Raw Deal - Raw recap for May 26, 2025

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins, Bron Breakker, "Big" Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman head to the ring to start tonight's show. Heyman puts Breakker and Bronson on a pedestal while introducing them as only he can, and also mentions that CM Punk is not here thanks to Bronson Reed, who Heyman says is considered so dangerous by WWE that WWE will not put top tier talent in front of him. He then praises the sacrifices that Rollins has made to make the business bigger and better than ever, calling Rollins the most generous man he has ever met in his life. The fans chant "We want Roman" before Rollins says the four of them are not just the vision, but his vision and his way of securing the future through total control, total domination and complete power. The fans then chant "You sold out!" before Rollins proclaims he said what he was going to do at WrestleMania and did it, and when the fans chant "Fuck you, Rollins!", Rollins accuses the fans of questioning his integrity five minutes after singing his song. The fans then sing his entrance theme again, and Rollins finds humor in the situation, saying the fans do not know right from left and that they consider him the bad guy when he is the only one capable of leading WWE into the future. He says that the power he seeks comes through championships, and that he would have the World Heavyweight Championship if it were not for Sami Zayn and CM Punk. This leads to another "CM Punk" chant, and Rollins states that Punk found out what happens to those who underestimate him, and that Sami Zayn will find out tonight, as he has found something more powerful than championships: the Money in the Bank Briefcase. Rollins announces that he will qualify for Money in the Bank, win the contract, and cash in when, how and who he wants, and that nobody will be able to stop him, calling it complete domination and total power.

El Hijo del Vikingo is seen in the crowd.

Penta beats Chad Gable and Dragon Lee in a men's Money in the Bank Triple Threat qualifier. During the match, Vikingo stares down Gable from the front row, and Gable eventually attacks him after avoiding a speeding tope suicida from Dragon Lee. Later on, Vikingo attacks Gable as he is on the top rope, and Penta soon gets the win and a slot in the men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match with the Penta Driver on Gable.

The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Carlito, Raquel Rodriguez) meets backstage. Roxanne Perez shows up, but so does Liv Morgan, who knows what is going on thanks to Raquel before heading out to get a women's Money in the Bank qualifier match.

WWE acknowledges the Memorial Day holiday in the United States.

Rusev quickly beats Akira Tozawa by submission with the Accolade. After the match, Rusev refuses to let go of the hold before Sheamus shows up and confronts him. Rusev walks away, but not without continuing to stare Sheamus down on his way out.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura. Both men plug their shows on Netflix before Kreischer runs off and finds The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik).

Backstage, Sami Zayn speaks with "Main Event" Jey Uso, saying he should have gone after Seth "Freakin'" Rollins at the start of the show, but Jey Uso says they must be smart about their actions. He tells Sami that he must qualify for Money in the Bank, and that he will be there if Rollins' group tries something.

Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura are seen in the crowd.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) retain the World Tag Team Championships against American Made (Julius and Brutus Creed) and The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik) after Xavier Woods grabs the tights while pinning Julius Creed with a schoolkid pin as The New Day have American Made convinced that they are temporarily working together against The War Raiders.

Backstage, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez run into Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane. Liv mocks them before Iyo tells them to keep walking, and when Liv says that she will do something Kairi could not and qualify for Money in the Bank, Kairi challenges Liv to a match.

"Main Event" Jey Uso heads to the ring. Jey says that Logan Paul and John Cena will "get yeeted on" at Money in the Bank before Gunther shows up. Gunther congratulates Jey on retaining against Logan Paul and on fifteen years in WWE, and says that Jey has held on to the World Heavyweight Championship longer than he expected and commends him on wanting to be "captain of the ship" on Raw. He admits that Jey has great qualities for a human being, but states that those are terrible qualities for a champion and that Jey does not know better, as being World Champion does not come natural to him. Gunther says he was champion for almost a year because he only had himself to care about, and that Jey does not have the intellect to carry himself as a great champion, and in two weeks, he will relieve him from that position and make things right when he chokes him out. Jey says he is done with everyone saying his days as champion are numbered and using the title as an excuse to turn one's back on friends and family, as he fights for them and they fight for him. He says that what Gunther is fighting for is less than what he fights for, and that he has Gunther figured out. He says he will see him in two weeks, and that at the end of the day, he fights for the fans and he will make him tap him out again.

Three-time Stanley Cup Champion Patrick Maroon, rapper Waka Flocka Flame, and Titus O'Neil are seen in the crowd.

Kairi Sane beats Liv Morgan by countering Ob-Liv-Ion with a schoolkid pin after Raquel Rodriguez argues with Roxanne Perez.

We hear from Rhea Ripley, who plans to be on top again after winning the Money in the Bank contract, and advises Iyo Sky and Tiffany Stratton to hold their titles tightly, as nobody is safe from "Mami in the Bank."

Backstage, Liv Morgan confronts Roxanne Perez, then says Raquel Rodriguez should have known better, as she is the veteran.

Lyra Valkyria heads to the ring. Lyra wishes she was facing a new challenger for the Women's Intercontinental Championship, then says Becky Lynch has talked herself into a title rematch at Money in the Bank. She says she has nothing left to prove by beating her twice, and while she felt like the ultimate winner against all her other challengers, she felt no satisfaction after beating Becky, who acted like she won the match afterwards. Lyra says she just wanted to pin Becky to the mat for three seconds at Backlash, but she got in her fiancée's face and tried to take her out, and now, it is personal. Lyra then says she will hurt Becky at Money in the Bank and break her ego, and if she has to bash her head in, then she will do it. Becky shows up and says Lyra cost her her opportunity, and says that she was done with her, saying that while Lyra won the match, she won the night, and says Lyra cannot let things go because she is the best thing to ever happen to Lyra and her title. Lyra tells Becky that this is not how it works and that people are talking about her because she beat Becky, and Becky proposes that if Lyra can beat her again, she will never challenge her for the Women's Intercontinental Championship again. Lyra says she has no problem with that, especially after she beat her the second time around with her eyes closed. Becky also says that if she wins, Lyra has to look her in the eye and raise her hand like she did for her when she beat her for the NXT Women's Championship. Lyra says she has never had a problem raising the hand of anyone who has ever beaten her, then says that Becky has yet to beat her.

Backstage, Sami Zayn runs into Karrion Kross, but Sami tells Karrion he has no time for his mind games. Karrion tells Sami that he will never win the title as Sami walks away, but Sami tells Karrion he will deal with him later.

Seth "Freakin'" Rollins beats Finn Balor and Sami Zayn in a men's Money in the Bank qualifier after Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed take out Sami Zayn as well as "Main Event" Jey Uso when the latter comes out of the entrance to fight Breakker and Bronson. As this goes on, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio shows up to pass a metal folding chair to Finn Balor, but Rollins sends Finn into the chair face-first with The Stomp to win the match and qualify for Money in the Bank. After the match, CM Punk shows up as Rollins has Breakker and Bronson do more damage, and Punk shows up from behind Rollins to hit him with a GTS as Breakker, Bronson and Paul Heyman block the front entryway. Punk flees through the crowd to end the show.

Security has to get between both sides.

Cheeseburger and Jushin "Thunder" Liger beat The Dawgs (Rhett Titus and Will Ferrara).

Dalton Castle says so many questions are in the air, and one of them is who the next challenge for the ROH World Championship will be, considering "The Villain" Marty Scurll claims he has a shot at the title after beating and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes claims the same and also holds a victory over him. Regardless of whoever it is, he is more than ready to get in the ring with either of them.

We see a video package chronicling the recent events between Dalton Castle, "The Villain" Marty Scurll and "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes.

We hear from SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky), who have lost the six-man tag team titles as well as any leverage to keep their jobs after Final Battle. Kazarian there is nothing they will not do to take the titles back. Scorpio Say says he will never get tired of beating up The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), and they have a score to settle with The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan). Daniel say The Kingdom may be the first six-man tag champions and Bullet Club (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, "Hangman" Adam Page) may be the most popular six-man team, but they are the best.

We hear from "The Last Real Man" Silas Young, who says there are two kinds of people : those who are proud of the work and those who whine and cry until they are given what they want. He says that the latter best describes Austin Aries, who gets a shot at the ROH World Television Championship despite not being in the company for years. Next week, everyone will find out why he is not only "The Last Real Man," but also why "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" is the biggest joke he's ever heard.

SoCal Uncensored ("Almighty" Christopher Daniels, "The Heavy Metal Rebel" Christopher Daniels, Scorpio Sky) beat The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia, TK O'Ryan) by disqualificaiton after Kazarian swings a steel chair only to hit the top rope, causing it to rebound and hit Karazian in the head. After Bobby introduces him twice, Bully Ray just tells him to get out of the ring.

Bully Ray beats The Boys in a handicap match after demanding a five count.

Before the next match, Kenny King says he has been looking forward to tonight's match for two reasons: he gets to wrestle in London, England and he gets to beat a man up and his wife gets to watch. He then decides to raise the stakes since "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes loves money: if Kenny wins, he is "All In." Cody takes the microphone and tells the fans it is all up to them, and the fans want the challenge. Cody accepts on the condition that Kenny King does not give his spot in All In to Flip Gordon. The fans chant for Flip, however, and Cody changes the condition that if Kenny King wins, Kenny and Flip will both be at All In. Kenny accepts.

"The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes beats Kenny King. During the match, Kenny King tries to hand Brandi Rhodes a rose in response to her kissing him months ago; Cody attacks Kenny and hands the rose to her. Later on in the match, Brandi distracts Kenny King by throwing down the rose and stomping on it, allowing Cody to hit Cross Rhodes for the win. After the match, Cody announces All In, the show he has self-financed with The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) for September 1st. Suddenly, Nick Aldis shows up in a suit and tie, and says that while Cody calls himself "The American Nightmare," he still believes in the American dream. He introduces himself, then says nightmares are for children while he has personified the American dream and smashes ceilings for British wrestlers all over the world. Since December 9, 2017, he has defended the NWA World Heavyweight Championship from coast to coast and across continents against any and all challengers in an attempt to restore the legacy, tradition and prestige etched in stone by Dory Funk Jr. Jack Brisco, Terry Funk, Harley Race, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, and "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. He then says that if anyone is asking whether Cody is a worhty challenger for the world's oldest wrestling title, it is a resounding "yes" from him. He then says he can look Cody in the eye and says that he is a game-changer and that he has admired him and the way he has done business until now. Cody challenged for his title without speaking to him, and says that all he had to do was ask him as he does not back down form a challenge and he respects everything Cody and The Young Bucks have done. He says that Cody is a gambler who bet on himself and went all in, but he wants his NWA World Heavyweight Championship, and that makes him the dealer. Nick Aldis proposes that they make a deal right now, and Cody says it is nice to meet Aldis and that he certainly looks and acts the part; however, he is presumptuous about him and he is not interested in the NWA World Heavyweight Championship because of its past history; he is interested in it for himself. He does say that Nick Alids is right when he said that he never talked to him, and asks Aldis to allow him to ask if he is all in. Cody extends his hand, but Aldis takes the microphone and says he is on one condition. It has come to his attention that between himself and All In, Cody has another shot at the ROH World Championship. if Cody is all in, then he should be in, and if he is successful in winning the ROH World title, then it should be put on the line in their match at All In along with the NWA World title. Cody accepts. Aldis then says he is officially all in, and he shakes hands with Cody and leaves.

Dalton Castle retains the ROH World Championship against EVIL. During the match, EVIL backs Dalton Castle into referee Todd Sinclair, which allows Evil to grab the ROH World Championship and attempt to use it as a weapon. The Boys try to take the title from him, but after EVIL kicks The Boys away, EVIL runs right into a Bang-a-rang by Dalton Castle. Castle goes for the pinfall, but Sinclair is still dazed outside of the ring. EVIL manages to nail Castle with the ROH World Championship, but Castle kicks out. EVIL goes for Everything Is Evil, but Castle counters it into an inside cradle to retain. After the math, EVIL rakes Castle in the eyes.

During the match, Daniels pulls the referee out of a pinfall attempt by Bullet Club, and one of the Jackson twins tries to kick kick Daniels in teh face from the apron only to inadvertently nail the referee. Another referee runs into the ring when Daniels goes for a pinfall, but Taven drags him out of the ring. Daniel hits both Taven and the second referee with an Arabian press. He says that he cannot afford to make mistakes, and tells Prazak not to call him "vulnerable" again.

Backstage, Simon Diamond says he has been in ECW for one year but is still considered a comedy act. He tells himself that he needs to align himself with the same blue chip athletic ability as him. He is then approached by The Protege, The Protegette and The Musketeers from the stalls. Suddenly, Johnny Swinger shows up and tells him his problem is solved. Simon tells himself that he does not have a problem anymore.

We hear from The Sinister Minister, who says the wrestling world is concerned about Mikey Whipwreck's "new devil-may-care attitude" when Big Sal E. Graziano storms in and demands from The Sinister Minister Mikey's whereabouts. All of a sudden, Big Sal is blinded with a fireball by Mikey. The Sinister Minister tells Mikey he would tell him to take a leak on him, but it would put out the fire. Mikey laughs at the thought of The Sinister Minister nearly getting beaten up.

Backstage, Steven Prazak interviews "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer, but Dreamer just tosses him out of the room.

Before the next match, Cyrus shows up with The Network (Steve Corino, Jack Victory, Scotty Anton). He says nobody cares about the chairs or tables and that The Network is all the show needs, and that "Mr. Nielsen is popping one off right now." As The Network claps in celebration, Cyrus says he is proud of Scotty Anton, as the network is planning on getting behind him and Anton is considered "a quality human being." He says that Anton has lived in the shadow of one Rob Van Dam, and that for too long, Anton has been known simply as "Rob Van Dam's best friend." Cyrus announces that from this point forward, he will be known as "Rob Van Dam's bitch," except when he shows what Rob Van Dam's friendship was worth to The Network. Cyrus then asks Anton to tell the fans who he is, and Anton says he is here to give every one of the fans "the clap" before The Network claps. Cyrus then tells Anton that he knows he is a fighter, but ever since he joined The Network, they have had "some action with the ladies," and he wants him to concentrate on being a lover and giving people "the clap." Cyrus then says that with the network, it is all about the ratings and that having two wrestlers with the same hair color is "a ratings killer." He then introduces Jerry Lynn - who is now back in action - to the ring for the next match.

Jerry Lynn beats Tajiri following interference from The Network (Cyrus, Steve Corino, Jack Victory, Scotty Anton). After the match, The Network gangs up on Tajiri and attacks him, then Rob Van Dam shows up and fights them off until he is floored by Anton and put in the Sharpshooter. Tajiri fights back against The Network and spits red mist into Anton's face. Rob Van Dam then takes out The Network with a somersault over the top rope and almost hitting the back of the head on the floor in the process.

We see a video package of Dawn Marie.

After Francine slaps Raven, Raven is attacked by Justin Credible. "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer runs in, but Credible takes him down just as quickly before running away with Francine to end the show.

Onoo then says Chono willget his tonight, and no sooner does he say this that Madussa shows up and says she'll do anything for a shot at Akira Hokuto. Onoo gives her the shot at The Great America Bash, but if Madusa loses, Madusa's career is over. After being rushed to make an answer by Onoo, Madusa accepts the offer.

It is then revealed that The Great Muta has joined The New World Order.

The Barbarian beats Joe Gomez. "Mean" Gene Okerlund is about to interview Jimmy Hart and The Barbarian when "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Woman appear, wanting to know where The Taskmaster is. Benoit tells Jimmy Hart that he hopes The Taskmaster finds himself so he can do what he does best to him, and asks Hart what he has to do to get him back in the ring. Hart tells him the road to The Taskmaster lies in The Barbarian. Benoit immediately answers the challenge and gets in the ring, but Hart says they've got seven days to think about this. Nevertheless, the match is on for next week.

The Giant beats Johnny Swinger, Ron Fuller and Jerry Flynn in a 3-on-1 handicap match. "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Lex Luger and The Giant after the match, who have a shot at "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Dennis Rodman at Bash at the Beach in July yafter Hogan and Rodman signed an open contract. Luger says he's always been a fan of the NBA, but he's kept an eye on Dennis Rodman to see how he moves and thinks after stepping into WCW's domain and humiliated him. Luger says he and The Giant want the first shot at Hogan and Rodman, and tells Rodman to get ready because he has no idea what he's stepping into. The Giant tells Hogan that he's been hiding, but now he's in the building, he wants him to know well that what comes around, goes around, and The Giant is coming for him.

He then brags about the beating that he and The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) gave "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair last week before introducing Nash and Hall. Hall says it brings back memories seeing Flair get tossed around "like the dirtbag he is" after they gave him a reality check. Nash says that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper could only make him and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan go to sleep if they tied them up in recliners and had them watch his next movie. He and Hall then decide to put the tag team titles on the line, and want to defend them against Piper and Flair, joking that maybe they'll put one of their dialysis machines on the line in exchange. He then tells Piper that since he didn't retire like he told his son Colton he would, they will retire him themselves. Hall then declares Nashville, Tennessee to be nWo territory.

Jarrett and Debra McMichael show their disappointment with Mongo after the match.

"Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff show up. Hogan says that the "nWo World Heavyweight Championship" is on the line and The New World Order has Sting cornered, and calls Sting out so he can receive the whupping that he deserves. Bischoff says that Sting isn't here, and that if he was, they would make him worship the ground Hogan spits on. As Hogan says Sting wants to be like him, Sting pops out from the underside of the ring and points his bat at Hogan and Bischoff. Bischoff tells Sting to get down on his knees, and this Sting gets down on his knees, revealing that this Sting is a fake, and when Bischoff asks this Sting if he wishes he was half the man that Hogan is, he shakes his head yes. Bischoff then tells Hogan to make this Sting worship the ground that Hogan spits on in, and as this Sting frovels, the real Sting rappels down to the ring and hits Bischoff with a reverse DDT. The real Sting makes Hogan trip over the fake Sting, and when the fake Sting swings his bat, the real one blocks it and hits him with the reverse DDT, too. Hogan then calls out the rest of the nWo, who appears at the entrance ramp, and Sting stands his ground as the nWo surrounds the ring. When they get in the ring, Sting rappels back up to the rafters as the show ends.
