Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for April 29, 1999

The show starts with WWF co-owner Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon heading to the ring flanked by local law enforcement. Vince says he is extremely proud to stand in front of the crowd tonight as well as his daughter Stephanie. He is proud of his personal accomplishments, but not so much about his business ones. He also admits that he has been an asshole after the crowd chants "asshole," and hopes that he can change. He says it is true that he has been ruthless and uncaring of others, and even stepped on - and crushed - a few toes. Sometimes it has been for business and other times at the expense of his family, and he takes the first step towards reclaiming control of his own company. He says he will be "a competitive S.O.B.," but he will take time to smell the roses and thank those individuals who have made him who he is. He thanks "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock for his loyalty and helping Stephanie out of the boiler room a few weeks ago. He thanks The Big Show for coming to Stephanie's aid last week, and he also thanks "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Stephanie takes the microphone and thanks them as well, and says she was taken against her will, stripped of her clothes and dressed in a black gown for an unholy wedding. She says she has never felt so powerless and violated in all her life, as The Undertaker kept touching her and whispering in her ears that she was his and that there was nothing she could do it. She thanks Austin again from the bottom of her heart and soul, then says she hopes The Undertaker burns in Hell. Vince then makes a promise to Austin, but before he can make that promise, The Corporation shows up. WWF co-owner Shane McMahon wants to know why Vince is here at first, but then asks if they would have been there for Stephanie if something bad happened to them. He also rips into Vince for apologizing about how he ran business and for thanking "Stone Cold" Steve Austin for saving Stephanie, and that he doesn't give a rat's ass about Stephanie, Austin or Vince. Vince tells Shane he can "give a rat's about this," and is about to smack Shane before Chyna and "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna step in. Shane tells them he's got this, and tells Vince to get his attitude out of his face before he slaps the wrinkles out of his, and tells him and Stephanie to leave the ring. Vince tells Shane that one day he may be a man, but tonight, he is acting like a petulant little boy. Vince and Stephanie leave the ring and head to the back, then Shane gets down to business. He says there have been two thorns in his side as of late: The Rock and Austin. Since they have a history with each other and cannot get along, he puts them on the same side in a tag team match against two volunteers. The first is Triple H, but when it comes to the second one, he asks "Are there any takers?" Suddenly, the lights go out and The Undertaker shows up on the TitanTron and curses Austin for ruining last week's ceremony to make Stephanie his bride and servant, and says Austin stuck his nose where it did not belong. He says that last week, Austin played spoiler, but this week, he will play judge, jury and executioner. Shane makes The Undertaker the second volunteer, and asks the crowd if they can feel the power of Shane McMahon. He says it can happen, because he said so.

Jeff Jarrett and Debra are looking for Owen Hart backstage. Meanwhile, Owen Hart is back in the Blue Blazer outfit, saying that the World Wrestling Federation needs a superhero, and that tonight, he is going to bring them one.

Before the next match, Val Venis says that tonight, he invites the ladies to invest in "The Big Valbowski's" mutual fun, as it is always up more than it is down, and with this fun, there will never be an early withdrawal. When Jeff Jarrett shows up, he says he has no idea where Owen Hart is and it pisses him off, but he can consider him his replacement. Before the match begins, The Blue Blazer shows up and trips Venis up from behind, and the match begins.

The Blue Blazer beats Val Venis when Debra distracts the referee. Venis gets a Fisherman's Suplex in, but Jeff Jarrett gets in the ring and kicks Jarrett in the crotch, giving the Blazer the win. After the match, Nicole Bass shows up and tells Val Venis "you owe me." Venis hightails it to the back as Nicole comes after him. After Venis and Nicole leave, The Godfather shows up with his hos to make good onthe stipulation from the match earlier this week on Raw, and fights off both the Blazer and Jarrett. The Godfather tries to get Debra to join him, but Jarrett and The Blazer fight back and double-team The Godfather.

The Rock is backstage. He says he will have to "make a bunch of monkey asses famous" tonight.

Kevin Kelly interviews The Blue Blazer. He says he is back in the WWF because the WWF needs the Blue Blazer back. When Kevin calls him Owen, The Blazer asks who Owen is, then says he is looking for him, too. He says the WWF has become deplorable, and says there is too much cleavage. He also says Val Venis is deplorable. He says the WWF needs a superhero like him who protects good from evil. He then tells "the little Blazers" to take their vitamins, say their prayers and drink their milk. (Fun fact: Faarooq is seen clear as day walking by in the background.)

Big Show beats Test. During the match, it is announced that WWF co-owner Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon have just exited the building in disgust around the time that The Big Boss Man shows up. After the match, Boss Man gets in the ring, and Big Show almost chases him around the ring. As Big Show leaves, Boss Man gets back in the ring and hits Test in the head with his nightstick. Big Show runs back into the ring and chases Boss Man to the back.

The Rock shows up. He says that WWF co-owner Shane McMahon and "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley decide to check themselves in to the Smackdown Hotel earlier this week, and tells them they will check in, but they won't check out without his fist in their mouths and his foot up their asses. As for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, they will fight the fight, but they are not partners, buddies or friends, and if Austin gets in his way, he'll shove his horns up his ass. Austin shows up, and he tells The Rock he will always be some punk kid who spits out nursery rhymes. Austin then tells The Rock he will knock his horns off his head, wipe his ass and put him on a barbecue grill. Suddenly, Shane McMahon shows up and says it is perfect that they cannot get along, as his plan is getting bigger and better as he speaks. The lights then go out, and The Undertaker shows up and stands side by side with Shane. He asks if they understand and if they can see the power, and spells it out a little bit more. Suddenly, The Corporation and The Ministry of Darkness show up on the stage at the same time. Shane introduces The Rock and Austin - and the WWF - to The Corporation Ministry, and tells The Rock and Austin to get it together and change their strategy.

Kevin Kelly interviews Kane and X-Pac. X-Pac says that if Kane wants wants things to be unpredictable, then unpredictability is what we are going to get.

D'Lo Brown beats Droz by disqualification after Prince Albert gets involved in the match. After the match, Ivory runs to the back, and Prince Alberto is about to give D'Lo an impromptu tongue piercing when Ivory returns with "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry, who has not been seen in some time. Mark Henry fights off Droz and Prince Albert to make the save for D'Lo.

Kevin Kelly interviews The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). Road Dogg says they have "champs" written all over them. Road Dogg says it may get a little wacky with X-Pac being a close, personal friend, but Billy Gunn tells Road Dogg that are no friends when it comes to the tag team titles.

X-Pac and Kane retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) as Gunn lifts X-Pac over his head only for X-Pac to come down on him for the pinfall when Road Dogg accidentally trips him.

"Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn argue backstage over their match to the point that officials have to keep Road Dogg away from Billy Gunn.

Dok Hendrix interviews The Brood (Gangrel, Edge, Christian) in the ring. Gangrel says The Brood spoke by their own choice, which was forbidden by The Undertaker. When they came to the WWF, they created the guidance and the guiding light to show them the way. However, The Undertaker's thoughts do not match their own, and in the darkness, they seek a much different light. Gangrel says they live their collective lifestyle in who they are and what they believe in, in the search of the mystery of life in the hereafter. The power is what they seek, and it is within all of us, and they just have to unleash it. Dok Hendrix says some people think The Brood are "off the charts." Edge says they will understand, as understanding is just a matter of time as the power lies within them and it is up to them to find it. They are who they are: the unholy trio. They will become what they will follow. Those who believe will follow, while those who don't will merely exist. Edge then tells Dok Hendrix to beware and take care, because the freaks will come out at night. Dok says he has no idea what The Brood is smoking, but he says it is a gimmick and that they are just drawing attention. Gangrel doesn't care what Hendrix thinks, and says they are who they are and know what they are capable of. He then says that "Michael" (a reference to Dok Hendrix's real name, as Dok Hendrix is really Michael P.S. Hayes of The Fabulous Freebirds) is the one who is confused. The Brood then jumps Dok Hendrix, who is then the victim of a blood bath.

"Bad Ass" Billy Gunn is seen hunting down X-Pac backstage.

Kevin Kelly interviews "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock backstage. Shamrock says Bradshaw has been a pain in his backside, and tonight, he will pay for what he did earlier this week on Raw. Shamrock says he was born in the streets and fought in the streets for space. He plans to break Bradshaw's arms, legs and spirit before he beats the crap out of him some more, as he is ready to lay it all on the line.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock attacks Bradshaw from behind before the Street Fight begins.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats Bradshaw in a Street Fight after choking him out with a baseball bat. Shamrock has to be pulled off Bradshaw after the match by referees and officials, whom Shamrock scares out of the ring. Shamrock ends up snapping and hitting Sgt. Slaughter with the bat.

Kevin Kelly interviews Mankind in the Boiler Room. After Mankind introduces himself to those who have never watched WWF before, saying he sits in boiler rooms because he likes the ambiance, that he wears a sweaty leather masks to sell a few dolls, that he wears a shirt and tie because it looks damn good, and that he shoves a sock that looks a like him down his opponents' gullets because he can and because the fans enjoy it, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn can be heard yelling at X-Pac wondering where he is at. Mankind responds to this by simply saying "What a whiner."

Backstage in WWF co-owner Shane McMahon's dressing room, Shane is seen talking to The Corporate Ministry, saying that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Rock will feel The Corporate Ministry's wrath.

Mankind beats The Big Boss Man with the Mandible Claw after Test and Big Show keep Boss Man from running away from the match.

"Bad Ass" Billy Gunn attacks X-Pac in the locker room. Kane quickly makes the save, and Billy Gunn runs away.

The Corporate Ministry ("Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and The Undertaker) vs. The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin ends when The Corporate Ministry attacks The Rock and Austin. Test, The Big Show and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" run into the ring and clean house, and the match turns into a brawl. Triple H and The Rock take their brawl into the crowd, while The Undertaker choke slams Austin. WWF co-owner Vince McMahon shows up as WWF co-owner Shane McMahon tosses a chair to The Undertaker, and he clocks Shane before trying to stop The Undertaker from hitting Austin with a steel chair only to have the chair smacked into his head. Austin hits The Undertaker with a Stone Cold Stunner, and Shane starts punching an unconscious Vince. Austin approaches Shane, flips him off, gets his hands on him and hits him with a Stunner. Austin then drinks a few beers and uses some of it to revive Vince to end the show.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for April 26, 1999

This episode is dedicated to the passing of "Ravishing" Rick Rude, who passed away last Tuesday.

At the Central Florida Mental Hospital, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is disrupting the entire ward. Despite the warning that there is no Nitro tonight for all the other patients, Nitro airs on the television, anyway. Flair dances around with the nurse.

WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon and referee Charles Robinson go through some documents. It is revealed that in case WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair cannot perform his duties due to incapacitated, it falls on the Vice President of WCW, who happens to be Robinson - who is above Commissioner "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and cannot believe what is happening. Since Flair was not deemed incompetent at the time, the ruling cannot be challenged.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls. Also, Mike Tenay replaces Bobby "The Brain" Heenan for the week, as Heenan is under the weather.

Commissioner "Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up. Piper says that since "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is now incapacitated, he is the sole man in power in World Championship Wrestling, and he says there will be a big night tonight as the fans deserve it. Piper reinstates "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Gorgeous George back into WCW. Also, Savage will face Scott Steiner, who says he can take on any man, for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. He then addresses Diamond Dallas Page, asking the people what they want to see due to DDP being "THe People's Champion." DDP shows up, and after Piper puts DDP on a pedestal, he asks DDP to give a title shot to Sting. DDP says that no matter what, there is nothing that he would rather do that to put up the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Sting tonight...almost. Piper tells DDP he is his reality check, and that he will be defending against Sting tonight. Not only that, but DDP has 45 minutes to prepare before he faces Sting in the second hour.

Konnan beats Brian Adams by disqualification after he is attacked by the black-and-white nWo. After the match, it is announced that Mike Tenay's detailed weekend report is on the WCW Hotline.

Before the next match, Raven says that Perry Saturn has been laid out by The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko), and he has to fight The Armstrong Brothers (Scott and Steve Armstrong). As far as Benoit and Malenko is concerned, it's not over until the fat lady sings, and he's never seen an opera with a happy ending.

The Armstrong Brothers (Scott and Steve Armstrong) beat Raven in a 2-on-1 handicap after Steve Armstrong uses the steel chair that Raven introduced into the match against him as he pins Scott following an Evenflow DDT.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair calls WCW Vice President Charles Robinson from the mental hospital, and tells him to get Commissioner "Rowdy" Roddy Piper put in jail.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW Vice President Charles Robinson, who confirms that he is in charge of the company and not Commissioner "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Robinson also confirms that Sting vs. Diamond Dallas Page for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is still on. Piper shows up, calls Robinson - who calls for security - a little leprechaun, and says the only thing Robinson is in charge of is "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's bedpan. He also says Flair was not in much charge of anything when Gorgeous George slapped the snot out of him a few weeks ago. Robinson responds by slapping Piper, and security, local law enforcement, officials and even WCW Executive Committee Chaiman J.J. Dillon shows up as Piper gets his hands around Robinson's throat. Piper is pulled off of Robinson and arrested, and Robinson fires Piper from his job as Commissioner before telling him he still has Flair at Slamboree.

Sting beats Diamond Dallas Page to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion for a fifth time after hooking the top rope to block a Diamond Cutter and hit a Scorpion Death Drop.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair calls WCW Vice President Charles Robinson from the mental hospital, complimenting him on a great match with Sting and Diamond Dallas Page and tells him to make Goldberg vs. Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship official for Slamboree.

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Psychosis to become the WCW Cruiserweight Champion for a fifth time. During the match, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko show up, and try to recalim Rey's half of the WCW World Tag Team Championships. Rey takes them out, then Psychosis hits Rey with a baseball slide. The match ends after Rey counters a move by Psychosis into a Tornado DDT. After the match, Benoit and Malenko run into the ring, throw Psychosis out of the ring and attack Mysterio. Benoit then walks away with Malenko and Rey's half of the WCW World Tag Team titles.

Kevin Nash shows up. He says he has been informed backstage that at Slamboree, the main event is now Goldberg vs. Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and somehow it became forgotten that he had a title shot that night. He assures that he himself has not forgotten, and since Goldberg is in the back tonight and Sting and Diamond Dallas Page have already gone at it, he challenges Goldberg, DDP, and Sting to a Four-Way Match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He says he has his gear in the car, and says he is waiting for an answer. At the Central Florida Mental Hospital, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair tells WCW Vice President Charles Robinson to make that match official before messing around with the nurse on duty.

Bam Bam Bigelow quickly beats Erik Watts.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting. Sting says he is back in black, and being back in black, if Kevin Nash wants him for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he will say yes to stop all the whining in the back. He says there was no chance he was going to say now to Nash, Diamond Dallas Page or Goldberg, and he will see them all tonight.

Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship against Meng. During the match, Booker T accidentally spin kicks Meng into the referee, and Stevie Ray shows up. Meng goes for the Tongan Death Grip, but Stevie Ray runs into the ring and smacks Meng in the back of the head with his slapjack. Both Booker and Meng come down, and Booker has his arm over Meng to retain the title. After the match, Stevie Ray gets in the ring, and Rick Steiner rushes in to get a piece of him. Booker T sees this and shoves Rick Steiner away from Stevie Ray, who gets out of the ring.

It is announced that Hollywood Hogan has received surgery from Dr. James Andrews at HealthSouth Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. We then see footage from HealthSouth. Andrews tells us Hogan's injury is a tear to the outside knee cartilage. We then see Hollywood Hogan and Eric Bischoff head to HealthSouth. Hogan says he can take care of Diamond Dallas Page with a bad leg, but Bischoff urges him to take care of his leg first as DDP will be around, and let Kevin Nash take care of the family business. Hogan ultimately decides to take Bischoff's advice, and we see footage of him going under the knife. It is then mentioned by doctors that Hogan will have to sit on the sidelines for a while, and that being used to knee pain, Hogan will probably train at a higher degree than what he is capable of, which can have deleterious effects on the knee.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair calls WCW Vice President Charles Robinson from the mental hospital, and tells Booker T vs. Rick Steiner for Slamboree. He also asks Robinson to make the four-way match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship a no-disqualification match, and that there must be a winner for it. After Flair gets off the phone, he teaches some of the patients there to dance Flair-style. All of a sudden, Scott Hall suddenly shows up in a gown much like everyone else, and tosses his toothpick at Flair.

Brian Knobbs beats Mikey Whipwreck, Horace Hogan and Hak in a four-way hardcore match.

Before the next match, Scott Steiner says he has a message for "Rowdy" Roddy Piper: real men don't wear skirts, and he is part of the nWo and does not take anything from WCW officials. He does, however, like "Macho Man" Randy Savage's match with him. If Savage wins, he is the next United States champion, but if Savage loses, he will take Gorgeous George and show here what it is like to be with a real macho man. He then tells Savage to get out to the ring if he wants to take on the largest arms in the worlds, as he will trash him. When Savage shows up, he shows up with another woman who goes by the name "Miss Madness." After this, WCW Vice President Charles Robinson gets in the ring, kicks the referee out, and becomes the referee for the match, going so far as to referee the match in street clothes.

Scott Steiner retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against "Macho Man" Randy Savage in Savage's first match since June 1998 after Steiner pushes Savage into special guest referee Charles Robinson, who calls for the bell despite the contact being incidental and not deliberate. After the match, Gorgeous George confronts Robinson from inside the ring, and Robinson is suddenly laid out by Madusa, who tosses Robinson into the ring. Robinson is stripped down to his boxers, which are the same Florida Gators boxers that "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair was wearing last week.

We see footage of Madusa training Gorgeous George.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Sting, Goldberg and Kevin Nash to regain the WCW World Heavyweight Championship that he lost earlier in the show. During the match, Goldberg hits Sting with a Spear and a Jackhammer, but the pin is suddenly broken up by "Macho Man" Randy Savage, who hits Goldberg with a top rope elbow drop before getting out of the ring and tossing a foreign object to Diamond Dallas Page. DDP wraps it around his knuckles and punches out Kevin Nash, and becomes a two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 26, 1999

RAW

A limousine pulls up, and WWF co-owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco are in the arena.

The Rock shows up. Last night, he and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin went at it, and he kicked his candy ass all over the arena. He gives credit where credit is due, then tells Austin he will always be the biggest piece of trailer park trash walking God's green earth. He says Austin gave him his ass, and that he kicked his ass like no other, but when all was said and done, he still walked out The People's Champion. He now has but one problem: a 200-pound piece of steaming, stinking piece of monkey crap named Shane McMahon. Before he went one-on-one with Austin, he told Shane not to get involved in his match with Austin as he wanted to take care of Austin on his own. Before he can say more, Shane McMahon shows up with The Corporation. Shane confronts The Rock for his choice of words, and tells him he practically handed the WWF Championship on a silver platter last night. He blames The Rock's loss on letting The Corporation down and entertaining the fans, and if he had just beaten Austin, he would be the WWF Champion right now. Instead, he is "the big piece of monkey crap. The Rock takes off his sunglasses and threatens to kick his candy ass, and Shane tells The Rock to get his attitude out of his face "if you smell what the boss is cookin'." The Rock tells Shane he is three seconds away from him laying the smackdown on his candy ass. "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley goes for a cheap shot only to get punched in the face, but Chyna hits him with one. The Rock hits Chyna, then The Corporation goes after him. Shane settles things down so he can get a shot for himself, and takes the boots to The Rock before choking him with The Big Boss Man's nightstick. After everyone else stomps The Rock, Shane then tells The Rock that he is fired from The Corporation. As The Corporation leaves, The Rock tells Shane that if he has the guts, to face him in the ring tonight. Shane accepts the challenge.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson are in the locker room. Vince says he is negotiating with The Undertaker to get Stephanie McMahon back. Vince says he has no way to trust The Undertaker, but he has no other choice, and hopes that The Undertaker has not harmed Stephanie.

The encore presentation of Backlash is tomorrow night at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central on pay-per-view!

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson wait for The Undertaker to call, while The Corporation celebrate firing The Rock.

Kane and X-Pac beat The Brood (Gangrel and Edge). Before the match, it is announced that WWF will be returning to broadcast television at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central this Thursday night (check local listings), and Kane and X-Pac will be defending the WWF Tag Team Championships against The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). After the match, The Brood (Gangrel, Edge, Christian) attack Kane on the outside as the lights go out and red lights flash. When the lights come back on, Kane is the victim of a bloodbath, and he lashes out on X-Pac by chokeslamming him over the barricade.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco, and Pat Patterson get a phone call.

During the break, WWF co-owner Vince McMahon picks up the phone. The Undertaker is on the other end, and says "she's real fine." He tells Vince he knows what he has and what he wants, and Vince tells him he has brought everything he has asked for, including controlling interest in the company, and wants Stephanie back. The Undertaker says he likes the fact that Vince has planned ahead, and once he gets the documents, Stephanie will be returned unharmed. If Vince slips up just once, however, he will never see her again. Vince threatens to hurt The Undertaker if he so much as harms a hair on Stephanie's head, but The Undertaker asks him if that is any way to talk to his daughter's soulmate before telling him to deliver the documents at 10 PM sharp by the loading dock of the nearby Landmark Hotel's parking lot. He also asks "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to deliver the documents. Vince says he has no idea how to get Austin to deliver them, and The Undertaker says that is Vince's problem, not his. Vince angrily hangs up.

Michael Cole interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the ring. Austin tells Michael Cole to get out of the ring, and says he did what he said he was going to do at Backlash. As far as The Rock saying he kicked his ass goes, all The Rock has to do is watch the video tape and see how much he beat The Rock's ass. Suddenly, WWF co-owner Vince McMahon shows up, and tells Austin "I need your help." He tells Austin that The Undertaker has his daughter Stephanie McMahon, and he needs his help. Austin tells him to start talking sense. Vince admits that they don't like each other, but Austin is the only one who can help him. Austin says he has a million problems of his own and doesn't care about Vince's. Vince says The Undertaker has made some demands for documentation, and has demanded that Austin deliver the documentation to The Undertaker to ensure that Stephanie is returned unharmed. Austin says that if Vince needs him, then that is all he needs to say. He does. Austin says that sounds really good, but he remembers how Vince has made his life hell and gives him credit for it and says he never forgets one thing that happens to him in the World Wrestling Federation. By the same token, he needs Vince McMahon...to kiss his ass.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson talk backstage. Vince says he will deliver the documentation himself.

D'Lo Brown interrupts Val Venis before he can say anything before the match and run into the ring, starting their match early.

D'Lo Brown beats Val Venis. During the match, Nicole Bass shows up, distracting Val Venis and allowing D'Lo Brown to hit the Sky High. After the match, Ivory jumps on top of Nicole Bass and tries to put her in a sleeper hold, but Nicole Bass tosses her over her shoulders and onto the mat.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is confronted by "The Big Show" Paul Wight backstage, who tells Austin that it's WWF co-owner Vince McMahon's daughter Stephanie McMahon who is on the line. Austin says he does not care who it is.

Michael Cole interviews The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). Billy Gunn says "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley has decided that he is too good for D-Generation X (X-Pac, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn), and that it is up to one of them to remind him of where he came from. He says he doesn't fail, and it is up to him to get the job done correctly.

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn. During the match, it is announced that WWF will be on the Home Shopping Network after Raw, and that there will be exclusive merchandise from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, Mankind and more. Also during the match, Chyna slams Billy Gunn into a ring post, and "Road Dogg" Jesse James shows up and confronts Chyna, who keeps Road Dogg away from the ring. As this happens, Triple H hits Billy Gunn with a Pedigree after taking advantage of Billy Gunn's hurt knee.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon tells Test and The Big Boss Man to take care of business tonight before talking to Rodney and Pete Gas.

An angry X-Pac looks for Kane backstage.

WAR ZONE

Mankind and "The Big Show" Paul Wight (now known as just "The Big Show") beat The Corporation (The Big Boss Man and Test) with a Mandible Claw to Mankind after The Big Boss Man throws Test to the wolves and into a potential Big Show choke slam. After the match, The Big Boss Man and Test have a war of words, and Test punches The Big Boss Man. When Test heads towards the back, The Big Boss Man attacks Test from behind with his nightstick.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is waiting around the hotel. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin sees footage of this on a monitor backstage at the arena.

The "Stone Cold" Steve Austin "100% Pure Rattlesnake" T-shirt is available now for $25 plus $6 shipping and handling!

X-Pac is still looking for Kane backstage. Meanwhile, Hardcore Holly and Al Snow are brawling backstage. Holly then steals the WWF Hardcore Championship, saying he will only get it back when he gives him a rematch for it.

We see a black-and-white shot of a house with a 1950s-era car in the driveway and a mailbox with the word "cleavage" on it. The shot zooms in, and we go into the house. We hear an audience clap as a man dressed like a kid from the 1950s pours Shredded Wheat into a bowl and says that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. He eats the cereal, then spits it out, realizing it is dry. He asks for Mom to bring some milk, and a woman in a sleeveless dress - and well-toned arms - shows up with a tray with a pitcher of milk on it and asks "Is this what mother's little boy is looking for? Does Mother's little Harry Beaver want some of Mother's milk?" The man then looks at the camera and smiles, his eyebrows going up and down a few times. We get the sitcom audience again, then we see the shot of the house from beginning, which is now zoomed out. The vignette ends.

Before the next match, Jeff Jarrett tells The Godfather that he has no idea who he thinks he is pimping hos, but when a former two-time Intercontinental Champion has a match with the current champion and the title is not on the line, it pisses him off. If The Godfather says he is all that, then he should put the title on the line so they can see "how well-hung he is." The Godfather says that if Jarrett wants a shot at the title, that is okay, but if he wins, Debra has to become one of his hos. Jarrett agrees to the match.

The Godfather retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Jeff Jarrett. During the match, Val Venis shows up and feasts his eyes on Debra, distracting Jarrett. Nicole Bass shows up, and Val Venis runs away. The Godfather gets a schoolboy pin on a distracted Jarrett to get the win. Before Debra can become one of The Godfather's hos, however, Owen Hart shows up and takes Debra to the back.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is waiting at the laoding bay of the Landmark Hotel.

"Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry's theme plays as P.M.S. (Terri Runnels and Jacqueline) make love to a man. They ask if he could be sexier, hotter or harder. Terri says they remember a time when they did not need men and were doing just fine by themselves, until along came a "gorgeous slab of 100% USDA prime meat." The man says this meat isn't done until they are satisfied.

Faarooq attacks "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock - who shows up with a baseball bat - from behind before Shamrock's match with Bradshaw can begin. The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) continue to attack Shamrock until Test rushes into the ring to equal the odds for Shamrock and help him clean house. Shamrock then snaps and starts swinging Bradshaw's wooden baseball bat around at ringside, then looks at Test and hands him the baseball bat.

Shane McMahon vs. The Rock ends with The Rock beating up Rodney and Pete Gas as he beats up Shane. "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley gets in the ring from the crowd as The Rock goes for The People's Elbow (formerly The Corporate Elbow), and Chyna shows up and attacks The Rock from behind prior to Triple H hitting The Rock with a Pedigree. Shane McMahon and Triple H trap referee Earl Hebner in the corner, and Rodney, Pete Gas and Shane restrain Hebner and two other referees as Triple H and Chyna continue to take the boots to The Rock.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon is waiting on The Undertaker at the nearby Landmark hotel. It is then revealed that The Ministry of Darkness - including The Undertaker and Paul Bearer - are in the building, as is Stephanie McMahon, who is screaming for mercy. Paul Bearer is seen carrying a book with the words "Ministerium Ex Acerbus" and an Undertaker symbol on it.

X-Pac shows up, and tells Kane he has been looking for him all over the building and has no idea what his problem is, and tells him to get in the ring. All of a sudden, he is attacked from behind by Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett. Suddenly, the lights go out and Kane, still covered in blood, shows up and fights off Owen and Jarrett. Jarrett receives a choke slam as Owen runs away, then X-Pac confronts Kane, who choke slams him. After some hesitation, Kane rolls X-Pac out of the ring and carries him to the back.

The Ministry of Darkness shows up. They bring out an Undertaker symbol, and Stephanie McMahon is strapped to it. The symbol - and Stephanie, who is wearing a black dress - is brought into the ring. The Undertaker says that before the ceremony begins, he must address the McMahon family, saying he is not to blame here and that this rests on WWF co-owner Vince McMahon's shoulders as he did not live up to his end of the bargain and goes on to say that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin showed his true colors as well. The ceremony then begins to unfiy Stephanie and The Undertaker in unholy matrimony. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock runs in with a baseball bat, but Faarooq, Bradshaw and Viscera quickly take him down. Backstage, WWF co-owner Shane McMahon tells The Corporation that they will not interfere until it gets worse. Not long after, Big Show shows up and fights off The Ministry of Darkness one by one until The Undertaker hits him in the face with Shamrock's baseball bat. Then, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up, mows down Mideon and goes at it with The Undertaker. The Undertaker runs away when Mideon attacks from behind, but Austin fights Mideon off again, grabs a steel chair and takes down the entire Ministry. Austin then unties Stephanie from the Undertaker, and Stephanie hugs Austin. WWF co-owner Vince McMahon shows up and reunites with his daughter Stephanie, and Vince thanks Austin. The show ends.

The Rock is seen entering the arena while dragging "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt on the floor.

Al Snow beats Hardcore Holly with a shot from Head to become the WWF Hardcore Champion in a hardcore match that goes in and out of the arena.

We see footage from earlier today of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin entering the arena.

The Undertaker is seen talking to The Ministry of Darkness. He tells Mideon and The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) that even though their recent fumblings have not been forgotten, they have been forgiven. He then says that they must look to the future and prepare for the arrival of their unholiness and higher power. He says the destruction and the tragedy now begins.

Before the next match, The Blue Meanie parodies Sable's pre-match announcement. When The Godfather shows up, he tells Goldust he is not offering him any of his hos, as "they don't want no scrubs."

The Godfather retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Goldust. During the match, The Blue Meanie distracts referee Jimmy Korderas so that Goldust can toss powder into The Godfather's face. The Godfather is able to knock the powder into Goldust's face, blinding him. The Blue Meanie gets in the ring, but Goldust inadvertently beats him up and hits him with Shattered Dreams. The Godfather whips The Blue Meanie into Goldust before hitting the Ho Train, then pins Goldust to retain the match.

Michael Cole interviews Al Snow in the bathroom. Snow argues with Head over who is WWF Hardcore Champion.

Before the next match, Debra shows up in a two-piece swimsuit with a red suit jacket over it. "Road Dogg" Jesse James says everyone came here for two reasons, and tells Debra to "show us those puppies." Debra is about to take the jacket off when Jeff Jarrett stops her. Road Dogg tells Jarrett that kind of control is for The Jerry Springer Show, but Jarrett continues to keep Debra from taking her jacket off. Road Dogg says Jarrett and Owen Hart may be spoilsports, but he and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn are not, and tells Gunn to "show 'em that ass!" Owen attacks Billy Gunn from behind, starting the next match.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett to become the #1 contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championships after Billy Gunn kicks out of a Figure Four Leg Lock attempt by Jarrett and breaks up a Sharpshooter on Road Dogg. After the match, Billy Gunn finally shows the crowd his ass.

Michael Cole interviews WWF co-owner Shane McMahon. Shane says that he is running the show, and gives his word on the name of his grandfather Vincent James McMahon that if "Stone Cold" Steve Austin can pin The Rock's shoulders to the mat, he will make the three-count. He also tells WWF co-owner Vince McMahon to take Stephanie McMahon to the skybox, enjoy the show and stay out of his way.

Kevin Kelly interviews WWF co-owner Vince McMahon. Vince says it is surreal that Shane is running the show, but he considers protecting his family more important and hopes Shane does not believe everything that he has said tonight. Stephanie says Shane knows how much his grandfather meant to his father, and knows exactly what he was saying when he gave his word on his grandfather's name. Vince says Shane made a big mistake last week, and hopes that tonight, he does not make a bigger one.

"The Big Show" Paul Wight makes his way into the boiler room, and looks for Mankind. Mankind ends up finding him, and the Boiler Room Brawl begins.

Mankind beats "The Big Show" Paul Wight in a violent Boiler Room Brawl in which he cuts his left hand while putting a plate of glass through Big Show hand. Immediately after the match, Test and The Big Boss Man attack Mankind, but Big Show gets back up and goes after them and chases Boss Man out of the boiler room. Test falls victim to a Mandible Claw from Mankind.

Michael Cole interviews "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna. Chyna says they always get what they want, but they do not want an ungrateful punk who forgot how he got in the WWF and who put him over in the first place. She tells X-Pac that there is a pecking order in the WWF, and that it is time somebody put him in his place. Triple H tells X-Pac he made his decision and asked for this, and now he's going to get it. He tells X-Pac he made his ass, and now he is going to break it.

We see footage of "The Big Show" Paul Wight finding out he will need a few stitches in his head and right hand, the latter of which has been dislocated. Meanwhile, Mankind says he does not want to face Big Show anymore as he has kids. He then takes a trip down memory lane in the boiler room.

"Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley beats X-Pac in a match that sees Triple H with a new aggressive streak and X-Pac hurt his neck in the middle of the match. During the match, X-Pac accidentally drills referee Mike Chioda with a baseball slide to the head before hitting Triple H with the X-Factor. Chyna then gets in the ring and hits X-Pac with a low blow followed by an inverted DDT before placing Triple H on top of X-Pac. Suddenly, Kane shows up and tries to choke slam Chyna, but when Triple H gets involved, he gets choke slammed before the same happens to Chyna. He then places Triple H and Chyna in opposite corners, then leaves just as Chioda comes to and gets back in the ring. X-Pac hits both Triple H and Chyna with the Bronco Buster. Triple H is able to get back up, however, and hit X-Pac with the Pedigree to win the match.

The Undertaker beats "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock. During the match, Bradshaw shows up with a baseball bat, but Shamrock knocks him off the apron. The Undertaker gets Shamrock into a choke slam, but Shamrock reverses it into a Cross Arm Breaker. Paul Bearer distracts the referee when Shamrock goes for an ankle lock, then Shamrock goes for a belly-to-belly suplex on The Undertaker only for The Undertaker to reverse it into a Tombstone Piledriver. After the match, Bradshaw attacks Shamrock before choking him out with the baseball bat, then leaves the bat behind when he leaves the ring.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon asks Stephanie McMahon to stay in the limo outside of the arena, and asks the nearby police officers to watch Stephanie until the next match is over.

Before the next match, WWF co-owner and special guest referee asks someone outside of the ring to take "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt to his office.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin retains the WWF Championship against The Rock in a match with WWF co-owner Shane McMahon as special guest referee. During the match, The Rock not only speaks into a headset from the Spanish commentary team, but he also gets a camera and mocks Austin before flipping him off, panning through the crowd and then panning back to Austin only for Austin to get back on his feet and hit a Stone Cold Stunner. When the match gets back in the ring, The Rock pushes Austin into Shane, but instead of disqualifying Austin and costing him the WWF Championship, he places The Rock's arm on Austin only for Austin to kick out. Shane then grabs the WWF Championship belt and waits for Austin to get back up. Both Austin and The Rock get on their feet at the same time, and Shane accidentally hits The Rock. When it comes time to make the pinfall for Austin, he flips him off instead of counting to three, proving his word to be worth nothing. WWF co-owner Vince McMahon shows up with Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt, and when Shane confronts him, Vince hits in the head with it and sends Earl Hebner into the ring. The Rock hits Austin with the WWF Championship, but Austin kicks out and hits The Rock with the title and hits a Stunner to retain the WWF Championship. After the match, Vince pushes Austin's custom-made belt to Austin, effectively handing it back to him.

Stephanie McMahon is still in the limousine, near the police. When The Ministry of Darkness show up, the police give the signal for the limo to speed away immediately. Stephanie asks the driver to stop and wait for her father Vince McMahon, but the divider opens and The Undertaker is revealed to be the driver. The Undertaker asks "Where to, Stephanie?" and laughs as Stephanie screams.

Before the next match, D'Lo Brown calls out Val Venis, saying that tonight's match was supposed to be a mixed tag match between him and Ivory and the team of Venis and Sable only for Sable to bow out of the match due to "previous Hollywood engagements." D'Lo then says that's not his problem, and tells Venis to replace Sable or else he will have "one hell of a handicap match." Venis shows up and says he may not be a one-man band, but after he is through drumming him solo, he may just let Ivory play with his slide trombone.

Val Venis beats D'Lo Brown and Ivory in a two-on-one handicap match. During the match, Nicole Bass shows up and grabs Ivory by the hair before choke slamming her for the win, making herself Venis' tag team partner in the match in the process. After the match, Nicole Bass tells Val Venis owes her his slide trombone in her brass section. Venis runs away, but Nicole slowly walks after him.

The Ministry of Darkness is seen entering the arena backstage.

Backstage, Jim Ross interviews X-Pac, who says that tonight is an emotional match due to Triple H giving him the call to come back to WWF and that things are different now. He then says that if Triple H wants to sell out on everything they believed him, it is his business, but he did it at his expense, and tonight, he will find out that his worst enemies are the ones who used to be his friends.

Backstage, Jerry "The King" Lawler interviews Triple H, who said that his recent actions were a long time coming and that X-Pac decided he was the decision maker. He then says that they were D-Generation, and when he wanted to play in the big leagues, it was him who got him over, but when it came time for decisions for him to be made, he thought it was wrong. He then asks X-Pac who told him to think, which he says is not X-Pac's forte, and says that he will be leader, for it is about the pecking order and he will both make and break him.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up. He says that tonight is the dawning of a new era and the "Shane McMahon 2000 inaugural ball," and in honor of tonight's show, he has created a stipulation for tonight's WWF Championship Match between The Rock and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, stating that the match will be decided under no holds barred rules. Shane promises that he will call the match down the middle, then tells "Stone Cold" that if he even so much as lays a hand on him, he will disqualify him on the spot and award the WWF Championship to The Rock. He then asks the fans if they can feel, as his power is in full effect after having seized the power and realized it felt good, then tells his father WWF Chairman Vince McMahon that he is creating a new dynasty for the World Wrestling Federation and a new era and new standard of excellence, and that he is "damn proud of it." Shane then tells Austin that he has been with The Rock day in and day out and knows that The Rock is furious after Austin crushed his $37,000 Lincoln Town Car, and says that it will be electric this evening after what has happened between The Rock and Austin. As Shane finishes talking, a black limousine pulls up outside of the arena, and Vince McMahon comes out of the limo with Stephanie McMahon to end the show.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for April 19, 1999

Goldberg is seen making his way into the arena. He announces right into the camera that tonight, he wants Diamond Dallas Page for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko) beat Scott and Steve Armstrong with a Texas Cloverleaf to Scott as Steve is fighting "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Benoit outside of the ring. Once again, referee Charles Robinson is in charge of a match involving the Horsemen.

Backstage, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper is seen looking through some forms.

WCW Head of Security Doug Dellinger confronts "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Gorgeous George, and tells Savage he is suspended and barred from the show. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up and uses his powers as WCW Commissioner to let Savage and Gorgeous George in, and says he will take full responsibility.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP sends a shout-out to Hollywood Hogan, and says he wishes him the best. He also announces that this week has been the greatest week of his life, being the WCW World Heavyweight Champion and all. He then addresses Goldberg, saying he gets himself overzealous and all worked up, and tells him to stop getting all worked up and start getting focused like him, as he knows what it is like to climb the ladder and grab the brass ring. He does not blame Goldberg wanting him, as he is the man and knows Goldberg wants to be him as he sees a lot of him in you. He then says there is nothing he would like more than to put the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line tonight, but it's not going to happen. Goldberg shows up before he can say why, and Okerlund gets out of the ring as DDP and Goldberg have an intense stare-down and war of words. It does not take long for Goldberg to demand a title shot and for DDP to give it to him.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper goes over some forms with David Flair. The focus of the conversation is on WCW President and David's father, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, whom Piper wants to send away for psychological evaluation for 72 hours. David signs the forms.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page backstage, who confirms that he is defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship as he has never walked away from a challenge in his life. The last time they squared off, they blew the roof off the place, and he wants to know what the roof is worth here tonight.

Psychosis beats Rey Mysterio Jr., Juventud Guerrera and Blitzkrieg to become the WCW Cruiserweight Champion! During the match, a man in black with a mohawk, sunglasses and a cane is seen sitting in the front row. Somehow, Tony Schiavone is able to identify him as Alex Wright, who has not been seen in months and is also seen with facial hair for the first time on WCW programming.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows up with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. He says that every time he comes to Gainesville, Florida, there are four or five thousand kids who want him to come to "The Swamp" so they can head up with him. As President of WCW, he wants to buy them all a drink so he can do just that, as he is president of the company and he can do what he wants when he wants to do it. Suddenly, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper shows up, and Flair wants to know why he has to rain on his parade. Piper tells Flair that he is fast becoming the "Dennis Rodman of WCW" and tells him that he is out of his mind and unfit to be WCW President, saying that "Patch Adams couldn't save him." He says he is his friend and he is here to help him, and tells Flair that he is stepping down as President. Flair says he calls the shots, but Piper says he is his reality check. Piper calls Flair out on tossing $600 pairs of shoes out into the crowd, but Anderson tells Piper he has seen Flair lose $3000 bags and never look back. Flair then throws his shows out into the crowd. Piper also calls Flair out for removing nearly all his clothes and handcuffing himself to the ring, but Anderson says he has seen Flair in his shorts many times and that it doesn't mean anything. Once again, Flair strips down to a pair of Florida Gators boxers, and says if he wants to stand out in the ring naked, he'll do it. Piper says he is not done, and even though he did not want the job of Commissioner, he is going to do it. Flair asks Piper what he is going to do to him, does the Flair strut, then accidentally says he is United States president before saying he is WCW President. Referee Charles Robinson hands Flair a robe - which Flair does not want to wear - before Piper hands Okerlund a note. It is from the general court of justice, Superior Court division in the competency matter of Ric Flair. It states that Flair, due to incapability of exercising rational judgment and weighing the consequences of his act, as well as being a forseeable risk of harm to himself and to WCW, he is incompetent and will therefore be removed from the office of President of WCW. Flair fires Piper as Commissioner, then says he is giving Florida back "the national title from Tennessee." Piper tells him this order is from him and his son David Flair, and tells Flair he signed a paper for a match without even knowing what it was, and the match is against Kevin Nash. Flair says he'll kick Nash's ass "from here to Nashville," and then tells him he is fired as Commissioner before telling him he will fight him at Slamboree, and if Piper wins, he gets to run the company. He then tells Piper that he's fired, but he is fighting his first. After some more arguing outside of the ring, Piper and Flair go at it before the show cuts to a commercial break.

Backstage, the black-and-white nWo meet up with Konnan, and Stevie Ray says Kevin Nash is looking for him. Konnan says he doesn't run with him anymore, and tells him to handle his business with him. This leads to the black-and-white nWo attacking Konnan.

Brian Knobbs - who has not been seen in WCW in a few years - beats Hak in a hardcore match after Bam Bam Bigelow shows up and knocks Hak off the top rope with a kendo stick, sending him head-first into a ladder.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage says he is between a rock and a hard place as "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair has made it impossible to do anything else, but he is bringing the best person to get the job done. Gorgeous George has had zero matches going in against referee Charles Robinson at Slamboree, and even though she has the attributes, she does not have the matches. He then brings in Madusa, who has not been seen in WCW in a few years. Madusa says she has always wanted to wrestle a man, and when she trains Gorgeous George, she'll be able to beat any man in WCW. She thanks God that the cavemen have woken up in WCW, as women are here and can make a statement, which is why she is here again: to make a difference.

The black-and-white nWo meet Kevin Nash, who tells them that he had no message for Konnan. Scott Steiner tells Kevin Nash that the World title shot should belong to him, not to Nash, and that Kimberly cost him that title shot by hitting him with a steel chair. Nash says he does not have a problem with Scott, but Scott says he will if that does not change. Stevie Ray then tells Nash that they know what the red-and-black nWo are doing behind their back, and that it ends. Nash tells them they "don't want none of this." Stevie Ray then brings up a plan with the rest of the black-and-white nWo: when Scott Norton shows up, they will take him out when he faces Scott Steiner.

Before the next match, Buff Bagwell says that everyone is calling the shots in WCW, he decides to call his own and says he and Scott Steiner will go at it for the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship at Slamboree, and tells Scott that if he brings the gold, he'll prove that he is buff and he is the stuff. He says there is no doubt that Scott Steiner is big and bad, but he is not buff and he is not the stuff. He then mocks Scott Steiner, saying "Big Poppa Pump is not your hook-up."

Buff Bagwell beats Disco Inferno. Alex Wright is seen in the front row again during the match.

Scott Steiner shows up with a couple of women. He says that when he comes to town, all his hooches come around, and tonight the greatest body in the world is gonna rock somebody's until they call him "The Big Bad Booty Daddy." He then tells all the ladies that Big Poppa Pump is your hook-up, and to holler if you hear him. He then tells Buff Bagwell his ego is so big that it is blurring his vision of reality. He says Buff's claim to fame is putting on a G-string and being a male dancer, and says he did not belong in the nWo anymore and nobody else disagreed with him. When he got tired of having a cheerleader and a knucklehead and laid him out, nobody came to help him, and says that before Buff was born, his mother wanted a girl but got him. He says Buff has issues and "broken toys in the attic," as real men don't wax their eyebrows or are Chippendale dancers. He then tells Bagwell that before he was in the nWo, he was nothing and they named him Buff, and now that he is kicked out, he should change his name to fit his "feminine personality," and that he should change it to "Boy Bagwell." He then says that he will enjoy beating the hell out of Buff Bagwell.

Kidman vs. Raven ends when The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko) get involved and attack Raven. Rey Mysterio Jr. rushes in, as does Perry Saturn, and Benoit and Malenko run away. After this, Rey and Saturn go at it after Saturn tries to help Raven back up, and Kidman then gets involved. Benoit and Malenko run back into the ring, and all three teams brawl.

Scott Steiner retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Scott Norton after Norton inadvertently elbows referee Johnny Boone in the eye, allowing Scott Steiner to headbutt Norton in the groin and use the ropes for leverage.

Before the next match, Kevin Nash addresses a couple of issues. He says that Hollywood Hogan is going under the knife this weekend, and regardless of whether Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tonight, he will break DDP's back for injuring Hogan's knee. If Goldberg wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he will challenge him for the title in two weeks at Slamboree. He then tells the crowd that they have good taste.

Kevin Nash beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. This is after referee Charles Robinson refuses to make the call. He leaves the ring, but he is attacked from behind by Gorgeous George, who then takes off Charles Robinson's referee shirt, put its on and makes the pinfall. After the match, three men in white coats show up and place Flair on a stretcher. As the stretcher is taken to the back, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper confronts Flair, and it becomes obvious to everyone - including "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson - that Flair is being taken to a mental hospital.

"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes guests on commentary for the next match.

Goldberg vs. Diamond Dallas Page for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship ends in controversy. During the match, DDP pulls out a foreign object to wrap around his right fist, and he also uses referee Mickey Jay as a human shield t protect himself from the Spear. Goldberg hits the Jackhammer, but there is no referee to make a count. Goldberg tries to revive Mickey Jay, but DDP hits Goldberg with the foreign object and knocks him out of the ring before punching him a few times before placing some steel steps below Goldberg's knee and smashing Goldberg's knee with a steel chair. Referee Johnny Boone shows up and tries to stop DDP from hitting Goldberg's knee with a chair, but DDP swings the chair forward and sends Boone into the guardrail. DDP is about to put Goldberg into a Figure Four Leg Lock on the ring post, but Kevin Nash shows up, attacks DDP and checks on Goldberg. DDP then hits Nash with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship to end the show.

Stephanie McMahon, who is there with Vince, does not know what to think about her brother Shane anymore, and says she feels like she does not know him or anybody anymore. She says that her father Vince has been the one person who has always been by her side, and she hopes that everything going on can come to an end. Suddenly, a security guard says there is a problem in the parking lot. Vince asks him to stay with Stephanie while another one accompanies him to the parking lot. Vince finds Mideon and fights him himself, then gets in a car and tries to run him over, but Mideon tosses Vince out of the car and speeds off.

Before the next match, Val Venis says "The Big Valbowski" has done it. He has solved the Y2K problem, and says all you have to do is add a few extra megabytes of RAM from this hard drive, and he promises the ladies won't care what year it is. Suddenly, Sable shows up, and Val Venis helps her into the ring. Sable tells everyone to stop begging as there will be no grind tonight, but she does have a special announcement and Val Venis' match will have to wait. In two short weeks, she will be shooting her second edition of Playboy Magazine, and if you thought the first one was hot, just wait until you see this one. Suddenly, Ivory shows up with D'Lo Brown, and Ivory and Sable start a catfight. Venis tries to stop the fight, but D'Lo Brown starts fighting Venis. Nicole Bass shows up and pulls Ivory off of Sable before choke slamming Ivory. Sable puts the boots to Ivory before D'Lo Brown carries Ivory to the back.

The Rock shows up and reads his eulogy for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and asks if Austin's roody-poo candy ass will fit in the casket. He says that vision will have to wait until Backlash to become a reality, and since he knew that Austin would not join him here tonight, he has brought something else to bury: Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt, which he is wearing underneath his suit jacket. He says that throwing it in the river was not good enough, and says he will bury it six feet under so it can rot like Austin's career. He says that Austin had better smell what he is cooking, because he will come snorting and spitting at Backlash, and he will spear his horns into Austin's candy ass. As he raises the custom-made belt up into the air, Austin shows up in an "Austin 3:16" monster truck. Austin finds The Rock's car, a new Lincoln Continental, then re-positions the car. He gets back into the monster truck and threatens to run it over, then backs it up and runs it over for real. He then drives the monster truck into the arena before getting out, swilling a beer on the hood, getting back in and running over the nearby hearse. Austin gets back out again and fights The Rock near the burial plot before clocking him into the grave with his custom-made WWF Championship. He then grabs a cooler full of beer, then pours out a cold one before drinking two more. He is then suddenly attacked from behind by WWF co-owner Shane McMahon with a shovel, then holds up the custom-made WWF Championship belt to end the show.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for April 18, 1999

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up to start tonight's show. Shane says that all week long, insiders have been saying that he would apologize for his actions last week on Raw, then says they are right. He says that he owes his father WWF Chairman Vince McMahon an apology, as he does not lack compassion and feelings and asks the fans what they would do if they "met their maker" like he did, then says it felt great when he reached out and grabbed that power, saying it felt fabulous. Shane says he is proud of what he did, and says he is "the only McMahon with balls the size of grapefruits." He says that in business, one must do everything they have to do and that nothing can get in the way, and while Vince and his sister Stephanie McMahon have gone through some emotional trauma, it is not his problem, for his priorities are this business and The Corporation, and The Corporation will be the most streamlined, omnipotent force in the history of the World Wrestling Federation. He then addresses "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, saying he is a blue collar worker who likes to get his hands dirty and dive into things, and for that, he is the special guest referee at Backlash. Shane then tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that he did not drown in the water, but at Backlash, he will gasp his last breath when he makes the three count and The Rock becomes WWF Champion again, as he is "the toughest S.O.B. in the WWF."

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats The Corporation (The Big Boss Man and Test) with an ankle lock to Test after The Big Boss Man refuses to let Test tag him in, telling him "You're gonna have to learn the hard way."

Backstage, Lucas interviews X-Pac, saying that Kane has yet to let him down, and is confident that that Kane will show up to the arena tonight.

Backstage, The Big Boss Man and Test are seen arguing, and WWF co-owner Shane McMahon tells The Big Boss Man that he has a match "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock tomorrow night on Raw, then tells Test to get his stuff together.

Tiger Ali Singh shows up. He says that as he looks over "this sea of wasted humanity," he gets the distinct impression that the fans do not like him and think he should be driving a taxi cab, working in a 7-11 or talking in a stereotypical accent due to the way he is dressed. He tells the fans not to hate him for who he is, but to look in the mirror and hate themselves for something they will never be. He says that money is power and that he has plenty of both, then offers $500 in cash to any American woman who will get in the ring, get on her knees and massage his royal feet. Suddenly, PMS (Terri Runnels and Jacqueline) show up, then get down to massage his feet. When Tiger Ali says he will split the money between them, PMS take offense to this and hold Sing down so that a man can come down from the crowd and attack Singh. PMS hold security back, and it is obvious that this man is with PMS.

Jim Ross interviews The Rock, who says that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin makes a big deal about his personal property, calling it "fifteen pounds of metal" that is really "a piece of trash" to him, and says he could care less about Stone Cold's career. He also says he could care less if Stone Cold could swim or not, and says that he has a psychological advantage against Austin, whom he says has "a few pounds of fear" in him after facing him more than anyone else. The Rock says he does not fear Austin, and that he knows Austin like no other. As for the subject of his detractors saying that he cannot beat Austin without WWF co-owner Shane McMahon as special guest referee, The Rock says he does not need anybody to beat Austin, that Shane made himself the special guest referee, and that he could care less who the referee is. He then says that "the trailer park trash fans" behind Austin are the ones questioning his motives. The Rock then says he would do absolutely anything to beat "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, whom he calls "a nothing, a nobody, a peon...an absolute nothing" while calling himself "a man and a half" when told Austin is a man just like him. The Rock then says he plans on becoming WWF Champion for a fourth time and ending Stone Cold's career, and tells Jim Ross to tell Austin that he will not only beat his candy ass, but he will beat him out of the business. The Rock then leaves.

Backstage, X-Pac starts to impatiently look for Kane.

The Brood (Edge, Christian, Gangrel) vs. Mideon and Viscera ends in a no-contest after The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) show up and attack The Brood and aid Viscera in hitting Gangrel with a body splash.

Backstage, Lucas interviews Triple H and Chyna. Triple H says that if X-Pac wants to be a man and face him and The Rock alone, then he will give him everything he deserves and tear him apart, then leave just enough of him for Backlash so he can finish him off.

Michael Cole interviews Sable in the ring. Sable says she is such demand these days that she barely has enough time for her beauty sleep, and that it is not easy being a diva. She then says that "Sable Inc." is the hottest stock on Wall Street and that everyone wants a share, and therefore, in the interest of her own safety, she has hired her own personal bodyguard: the world's largest female bodybuilder, Nicole Bass - the large, muscular woman from last week on Raw. Sable then says that if anybody is thinking about a hostile takeover on "Sable, Inc.," they will have to go through Nicole Bass first.

The Corporation (The Rock and Triple H) vs. X-Pac and Kane ends in a no-contest. X-Pac and Kane retain the WWF Tag Team Championships. Kane shows up shortly after the beginning of the match, then Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett run in and attack Kane. The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) then show up and fight off Owen and Jarrett to make the save for X-Pac and Kane. Afterwards, X-Pac tries to reach out to Kane, telling Kane that he has to trust him before handing him his half of the WWF Tag Team Championships. Kane then raises it up, and the show ends.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for April 12, 1999

Note: Surge is plugged for the entire episode.

The show starts with "Macho Man" Randy Savage thanking Diamond Dallas Page for becoming WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Savage tells DDP that he owes him a title shot, and Gorgeous George tells him "and don't you forget it." After Savage and Gorgeous George leave, DDP is attacked from behind with a steel chair by Scott Steiner, who tells him that he is nothing and that he will get even as far as DDP and his wife Kimberly are concerned.

Sting shows up. He says that it is good to be back in black. He says so many have tried and failed to put him out of wrestling over the years, and that it will never happen as he has cat's eyes and nine lives and he is here to stay. Many are overnight sensations, many are world champions, and many have power "where it lies," but there's only one Sting, and that he is the only one who has not built the house, but been here through thick and thin. He says the WCW house is his backyard and his turf, and if any one man said he built the house, it would have to be him, as it sure wasn't built by Diamond Dallas Page. Sting cuts to the chase, and says he will shake it up tonight by calling DDP out, and if DDP has anything hanging between his legs, he will be waiting.

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Juventud Guerrera by disqualification after "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko toss Juvi out of the ring and attack Rey. Raven and Perry Saturn rush into the ring and send Benoit and Malenko packing. Rey shoves Raven and Saturn off afterwards, apparently not wanting their help.

Jimmy Hart and Hugh Morrus are met by Hak and Chastity backstage. Hak says he will do them a favor and show Hugh Morrus how to beat Bam Bam Bigleow, and he does that by hitting Hugh Morrus in the head with a kendo stick. This has no effect on Morrus, who laughs, says "Like this?", takes the kendo stick and whacks a random backstage worker behind him repeatedly with it.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats Hugh Morrus in a Kendo Stick Match. After the match, Jimmy Hart tries to hit Bam Bam in the back with a Kendo Stick, but it has no effect and Bam Bam chases Jimmy Hart to the back.

Rey Mysterio Jr. speaks with Kidman, who is here from a personal appearance, and mentions "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko attacking him earlier in the show. Kidman reminds Rey he has his back, but WCW has him running around everywhere and that he won't always be able to watch his back all the time.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says that he "was not supposed to happen," and that either he is dreaming, or he is really WCW World Heavyweight Champion. He says "sorry about the leg" to Hollywood Hogan, and says that he wanted Hogan to be in there with Sting and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair when he had his hand raised, and when he was taken out of the match, it killed him. As far as Sting is concerned, nobody understands Sting more than him as they have a connection and thrive on competition. DDP says he sees a lot of him in Sting and knows what he wants, and says he deserves a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tonight. The problem is, he cannot give it to him tonight, as he has other things on his mind. Right now, he is in control and he is calling the shots. Tonight in the main event, he wants Scott Steiner, as there is unfinished business between them and he plans to show him that size doesn't matter when he kicks his teeth in.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows up with "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and referee Charles Robinson. It is announced by Tony Schiavone that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper is backstage tonight as Flair, Anderson and Robinson make their way to the ring. Flair says he cannot help but be enthralled by how tonight is playing out with Sting challenging Diamond Dallas Page to a World title match without talking to him as well as DDP challenging Scott Steiner to a match. Flair says that he has no choice but to hold the WCW World Heavyweight Championship up. Shortly after Flair makes this proclamation, "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up with Gorgeous George. Savage shows up with a piece of paper, and says that the WCW Executive Committee not only wrote what is on it and signed off on it, but so did Flair, and that the decision of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match is final. Savage tells Flair that his world is crumbling down on him, but Flair tells Savage that he is not reinstated and that he will never wrestle in WCW again as he does not want Savage to get the jump on him, and asks him who's world is crumbling now. As Flair tears the paper up, Robinson says he is areferee and Savage is not, and that Savage is not qualified to referee a match, much less a Four Horseman's match, and asks why Savage had "[his] bimbo" Gorgeous George out last night. Gorgeous George slaps Robinson in the face, and Flair tells Savage to move down the aisle while he still can. Savage challenges Flair to a match at Slamboree, and puts forward a match between his girl and "Flair's girl" Charles Robinson, and if Gorgeous George wins, he is reinstated. Flair tells Savage he has a deal, and says Robinson will beat Gorgeous George with the Figure Four Leg Lock. Savage says Gorgeous George with the big elbow. Suddenly, Sting shows up, and since "Diamond Dallas Trash" is dodging him and Flair won't reinstate Savage, he wants Flair in a match right now. Anderson tells Sting that Flair is not afraid of him, and that Flair will take the match and he will be with him. Sting says he's got more than enough to go around for Flair and Anderson, and calls Flair a punk. Flair and Sting then get in each other's faces as they froth in excitement over their match later on tonight.

La Parka and El Dandy vs. The Master Blasters (two unknown men with pantyhose on their head who are accompanied by Jimmy Hart who are not related to the original team of Kevin Nash and Al Green - Steel and Blade, respectively - from 1990 and 1991) ends when Kevin Nash shows up during the match with a microphone and stops the match, saying he has something to say and asks all four men to leave the ring. Nash ends up taking down all four men when none of them listen. He then shows us footage of the video screen of his sudden meeting with Hollywood Hogan last week. He says that the business at hand with him and WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is that if Hogan walked out with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, then he would get a title shot at Slamboree. He tells Diamond Dallas Page that he hopes he makes it to Slamboree with the title as what he did to Hogan last night was wrong and that he will pay the price Wolfpac style.

Kidman beats Psychosis.

We see a teaser for a secret WCW club called the "Slam Society."

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Goldberg. Goldberg says that ever since he made his debut in WCW, he has destroyed every single person in his path, but he has made a couple of mistake. As he built his record to 174-0, he got screwed, but after last night, he feels vindicated. Goldberg then addresses Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, and says that while Bret may announced his retirement, he is out of his mind. He says that Bret should also be out of the country, as he will come looking for him. When he had the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he was hunted, but he is now the hunter and he will find Bret. He then addresses Lex Luger, and says he has stuck his nose in his business for the last time, and he will knock his face off the next time he sees him. As for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he does not care who has it because he will get it, even if it is Diamond Dallas Page (whom he congratulates), and says he doesn't have to have the belt to be the champion.

Booker T retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Rick Steiner. During the match, referee Johnny Boone is briefly knocked down, and Stevie Ray shows up and whacks Rick Steiner from behind with the slap jack to give Booker T the win.

Scott Steiner shows up and says that finding a pretty woman in Yakima, Washington is like finding a needle in a haystack, but he refuses to let this town get the best of him as he will find himself a freak. He then says that he will be the only champion after tonight, as Diamond Dallas Page did not impress him by becoming World champion as he is not big, strong and smart enough to be a man like him because he is white trash. After the match, he will take DDP's wife Kimberly, making her feel the real deal and learn that size does matter, and he will take the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

Goldberg beats Kenny Kaos.

Sting beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair after "Macho Man" Randy Savage takes down "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson to keep him from giving Flair leverage during the Figure Four Leg Lock and Sting reverses a vertical suplex into the Scorpion Death Drop. After Sting gets the win once he makes a reluctant Charles Robinson make the count, Sting attacks Anderson when he comes after him and puts him in the Scorpion Death Lock.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper guests on commentary for the next match. When Diamond Dallas Page makes his way to the ring, he is accompanied by his wife Kimberly, who is seen for the first time since tumbling out of a car prior to SuperBrawl IX. Page helps her to a seat at ringside, then gets into the ring.

Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Scott Steiner. During the match, Scott Steiner pushes Diamond Dallas Page into referee Randy Anderson as DDP goes for a Diamond Cutter, then kicks DDP in the groin. He then goes to the commentary table, pulls a pair of bolt cutters out of the United States title and removes a cover from a top turnbuckle. He rams DDP into the exposed bolt, both head- and back-first, before putting DDP in the Steiner Recliner. Anderson is still down, however, and when DDP goes for a backslide pin, Scott Steiner kicks him in the groin again. Steiner then goes for the Steiner Recliner again, but DDP headbutts Scott Steiner in the groin again. Kimberly jumps the guardrail and hits Scott Steiner in the head with a steel chair, and DDP hits the Diamond Cutter to win the match.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for April 12, 1999

RAW

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon and Stephanie McMahon are with some police officers backstage. Vince says they should be all right as they have some of Detroit, Michigan's finest, and asks her to settle down and enjoy the show.

The show starts with WWF co-owner Shane McMahon and The Corporation making their way to the ring. Shane introduces us to Rodney and Pete Gas of The Mean Street Posse, then "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock takes the microphone. He tells Shane that when Vince brought him into The Corporation, he said that it was going to be like a family and that everyone looked after each other. He wants to know where Shane and The Corporation when his sister Ryan Shamrock was abducted by The Ministry of Darkness, who proceeded to put him in the trunk of a vehicle. Shane promises that he will get his explanation tonight, and tells him that they are in the same boat and that it all revolves around The Undertaker. He tells his sister Stephanie McMahon that he knows that she is in the back, and asks her to come to the ring. She does, much to the reluctance of her father Vince, who asks the police to follow them to the ring. They all eventually show up, and Shane tells Stephanie that she is safe. Vince says he does not know what this is about, but it had better be good and not some sort of publicity stunt. Shane tells Vince his priorities are out of whack, and that he is focusing his whole world around Stephanie, then focuses on Jim Ross, saying that he can barely speak and that the only reason he cannot fire him is because Michael Cole "sucks just as bad." Shane says someone is about to get fired, and that "it's been 30 years in the making." He says there is no room for "The New Corporation" for the geriatric, and that Vince can take loyalty and flush it down the toilet. He fires Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, and tells them to leave or else The Corporation will make them leave. Vince thinks Shane is on some sort of power trip, but Shane asks Vince where his power and the Vince we all know is, since that Vince taught him a "win at all costs" attitude. Vince says he is the same man, and then some, and he has his priorities straight. His priorities right now is Stephanie's welfare, and he is taking her home right now. Shane says he's not done yet and grabs Vince by the hand, but Vince turns around and tells Shane that if he wants true power, he has to earn it with respect. Shane says "Respect this!" and slaps Vince. Shane and Vince stare down, and Stephanie pleads with them to stop this. Vince and Stephanie walk away, and Shane tells Vince to tuck his tail between his legs and go home, then says "you're not my father anymore" and that "You're not even Mr. McMahon anymore," and that he does not have his respect and will simply be known from now on as Vince. An irritated Ken Shamrock tells Shane to stick it and leaves.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, Stephanie McMahon and the police escort head towards a limousine. Vince McMahon thanks Shamrock for his loyalty, and Shamrock leaves. Patterson, Brisco, Vince and Stephanie get in the limo.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon is seen talking to The Corporation after The Rock tells Shane he is stepping outside and getting a breath of fresh air.

A Four Corners match between Sable, Tori, Ivory and Jacqueline ends before it can begin when Nicole Bass decimates Sable's competition.

As Sable and Nicole Bass leave, the lights go out. The Undertaker shows up on the TitanTron tells WWF co-owner Vince McMahon he can run and hide, but it is only a matter of time before Stephanie McMahon is his, as it is her destiny. Tonight, in Stephanie's absence, another innocent victim will be sacrificed before the Lord of Darkness, and Vince is to blame.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen heading to the ring.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. He asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they are ready for Backlash. He tells The Rock to get plenty of breaths of fresh air, because if he thought WrestleMania 15 was something, he's got another thing coming as he is leaving that night with his custom-made WWF Championship belt. As far as WWF co-owner Shane McMahon being special guest referee goes, Shane can come out to the middle of the ring and run down WWF co-owner Vince McMahon like the jackass he is and slap him, but he had better not treat him like he did Vince or else he will beat his ass like the sorry son-of-a-bitch that he is. With Backlash being two weeks ago, he will go into the match and leave with the WWF Championship, but he feels two weeks is too long. He calls out The Rock and tells him to bring his custom-made WWF Championship back to him, or he will drag him into the ring and wipe the arena with him. We then see The Rock on the TitanTron. He is outside of the arena with the custom-made belt, and he is in front of a bridge. The Rock says he won't toss it over into the water like Austin did a year-and-a-half ago with the Intercontinental Championship, and dares Austin to find him and take the title himself. If Austin is such a big game hunter, he will hunt for the greatest super-species on God's green earth, the Brahma Bull himself, and he will give him no hints as where to exactly find him. Austin calls him "the super feces," and tells The Rock to watch his balance because's not sure if feces float. He says that the custom-made WWF Championship belt is coming back with him, because he said so.

Mankind is seen heading to the boiler room.

Michael Cole says he will interview Mankind after the next match.

Before the next match, The Undertaker tells Edge and Gangrel to leave now, as Christian must prove his worth to him and The Ministry of Darkness. He tells them to leave now, or else they will also pay penance.

"The Big Show" Paul Wight beats Christian.

Michael Cole interviews Mankind in the boiler room. Mankind says "The Big Show" Paul Wight may be everybody's big buddy, but he has a problem with The Big Show. In thirteen days, he will invite him into the boiler room and they will settle their difference. When it is done, The Big Show will be leaving on a big stretcher.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon asks Rodney and Pete Gas to head to the boiler room and take out Mankind.

The Rock is seen waiting on the bridge for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, while Rodney and Pete Gas are seen running towards the boiler room.

Before the next match, Val Venis says he may not be Grant Hill, but on "The Big Valbowski's" court, the ladies have never seen a piston pump like this.

"Bad Ass" Billy Gunn beats Val Venis by disqualification after Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett attack Billy Gunn outside of the ring. "Road Dogg" Jesse James shows up and fights Owen and Jarrett along with Venis, and Gunn is able to recover and fight along Road Dogg and Venis. Venis then confronts Debra in the ring and starts gyrating his hips, but Owen and Jarrett get her out of there.

Rodney and Pete Gas are in front of the doors to the boiler room. They go in looking for Mankind.

Mankind is seen attacking Rodney and Pete Gas in the boiler room and tossing them out. Mankind then hears the sound of someone whimpering.

WAR ZONE

Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett vs. The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) ends with The Ministry of Darkness rushing in and attacking Owen and Jarrett. The Undertaker and Paul Bearer show up, and Debra is chosen as the next sacrifice. The Undertaker tells Debra that she has to understand this is not his fault and that WWF co-owner Vince McMahon left him no other choice after leaving with Stephanie McMahon. He says that Stephanie was to be his prize, and now Debra will have to do. The Undertaker asks Vince how many of the innocent will have to suffer and how many souls he will have to take before Stephanie is his. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock rushes in with a wooden baseball bat. The Ministry runs out of the ring, and The Undertaker tells Shamrock that if he hits him, he will never see Ryan Shamrock again. The Undertaker tells Shamrock that Ryan is in the boiler room, and that according to Mideo, she is enjoying everything that is happening to her. The Ministry then gets back in the ring, and Shamrock snaps, attacking any Ministry members that get in with the bat. Shamrock runs to the back, and The Undertaker tells him to be very careful.

The Rock is still waiting at a bridge outside of the arena.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock is seen running to the boiler room.

Before the next match, The Godfather says that he wrestled Goldust last week and nothing was settled, and has a deal for The Big Boss Man. If The Big Boss Man backs out of the match and lets him wrestle Goldust for the WWF Intercontinental Championship, he has the choice of any of his fine hos. If he doesn't, there are a few hockey players from the Detroit Red Wings in the front row who will gladly take them. He also says the hos know what to do with his nightstick. Boss Man tells Godfather he wants all five of them. Godfather says he wants Goldust so badly that The Big Boss Man can have all five of them for the night. The Big Boss Man leaves with all five hos. Goldust then attacks The Godfather, and the match starts.

The Godfather beats Goldust to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship! After the match, the hos return and celebrate with The Godfather.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock finds Ryan Shamrock in the boiler room, thanks to Mankind. Suddenly, the sound of something hitting the floor is heard.

The Ministry of Darkness is seen ganging up on "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock. Mankind tries to help fight them off, but he does not fare very well. The Undertaker tells Shamrock he will know suffering like never before, and Paul Bearer puts Shamorck out with a handkerchief doused in ether. The Ministry fo Darkness then kidnap Ken again, and The Undertaker grabs Ryan Shamrock by the hair, tells her this is all her fault and that she is responsible for what happens to her brother now.

Al Snow guests on commentary for the next match, where it is announced that the winner will defend the WWF Hardcore Championship against Snow at Backlash. Not long after this, Hardcore Holly has a brief confrontation with two hockey players from the Detroit Red Wings after trying to use a hockey stick as a weapon.

Hardcore Holly retains the WWF Hardcore Championship against D'Lo Brown. At one point, Al Snow hands Hardcore Holly a glass of Kool-Aid that Holly smashes into D'Lo's head, but it does not win him him the match. Holly prepares a table, but D'Lo hits Holly with a powerbomb and places Holly on top of the table. He is about to go for the splash off the top rope when Snow pulls D'Lo off the top. D'Lo grabs a steel chair and hits both Snow and Holly with it before going for a top rope splash through the table again. Snow pulls Holly off the table as D'Lo is in mid-air, and D'Lo goes through the table. Holly then pins D'Lo to retain the Hardcore title.

Backstage, The Undertaker tells an unconscious Ken Shamrock that people say he has lost touch with reality, but he is what he is. He says the reality is that tonight, he will become one with the Ministry of Darkness, but before that can happen , he must suffer and feel unimaginable pain. He tells Shamrock to rest peacefully, as it will be a long night.

The Rock is still waiting for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin on the bridge outside of the arena. As he waits, he finds a fishing pole, and says he'll use Austin as bait to catch a mutated fish.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock is tied to an Undertaker symbol in preparation for tonight's sacrifice. The Undertaker grabs Christian by the throat with both hands, and tells Gangrel to put Christian on the symbol on the other side of the stage. As The Ministry is preoccupied, Ken Shamrock has come to and frees himself, having never been fully tied to the symbol. Gangrel and Edge fight The Ministry of Darkness, and Mankind shows up to help The Brood (Gangrel, Edge, Christian) and Shamrock. The Undertaker escapes through an elevator in the stage that is usually used by The Brood.

Kane and X-Pac retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Test after Triple H leaves Test high and dry. After the match, X-Pac goes after Triple H and Chyna, and Kane follows him.

The Rock gets a page saying "316," as he fishes on the bridge, which implies that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is near. The Rock says he is not going anywhere.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock shows up. He says he has been running around all night long getting a piece of The Undertaker, but The Undertaker keeps slipping out the back door. He tells "Mark" he's standing in the ring tonight, and he knows that he can hear him. He calls The Undertaker out so they can go at it and end it right here, right now so he can bring him back down to reality. The lights go out, and whey they come back on, The Undertaker is suddenly in the ring. Both men brawl, and as Shamrock has The Undertaker where he wants him, Mideon, Viscera and The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) rush in and outnumber him. "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley and The Big Boss Man run in and get Shamrock out of the ring only to attack him themselves as WWF co-owner Shane McMahon watches.

The Rock is on the bridge when he hears a truck nearing the bridge. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin gets out, and both The Rock and Austin brawl. The Rock then throws Austin over the barricade and knocks him in the river, telling him to go to Hell. He then tosses Austin's custom-made WWF Championship belt into the river, telling Austin to take it to Hell with him.
