A white limousine pulls up outside of the arena. Out of the back seat comes Asya, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, Diamond Dallas Page and Charles Robinson.
Charles Robinson approaches the office of the WCW President, and he replaces the name plate for "Rowdy" Roddy Piper with that of "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, saying this is as it should be.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows up with Asya, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson and Charles Robinson. Flair says he is here to make a statement tonight, but before he does, Anderson has words of wisdom for Raven and Perry Saturn. Anderson says he is not nuts and never has been, and says he has always told it like it is and has never made guarantees or promises. He says that The Four Horsemen (Flair, Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko) have worked really hard to win three world championships a short time back, and that WCW management tried to squash it. He plans to take the President as his most powerful and make a guarantee that Malenko and Benoit will bring the world tag team titles back where they belong to The Four Horsemen tonight on Nitro. Flair makes it clear that he is the President of WCW, and says Eric Bischoff has no right to walk into a business he is running and making decisions concerning the company because of it. He then tells Ted Turner that if he does not move Bischoff, he is coming "to get Fonda." and Fonda will ride Space Mountain all over the Turner empire. He says to learn to love it, as he is WCW President. He then announces that tonight, for the first time ever, he and Robinson will face "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Gorgeous George in a mixed tag team match, and says Savage and Gorgeous George are going down tonight. Flair then tells Bischoff jumped on a World title match and made a call that will not stand, and announces that tonight, Kevin Nash will defend the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page, and DDP is here tonight. He asks DDP to come to the ring, as he and his entourage are helping him bring the World title back home. DDP shows up, and says Flair's decision making is why he should be WCW President. He then says everyone knows that he has never cried over a finish, and if he got beat, he got beat. He then says that Flair was right and that he got screwed at the last pay-per-view. He then tells Nash that since he has Bischoff in his pocket, he has decided to bring some of his own boys on. He brings out Bam Bam Bigelow, who shows up in street clothes and tells DDP he has his back. DDP says that he will be a three-time, three-time, three-time champion of the world. Flair says this could be one of the all-time greatest Nitros, as he is the boss.
We hear from Eric Bischoff. He says he meant exactly what he said when he reversed the decision for "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at Slamboree. He says he and everybody worked hard to make WCW #1 in the world and stay there for 88 straight weeks. He admits that wrestling is now a little more competitive than he would like it to be, and that maybe he got a little bit complacent, maybe he wasn't paying as much attention and that maybe he was full of himself, but he has learned from his mistakes and believes that WCW will be #1 again as everyone in the company is committed. He says that he will do everything in his power to make WCW #1 again.
We hear from Eric Bischoff, who says that he did what he felt was right concerning "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at Slamboree, saying that Piper deserved that match. As for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match between Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page, anybody who saw that match knows that Nash clearly had DDP beat before "Macho Man" Randy Savage interfered. Once again, he did not consider if he was working in any official capacity, and says he was doing what he thought was right. He also says not to blame Nick Patrick, as he was trying to do the right thing and had the option of making the decision, which is final. He says that Nash deserves the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and that there should be no doubt in anyone's mind. If anyone high on the corporate ladder does not like, it does not matter, as the referee's decision is final.
We hear from Eric Bischoff again, who says a lot of things are going to change. He says he is looking at how he has conducted business, and says he has made both good and bad decisions. He says the key is to be able to be honest with yourself, realize you've made mistakes and do something about it. He does not expected to be welcomed back with open arms, but there is not much he can do to change that other than to change how he conducts himself and shape the company into what he wants it to be. He says he will do everything in his power, and in case he cannot become WCW President, he will do what he can to contribute to the comapny and help make it #1 again, as he is grateful for all the opportunities given to him in the company, and says he owes a lot to the people who work 10-14 hours a week to make it all possible. He says he will do all he can to contribute. He thanks all the people who gave him another shot, and says he understands if there are people who cannot find it in their hearts to forgive him.
A black limousine shows up, and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Eric Bischoff enter the building.
It is announced that Bret "The Hit Man" Hart will not appear on a WCW program anytime soon due to how he quit the company. Hart is aware of Kevin Nash's challenge on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Friday night, is amused that "Jay Leno and the people with the show are now wrestling promoters", and will be on The Tonight Show Tuesday night to answer Nash's challenge.
Rey Mysterio Jr. retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Evan Karagias.
Charles Robinson, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko and Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker head to "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's office. Flair insists that he is still WCW President, and he puts Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker in a match against his son David Flair, and tells him to throw the match as soon as Anderson gives the signal. He also tells him that Charles Robinson will also be the referee for the match. If he does, he will take care of him by giving him an office job. Parker tells Flair he will do what needs to be done. After Parker leaves, Ric Flair calls David and Torrie Wilson out of his office, and he tells David Flair that he will be on the road to the world title and will face Buddy Lee Parker. He tells him how Parker will throw the match and give him the won to advance his career. Torrie tells Ric Flair that he had better keep his promise, and Ric Flair says that he will.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Booker T. Booker T says everybody knows what went down between him and Rick Steiner, but he is not crying over spilled milk and asking for a rematch, as he is calling Rick out. He tells Rick to get his gear on, as he has his on and is feeling a Harlem Hangover tonight. Booker T says he is a man on his own and that Stevie Ray has his own agenda, and all he cares about is getting the WCW Television Championship around his waist one more time as he is a true people's champion. He tells Rick to get in the ring with him, and that it is just business. Booker T says he started at the bottom and worked his way up to seven tag team titles and six television titles, and tells "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and WCW Executive Committee Chairman to do what they have to do to make the match official, and he says he will make it seven reigns with the Television title tonight.
David Flair beats Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker.
Before the next match, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair says he wants no excuses and wants "Macho Man" Randy Savage to bring Gorgeous George, Madusa and Miss Madness to the ring as what Gorgeous George has is a fraction of what Savage and Madusa are going to get. When they all show up, Gorgeous George is seen on crutches while Madusa is dressed for the ring. Savage tells Flair to get ready, and he will take him and Robinson all the way down. He won the battle, but did not lose the war, and says Flair will feel the madness and it will not feel good at all.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage and Madusa beat "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Little Nature Boy" Charles Robinson after Madusa keeps Flair out of the ring following the top rope elbow drop to Robinson.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. Piper shows up with a clipboard in his hand. Piper insists that he is WCW President. He says he has been listening to "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, and says Flair has gone way over the edge. He says he has ten reasons Flair should not be running a gas station, much less WCW. He says he is broke, and asks how is he going to budget WCW if he has no money of his own. Piper then talks about a time 15 years ago in North Carolina, when he was sitting at a bar at the Hilton when Flair shows up in drag with a Dolly Patron wig and comedy breasts and danced all night and danced a little longer with some guy who looked like Barbra Striesand. He also says that he has Charles Robinson stalking RuPaul. He then says that Flair says "the Y2K problem is no problem" because Robinson has two tubes of jelly in his bag. He also says Flair thought "The Phanton Menace" was Hilary Clinton. He then says that Flair was once in the office naked chasing himself around the desk. He also says Ric Flair is Dennis Rodman's best friend as well as his marriage and sports counselor. Piper also says that when he sent Flair to the nuthouse, Flair met Dr. Kevorkian, and after ten minutes, Dr. Kevorkian was trying to stick the needle in his own arm. He says that Space Mountain has been dead for 15 years, and that Flair thinks Viagra is the world's biggest waterfalls. He also says one of Flair's old dates has said she would stand naked on an anthill than be in Ric Flair's hotel room for an hour as he talked about his World championships. Finally, according to The Nitro Girls, Flair has gone from "The 60-minute man" to "the 60-second scam." Piper then says he has been talking to Eric Bischoff, who has told him all kinds of Flair, and asks Brischoff to come to the ring so he can tell it all to the fans. Bischoff shows up, and Piper says he has wanted to punch him in the face and drag him around the ring until there was nothing left, and that all he has done has led to his hair turning gray. He reminds him of the time he fired Randy Anderson, and says he does not buy his apology. Bischoff says he has screwed up and made mistakes, and he apologizes to Piper and the fans for him. He does not blame Piper for not forgiving him, and tells him to judge him by what he does, not what he says. As Bischoff says he is committed to WCW, "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up with Madusa, Gorgeous George and Miss Madness '99. Savage says it is simple, and that by the end of the evening, he wants a title shot against Kevin Nash. He says Bischoff - whom he never liked - messed him up as he had somebody that owed him something. Piper says Savage will get his title shot, as he is the commissioner, and that he will have to wait. Savage says he does what he wants, and says he is not leaving until he gets a World title shot against Kevin Nash. Suddenly, Gorgeous George hits Piper wih one of her crutches, revealing that she is not even hurt, and Savage hits both Piper with a piledriver before body slamming Eric Bischoff. As he goes up top for the elbow drop, Kevin Nash gets in the ring. Savage leaves, but not before demanding a World title shot from Kevin Nash as he thinks Nash is nothing but an ass who has no guts. Savage also tells Nash to hand him the title just like he did to Hollywood Hogan. Nash tells Savage that he can see he's "used his American Express card on his dates," and if he wants the belt from him, he will have to pry it from his dead hands. Savage says that can be arranged and that he would rather take it from him that way.
Hak and Chastity show up. He trashes Cedar Rapids, Iowa and the crowd, saying something stinks in the town. He says that he is the most hardcore wrestler on the planet and the king of extreme, and has said this since he showed up in WCW. He says he proved at Uncensored when he beat Bam Bam Bigelow and Raven and became the hardcore champion, then beat Bam Bam Bigelow to an inch of his career in Minnesota when he called him out, and beat Kevin Nash to an inch of his career as well. He also called out Goldberg and beat him to an inch of his career. Suddenly, Fit Finley shows up on the video screen, and says he is sick of him calling himself the king of hardcore, and says where he comes from is hardcore. He then tells Hak to get his kendo stick ready, because he's on his way. When he shows up, Hak asks Finley if he knows what he is getting into, then says he might as well give him his last request and hands him the microphone. Finley proceeds to hit Hak in the forehead with it, starting an impromptu hardcore match.
Hak vs. Fit Finley is thrown out after Brian Knobbs shows up and attacks both men, starting a brawl. Finley chases Hak to the back with a chair, and Knobbs chases Finley with a broken table.
Booker T is seen down on the ground backstage. Rick Steiner then says that Booker T didn't want to come to the ring as he cannot win without Stevie Ray's help. He then issues an open challenge to anyone in the locker room, but Rick Steiner gets impatient and leaves. As he makes his way up the ramp, Sting shows up and answers the open challenge.
Rick Steiner vs. Sting ends in a no-contest. During the match, Scott Steiner shows up, and he and Rick surround the ring. Lex Luger gets in the ring to pair up with Sting, and keeps both Steiners out of the ring.
Curt Hennig beats Konnan. Before the match, Konnan gives a shout-out to Tommy Boy Records. During the match, Hennig shoves the referee, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up saying that Konnan is the first to feel the madness in his seek and destroy mission since "his boy" Kevin Nash does not have the guts to give him a World title shot. He tells Konnan to tell Nash what he said, and spits in his face. He says this is the way it is, as he does not need a reason for anything. Hennig then boots Konnan to the outside of the ring, and Savage attacks Konnan. Hennig then hits the Hennigplex for the win. After the match, Savage tells Konnan to tell Nash what he said, because it is only going to get worse from here.
Raven and Perry Saturn retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko). During the match, Kanyon gets on the apron, and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson hits Benoit with the tire iron. Malenko goes up top, but Kanyon pushes him off. Saturn catches Malenko and hits the Death Valley Driver to retain the tag team titles. Backstage, Raven, Saturn and Kanyon meet up with Bam Bam Bigelow.
Kevin Nash retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page by disqualification after Bam Bam Bigelow - who has been at ringside since shortly after the beginning of the match - and "Macho Man" Randy Savage interfere. Page, Savage and Bigelow triple-team Kevin Nash, then Savage brings out Madusa, Gorgeous George and Miss Madness '99 out as he puts lipstick on Nash's face. A fan gets in the ring, but he is promptly caught by security as Savage continues to pummel Nash and hit him with the top rope elbow drop.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for August 11, 1997
The Giant is handed a piece of paper by a police officer outside of the arena before the start of the show.
We see a performance from The Nitro Girls.
Before the next match, The Wolfpack (Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Syxx) say they know everybody here and at home is watching for one reason and one reason only: the New World Order. They then say that they are the best tag team on the planet, and to tell Ted DiBiase to ask The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) why they don't have the tag team titles if they're so good. The Steiner's music plays, but two random wrestlers - Bobby Starr and David Moore - show up instead.
The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) beat Bobby Starr and David Moore. After the match, The Outsiders want someone else, but The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) and Ted DiBiase show up through the scrowd, and The Stiners clear The Outsiders out of the ring.
Meng beats Wrath by pinfall with the Tongan Death Grip. Mortis rushes in to get Meng off of Wrath, but he is quickly joined by The Barbarian. Meng and The Barbarian chase James Vandenberg into the crowd.
This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Diamond Dallas Page! Curt Hennig! Alex Wright! "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair!
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Ted DiBiase and The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner), who says that they wrestled the best tag team the nWo had to offer despite the raw deal they got and that The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) knew they were beaten on Saturday. They plan to reload and come back at them as they do things their way. DiBiase says they're here to take care of business and will continue to do so, and that on Saturday, The Outsiders were outclassed and had to get themselves disqualified to keep the tag team titles. He then wants an explanation from referee Nick Patrick, noting that Patrick was kicked out of the nWo while he left voluntary. Patrick shows up and says he let the match go as long as he could as The Outsiders kept getting themselves disqualified, and that he stopped the match when they put their hands on him. He then criticized fellow ref Randy Anderson for allowing Lex Luger to be hit with a baseball bat in the main event. DiBiase tells The Outsiders that The Steiners have them where they want them: running scared. He tells them to look over their shoulder, as they're coming.
Eddie Guerrero beats Chris Jericho.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls. Once again, Alex Wright tires to butt in, but they don't want anything to do with it and he ends up dancing alone. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Wright, who calls the crowd losers who are jealous of him because he looks great, is an unbelievable dancer and a fantastic wrestler who is the Cruiserweight champion.
Dean Malenko beats Jeff Jarrett by disqualification after Eddie Guerrero shows up and attacks Malenko. During the match, Jarrett tries to run away, but he is blocked by Steve "Mongo" McMichael. After the match, Mongo shows up and overpowers both Eddie and Jarrett. Malenko and Mongo run into each other, then Malenko attacks Mongo when the latter extends his hand, and sends him out of the ring. Mongo notes that Malenko "is tougher than a nickel steak" and that he respects that.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Curt Hennig and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair says he noticed Hennig talking to Eric Bischoff backstage, and Hennig tells him he has business with Bischoff. "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael show up as Flair gives him an opportunity to become a Horseman. Hennig neither confirms nor denies that he is a Horseman, but he does have the main event with "Macho Man" Randy Savage tonight. Flair asks Hennig to show him and his men why he deserves to be a Horseman tonight, then The Four Horsemen will head to Clash of the Champions, and asks Hennig to be his partner then. Hennig accepts, but says that doesn't necessarily mean that he is a Horseman.
At the start of the second hour, Eric Bischoff rides out on a motorcyle with Scott Norton before the next match, and pulls out a microphone. He says he told Lex Luger he would pay at Road Wild while Scott Hall, Buff Bagwell, Syxx and Vincent show up, and says that they have a surprise announcement. He congratulates "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan on reclaiming the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) for retaining the WCW World Tag Team Championships as he says the nWo is stronger than ever. Everyone in the ring then wishes a happy birthday to Hogan, who is out shooting a movie in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They then focus on The Giant, saying that he has gotten his message through the police at the top of the show. It is revealed that the paper The Giant received is a restraining order, and if The Giant gets within 50 feet of him, The Giant will go to jail. He warns "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyzsko that he may be next. He then re-focuses on The Giant as the camera focuses on Buff Bagwell spray painting a black line and "50 FT" on the aisle, and dares The Giant to get a piece of them. The Giant shows up, and WCW Security, James J. Dillon and Zbyzsko try to stop him, but The Giant crosses the line. The police show up, and The Giant has to go to jail. WCW security head Doug Dellinger says handcuffs won't work on The Giant, and The Giant willfully goes to jail without resistance. Meanwhile, Scott Hall creeps up behind Zbyszko and throws a toothpick at him to get a rise out of him.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) and Miss Jacqueline chat with the fans on WCWWrestling.com.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael).
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Lex Luger. Luger says he would be a liar if last week's main event wasn't the greatest moment of his career and that Road Wild was a big disappointment for a short while. Last week, WCW wrestlers, both friend and foe, came together as one to celebrate Hogan losing the World title, and calls it a foundation and building point for WCW. He has talked to Randy Anderson and says they are cool to each other, as if Anderson was quick to ring the bell, he would not win the title. Luger says that Randy Anderson did his job as he saw fit and holds no animosity towards him because of it. He then tells the New World Order that WCW is getting their act together, and they're one misstep away from losing what's theirs, and tells Hogan to get a good look at what is standing before him as he has put him in the Torture Rack three times and that he could take the title away from him again quickly.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Diamond Dallas Page beats Buff Bagwell after sending Bagwell into Vincent when he tries to interfere.
Lee Marshall calls from Birmingham, Alabama - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.
The Ultimate Dragon retains the WCW World Television Championship against Mortis with a Dragon Sleeper after reversing the Flatliner into a Sunset Flip Powerbomb.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund is in the ring with WCW Executive Committee head James J. Dillon, who tries once again to sign a deal with Sting. Suddenly, the audience cheers as Dillon speaks, and Sting is spotted in the rafters before he rappels down into the crowd and makes his way into the ring. Dillon offers him a new contract, and asks him to name the time and place for a match against Syxx. Sting takes the contract, then tears it up and places it in Dillon's jacket. Okerlund asks Sting what he wants. Sting stops, then points into the crowd, who chant "Hogan."

He congratulates "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan on reclaiming the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) for retaining the WCW World Tag Team Championships as he says the nWo is stronger than ever. Everyone in the ring then wishes a happy birthday to Hogan, who is out shooting a movie in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They then focus on The Giant, saying that he has gotten his message through the police at the top of the show. It is revealed that the paper The Giant received is a restraining order, and if The Giant gets within 50 feet of him, The Giant will go to jail. He warns "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyzsko that he may be next. He then re-focuses on The Giant as the camera focuses on Buff Bagwell spray painting a black line and "50 FT" on the aisle, and dares The Giant to get a piece of them. The Giant shows up, and WCW Security, James J. Dillon and Zbyzsko try to stop him, but The Giant crosses the line. The police show up, and The Giant has to go to jail. WCW security head Doug Dellinger says handcuffs won't work on The Giant, and The Giant willfully goes to jail without resistance. Meanwhile, Scott Hall creeps up behind Zbyszko and throws a toothpick at him to get a rise out of him.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) and Miss Jacqueline chat with the fans on WCWWrestling.com.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat The Four Horsemen ("The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael).
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Lex Luger. Luger says he would be a liar if last week's main event wasn't the greatest moment of his career and that Road Wild was a big disappointment for a short while. Last week, WCW wrestlers, both friend and foe, came together as one to celebrate Hogan losing the World title, and calls it a foundation and building point for WCW. He has talked to Randy Anderson and says they are cool to each other, as if Anderson was quick to ring the bell, he would not win the title. Luger says that Randy Anderson did his job as he saw fit and holds no animosity towards him because of it. He then tells the New World Order that WCW is getting their act together, and they're one misstep away from losing what's theirs, and tells Hogan to get a good look at what is standing before him as he has put him in the Torture Rack three times and that he could take the title away from him again quickly.
We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.
Diamond Dallas Page beats Buff Bagwell after sending Bagwell into Vincent when he tries to interfere.
Lee Marshall calls from Birmingham, Alabama - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.
The Ultimate Dragon retains the WCW World Television Championship against Mortis with a Dragon Sleeper after reversing the Flatliner into a Sunset Flip Powerbomb.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund is in the ring with WCW Executive Committee head James J. Dillon, who tries once again to sign a deal with Sting. Suddenly, the audience cheers as Dillon speaks, and Sting is spotted in the rafters before he rappels down into the crowd and makes his way into the ring. Dillon offers him a new contract, and asks him to name the time and place for a match against Syxx. Sting takes the contract, then tears it up and places it in Dillon's jacket. Okerlund asks Sting what he wants. Sting stops, then points into the crowd, who chant "Hogan."

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Curt Hennig - the former Mr. Perfect - to start the show. He says that everyone knows that he is the greatest athlete and wrestler that Minnesota and the world has ever seen, and that he is here in World Championship Wrestling. He will be at Bash At The Beach and will participate "in some way, shape or form" and considers himself a free agent, saying that nobdoy should be taking "free" lightly. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up with a lovely lady, saying Flair is here to join The Four Horsemen. Hennig says he isn't, but Flair still offers him the position nonetheless.
Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge and "Flyboy" Rocco Rock) beat Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) when Booker T tries to keep Vincent from interfering and Sister Sherri's attempt to stop a double team from Public Enemy on Stevie Ray backfires. When "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Harlem Heat and Stevie Ray, Sherri tries to explain herself but Booker T tells her to get her act together "get to steppin'." Sherri tells Booker that they can't fire her because she quits, and storms out of the ring. Stevie Ray announces that it is now over between them and Sherri.
Konnan beats Joe Gomez with the Tequila Sunrise. During the match, Raven is shown sitting at ringside once again.
Mike Tenay guests on commentary for the next match.

Mike Tenay and Tony Schiavone leave, but "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko sticks around, saying he wants to see "The Wormpack" up close. La Parka beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage with a Diamond Cutter after getting the knees up to block Savage's top rope elbow drop, then unmasks during the pinfall to reveal that Diamond Dallas Page is under the mask. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko leaves the commentary table after this match.
Psychosis and Silver King vs. Glacier and "The Cat" Ernest Miller ends when Mortis and Wrath shows up and attack all four men, leading to a pier six brawl between all three teams. During the match, camera are backstage to capture a brawl between Eddie Guerrero and Chavo Guerrero Jr.

After acknowledging a fan's sign saying "Ric Flair is God," Flair formally apologizes to Okerlund, the fans and TBS because he said on Saturday night that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper would never show up in Memphis, because he is here. Piper's music plays, but Piper doesn't show up. Instead, he uncovers a nearby mannequin dressed like Piper and talks to it. He also apologizes for being so modest as to not say that Piper is a punk, a second-rate movie maker and not having the guts to jump on him. He says Piper is a stiff just like the 200 other guys he has puhse dto greatness. Suddenly, the real Piper shows up and stands behind him, but Flair doesn't believe Okerlund until he accidentally grabs the real Piper's skirt. Piper chases Flair into the ring, and the two of them fight. Piper takes off Flair's belt and whips him with it before ripping the rest of his clothes off. Piper then withstands from knife edge chops from Flair and puts him in the sleeper, then "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael show up to fight Piper only for Piper to fight off all three men at one time until Flair is able to grab Piper by the leg. He then readies Piper's for Benoit's top rope headbutt, then just before the break, Jeff Jarrett shows up fights off Flair, Mongo and Benoit (though commentary never even mentions that this is Jarrett).

Richards pushes Tenay out of the way, then leaves as well.

As he says that everyone has told him his arms are bigger than Luger's and that he is stronger than The Giant, Luger and The Giant show up. Luger puts bischoff in the Torture Rack, and Vincent runs in only to be choke slammed by The Giant - a fate shared by Buff Bagwell. Hogan runs away, leaving Bischoff inthe ring until The Giant pushes him out.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for May 26, 1997
Eric Bischoff starts tonight's show by walking down the aisle and introducing "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan. Hogan says Bischoff is the reason he's in the Bahamas spending Ted Turner's movie and making movies, and says that when it comes to messing with family, nobody is closer to family than Bischoff. He says that Sting is in deep doo-doo for laying his hands on Bischoff. He tells the Sting fans that Sting is scared of The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) and can't keep up with Syxx, then calls Sting out so he can tear him apart. Bischoff says that Sting is nowhere in the building and is scared of Hogan, and Hogan says that his arms are bigger than Sting's entire body. He plans to look through the building himself and slap anybody who remotely looks like Sting as he calls him out again.
Juventud Guerrera, Super Calo and the debuting Hector Garza beat Ciclope, La Parka and the debuting Damien.
Psychosis beats Alex Wright.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sonny Onoo, who says that Masahiro Chono's nightmare is waiting in the back, and that we will have to wait to see who it is. When Psychosis approaches the entrance ramp, Sonny Onoo tells him he has a deal for him and asks if he is interested. Psychosis says he is, and says he'll see him in the back. Onoo then says Chono willget his tonight, and no sooner does he say this that Madussa shows up and says she'll do anything for a shot at Akira Hokuto. Onoo gives her the shot at The Great America Bash, but if Madusa loses, Madusa's career is over. After being rushed to make an answer by Onoo, Madusa accepts the offer.
We get a look at some footage of Ernest Miller from The Battle of Atlanta, and we learn that Glacier had arranged for Ernest Miller to appear at Slamboree due to their long-time friendship and their connection to the martial arts. We also learn that Miller has experience in other sports.
Wrath beats Mark Starr. Wrath and Mortis continue to attack Starr after the match.
We hear pre-recorded comments from Hugh Morrus, who tells Konnan that it wasn't funny furthering his career at his expense and that we will soon see what kind of a sense of humor Konnan has.
Konnan beats Villano IV with the Tequila Sunrise. During the match, Hugh Morrus shows up, but WCW security stop him from entering the ring. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Konnan after the match, who says that The Taskmaster, who has taken a brief sabbatical, has lost his touch, especially when it took him a year to take care of Benoit and has Jacqueline doing his work for him. He also tells Hugh Morrus that he is ready to throw down if he shows up during any of his matches.

Sonny Onoo introduces the man he deems the nightmare of Masahiro Chono: The Great Muta. Unfortunately for Onoo, Muta turns on him by spitting red mist into his face when Onoo finds out that Muta and Chono aren't really fighting and Muta isn't doing what he is asking him to do. It is then revealed that The Great Muta has joined The New World Order.
The Barbarian beats Joe Gomez. "Mean" Gene Okerlund is about to interview Jimmy Hart and The Barbarian when "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Woman appear, wanting to know where The Taskmaster is. Benoit tells Jimmy Hart that he hopes The Taskmaster finds himself so he can do what he does best to him, and asks Hart what he has to do to get him back in the ring. Hart tells him the road to The Taskmaster lies in The Barbarian. Benoit immediately answers the challenge and gets in the ring, but Hart says they've got seven days to think about this. Nevertheless, the match is on for next week.
The Giant beats Johnny Swinger, Ron Fuller and Jerry Flynn in a 3-on-1 handicap match. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Lex Luger and The Giant after the match, who have a shot at "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Dennis Rodman at Bash at the Beach in July yafter Hogan and Rodman signed an open contract. Luger says he's always been a fan of the NBA, but he's kept an eye on Dennis Rodman to see how he moves and thinks after stepping into WCW's domain and humiliated him. Luger says he and The Giant want the first shot at Hogan and Rodman, and tells Rodman to get ready because he has no idea what he's stepping into. The Giant tells Hogan that he's been hiding, but now he's in the building, he wants him to know well that what comes around, goes around, and The Giant is coming for him.

Syxx shows up. He says Nick Patrick from Slamboree doesn't count as he was not reinstated until the following night. He then brags about the beating that he and The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) gave "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair last week before introducing Nash and Hall. Hall says it brings back memories seeing Flair get tossed around "like the dirtbag he is" after they gave him a reality check. Nash says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper could only make him and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan go to sleep if they tied them up in recliners and had them watch his next movie. He and Hall then decide to put the tag team titles on the line, and want to defend them against Piper and Flair, joking that maybe they'll put one of their dialysis machines on the line in exchange. He then tells Piper that since he didn't retire like he told his son Colton he would, they will retire him themselves. Hall then declares Nashville, Tennessee to be nWo territory.

During the match, Steve "Mongo" McMichael goes for the commentary table when the video screen shows Kevin Greene at the commentary table, which leads to Mongo leaving Jeff Jarrett being left and high and dry as Mongo and Greene brawl their way into the back. Jarrett and Debra McMichael show their disappointment with Mongo after the match.
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up. Hogan says that the "nWo World Heavyweight Championship" is on the line and The New World Order has Sting cornered, and calls Sting out so he can receive the whupping that he deserves. Bischoff says that Sting isn't here, and that if he was, they would make him worship the ground Hogan spits on. As Hogan says Sting wants to be like him, Sting pops out from the underside of the ring and points his bat at Hogan and Bischoff. Bischoff tells Sting to get down on his knees, and this Sting gets down on his knees, revealing that this Sting is a fake, and when Bischoff asks this Sting if he wishes he was half the man that Hogan is, he shakes his head yes. Bischoff then tells Hogan to make this Sting worship the ground that Hogan spits on in, and as this Sting frovels, the real Sting rappels down to the ring and hits Bischoff with a reverse DDT. The real Sting makes Hogan trip over the fake Sting, and when the fake Sting swings his bat, the real one blocks it and hits him with the reverse DDT, too. Hogan then calls out the rest of the nWo, who appears at the entrance ramp, and Sting stands his ground as the nWo surrounds the ring. When they get in the ring, Sting rappels back up to the rafters as the show ends.

When Psychosis approaches the entrance ramp, Sonny Onoo tells him he has a deal for him and asks if he is interested. Psychosis says he is, and says he'll see him in the back. Onoo then says Chono willget his tonight, and no sooner does he say this that Madussa shows up and says she'll do anything for a shot at Akira Hokuto. Onoo gives her the shot at The Great America Bash, but if Madusa loses, Madusa's career is over. After being rushed to make an answer by Onoo, Madusa accepts the offer.
We get a look at some footage of Ernest Miller from The Battle of Atlanta, and we learn that Glacier had arranged for Ernest Miller to appear at Slamboree due to their long-time friendship and their connection to the martial arts. We also learn that Miller has experience in other sports.
Wrath beats Mark Starr. Wrath and Mortis continue to attack Starr after the match.
We hear pre-recorded comments from Hugh Morrus, who tells Konnan that it wasn't funny furthering his career at his expense and that we will soon see what kind of a sense of humor Konnan has.
Konnan beats Villano IV with the Tequila Sunrise. During the match, Hugh Morrus shows up, but WCW security stop him from entering the ring. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Konnan after the match, who says that The Taskmaster, who has taken a brief sabbatical, has lost his touch, especially when it took him a year to take care of Benoit and has Jacqueline doing his work for him. He also tells Hugh Morrus that he is ready to throw down if he shows up during any of his matches.

Unfortunately for Onoo, Muta turns on him by spitting red mist into his face when Onoo finds out that Muta and Chono aren't really fighting and Muta isn't doing what he is asking him to do. It is then revealed that The Great Muta has joined The New World Order.
The Barbarian beats Joe Gomez. "Mean" Gene Okerlund is about to interview Jimmy Hart and The Barbarian when "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Woman appear, wanting to know where The Taskmaster is. Benoit tells Jimmy Hart that he hopes The Taskmaster finds himself so he can do what he does best to him, and asks Hart what he has to do to get him back in the ring. Hart tells him the road to The Taskmaster lies in The Barbarian. Benoit immediately answers the challenge and gets in the ring, but Hart says they've got seven days to think about this. Nevertheless, the match is on for next week.
The Giant beats Johnny Swinger, Ron Fuller and Jerry Flynn in a 3-on-1 handicap match. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Lex Luger and The Giant after the match, who have a shot at "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Dennis Rodman at Bash at the Beach in July yafter Hogan and Rodman signed an open contract. Luger says he's always been a fan of the NBA, but he's kept an eye on Dennis Rodman to see how he moves and thinks after stepping into WCW's domain and humiliated him. Luger says he and The Giant want the first shot at Hogan and Rodman, and tells Rodman to get ready because he has no idea what he's stepping into. The Giant tells Hogan that he's been hiding, but now he's in the building, he wants him to know well that what comes around, goes around, and The Giant is coming for him.
Lee Marshall calls from Dayton, Ohio - the site of next week's Nitro - for the 1-800-COLLECT Road Report.
Syxx shows up. He says Nick Patrick from Slamboree doesn't count as he was not reinstated until the following night. He then brags about the beating that he and The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) gave "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair last week before introducing Nash and Hall. Hall says it brings back memories seeing Flair get tossed around "like the dirtbag he is" after they gave him a reality check. Nash says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper could only make him and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan go to sleep if they tied them up in recliners and had them watch his next movie. He and Hall then decide to put the tag team titles on the line, and want to defend them against Piper and Flair, joking that maybe they'll put one of their dialysis machines on the line in exchange. He then tells Piper that since he didn't retire like he told his son Colton he would, they will retire him themselves. Hall then declares Nashville, Tennessee to be nWo territory.

Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) beat The Four Horsemen (Jeff Jarrett and Steve "Mongo" McMichael). During the match, Steve "Mongo" McMichael goes for the commentary table when the video screen shows Kevin Greene at the commentary table, which leads to Mongo leaving Jeff Jarrett being left and high and dry as Mongo and Greene brawl their way into the back. Jarrett and Debra McMichael show their disappointment with Mongo after the match.
"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up. Hogan says that the "nWo World Heavyweight Championship" is on the line and The New World Order has Sting cornered, and calls Sting out so he can receive the whupping that he deserves. Bischoff says that Sting isn't here, and that if he was, they would make him worship the ground Hogan spits on. As Hogan says Sting wants to be like him, Sting pops out from the underside of the ring and points his bat at Hogan and Bischoff. Bischoff tells Sting to get down on his knees, and this Sting gets down on his knees, revealing that this Sting is a fake, and when Bischoff asks this Sting if he wishes he was half the man that Hogan is, he shakes his head yes. Bischoff then tells Hogan to make this Sting worship the ground that Hogan spits on in, and as this Sting frovels, the real Sting rappels down to the ring and hits Bischoff with a reverse DDT. The real Sting makes Hogan trip over the fake Sting, and when the fake Sting swings his bat, the real one blocks it and hits him with the reverse DDT, too. Hogan then calls out the rest of the nWo, who appears at the entrance ramp, and Sting stands his ground as the nWo surrounds the ring. When they get in the ring, Sting rappels back up to the rafters as the show ends.

Tony Schiavone apologizes to Sting for thinking he actually joined The New World Order, saying that Sting was in Japan - and not at Nitro - at the time and that commentary should have known this. (The author is not making this statement up and wants to beat his head on the desk.)
Earlier tonight, the nWo street team handed out flyers stating "Bad just arrived. We're here to stay." to people entering the arena.
Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Juventud Guerrera. Just before the end of the match, the nWo street team is seen celebrating their win in War Games last night outside of the arena.
Mike Tenay interviews "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael and Debra McMichael. Mongo tells Lex Luger to get Sting and tell him to come back, and Debra tells Luger that he and Sting. Benoit says he and Mongo prophesied that Luger and Sting would not deliver at War Games, and tells them to prepare to pay the price.
We see a video package of Glacier, who explains that he trained in the martial arts in Japan, and that he met some of Japan's best wrestlers as he taught the martial arts himself. Now he has put martial arts and wrestling together to create a superior style. He also explains the symbols on his armor, which is reminiscent of gladiators throughout time.
Diamond Dallas Page beats Ice Train after DDP grabbed Theodore Long's towel and threw it into the ring, and referee Nick Patrick takes it as Long throwing in the towel on Ice Train's behalf. During the match, it is mentioned that "Mean" Gene Okerlund has disappeared, with Okerlund having not appeared at Fall Brawl. (In reality, Okerlund's contract with WCW had expired and Okerlund tried to get back into the World Wrestling Federation. The WWF would eventually turn him down and he would eventually return to WCW until it closed in 2001.) Also, the nWo street team block the WCW merchandise table, and the match ends as the camera is focused on them, so the viewers get no chance to see what happened. After the match, Ice Train tries to get his hands on Nick Patrick.

Scott "Flash" Norton beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage after Savage attacks him with a chair. Referee Nick Patrick tries to stop Savage, but Savage simply tosses him to the floor.

It is noticed by commentary that Sting is not looking into the camera like he normally does, and is instead staring right at the fans in the front row. On Saturday night, he saw more of the same as he stayed in seclusion. At Fall Brawl, he told Lex Luger it wasn't him and was again doubted. He says he's been mediator and babysitter for Luger so many times in the last year, and he has carried the WCW banner and given blood, sweat and tears for WCW. He tells those that never doubted him that he will stand by them if they stand by him. For those that did, they can stick it. From now on, he considers himself a free agent, but that doesn't mean he's gone. Instead, he's going to pop up when we least expect it. The commentary team wonders if Sting will still be here tonight. Chris Jericho and Marcus Bagwell come out for the next match - a tag team match - but when "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair's music plays, Flair is nowhere to be seen. Backstage, Miss Elizabeth is still shaken after the events of War Games from last week, and is scared that The New World Order may be here. She stays behind as Woman tags along solo with Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Before the match happens, The 1-2-3 Kid stands up on his seat, produces a remote control and presses a button. New World Order flyers fall from the roof of the arena as the nWo street team walk around carrying signs, and The 1-2-3 Kid is confirmed as the sixth man of The New World Order.
After the break, it is revealed that the nWo flyers have varying messages on them, such as "We beat you...now you pay all the bills" and "Now we do TV our way." Eric Bischoff states that he was forced by the New World Order to agree to give the New World Order their own show in order for War Games to happen last night, and now that the nWo has won, he has to do it.
The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson) beat Marcus Bagwell and Chris Jericho by pinfall during the Figure Four Leg Lock after Woman rakes Bagwell's eyes as referee Nick Patrick isn't looking. During the match, it is revealed that The 1-2-3 Kid is officially part of The New World Order as everyone else celebrates. The Giant plays something with a boombox, and it happens to be the the same message about trust that was heard when Sting was suspected to be a member of The New World Order, just before Lex Luger was attacked by the fake Sting. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan declares that Sting has been stung.

He says that everything people have said about him are a lie, and he insists that he will be impartial regardless of whoever is in the ring.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Col. Robert Parker and Sister Sherri. As he says that Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) are on their own tonight, Parker has brought Sherri some presents: a black leather vest and black leather riding pants, as Sherri is going to spend some time down South with him at his place.
Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) beat Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Buddy Valentino. Soon after it is announced that this match is the debut of new WCW referee Mark Curtis, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase shows up and walks to an empty seat in the front row. During the match, it is announced that Mike Tenay will join Eric Bischoff and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan at the commentary table during the second hour of Nitro each and every week starting tonight. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Harlem Heat after the match, and they are ready for The Nasty Boys (Jerry Sags and Brian Knobbs), saying they finished them a long time ago and that they have no idea what caused them to want to face them again. They are suddenly attacked by The Nasty Boys, and Booker T is hit with a double-team spike piledriver.
Chris Jericho beats Dean Malenko. During the match, "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase leaves, a departure from last week where he stayed in the front row for the whole show.

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan brags about how he, Nash and Hall no longer have to hide in the shadows to do anything they want, and says WCW will fall at their feet. He says that they will be victorious in War Games at Fall Brawl, and calls Sting and Lex Luger's partnering up with "The Nature Boy" and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson "weak" and says times have changed.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Big Ron Studd. During the match, Hall, Nash and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan are seen coming out of the limousine outside of the arena, and they quickly get the cameraman out of their sight after telling an unknown person to stay in the limo. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Savage, who wishes Halloween Havoc was tonight as he guarantees to Okerlund and the fans that he is going to beat "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and take everything he wants as that makes him happy. He's living on the edge, and if anyone else isn't, they're "takin' up too much room." He tells The Giant they made a deal and he broke his promise, and now he takes over. He guarantees victory against The Giant and against Hogan, and says both men will melt when the heat of the Macho Man brings them all the way down.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Sting and Lex Luger when Rick Steiner accidentally pushes Luger into referee Nick Patrick, who takes it as Luger "striking a WCW official" and calls for the disqualification. All four men are absolutely livid, and Sting and Luger chase Nick Patrick to the back. During the match, The Four Horsemen surround the limousine, but find out that Hall, Nash and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan are in the arena as soon as they discover the limousine is empty.
The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael) beats The Dungeon of Doom (The Taskmaster, Meng, The Barbarian, Big Bubba) with a Figure Four Leg Lock on The Taskmaster after Woman gives Flair the assist. During the match, Sting and Lex Luger continue to chase Nick Patrick all the way to the limo. Patrick takes a right, but Sting and Luger see "The Million Dollar Man" inside the limo, outing him as "the fourth man." Sting throws a cement block into a back window and tries to get him out with help from Luger, but the limousine speeds off, leading Sting and Luger to steal a nearby police car and chase after the speeding limo with it. The nearby police officer (who gives no effort to keep them from stealing the car, by the way) puts out an APB on the limo. After the match, The New World Order (Hall, Nash, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan) show up and attack everyone. The Giant shows up, but instead of making the save for The Dungeon of Doom, he hits Meng and The Barbarian with the choke slam, revealing The Giant as the other mystery man The New World Order has mentioned and causing him to turn heel as a result. "Macho Man" Randy Savage tries to attack everyone in the nWo with a steel chair, but he quickly falls to the numbers game. Hogan spray paints a yellow streak down Savage's back after the beatdown. The New World Order then take over the broadcast booth again, and Hogan says there are more than five men. The Giant says that Ted DiBiase gave him a ton of money to join The New World Order after he saw multiple Harley-Davidson motorcyles and Mercedes-Benz automobiles in DiBiase's mansion as he and the rest of the nWo spit on the Monday Nitro logo that hung on the broadcast table. Before The Giant can finish, the WCW locker room goes after the nWo, but the nWo finish them off. The show ends with the nWo completely destroying the broadcast booth and a shot of The Dungeon of Doom helping Savage to the back.

We see another announcement paid for by The New World Order. "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan brags about how he, Nash and Hall no longer have to hide in the shadows to do anything they want, and says WCW will fall at their feet. He says that they will be victorious in War Games at Fall Brawl, and calls Sting and Lex Luger's partnering up with "The Nature Boy" and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson "weak" and says times have changed.
Pyrotechnics signal the start of the second hour.
"Macho Man" Randy Savage beats Big Ron Studd. During the match, Hall, Nash and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan are seen coming out of the limousine outside of the arena, and they quickly get the cameraman out of their sight after telling an unknown person to stay in the limo. After the match, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Savage, who wishes Halloween Havoc was tonight as he guarantees to Okerlund and the fans that he is going to beat "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and take everything he wants as that makes him happy. He's living on the edge, and if anyone else isn't, they're "takin' up too much room." He tells The Giant they made a deal and he broke his promise, and now he takes over. He guarantees victory against The Giant and against Hogan, and says both men will melt when the heat of the Macho Man brings them all the way down.
The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) beat Sting and Lex Luger when Rick Steiner accidentally pushes Luger into referee Nick Patrick, who takes it as Luger "striking a WCW official" and calls for the disqualification. All four men are absolutely livid, and Sting and Luger chase Nick Patrick to the back. During the match, The Four Horsemen surround the limousine, but find out that Hall, Nash and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan are in the arena as soon as they discover the limousine is empty.
The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, Steve "Mongo" McMichael) beats The Dungeon of Doom (The Taskmaster, Meng, The Barbarian, Big Bubba) with a Figure Four Leg Lock on The Taskmaster after Woman gives Flair the assist. During the match, Sting and Lex Luger continue to chase Nick Patrick all the way to the limo. Patrick takes a right, but Sting and Luger see "The Million Dollar Man" inside the limo, outing him as "the fourth man." Sting throws a cement block into a back window and tries to get him out with help from Luger, but the limousine speeds off, leading Sting and Luger to steal a nearby police car and chase after the speeding limo with it. The nearby police officer (who gives no effort to keep them from stealing the car, by the way) puts out an APB on the limo. After the match, The New World Order (Hall, Nash, "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan) show up and attack everyone. The Giant shows up, but instead of making the save for The Dungeon of Doom, he hits Meng and The Barbarian with the choke slam, revealing The Giant as the other mystery man The New World Order has mentioned and causing him to turn heel as a result. "Macho Man" Randy Savage tries to attack everyone in the nWo with a steel chair, but he quickly falls to the numbers game. Hogan spray paints a yellow streak down Savage's back after the beatdown. The New World Order then take over the broadcast booth again, and Hogan says there are more than five men. The Giant says that Ted DiBiase gave him a ton of money to join The New World Order after he saw multiple Harley-Davidson motorcyles and Mercedes-Benz automobiles in DiBiase's mansion as he and the rest of the nWo spit on the Monday Nitro logo that hung on the broadcast table. Before The Giant can finish, the WCW locker room goes after the nWo, but the nWo finish them off. The show ends with the nWo completely destroying the broadcast booth and a shot of The Dungeon of Doom helping Savage to the back.

Juventud Guerrera beats Billy Kidman in his Nitro debut. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Guerrera after the match, and he unintentionally receives the ire of the fans as soon as he starts speaking Spanish.
Jim Powers and Marcus Bagwell - the former now being managed by Theodore Long - almost beat The Dungeon of Doom (The Taskmaster and Big Bubba), but Big Bubba gets the shoulder up very close to the three count that it is too close to call. Taskmaster and Bubba take advantage of the fact that Powers and Bagwell are celebrating after the match is restarted, and Teddy Long berates Nick Patrick for his officiating of the match afterwards. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Bubba, Taskmaster and Jimmy Hart. Bubba says he should be getting the gold and all of the title shots after how he kicked out. He also asks when Glacier is showing up, as vignettes are still airing yet Glacier has yet to appear, as he wants a piece of him. Jimmy Hart says that Glacier may be saying blood runs cold, but the only thing running will be Glacier. The Taskmaster accuses Okerlund of hanging out with "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan a week ago, and says The Four Horsemen have another thing coming if they think they're the last line of defense against The New World Order (Nash, Hall, Hogan). As for whether or not Taskmaster is greasing the palm of Nick Patrick, The Taskmaster says that everyone is entitled to a mistake, including Okerlund and Hogan.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael have challenged them, and they've accepted the challenge, and Luger dares them to come and get it. Sting says this is just to test them, and Sting has the feeling they don't trust them. He says Benoit and Mongo have made a mistake questioning their intestinal fortitude. As for The New World Order (Hall, Nash, Hogan), Luger says they don't back down from a challenge and have based their careers on that face.
Chavo Guerrero Jr. beats Mike Enos after Enos thumbs referee Randy Anderson in the eye as Chavo goes for a Figure Four Leg Lock and "Dirty" Dick Slater tries to take advantage only to be rolled up by Chavo with an inside cradle. The ref, still blinded, is unable to tell the difference between Enos and Slater and Chavo gets the win, much to Enos' dismay. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Chavo after the match, and Chavo calls out Diamond Dallas Page, saying Page fired him up when he whipped him last week with a belt, and says it's to teach Page how to lose with respect. He cannot wait to face Page at Fall Brawl, and says when you mess with one Guerrero, you mess with them all.

Chris Jericho's WCW debut against "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright is declared a no-contest after Wright hits his head on the metal guardrail and Jericho tells the referee he does not want to continue the match in this fashion. "Mean" Gene Okerlund shows up and calls Jericho's debut a breath of fresh air. Jericho says he came to WCW to fight to the best of his ability, and winning by count-out as Wright is lying on the floor holding his head is not the best of his ability. He has a lot of respect for Wright, and says that someone from The New World Order like "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan - someone he used to admire - would win in such a fashion. He says that he and Alex will fight their hearts out for WCW.

Fans throw trash into the ring as The New World Order celebrate before they take over the commentary area.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan beats Mike Enos. During the match, it is noticed that there are four empty chairs in the front row opposite the hard camera, and it is assumed that they are meant for the New World Order (Hall, Nash, Hulk Hogan). "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Duggan after the match, and says Hulk Hogan turned his back on everyone and everything, including himself, and wants to know why he turned his back on it all. He admits Hogan is a great technical wrestler, but he doesn't want to wrestle him. Instead, he wants to beat him up.
This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair! The Giant vs. Brian Knobbs! "The Crippler" Chris Benoit vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage!
During the next match, Jimmy Hart runs to a cameraman, telling him to head to the back because The Outsiders (Hall and Nash) are in the back. When we finally see the backstage camera footage, we see Hall and Nash attack "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, The American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs) and Rey Mysterio Jr. All six men in the current match - "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Sting, Lex Luger, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael - leave the ring and rush straight to the back. Savage jumps onto the roof of Hall and Nash's limousine in an attempt to get to them. Wrestlers and medical staff alike check on all those hurt. Rey Mysterio Jr. tells his Cruiserweight Division contemporaries that there were four men involved and not three, and Woman finds out that The Enforcer was attacked with a baseball bat. Rey Mysterio Jr.'s mask is removed after he is placed on a stretcher, and Rey puts his hands over his face as he is placed in the ambulance. Everyone else is placed on a stretcher. Meng nearly picks a fight with Chris Benoit, but Jimmy Hart defuses the situation. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan refuses to do the broadcast unless he can be guaranteed he cannot be hurt due to his previous neck surgery and nerve ending damage. Eric Bischoff tells Heenan to do what he feels is right, as he refuses to argue with him on this point, and Heenan leaves. Tony Schiavone and "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko stay with Bischoff for the commentary for the second hour. The American Males are supposed to be out for the next match, but due to The Outsiders, they are incapacitated. The crowd chants "boring" briefly, and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is placed in an ambulance. Ric Flair and Woman tag along with Anderson. Bagwell is placed in the same ambulance as Anderson, and Sting tags along with him.

Eddie Guerrero beats Big Bubba, who replaces Rey Mysterio Jr. in what was supposed to be a match for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship when Jimmy Hart tossing his microphone to Big Bubba to use as a weapon backfires.
We see an announcement from The New World Order (Hulk Hogan, Hall, Nash). They say that the New World Order is invitation-only, and that there's no stopping their takeover of World Championship Wrestling. If anyone has any problems with them, they can fight them, but they are going down. As for who's the next to join the New World Order, there's no telling. They also say that WCW guys like Sting and Lex Luger are soft from living in "Billionaire Ted's country club" while they have had to fight, scratch and claw for everything they've got, and now they want WCW. Hulk Hogan then reminds everyone that he's facing The Giant for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on August 10th, and that he finds it ironic that the WCW would be so weak to beg and plead to The Giant that he's their only chance of survival. At Hog Wild, The Outsiders become the insiders. Hall then says he and Nash will take care of a little grudge match, and tells Sting and Lex Luger to bring it at Hog Wild. Hulk then says that The Giant will crumble and fall at his feet while Hall and Nash crush the top guys in WCW.
It is announced that Eric Bischoff has left the commentary table for the remainder of the hour, having taken off for the hospital to check on those injured by The Outsiders (Hall and Nash).
The Giant retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Giant, who mocks Hogan to explain how he conned a nation. He says he got everyone to believe him, but he didn't believe himself, and he started the New World Order because he couldn't be the big fish in WCW. As he defended the title with honor, Hulk was out making movies. He says if WCW doesn't hang together, we will all hang separately, and he tells Hogan he has a chokeslam noose that will fight around his neck. Jimmy Hart promises that The Giant will take him out at Hog Wild.

We see an announcement from The New World Order (Hulk Hogan, Hall, Nash). They say that the New World Order is invitation-only, and that there's no stopping their takeover of World Championship Wrestling. If anyone has any problems with them, they can fight them, but they are going down. As for who's the next to join the New World Order, there's no telling. They also say that WCW guys like Sting and Lex Luger are soft from living in "Billionaire Ted's country club" while they have had to fight, scratch and claw for everything they've got, and now they want WCW. Hulk Hogan then reminds everyone that he's facing The Giant for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on August 10th, and that he finds it ironic that the WCW would be so weak to beg and plead to The Giant that he's their only chance of survival. At Hog Wild, The Outsiders become the insiders. Hall then says he and Nash will take care of a little grudge match, and tells Sting and Lex Luger to bring it at Hog Wild. Hulk then says that The Giant will crumble and fall at his feet while Hall and Nash crush the top guys in WCW.
It is announced that Eric Bischoff has left the commentary table for the remainder of the hour, having taken off for the hospital to check on those injured by The Outsiders (Hall and Nash).
The Giant retains the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Greg "The Hammer" Valentine. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Giant, who mocks Hogan to explain how he conned a nation. He says he got everyone to believe him, but he didn't believe himself, and he started the New World Order because he couldn't be the big fish in WCW. As he defended the title with honor, Hulk was out making movies. He says if WCW doesn't hang together, we will all hang separately, and he tells Hogan he has a chokeslam noose that will fight around his neck. Jimmy Hart promises that The Giant will take him out at Hog Wild.

Anderson says that "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who is not here at the moment, loves to make an entrance and will show up right on cue. Mongo says it's been his pleasure to take care of a few pretty boys in WCW, and now is his chance to get at the real pretty boys - "Macho Man" Randy Savage, Sting and Lex Luge - and he can't wait to get at them tonight. Benoit says that Savage, Sting and Luger will experience "The Crippler" first-hand tonight.

Everyone else was in Japan while the New World Order was out to play. Sting, and now they want the Horsemen to make a stronger statement. Sting says Hulk Hogan can stick it, and as far as Ric Flair goes, he doesn't care where he is. He just wants one of The Four Horsemen (Flair, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit) in the ring tonight. Savage says he wants Hogan, Flair and The Outsiders (Hall and Nash) here so he can take care of business all in one night.

The Dungeon of Doom (Meng, The Barbarian, Hugh Morrus and new recruit Braun the Leprachaun) vs. The Renegade, Joe Gomez, Jim Powers and "Das Wunderkind" Alex Wright is precluded by outside events. It is announced after the match begins that there is a disturbance backstage, and we find out that The Outsiders (Hall and Nash) are in the master control room of the production truck, where they hijack the camera room and pan through the crowd as they say that they're looking for somebody. Security is called not long after Hall and Nash are spotted, and are escorted out of the production truck. When the camera returns to the match, Theodore Long shows up and gives a Jim Powers a pep talk, who tells him to get out there and show them what he's made of. When he makes a comeback, however, The Giant shows up and choke slams everyone not in the Dungeon of Doom save for Teddy Long. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Giant and Jimmy Hart after the carnage, and when asked if he accepts Hulk Hogan's challenge for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, he says that he vowed to defend the title whenever and wherever he has to, and says that he's wreaked havoc in WCW and became the cancer nobody could cure while Hogan was making moves, and that at Sturgis, South Dakota, he will choke slam him in the middle of the ring, thereby accepting Hogan's challenge at Hog Wild. Jimmy Hart says The Giant will be ready for Hog Wild.

After the commercial break, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson is seen peering into a white limousine. He then heads to the ring and huddles with "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Steve "Mongo" McMichael, effectively taking the place of "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

Before the show begins, Diamond Dallas Page shows up and says that the Lord of the Rings ring has been stolen, and that he wants the arena closed and everyone strip searched until the ring is found.
The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson) are seen in the VIP section along with Debra McMichael, Woman and Miss Elizabeth during the next match. Also, Col. Robert Parker shows up at ringside in Harlem Heat's corner during the match.
Harlem Heat (Booker T and Stevie Ray) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) after Col. Robert Parker hits Rick Steiner off the top rope with his cane to stop a double team attempt.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson) along with Debra McMichael, Woman and Miss Elizabeth in the VIP lounge. We learn that The Four Horsemen will be taking on Joe Gomez, The Renegade and The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson). Debra says that Mongo is one of the best athletes ever to compete, and hopes that he makes more money in WCW than he ever did in the NFL. Miss Elizabeth says there's plenty of money to go around, and Woman asks Miss Elizabeth to hire a full-time driver. Anderson says what while we may not see the Supreme Court in the VIP lounge, they still run the wrestling world, and for the first time since the mid-1980s, they're at full strength. Benoit calls himself "silent but violent." Mongo says he's happy to be a Horseman, and says that "money makes the monkey dance." Flair, upon hearing that "Macho Man" Randy Savage is in the building and restrained before his match, mocks Savage. and asks him what he's going to do now.
Before the next match, Disco Inferno says he knows everyone wants to see him dance, and asks the crowd if they want to see him dance. As he is about to dance, however, Kurasawa shows up.
Disco Inferno beats Kurasawa after Disco's music plays, a guy in an Elvis Presley jumpsuit shows up and dance, and the disco ball drops down so he can smack a distracted Kurasawa in the back with it while the referee is distracted by the guy in the jumpsuit.

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan notices Diesel and Razor Ramon showing up with popcorn and soda from the concession stand, and when told to leave, they reveal that they have bought tickets for the show and are left alone.

Hart says that this is just an example of what will happen to "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson at Bash at the Beach. Big Bubba mocks Tenta, and challenges him to a sock on a pole match, and whoever gets the sock full of nickels will be the first to use it. The Giant tells Tenta that leaving The Dungeon of Doom was his first mistake, and he made him pay for that mistake. He also says that The Four Horsemen are jealous, and that all four of them will leave Bash at the Beach in pieces. We see a video package of Rey Mysterio Jr. The video package is cut short when Diesel and Razor Ramon get a hold of a mike and make fun of Eric Bischoff. Security quickly move into place as Razor Ramon and Diesel are escorted away, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage tries to get a piece of both men. Diamond Dallas, Big Bubba, The Taskmaster, Rick Steiner and Jimmy Hart also show up for the proceedings. Diesel and Razor are escorted out of the building, and after a minute or two, Savage tries to go after them only to be stopped by security.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan...who has just found Diamond Dallas Page's ring in the men's room and will bring it back to DDP if he wants it. DDP shows up and calls Hacksaw a thief, and accuses him of stealing his ring. Hacksaw hands him his ring back, then punches him in the face after he picks it back up.
The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson) beat Joe Gomez, The Renegade and The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Roberts Gibson) after McMichael tosses the metal briefcase into The Renegade's leg as The Renegade is on the top rope, allowing Ric Flair to make The Reneage tap out to the Figure Four Leg Lock. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Horsemen, and Mongo says that they are his team and that he will do whatever it takes for them to win at any level. Benoit tells The Taskmaster that the voice of experience hasn't spoken to him loud enough, and tells The Giant that the gold is coming back where it belongs. Anderson says that The Horsemen to start taking a body count as they are back in full force and ready to reap the windfall. Flair tells Konnan that he will be the United States champ one more time, and tells The Taskmaster and The Giant they're going to get what's there. Debra McMichaels and Miss Elizabeth don't plan on missing what happens at Bash at the Beach for the world.
The show ends with policemen having to keep Diesel and Razor Ramon out of the building again.

This Saturday on Saturday Night: The American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell and Scotty Riggs) vs. The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson)! Diamond Dallas Page! Chris Benoit vs. Cobra! Sting, Lex Luger and "Macho Man" Randy Savage in six-man tag action!
We see a video package of Rey Mysterio Jr. The video package is cut short when Diesel and Razor Ramon get a hold of a mike and make fun of Eric Bischoff. Security quickly move into place as Razor Ramon and Diesel are escorted away, and "Macho Man" Randy Savage tries to get a piece of both men. Diamond Dallas, Big Bubba, The Taskmaster, Rick Steiner and Jimmy Hart also show up for the proceedings. Diesel and Razor are escorted out of the building, and after a minute or two, Savage tries to go after them only to be stopped by security.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan...who has just found Diamond Dallas Page's ring in the men's room and will bring it back to DDP if he wants it. DDP shows up and calls Hacksaw a thief, and accuses him of stealing his ring. Hacksaw hands him his ring back, then punches him in the face after he picks it back up.
The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, Steve "Mongo" McMichael, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson) beat Joe Gomez, The Renegade and The Rock 'n Roll Express (Ricky Morton and Roberts Gibson) after McMichael tosses the metal briefcase into The Renegade's leg as The Renegade is on the top rope, allowing Ric Flair to make The Reneage tap out to the Figure Four Leg Lock. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Horsemen, and Mongo says that they are his team and that he will do whatever it takes for them to win at any level. Benoit tells The Taskmaster that the voice of experience hasn't spoken to him loud enough, and tells The Giant that the gold is coming back where it belongs. Anderson says that The Horsemen to start taking a body count as they are back in full force and ready to reap the windfall. Flair tells Konnan that he will be the United States champ one more time, and tells The Taskmaster and The Giant they're going to get what's there. Debra McMichaels and Miss Elizabeth don't plan on missing what happens at Bash at the Beach for the world.
The show ends with policemen having to keep Diesel and Razor Ramon out of the building again.
