Luchasaurus show up and join Starks, Big Bill and Christian in ganging up on Danielson when FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) show up. The numbers game catches up to them before Adam Copeland shows up to lend FTR a hand. Nick Wayne ends up being surrounded in the middle of the ring, and he gets Speared by Copeland to end the show.
