Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 30, 1998

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls. It is announced that Hollywood Hogan has told the world on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday that he is retiring from professional wrestling to run for President of the United States. It is also announced that Mike Tenay is out today due to being under the weather (revealed in the third hour to be a case of laryngitis) and will hopefully be back next week.

nWo Hollywood walk out of a pair of white limousines on their way to the arena. They eventually make their way to the ring. Eric Bischoff declares Scott Steiner to be "the heir apparent" to nWo Hollywood. Scott tells everyone in the building to put their heads down in a moment of silence for the greatest champion that ever lived: Hollywood Hogan. If the people do not think that Hogan is not watching the show right now, they are highly mistaken. Scott Steiner says he has flown in from Los Angeles, and that Hogan has made him the new leader of the black-and-white nWo. He says that Hogan was the originator of the "24-inch pythons" and the largest arms in the world, and both was and is the biggest name in professional wrestling today. He says it is no question why he is the new leader, as he now has the largest arms (and the biggest peak) in the world in addition to the greatest body in professional sports. Behind him is a band of thieves who do not care about anyone or anything, and they will all be rapid dogs who take care of business the same way that the nWo has always done it. After talking with Hogan this morning, nWo Hollywood's first order of business is take care of someone who left the nWo not too long ago: Scott Hall. Scott Steiner tells Scott Hall he is their first order of business, and tonight, they will make him pay and make him wish he was never in the nWo. He also tells Hall he has Horace Hogan as his partner, and tells Hall to find a partner, because tonight, the black-and-white is going to bury him.

Konnan beats Chris Jericho to become the WCW World Television Champion! During the match, Jericho swings the title belt at Konnan's head when he finds out he has not won the match, and Konnan ducks the swing before hitting Jericho with a facebuster into the front plate of the belt. Konnan's music video is replayed as Lex Luger and Kevin Nash celebrate with Konnan.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair says there is a time in his life that has come where he has to walk down the aisle and focus, because he wants Eric Bischoff to hear him. He knows he is old, but getting old is one thing and getting great is another. Wahoo McDaniel, Johnny Valentine, Ricky Steambot, Sting, and a host of wrestling superstars made Bischoff what he is, past, present and future. He says there are a lot of wrestlers, some dead, some alive. He is disappointed with Barry Windham, and says Bischoff is a gutless, classless asshole. If Bischoff wants to fire him, he can fire him, but he wants it to be known that he called him out tonight and that everyone will look at him and say "that old man of diminished skills called you out." He says they will have it out once and for all, and tells Bischoff to "come jump on this old man."

Scott Hall shows up in blue jeans and an Outsiders T-shirt. He has heard what Scott Steiner and nWo Hollywood had to say about beating him up tonight, and tells nWo Hollywood that in case they haven't noticed, getting beat up is what he does. The only problem is that he doesn't have any friends, and he might as well fight them off one-by-one as he is doing everything by himself these days. If Scott Steiner and Horace Hogan are excited about carrying on "that family name" and want to take him on, they've got it. Suddenly, Kevin Nash shows up. He admits he and Hall have not seen eye-to-eye as of late, but if Hall needs a tag team partner, he'll be his huckleberry. Nash is confirmed to be Hall's tag team partner for later tonight.

Before the next match, Raven speaks into a microphone and talks about his mother again, but Kanyon takes the mike and says it's been the same song and dance for two years. He says Raven is being a manchild and tells Raven to get over his lousy childhood. Scott Armstrong and Steve Armstrong then get the first shot on Kanyon before Kanyon can say anything else. Raven continues to sit in the corner, then gets up when Kanyon confronts him again, then walks off, leaving Kanyon to wrestle the match alone.

Scott Armstrong and Steve Armstrong beat Kanyon and Raven after Scott Armstrong gets a schoolboy pin on a distracted Kanyon, who looks to the back entrance for Raven after hitting Steve with the Flatliner.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Hart says he's been hurt really bad, and that Diamond Dallas Page stooped so low that he has enticed other men to injure him, as Dean Malenko injured his groin. He says he wants to go at it, but the doctors tell him he cannot fight DDP tonight. DDP shows up through the crowd, and accuses Bret of ducking him. Bret says the doctors are not allowing him to wrestle tonight, but DDP thinks he is lying and says he will feel the bang. Hart says he doesn't have his ring gear, but then tells DDP that if he wants to put the title up against him, he'll face him under the condition that it is a no-disqualification match, and he will feel the pain from him. DDP accepts the stipulation.

Kidman retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Eddie Guerrero. During the match, Kidman accidentally knocks referee Charles Robinson out of the ring as he moves Eddie Guerrero to the top turnbuckle. Juventud Guerrera tries to interfere, but Kidman stops him, and Rey Mysterio Jr. hits Eddie Kidman with a springboard drop kick to the back, allowing Kidman to hit the Shooting Star Press. After the match, the Latino World Order shows up, and chase both Rey and Kidman to the back.

Bam Bam Bigelow is seen sitting in the crowd with two security guards standing right behind him.

Eric Bischoff shows up with Barry Windham. Bischoff talks about how he went to Cody, Wyoming to clear his head for the holidays, and how a good friend of his told him "Eric, what we need now is another hero." He says his friend is right, with crime rates escalating around the United States, taxes out of control and people not being able to put food on the table. Bischoff says he will give the people that hero tonight, and that it is time to bring him out right now: Dean Malenko. Malenko shows up with the rest of The Four Horsemen ("The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael). Anderson tells Malenko to smack Bischoff in the mouth when he gets the chance, then Malenko approaches and enters the ring. Bischoff says he is impressed and that Malenko has his respect, and that he will also have his opportunity for all the people who cheered for "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair tonight. He also plans to give Flair what he wants, and that Malenko will give Flair his opportunity. Bischoff puts Malenko in a match against Barry Windham, and if Malenko can beat him, he will give Flair the opportunity to wrestle Bischoff if Flair wants it. Malenko says a Horseman never backs down from a challenge, and tonight is no different. He then adds a clause to this agreement: a special guest referee in the form of "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, who has not been seen in some time and is still a member of nWo Hollywood. Dusty says justice will be swift and the call right down the middle, as he has always stood for right and wrong and will not let any shenanigans get in the way.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Wrath beats Bobby Blaze in a matter of seconds.

Before the next match, Ernest "The Cat" Miller says he came out to beat somebody up and threatens to fight someone in the crowd. He says that if there is anyone who wants a piece of him to come to the ring. When nobody shows up and The Cat calls everyone a bunch of chumps, Saturn shows up. Ernest Miller makes fun of the fact that he was pinned by Sonny Onoo, and decides to leave the ring and not tear him apart because he is "weak." Saturn calls him out on that, and calls that an excuse, telling him to say he is scared if he is scared. Miller gets back in the ring, calls his bluff, and tells him that if he beats Sonny Onoo, he will give him a match. Onoo is reluctant, but The Cat talks him into it. It does not take long for Saturn to lay out Sonny Onoo, but Miller yanks the referee out of the ring. Suddenly, Glacier hits Saturn with a Cryonic Kick and leaves. Onoo goes for the pin, but Saturn kicks out. Miller tosses a chain to Onoo, but when Onoo tries to punch him, he falls victim to a Death Valley Driver. Saturn beats Sonny Onoo, but the referee sees the chain in Saturn's tights - placed there by Onoo during the Death Valley Driver - and reverses the decision. Onoo beats Saturn by disqualification, and Saturn chases the referee out of the ring.

Another white limousine is seen pulling up to the arena.

Goldberg is seen coming out of the white limousine after the commercial break. He then makes his way to the ring with a police escort. A table and a few chairs are in the ring, and "Mean" Gene Okerlund is in the ring alongside Terry Taylor, a representative of the WCW Executive Committee, for a contract signing for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match between challenger Kevin Nash and champion Goldberg. Bam Bam Bigelow is seen in the crowd, saying that should be him signing the contract and not Kevin Nash, who shows up moments later with Konnan and Lex Luger. Kevin Nash and Goldberg sign the contract, which states that Goldberg will not defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship between now and Starrcade to ensure that Goldberg is World champ at the time of the match and that the World Heavyweight title will be defended on that night. Bam Bam Bigelow jumps the guardrail and tries to get in the ring, but local law enforcement and security quickly get in place to stop him from getting in the ring. He is carried back to the backstage area and ejected from the arena yet again.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

Booker T beats Mike Enos.

Bam Bam Bigelow is still outside of the arena leading a "Goldberg" chant on the grassy knoll near the arena, wanting a piece of Goldberg outside of the building.

Lex Luger beats Brian Adams with the Torture Rack. Before the match, it is announced that Mike Tenay is down with a case of laryngitis, which explains why he is not at the commentary table this week. It is also announced that referee Mark Curtis is currently battling cancer, which explains why he has not been refereeing matches for some time, and that he will hopefully get well and come back to WCW soon. During the match, Luger knocks Brian Adams into referee Mickey Jay with a forearm shot. Vincent tries to get involved, but his attacks have no effect. Adams grabs a steel chair and smashes it into Luger's back before he and Vincent hit Luger with a double-team spike piledriver on the steel chair. Adams revives the ref, but Luger is able to kick out. Vincent tries to hit Lex Luger with a steel chair after an Irish Whip, but Luger reverses it and Vincent almost blasts Adams with a steel chair shot to the head. Luger then pushes Adams forward, knocking him into Vincent and the steel chair, before locking in the Torture Rack for the win.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Dean Malenko beats Barry Windham by disqualification. After being impartial to Barry Windham, special guest referee Dusty Rhodes disqualifies Windham when he refuses to take Malenko out of the corner, betraying Barry Windham and Eric Bischoff in the process. Bischoff rushes out and demands to know what Dusty Rhodes is doing, but Dusty turns his back on him when he tells him to get in the ring. Bischoff then fires Dusty Rhodes, and as Barry Windham goes after Dusty, he runs into the rest of The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael), who give him quite a beating. Flair goes after Bischoff, but nWo Hollywood quickly get him to the back. Flair demands his match with Eric Bischoff - which he calls "the greatest Christmas present The Nature Boy or The Horsemen have ever had" - right now.

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) beat Scott Steiner and Horace Hogan. During the match, it is announced via the WCW legal counsel that WCW is forcing Eric Bischoff to wrestle "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair at Starrcade. During the match, Scott Hall hits Horace Hogan with the Outsider's Edge, but Scott Steiner's personal referee refuses to make the three-count and Kevin Nash hits him with a Jackknife Power Bomb. Referee Billy Silverman rushes in to make the three-count afterwards. Scott Hall is the only one in the ring to have his hand raised, as Kevin Nash has already left and headed to the back at that point.

Bam Bam Bigelow is still on the grass near the arena, demanding a piece of Goldberg.

Goldberg is seen running out of the arena and brawling with Bam Bam Bigelow outside. The brawl goes into the parking lot, and security and local law enforcement have to pull both men apart. Bigelow is led away by security, but Goldberg manages to get his hands on him again.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart beats Diamond Dallas Page to become the WCW United States Champion in a no-disqualification match. Not long into the match, The Giant rushes in, stomps DDP and tosses him into the ring to choke slam him. Bret stands over DDP, then instead of going for the Sharpshooter, he gets him up so that The Giant can choke slam him again. Bret then puts DDP in the Sharpshooter, and DDP is knocked out by the time the hold is applied.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 30, 1998

RAW

We see footage from moments ago of Paul Bearer and The Undertaker talking backstage.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin arrives at the arena with a shovel in his hand before the next match. Austin then heads to the ring and hits Thrasher, Mosh, and Violent J with Stone Cold Stunners before throwing Mosh out of the ring. Austin says he is not going to wait 13 days for a Buried Alive Match, and before the night is over, The Undertaker will be wearing his shovel outside of his head.

D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry are seen getting ready for Henry's dinner date with Chyna. Meanwhile, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen looking for The Undertaker backstage.

It is announced that the signature covers of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Undertaker are available on newsstands now. The covers are two of four of a collectible series, with the other two being Hollywood Hogan and Goldberg from World Championship Wrestling, who - not surprisingly - are called "a recent retiree" and "a Stone Cold wanna-be," respectively, when Jim Ross says the covers may be sold out and fans may have to settle for Hogan or Goldberg.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is looking for The Undertaker backstage when a woman is walking by. When asked if she has seen The Undertaker, she says no. (This is the first-ever Raw appearance of Stephanie McMahon, the daughter of WWF co-owner Vince McMahon and the sister of WWF co-owner Shane McMahon. She does not officially debut until next year; however, she has started working in the WWF as an account executive and receptionist at WWF's New York offices at this time.)

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg' Jesse James" and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) beat The Brood (Gangrel and Edge) by disqualification after Christian hits Billy Gunn in the back with one of the tag team belts. During the match, WWF owner Vince McMahon and company show up and watch the match from the stage. After the match, The Big Boss Man and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock attack Gangrel, Edge and Christian while The New Age Outlaws head to the back.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen backstage in the bowels of the building with the shovel still inhis hand. Austin opens the doors to two walk-in freezers and looks in them. When he looks in the second one, however, he is shoved in by The Undertaker as Paul Bearer watches, and padlocks the door shut.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry asks D'Lo Brown to come with him for confidence. D'Lo Brown thinks he will be the third wheel, but Mark tells him he would do the same thing for him. D'Lo says he will do it this one time.

The Undertaker shows up. He knows that Kane is somewhere in the building, and as his ministry and his plague of evil over the WWF grows ever stronger, there are two things that stand in their way, one of them being "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who he will keep on ice until he buries him alive at Rock Bottom. He calls Kane out, saying that their battle is joined before calling him out, saying that before the night is over, one of them will face the future while the other faces eternal darkness. Kane immediately shows up, and both men brawl. The Undertaker hits Kane with a Tombstone Piledriver, then calls for Paul Bearer and a bunch of men in white from a mental institution who are carrying a straitjacket and a nightstick. Kane escapes through the arena as the men in white continue to go after Kane in Paul Bearer and The Undertaker's attempt to have Kane committed to a mental institution.

D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry head to their limousine. Mark Henry has a suit jacket and sunglasses for D'Lo - and a chauffeur's hat, as D'Lo is apparently made by Henry to be the limo driver.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry finally meets Chyna, who is in a leather vest and jeans. She just wants the dinner date over with, and rejects his romantic advances of flowers. She also recognizes D'Lo Brown, who is not amused at being the limousine driver.

The Baltimore Ravens football teams is seen in the front row.

Before the next match, X-Pac says he has no idea what's going on with The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), then calls out WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreaker Kid" Shawn Michaels, telling him hes going to beat his ass and that he will not use a steel chair. Shawn shows up in a suit, and says to X-Pac that he is the new sheriff in town and the new Commissioner in the WWF, and if he wanted crap out of him, he'd pick it out of his teeth. After saying that he's had chunks of guys bigger than X-Pac in his stool, X-Pac asks Shawn how wide his bunghole must be. Shawn then says nothing would thrill him more than to hand X-Pac's ass to him, but he is the Commissioner and not an active wrestler, and if X-Pac even looks at him wrong, he will send him back to World Championship Wrestling so fast his head will spin. Also, since X-Pac is looking for a fight, he will face "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock later tonight, and the WWF European Championship will be on the line. He then leaves after telling X-Pac he was D-Generation X before D-Generation X was cool

D'Lo Brown, Chyna and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry make it to the restaurant. Chyna gives Henry a hard time for the flowers for her being $1.99.

The walk-in freezer door that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was locked behind is opened, meaning that Austin has escaped.

Owen Hart guests on commentary for the next match, and states that he is staying retired and that he has never been The Blue Blazer as of late.

Goldust beats Jeff Jarrett by disqualification after Owen Hart attacks Goldust while Debra McMichael distract Goldust just before he is able to hit Shattered Dreams on Jarrett. The Blue Blazer shows up, but then attacks Owen before revealing that the man behind the mask in this instance is "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. Referees and officials have to restore order.

As "Stone Cold" Steve Austin looks for The Undertaker, The Undertaker and Paul Bearer look for Kane along with the mental institution guards.

WAR ZONE

WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels ejects The J.O.B. Squad (Al Snow, 2 Cold Scorpio, Bob Holly, Dwayne Gill) from ringside before guesting om commentary (and rating Mankind with cards he draws low numerical values like "-2" on).

The Big Boss Man beats Mankind in a Ladder Match to become the WWF Hardcore Champion! During the match, The Rock shows up and gets involved in the match, keeping Mankind from the title by pushing the ladder down - and Mankind with it before hitting Mankind with the Rock Bottom before helping The Big Boss Man grab the title. The Rock continues to stomp on Mankind after the match, and Shawn hits Mankind with the Boss Man's nightstick.

The Undertaker and Paul Bearer have found Kane...

The Undertaker and Kane are seen brawling backstage in a dimly lit room while Paul Bearer watches. The Undertaker lays Kane out with a steel chair, and The Undertaker places Kane in a bodybag while Paul Bearer gets the men in white. All of a sudden, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up from behind and whacks The Undertaker in the face with his shovel so hard that it knocks the metal end off.

"Marvelous" Marc Mero is in the ring. After scoffing at the fact that Dwayne Gill comes from Baltimore, Maryland - where Raw is taking place. He promises that if he cannot beat "that jobber," this will be the last time you see "Marvelous" Marc Mero. Dwayne Gill shows up with the Pasadena Chargers football team - which he coaches - and runs a lap around the ring with them. The team has just wrapped up an undefeated football season.

Dwayne Gill beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero, forcing Marc Mero to leave the World Wrestling Federation. During the match, Bob Holly and 2 Cold Scorpio show up at ringside. All of a sudden, The Blue Meanie shows up again from the crowd, and pushes Mero off the crowd as he goes for the Marvelocity, allowing Dwayne Gill to get the pin.

Paul Bearer finds the orderlies and takes them to where Kane and The Undertaker are.

The TV guide signature covers of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Undertaker are plugged again.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry and Chyna are seated at a restaurant. Mark Henry recites a poem to Chyna, and raises a glass of wine to her. Chyna drinks a glass of wine, and is about to drink the entire bottle until Mark Henry offers to dance.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock beats X-Pac by disqualification. X-Pac retains the WWF European Championship. During the match, WWF co-owner Vince McMahon and associates are seen talking to The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) backstage. Near the end, as X-Pac goes for the X-Factor, WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels pulls referee Tim White out of the ring and talks to him, allowing The Big Boss Man to strike X-Pac from behind with a cheap shot. As Tim White gets back in the ring, "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley makes a surprise return and kicks Shamrock in the face. Triple H and X-Pac flee the ring and give Shamrock, the Boss Man and Shawn the crotch chop from the ramp.

Paul Bearer and the orderlies find the bodybag. Kane is inside, and the bodybag is placed on the stretcher and taken away.

"The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry tries to get Chyna to dance with him. Chyna gets into it a little bit, but sits back down. Henry heads to the bathroom, and asks Chyna to watch his coat. Suddenly, a few guys walk in, point at Chyna, and proceed to try to get her attention and call her. Chyna wants nothing to do with them. Suddenly, the guy asking Chyna to dance with him calls her a bitch, and Chyna punches the guy out before Henry runs back in and beats up the man's two friends. Chyna and Mark Henry then leave the restaurant.

Before the next match, Val Venis brings out The Godfather and his hos. He then tells Tiger Ali Singh that last night, his girlfriend went all the way down after asking how low America will go. He then asks The Godfather to keep his eye on "that little monkey" Babu, and if he gets out of line, to "spank that little monkey."

Val Venis beats Tiger Ali Singh by disqualification. As The Godfather's hos keep Babu busy, Jacqueline and Terry Runnels show up. As Jacqueline distracts both Val Venis and The Godfather, Terri Runnels hits Val Venis with a low blow. Suddenly, The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) show up and attack Tiger Ali Singh and Babu while The Jackyl watches from the corner as Val Venis, THe Godfather and the hos leave. Referees and officials have to restore order.

Paul Bearer watches the ambulance leave. He heads back to the building, and Kane and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin watch Paul Bearer from a monitor in a dressing room.

WWF co-owner Shane McMahon shows up. He says that what we are about to see is "a lesson in humility" for Sable, who started out modeling WWF merchandise and would be nowhere if it were not for the marketing genius of his father, WWF co-owner Vince McMahon. He then brings out Sable, who models the new "WWF Attitude" cologne for men and "WWF Attitude" eau de toilette, only $19.99 each plus $4 shipping and handling. What happens next is a rather unintentionally creepy smell test where Sable ends up spraying the cologne into Shane's mouth before leaving.

The Rock beats Al Snow. During the match, Snow accidentally knocks out the ref with a clothesline. After hitting Snow with the Rock Bottom, The Rock gives Head the People's Elbow before trying to use it as a weapon. Snow takes Head away from The Rock, however, and hits him with it instead. As Earl Hebner comes to, The Big Boss Man and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock shows up. This distracts Snow, who falls for a Rock Bottom which gives The Rock the win. After the match, Mankind runs in, bu the gets beat up along with Al Snow by The Rock, Shamrock and The Big Boss Man. The rest of The J.O.B. Squad (Bob Holly, 2 Cold Scorpio, Dwayne Gill) rushes in and attacks Shamrock and The Boss Man, and Mankind catches up to The Rock as he heads to the back. Referees and officials rush to the ring and restore, but Mankind and The Rock take their brawl to the back.

Paul Bearer is looking for The Undertaker to tell him that Kane is gone only to run into "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who tells him to open the door to the nearby walk-in freezer. Inside is Kane. Austin tells Bearer that The Undertaker is the one going into the nuthouse with Kane's mask on his head as he and Kane take Paul Bearer to the ring.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Paul Bearer head to the ring with Paul Bearer. Austin asks Bearer how he feels knowing that he was the one who sent The Undertaker to a mental institution, and that The Undertaker cannot save him tonight as a result. He gives a recap of what Paul Bearer and The Undertaker tried to do to him last week, and calls Bearer "a sick bastard." After getting a beer, he asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they want to see Kane beat Paul Bearer up. Suddenly, he calls Kane off and asks Kane to get a gas can from the back, but then drinks the beer and changes his mind again, saying he has a better idea. Austin pulls out a pair of scissors, and Bearer pretends to pass out. Austin hen tells Bearer that "it's time for Dr. Austin to go to work" as he cuts Bearer's shirt open before telling him he will gut him with the scissors. Austin then says it would be too easy, then tells Kane to get him up. Austin and Kane then take Bearer outside. Kane opens a manhole cover, and Bearer is stuffed in the sewer by Austin and Kane to end the show.

After the show goes off the air, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin returns to the ring. He gets a beer, but he is suddenly attacked by The Rock. The Rock and Steve Austin fight in the ring, and Austin fights out of the Rock Bottom before hitting The Rock with a Stone Cold Stunner. After Austin has a beer, The Rock gets back on his feet, but is woozy. Austin waits for The Rock to turn around before hitting him with another Stone Cold Stunner and pouring the beer on him. Austin then tosses his tanktop into the crowd near the tamp and makes his way to the back. The Rock crawls to a microphone, picks it up, and says that he is leaving the WWF Champion as he tries to get back on his feet. Austin then comes back, grabs another beer, and then heads into the ring to offer The Rock a cold beer. The Rock takes the beer, they both drink, then The Rock tries to punch Austin only for Austin to duck and hit him with yet another Stone Cold Stunner and pouring another beer on the back of The Rock's head. Austin then heads back to the back again as WWF co-owner Shane McMahon helps The Rock up. Austin sees this, gets back in the ring again and hits Shane with a Stone Cold Stunner before hitting another one on The Rock. Austin helps Shane back up, raises his hand, hugs him, and then hits him with another Stone Cold Stunner. He then heads to the back.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for November 29, 1998

Christian beats Duane Gill by disqualification after The Blue Meanie - from Extreme Championship Wrestling - shows up and attacks Christian. This starts a brawl between The J.O.B. Squad (Bob Holly and 2 Cold Scorpio) and The Brood (Gangrel, Edge, Christian). Duane Gill retains the WWF Light Heavyweight Championship.

It is announced that there will be a guest color commentator later tonight.

D'Lo Brown beats "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman by count-out when The Blue Blazer shows up from underneath the ring only to get his cape caught on a bolt, leading Blackman to beat him up.

WWF owner Vince McMahon tells Sgt. Slaughter, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and Shane McMahon to "kiss their ass like you would kiss mine" regarding an expected guest for tonight.

Backstage, Kevin Kelly interviews The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva). Luna says that scum does seek its own level, and The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope) are scum. If they want to be with The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh), then the four of them can take on The Oddities at Rock Bottom, as they have made a big mistake by making the freaks angry. Kurrgan goes on to say that being a freak isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Before the next match, The Godfather tells The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) that he would normally give them the offer between fighting him and one of the hos, but since Val Venis kept his hos up all night long, he is giving the hos the night off and kicking The Headbangers' asses. When Val Venis shows up, he is about to speak, but he is attacked from behind by The Headbangers.

The Godfather and Val Venis beat The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh). During the match, The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva) show up, and they provide a distraction that allows The Godfather to hit the Pimp Drop for the win. After the match, The Oddities and The Headbangers brawl, and The Headbangers are forced to retreat.

Backstage, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) meet with WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, Sgt. Slaughter and Shane McMahon in the skybox on business.

Michael Cole and Grand Master Robbie are in the Bop It Game Center. After George and Adam explain the rules of Bop It, , Al Snow and Head play the game, and Al Snow loses. Next week, The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva) will be in the Bop It Game Center.

The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) continue to speak with WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, Sgt. Slaughter and Shane McMahon in the skybox concerning business, with Vince offering them a lot of money and Shane telling that "membership does have its privileges."

Before the next match, "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry has a poem for Chyna: "Roses are red / violets are blue / you're strong and you're nice / and I am too / Your hair is like midnight / your eyes like stars / What you are to me is a superstar." He also says that he cannot wait until tomorrow night. He then grabs a copy of Raw Magazine from someone in the front row and looks through it for pictures of Chyna only to get blindsided by X-Pac.

X-Pac retains the WWF European Championship against a distracted "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry with an X-Factor from the top rope. After the match, Kevin Kelly interviews X-Pac, who says he has noticed that Mark Henry has been distracted by Chyna, and tells him that if he gets out of line with her, it will not only be his first date but also his last rites. When told that The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) are in the skybox with WWF owner Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, Sgt. Slaughter and Shane McMahon, he says that he hopes that they aren't "kissing ass." The Outlaws leave, and Vince is furious, thinking that eveyrone else in the room let slip that this meeting was happening.

In footage from yesterday, Jim Ross interviews "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who says that WWF owner Vince McMahon's mandate that he cool off for 24 hours before re-appearing on WWF television is "a bunch of bullshit" and that it will not be enough to cool him down at all and that it will piss him off even more. He says that nobody should expect to hit him on the head with a shovel, drag him and try to embalm him alive without expecting payback, and when he shows up on Raw, he's going to beat somebody's ass.

In footage for WWF.com, we hear from The Undertaker and Paul Bearer. The Undertaker tells Austin that he has tempted fate far too many times, and he still does not get it. He says that Austin is looking for some kind of retribution, and that this will go far beyond retribution as he will be sacrificed for impeding the progress of his ministry. If Austin comes looking for him tomorrow, he will be waiting, for when he looks into his eyes, he will truly understand that Monday was the beginning of the end and that his soul will be sacrificed for the Ministry of Darkness tomorrow night. Paul Bearer tells Kane that he is a total idiot and that he showed it to the world. As his legal guardian, he has the authority to sign the papers in his hands. He warns Kane that if he steps one foot into the arena tomorrow night, he will have the orderlies there with the straitjacket to lock him up forever.

We see a black-and-white vignette of Jeff Jarrett talking about how baseball pisses him off.

Kane beats Jeff Jarrett by disqualification. During the match, Debra McMichael gets in the ring and distracts Kane only for Kane to grab her by the throat. Jarrett gets in the ring with his guitar and smashes it into Kane's head, but it has no effect and Jarrett scrambles out of the ring and retreats.

The Rock guests on commentary for the next match.

The Corporation (The Big Boss Man and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock) beat Al Snow and Mankind after Mankind goes at it with The Rock at the commentary table. The Rock and Mankind continue to brawl after the match their way to the back as The J.O.B. Squad (Bob Holly, Duane Gill, 2 Cold Scorpio) and The Brood (Gangrel, Edge, Christian) brawl with each in the ring to end the show.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 23, 1998

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Lex Luger beats Mike Enos with the Torture Rack.

Goldberg is seen coming out of a white limousine outside of the arena. Beside that limo is a black limousine is Kevin Nash and Konnan. Nash and Konnan poke fun at the former being "next," but Goldberg tells him "The funny thing is, being next ain't a safe place to be; ask your girlfriend."

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Kidman. He brings out Rey Mysterio Jr., as he has a few things to say to him. He says that Rey smartened up last night and that there is no ill will between them, and respects him for leaving the Latino World Order. He promises him a shot at the Cruiserweight title tonight. Rey thanks him for the shot, then tells him he had a great match last night and may the best man win. Suddenly, Eddie Guerrero and his bodyguard shows up, and Eddie pulls out a contract stating that he is bound legally and by blood to him and the LWO. He then says he has much love and respect for him even though he "[acted] like a turd on national television," he will give him another opportunity, and pulls out a shirt that matches the expectations he has for him and wants him to wear it. It is a 6XL-sized Latino World Order. Rey puts it on, saying he will fix this later.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Norman Smiley with the Crippler Crossface.

Ed Begalla from Highland, Indiana is the winner of this week's Nitro Party Pack. We see some footage from his Nitro Party.

nWo Wolfpac (Kevin Nash, Konnan, Lex Luger) show up. The three of them celebrate Nash's win in the World War 3 Match. Lex Luger says he hates winning second place in anything, but last night was a Wolfpac victory, and that Nash will be the next World champ at Starrcade. Nash says that when they put the Wolfpac together, it seemed like everyone put the gun sights on them and that everybody tried to hold them back by taking out "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Sting along with the rest of them. He says that one great thing about pro wrestling is nights like last night, because when you win it, there's nothing you can do. Whether everyone likes it or not, he's next. He then says that when Goldberg has the number one in the loss column, "it's gonna be me!"

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Kevin Nash backstage, asking about him and Scott Hall from last night. Nash says the last time he put his hand out to Hall, he was put through a hall, and Hall will have to prove he wants to be friends again, as it is something he also wants. Suddenly, Goldberg shows up with two security guards, and Kevin Nash says to Lex Luger, who is next to him, "watch my back." Goldberg tells Nash not to worry about his back, as he wants him to "see that truck that runs him over."

Before the next match, Kanyon is seen arguing with Raven, telling him to grow up and that he wants him at ringside. Raven stays in the back and Kanyon heads out on his own. He almost does his "Who's better than Kanyon?" pre-match promo, but then he says "Forget it. You're not gonna get it right, anyway." Tokyo Magnum then almost wins the match on a schoolboy pin.

Kanyon beats Tokyo Magnum. During the match, it is announced that Hollywood Hogan will be on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Thursday night, and that he will explain why he was absent from last night's World War 3 Match.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Bobby Duncum Jr. beats Glacier.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Giant. He says Kevin Nash knew he was the man to beat in the World War 3 Match, and when it came down to the last few men, he had to get rid of him. He did, and now he has a shot at Goldberg. He then calls Nash a coward who hides in the back and does not want to face him one-on-one, and that the nWo Wolfpac has "a big case of chicken-itis." He wants to know if Nash has any guts, as he will beat Goldberg for the belt and Nash will not be able to run away from him then, as he will have to win the World title from him at Starrcade. If Goldberg has any balls, he will face him tonight.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.

Before the next match, Saturn says that if he will allow Ernest "The Cat" Miller sneak attack him, he is out of his mind. If Miller is half the man he says he is, he will meet him face-to-face.

Saturn beats Silver King. During the match, Ernest "The Cat" Miller shows up with Sonny Onoo, and asks him what makes him think he can handle him when Sonny Onoo beat him last night. He tells Saturn and everyone in the crowd to kiss his ass concerning Saturn's challenge. Saturn chases after Onoo and Miller after the match.

It is announced that Goldberg has accepted The Giant's challenge, and it is announced that in their match, there must be a winner.

Kidman retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Rey Mysterio Jr. During the match, Eddie Guerrero and Juventud Guerrera head towards the ring. As Kidman and the referee are distracted by Eddie Guerrero, Juvi hits Rey with the Juvi Driver. This allows Kidman to hit the Shooting Star Press to retain the title.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Eric Bischoff. Bischoff says it is time to accomplish a couple of things tonight, most notably settling issues with "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He also makes it very clear that he runs WCW, and for better or worse, he is the boss, and that Scott Hall found out the hard way last night. He then asks Flair to come to the ring. Flair shows up, and says he is overwhelmed with the fact that tonight, Bischoff not only has the guts, but has extended him the courtesy to stand eye-to-eye with him. Bischoff tells him he deserves it, as what is going on between them has affected their families and everyone in the crowd and the industry, and that it is time to put an end to it. Bischoff tells Flair that even he has to acknowledge that he runs this company. Flair says he will acknowledge that even a man like Ted Turner makes a few mistakes along the way, and that Bischoff is one of them. He tells Flair he cannot hire or fire anybody, and brings out Barry Windham, who shows up. Bischoff tells Flair he has a future in WCW, but Barry Windham is the same man that will look him in the eye and knock him flat on his ass. Flair says the one thing he wants to make clear to Bischoff is tradition, as Windham is talent and has paid the price, and that he was once a Horseman and can be again. He tells Bischoff that tradition is still alive in this sport. Bischoff tells Flair that the one thing he wants him to understand is that he has the power. Bischoff punches Flair, but Flair punches back, and Windham attacks Flair from behind before taking one of his knees out and punching him out. He then puts Flair in a reverse chinlock before Bischoff kicks at Flair. Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko try to make the save, but nWo Hollywood cuts them off at the pass and beat on them. Bischoff and Windham then leave.

Konnan beats Booker T by disqualification. At the beginning of the match, it is announced that The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael) have left the arena to regroup after what happened earlier regarding Barry Windham, and that Dean Malenko has stayed behind as he is contractually bound to face Bret "The Hit Man" Hart in a wrestling match later tonight. During the match, Stevie Ray shows up and gets his hands on Konnan from the apron, causing the match to end by disqualification. Stevie Ray tells Booker T that he should have had Konnan beaten in minutes last night while Booker T could not, and wants to know where his head is at. Booker tells Stevie to handle his business and let him handle his with his nWo brothers. Stevie says his brothers stick with him, and he tells Booker T to look at what is going on and see what is happening.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Bret says he should be the United States Heavyweight Champion right now, and says the fans are so happy that Diamond Dallas Page won, but he tells DDP last night was a cheap victory, and that DDP is "cheap" and "a punk." He also says the people are punks. He tells DDP he knows he is backstage and that it is not over between them, as he wants a rematch as last night was "the pits." He plans to set an example with every opponent he gets in the ring with, and mentions that Dean Malenko has a bad leg. He says it is a dirty job, but he will have to throw Malenko's leg into the crowd as he will beat the crap out of him and wants DDP to watch him do it, as he will do it to everybody until DDP gives him his rematch for the US title.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

Kevin Nash beats Wrath, putting Wrath's undefeated streak to an end with a Jackknife Power Bomb.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Chris Jericho. Jericho says he feels let down and betrayed a little bit by the Jerichoholics, as he feels they have not given him the respect he deserves and have not been cheering him as loudly, and that they have forgotten they are cheering for him because he is better than all of you. He says Bobby Duncum Jr. was embarrassed and torn apart last night. He hates cowboys, especially after Stu Hart made him a cowboy in his very first match, but then realizes that being a cowboy is a little fun and says that he can "rope up a dogie" and "rustle up some vittles" just as good as anyone else can. Suddenly, Duncum shows up with Ralphus, who is tied up with Duncum's bullrope with his mouth duct taped. Duncum then hogties Ralphus and leaves him in the aisle before heading to the back.

Before the next match, Chris Jericho is untying Ralphus from Bobby Duncum Jr.'s rope while Scott Hall makes his way down the aisle. Scott Hall then kicks at Ralphus. As Hall makes his way to the ring, the nWo Hollywood theme plays until it immediately stops when Hall tells the production crew to stop it. Hall says that after two-and-a-half years of surveying, tonight is the final survey as everybody is here for one reason: to see the nWo. He says it is no secret that there are two factions in the nWo. The first is nWo Hollywood, who told him that he is out, even though he started the nWo all by himself. If he is all alone again, than that is the way he likes it. The second is nWo Wolfpac, and Kevin Nash says he has to prove some things to him, and Hall feels that the people think he may have some things to prove to them. However, he has things to prove to himself, and he plans to start tonight with Alex Wright. When Wright shows up, he tells the crowd - and Scott Hall - to show him some respect.

Scott Hall beats Alex Wright.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Dean Malenko beats Bret "The Hit Man" Hart by disqualification after Bret hits Malenko with a Diamond Cutter on a steel chair. During the match, it is announced that a special one-hour extra edition of Nitro will air on TNT tomorrow night at 8 PM Eastern, 7 PM Central. After the match, Diamond Dallas Page gets in the ring, and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart attacks DDP with the chair until DDP somehow gets back up and punches Bret off the apron as he tries to escape. DDP then helps Malenko to his feet, then grabs the microphone and says that next week, he will take Bret in a rematch for the United States Heavyweight Championship because he gets all jacked up when Bret feels the bang.

Goldberg retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against The Giant. After the match, Bam Bam Bigelow rushes into the ring to beat up Goldberg, and numerous security guards and police officers have to keep both men away from each other as Bigelow is ejected from the arena yet again. Kevin Nash then shows up and gets in the ring, and the show ends with security and law enforcement keeping both Goldberg and Nash separated in the ring.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 23, 1998

RAW

WWF owners Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon come to the ring with Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter. Vince says he has nothing to do with The Undertaker attacking "Stone Cold" Steve Austin with a shovel last week, saying he does not lie and that when he guarantees something, the fans can take it to the back. In a moment, Vince will name a new WWF Commissioner, as what he and his family do is done for the fans. He admits they disagree sometimes, but everything they do, they do it for the fans. Vince tells the fans that Sgt. Slaughter has decided to graciously step aside to allow the World Wrestling Federation to advance, so it can have an independent, free-thinker at the helm who does not answer to him. This Commissioner will have full rights and privileges to treat every WWF Superstar with equality and dignity, with the only exception to the rule being "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, as Austin is his, and he will make all decisions as it pertains to him. He then introduces the new WWF Commissioner: "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. Shawn shows up in a street clothes and a cowboy hat, and says "It looks like there's a new sheriff in town!" Shawn thanks Vince for the opportunity, and is thrilled to be back in the ring in one form or another. As a token of his appreciation and as the new Commissioner of the World Wrestling Federation, he can be the one guaranteeing things around her and that things will never, ever be the same again. In an effort to add a little bit more "sizzle to tonight's steak," he then asks to book his first match, right here, right now. Tonight, the WWF Championship is one the line as The Rock will defend the title against X-Pac. He then asks for the DX music to be played, and Vince and companies realize they may have made a mistake.

Kevin Kelly interviews The Oddities (Violent J, Shaggy 2 Dope, Luna Vachon, Golga, Kurrgan, Giant Silva), who have a rematch against The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) tonight. Violent J tells The Oddities he is ready, but Shaggy 2 Dope is not ready, and they are not ready as a team, telling The Oddities they are right and that they are not ready physically or mentally. He asks The Oddities to have his back in the match tonight. Luna says The Oddities can handle it, but they feel disappointed.

The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) beat The Oddities (Kurrgan and Golga). Before the match, it is announced that the newest issue of Raw Magazine is available tomorrow. During the match, Violent J gets on the apron, and Golga inadvertently knocks him off. This distracts Golga, and Mosh chokes Golga out with a shirt before Thrasher gets the schoolboy pin. After the match, Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope stomp on Golga along with Thrasher and Mosh, and Shaggy 2 Dope sprays spray paint into Giant Silva's eyes. The four of them attack everyone else in the ring save for the referee, cutting Luna Vachon's hair after spray painting her in the eyes and tieing Giant Silva up in the ropes. Mosh says this is the new Headbanger attitude and that there is not right way or wrong way, only The Headbanger way, and that it's their turn to kick a little bit of ass.

"The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beats The Blue Blazer. During the match, it is made evident from a close-up of The Blue Blazer that Owen Hart is not behind the mask. After the match, Blackman tries to unmask The Blue Blazer, but Owen Hart rushes in from behind and hits Blackman in his injured leg with a chop block before leaving with The Blue Blazer.

We see footage from yesterday in San Jose, California, where "Stone Cold" Steve Austin collapses after a match, having suffered nausea and dizziness, among other symptoms, from being hit in the head with a shovel by The Undertaker last week on Raw.

WWF owner Vince McMahon and WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels are seen having a word backstage.

The Brood (Gangrel and Edge) beat The Nation (D'Lo Brown and "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry). During the match, Chyna shows up, distracting Mark Henry and allowing Gangrel to win with a schoolboy pin. After the match, Chyna simply says "All right, Mark...I'll do it." Mark is excited, as the dinner date is on.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen talking to the doctors at the hospital, who give him some medication to allow him to get some sleep. He is also told to take a couple of weeks off. He tells Jim Ross that he feels like he's been hit in the head with a shovel, and that The Undertaker and Paul Bearer will have hell to pay when he comes back. His blood pressure goes up upon the mere thought of getting revenge.

WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is seen talking with D-Generation X ("Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, X-Pac) backstage.

Goldust vs. "Marvelous Marc Mero" ends in a no-contest. Before the match, it is announced that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will face The Undertaker in a Buried Alive Match at next month's pay-per-view, Rock Bottom, and if Austin wins, he qualifies for the Royal Rumble Match in January. During the match, Terri Runnels shows up, and Jacqueline shows up soon after. Terri gets up on the apron to distract the referee as Goldust readies Mero for Shattered Dreams, then Jacqueline hits Goldust with a low blow before Terri kicks Mero in the crotch.

Back at the hospital, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin signs an autograph, then has his blood pressure checked before he gets some sleep. A hearse is then seen pulling up in front of the hospital.

WAR ZONE

Mankind retains the WWF Hardcore Championship against The Big Boss Man and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock. WWF owners Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon show up and watch from the stage during the match. Near the end, The J.O.B. Squad (Al Snow, 2 Cold Scorpio, Bob Holly) show up, and Al Snow hits Shamrock with Head as Shamrock has Mankind in the ankle lock to allow Mankind to retain.

The Undertaker and Paul Bearer are seen assaulting "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in the hospital in San Jose, California and putting him under with a handkerchief covered in ether. The Undertaker tells Austin "This is where you get off" and "This is your last ride."

The Undertaker and Paul Bearer place "Stone Cold" Steve Austin in their hearse and drive off.

Dwayne Gill beats Christian to become the WWF Light Heavyweight Champion! During the match, The J.O.B. Squad (Al Snow, 2 Cold Scorpio, Bob Holly) attack Edge and Gangrel, and 2 Cold Scorpio hits Christian with a splash before placing Gill on top of him. Michael Cole - who calls this "the greatest upset in WWF history" - interviews Gill, who says that aside from the birth of the son, this is the greatest moment of his life. He is then helped to the back by The J.O.B. Squad.

The Undertaker and Paul Bearer take a sedated "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to a mound of dirt in the middle of nowhere. Nearby is an open grave, which Bearer asks The Undertaker to make a little bit deeper. Bearer tells Austin he has crossed the line, and Austin comes to and grabs Bearer. The Undertaker puts Austin in a headlock while Bearer puts Austin back under with a handkerchief doused in ether. The Undertaker then says burying Austin alive is too good for him, and tells Bearer he will embalm him alive and that Austin will know what pain is.

The Undertaker and Paul Bearer are seen driving away with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Before the next match, The Godfather gives Tiger Ali Singh the choice between fighting him - to which he says he will kick Singh's ass - or any of his three hoes for the entire night. Suddenly, Steven Regal shows up and tells Singh he got screwed royally last week, because he trusted The Godfather and that Singh "can afford better slappers than this." Regal and Singh then double-team The Godfather, and Val Venis gets in the ring to beat up Singh. Referees and officials have to restore order. After the match, The Godfather gives the hos to Val Venis.

WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels and The Rock are sen having a disagreement backstage, and WWF owners Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon have to keep The Rock away from Shawn.

WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels is seen talking to referee Earl Hebner in the locker room.

The J.O.B. Squad (Bob Holly and 2 Cold Scorpio) beat The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn). During the match, it is revealed that Dwayne Gill has joined The J.O.B. Squad. Near the end, Mankind shows up with a leafblower and hits Billy Gunn in the head with it. After the match, The Big Boss Man and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock show up and attack everyone in the ring. Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and Sgt. Slaughter show up and try to recruit The New Age Outlaws.

The Undertaker and Paul Bearer take "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to a funeral home.

In the funeral home, The Undertaker takes "Stone Cold" Steve Austin into the embalming room and places him on the slab. As Paul Bearer gets prepared for the enbalming, The Undertaker tells Austin that he cannot tempt the fate and tempt "the Ministry," and that this it did not have to be this way and that this is his fault. He tells Austin this is what he gets when he crosses the line into a realm of darkness from which there is no escape, and that this is the final road for him. Bearer then cuts Austin's shirt in half.

In the funeral home, The Undertaker tells "Stone Cold" Steve Austin that he hopes he can hear him, for what he will experience is going to be the worst imaginable pain and horror that he could ever endure, as when one understands death, they become ageless, deathless and immortal. The Undertaker then chants some foreign words, then points a dagger at the throat of Austin. Suddenly, Kane shows up and attacks The Undertaker. Bearer tries to finish the job with some scissors, but Austin comes to, resists and escapes. The camera then suddenly cuts off, and the transmission ends.

WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels shows up before the next match and ejects The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn), "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and The Big Boss Man from ringside, sending them back to the back and ensuring that the next match is strictly one-on-one. He then watches the match from ringside.

After the match, The New Age Outlaws ("Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn) rush into the ring. The Rock escapes, but The Big Boss Man and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock rush in and attack The Outlaws and X-Pac. Vince, Shane, The Rock and Shawn are seen mockingly giving The Outlaws and X-Pac the D-Generation X crotch chop from the ramp to end the show.

Feel The Heat - Sunday Night Heat recap for November 22, 1998

The Rock shows up along with WWF owner Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, The Big Boss Man, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter to start tonight's show. Vince says he resents the fact that many of the fans have publicly stated that had it not been for The Undertaker last week on Raw, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin would have defeated The Rock for the WWF Championship. He says The Rock was "just warming up" and had not even broken "a corporate sweat," and to show just what kind of competitor The Rock is, The Rock has decided to defend the WWF Championship at the next pay-per-view, appropriately named Rock Bottom, against Mankind. Vince says The Rock is not backing up for anybody, and as far as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin is concerned, there is "no chance in Hell" that Austin will ever again become the WWF Champion; however, The Undertaker gave him an idea when he almost decapitated Austin with the shovel last week. He announces that at January's Royal Rumble pay-per-view, he will be one of the 30 participants in the Royal Rumble, assuming he qualifies by beating The Undertaker in a Buried Alive Match. Vince then addresses the fans who claim he has too much power by announcing that Sgt. Slaughter has stepped aside as WWF Commissioner so that Vince can announce "an independent, free-thinking, new WWF Commissioner" for them.

Michael Cole gets some shocking news through his headset during the commercial break. After the break, he announces that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin suffered a blackout after his match earlier this afternoon in San Jose, California. Jim Ross says that updates will be forthcoming.

The Jackal guests on commentary for the next match and introduces The Acolytes - Faarooq and Bradshaw - who immediately lay out both Too Much ("Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and Scott "Too Hot" Taylor) and The Hardy Boyz (Jeff and Matt Hardy), which reveals why Faarooq and Bradshaw are suddenly teaming together. Referees show up to try to keep them from doing any more damage.

Michael Cole and Jim Ross interview senior WWF official Jack Lanza via telephone, who says that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin had been suffering from dizziness and headaches all day long, and after his match this afternoon, he blacked out. He was taken to the medical center in San Jose and appears to be okay, but he is being examined right now.

Michael Cole and Grand Master Robbie host the Totally Twister Game Center, where George and Adam explain the rules of Pass It before Grand Master Robbie and Jerry "The King" Lawler play Pass It only for Lawler to leave Robbie high and dry.

Backstage, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco tell WWF owner Vince McMahon that "Stone Cold" Steve Austin blacked out in San Jose, California. Instead of showing malicious glee about this, Vince shows concern.

Gangrel vs. Al Snow ends in a double disqualification after the match devolves into a brawl between The Brood (Gangrel, Edge, Christian) and The J.O.B. Squad (Al Snow, 2 Cold Scorpio, Bob Holly) that referees have to break up.

Backstage, Kevin Kelly interviews L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Darren "Puke" Drozdov). Despite Road Warrior Hawk not being critically injured despite being pushed off the top of the TitanTron in what appears to be a suicide attempt, Droz says the old L.O.D. would dwell on the past, but the new L.O.D. 2000 - he and Animal - are shooting towards the future and ready to show every other team in the WWF that they can take control, throw them all in a blender, hit "puree," and turn them into "a chopped-up pile of fly-infested goo" in a Hawk-styled promo.

The Big Boss Man beats "Marvelous" Marc Mero after Jacqueline grabs Mero's leg, thinking she is grabbing The Big Boss Man's, allowing Boss Man to hit the Boss Man Slam for the win. After the match, Mero grabs the microphone and says she brought Jacqueline to take care of Sable, and from what he has seen, Sable has taken care of her. He says that Jacqueline is a thorn in a side, that this is the last match she will cost him, and to "say bye-bye to The Marvelous One."

Mankind is seen carrying a leaf blower on his way to the ring backstage.

Mankind shows up carrying a leaf blower. He says it has been a little while since he has had a chance to voice his opinion, and tonight, he would like to talk just a little bit about family and the pain that results following a break-up of that family. He asks WWF owner Vince McMahon to feast his eyes on the leaf blower, for it could have been his, and says that he put a nice little bow on it as he was saving it for Father's Day. He says that when the leaves lay on the ground all winter long, causing a detriment in the nitrogen level with the resulting decaying leaf matter leading to poor oxygen levels in the soil and making Vince's lawn the laughingstock of Greenwich, Connecticut, not to blame him, because from now on, he is now divorcing his family. Mankind says he can take ridicule, take embarrassment and forgive just about everything, but he will not forgive him for making him where the tuxedo shoes that he is wearing right now. He takes the shoes and throws them into the audience as a sick reminder of the sorriest day of his life, makes a Mark McGuire joke, then asks where Mr. Socko is. He says that Mr. Socko is not lost; as a matter of fact, he is on his left sock and he will continue to stay there, un-laundered and festering, until he finds his final resting place: the bottom of Vince McMahon's gullet. Vince and Shane McMahon show up, and Vince asks Mankind to understand that he is "a living, breathing personification of the fact that you cannot shine shit." He also says it hurts him deeply that Mankind cannot understand that love hurts and that he is left with no alternative but to show how badly it will hurt, for tomorrow night on Raw, he will defend the WWF Hardcore Championship against "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and The Big Boss Man in a Triple Threat Match. He then sarcastically tells Mankind "Have a nice day!" before he and Shane leave.

Sable guests on commentary for the next match. It is announced that Sable Unleashed will be available this Tuesday where videocassettes are sold.

Jeff Jarrett beats Kurrgan. During the match, Violent J gets on the apron, and this causes a quarrel between Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope) and the rest of The Oddities (Luna Vachon, Giant Silva, Golga). Kurrgan tosses Jarrett out of the ring as the referee deals with this, then Debra distracts Kurrgan so that Jarrett can blast Kurrgan in the head with a guitar shot for the win. After the match, Sable confronts Debra for her actions, and Jarrett has to take Debra away.

Kevin Kelly interviews Val Venis backstage. Venis says tonight's first time will be a lot like a first time he once had, and he will leave "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock hurt and confused to the point that Shamrock won't know what hit him after "The Big Valbowski" comes out on top.

Michael Cole and Jim Ross interview senior WWF official Jack Lanza, who says that Austin is resting well and undergoing a battery of tests, but nothing is confirmed other than the fact that he has a concussion. It is then announced before the next match that there will be another update tomorrow night on Raw.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Val Venis by disqualification after Mankind hits him in the back with a leaf blower. After the match, The Big Boss Man rushes in and assaults Mankind with his nightstick, holding him back so that Shamrock can hit Mankind with the leaf blower as the show ends.

World War 3 1998 - The Results

The show begins with a white limousine pulling up and Goldberg coming out from the back door.

It is announced on commentary that Hollywood Hogan is strangely absent tonight.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund plugs the WCW Hotline with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan's predictions on who will win the World War 3 match as well as results for World War 3 later tonight.

Wrath beats Glacier after reversing the Ice Pick into a Meltdown.

We see a video package of Bret "The Hit Man" Hart talking about Booker T, Lex Luger, Chris Benoit, and Diamond Dallas Page, and says he will make an example out of Diamond Dallas Page. He also says that if we are lucky, Diamond Dallas Page will never wrestle again.

Stevie Ray beats Konnan by disqualification after Konnan shoves referee Billy Silverman to the corner when he tells him to get off of Stevie Ray and stop punching him. Earlier in the match, Vincent accidentally hits Stevie Ray in the side of the head with a slap jack. After the match, Booker T shows up and asks him to stop. Booker T helps Stevie Ray up, but Stevie Ray pushes him aside and rejects his help, choosing nWo Hollywood over his own brother.

Sonny Onoo and Ernest "The Cat" Miller beat Kaz Hayashi and Saturn. Before the match, Onoo and Miller show up with a two-man ring crew who cool down Onoo with a towel when he knocked out of the ring. At one point in the match, Onoo offers Hayashi money, but Hayashi punches him, knocking the money out of Onoo's hands. Onoo ends up getting the cover after Saturn gets him in a front facelock only for The Cat to hit him with a roundhouse kick, allowing Onoo to fall on Saturn and get the cover.

Chris Jericho answers interview questions for WCW.com, saying he will beat Bobby Duncum Jr. tonight.

Before the next match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund finds out that Juventud Guerrera has joined the Latino World Order, and Eddie Guerrero says that Juvi has seen the light and joined the Latino World Order in their mission against Eric Bischoff. Rey shows up and confronts Eddie for using Juventud to keep him from getting a title shot. Eddie tells Rey that Juvi has shown what sacrifice and raza is all about, and that he is the Cruiserweight Champion as a result. Eddie insinuates that Rey does not understand what sacrifice is all about, and offers to take him to the back to show him, as he needs to sacrifice for the needs of the many and forget about his own needs, as the LWO is his family now. Rey tells Eddie he will do something about this.

Kidman beats Juventud Guerrera to become the WCW Cruiserweight Champion after Rey Mysterio Jr. grabs onto Kidman to stop Juventud from hitting him with a hurricanrana off the top rope. After the match, Rey is confronted by the Latino World Order, and Eddie tells Rey that either he is in or he is out. Rey takes off the tanktop and tosses it at Eddie, then hightails it for the back with the LWO not far behind.

nWo Hollywood is seen attacking Rick Steiner backstage, and security has to hold them back. The Giant ends up taking Rick to the ring with him, and Scott and Buff proceed to beat Rick up. Goldberg runs into the ring as Scott Steiner has Rick in the Steiner Recliner, and it does not take long to hit Scott with the Steiner. Buff hits Goldberg with a chair, but it has no effect, and Goldberg tosses Scott and Buff's referee out of one ring and all the way to the other side of another ring when he jumps on Golderg's back.Rick and Goldberg hug in a sign of respect, and Goldberg raises Rick Steiner's arm in victory.

Scott Hall shows up with nWo Hollywood, and Eric Bischoff shows up shortly afterward. Bischoff tells Hall that since the last time he saw him, it was a revelation for him. He then says it is survey time, and survey says "Get him!" nWo Hollywood goes after Hall, and Kevin Nash rushes into the ring and cleans house. Hall and Nash stand tall in the ring after nWo Hollywood is taken out of the ring one man at a time, and the crowd chants "Outsiders!" Hall and Nash look at each other, then Hall holds up the Wolfpac hand symbol. Nash slowly leaves the ring and heads to the back.

Chris Jericho retains the WCW World Television Championship against Bobby Duncum Jr. after Duncum tries to grab Ralphus and get him in the ring in response to Ralphus grabbing at one of his feet from outside of the ring, only to be blasted in the back with the TV title belt from behind without the referee being able to see it.

Kevin Nash wins the World War 3 Match to earn a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Kevin Nash clears out Ring 3 in a matter of minutes, and waits until 20 men are remaining to get into Ring 2. Near the end, Bam Bam Bigelow gets in the ring from out of the crowd, but the participants in the match keep him out. Security surround Bam Bam Bigelow, and Goldberg rushes out to get his hands on Bam Bam Bigelow. Numerous security guards have to pull both men apart at ringside, and Bam Bam Bigelow is ejected from the arena.

Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. During the match, DDP tries to hit Bret with a chair. Referee Charles Robinson tries to stop him, and Bret pushes DDP into Robinson. The nWo referee from Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell's beatdown on Rick Steiner shows up and tries to take the chair away from DDP, and Bret takes the foreign object that he dropped earlier from the match out of the Robinson's pocket and nails DDP with it. Referee Mickey Jay checks on Robinson, and Bret applies the Sharpshooter to DDP. The referee calls for the bell, and the bell is rung, even though the nWo referee is not an official referee and DDP never tapped to the Sharpshooter. Mickey Jay confronts the nWo referee, and DDP hits Bret with the Diamond Cutter to retain the United States title.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 16, 1998

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

A motorcade of limousines and police escorts arrives at the arena. Once again, Secret Service agents ask for the camera crew to step back.

Juventud Guerrera beats Kidman to become the WCW Cruiserweight Champion! Kidman personally hands Juvi the belt and raises his hand in a show of respect after the match.

Before the next match, Raven says that when he was a child, just like Judy Bagwell, his mom used to tell him where to go, what to do and when to do it. He is an adult now, and WCW is not going to tell him when to wrestle, who to wrestle or how to do it. He tells Wrath he can have this match without him. Kanyon grabs the microphone and asks Raven to wrestle the match, telling him to snap out of it as nobody gets more airtime without wrestling than he does. Raven insists on not wrestling, and Kanyon decides to take his place in the match, even though he is supposed to wrestle Glacier in the next match. After Kanyon asks "Who's better than Kanyon," Wrath immediately hits him from behind and puts him in the Meltdown. Since the bell never rang, the match never happened, and Wrath leaves. But as Glacier shows up and Wrath leaves, and Wrath turns around and follows him. Wrath then gets back in the ring and puts Glacier in the Meltdown.

After the commercial break, Kanyon and Glacier are still down in the center of the ring, and Wrath has already left. Referee Mickey Jay is still there, and he calls for the bell. Kanyon manages to go for the pinfall attempt just before the ten-count.

Kanyon beats Glacier.

Apollo Russell is this week's Nitro Party Pack winner. We see some footage from his Nitro Party.

Sonny Onoo beats El Gringo after Ernest "The Cat" Miller shows up as the referee is focused on Sonny Onoo and lays out El Gringo - who unmasks himself to reveal he is Kaz Hayashi after Onoo tells him he paid him to get in the ring with him- and tells Onoo to get back in the ring and pin him.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Stevie Ray and Horace Hogan beat The Four Horsemen (Dean Malenko and Steve "Mongo" McMichael). After "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson beats up Vincent at ringside - allowing Stevie Ray to hit Mongo with a flapjack - Anderson hits Stevie Ray with a tire iron. Head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger gets on the apron, and demands Anderson hand over the tire iron.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour. It is announced that "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson has been escorted out of the building due to the use of the tire iron, and that Steve "Mongo" McMichael has been taken to a local hospital after being hit in the head with a slapjack by Stevie Ray.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He says that "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is heading to jail courtesy of Eric "No guts, no gonads" Bischoff. As for Steve "Mongo" McMichael, he is all man and he is a Horseman. He says tradition, reality and life are the difference between himself and Bischoff, and if Bischoff was a man, he would chop him so hard that he would be the first man with four nipples: two in the front and two in the back. Since Bischoff is not a man, he plans to get to him another way. Tonight, because he is Ric Flair, he will introduce a man who is one of the greatest wrestlers alive and a Horseman of yesterday and today: Barry Windham, whom Flair says Bischoff knows nothing about as Windham is an honest worker. Windham says Bischoff is about to find out that things in WCW are as they should be, and that he and Flair are about tradition. Suddenly, Eric Bischoff shows up and reminds Flair and Windham that he fired Windham years ago and would be glad to do it again, and tells Flair that he cannot hire anybody or use Ted Turner's money, while he can. Flair tells Bischoff he is using his money on what he wants to spend it on, and that Windham will tear up "Bischoff's girlfriend" tonight and take Miss Elizabeth downtown night. He tells Miss Elizabeth to get ready, because Barry Windham is in town.

Before the next match, Eddie Guerrero asks Rey Mysterio Jr. to be part of the Latino World Order due to his respect for him and how good he is. He makes Rey a deal: if he wins, Rey has to join the LWO. If Rey wins, he will let him be. Rey agrees to the deal.

Eddie Guerrero beats Rey Mysterio after Eddie's unnamed bodyguard distracts the referee. As this happens, Juventud Guerrera gets in the ring to help Rey with a springboard leg drop, but Juvi ends up accidentally hitting Rey instead. Eddie then gets the frog splash for the win.

We see Judy Bagwell at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, where she is currently in a hospital bed after Scott Steiner laid her out in an untelevised incident. He calls out her son Buff Bagwell for his actions last week, and asks what it is going to take to get him to stop and think about what he is doing. She wants Buff Bagwell gone and wants Marcus Bagwell back, the way he used to be, and says that Buff needs to stop.

Scott Putski vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. ends in a no-contest. During the match, it is reported by "Mean" Gene Okerlund that Bam Bam Bigelow - who is still employed by Extreme Championship Wrestling and is not part of WCW- has come out of a Cadillac. He breaks into Goldberg's dressing room, tears things up backstage and heads to the ring in an attempt to look for Goldberg. He gets in the ring and lays out Putski with a clothesline before doing the same to Chavo, and powerbombs Putski before tossing Chavo over the top rope. He then grabs a microphone and calls Goldberg out. Eric Bischoff and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon show up with local law enforcement and WCW security, and want Bigelow out of the arena. As police corner Bam Bam Bigelow, Goldberg shows up with security of his own, and runs into the ring. All the security forces in the ring have their hands full keeping both men apart. Bischoff then blames Dillon for the incident, and demands he see him in the back now.

Eric Bischoff fires WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon after the Goldberg/Bam Bam Bigelow incident. Dillon tells Bischoff he can "run this madhouse" any way he wants, and that he cannot fire him because he quits. Dillon then gets in a Cadillac and leaves.

Before the next match, Saturn mentions his match with Eddie Guerrero from a few weeks ago where Konnan shows up and asks him to take care of the Latino World Order. Saturn says Konnan only did this to plug himself, and challenges him to a match. Konnan shows up and tells Saturn he's not going to plug him; instead, he's going to "punk him." Shortly after Konnan does his pre-match promo, Saturn attacks Konnan from behind.

Saturn vs. Konnan ends in a no-contest. The Latino World Order shows up during the match. Also during the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Eric Bischoff outside of Goldberg's dressing room, and Bischoff says he fired J.J. Dillon for "screwing up everything that he touches" and "trying to follow in his footsteps." He says he will talk to Goldberg, and says that Bam Bam Bigelow is not an employee of WCW, nor will he be part of World War 3. He also says that Goldberg has better things to do than to take on any "Joe Blow" that challenges him. Goldberg suddenly comes out of his dressing room and forces a match with Bigelow tonight out of Bischoff by pinning Bischoff to the wall and demanding the match. Near the end of the match, La Parka holds down Saturn from the apron, but Konnan attacks La Parka. The LWO shows up and attacks Saturn, and when Konnan tries to help him, Saturn punches him before going after the LWO. Konnan tells Saturn that this is not over, and to get back in the ring. Saturn goes right after Konnan, and after a tackle, he throws Konnan's head against the steel steps and punches him in the back of the head. It takes referees, officials and WCW security to get Saturn off of Konnan.

Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

We see a video package documenting the recent events between Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.

Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell show up with their own referee, who has piercings and black and white paint on his head, a black-and-white striped referee shirt and black denim pants on, and a whistle in his mouth. Buff Bagwell says he and Scott do not like Wichita, Kansas, and also has their own referee. Buff says the difference between their referee and WCW referees is that their referee can count to three, and if they have him in the ring, Scott Steiner will be holding the World Tag Team titles. Scott and Buff then have their referee show the proper way to count to three. Scott then says he is not talking to "10,000 fat, corn-fed heffers" that the people in Wichita calls women. He is talking to the ten million women who watch him on TV, saying not to adjust their set because he looks this good and that there is nothing finer than Scott Steiner. When he lays them down so sweet, they will call him their sugar daddy, and when he gets them between the sheets and his body rocks their body, they'll know they've been with more than just a man, and in the morning, they will call him "Superman." He tells all the "freaks" out there that he is their hook-ups, and to "holla if you hear me." Scott Steiner then says that nWo Hollywood is stronger than blood, and when Buff gave him permission to take Judy Bagwell out, that proved to him that they are friends for life. Scott and Buff hugs, and their referee brings out a woman who happens to be Scott Steiner's mom. Scott Steiner returns the favor to Buff by having him knock his own mother out so the referee can count to three. Rick Steiner then shows up, and Scott, Buff and the referee flee the ring. Rick helps his mom up, removes the wig, and reveals that this is just a man dressed up as a woman, revealing this is not their mother at all. Buff says he would have done the same thing to Rick's real mother. All of a sudden, Scott Norton is holding Rick from behind, and Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell attack Rick. Scott then tells Rick he has laid executives and referees out, and that if Rick shows up at World War 3, he will end his career. Norton, Scott Steiner and Buff then pin Rick down so their referee counts to three.

Bobby Duncum Jr. beats Chris Jericho in his WCW debut by count-out after Jericho walks out of the match. Chris Jericho retains the WCW World Television Championship.

Secret Service agents are seen moving into place, then Hollywood Hogan shows up. Once again, a large American flag is unfurled, and red, white and blue baloons and confetti fall from the ceiling. Hogan says this week has been the greatest week of his life, as his family and friends could not believe how America embraced Hollywood and realizes Hogan is the only man who can run America. He thanks the press, the media, and each and every American and nWo-ite for embracing him and giving him his faith in letting him know that he is the man for the job. Hogan says he loves America and will lead it. His campaign manager, Eric Bischoff, has been quite busy tonight, and he is a little worried that with all the confusion, he might not be up to speed to answer the letters, cards and phone calls concerning his campaign, and for that he is proud to introduce a new person in the campaign who will do just that: his brand new intern, who looks suspiciously like Monica Lewinsky, who is led to the ring by head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger. Hogan says that his campaign team will not let the people down, and that American shall be the richest country, every child will have an education, and that America will be a peaceful place to live in. "Monica" is the first to congratulate Hogan, and says that everyone knows that a United States President loves a good cigar as she pulls one out of her blouse. Hogan and "Monica" then make out before "Monica" is escorted back to the back. Hogan then asks Eric Bischoff to come to the ring, and lets all the nWo-ites that the campaign trail is as solid as all the nWo-ites out there. He says that nWo Hollywood has talked about it in the back, and have concluded that they can handle professional wrestling and elected office. Bischoff shows up, and Hogan tells him he understands his concern for the safety of Goldberg. Hogan eases his concerns by saying that no matter which direction Goldberg flips or flops, he will be on top of it and he will take the WCW World Heavyweight Championship from him. Bischoff says he knows Hogan would never let the company down, and says that he always has and always will have faith in him to take care of business. Hogan then brings out Scott Hall, and Hogan says Scott Hall knows everyone is in this as a team, and Hall says that when you're nWo, you're nWo for life. He says it is not just a slogan and that they live it, and asks Bischoff where his head is at. Bischoff tells Hall he does not have to question his loyalty, especially after everything that he has done for the nWo and that this is not the time and the place. Hall says it is, and Bischoff says they will take care of the family business later...a lot later. He then tells Hall to head to the backso they can take care of business later, but Hall knocks out Bischoff. Hogan responds by beating up Hall, punching him in the face and choking him out with his boa. Kevin Nash runs into the ring to make the save for Hall, then Nash tells Hall he will see him on Sunday before leaving the ring.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Bret "The Hit Man" Hart by disqualification. During the match, Hart introduces a steel chair into the match, but Benoit punches it into his face as soon as Hart turns around. Benoit then tries to hit Hart with the chair, but referee Mickey Jay stops him from doing that, allowing Bret to hit Benoit from behind with a low blow. Hart then smashes the top of the chair into the arm of Benoit, ending the match. After the match, Bret continues to attack Benoit in the recently injured with the steel chair and shoves Mickey Jay to the side. Dean Malenko then rushes in and attacks Hart, saving Benoit and forcing Hart to retreat from the ring. As Malenko checks on Benoit, however, Hart runs back into the ring and blindsides Malenko before attacking Benoit again. Diamond Dallas Page shows up and fights Hart, sending him over the top rope and out of the ring. Hart tries to run away, but DDP is not done and sends Hart into the steel steps. Hart runs away, and asks Bret where he is going because he asked him to bring the United States title to him. Hart looks back for a moment, then heads back to the back. At this point, David Penzer holds the microphone for DDP. DDP says that when he thinks of Bret, he puts him on the same level as Hollywood Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and says they're all the same animal but just a different kind of scum. He knows that Hart called him out, knowing he was laid up, asking for the United States title, and tells him to come and get it. Bret does not show up. DDP then says it does not matter how many times he goes down, but how many times he gets back up, and he is up, back and jacked. He plans to take Bret with him, and before J.J. Dillon was fired, Dillon made a match between him and Bret for the US title at World War 3, and if Bret wants some, he can come get some.

Bam Bam Bigelow shows up and gets in the ring, as does Goldberg. Bigelow runs to the ramp as Goldberg's entrance pyro goes off, and both men brawl near the crowd until security and local law enforcement have to pull both men apart as the show ends.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for November 16, 1998

RAW

WWF owner Vince McMahon shows up with Shane McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter and The Big Boss Man. Vince and Shane are introduced as co-owners of the WWF. Vince brags that he and Shane proved that the person who said you can't fool all the people all of the day was a damn fool, and that a damn fool insists on doing things the hard way, is someone who embraces middle-class ethics and values, and someone who doesn't pucker up and kiss the boss' ass. Vince tells the crowd they kiss the boss' ass, but they don't kiss it enough. Vince then introduces someone who he believes is no damn fool and has always been his champion: The Rock. The Rock says his phone has been ringing off the hook all day long, and tells the crowd he never sold out; instead, he got ahead. Some people can call him "a kiss-ass,"as they are all unintelligent pieces of trailer park trash. The Rock tells the crowd they work their asses off day in, day out for minimum wage, while he had to do what he had to do to stand in the middle of the corporate ring and become WWF Champion. He tells the crowd they are no different from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and they can all have their morality, honesty, blood, sweat and tears, but with all that hard work, 50 cents could not buy them a coffee. He then addresses the "Die, Rocky, Die" and "Rocky Sucks" chants, saying he never forgot those chants and that the fans will never forget it as well, as he plans on raising "The Corporate Eyebrow," planting people with the Rock Bottom, and laying the smackdown on everyone's candy-ass with The Corporate Elbow. The Rock says he would be The People's Ass than ever kiss Vince's ass, but now he would kiss Vince's ass before he would kiss the people's ass. Vince then asks what it is like to kiss his ass. Shane says he likes it. The Rock agrees that Vince smells what The Rock is cooking. Vince then shows us video footage of how exactly he and everyone else fooled the fans on the TitanTron, but instead he gets live camera footage of Austin entering the arena. Vince is enraged, and demands Austin be removed from the TitanTron. He then says he is glad Austin is here, so he can see the footage of how they did it along with everyone else. We look at the footage of Shane telling Vince he hired Austin back from three weeks ago, then the steel cage match from two weeks ago when Shane confronted The Big Boss Man and gained Austin's trust. We then see footage of Shane confronted by The Big Boss Man last week, as well as medical staff tending to The Rock and Mankind getting a makeover (to which Vince replies by saying "you can't polish caca," followed by The Rock beating "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry to keep his job and get back in the Deadly Games Tournament, where Shane admits he sucked the people in before Vince got the then-People's Elbow. The Rock then brags about winning the Deadly Games Tournament, then Shane asks the production crew to replay the footage where "Stone Cold" Steve Austin got screwed. After this footage is re-shown, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up, and asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they believe The Rock is "a sorry sell-out son-of-a-bitch." Vince then reminds Austin that there is a clause in his new contract that unless Austin is provoked, he cannot lay a hand on him. Austin says he's got something bigger and more important than Vince, and asks the production crew to roll some footage from two weeks ago, where Shane McMahon told the crowd that Austin will get a shot at the WWF Championship. Vince says he overruled that on the same night, and that Austin got his shot at Survivor Series. Austin pulls out a legally binding contract which overrules the overruling, meaning that he has a shot at the WWF Championship tonight after all. Vince says the document is worthless, but Austin says 3rd District Court Judge Horn has ruled otherwise. We then get footage of Judge Mills Lane, who rules that the document is indeed legally binding despite written on formal pleading paper. He has reviewed everything, and finds that the document was signed November 2nd by Shane McMahon, who was part of the corporation and had a right to bind the corporation, declaring that Austin has a WWF Championship and there is nothing Vince can do about it.

D-Generation X ("Road Dogg" Jesse James, "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, X-Pac) beats The Oddities (Kurrgan, Golga, Giant Silva) after Shaggy 2 Dope accidentally takes down Golga behind the referee's back. The Insane Clown Posse (Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope) gets chewed out by The Oddities (Kurrgan, Golga, Giant Silva, Luna Vachon) on their way to the back. The Headbangers (Thrasher and Mosh) rush in and attack Road Dogg afterwards.

We see footage from moments ago, where an angry Mankind curses WWF owner Vince McMahon backstage in the darker recesses of the arena, where Mankind says he would not want to be in Vince's shoes as he is coming home.

WWF owner Vince McMahon talks with Shane McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco, WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter and The Big Boss Man backstage. He is already worried about the WWF Championship match, and does not want to be worried about Mankind, of whom he calls "an imbecile, but can also be a lunatic." Vince asks Boss Man to stick with him, and asks someone else to take care of Mankind. Pat is picked as he has known him the longest, and Vince tells him to remember that "he's gullible."

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock shows up. Shamrock makes it clear that he is not too happy about Survivor Series as he was screwed out of the WWF Championship. He would rather be fighting than talking, but this is the only way to get his point across. He says The Big Boss Man screwed him twice, and that he will not do it again as tonight, he challenges him to step in the ring with him, face-to-face and man-to-man. He also puts the Intercontinental Championship on the line to ensure he shows up, and tells Boss Man he awaits his answer.

Before the next match, Val Venis says they are in the Bluegrass State and the home of the Kentucky Derby. If the ladies want to cross the finish line in 1st place with "The Big Valbowski," all they have to do is hop aboard this stallion bareback.

Val Venis beats "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry. During the match, Chyna returns and distracts Mark Henry, who is made happy by her appearance. This allows Val Veni to roll up Mark Henry with a schoolboy pin to win the match. After the match, Henry says that his and Chyna's lawyers have had a lot of problems, but all he wants is for them to go out on a night out for dinner - with no sex involved - and recites a poem to show how much he wants her. Chyna just walks away.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is seen making coffee backstage.

Pat Patterson tells WWF owner Vince McMahon he cannot Mankind as cannot find the boiler room. Vince tells Pat Patterson he can't even find his ass. Gerald Brisco tells Vince he knows where the boiler room, and heads out to find Mankind.

Goldust and "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman beat Jeff Jarrett and The Blue Blazer. Blackman tries to take off The Blue Blazer's mask, but Jarrett attacks him from behind and Owen Hart joins in almost immediately, revealing that The Blue Blazer was not Owen during this match. Owen, Jarrett and the Blazer all attack Blackman briefly before retreating.

WWF owner Vince McMahon is talking to The Rock when Gerald Brisco shows up, saying he has heard weird noises in the boiler room. WWF Commisioner Sgt. Slaughter calls Brisco a wuss, and offers to head into the boiler room.

WWF owner Vince McMahon chews out WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, who says Mankind is out of his mind and that it will take multiple men to get him. Vince tells Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson and Slaughter to take care of Mankind.

WAR ZONE

Before the next match, The Godfather announces that Lexington, Kentucky has some of the best hos ever born, and gives Steven Regal the option of a night with his three hos or fighting him, knowing he can kick his ass. He also gives him a third choice "for the working man:" all three women for free. Regal says he would like nothing more to kick The Godfather's head in, but the last time he checked, he was Steven Regal and not Elton John. He picks the hos. The Godfather admits he did not think Regal would pick the hos, and then quotes Archie Bunker from All In The Family: "England ain't nothin' but a place full of fags." The Godfather and Steven Regal then brawl outside of the ring, and referees have to restore order.

Kane is seen backstage, attacking technicians in the loading bay.

WWF owner Vince McMahon asks The Big Boss Man to take care of "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock vs. The Big Boss Man ends in a double disqualification. During the match, both men attack referee Mike Chioda after he tells both men to stay off the throat in the corner, and Chioda calls for the bell. Referees and officials have to pull both men apart as they continue to fight each other. Shane McMahon and WWF owner Vince McMahon show up, and asks what Shamrock and Big Boss Man are doing. Vince says he knows Shamrock is dangerous and that he can use a man like him, as they are both a lot alike - coming from broken home, having to earn everything they ever got, and know the people don't care about them. Vince says he cares, and says he can give him the one thing both of them never had growing up: family. He says that family sticks together, and that every corporation needs a dangerous man. He asks Shamrock to "come on home." Shamrock shakes hands with Vince, then shakes hands with The Big Boss Man.

Three men try to get an autograph from Kane. Kane is about to choke slam one of them when the police show up.

The Brood (Gangrel and Edge) beat L.O.D. 2000 (Road Warrior Animal and Droz) by count-out, but the match ends in a very chaotic fashion. Road Warrior Hawk shows up and climbs up to the top of the TitanTron.

After the commercial break, Road Warrior Animal asks Road Warrior Hawk to come down peacefully after Hawk has threatened to jump off the TitanTron. Referees, officials and even Paul Ellering - their former manager - is there to talk him down. He admits he does not know how Hawk feels, but he and his family care about his life. He reminds him of a story he told them about his mother, but Hawk does not want to listen to anybody. Droz climbs up the TitanTron as he says that next year can be better than this year, and Hawk says Droz is the last person he wants to talk to. Animal asks Hawk not to move, and Hawk does not want Droz to touch him. Droz inadvertantly pushes Hawk off the edge, and Hawk falls. Everyone on stage rushes to the back.

Road Warrior Hawk is taken out of the building in an ambulance.

Michael Cole interviews Sable. Sable says the last three years were a wild ride, but last night was the greatest accomplishment of her career. She dedicates the WWF Women's Championship to all the fans who have made her who she is. Suddenly, Shane McMahon shows up and questions her decision to dedicate the championship to the fans and her statement that the fans made her, and says WWF owner Vince McMahon was the one who made Sable, as he has put an incredible investment in her for the last three years and made her a star. Sable says she is where she is because she worked damn hard for it, and that nobody gave her anything. Shane says that is what women just like her always do, and leaves. Sable tells Shane that the only thing he knows about real women are the ones he can buy, and tells him "this one ain't for sale." After this, it is announced that Road Warrior Hawk has been taken to a local hospital, and that Hawk is still breathing.

Pat Patterson, Gerald Brisco and WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter are seen wearing University of Kentucky football player gear as they look for Mankind in the boiler room. They find him, all right: Mankind assaults them all with a trash can lid and attacks them all with objects found all around the boiler room despite their protective gear.

Before the next match, WWF owners Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon arrive with "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock and The Big Boss Man. Vince says he is not happy about this WWF Championship match, and resents "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and the fact that he would associate himself with "legal eagles" would bring a contract into this ring. As far as he is concerned, last night was the last time Austin would ever come close to becoming WWF Champion, and that he had his shot and blew it. McMahon tells Austin he had better be right, as this will be his absolute last shot. He then introduces The Rock to the ring.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats The Rock by disqualification, but The Rock retains the WWF Championship. During the match, Mankind runs in and brawls with The Big Boss Man outside of the ring, and Mankind is held back as he tries to get his hands on WWF owner Vince McMahon. "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock gets some shots on Mankind as The Big Boss Man holds him up for Shamrock. Austin hits the Stone Cold Stunner and has the match won when Shamrock pulls the referee out of the ring. The Undertaker and Paul Bearer show up, and The Undertaker is holding a shovel in his hands. He smacks Austin with the shovel, and the match is over. The Undertaker is about to strike Austin with the shovel again when Paul Bearer stops him. Vince McMahon and The Rock are then seen heading to the back.

After the show goes off the air, Shane McMahon is showing off in the ring, flipping the middle finger with both hands when he turns around and gets hit with a Stone Cold Stunner by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. The Big Boss Man and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock get in the ring, but they both fall victim to a Stunner, too. Stone Cold then celebrates with a beer, and hands one to Earl Hebner, and they both stand in the corner and drink a cold one. Austin then heads to a stage, drinks another beer, and then pours it on himself before heading to the back.
