Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 29, 1999

In memory of Hiro Matsuda, 1937 - 1999.

Goldberg shows up. He knows that The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) are in the back hearing what he has to say, and asks if he is the kind of guy to mess around with. He says he is not, but week after week, they show up and try to entertain the people with a little bit of comedy. He says that will not happen tonight. Last time they met, he got hit in the back with a steel chair and admits that he liked it. He is in the ring tonight to put a stop to their childish games, for when he steps into the ring, this is his world and he does not play around. He does not make threats, he is just the bearer of a little bit of reality as to what is going to happen. He then tells Scott Hall that if he gets involved in his match with Kevin Nash, he will show him what a little bit of heavy metal is all about. As for Kevin Nash, he's next. The Outsiders then show up, and Hall tells Goldberg he sounds upset and serious tonight, and they are here to bring that comedy he was referring to. He admits than wrapping a steel chair around Goldberg's head was one of the funniest things he has ever seen. Nash tells Goldberg The Outsiders have five words for him: don't sing it, bring it. Goldberg dares them to get in the ring, but as The Outsiders approach Goldberg, Sid Vicious shows up and says it will not be that simple as there is a new babyface in his town and his name is Sid Vicious. Sid and Goldberg fight The Outsiders side-by-side until security gets in the ring to break it up. Hall gets knocked out of the ring by Sid, while Nash gets out of the ring.

A mud ring is seen near the entrance ramp, and it is announced that a match involving The Nitro Girls is involved.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper is seen exiting a limousine as two women get out of a ring nearby. (One of the women is former WWF Women's Champion Bertha Faye; the other is Patty Stonegrinder aka Leilani Kai.)

Johnny The Bull and Big Vito are seen talking to Tony Marinara, saying they will take care of Disco Inferno and Lash LeRoux before the night is over.

Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Buff Bagwell and Booker T after a chair shot to Buff Bagwell during the pinfall as Curt Hennig distracts referee Billy Silverman. Creative Control continue to attack Buff and Booker after the match, but the light go off and come back on, signaling the arrival of Midnight, who hits Creative Control with some drop kicks.

Juventud Guerrera shows up in Vince Russo's office. Russo is complaining about having some "Japanese clown" on his show due to prior commitments, and that the person in question is none other than Jushin "Thunder" Liger, who has not been seen in WCW in quite some time. Vince Russo tells Juvi that if he can take the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship off his waist, he will take are of Juvi's visa problems. Vince also tells Juvi he has a plan.

The Total Package, dressed in an expensive suit, hands Miss Elizabeth a piece of paper for breach of contract and threatens to sue her for hanging around with Sting last week. Mike Tenay interviews Jeff Jarrett, who insists that he is the chosen one. As far as Dustin Rhodes is concerned, he could care less about him. He says he was hand-picked to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and tonight, he gets one step closer to doing that. Tenay responds with "I hope so, because you've fallen out of favor with the powers that be." Jarrett responds by blasting him in the head with a guitar.

Brian Knobbs shows up. He says that what makes him stick to his stomach is the fat that he lost to "a woman" at Mayhem for the WCW Hardcore Championship. He says it is far from over as he is a hardcore solder of war. He says "Screamin'" Norman Smiley is in the back, and if he has any guts, he will face him in the ring. Smiley is in the back, and he does not have his gear. Fit Finley shows up with a bag around his shoulder, and he scares Norman Smiley to the point that he screams and hides underneath the table. Finely pulls out from the bag two Kendo sticks, tosses one to Knobbs, tosses away the other one, and still manages to make quick work of Knobbs. He then pulls out a piar of scissors and cuts off the back of Knobbs' hair. He then whacks Knobbs in the back with a kendo stick again, then says to the camera "He wants to be a soldier? Now he looks like a soldier!"

Johnny The Bull and Big Vito run into "Mean" Gene Okerlund. Vito invites Okerlund to a night out on the town. Okerlund accepts the invitation.

Curt Hennig and Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) are in Vince Russo's office. Vince humiliates them for being attacked by Midnight, and Curt Hennig he would have cut through her, as nobody has ever embarrassed him like that. Vince Russo then makes a match between Curt Hennig and Midnight with Booker T barred from ringside.

Rob Moore from Mountain Grove, Missouri and Nancy Lastich of West Alice, Wisconsin are the final two Mayhem Match of the Week winners.

The two women from earlier tonight put on their make-up.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. is now the main interviewer for the show now that Mike Tenay is knocked out and "Mean" Gene Okerlund is spending a night out on the town with Big Vito and Johnny The Bull. He also tries to sell his Amway goods - a set of fine china for $39.99 - before interviewing Oklahoma and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams. Oklahoma says Jerry Only should understand that running his mouth got him in a steel cage, and that none of his buddies can help him. Williams says it will be a slobberknocker.

Symphony is delivered candies. A note is included that reads "Sweets for my sweet, tonight you will be the cherry on top of my cake. Forever yours, The Maestro."

The Outsiders then play basketball with the Television title and a garbage can, and Nash dunks the TV title in the trash.

Before the next match, Shane Douglas announces that "Operation: Roadkill" was a huge success, and The Filthy Animals (Konnan, Rey Mysterio Jr., Kidman, Eddie Guerrero, Torrie Wilson) are no more. Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr. are nursing themselves back to health in hospital beds thanks to The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Asya), while Kidman and Eddie Guerrero will be on a idfferent cable channel sorting out their differences on Love Connection. He says The Revolution worked them from the inside, as The Filthy Animals never knew what hit them, and they nearly set the world on fire. What pissed them off, however, is that they cheered for Bret "The Hit Man" Hart for winning American gold, then booed them. Malenko says he was in the ring with "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit last week, and when he won, the fans booed him despite being American-made and born. Love it or leave it, The Revolution will leave it and declare themselves a sovereign nation upon themselves and do away with America. Tonight, he will be called "The Python." Shane Douglas will be "THe Rattler," Asya "The Boa." Saturn says he will be known as "The Trouser," (which he calls "the most sought after snake in the world") then says that if the fans want a revolution, they've got it. Tonight, they will start making that sad song better. "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan then shows up and says he's got their snake right here, then stands up for America by stating he will shove his 2x4 where the sun doesn't shine. He then fights off The Revolution with his 2x4. Asya hits Duggan, but this causes Duggan to drop his 2x4 when the rest of The Revolution take advantage of the situation. They then hit him with his own 2x4, then Benoit shows up and saves Duggan as The Revolution do an "Iwo Jima" pose on top of him with their American flag.

Flynn says there are three rules for something new he has introduced called "The Block": two men enter and one man leaves, bare fists and feet only, and come ready to fight, as no man has truly lived until they have felt the real pain of "The Block." He says the opportunity is there for any mean to meet him in the ring.

Curt Hennig and Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) tell "Rowdy" Roddy Piper that Vince Russo is ready to see him now. Roddy, who is amazed that Curt Hennig is now on the same side as the powers that be, says he is proud to see the powers that be, but he has a stomach cramp and needs to take a "Vince Russo," and that he will see the powers that be whenever he damn well pleases.

Kevin Nash guests on commentary for the next match.

Scott Hall retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Sid Vicious. During the match, Hall inadvertently smacks referee Charles Robinson as Sid gets him up for a choke slam. When Sid goes for the powerbomb, Nash gets in the ring, but Sid sees it coming and dodges the elbow drop, which hits Hall. Sid then grabs Nash, but before he can powerbomb him, Jeff Jarrett runs in and whacks Sid in the head with his guitar. Jarrett then puts Hall on top of Sid, and wakes up referee Charles Robinson, who counts the pinfall. After the match, Goldberg runs in and hits Jarrett with a Spear and a Jackhammer.

Jerry Only beats "Dr. Death" Steve Williams in a Steel Cage Match. During the match, Oklahoma tries to get in the ring, but Vampiro and the rest of The Misfits catch him and pour his barbecue sauce all over him. This distracts Dr. Death briefly, but he does not get ouf the ring. He then tosses Jerry Only out of the ring, allowing him to get the ring, which wins Jerry Only the match.

Bret goes for the Sharpshooter on Meng, but Meng kicks Bret into referee Nick Patrick as Hall gets into the ring. Meng grabs Hall and proceeds to beat him up, putting him in the Tongan Death Grip. Chavo Guerrero Jr. sells make-up kits to the stars at clearance prices. Tygress says that if he has something that will help her finish teh job that she and Sky started with Spice last week, she will take ten of them, and asks him if he has ever seen Tygress without make-up before saying it is a scary sight. Goldberg takes Scott Hall by surprise and beats him up before the next match. We see Sid Vicious' locker room, and Sid is locked in. Kevin Nash is now backstage and attacking Goldberg along with Hall, and Sid kicks his dressing room door down to help Goldberg out. This leads to a tag team brawl, and the match eventually starts when Goldberg and Nash get in the ring. Meanwhile, Hall and Sid continue to brawl at ringside, but it is not long before Hall gets in the ring with a steel chair and takes out referee Johnny Boone before hitting Goldberg in the back with it. D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) show up. Triple H tells WWF Chairman Vince McMahon that all the warning were laid out, but Vince crossed the line and made it personal. He says it is Vince's fault that everything has escalated to what it all has become, and because of that, DX has a temporary order of protection against Vince which keeps him from coming within 50 feet of DX, which is all right with him as Vince cannot throw a rock or even see 50 feet. We see the footage of Vince running into DX's limousine with a Cadillac, and Triple H says they could have been seriously hurt but they were not, and Vince will be hurt at Armageddon when he beats him within an inch of his life without remorse. At Armageddon, Triple H says there will no retribution on him, and he will do what he wants to Vince and that is it. As for the wedding between Test and WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon, he has bad news: there will be no wedding here tonight. WWF Chairman Vince McMahon shows up, and says that if Triple H thinks he needs protection from him, he is right, as there is nothing he will not do to protect his family. As for D-Generation X, their temporary order of protection won't do Triple H any good at Armageddon, and he will have some of Triple H's blood on his hands. He says that after Armageddon, it will be "game over." He then decides to keep DX busy by giving Test a wedding present in the form of Triple H vs. Test in a one-on-one match and X-Pac, Road Dogg and Billy Gunn in a six-man tag team match against Mankind, The Rock and a partner of their choosing. Also, if DX or anybody interferes in the wedding and they are employed by the WWF, they will be fired tonight.

Al Snow tells Head he will be Mankind's tag team partner and will be the best one ever, whether The Rock likes it or not.

Edge beats Matt Hardy.

We see footage from WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon's bachelorette party in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Chyna shows up. He says Chris Jericho would not believe how much her thumb felt after she whacked him with the hammer, and the only reason why she did not press charges on him is because she wants to make Jericho suffer and cry in front of her like a whiny baby. She then dares Jericho to get in the ring with her right now, as she can probably beat him with one hand, anyway. Jericho shows up and says that if Chyna wants to challenge him, he would like to beat her "flabby Jell-o ass," but says he can't due to Chyna hitting him with the hammer and giving him a concussion. Jericho then says after some intense physical therapy - and much embellishment - he will face her at Armageddon for the WWF Intercontinental Championship. Chyna tells Jericho to chill out, but Jericho tells her to chill out. Miss Kitty shows up with a fire extinguisher, and Chyna says that if Jericho won't chill out, then maybe Miss Kitty can help. Miss Kitty sprays Jericho with the fire extinguisher.

Before the next match, Hardcore Holly tells Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) that they are not super heavyweights and that he and Crash Holly are the only super heavyweights around here. As for Rikishi Fatu, Hardcore says he has enough of an ass to make a total eclipse of the sun and that he will be Santa Claus after enough seconds and thirds at the dinner table. After Hardcore makes fun of the appearance of his ass (saying it has more dimples than a gold ball), Rikishi punches Crash before punching Hardcore and rolling him into the ring.

Too Cool (Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty 2 Hotty) beat The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly). After the match, Hardcore Holly fights Too Cool, but Rikishi gets involved and makes quick work of him before hitting him with the Banzai Drop.

We see even more footage from WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon's bachelorette party in Las Vegas, Nevada, which sees the introduction of "Carlos the Electrician," who is not an electrician but a male dancer. Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah carry him off.

Test and Triple H are seen getting ready for their match backstage.

WAR ZONE

A man in a Vince McMahon mask is the special guest referee for the next match.

Test beats Triple H. Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco are seen watching the match from backstage, asking WWF Chairman Vince McMahon to come see the referee in the Vince McMahon mask. At one point in the match, the masked referee smacks Test in the face to snap him out of a choke hold. He also stops Triple H from using a steel chair, then refuses to count a pinfall attempt by Triple H shortly afterwards. This leads Triple H to punch the ref and try to rip the mask off, but WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up, grabs the chair and hits Triple H in the back of the head with a steel chair. Test then hits the top rope elbow drop for the win after a fast count.

At WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon's bachelorette party, Mae Young and The Fabulous Moolah return, and everyone wonders where "Carlos The Electriciain" is. Stephanie is then offered one more drink, and she downs it.

Triple H is in the locker room with police officers, telling them to get WWF Chairman Vince McMahon and have him arrested for violating a temporary order of protection, as he believes that the man in the Vince McMahon mask is in fact Vince McMahon.

Michael Cole interviews Barbara Bush, the EMT from SmackDown whose shirt was ripped off by Ivory after the Gravy Bowl Match. Barbara - whose friends call her "B.B." - calls the experience humiliating, and she is challenging Ivory to an Evening Gown Match. Suddenly, Ivory shows up, and tells her she is a pretty girl but is not too bright, and says "B.B." is short for "blonde bimbo," "big boobs," and "bird brain." She thinks B.B. is trying to make friends with all the perverts in the audience, and the crowd cheers when Ivory asks the crowd if they want to see her naked. Ivory then proposes having the match right now, then takes off her coat and proceeds to have a catfight with B.B. Once again, B.B.'s bust is exposed as another referee has to get Ivory out of the ring.

WWF Chairman Vince McMahon talks to the police officers, saying that Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco have alibis that put him in the bathroom at the time of the offense.

We see the bridesmaids - and WWF co-owner Linda McMahon - getting ready for the wedding.

Before the next match, Val Venis says "The Big Valbowski" and Shaquille O'Neal have a lot in common: they both carry intimidating size, but while Shaq may be a little shaky from the outside, "The Big Valbowski's" "bald-headed slam dunker" scores every single time. Kurt Angle then shows up and says Los Angeles, California lacks integrity and moral values, and he finds it amazing that the fans would rather cheer for a porn star over him. Venis then beats him up, starting the next match.

Kurt Angle beats Val Venis. During the match, The British Bulldog shows up and trips Val Venis on the top rope as Kurt Angle has referee Teddy Long pre-occupied, and this allows Angle to hit a superplex for a near-fall. Val Venis then fights The British Bulldog at ringside, and Angle hits Venis from behind before rolling him back into the ring. The Bulldog then grabs a steel chair, and as Teddy Long gets Angle away from Venis, Bulldog smacks the chair into Venis' back.

The men of the wedding - including The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy), D'Lo Brown, and Edge - are seen getting ready.

Al Snow mentions how much he hates The Rock, and he does it in front of The Rock unintentionally. The Rock catches Al Snow out, then asks Al Snow to put a dirty jack and a hockey mask on his face, then take a hockey stick and stick it straight up his candy ass. It becomes obvious that Al Snow is not his and Mankind's tag team partner.

Armageddon is coming live to pay-per-view on December 12th!

Before the next match, Kane suddenly shows up. When Mankind shows up, it is made apparent that Kane is Mankind and The Rock's partner.

D-Generation X (X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beats Mankind, The Rock and Kane by disqualification. During the match, Al Snow is seen backstage telling Head that Mankind needs him, and takes Head with to the ring. He attacks DX with Head, which gets The Rock disqualified. The Rock does not take kindly to that and hits Al Snow with a Rock Bottom and The People's Elbow after the match.

The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) are still playing poker with The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw). Though they can barely get along, they laugh at the fact that The Acolytes ran Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) out of the WWF.

The bridesmaids are seen getting ready just before the event. They also get a peek at WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon's bridal gown, but we do not.

The best men are seen talking in the locker room.

Buh Buh Ray goes all in and has six aces. When he takes the whole pot back, The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) and The Dudley Boyz (Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley) brawl. Referees and officials run into the ring to restore order.

He leaves.

Chris Candido, Rhino and Tammy Lynn Sytch show up. Rhino can't wait for tonight's six-man tag team match as he will beat up everybody, and he tells Candido that he promised him a warm-up match and that if doesn't give him that match, he will warm up all over his punk ass. Candido puts Tammy in front of him, and Tammy asks Rhino to give them ten minutes and they will give him a bunch of guys to beat up. She also says that she saw an electrical closet, then whispers into his ear. Rhino says they have ten minutes.

In New York City, New Jack says he is in the city and he is waiting for Da Baldies (Angel, Tony DeVito, P.N. News) so he can make example out of them. He says Angel's ass is his, and he will make him his personal bitch like the last man he had in jail as he turns him from Angel to "some little faggot named LaShaun," as he will be his ho before the night is over. He says he will not leave the city until he finds his punk ass.

Rob Van Dam retains the ECW World Television Championship against C.W. Anderson.

In New York City, New Jack still hasn't found Da Baldies (Angel, Tony DeVito, P.N. News) yet, and says they don't want any of him. He does not care what he has to do to find them, but he will find them.

Rob Van Dam and Sabu have a brawl that turns into an impromptu match with the ECW World Television Championship still on the line.

Rob Van Dam retains the ECW World Television Championship against Sabu after Bill Alfonso throws in the towel. During the match, Chris Candido and Rhino run in and RVD and Sabu. Sabu's leg is injured due to the chair that has been wrapped around his leg and the subsequent attack from RVD, and after a somersault plancha from RVD onto Candido and Rhino, Sabu is hobbling as he goes for his trademark springboard dive. Referees and trainers check on Sabu, and RVD still wants to fight him. Jim Ross interviews The Big Show in the ring to start the show. Big Show says being WWF Champion is incredible, and he is on top of the world as he calls the WWF Championship the most coveted title in sports entertainment. Having the title means more to him than anything else in the world, and he just wishes his dad was around to see it. Suddenly, Chris Jericho shows up, and tells Big Show not to worry about having a father anymore, as tonight, he is his daddy. He asks if Big Show deserves to be a heavyweight champion due to his size, and says that charisma and showmanship - things Jericho says Big Show does not have - matter more than size, and that Big Show should be carrying his bags and begging for him not to kick his dimpled, cottage cheese ass. Tonight, he wants a no-disqualification match for the WWF Championship, as he wants the title around his waist. Big Show says he has no problems beating Jericho like the bitch that he is right now.

Big Show retains the WWF Championship against Chris Jericho in a no-disqualification match. During the match, The Big Boss Man shows up, and Big Show goes after Boss Man between the audience and the aisle. Chyna and Miss Kitty - the former with bandages around her hight hand - show up as referee Tim White is pre-occupied with Boss Man and Big Show, and when Jericho approaches Chyna, she hits him in the head twice with a hammer. Big Show then gets back in the ring, with Boss Man nowhere in sight, and choke slams Jericho to retain.

A Thanksgiving feast is prepared backstage.

WWF Chairman Vince McMahon's limousine pulls up, and we find out that the man in the suit is from the courts as he hands a temporary order of protection against McMahon, telling him that if he comes within fifty feet of D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), he will be arrested. Vince, Test and WWF co-owner Shane McMahon are livid as they make their way into the arena.

Before the next match, Kurt Angle says it is time to be thankful for the gifts that we receive throughout our livs. He says is thankful for the talent that he has been blessed with, but more importantly, he is thankful for the "3 I's" - Intensity, Integiry, and Intelligence - that have given him success since he was born. He says that Thanksgiving is a time is also a time for people to give to one another, and his gift to the fans is putting on another fantastic performance for all to enjoy. He hopes that the fans give back to him a gift that he would be very proud to have: their respect and support. He then wishes the fans a happy Thanksgiving. Michael Cole then mentions the WWF's letter-writing drive against the Parents' Television Council mentioned by Jim Ross on Raw. Letters can be addressed the following address: U.S. Navy Commander Howington, 5722 Integrity Drive Building 784, Millington, TN 38054. (The address is no longer active.)

The Thanksgiving feast continues to be prepared backstage, and a table with turkey on it is brought out to ringside.

Mankind talks to Al Snow, who feels betrayed due to Mankind and The Rock having a match together tonight. Mankind says The Rock is his friend, but when they show up together, they get a better response from the people. Al Snow resents The Rock for some reason.

D-Generation X (Triple H, X-Pac, "Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) lament the fact that they all have to wrestle on Thanksgiving, and says the only good thing about it is that WWF Chairman Vince McMahon cannot be within fifty feet of them. Triple H says they should lighten up and be more thankful, and he has an idea.

Before the next match, Val Venis says Thanksgiving just happens to be every guy's favorite holiday, because on Thanksgivign, they get to go out and look for that one beautiful bird, bring the bird home, spread its legs and stuff it, crank the heat up and get the bird get all hot and juicy. When it is time to serve up the good, all the wives and girlfriends get to suck the meat clean off their drumsticks.

Val Venis beats The British Bulldog by disqualification after Bulldog hits Venis with a low blow on the top rope in full view of referee Tim White. The British Bulldog retains the WWF European Championship.

As he breaks down Thanksgiving into "thanks" and giving, he sees a fan dressed as Mr. Socko. He gives out a special thanks to The Rock, because when he put his hand out and The Rock made the tag, he could feel the reaction and the energy from the crowd and says it was the greatest moment in sports entertainment. He then gives my sincere apologies for yelling at The Rock, as not only did The Rock not throw his book in the garbage, he read it and liked it. He hopes that the fans are still hungry, as he serving a helping of "The Rock 'n Sock Connection." The Rock then shows up. Since he is in the Thanksgiving spirit, he notices there is a table full of pies at ringside. He walks over to the pies, and noticed a pumpkin pie, a pecan pie, an apple pie, and a pie with the word "Poontang" on it, which The Rock calls "poontang pie." The Rock has a taste of the poontang pie and says that is "some of the best poontang pie The Rock has ever tasted." He then mentions that Michael Cole has never had a taste of poontang pie and lays it on the commentary table, tells him not to be afraid of the poontang, and tells him that when he is ready for poontang, poontang will be ready for him. Michael Cole then gets a piece of the poontang pie and likes it. The Rock then tells Cole to tell him and the fans his first experience with poontang pie was like, then tells him it doesn't matter what his first experience was like.

Mankind and The Rock beat The Hollys (Hardcore and Crash Holly) to become #1 contenders for the WWF Tag Team Championships. During the match, Al Snow is seen watching the match from a TV backstage, wondering what The Rock has as he tells Head he hates The Rock and calls Mankind "a suck-up."

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett says it is his time and that he is the chosen one, and tonight, he takes matters into his own hands.

He says he will be the best World Heavyweight Champion that WCW has ever had. He says the last year has had its ups and down, and he thanks all of the fans for backing him up, and he dedicates his title victory to his Stu Hart, who watched the match from home. He says that now that he is champ, he will do things the right way. A few weeks ago in Phoenix, Arizona, Goldberg was screwed in the first round. He says he has infinite respect for him and says he was screwed, and tells Goldberg that if he wants a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he will be honored to see him at Starrcade and settle things once and for all. Suddenly, The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) show up, and mocks Bret wanting to do things the right way, then says he and Nash don't care. Hall tells Bret that if he wants to get to the top, all he has to do is take a few lessons from the guys who took WCW "from the outhouse to the penthouse." He then says he and Nash do whatever they want whenever they want to whomever they want. Nash says that just because you get an iron-on that says you are the best does not make you the best, and if that was the case, he would be "Joe Boxer" tonight. Hall says that would make him "the Landing Strip." Nash then goes to say he and Hall run the show around here, and challenges Bret to tag team with Goldberg and take them on. Bret says if they want, they've got it. Suddenly, Jeff Jarrett comes out from the crowd and smashes his guitar into Bret's head, and says he is the chosen one and that the World title belongs to him whether he likes it or not.

Mike Tenay interviews Curt Hennig, who has one more thing to do before leaving WCW. He says he will not wrestle for WCW and he is a man of his word, and the powers that be will not stop him from seeing his fans. Suddenly, a man is seen playing a piano with a woman by his side.

The Total Package is talking with Vince Russo. He wants a match between Miss Elizabeth and Meng, having the power to book the match himself, as Vince Russo cannot make the match due to Elizabeth being under contract to Luger instead of WCW, Luger says he has it under control. He says that Miss Elizabeth is under contract for three years, and that she did not even read the contract before signing it. He says that Liz trusted him like Sting did, and says that Sting is pulling his bat out of his ass because of it. Russo lets Luger make the match. Meanwhile, Liz has seen the whole thing go down on a monitor backstage.

Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) beat The Filthy Animals (Konnan and Kidman) to become the WCW WOrld Tag Team Champions! During the match, black-and-white Kid Cam footage of Torrie Wilson and Eddie Guerro is seen on the video screen, and Kidman runs to the back. After the match, Kidman finds Eddie Guerrero and beats the crap out of him, and WCW security have to stop the fight.

Mike Tenay interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, and Goldberg is also nearby. Bret says he knew it would get tough as soon as he become the world champion, and that it would get busy for him, but he expected that. He and Goldberg will take on The Outsiders first, then he will give Jarrett his first match with the world champion and he will be excellently executed. Goldberg proposes that Bret take care of Jarrett while he takes on The Outsiders himself. Mike Tenay asks if this will be a 2-on-1 handicap match, to which Goldberg replies "Not necessarily."

Sky urges Spice not to go forward with the match tonight, but Spice says there is nothing else she can do.

Suddenly, Fit Finley who has not been seen in months - gets in the ring and almost immediately beats up Norman.

Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan advertise the "Nitro For Me" fragrance at the commentary table.

Mike Tenay interviews The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall). Hall says he and Nash have something in store for him in the form of a rito squad, but Nash tells him that all their previous plans did not work. Nash then says he and Hall are getting the band back together, whether Goldberg realizes it or not.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. tries to sell 24-karat Italian gold to Johnny The Bull and Big Vito. As this goes on, piano music is playing again and Disco Inferno is seen in the background, immediately recognizing Johnny and Big Vito, and heading into the locker room in disguise.

Mike Tenay interviews Jeff Jarrett, who says what happened at Mayhem was detour on the way to the gold. He is the chosen one, and the World title will soon be around his waist. He was chosen by the powers that be to win the World title tournament, and whatever Bret "The Hit Man" Hart does, the World title will be around his waist.

Vampiro and The Misfits are seen entering the building, while Oklahoma and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams are seen backstage again.

Mike Tenay interviews Eddie Guerrero as piano music plays again. Eddie says he is not proud of what happened here tonight, but what's done is done. Unfortunately, things turn out to be what they aren't. He says Kidman surprises him and cannot listen to what he has to say to him, and since he cannot listen, he will have to show him in the ring.

Oklahoma and "Dr. Death" Steve Williams guest on commentary for the next match.

In the final Mayhem Match of the Week, Vampiro beats The Wall by disqualification when Berlyn hits Vampiro with a chair. During the match, The Misfits try to get their hands on The Wall but cannot. In the parking lot, a limousine pulls up.

Creative Control see this and chase Dustin to the back, and Bret gets back in the ring and pins Jarrett.

Miss Elizabeth, still in the shark cage, talks to The Total Package, wanting to know what he was thinking and admitting the match was a mistake. He asks for the keys so he can unlock the cage and get the match cancelled, then tells her that she will be wrestling Meng no matter what and walks off, telling her that if she doesn't get out of the cage, they will bring the cage into the ring.

We see the limousine outside of the parking lot.

Miss Elizabeth gets Sting's attention, and tells him what is going on between her and The Total Package. Sting tells her she's made her own cage, and now she's going to have to sleep in it.

Eddie Guerrero beats Kidman. During the match, it is announced that Arn Anderson has been fired from WCW by the powers that be following his actions from last night, and that the powers that be not only did not know that he was an agent, but that he even worked in WCW in the first place. Later on in the match, The Revolution (Shane Douglas, Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn) attack Konnan and smash his arm between the steel steps and the ring post. Torrie tries to tell Kidman what is going on, but Eddie is not interested and is more concerned about getting the win.

Mike Tenay interviews Spice. Spice cannot believe it has come to this, and says that Tygress has decided to hold her responsible for everything that has happened in the last few weeks. She is sad that The Nitro Girls have been reduced to this, and if a wrestling match has to decide everything, so be it. Sky shows up and asks her not to go through with this match, but Spice says that if a wrestling match is what it will take to settle everything, she will get in the ring.

Meng vs. Miss Elizabeth ends in a no-contest. At the beginning of the match, the cage - with Miss Elizabeth still inside - is brought into the ring by a forklift. During the match, Meng tries to bend the bars of the cage. The Total Package offers Meng the keys, but Meng puts The Total Package in the Tongan Death Grip before bending the bars again and grabbing at Miss Elizabeth. Shortly after the match begins, Tony Marinari shows up with Johnny The Bull and Big Vito, who toss Lash LeRoux and referee Johnny Boone out of the ring after the match before having their way with Disco Inferno. Lash LeRoux heads back into the ring with a chair as Big Vito wraps a chain around his hand. He nails both Johnny and Vito with it, then Tony Marinari jumps on top of Disco to put him in a sleeper. LeRoux puts Tony in a sleeper of his own, then he and Disco put Tony in the body bag before running from Johnny and Big Vito.

Mike Tenay interviews Meng as piano music plays again. He says he is not a fool, and that Sting stuck his nose where it did not belong. He says Sting hit him with the bat across the head, and now he wants to challenge him to a no-disqualification match. Sting can use his bat, and he can use his hands.

Curt Hennig shows up. He shakes hands with Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, and hugs the latter, then gets in the ring. Curt Hennig cannot even get the words out, and he leaves the ring.

The limousine door opens up...

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan cleans Vince Russo's toilet...with Vince Russo's toothbrush and not the one Vince gave him.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper makes a surprise appearance for the first time in months. He jokes about the powers that be, saying they write sex and "T&A" into the scripts because they don't get any. Suddenly, his microphone dies, and he finds out from Tony Schiavone that the producers were told to kill his microphone by the powers that be. Piper heads back to the back, and grabs a producer who tells him where the powers that be are. He kicks the door open and is confronted by Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald). Vince Russo tells Creative Control to stand down and let him go, and Piper is amazed by Vince Russo as being the powers that be, and accuses Vince Russo of ruining the sport that he has been in for the last 30 years, ever since he was fifteen years old. He calls Russo "a figment of his own imagination," and says he is ruining people's lives and making them squirm like worms. The only reason that Russo cannot take him down is because he has money, and threatens to beat him with a baseball bat if he ever cuts his microphone again. Russo tells Piper he is the one who needs a reality check, as he is down to one hip and is nearing 50. In his world, Piper is done, and he needs to join Flair and Hogan in the retirement home in Boca Raton. Piper says he has a two-year contract with Time Warner that Russo has to fulfill. Russo responds by making Piper a referee, and tells him that if he refuses to do the job or breaches his contract, he will sue him for everything he is worth. Piper reneges and says "Yes, sir," and continues to repeat that statement after he leaves the office.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper heads towards the limousine, repeatedly saying "Yes, sir." He gets in, and the limousine drives off.

Buff Bagwell vs. Booker T ends in a no-contest. During the match, Creative Control (Patrick and Gerald) show up and attack both men, then Curt Hennig shows up only only to put Bagwell in the Hennigplex, turning heel and revealing he has sold out to the powers that be. Miss Elizabeth shows up and says thanks to Sting, saying that she had no idea whow cruel The Total Package could be, and offers to be his manager or to help him in any way.
