Raven is attacked by Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow outside of the arena in footage from earlier today and tossed into a dumpster.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
Eddie Guerrero shows up on Nitro for the first time in months since his automobile accident. We see some photos of the car that Eddie was thrown 100 feet from. Eddie says that he suffered a lacerated liver and a broken hip socket, and had to have reconstructive surgery done on his shin and ankle. He says it feels great to be back, and says he took wrestling for granted. He is now grateful to be able to walk again, and hopefully, get back in the ring again. Eddie Guerrero then guests on commentary.
Kidman beats Hak in a hardcore match by disqualification after Hugh Morrus interferes. During the match, Tank Abbott shows up with his own posse. He mentions the steel cage match between Sting and Rick Steiner tonight, and says both men do not know what hardcore is as he has fought in a cage more times than he can count. He says he will be the referee for that match, and he will be here and he will bring hell if he does not. Abbott and his posse then leave. After the match, Brian Knobbs shows up and attacks Hak with an aluminum garbage can before putting him through a table. We then see WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon on the phone. Flair asks for eight girls to be delivered to his hotel room before making sure that "Macho Man" Randy Savage's top rope elbow is banned. Dillon tells him that is indeed banned and that Flair will be the one to officially ban it anytime in the show that he wants. Flair goes so far as to say that it will be banned on all WCW programming.
Eddie Guerrero thanks everyone who prayed for him to get better, and also thanks WCW and Eric Bischoff for keeping him employed for the five months that he was down and out. He leaves the commentary table.
Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow show up. DDP says he doesn't get the people at all, and says they feel nothing. All he knows is that he tried to do the right thing after he injured Hollywood Hogan and apologized for it, saying it was the wrong thing to do. He tried to apologize, but all he got in return was Hogan knocking him out as he came walking towards the ring and running his mouth about how he is #1 on Hogan's hit parade. DDP says he and Bam Bam Bigelow are considering putting Hogan out permanently. They also brag about "taking out the trash" concerning their attack on Raven earlier today, and says they would rather face Raven and Saturn for the WCW World Tag Team Championships tonight and do it with a little East Coast attitude.
Mike Tenay tells Saturn and Kanyon about Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow's attack on Raven - who is now in the hospital - as well as DDP and Bigelow's challenge for the tag team titles tonight. Kanyon tells Tenay to go tell the Executive Committee to make the match official for tonight.
DJ Ran is seen at a turntable. Curt Hennig then guests on commentary again this week. He says that he heard what DJ Ran had to say about him, and says he is tired of rap music and Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr., and considers singing a country song to DJ Ran. He then heads to the aisle and calls out Bobby Duncum Jr., who shows up wearing a cowboy hat and hands him a hat of his own. Duncum and Hennig walk up to DJ Ran, and Hennig gives him until the count of three to leave. DJ Ran almost leaves, and Hennig is about to sing when Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr. show up. Konnan tells Hennig and Duncum are trying to "flex game where they ain't got none," and after Hennig says he can slap that smile off his face, this leads to a brief brawl that officials have to break up. Hennig says if they want a piece of him, he'll rip them a new one.
It is announced that Rey Mysterio and Konnan will face Curt Hennig and Bobby Duncum Jr. later tonight.
Van Hammer beats Evan Karagias.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. He says there is a big dispute between The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko), as Benoit wants to be free and Flair has "become a gelding." He says Malenko is tied up and having to clean up Flair's mess. He then asks Malenko to come out, and he shows up. Piper tells Malenko he thinks he is the greatest Cruiserweight Champion of all time and a great technical wrestler, but says everyone wants to know what is going on. Malenko grabs the microphone and says the reality is self-explanatory. He says that he and Benoit did not walk away from The Horsemen or Ric Flair. Instead, Ric Flair walked away from them. WCW President Flair shows up along with Arn Anderson, and Piper tells Flair and Anderson that Malenko has a point and that he wants to make it known to the public. Malenko tells Flair that for the last eight to ten months, he and Benoit had to sit in the back and listen to Flair feed his ego every night. He says that Flair does not get is that it is not about extravagant living anymore and that it is about passing the torch. Malenko says a lot of established wrestler doesn't get the fact that the newer wrestlers will have to be the ones to take WCW to the new millennium. Flair says he is glad Piper has a job as a microphone stand, and says that without him, there are no Horsemen, Benoits or Malenko, and until he can see anyone who can hold the torch, he's not passing it, and tells Malenko and Piper that he and Anderson are the big cheeses and to meet them head on. Malenko tells Anderson he put his heart and soul in the Horsemen, and that this is not what they talked about. Anderson says Malenko came to him, not the other way around, and said that if he was to come out of retirement, it was to bring the Horsemen back to the prominence it once held. He says wrestling is a man's sport performed by men, and that this disagreement can be patched up and that neither person has to pick up their ball and go home because a disagreement exists. Malenko says Anderson doesn't get it, as he was swearing night after night, as he made a commitment for the Horsemen while Flair was being committed. He says a week ago, he would have bent over backwards and watched Arn's back because he believed in him, but that was last week. Malenko leaves, and Anderson follows him. Piper tells Flair his cabinet is falling apart, and that he will see him in Baltimore. Flair attacks Piper from behind as he leaves, then rips his shirt off and chops and punches him. Flair then takes his own shirt off, and the two men brawl. Piper quickly gets the upper hand and punches Flair in the face multiple times before whipping Flair with his belt. Flair and Piper then start fighting outside of the ring, and Flair ends up retreating to the back.
Eric Bischoff guests on commentary for the next match.
Before the next match, Curt Hennig tries to sing a country song, but Rey Mysterio Jr. and Konnan drop kick him and Bobby Duncum Jr. out of the ring before Hennig can even sing one line.
Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr. beat Curt Hennig and Bobby Duncum Jr. when Duncum hits Konnan with a cowbell as Konnan has Hennig in the Tequila Sunrise. After the match, Duncum hogties Konnan with his rope, then Hennig knocks Rey out.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up. He says there is a rumor going around that Kevin Nash is not going to wait until The Great American Bash, as he is tired of Savage making him ridiculous by painting his face with lipstick and wants to fight him tonight. Savage says there is not one person in the arena tonight who believes that Nash can beat him. Madusa shows up as Savage continues to speak, and tells him Gorgeous George has seen Kevin Nash in the building. Savage says it's on and it's hit the fan, and he will treat Nash like a coward and push him back into the closet where he needs to stay.
It is revealed that Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow have laid Kanyon out backstage.
David Flair beats Erik Watts after WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair distracts the referee from the apron and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson hits Watts with a spinebuster.
Buff Bagwell talks with WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair in Flair's office, and asks for a match with "Macho Man" Randy Savage tonight. Flair says that he does not have the match, as he is not in Savage's league. He is placed in a match against Bobby Eaton later tonight, and if he can beat Eaton, he can prove that he is almost ready for Savage. Buff says that if Flair puts him in the ring with Eaton, Eaton will get hurt, and asks Flair if that is what he wants. Flair says yes. Buff Bagwell high-fives Flair and leaves.
Before the next match, "The Cat" Ernest Miller says he is here for only one reason: to whup somebody. He says he is sick and tired of Scott Norton running in on his matches, and calls Norton out. Norton shows up.
Ernest "The Cat" Miller beats Scott Norton after Sonny Onoo hands The Cat a crowbar and distracts the referee. The black-and-white nWo is seen watching Norton tear The Cat apart in the locker room, and when Norton loses, they immediately try to skip town.
When "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up for his next match, he calls out Kevin Nash, but a fake Kevin Nash - who is wearing a red sequined dress, red pumps and a pageant sash saying Miss Big Sexy '99" and is also much shorter than the real deal - shows up instead. Savage says that Nash has "come out of the closet." The fake Nash is also seen with a replica of the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats "Kevin Nash" to win the "WCW World Heavyweight Championship." Savage distracts the referee, then Madusa kicks the fake Nash and removes his shoes before Miss Madness hits him with a top rope hurricanrana. Savage then distracts the referee again along with Madusa and Miss Madness so Gorgeous George can hit Nash with a top rope elbow drop.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Buff Bagwell beats Bobby Eaton.
Before the next match, it is announced that Kanyon has received medical attention. Saturn says Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow only made him mad when they sent Raven and Kanyon to the hospital, and says they can do it two-on-one. When DDP and Bam Bam Bigelow show up and DDP tries to confirm what Saturn has just said, he says that Saturn is stupider than he looks.
Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow beat Saturn to become the WCW World Tag Team Champions! During the match, Kanyon runs to the ring with a hospital band on his left wrist, and Saturn tags him in. Unfortunately for Kanyon, he goes down after one discus punch from DDP.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage, Gorgeous George, Madusa and Miss Madness take a limousine out of the arena when an two sewer trucks blocks their path. The real Kevin Nash comes out of the second one and dumps a pipe full of sewage water from the top of the limousine into the limousine itself. Savage and the ladies have to get out of the limousine immediately. We then hear a message from Kevin Nash stating that this portion of Nitro was brought to us by Louis Septic Services (the name of the company on the second truck), "for all your Savage sewage needs."
DJ Ran announces the dropping of the steel cage for the next match.
Rick Steiner vs. Sting in a steel cage ends in a no-contest. During the match, special guest referee and UFC fighter Tank Abbott pushes Rick Steiner out of the corner, causing Sting to miss with the Stinger Splash in the corner. Abbott leaves the cage and walks out with his teammates as Rick Steiner tapes Sting to the top rope with athletic tape and continues to attack Sting as the show ends.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for May 17, 1999
A white limousine pulls up outside of the arena. Out of the back seat comes Asya, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, Diamond Dallas Page and Charles Robinson.
Charles Robinson approaches the office of the WCW President, and he replaces the name plate for "Rowdy" Roddy Piper with that of "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, saying this is as it should be.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows up with Asya, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Charles Robinson. Flair says he is here to make a statement tonight, but before he does, Anderson has words of wisdom for Raven and Perry Saturn. Anderson says he is not nuts and never has been, and says he has always told it like it is and has never made guarantees or promises. He says that The Four Horsemen (Flair, Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko) have worked really hard to win three world championships a short time back, and that WCW management tried to squash it. He plans to take the President as his most powerful and make a guarantee that Malenko and Benoit will bring the world tag team titles back where they belong to The Four Horsemen tonight on Nitro. Flair makes it clear that he is the President of WCW, and says Eric Bischoff has no right to walk into a business he is running and making decisions concerning the company because of it. He then tells Ted Turner that if he does not move Bischoff, he is coming "to get Fonda." and Fonda will ride Space Mountain all over the Turner empire. He says to learn to love it, as he is WCW President. He then announces that tonight, for the first time ever, he and Robinson will face "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Gorgeous George in a mixed tag team match, and says Savage and Gorgeous George are going down tonight. Flair then tells Bischoff jumped on a World title match and made a call that will not stand, and announces that tonight, Kevin Nash will defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page, and DDP is here tonight. He asks DDP to come to the ring, as he and his entourage are helping him bring the World title back home. DDP shows up, and says Flair's decision making is why he should be WCW President. He then says everyone knows that he has never cried over a finish, and if he got beat, he got beat. He then says that Flair was right and that he got screwed at the last pay-per-view. He then tells Nash that since he has Bischoff in his pocket, he has decided to bring some of his own boys on. He brings out Bam Bam Bigelow, who shows up in street clothes and tells DDP he has his back. DDP says that he will be a three-time, three-time, three-time champion of the world. Flair says this could be one of the all-time greatest Nitros, as he is the boss.
We hear from Eric Bischoff. He says he meant exactly what he said when he reversed the decision for "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at Slamboree. He says he and everybody worked hard to make WCW #1 in the world and stay there for 88 straight weeks. He admits that wrestling is now a little more competitive than he would like it to be, and that maybe he got a little bit complacent, maybe he wasn't paying as much attention and that maybe he was full of himself, but he has learned from his mistakes and believes that WCW will be #1 again as everyone in the company is committed. He says that he will do everything in his power to make WCW #1 again.
We hear from Eric Bischoff, who says that he did what he felt was right concerning "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at Slamboree, saying that Piper deserved that match. As for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match between Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page, anybody who saw that match knows that Nash clearly had DDP beat before "Macho Man" Randy Savage interfered. Once again, he did not consider if he was working in any official capacity, and says he was doing what he thought was right. He also says not to blame Nick Patrick, as he was trying to do the right thing and had the option of making the decision, which is final. He says that Nash deserves the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and that there should be no doubt in anyone's mind. If anyone high on the corporate ladder does not like, it does not matter, as the referee's decision is final.
We hear from Eric Bischoff again, who says a lot of things are going to change. He says he is looking at how he has conducted business, and says he has made both good and bad decisions. He says the key is to be able to be honest with yourself, realize you've made mistakes and do something about it. He does not expected to be welcomed back with open arms, but there is not much he can do to change that other than to change how he conducts himself and shape the company into what he wants it to be. He says he will do everything in his power, and in case he cannot become WCW President, he will do what he can to contribute to the comapny and help make it #1 again, as he is grateful for all the opportunities given to him in the company, and says he owes a lot to the people who work 10-14 hours a week to make it all possible. He says he will do all he can to contribute. He thanks all the people who gave him another shot, and says he understands if there are people who cannot find it in their hearts to forgive him.
A black limousine shows up, and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Eric Bischoff enter the building.
It is announced that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will not appear on a WCW program anytime soon due to how he quit the company. Hart is aware of Kevin Nash's challenge on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Friday night, is amused that "Jay Leno and the people with the show are now wrestling promoters", and will be on The Tonight Show Tuesday night to answer Nash's challenge.
Rey Mysterio Jr. retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Evan Karagias.
Charles Robinson, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko and Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker head to "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's office. Flair insists that he is still WCW President, and he puts Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker in a match against his son David Flair, and tells him to throw the match as soon as Anderson gives the signal. He also tells him that Charles Robinson will also be the referee for the match. If he does, he will take care of him by giving him an office job. Parker tells Flair he will do what needs to be done. After Parker leaves, Ric Flair calls David and Torrie Wilson out of his office, and he tells David Flair that he will be on the road to the world title and will face Buddy Lee Parker. He tells him how Parker will throw the match and give him the won to advance his career. Torrie tells Ric Flair that he had better keep his promise, and Ric Flair says that he will.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Booker T. Booker T says everybody knows what went down between him and Rick Steiner, but he is not crying over spilled milk and asking for a rematch, as he is calling Rick out. He tells Rick to get his gear on, as he has his on and is feeling a Harlem Hangover tonight. Booker T says he is a man on his own and that Stevie Ray has his own agenda, and all he cares about is getting the WCW Television Championship around his waist one more time as he is a true people's champion. He tells Rick to get in the ring with him, and that it is just business. Booker T says he started at the bottom and worked his way up to seven tag team titles and six television titles, and tells "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and WCW Executive Committee Chairman to do what they have to do to make the match official, and he says he will make it seven reigns with the Television title tonight.
David Flair beats Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker.
Before the next match, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair says he wants no excuses and wants "Macho Man" Randy Savage to bring Gorgeous George, Madusa and Miss Madness to the ring as what Gorgeous George has is a fraction of what Savage and Madusa are going to get. When they all show up, Gorgeous George is seen on crutches while Madusa is dressed for the ring. Savage tells Flair to get ready, and he will take him and Robinson all the way down. He won the battle, but did not lose the war, and says Flair will feel the madness and it will not feel good at all.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage and Madusa beat "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Little Nature Boy" Charles Robinson after Madusa keeps Flair out of the ring following the top rope elbow drop to Robinson.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper shows up with a clipboard in his hand. Piper insists that he is WCW President. He says he has been listening to "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, and says Flair has gone way over the edge. He says he has ten reasons Flair should not be running a gas station, much less WCW. He says he is broke, and asks how is he going to budget WCW if he has no money of his own. Piper then talks about a time 15 years ago in North Carolina, when he was sitting at a bar at the Hilton when Flair shows up in drag with a Dolly Patron wig and comedy breasts and danced all night and danced a little longer with some guy who looked like Barbra Striesand. He also says that he has Charles Robinson stalking RuPaul. He then says that Flair says "the Y2K problem is no problem" because Robinson has two tubes of jelly in his bag. He also says Flair thought "The Phanton Menace" was Hilary Clinton. He then says that Flair was once in the office naked chasing himself around the desk. He also says Ric Flair is Dennis Rodman's best friend as well as his marriage and sports counselor. Piper also says that when he sent Flair to the nuthouse, Flair met Dr. Kevorkian, and after ten minutes, Dr. Kevorkian was trying to stick the needle in his own arm. He says that Space Mountain has been dead for 15 years, and that Flair thinks Viagra is the world's biggest waterfalls. He also says one of Flair's old dates has said she would stand naked on an anthill than be in Ric Flair's hotel room for an hour as he talked about his World championships. Finally, according to The Nitro Girls, Flair has gone from "The 60-minute man" to "the 60-second scam." Piper then says he has been talking to Eric Bischoff, who has told him all kinds of Flair, and asks Brischoff to come to the ring so he can tell it all to the fans. Bischoff shows up, and Piper says he has wanted to punch him in the face and drag him around the ring until there was nothing left, and that all he has done has led to his hair turning gray. He reminds him of the time he fired Randy Anderson, and says he does not buy his apology. Bischoff says he has screwed up and made mistakes, and he apologizes to Piper and the fans for him. He does not blame Piper for not forgiving him, and tells him to judge him by what he does, not what he says. As Bischoff says he is committed to WCW, "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up with Madusa, Gorgeous George and Miss Madness '99. Savage says it is simple, and that by the end of the evening, he wants a title shot against Kevin Nash. He says Bischoff - whom he never liked - messed him up as he had somebody that owed him something. Piper says Savage will get his title shot, as he is the commissioner, and that he will have to wait. Savage says he does what he wants, and says he is not leaving until he gets a World title shot against Kevin Nash. Suddenly, Gorgeous George hits Piper wih one of her crutches, revealing that she is not even hurt, and Savage hits both Piper with a piledriver before body slamming Eric Bischoff. As he goes up top for the elbow drop, Kevin Nash gets in the ring. Savage leaves, but not before demanding a World title shot from Kevin Nash as he thinks Nash is nothing but an ass who has no guts. Savage also tells Nash to hand him the title just like he did to Hollywood Hogan. Nash tells Savage that he can see he's "used his American Express card on his dates," and if he wants the belt from him, he will have to pry it from his dead hands. Savage says that can be arranged and that he would rather take it from him that way.
Hak and Chastity show up. He trashes Cedar Rapids, Iowa and the crowd, saying something stinks in the town. He says that he is the most hardcore wrestler on the planet and the king of extreme, and has said this since he showed up in WCW. He says he proved at Uncensored when he beat Bam Bam Bigelow and Raven and became the hardcore champion, then beat Bam Bam Bigelow to an inch of his career in Minnesota when he called him out, and beat Kevin Nash to an inch of his career as well. He also called out Goldberg and beat him to an inch of his career. Suddenly, Fit Finley shows up on the video screen, and says he is sick of him calling himself the king of hardcore, and says where he comes from is hardcore. He then tells Hak to get his kendo stick ready, because he's on his way. When he shows up, Hak asks Finley if he knows what he is getting into, then says he might as well give him his last request and hands him the microphone. Finley proceeds to hit Hak in the forehead with it, starting an impromptu hardcore match.
Hak vs. Fit Finley is thrown out after Brian Knobbs shows up and attacks both men, starting a brawl. Finley chases Hak to the back with a chair, and Knobbs chases Finley with a broken table.
Booker T is seen down on the ground backstage. Rick Steiner then says that Booker T didn't want to come to the ring as he cannot win without Stevie Ray's help. He then issues an open challenge to anyone in the locker room, but Rick Steiner gets impatient and leaves. As he makes his way up the ramp, Sting shows up and answers the open challenge.
Rick Steiner vs. Sting ends in a no-contest. During the match, Scott Steiner shows up, and he and Rick surround the ring. Lex Luger gets in the ring to pair up with Sting, and keeps both Steiners out of the ring.
Curt Hennig beats Konnan. Before the match, Konnan gives a shout-out to Tommy Boy Records. During the match, Hennig shoves the referee, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up saying that Konnan is the first to feel the madness in his seek and destroy mission since "his boy" Kevin Nash does not have the guts to give him a World title shot. He tells Konnan to tell Nash what he said, and spits in his face. He says this is the way it is, as he does not need a reason for anything. Hennig then boots Konnan to the outside of the ring, and Savage attacks Konnan. Hennig then hits the Hennigplex for the win. After the match, Savage tells Konnan to tell Nash what he said, because it is only going to get worse from here.
Raven and Perry Saturn retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko). During the match, Kanyon gets on the apron, and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson hits Benoit with the tire iron. Malenko goes up top, but Kanyon pushes him off. Saturn catches Malenko and hits the Death Valley Driver to retain the tag team titles. Backstage, Raven, Saturn and Kanyon meet up with Bam Bam Bigelow.
Kevin Nash retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page by disqualification after Bam Bam Bigelow - who has been at ringside since shortly after the beginning of the match - and "Macho Man" Randy Savage interfere. Page, Savage and Bigelow triple-team Kevin Nash, then Savage brings out Madusa, Gorgeous George and Miss Madness '99 out as he puts lipstick on Nash's face. A fan gets in the ring, but he is promptly caught by security as Savage continues to pummel Nash and hit him with the top rope elbow drop.

Flair makes it clear that he is the President of WCW, and says Eric Bischoff has no right to walk into a business he is running and making decisions concerning the company because of it. He then tells Ted Turner that if he does not move Bischoff, he is coming "to get Fonda." and Fonda will ride Space Mountain all over the Turner empire. He says to learn to love it, as he is WCW President. He then announces that tonight, for the first time ever, he and Robinson will face "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Gorgeous George in a mixed tag team match, and says Savage and Gorgeous George are going down tonight. Flair then tells Bischoff jumped on a World title match and made a call that will not stand, and announces that tonight, Kevin Nash will defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page, and DDP is here tonight. He asks DDP to come to the ring, as he and his entourage are helping him bring the World title back home. DDP shows up, and says Flair's decision making is why he should be WCW President. He then says everyone knows that he has never cried over a finish, and if he got beat, he got beat. He then says that Flair was right and that he got screwed at the last pay-per-view. He then tells Nash that since he has Bischoff in his pocket, he has decided to bring some of his own boys on. He brings out Bam Bam Bigelow, who shows up in street clothes and tells DDP he has his back. DDP says that he will be a three-time, three-time, three-time champion of the world. Flair says this could be one of the all-time greatest Nitros, as he is the boss.
We hear from Eric Bischoff. He says he meant exactly what he said when he reversed the decision for "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at Slamboree. He says he and everybody worked hard to make WCW #1 in the world and stay there for 88 straight weeks. He admits that wrestling is now a little more competitive than he would like it to be, and that maybe he got a little bit complacent, maybe he wasn't paying as much attention and that maybe he was full of himself, but he has learned from his mistakes and believes that WCW will be #1 again as everyone in the company is committed. He says that he will do everything in his power to make WCW #1 again.
We hear from Eric Bischoff, who says that he did what he felt was right concerning "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at Slamboree, saying that Piper deserved that match. As for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match between Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page, anybody who saw that match knows that Nash clearly had DDP beat before "Macho Man" Randy Savage interfered. Once again, he did not consider if he was working in any official capacity, and says he was doing what he thought was right. He also says not to blame Nick Patrick, as he was trying to do the right thing and had the option of making the decision, which is final. He says that Nash deserves the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and that there should be no doubt in anyone's mind. If anyone high on the corporate ladder does not like, it does not matter, as the referee's decision is final.
We hear from Eric Bischoff again, who says a lot of things are going to change. He says he is looking at how he has conducted business, and says he has made both good and bad decisions. He says the key is to be able to be honest with yourself, realize you've made mistakes and do something about it. He does not expected to be welcomed back with open arms, but there is not much he can do to change that other than to change how he conducts himself and shape the company into what he wants it to be. He says he will do everything in his power, and in case he cannot become WCW President, he will do what he can to contribute to the comapny and help make it #1 again, as he is grateful for all the opportunities given to him in the company, and says he owes a lot to the people who work 10-14 hours a week to make it all possible. He says he will do all he can to contribute. He thanks all the people who gave him another shot, and says he understands if there are people who cannot find it in their hearts to forgive him.
A black limousine shows up, and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Eric Bischoff enter the building.
It is announced that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will not appear on a WCW program anytime soon due to how he quit the company. Hart is aware of Kevin Nash's challenge on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Friday night, is amused that "Jay Leno and the people with the show are now wrestling promoters", and will be on The Tonight Show Tuesday night to answer Nash's challenge.
Rey Mysterio Jr. retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Evan Karagias.
Charles Robinson, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko and Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker head to "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's office. Flair insists that he is still WCW President, and he puts Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker in a match against his son David Flair, and tells him to throw the match as soon as Anderson gives the signal. He also tells him that Charles Robinson will also be the referee for the match. If he does, he will take care of him by giving him an office job. Parker tells Flair he will do what needs to be done. After Parker leaves, Ric Flair calls David and Torrie Wilson out of his office, and he tells David Flair that he will be on the road to the world title and will face Buddy Lee Parker. He tells him how Parker will throw the match and give him the won to advance his career. Torrie tells Ric Flair that he had better keep his promise, and Ric Flair says that he will.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Booker T. Booker T says everybody knows what went down between him and Rick Steiner, but he is not crying over spilled milk and asking for a rematch, as he is calling Rick out. He tells Rick to get his gear on, as he has his on and is feeling a Harlem Hangover tonight. Booker T says he is a man on his own and that Stevie Ray has his own agenda, and all he cares about is getting the WCW Television Championship around his waist one more time as he is a true people's champion. He tells Rick to get in the ring with him, and that it is just business. Booker T says he started at the bottom and worked his way up to seven tag team titles and six television titles, and tells "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and WCW Executive Committee Chairman to do what they have to do to make the match official, and he says he will make it seven reigns with the Television title tonight.

Before the next match, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair says he wants no excuses and wants "Macho Man" Randy Savage to bring Gorgeous George, Madusa and Miss Madness to the ring as what Gorgeous George has is a fraction of what Savage and Madusa are going to get. When they all show up, Gorgeous George is seen on crutches while Madusa is dressed for the ring. Savage tells Flair to get ready, and he will take him and Robinson all the way down. He won the battle, but did not lose the war, and says Flair will feel the madness and it will not feel good at all.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage and Madusa beat "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Little Nature Boy" Charles Robinson after Madusa keeps Flair out of the ring following the top rope elbow drop to Robinson.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper shows up with a clipboard in his hand. Piper insists that he is WCW President. He says he has been listening to "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, and says Flair has gone way over the edge. He says he has ten reasons Flair should not be running a gas station, much less WCW. He says he is broke, and asks how is he going to budget WCW if he has no money of his own. Piper then talks about a time 15 years ago in North Carolina, when he was sitting at a bar at the Hilton when Flair shows up in drag with a Dolly Patron wig and comedy breasts and danced all night and danced a little longer with some guy who looked like Barbra Striesand. He also says that he has Charles Robinson stalking RuPaul. He then says that Flair says "the Y2K problem is no problem" because Robinson has two tubes of jelly in his bag. He also says Flair thought "The Phanton Menace" was Hilary Clinton. He then says that Flair was once in the office naked chasing himself around the desk. He also says Ric Flair is Dennis Rodman's best friend as well as his marriage and sports counselor. Piper also says that when he sent Flair to the nuthouse, Flair met Dr. Kevorkian, and after ten minutes, Dr. Kevorkian was trying to stick the needle in his own arm. He says that Space Mountain has been dead for 15 years, and that Flair thinks Viagra is the world's biggest waterfalls. He also says one of Flair's old dates has said she would stand naked on an anthill than be in Ric Flair's hotel room for an hour as he talked about his World championships. Finally, according to The Nitro Girls, Flair has gone from "The 60-minute man" to "the 60-second scam." Piper then says he has been talking to Eric Bischoff, who has told him all kinds of Flair, and asks Brischoff to come to the ring so he can tell it all to the fans. Bischoff shows up, and Piper says he has wanted to punch him in the face and drag him around the ring until there was nothing left, and that all he has done has led to his hair turning gray. He reminds him of the time he fired Randy Anderson, and says he does not buy his apology. Bischoff says he has screwed up and made mistakes, and he apologizes to Piper and the fans for him. He does not blame Piper for not forgiving him, and tells him to judge him by what he does, not what he says. As Bischoff says he is committed to WCW, "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up with Madusa, Gorgeous George and Miss Madness '99. Savage says it is simple, and that by the end of the evening, he wants a title shot against Kevin Nash. He says Bischoff - whom he never liked - messed him up as he had somebody that owed him something. Piper says Savage will get his title shot, as he is the commissioner, and that he will have to wait. Savage says he does what he wants, and says he is not leaving until he gets a World title shot against Kevin Nash. Suddenly, Gorgeous George hits Piper wih one of her crutches, revealing that she is not even hurt, and Savage hits both Piper with a piledriver before body slamming Eric Bischoff. As he goes up top for the elbow drop, Kevin Nash gets in the ring. Savage leaves, but not before demanding a World title shot from Kevin Nash as he thinks Nash is nothing but an ass who has no guts. Savage also tells Nash to hand him the title just like he did to Hollywood Hogan. Nash tells Savage that he can see he's "used his American Express card on his dates," and if he wants the belt from him, he will have to pry it from his dead hands. Savage says that can be arranged and that he would rather take it from him that way.
Hak and Chastity show up. He trashes Cedar Rapids, Iowa and the crowd, saying something stinks in the town. He says that he is the most hardcore wrestler on the planet and the king of extreme, and has said this since he showed up in WCW. He says he proved at Uncensored when he beat Bam Bam Bigelow and Raven and became the hardcore champion, then beat Bam Bam Bigelow to an inch of his career in Minnesota when he called him out, and beat Kevin Nash to an inch of his career as well. He also called out Goldberg and beat him to an inch of his career. Suddenly, Fit Finley shows up on the video screen, and says he is sick of him calling himself the king of hardcore, and says where he comes from is hardcore. He then tells Hak to get his kendo stick ready, because he's on his way. When he shows up, Hak asks Finley if he knows what he is getting into, then says he might as well give him his last request and hands him the microphone. Finley proceeds to hit Hak in the forehead with it, starting an impromptu hardcore match.
Hak vs. Fit Finley is thrown out after Brian Knobbs shows up and attacks both men, starting a brawl. Finley chases Hak to the back with a chair, and Knobbs chases Finley with a broken table.
Booker T is seen down on the ground backstage. Rick Steiner then says that Booker T didn't want to come to the ring as he cannot win without Stevie Ray's help. He then issues an open challenge to anyone in the locker room, but Rick Steiner gets impatient and leaves. As he makes his way up the ramp, Sting shows up and answers the open challenge.
Rick Steiner vs. Sting ends in a no-contest. During the match, Scott Steiner shows up, and he and Rick surround the ring. Lex Luger gets in the ring to pair up with Sting, and keeps both Steiners out of the ring.
Curt Hennig beats Konnan. Before the match, Konnan gives a shout-out to Tommy Boy Records. During the match, Hennig shoves the referee, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up saying that Konnan is the first to feel the madness in his seek and destroy mission since "his boy" Kevin Nash does not have the guts to give him a World title shot. He tells Konnan to tell Nash what he said, and spits in his face. He says this is the way it is, as he does not need a reason for anything. Hennig then boots Konnan to the outside of the ring, and Savage attacks Konnan. Hennig then hits the Hennigplex for the win. After the match, Savage tells Konnan to tell Nash what he said, because it is only going to get worse from here.
Raven and Perry Saturn retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko). During the match, Kanyon gets on the apron, and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson hits Benoit with the tire iron. Malenko goes up top, but Kanyon pushes him off. Saturn catches Malenko and hits the Death Valley Driver to retain the tag team titles. Backstage, Raven, Saturn and Kanyon meet up with Bam Bam Bigelow.
Kevin Nash retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page by disqualification after Bam Bam Bigelow - who has been at ringside since shortly after the beginning of the match - and "Macho Man" Randy Savage interfere. Page, Savage and Bigelow triple-team Kevin Nash, then Savage brings out Madusa, Gorgeous George and Miss Madness '99 out as he puts lipstick on Nash's face. A fan gets in the ring, but he is promptly caught by security as Savage continues to pummel Nash and hit him with the top rope elbow drop.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 15, 1999
It is announced that Kimberly has suffered facial lacerations, a mild concussion and no severe neck damage. She is currently convalescing in a secret location, as Diamond Dallas Page has placed her away from home where nobody can supposedly find her.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
"The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is seen attacking Disco Inferno, and Anderson is arrested and escorted out of the building by security.
Eric Bischoff is now chauffeur for WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who reminds Bischoff not to leave as he will be with him at all time.
Jerry Flynn beats Saturn. During the match, suspended referee Scott Dickinson shows up and distracts referee Scott Dickinson. This allows Chris Jericho to show up and try to attack Saturn, who hits him with a T-Bone suplex. The distraction allows Jerry Flynn to hit Saturn with a spin kick to the jaw, giving him a win.
WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is seen talking to executives in the limousine. Bischoff is paying attention to what they are saying, then one of the executives closes the divider behind Bischoff to tell Flair that he is doing a good job keeping Bischoff in line. Flair's cellphone goes of as he and the executives are talking about MADtv, Will Sasso and Bret "The Hit Man" Hart, and Flair finds out about "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson being arrested and ejected for attacking Disco Inferno. He says that he told Anderson to stay away from Disco. He tells the other person on the line to do what he can do, and to make sure that this incident does not get out of hand.
WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is still talking on the phone. He says that he specifically told "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson not to attack Disco Inferno, and that he wanted Disco taken off the show. Meanwhile, the executives notice that the road is bumpy, and ask Flair if he has been down this road before. Flair opens the divider and asks Eric Bischoff where they are going, and Bischoff says they are taking a detour and that they should make the arena in 20 minutes. The divider is closed again, and Bischoff gets on his own phone and calls somebody, saying that they will be there in 15 minutes and to save a cold one for him.
Blitzkrieg, Psychosis and Juventud Guerrera beat Super Calo, El Dandy and Hector Garza. Before the match, it is announced that Will Sasso of MADtv will face Bret "The Hit Man" Hart in a wrestling match later tonight. During the match, it is reported that Rey Mysterio Jr. was in an altercation with Lex Luger, and that Rey suffered a severe beating.
The woman in the hotel asks for a dry towel, a salad, cake and whipped cream. She then goes back to the shower.
A spotlight is beamed down on WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's limousine. A few Hummers are seen behind the limo, and masked men in black approach the limousine. One of the executives has a bad feeling, but Flair tells him it is fine. One of the men in black is Hollywood Hogan, and Flair fights him. The spotlight - obviously from a helicopter - is on Flair and the other masked man, and the Hummers start circling both men as they go at it. Another masked man hits Flair from behind, and several more masked men in black surround and attack Flair. One of them beat Flair with a foreign object, and another carries Hollywood's weight belt. Flair is then whipped with the weight belt.

Bret gets Sasso back into the ring and into the Sharpshooter, and Sasso quickly taps. Bret and Debra hug after the match.

They come to the ring through the crowd. Hogan asks the rest of the nWo to head to the back to have a party, then Hogan says he has no reason to worry about SuperBrawl as he brags about the attack on Flair, and says the way it should go down is with him beating Flair in his own hometown. Since he is the man who made wrestling and put it on the map as well as the greatest World champion of all time, he will give Flair one chance at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and he will give it to him tonight. Also, since Flair is "in the back putting his make-up on and trying to hide the gray," he is going to be an honoroable man and give him a ten-count before Flair loses by forfeit, and tells Flair to come out and feel the power of the nWo. All of a sudden, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper's music plays, and Piper shows up. He tells Hogan he says what he did to Flair, and that he is tired of him ruling the roost and calling the shots. He tells Hogan he is his reality check, and since he is still acting WCW Commissioner, Hogan is wrestling him tonight and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Hogan tells Piper he is going to get it, and the match begins.
"Rowdy" Roddy Piper beats Hollywood Hogan by disqualification after he is shocked with a taser by Scott Hall. Hollywood Hogan retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The rest of the nWo shows up and surround Piper. Hogan says he will give WCW President "THe Nature Boy" Ric Flair one more chance, and he will come to the back and tear him apart. Scott Hall then wears Piper's kilt in a mocerky fo Piper's heritage, and gives him the crotch chop before the rest of the nWo stomp on Piper.
A man in a cowboy hat finds WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and carries him to his pick-up truck. Flair keeps mouthing the word "Fairgrounds."
A laywer announces that Scott Steiner has filed a civil suit in Superior Court in Buffalo, New York for monetary damages deriving from an attack from Diamond Dallas Page last Monday. He has filed a multiple-count complaint against Page alleging he committed assault and battery, and alleges that he can no longer make a living from the injuries. He is suing DDP for one million dollars. DDP also faces felony charges and a potential 15-year prison sentence after being subpoenaed to appear in court later this week.
We see a vignette of Lex Luger and Miss Elizabeth brag about attacking Rey Mysterio Jr. and Konnan.
The main in the pick-up truck stops at a gas station called the Neon Cowboy when WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair stumbles out of the truck, and the man has to put him back in the truck.
The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko) beat Mike Enos and Scotty Riggs to stay alive in the tag team title tournament. Riggs replaces Bobby Duncum, Jr., who is unable to make it to the match.
The pick-up truck driver is seen with WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair again.
The woman in the hotel says she could stay in the hotel forever, but she knows the person behind the camera has to talk to "those people." She says they should do this again, and if this time was great, next time will be even better.
Hollywood Hogan shows up with the nWo as ring announcer Michael Buffer is about to announce the next match. Hogan says he will make it easy for The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Dean Malenko). He says that with Mongo out of the picture, the Horsemen are on the run. He says he and the rest of the nWo have seen Flair in his sequined robe run into his dressing room and lock himself in to hide from the nWo. Hogan gives Flair another chance to face him for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and this time, he gives him a 20-count. Hogan says this will be the last time he beats Flair, then tells referee Randy Anderson to start the count. Suddenly, the man in the pick-up truck shows up at the arena, and the man helps Flair up. Flair grabs an ax handle from the back of the truck, and staggers his way to the ring. Hogan and the rest of the nWo cannot believe it, mocking Flair and saying that he smells like cow paddies. Flair stumbles through the crowd and over the guard rail, and crawls his way through a ring full of nWo members. Benoit and Malenko get in the ring, but the numbers game proves to be too much and three of them are overwhelmed by the nWo. We then see Scott Hall arriving backstage, and looks at the camera and says "Now you see how it's done...don't mess it up." He then hands his taser to the person behind the camera. The show ends.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper beats Hollywood Hogan by disqualification after he is shocked with a taser by Scott Hall. Hollywood Hogan retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. The rest of the nWo shows up and surround Piper. Hogan says he will give WCW President "THe Nature Boy" Ric Flair one more chance, and he will come to the back and tear him apart. Scott Hall then wears Piper's kilt in a mocerky fo Piper's heritage, and gives him the crotch chop before the rest of the nWo stomp on Piper.
A man in a cowboy hat finds WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and carries him to his pick-up truck. Flair keeps mouthing the word "Fairgrounds."
A laywer announces that Scott Steiner has filed a civil suit in Superior Court in Buffalo, New York for monetary damages deriving from an attack from Diamond Dallas Page last Monday. He has filed a multiple-count complaint against Page alleging he committed assault and battery, and alleges that he can no longer make a living from the injuries. He is suing DDP for one million dollars. DDP also faces felony charges and a potential 15-year prison sentence after being subpoenaed to appear in court later this week.
We see a vignette of Lex Luger and Miss Elizabeth brag about attacking Rey Mysterio Jr. and Konnan.
The main in the pick-up truck stops at a gas station called the Neon Cowboy when WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair stumbles out of the truck, and the man has to put him back in the truck.
The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko) beat Mike Enos and Scotty Riggs to stay alive in the tag team title tournament. Riggs replaces Bobby Duncum, Jr., who is unable to make it to the match.
The pick-up truck driver is seen with WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair again.
The woman in the hotel says she could stay in the hotel forever, but she knows the person behind the camera has to talk to "those people." She says they should do this again, and if this time was great, next time will be even better.
Hollywood Hogan shows up with the nWo as ring announcer Michael Buffer is about to announce the next match. Hogan says he will make it easy for The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, Dean Malenko). He says that with Mongo out of the picture, the Horsemen are on the run. He says he and the rest of the nWo have seen Flair in his sequined robe run into his dressing room and lock himself in to hide from the nWo. Hogan gives Flair another chance to face him for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and this time, he gives him a 20-count. Hogan says this will be the last time he beats Flair, then tells referee Randy Anderson to start the count. Suddenly, the man in the pick-up truck shows up at the arena, and the man helps Flair up. Flair grabs an ax handle from the back of the truck, and staggers his way to the ring. Hogan and the rest of the nWo cannot believe it, mocking Flair and saying that he smells like cow paddies. Flair stumbles through the crowd and over the guard rail, and crawls his way through a ring full of nWo members. Benoit and Malenko get in the ring, but the numbers game proves to be too much and three of them are overwhelmed by the nWo. We then see Scott Hall arriving backstage, and looks at the camera and says "Now you see how it's done...don't mess it up." He then hands his taser to the person behind the camera. The show ends.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for December 7, 1998
It is announced that Goldberg and Bam Bam Bigelow will be wrestling tonight.
We see footage from moments ago where Scott Steiner attacks WCW's mascot, Wildcat Willy.
We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.
Scott Steiner shows up. He says that he's heard steers and queers come from Texas, and he doesn't see anyone "wearing dresses like "Rowdy" Roddy Piper," and says he's tired of women hanging out with all the rednecks. If they want to be hustled by some real muscle, they're ready to get put down by "Big Poppa Pump." He then says he is their hook-up, and to "holla if you hear me." He then tells the crowd to give a standing ovation for Hollywood Hogan, who has just retired, and then tells them to bow down to him, as Hogan retired with class and dignity as the greatest champion of all time. He says that he and Hogan are like brothers, and that Hogan is no fool, as he knew he was the only man who could fill his shoes and has the longest arms in the world and can get the job done. He then brags about laying out Scott Hall last week, and that tonight, he does what Hogan wants him to and break a leg, as it will be Hall's last night in professional wrestling.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Kendall Windham.

He calls Rey Mysterio Jr. "a selfish little turd" for signing a contract to wrestle behind his back, and says Rey will learn that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the self, and says Rey will be disciplined tonight much like how he disciplines his children at home. He calls out Silver King, whom he says will prove that he is worthy of wearing the Latino World Order by dealing with Rey tonight.

Goldberg shows up with members of the WCW Championship Committee when Kevin Nash shows up, saying Goldberg has a match with him and not Bam Bam Bigelow. After being told the match with Bam Bam Bigelow is official and one-night only, Kevin Nash says the match won't happen and tells Goldberg he had better focus on him and Starrcade. Goldberg tells Nash "there isn't a second where I don't dream of driving your ass right through that mat."
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.
Wrath beats The Renegade. (This ends up being The Renegade's final match in WCW, as he would be released soon after. Sadly, The Renegade, aka Rick Wilson, would commit suicide two months later at the age of 33.)
Baseball player Roger Clemens and his sons are in the crowd tonight.
Before the next match, Disco Inferno shows up and brings out Konnan, who has no idea what Disco Inferno's "blockbuster announcement" and threatens to drop him on his head on the stage. Disco then announces that Kevin Nash has allowed him into nWo Wolfpac. Konnan's facial expression immediately after hearing this news seems to debunk this.
Stevie Ray and Horace Hogan beat Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Disco Inferno by hitting Disco with a double-team spike piledriver as the ref is out of position dealing with Chavo.
Kevin Nash shows up, and says that if Goldberg thinks he is running the show, he is not. He does not care what Goldberg wants, as he signed for a match with him and that is the only match he is going to have. Nash then tells Bam Bam Bigelow and Goldberg that he is going to the back and putting his gear on, and if either of them think they are going to come into the ring without him in it, they are sadly mistaken, as he just made tonight a three-way dance.

Before the next match, Ernest "The Cat" Miller and Sonny Onoo show up, and Miller says he came here to beat the crap out of Saturn. Unfortunately, since he hurt his ankle getting out of his Cadillac, tonight is his lucky tonight. As Miller continues to talk, Glacier hits Saturn with a side kick from behind. Miller says that if Saturn wants some, to come get some, but the way it looks right now, he won't have to do anything and Glacier will do the work for him.
Glacier beats Saturn by disqualification when Ernest "The Cat" Miller interferes. Referee Scott Dickinson gets hit with a Death Valley Driver after Saturn hears this.

The Giant beats Scott Putski with a single choke slam. After the match, The Giant says that if Diamond Dallas Page wanted his attention, he's got it. He then tells the crowd that if they think DDP is the people's champion and is like Santa Clause, then he is like The Grinch. He challenges him to a match at Starrcade, saying it will be an easy payday for him and that he has a special present for him in the form of a choke slam.
Konnan is seen talking to the nWo Hollywood referee, threatening to "tape [him] up real good."
The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko) vs. Raven and Kanyon never takes place. Before the match, Raven refuses to take part in the next match, and leaves Kanyon high and dry once again even after he tells Raven he has been there for him and asks him to be there in return. Kanyon then announces that Raven is not teaming with him again, and he does not care because it is all Raven's fault that his name went down as the one to break the 20-year "Armstrong Curse," and that The Four Horsemen nearly beat him within an inch of his life. He refuses to wrestle tonight, as the odds against him are 2-on-1 - 2 1/2-on-1 if you count Anderson. He then says he will challenge either Benoit or Malenko on Thursday night, and tells them to be there. He runs into "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, and when Kanyon tells him to get out of the way, Anderson pulls out a crowbar and scares him into the ring. Benoit and Malenko get a few shots in, then Anderson scares Kanyon back out of the ring with the crowbar.

Flair namedrops local legends from Texas wrestling history, saying they bled one gallons and sweated five just so Bischoff could have a job. He says the Horsemen spent years two years trying to bottle it up, but at Starrcade, he will torture the respect out of Bischoff, and it will be like going to his funeral. In one night, the Horsemen will take his paycheck, his job, his life, his dignity and take back professional wrestling, as WCW is bigger than Bischoff will ever be.
Konnan retains the WCW World Television Championship against Booker T by disqualification. During the match, Stevie Ray shows up and hits Konnan in the back with a slapjack. Booker T is about to strike Stevie Ray, and dares him to go ahead and do it. He tells Booker T that hitting him with a slapjack is what he should have been doing, and to think about nWo Hollywood.
Before the next match, Scott Hall says he has heard what Scott Steiner has had to say about putting him out of wrestling, and says he is too stupid to quit. He calls Scott Steiner out, saying that if he wants him, don't bring it, sing it. Scott Steiner shows up, but his referee does not follow him to the ring. Scott Steiner wants to know where he is, thinking Scott Hall has something to do with this. The nWo referee shows up all wrapped up in tape, and referee Mickey Jay, who is right behind him, pushes him to the ground before entering the ring.
Scott Hall vs. Scott Steiner ends with nWo Hollywood attacking Scott Hall while Steiner chases referee Mickey Jay out of the ring. Lex Luger and Konnan show up and take on nWo Hollywood, but the numbers game proves too great as The Giant shows up before Scott Steiner puts Scott Hall in the Steiner Recliner. Suddenly, Diamond Dallas Page shows up with a steel chair, clearing the ring out as he smacks the steel chair into The Giant.

He tells DDP to stay out of his way, and tells him to go ahead and fight the Giant, but if DDP gets in his way again, he will excellently execute him. Bret says everyone has written him off as a bag of bones heading for the glue factory, but the fact of the matter is that he's just getting started, and tells the locker room to take a good look at the United States title, because he has proved himself one more time.
Bam Bam Bigelow and Kevin Nash immediately go at it in the ring. Goldberg runs to the ring, giving Roger Clemens a high-five backstage on the way there, and all three men have a brawl. Referees, officials, local law enforcement and arena security all have to hold back all three men.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for November 16, 1998
The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.
A motorcade of limousines and police escorts arrives at the arena. Once again, Secret Service agents ask for the camera crew to step back.
Juventud Guerrera beats Kidman to become the WCW Cruiserweight Champion! Kidman personally hands Juvi the belt and raises his hand in a show of respect after the match.
Before the next match, Raven says that when he was a child, just like Judy Bagwell, his mom used to tell him where to go, what to do and when to do it. He is an adult now, and WCW is not going to tell him when to wrestle, who to wrestle or how to do it. He tells Wrath he can have this match without him. Kanyon grabs the microphone and asks Raven to wrestle the match, telling him to snap out of it as nobody gets more airtime without wrestling than he does. Raven insists on not wrestling, and Kanyon decides to take his place in the match, even though he is supposed to wrestle Glacier in the next match. After Kanyon asks "Who's better than Kanyon," Wrath immediately hits him from behind and puts him in the Meltdown. Since the bell never rang, the match never happened, and Wrath leaves. But as Glacier shows up and Wrath leaves, and Wrath turns around and follows him. Wrath then gets back in the ring and puts Glacier in the Meltdown.
After the commercial break, Kanyon and Glacier are still down in the center of the ring, and Wrath has already left. Referee Mickey Jay is still there, and he calls for the bell. Kanyon manages to go for the pinfall attempt just before the ten-count.
Kanyon beats Glacier.

Sonny Onoo beats El Gringo after Ernest "The Cat" Miller shows up as the referee is focused on Sonny Onoo and lays out El Gringo - who unmasks himself to reveal he is Kaz Hayashi after Onoo tells him he paid him to get in the ring with him- and tells Onoo to get back in the ring and pin him.

Stevie Ray and Horace Hogan beat The Four Horsemen (Dean Malenko and Steve "Mongo" McMichael). After "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson beats up Vincent at ringside - allowing Stevie Ray to hit Mongo with a flapjack - Anderson hits Stevie Ray with a tire iron. Head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger gets on the apron, and demands Anderson hand over the tire iron.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He says that "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is heading to jail courtesy of Eric "No guts, no gonads" Bischoff. As for Steve "Mongo" McMichael, he is all man and he is a Horseman. He says tradition, reality and life are the difference between himself and Bischoff, and if Bischoff was a man, he would chop him so hard that he would be the first man with four nipples: two in the front and two in the back. Since Bischoff is not a man, he plans to get to him another way. Tonight, because he is Ric Flair, he will introduce a man who is one of the greatest wrestlers alive and a Horseman of yesterday and today: Barry Windham, whom Flair says Bischoff knows nothing about as Windham is an honest worker. Windham says Bischoff is about to find out that things in WCW are as they should be, and that he and Flair are about tradition. Suddenly, Eric Bischoff shows up and reminds Flair and Windham that he fired Windham years ago and would be glad to do it again, and tells Flair that he cannot hire anybody or use Ted Turner's money, while he can. Eddie Guerrero beats Rey Mysterio after Eddie's unnamed bodyguard distracts the referee. As this happens, Juventud Guerrera gets in the ring to help Rey with a springboard leg drop, but Juvi ends up accidentally hitting Rey instead. Eddie then gets the frog splash for the win.
We see Judy Bagwell at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, where she is currently in a hospital bed after Scott Steiner laid her out in an untelevised incident. He calls out her son Buff Bagwell for his actions last week, and asks what it is going to take to get him to stop and think about what he is doing. She wants Buff Bagwell gone and wants Marcus Bagwell back, the way he used to be, and says that Buff needs to stop.
Scott Putski vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. ends in a no-contest. During the match, it is reported by "Mean" Gene Okerlund that Bam Bam Bigelow - who is still employed by Extreme Championship Wrestling and is not part of WCW- has come out of a Cadillac. He breaks into Goldberg's dressing room, tears things up backstage and heads to the ring in an attempt to look for Goldberg. He gets in the ring and lays out Putski with a clothesline before doing the same to Chavo, and powerbombs Putski before tossing Chavo over the top rope. He then grabs a microphone and calls Goldberg out. Eric Bischoff and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon show up with local law enforcement and WCW security, and want Bigelow out of the arena. As police corner Bam Bam Bigelow, Goldberg shows up with security of his own, and runs into the ring. All the security forces in the ring have their hands full keeping both men apart. Bischoff then blames Dillon for the incident, and demands he see him in the back now.

Saturn says Konnan only did this to plug himself, and challenges him to a match. Konnan shows up and tells Saturn he's not going to plug him; instead, he's going to "punk him." Shortly after Konnan does his pre-match promo, Saturn attacks Konnan from behind.

He also says that Goldberg has better things to do than to take on any "Joe Blow" that challenges him. Goldberg suddenly comes out of his dressing room and forces a match with Bigelow tonight out of Bischoff by pinning Bischoff to the wall and demanding the match. Near the end of the match, La Parka holds down Saturn from the apron, but Konnan attacks La Parka. The LWO shows up and attacks Saturn, and when Konnan tries to help him, Saturn punches him before going after the LWO. Konnan tells Saturn that this is not over, and to get back in the ring. Saturn goes right after Konnan, and after a tackle, he throws Konnan's head against the steel steps and punches him in the back of the head. It takes referees, officials and WCW security to get Saturn off of Konnan.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the third hour.

Buff Bagwell says he and Scott do not like Wichita, Kansas, and also has their own referee. Buff says the difference between their referee and WCW referees is that their referee can count to three, and if they have him in the ring, Scott Steiner will be holding the World Tag Team titles. Scott and Buff then have their referee show the proper way to count to three. Scott then says he is not talking to "10,000 fat, corn-fed heffers" that the people in Wichita calls women. He is talking to the ten million women who watch him on TV, saying not to adjust their set because he looks this good and that there is nothing finer than Scott Steiner. When he lays them down so sweet, they will call him their sugar daddy, and when he gets them between the sheets and his body rocks their body, they'll know they've been with more than just a man, and in the morning, they will call him "Superman." He tells all the "freaks" out there that he is their hook-ups, and to "holla if you hear me." Scott Steiner then says that nWo Hollywood is stronger than blood, and when Buff gave him permission to take Judy Bagwell out, that proved to him that they are friends for life. Scott and Buff hugs, and their referee brings out a woman who happens to be Scott Steiner's mom. Scott Steiner returns the favor to Buff by having him knock his own mother out so the referee can count to three. Rick Steiner then shows up, and Scott, Buff and the referee flee the ring. Rick helps his mom up, removes the wig, and reveals that this is just a man dressed up as a woman, revealing this is not their mother at all. Buff says he would have done the same thing to Rick's real mother. All of a sudden, Scott Norton is holding Rick from behind, and Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell attack Rick. Scott then tells Rick he has laid executives and referees out, and that if Rick shows up at World War 3, he will end his career. Norton, Scott Steiner and Buff then pin Rick down so their referee counts to three.
Bobby Duncum Jr. beats Chris Jericho in his WCW debut by count-out after Jericho walks out of the match. Chris Jericho retains the WCW World Television Championship.
Secret Service agents are seen moving into place, then Hollywood Hogan shows up. Once again, a large American flag is unfurled, and red, white and blue baloons and confetti fall from the ceiling. Hogan says this week has been the greatest week of his life, as his family and friends could not believe how America embraced Hollywood and realizes Hogan is the only man who can run America. He thanks the press, the media, and each and every American and nWo-ite for embracing him and giving him his faith in letting him know that he is the man for the job. Hogan says he loves America and will lead it. His campaign manager, Eric Bischoff, has been quite busy tonight, and he is a little worried that with all the confusion, he might not be up to speed to answer the letters, cards and phone calls concerning his campaign, and for that he is proud to introduce a new person in the campaign who will do just that: his brand new intern, who looks suspiciously like Monica Lewinsky, who is led to the ring by head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger. Hogan says that his campaign team will not let the people down, and that American shall be the richest country, every child will have an education, and that America will be a peaceful place to live in. "Monica" is the first to congratulate Hogan, and says that everyone knows that a United States President loves a good cigar as she pulls one out of her blouse. Hogan and "Monica" then make out before "Monica" is escorted back to the back. Hogan then asks Eric Bischoff to come to the ring, and lets all the nWo-ites that the campaign trail is as solid as all the nWo-ites out there. He says that nWo Hollywood has talked about it in the back, and have concluded that they can handle professional wrestling and elected office. Bischoff shows up, and Hogan tells him he understands his concern for the safety of Goldberg. Hogan eases his concerns by saying that no matter which direction Goldberg flips or flops, he will be on top of it and he will take the WCW World Heavyweight Championship from him. Bischoff says he knows Hogan would never let the company down, and says that he always has and always will have faith in him to take care of business. Hogan then brings out Scott Hall, and Hogan says Scott Hall knows everyone is in this as a team, and Hall says that when you're nWo, you're nWo for life. He says it is not just a slogan and that they live it, and asks Bischoff where his head is at. Bischoff tells Hall he does not have to question his loyalty, especially after everything that he has done for the nWo and that this is not the time and the place. Hall says it is, and Bischoff says they will take care of the family business later...a lot later. He then tells Hall to head to the backso they can take care of business later, but Hall knocks out Bischoff. Hogan responds by beating up Hall, punching him in the face and choking him out with his boa. Kevin Nash runs into the ring to make the save for Hall, then Nash tells Hall he will see him on Sunday before leaving the ring.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Bret "The Hit Man" Hart by disqualification. During the match, Hart introduces a steel chair into the match, but Benoit punches it into his face as soon as Hart turns around. Benoit then tries to hit Hart with the chair, but referee Mickey Jay stops him from doing that, allowing Bret to hit Benoit from behind with a low blow. Hart then smashes the top of the chair into the arm of Benoit, ending the match. After the match, Bret continues to attack Benoit in the recently injured with the steel chair and shoves Mickey Jay to the side. Dean Malenko then rushes in and attacks Hart, saving Benoit and forcing Hart to retreat from the ring. As Malenko checks on Benoit, however, Hart runs back into the ring and blindsides Malenko before attacking Benoit again. Diamond Dallas Page shows up and fights Hart, sending him over the top rope and out of the ring. Hart tries to run away, but DDP is not done and sends Hart into the steel steps. Hart runs away, and asks Bret where he is going because he asked him to bring the United States title to him. Hart looks back for a moment, then heads back to the back. At this point, David Penzer holds the microphone for DDP. DDP says that when he thinks of Bret, he puts him on the same level as Hollywood Hogan and "Macho Man" Randy Savage, and says they're all the same animal but just a different kind of scum. He knows that Hart called him out, knowing he was laid up, asking for the United States title, and tells him to come and get it. Bret does not show up. DDP then says it does not matter how many times he goes down, but how many times he gets back up, and he is up, back and jacked. He plans to take Bret with him, and before J.J. Dillon was fired, Dillon made a match between him and Bret for the US title at World War 3, and if Bret wants some, he can come get some.
Bam Bam Bigelow shows up and gets in the ring, as does Goldberg. Bigelow runs to the ramp as Goldberg's entrance pyro goes off, and both men brawl near the crowd until security and local law enforcement have to pull both men apart as the show ends.
A motorcade of limousines and police escorts arrives at the arena. Once again, Secret Service agents ask for the camera crew to step back.
Juventud Guerrera beats Kidman to become the WCW Cruiserweight Champion! Kidman personally hands Juvi the belt and raises his hand in a show of respect after the match.
Before the next match, Raven says that when he was a child, just like Judy Bagwell, his mom used to tell him where to go, what to do and when to do it. He is an adult now, and WCW is not going to tell him when to wrestle, who to wrestle or how to do it. He tells Wrath he can have this match without him. Kanyon grabs the microphone and asks Raven to wrestle the match, telling him to snap out of it as nobody gets more airtime without wrestling than he does. Raven insists on not wrestling, and Kanyon decides to take his place in the match, even though he is supposed to wrestle Glacier in the next match. After Kanyon asks "Who's better than Kanyon," Wrath immediately hits him from behind and puts him in the Meltdown. Since the bell never rang, the match never happened, and Wrath leaves. But as Glacier shows up and Wrath leaves, and Wrath turns around and follows him. Wrath then gets back in the ring and puts Glacier in the Meltdown.
After the commercial break, Kanyon and Glacier are still down in the center of the ring, and Wrath has already left. Referee Mickey Jay is still there, and he calls for the bell. Kanyon manages to go for the pinfall attempt just before the ten-count.

Sonny Onoo beats El Gringo after Ernest "The Cat" Miller shows up as the referee is focused on Sonny Onoo and lays out El Gringo - who unmasks himself to reveal he is Kaz Hayashi after Onoo tells him he paid him to get in the ring with him- and tells Onoo to get back in the ring and pin him.

Stevie Ray and Horace Hogan beat The Four Horsemen (Dean Malenko and Steve "Mongo" McMichael). After "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson beats up Vincent at ringside - allowing Stevie Ray to hit Mongo with a flapjack - Anderson hits Stevie Ray with a tire iron. Head of WCW Security Doug Dellinger gets on the apron, and demands Anderson hand over the tire iron.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour. It is announced that "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson has been escorted out of the building due to the use of the tire iron, and that Steve "Mongo" McMichael has been taken to a local hospital after being hit in the head with a slapjack by Stevie Ray.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. He says that "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is heading to jail courtesy of Eric "No guts, no gonads" Bischoff. As for Steve "Mongo" McMichael, he is all man and he is a Horseman. He says tradition, reality and life are the difference between himself and Bischoff, and if Bischoff was a man, he would chop him so hard that he would be the first man with four nipples: two in the front and two in the back. Since Bischoff is not a man, he plans to get to him another way. Tonight, because he is Ric Flair, he will introduce a man who is one of the greatest wrestlers alive and a Horseman of yesterday and today: Barry Windham, whom Flair says Bischoff knows nothing about as Windham is an honest worker. Nitro-Glyercin - Monday Nitro recap for May 18, 1998
Note: Tonight's episode is one hour long due to the NBA Playoffs.
Eric Bischoff is lowered into the ring, seated on his motorcycle while wearing a crown on his head. Bischoff says it is so good to be king, and as he ponders his future in professional wrestling, he has to look back at the past. As he looks back at the past 100 weeks, he realizes that right now, his professional television record is 98-2. He says that's not good enough as his professional wrestling record is 2-0, having defeated "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and WWF owner Vince McMahon. He says this is a shame, as even though he wanted to do it in the ring, it just wasn't going to happen. He says he did what he could and called Vince out like a man, but Vince McMahon never showed up. Now he must look to the future, and what it holds for him is a record better than Goldberg's, and that it is time to chase the dream, which started for him last night. He thanks the fans for being a part of one of the greatest nights in his life, and thanks everyone for being here tonight.

We see footage of Saturn looking into a camera as he is verbally confronting Glacier for claiming the superkick as his own Cryonic kick, questioning and even doubting that Glacier is a martial arts master, and saying people like Glacier are giving like him a bad name. He tells Glacier to watch him do a superkick correctly, and dares Glacier to stop him.

Last night, he says he wouldn't be a referee again for all the tea in China after what happened last night at Slamboree, and still believes "Macho Man" Randy Savage attacked him from behind, not Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. He calls Savage out, and Savage shows up wanting to know if Piper has a problem him while telling him that what happened last night doesn't sit too well with him. Piper says he is not the kind of guy to apologize, and says he had a chance not only to referee the match but to watch the footage of last night's match. He had no idea that "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan interfered in the match, and he did not know that Bret hit him in the back of the head. He is not letting the results of last night sit and reverses them, awarding the match to Savage by disqualification. All of a sudden, Bret shows up and tells Piper he can't put a loss in his column and accuses Piper of being in cahoots with Savage, calling them both "gutless." Savage tells Bret to get in the ring so they can finish their business from last night, and Piper says he'll referee. Bret refuses, saying this is a potential two-on-one attack, and Hogan, The Disciple and Eric Bischoff stop Bret before he can get in the ring. Hogan tells Piper and Savage they've bit off more than they can chew, and says he has heard his name along with some derogatory remarks. He offers to team up with Bret and face them at The Great American Bash, which Bret is okay with. Piper wants the match right now, and Hogan tells him he's got itright now. Bischoff and The Disciple have to stop Hogan and Bret from getting in the ring.

He tells Chris Jericho that tonight was only the beginning of his quest, not the end, as the little bit of hurt he dished out to him from sullying his family name was enough to fire him back up again. He says Jericho did his best, but when he spoke about his late father, it didn't get over with him, and now Jericho will wish when all is done that he stayed home and that he never mentioned his family. Malenko then says to his father "This one's for you."
We then see some footage from last night of Chris Jericho losing his cool backstage after losing the WW Cruiserweight Championship, saying it is all a conspiracy from WCW and that he is still the champion as he throws a temper tantrum.

Page says he can only think of a quote by the late Dick Murdoch, saying that if he knew how he did it, he probably doesn't think he could. All he knows is that he loves doing it, and he does it for the fans that jack him up. He has his sights on only one thing: the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He hopes "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan has it, as he hasn't forgotten what he's done to him in the last 15 months, and in case Hogan's forgotten, he can connect the dots for him.
The black-and-white NWO ("Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, The Giant, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, Vincent, Brian Adams, The Disciple) shows up along with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart. Hogan says he has proven to everyone out there that he and the nWo, without a doubt, are the most supreme power in professional wrestling. After last night, if there was ever a doubt that he would be out there all alone and nobody would stick with him, everyone knows how great he is, and everyone in the building is here because of him. Where he goes, the money, the talent in professional wrestling and the greatness goes. If there was any doubt in anybody's mind to anything he's laid out, set in stone and made part of the nWo bible, there is one more fact that should prove his power: he turned Scott Hall against Kevin Nash. He introduces Scott Hall to the ring, then Bischoff calls Sting out, saying it's decision time for him. Sting shows up, and The Giant meets up with him halfway up the aisle only for Sting to spit in his face. The Giant then chokes Sting out from behind and punches him to close out the show, but he is soon confronted by Kevin Nash, who is wielding a lead pipe as he helps Sting up.
Eric Bischoff is lowered into the ring, seated on his motorcycle while wearing a crown on his head. Bischoff says it is so good to be king, and as he ponders his future in professional wrestling, he has to look back at the past. As he looks back at the past 100 weeks, he realizes that right now, his professional television record is 98-2. He says that's not good enough as his professional wrestling record is 2-0, having defeated "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and WWF owner Vince McMahon. He says this is a shame, as even though he wanted to do it in the ring, it just wasn't going to happen. He says he did what he could and called Vince out like a man, but Vince McMahon never showed up. Now he must look to the future, and what it holds for him is a record better than Goldberg's, and that it is time to chase the dream, which started for him last night. He thanks the fans for being a part of one of the greatest nights in his life, and thanks everyone for being here tonight.

We see footage of Saturn looking into a camera as he is verbally confronting Glacier for claiming the superkick as his own Cryonic kick, questioning and even doubting that Glacier is a martial arts master, and saying people like Glacier are giving like him a bad name. He tells Glacier to watch him do a superkick correctly, and dares Glacier to stop him.
Saturn beats Psychosis with the Rings of Saturn.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for May 14, 1998
We hear from Mando Guerrero, Eddie Guerrero's brother and Chavo Guerrero Jr.'s uncle, who says that Eddie and Chavo grew up together and that Eddie is currently leading the third generation of Guerreros. He feels Eddie is going to town on Chavo, and that this bet is dividing the Guerrero family. He cannot understand why Eddie is keeping Chavo under his shadow, especially since the family loves the sport, and says that Eddie is going about this the wrong way. Mando says he is trying to accept what is happening, but he cannot.
Before the next match, Eddie Guerrero says that the Guerrero family is distraught and want him to be more lenient to Chavo Guerrero Jr. He says that he has done just that and hand-picked a suitable opponent for Chavo who is about the same height and weight: Reese, who is clearly taller and heavier than Chavo. Eddie begs Chavo not to embarrass the Guerrero family, and to do his best and show what he can do. He also tells him that what happened Monday night will not happen again.
Reese quickly beats Chavo Guerrero Jr. After the match, Eddie Guerrero smacks Chavo with his towel and chews him out as Ultimo Dragon heads to the ring, and Chavo inadvertently shoves Eddie into Ultimo Dragon, who puts Eddie in the Dragon Sleeper. Chavo walks away, and referees show up to try to get Ultimo Dragon to break the hold.
This Saturday night on WCW Saturday Night: "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan! Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Fit Finley! Yuji Nagata vs. Goldberg!
Raven shows up with four riot control officers. Raven says he is sick and tired of hearing about Diamond Dallas Page, and informs DDP that he is not Wyatt Earp, this is not Dodge City and he is not some outlaw he can "backjump and string up like Josie Wales." He tells DDP that if he wants to bring his noose and fight, then he has left Raven's Flock in the back so they can go one-on-one. He continues to call out DDP, and DDP shows up from out of the crows with a bullrope around his neck. The riot control officers move into place, but DDP leaps over them and onto Raven. The riot squad then attack DDP and hold him so that Raven can hit DDP with an Evenflow DDT. Raven then ties the bullrope around DDP's neck and sends him over the top rope in an attempt to hang him.
It is announced that Goldberg is in a Gauntlet Match against Raven's Flock at Slamboree, and if he cannot win the Gauntlet Match, the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship will be awarded back to Raven.
Despite interference by Ronnie Rage, Fit Finley retains the WCW World Television Championship against Kenny Kaos.
Goldberg beats Sick Boy. After the match, Riggs tries to attack Goldberg from behind, but Goldberg makes quick work of him and the rest of Raven's Flock thinks twice before going after Goldberg.
Before the next match, Kidman gives "Gentleman" Chris Adams a choice between losing to the Rings of Saturn or the Death Valley Driver. Suddenly, Van Hammer tries to get in the ring only to be stopped by WCW security and pushed back to the back, and Kidman and Saturn decide that Adams will lose to the Death Valley Driver.

"The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit beats Ronnie Rage with the Crippler Crossface.
Eric Bischoff shows up. Bischoff talks about his challenge to WWF owner Vince McMahon from last Monday night, as well as McMahon whining about being invited to where Bischoff is. Bischoff then says he just got a letter from McMahon's attorney Jerry McDivett of Kirpatrick & Lockhart, which he reads. The letter states that McMahon will not be appearing at Slamboree and that Bischoff has no authority to suggest that he will do so. It also states that McMahon is one of Titan Sports' leading television personalities and is responsible for some of its highest ratings ever. Nevertheless, Bischoff says the invitation is still open and that security will be looking for Vince McMahon outside of the venue, ready to take him to his dressing room should he show up, even though Bischoff says Vince doesn't "have the guts" and that Vince's attorney has stated that he will not be here.
Before the next match, Kevin Nash does not show up with Scott Hall. Nash says Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan will not allow Hall to be on live television, but they cannot stop Hall from being at Slamboree on Sunday. He then asks if he is looking incredibly sexy tonight, and says he is like Brad Pitt except with a lot more meat on his bones before bringing out "a confidant of The Wolfpac:" "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. Dusty says that Bischoff and Hogan are attempting to crack the Wolfpac and that Hall will be at Slamboree. As for tonight, he will stand in counsel with Kevin Nash.
Kevin Nash beats Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) after "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes makes himself part of the match, beating up Johnny Grunge outside of the ring after dragging him out of the ring while Nash hits Rocco Rock with a Jackknife Power Bomb, then hitting Rocco Rock with an elbow drop.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Sting ends with Bret "The Hit Man" Hart getting into the ring with a steel chair. Savage takes out Bret Hart, but when he goes for a top rope elbow drop, The Giant runs in and catches Savage. Kevin Nash makes his way into the ring and hits The Giant with a steel chair, but Sting takes a steel chair and smacks it into Nash's back. The Giant then grabs a microphone and says that Sting probably wants to know what he is doing, and says he has made a decision to walk in as partners at Slamboree. He then says that if they win the tag team titles, then Sting will have to make a decision. The Giant then pulls out a black-and-white nWo shirt and hands it to Sting, and Sting looks at the shirt before looking at The Giant, who leaves the ring as Lex Luger gets on the apron to talk to Sting in an attempt to reason with him.

Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for March 12, 1998
The Giant shows up to start tonight's show. He wants to know where Kevin Nash is, as he has not seen him around lately after it became an even playing field. Tonight, if the nWo has the guts, he will take them on single-handedly and by himself. He says that if they are as tough as they say they are, he will be slim pickings for Nash at Uncensored; if not, Nash will have hell to pay. Suddenly, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth show up, and Savage asks The Giant if he is hearing what he is thinking he is hearing before saying that if The Giant gets rid of Kevin Nash, it will leave "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan alone in the steel cage with him. He then says that with Hogan gone, the madness will get to business and he will get his hands on the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Suddenly, Sting shows up and tells Savage it is his title, not "the title," but Savage warns Sting that with the right guy in the right place and the right time, there is no telling what will happen when the madness gets out of control. Sting tells Savage this is the right place and the right time and that he is the right guy, and tonight is good with him. Savage accepts the challenge.
Before the next match, Raven tells Brad Armstrong that tonight, they are scheduled to do battle; however, he advises him that discretion is the better part of valor. Raven tells Armstrong he understands his pain and frustration, and remembers how Armstrong was Rookie of the year and one-half of the tag team champions, and says that since then, his career has descended into mediocrity. Raven says he is aware of the "Armstrong Curse," and says the sins of the father are visited upon the son. He understands his respect for his father, "Bullet" Bob Armstrong, but the bookers in WCW were jealous of him and took it out on Brad. He tells Armstrong to give in to his hate, anger and frustration, as he feels his pain. He then hits Brad Armstrong with an Evenflow DDT and pins him while saying "Quoth the Raven, nevermore." Raven beats Brad Armstrong.
Tony Schiavone interviews Chris Jericho, who shows up wearing Juventud Guerrera's mask and Rey Mysterio Jr.'s T-shirt, on the stage. Jericho says he feels pretty good tonight, and tells Dean Malenko that if he wants a shot at the WCW Cruiserweight Championship, he will put the title on the line tonight. Jericho then says he is not only the man of 1,004 holds; he is also the collector of trophies, as he has Juventud Guerrera's mask, the WCW Cruiserweight Championship and Rey Mysterio Jr.'s T-shirt. He plans to beat Malenko with the Texas Cloverleaf - Malenko's own hold - and when he does, he hopes Malenko will change the name of it to the "Canadian Jericho Leaf." He then says he and everyone knows that Malenko will never beat him for the title again.

Eddie says that last Monday night, his nephew Chavo Guerrero Jr. had a chance to become a champion, but he dropped the ball like always and disgraced the Guerrero name. As a result, he has to come back out and raise the family name back up to the top. As Eddie continues to complain about Chavo, Chavo shows up and asks Eddie if he has something to say. Eddie says he has tried beating Chavo up, dragging his face all over the mat and handpicking opponents to move him up the ladder, but nothing has worked. He then says they should settle this man-to-man in the ring, and if he wins, Chavo has to do things the way he says, to whom he says and how he says, as he is going to change him from a loser to a winner. Chavo accepts on the condition that if he loses, Eddie had to do things "the Guerrero way" with honor, integrity and respect. Eddie accepts, and Chavo tells him to get in the ring right now.
Eddie Guerrero beats Chavo Guerrero Jr. with a kick to the groin prior to the top rope frog splash. As per pre-match stipulation, Chavo must now do whateve Eddie Guerrero tells him to. During the match, it is announced that Dean Malenko has accepted Chris Jericho's challenge for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship for later tonight.
Eric Bischoff, Scott Hall and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up. Bischoff says there is "dumb, dumber and mega-dumb," and that The Giant is "mega-dumb." Hogan says that when he heard The Giant (whom he calls "Fee-Fi-Fo-Dumb") challenge the entire nWo, he knew the nWo was coming to the Thanksgiving celebration and that they would all be fighting over The Giant like parts of a Thanksgiving turkey. Scott Hall tells The Giant he did not think it was possible, but that he is as dumb as he looks and that he will find out what happens when you mess with the nWo. He then tells Hogan the Thanksgiving feast is not over yet, because at the end of the night, Sting will have his hands full with him while "Macho Man" will be in the steel cage with Hogan. He says he will be watching Savage vs. Sting tonight, and that the nWo hates controversy and that they all just want to get along. Hogan says that after picking The Giant's bones, he and Hall will be on vacation as they watch Sting and Savage wrestle, because they will get rid of Sting and Savage once and for all.

Rude says his original intent was to collect a hefty bounty place on Bret "The Hit Man" Hart's head by the WWF, but after hanging with the New World Order for a while and hooking up with Hennig, he has come to realize that is not about money; it is about self-gratification. Hennig says Bret had an opportunity to join the nWo, but he chose WCW, and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan has sent the message to eliminate him. Hennig says that the people will see one of the best wrestling matches in a long time as he is a good wrestler, but there is a difference between being good and being great, and that when you talk about him and Rude beating up people since eighth grade along with Scott Norton, they have never lost a fight. Rude says WCW will be "Hart-less" next week on Nitro, as he and Hennig have purchased a round-trip ticket to Hades and back for Bret.

Norton attacks Rick from behind, and Lex Luger and Rick Steiner fight off both Scott Steiner and Scott Norton until the latter team retreats.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship ends with Scott Hall attacking Sting and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan attacking Savage earlier. When Savage and Sting fight them off, they send out the rest of the nWo, and as the nWo regroup, Sting puts Savage and himself on a harness and they both escape to the rafters to end the show.
Before the next match, Raven tells Brad Armstrong that tonight, they are scheduled to do battle; however, he advises him that discretion is the better part of valor. Raven tells Armstrong he understands his pain and frustration, and remembers how Armstrong was Rookie of the year and one-half of the tag team champions, and says that since then, his career has descended into mediocrity. Raven says he is aware of the "Armstrong Curse," and says the sins of the father are visited upon the son. He understands his respect for his father, "Bullet" Bob Armstrong, but the bookers in WCW were jealous of him and took it out on Brad. He tells Armstrong to give in to his hate, anger and frustration, as he feels his pain. He then hits Brad Armstrong with an Evenflow DDT and pins him while saying "Quoth the Raven, nevermore." Raven beats Brad Armstrong.

Jericho then says he is not only the man of 1,004 holds; he is also the collector of trophies, as he has Juventud Guerrera's mask, the WCW Cruiserweight Championship and Rey Mysterio Jr.'s T-shirt. He plans to beat Malenko with the Texas Cloverleaf - Malenko's own hold - and when he does, he hopes Malenko will change the name of it to the "Canadian Jericho Leaf." He then says he and everyone knows that Malenko will never beat him for the title again.

Tony Schiavone interviews Eddie Guerrero on the stage. Eddie says that last Monday night, his nephew Chavo Guerrero Jr. had a chance to become a champion, but he dropped the ball like always and disgraced the Guerrero name. As a result, he has to come back out and raise the family name back up to the top. As Eddie continues to complain about Chavo, Chavo shows up and asks Eddie if he has something to say. Eddie says he has tried beating Chavo up, dragging his face all over the mat and handpicking opponents to move him up the ladder, but nothing has worked. He then says they should settle this man-to-man in the ring, and if he wins, Chavo has to do things the way he says, to whom he says and how he says, as he is going to change him from a loser to a winner. Chavo accepts on the condition that if he loses, Eddie had to do things "the Guerrero way" with honor, integrity and respect. Eddie accepts, and Chavo tells him to get in the ring right now.
Eddie Guerrero beats Chavo Guerrero Jr. with a kick to the groin prior to the top rope frog splash. As per pre-match stipulation, Chavo must now do whateve Eddie Guerrero tells him to. During the match, it is announced that Dean Malenko has accepted Chris Jericho's challenge for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship for later tonight.
Eric Bischoff, Scott Hall and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up. Bischoff says there is "dumb, dumber and mega-dumb," and that The Giant is "mega-dumb." Hogan says that when he heard The Giant (whom he calls "Fee-Fi-Fo-Dumb") challenge the entire nWo, he knew the nWo was coming to the Thanksgiving celebration and that they would all be fighting over The Giant like parts of a Thanksgiving turkey. Scott Hall tells The Giant he did not think it was possible, but that he is as dumb as he looks and that he will find out what happens when you mess with the nWo. He then tells Hogan the Thanksgiving feast is not over yet, because at the end of the night, Sting will have his hands full with him while "Macho Man" will be in the steel cage with Hogan. He says he will be watching Savage vs. Sting tonight, and that the nWo hates controversy and that they all just want to get along. Hogan says that after picking The Giant's bones, he and Hall will be on vacation as they watch Sting and Savage wrestle, because they will get rid of Sting and Savage once and for all.

We see footage from earlier today where Chris Jericho is about to interviewed outside of the arena by Mike Tenay only for the New World Order to run out of the building and attack "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Lex Luger.
Bill Goldberg beats Fit Finley.
Psychosis beats Chavo Guerrero Jr.
Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up. Bischoff says that in this world, there are people who just do not believe, but tonight, he knows that Hogan will put all of the controversy to rest. Hogan says he hates controversy, and now that everything is copacetic and that "Macho Man" Randy Savage has seen "the nWo light," he hopes that Sting is at his best tonight when Savage drops the elbow from the top rope on him, as Savage has the whole nWo behind him and he is at the top of his game. He hopes Sting fights for his life, as it is just him and Sting this Sunday. He asks Savage to save him a piece of Sting so that when he beats him, it will be etched in stone for eternity. He also wants it to be known that nobody was robbed after what happened at Starrcade, as he and referee Nick Patrick were both robbed and everybody in the nWo wants Nick Patrick to be the referee for the World title match at SuperBrawl VIII. Hogan wants Nick Patrick to count the pinfall on Sting, and he makes it known that with the World title around his waist again, the nWo will be just too sweet.

Mike Tenay tries to interview Lex Luger about the parking lot attack, but Lex Luger gets angry and tries to chase after Tenay as he is being taped up.
Juventud Guerrera beats Kidman. After the match, Chris Jericho runs into the ring and attacks Juventud. He tries to take the man's mask off, but when he does, it is revealed that Juventud is wearing another mask underneath. Juventud then hits Jericho with a missile drop kick before chasing him to the back.
Before the next match, Kevin Nash says that he has not seen The Giant since Souled Out, and he tells him to be at SuperBrawl VIII so that he can announce he has retired from professional wrestling at the hands of "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash. He also gives a shout-out to Syxx.
Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom beat The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) by disqualification after Kevin Nash punches referee Mickey Jay before hitting Wayne Bloom with a Jackknife Power Bomb. After the match, WCW security is waiting for Nash, who plays around with security before allowing himself to be handcuffed and taken to the back.

Rick Rude says that to claim to be the best there was, the best there is and the best there ever will be is to make a very bold statement, and last Monday night, Curt single-handedly eliminated Bret "The Hit Man" Hart from all three categories. He then asks Curt why he would choose Bret to pick on. Hennig says Bret has been walking around talking about how good he is. Suddenly, The British Bulldog and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart show up, and Neidhart and Bulldog challenge Hennig and Adams to a match. Both teams brawl almost immediately, and this brawl becomes an impromptu match.

He then announces that the match between Savage and Sting is not going to happen as Savage has realized it is much better to run with the pack in nWo and he does not want to destroy Sting tonight, as Sting has been left for him. He then announces that everyone will have to watch SuperBrawl VIII to see him beat Sting. He also says that even though Sting is advertised for tonight and in the building, there is no way he will show his face with the whole nWo in the ring. Sting runs in almost immediately and lays out the rest of the nWo single-handedly. When he goes for Hogan, Hogan runs, but when the nWo gets the upper hand, he gets back in. Mike Tenay interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says his match with "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit tonight is about competition, as great competitors rise to great levels through great competition. He expects nothing less from Benoit than being totally focused and "jacked to the ceiling," as everyone knows that when Benoit is "jacked to the moon," he is "one of the baddest SOB's on the planet" and that is when he is at his best, which is how he wants him. He then says he wants the match because of his respect for Benoit, because the fans want to see it, and because he wants to compete against the best. He then says everyone will see who the best is later tonight.
Villano IV, Villano V and Silver King beat Chavo Guerrero Jr., Lizmark Jr. and Super Calo after Psychosis shows up as referee Mickey Jay is arguing with one of the Villanos and hits Chavo with a top rope guillotine leg drop before rolling Silver King on top of Chavo.
"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes kicks Lee Marshall off the commentary table for the next match.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Buff Bagwell and Konnan by disqualification after Scott Hall pushes Rick Steiner into the back of Scott Steiner. After the match, Scott Steiner thinks Rick attacked him on purpose, and Ted DiBiase has to tell him what happened.
Raven beats Marty Jannetty. During the match, members of Raven's Flock can be seen in the front row.

Saturn beats Disco Inferno with the Rings of Saturn. During the match, Disco Inferno hits the Chart Buster, but Kidman jumps the guardrail and puts one of Saturn's feet on the bottom rope during the pinfall. Saturn hits a standing side kick, but Disco kicks out from that. Saturn ends up winning with the Rings of Saturn after Kidman pushes Saturn down and onto the back of Disco. After the match, Booker T gets in the ring and brawls with Saturn, and quickly gets the upper hand.
Mike Tenay interviews suspended referee Nick Patrick. He says it has been a week since WCW allowed him to tell his side of the story, and asks the fans if he made the right call at Starrcade. After accusing the fans of being brainwashed by the announcers, he then says he has gotten off the phone with his lawyers, and announces that next week on Nitro, he will be reinstated as head referee of WCW on the fact that he has never gotten a hearing, saying WCW Executive Committee Chairman never set one up because his lawyers would drag skeletons out of the closet that he was not want drug out.
Before the next match, Scott Hall admits he is not the smartest guy in town, but he still has not figured out how he does not get a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Souled Out even though he won the World War 3 Match. He says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper might rip him and the fans off, but The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) pride themselves on being the fans' champions. He then says that if The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) want another shot at the tag team titles, they've got it.

Mike Tenay interviews Diamond Dallas Page. DDP says his match with "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit tonight is about competition, as great competitors rise to great levels through great competition. He expects nothing less from Benoit than being totally focused and "jacked to the ceiling," as everyone knows that when Benoit is "jacked to the moon," he is "one of the baddest SOB's on the planet" and that is when he is at his best, which is how he wants him. He then says he wants the match because of his respect for Benoit, because the fans want to see it, and because he wants to compete against the best. He then says everyone will see who the best is later tonight.
Villano IV, Villano V and Silver King beat Chavo Guerrero Jr., Lizmark Jr. and Super Calo after Psychosis shows up as referee Mickey Jay is arguing with one of the Villanos and hits Chavo with a top rope guillotine leg drop before rolling Silver King on top of Chavo.
"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes kicks Lee Marshall off the commentary table for the next match.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Buff Bagwell and Konnan by disqualification after Scott Hall pushes Rick Steiner into the back of Scott Steiner. After the match, Scott Steiner thinks Rick attacked him on purpose, and Ted DiBiase has to tell him what happened.
Raven beats Marty Jannetty. During the match, members of Raven's Flock can be seen in the front row.
We see a video package for The Giant.
Saturn beats Disco Inferno with the Rings of Saturn. During the match, Disco Inferno hits the Chart Buster, but Kidman jumps the guardrail and puts one of Saturn's feet on the bottom rope during the pinfall. Saturn hits a standing side kick, but Disco kicks out from that. Saturn ends up winning with the Rings of Saturn after Kidman pushes Saturn down and onto the back of Disco. After the match, Booker T gets in the ring and brawls with Saturn, and quickly gets the upper hand.
Mike Tenay interviews suspended referee Nick Patrick. He says it has been a week since WCW allowed him to tell his side of the story, and asks the fans if he made the right call at Starrcade. After accusing the fans of being brainwashed by the announcers, he then says he has gotten off the phone with his lawyers, and announces that next week on Nitro, he will be reinstated as head referee of WCW on the fact that he has never gotten a hearing, saying WCW Executive Committee Chairman never set one up because his lawyers would drag skeletons out of the closet that he was not want drug out.
Before the next match, Scott Hall admits he is not the smartest guy in town, but he still has not figured out how he does not get a shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Souled Out even though he won the World War 3 Match. He says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper might rip him and the fans off, but The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) pride themselves on being the fans' champions. He then says that if The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) want another shot at the tag team titles, they've got it.
Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart beats Louie Spicolli by disqualification after Scott Hall attacks Neidhart for choking Spicolli out with a foreign object. After the match, The British Bulldog shows up and hits Spicolli with a running powerslam. Thunderstruck - Thunder recap for January 29, 1998
After only three episodes, the fourth episode debuts a new look with a lot of metallic-looking elements. Ventilation shafts can be seen in the background as part of the stage, and various rooftop elements can be seen at the side of the stage during the show. The detailed apron that is painted to look like a wall made of stones is gone; replaced by a simple gray apron and mat with the Thunder logo on the sides.
Diamond Dallas Page retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Sick Boy after lifting Sick Boy up into the air before hitting the Diamond Cutter. Kidman and Lodi of Raven's Flock are seen in the front row during the match (it is revealed later in the show that Scotty Riggs and Van Hammer are there with them). After the match, Kidman and Lodi consider jumping the guardrail, but Scotty Riggs hits Lodi to make him reconsider, allowing Diamond Dallas Page to leave through the crowd in celebration.
Mike Tenay interviews WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon. Dillon says it would be an understatement to say he was shocked and appalled by the blatant disregard for rules and authority displayed by Kevin Nash on Nitro. He says the Jackknife Power Bomb was banned for good reason and that the Executive Committee means business, and announces that WCW has levied a fine of $50,000 against Nash. He hopes that this is the first and last time anyone is fined for performing the move, and also hopes it will wipe the smirk off Nash's face. Dillon also admits he has suspicions as to who will be paying the fine, and says that people who run in Hollywood circle know that there are budgets to everything. He says that if enough fines are levied, then the Executive Committee will get the people's attention and prove that they mean business.
Meng beats "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan by pinfall with the Tongan Death Grip. At one point in the match, Duggan yanks the coat off of Jimmy Hart and drapes it over Meng's face before punching him a few times. Later on in the match, Jimmy Hart grabs Duggan's 2x4 and holds on to the referee to try to toss it to Meng. Duggan grabs the 2x4 instead and breaks it over Meng's back, but it only brings Meng to his knees and does not knock him out. After Duggan punches Jimmy Hart off the apron, Meng locks Duggan in the Tongan Death Grip as soon as he turns around. Meng pins Duggan to the mat with the hold to get the win.

Bill Goldberg beats Yuji Nagata. After the match, Sonny Onoo tries to attack Goldberg from behind, but Goldberg turns around and scares him off.
Scott Hall shows up. After taking a survey to see who came for WCW and for The New World Order, he reminds everyone that he won World War 3 in the midst of the drama between "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Sting, and verbally blasts "Rowdy" Roddy Piper for "coming down in a dress" and telling him his dream of winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship won't come true. He then says where he comes from, it is not how many times one goes down but how many times one gets back up, and that he his coming for Piper and WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon. He then introduces "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, who makes his way to the ring. Dusty tells the crowd to pay attention, and says that in 1981, corporate America tried to tear down what he helped build: the tradition of professional wrestling. He says that he talked to the corporate powers that be, and he told them to take their suits and shove them. Afterwards, he was moved down to color commentary, and after carrying Tony Schiavone for so many years, he got sick and tired of it. It was then that Eric Bischoff, whom he calls "a man of vision," eased in, and The New World Order became the soundboard for professional wrestling as we know it. He says that the nWo is why people watch television, go to the arenas, and help everybody make a living in WCW. Scott Hall then says that when you are nWo, you are nWo for life, and Dusty tells "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko and "the marks on the Internet" that there will be no comeback, and tells WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon not to tell the nWo what to do, as they will do what they want when they want to, how they want to and to whomever they want to do it. He also says that if someone much smaller than Kevin Nash cannot defend themselves against Nash, then they should not get in the ring with Nash. He also tells Syxx, who is still currently out with an injury, that he is just "too sweet."
It is announced that WCW Nitro is now available on Sony PlayStation wherever video games are sold.

Disco Inferno takes advantage of the situation by wriggling out of the Outsider's Edge and hitting the Chart Buster, but "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes pulls one of Hall's legs to the underside of the bottom rope to break up the pinfall attempt. Disco never regains any momentum, and Scott Hall hits the Outsider's Edge to get the win.
Mike Tenay interviews suspended WCW referee Nick Patrick. He says it has been a month since he has been suspended without pay following the outcome of Sting vs. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Starrcade, and asks the crowd if they have ever seen two officials officiate in exactly the same way, and says that all of the WCW referees have their own unique cadence. He then says the World title match at Starrcade match was more of a brawl than a wrestling match, and says there was only one pinfall attempt in the match which he counted with his own cadence before Bret "The Hit Man" Hart took it upon himself to knock him out and reverse the decision himself despite not being a licensed official. He then says it is an outrage to him and the fans that WCW agreed with Bret's reverse decision and fired him afterwards, as it desecrates the World title. He then says that according to his lawyers, the fans will be seeing him again on WCW programming, and that he stands by his reputation, his decision and his count until his dying day. As for the rematch, he wants to be the man who referees it so he can prove he is "for real," not "4 lyfe."
Booker T retains the WCW World Television Championship against Saturn. During the match, members of Raven's Flock go after Booker T one by one, but Booker T fights them off. Rick Martel suddenly shows up and fights one of them off. When Saturn goes after Martel, Booker T goes for a roll-up from behind and gets the win. After the match, Saturn pushes Booker T into Martel, and Martel gets in the ring thinking Booker T hit him on purpose. This leads to an short argument between Booker T and Martel.

He says his chapter with Raven has come to an end after their battle at Souled Out, and that he needs no belt of gold around his waist to prove how good he is, and all he needs is an opponent and the fans to tune in for the match. Due to his political incorrectness and his affiliations, however, he does not get all the opportunities, but he will continue inflicting pain and punishment and crippling opponents until someone takes notice. Suddenly, Diamond Dallas Page shows up and says he is taking notice. He says Benoit has never gotten a shot at the title or been in the main event is because "the so-called promoters" never saw Benoit as a main eventer. He says the promoters saw him the same way, but they were wrong about him and they are wrong about Benoit, because he can tell how badly he wants it by the look in his eyes, which reminds DDP of himself. He then says the only difference between himself and Benoit is that what Benoit wants, he has, and since the promoters won't make the match, he wants to see how the people react. He asks the crowd if there is anybody who wants to see them get it on, and he is met with positive fan reaction. DDP then says the people have spoken, and Benoit tells DDP to name the time and place, and if DDP wants to give him a shot, he will take it. DDP says it will be in Beaumont, Texas next week on Thunder. Benoit accepts.

After the match, Nash and Robinson argue, and when Robinson turns his back, Nash hits him with a Jackknife Power Bomb. Members of the local police show up, and Nash allows himself to be handcuffed and arrested when he gets out of the ring. Nash then says to the camera "Make sure Jack Ruby ain't sittin' in the back, alright?!" Konnan and Buff Bagwell asks if Nash will be bailed out, and Nash tells them to call "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan as Nash is led out to the back to end the show.
