Spring Stampede 1999 - The Results

Juventud Guerrera beats Blitzkrieg with a Juvi Driver from the top turnbuckle.





Bam Bam Bigelow beats Hak in a hardcore match with a Greetings From Asbury Park off the top rope into a table after Chastity gets sprayed with a fire extinguisher by Bigelow.

Scotty Riggs beats Mikey Whipwreck. (The crowd chants "boring" during this match.)

Konnan makes fun of Disco Inferno's disco hat and jacket as well as his camouflage pants, and calls him "a scrub" and "a strawberry." Disco attacks him, starting the match.

Konnan beats Disco Inferno with the Chart Buster.

Rey Mysterio Jr. retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Kidman.

The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko) beat Raven and Perry Saturn. During the match, Saturn tries to put Benoit through a table with a splash, but "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson pulls Benoit off before Saturn can land on the table. Raven hits Malenko with the Evenflow DDT, but Anderson gets in the ring and positions a steel chair in the ring on top of Raven's head as referee Charles Robinson is dealing with him. Benoit hits the top rope headbutt on the steel chair on top of Raven's head, and Malenko pins Raven for the win.

Scott Steiner is seen terrorizing ring announcer David Penzer and antagonizing the fans in the front row before the next match.

Scott Steiner beats Booker T to win the vacant WCW United States Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Scott Steiner uses referee Johnny Boone as a human shield, and Boone gets knocked down. Booker T revives Boone, but Scott Steiner knocks him back down from behind as he hits Booker T. Steiner stops the top rope missile drop kick and hits the top rope Frankensteiner, then drags Johnny Boone to Booker T and uses his hand to count his pin, but only gets two before Booker T kicks out. Scott Steiner then pulls out a foreign object as referee Randy Anderson tends to Johnny Boone, and Steiner hits Booker in the throat with the foreign object as Booker T gets him up for a vertical suplex. Steiner then drags Boone back to Booker T to win the United States title.

Goldberg beats Kevin Nash. During the match, Nash jumps over the Spear and Goldberg accidentally Spears the referee. Lex Luger gets on the apron and hits Goldberg in the back with a steel chair. Nash readies the Jackknife Power Bomb, but Goldberg hits Nash with a low blow. Lex Luger tries to get a piece of Goldberg, but Goldberg ends up getting a piece of him and then hits Nash with the Spear. Nash hits the Jackhammer and avenges his loss at last year's Starrcade.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up for the next match for his special guest referee role. The woman in the pink dress who accompanies him is identified as "Gorgeous George."

Diamond Dallas Page beats Hollywood Hogan, Sting and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion! During the match, Hulk Hogan has to be helped to the back by medical after a Figure Four Leg Lock by Flair and another one on the ring post by DDP, and is joined by Eric Bischoff. Later on, Flair has Sting in the Figure Four Leg Lock, and Sting grabs the rope to break the hold. Flair does not let go, and Savage takes matters into his own hands by dragging Flair - who still has Sting in the hold - to the middle of the ring and hitting him with an elbow drop from the top rope. DDP then hits Flair with a Diamond Cutter to win the title.
