Memphis Thing - Memphis Wrestling recap for October 21, 2023

Dustin Starr interviews K-Toomer at the announce desk. K-Toomer says he is in a good mood this week, as he has a good reason to turn the WrestleCenter into a warzone and beat Mike Anthony. He says he is still giving Anthony the benefit of the doubt, but he wants to do this right, and asks for King Cobra to come out. K-Toomer tells King Cobra that they started out on the wrong foot and that it is respect from here on out, then tells him something will happen whether he allows it or not. King Cobra tells him he just books the matches as Dustin Starr says that Mike Anthony is banned from the WrestleCenter. All of a sudden, Mike Anthony shows up in the parking lot where he is kept away from the building, and K-Toomer heads to the parking lot and brawls with Mike Anthony. Mike Anthony tries to hit K-Toomer with a chair, but K-Toomer powerbombs him into a dumpster full of cardboard and throws the chair in it with him. Mike Anthony gets out and hits him in the head as it is near a trailer. K-Toomer is still able to fight back, and when he takes the chair, Mike Anthony dares him to hit him with the chair, saying he doesn't have it in him to do it. Big Dan stops K-Toomer from hitting Mike Anthony with the chair, and Mike Anthony is removed from the premises.

Backstage, Ruffshot Lamont tells Notorious Bradley that they are doing "bad business" due to Barnabas the Producer, who he says has cost him a tag team title shot. Suddenly, Barnabas states that he has a vision that in one week, everything will be squashed, for he is taking them all the way to the top when he will be in the main event. The L.A. Hustlers (Ruffshot Lamont and Notorious Bradley) are excited at first until they realize it is the Monster Brawl match.

Colton Cage congratulates Justin Cole on getting back on track despite stating that he has dropped the ball lately on commentary during the match, and Dustin Starr says he cannot wait for Justin Cole to watch the match back.

Backstage, Terrence Ward interviews Tim Grind. Tim Grind says that in all the years he has been in the business, The Posse (Simon and Mr. Chris) has taken it too far by kidnapping and brainwashing his son as well as trying to run Flex over with a truck. He says he will have a better update on Flex next week, then notices a man with a motorcycle helmet and confronts him over two weeks ago. The man with the helmet says he did not do it, then Flex says he has to find out who tried to run Flex over.

We then hear from Mackenzie Morgan, who says that she is defending against Shalonce Royal as she tells Tim Bosby that the main event will be no easy task. Tim Bosby then announces that in two weeks, he and "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane will have a rematch to make it a best of five and that he will have Mackenzie Morgan in his corner.

Dustin Starr interviews "The GunShow" Brett Michaels at the announce desk. Suddenly, the man who served Dustin Starr with papers last week shows up, and Dustin Starr identifies him as a lawyer. The lawyer calls Dustin Starr an egomaniac who thinks that everything is about him and that his balloon is about to pop, then serves The GunShow with papers. The Hollywood Clique ("Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock, Van Viciouss, Secret Service) soon shows up, and "Hollywood" Jimmy Blaylock accuses Brett Michaels of jumping him in the AutoZone Park parking lot and Dustin Starr of covering it up. Blaylock also says he has not been able to work because of The GunShow and that he cannot drive himself anywhere or even make love to his wife without the help of his team, and that he will sue The GunShow for all of his money. Van Viciouss states that his lawyers have told him not to say anything.

Backstage, "All The Way" Ray Collins says the fans call him "All The Way" for a reason, and that it is easier to show why than to explain why. He says the fans gave it to him, then "The Pope" Elijah Burke made it official. As far as what's next is concerned, he says to stay tuned.

Mackenzie Morgan retains the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship against Shalonce Royal. Marty Elias is the championship official for this match. During the match, "The Best of the Best" Austin Lane and "Smokin' Hot" Nikki Lane show up and distract not only Mackenzie, but also referee Marty Elias, who does not see Shalonce Royal pinning Mackenzie with a roll-up. When Austin and Nikki show up, so does Tim Bosby. Mackenzie retains with a belly-to-belly suplex. After the match, Tim Bosby confronts Austin Lane when he and Nikki get in the ring.
