Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 28, 2026

Grayson Waller makes a surprising return to start tonight's show. He talks about his debut, his match at WrestleMania 40, and says that something changed after that and the last two years became an embarrassment. He says he spent "240 lbs. of idiot" on his back making someone relevant again to the point that people chanted for them, and says that person (who is Austin Theory) is still allergic to the microphone. He then mentions his time in The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) without specifically mentioning them, saying he dressed for a funeral and the only thing dying was his career. He then says "It's a new day" and he is now in the best shape of his life, and says he needs to conquer some demons, one of which is the NXT Championship. He says that without the title, he has been treated like "a Netflix break comedy act" instead of the future of the industry, then addresses Mike Santana - under his new name of Cruz Montana - saying people will stop caring about him in six weeks. Grayson says he is not impressed with Montana, saying that being the best in Total Nonstop Action is like being the best basketball player in the YMCA. He also dares Tony D'Angelo to face him, saying that he has nobody left to face him. When told to wrap the promo up, Grayson Waller says that Shawn Michaels can send of his guys if he has a problem. He says that the NXT roster is soft, complacent and happy to be here, then says the only people ready for the main roster is the women's division. He then says some people put "NXT" in their social media bio just to waste their career in medical and that some of the indie talent are a bunch of charisma vacuums the moment they have a microphone, then says Shawn is smiling because he is telling the truth. Grayson says he is going to take the title, the division and any opportunity anybody else is supposed to have, because he is finally starting to remember who he is. His microphone then gets cut off. Grayson then gets in front of a camera just to say that he just took an opportunity and that everyone's cage is black. The show cuts to black immediately.

Backstage, Myles Borne and Tavion Heights talk about Grayson Waller before focusing on business. Mason Rook shows up and also mentions his irritation with Grayson's promo, then says he wants his hands on Kam Hendrix. Myles Borne tells Mason to stay out of his match, but Mason wants to kick Hendrix's ass.

Lizzy Rain beats Izzi Dame after being distracted by Niko Vance only for Niko to nearly be attacked with a metal folding chair by Shawn Spears.

Backstage, Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno meet Cruz Montana, then Saquon Shugars shows up. Noam Dar apologizes for the loss, but Saquon says they got their licks in, and Romeo says they would do it again. Noam and Romeo leave, and Montana confronts Saquon, who says that he is a different man now and asks him to let hit handle DarkState first before they settle things. Saquon leaves, and Kelani Jordan shows up and tells Montana that NXT is an unsafe working environment. Montana leaves as soon as Kelani turns her back.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone meets with The Vanity Project (Brady Baylor, Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake, Myka Lockwood), who mention that Myles Borne and Tavion Heights are not on their level and that Jackson Drake will soon be NXT Champion. They leave when Keanu Carver shows up - and after Myka Lockwood gets a good look at Carver - wanting a match with EK Prosper, which he gets. Keanu leaves before Stone gets a call from Grayson Waller, and Stone tells Grayson to return to the building because they are not finished.

We hear from Lola Vice, who says that Kendal Grey has no idea what she is getting into with their NXT Underground match like she does. She says that while Kendal Grey will run the women's division, but not while she is still here. She hopes to expose Kendal Grey and become a two-time NXT Women's Champion.

Backstage, Thea Hail meets with Jaida Parker and talks about last week, and Jaida thanks Thea for having her back when she is not the easiest person in the locker room to deal with. Thea returns the favor, then says that they will have a tag match with Nattie and Karmen Petrovic next week. Jaida Parker looks forward to it, and says that she has Thea's back after being the most trustworthy person in the locker room.

Myles Borne retains the NXT North American Championship against Kam Hendrix after Tavion Heights stops Mason Rook from interfering, allowing Borne to kick out of the Showtime Kick and hit Borne Again to win and retain. After the match, Tavion Heights lets Mason Rook go after Kam Hendrix, and as Rook and Hendrix brawl to the back, Borne and Tavion are attacked by The Vanity Project (Brady Baylor, Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) only to come out on top.

Backstage, Emily Agard interviews Lizzy Rain, who is eating some KFC Popcorn Chicken, saying that Shiloh Hill turned her on to it and that she could beat Izzi Dame all over again. Lizzy then hopes that Izzi Dame is in the rear view for her upcoming Triple Threat Match. Tristan Angels shows up and shows disappointment in Lizzy, then says that Lizzy will reconsider who her role mdoels are after he batters Shiloh Hill.

Backstage, OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) are met by Angel and Berto, who reminds Bronco Nima that while God forgives, Los Perros del Mal (Angel, Berto, Daga, Bronco Nima, Karmen Petrovic) do not. Bronco leaves, and Lucien Price follows after staring seemingly disapprovingly at Angel and Berto.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone takes a call from Grayson Waller, telling him to return to the building, then is met by Zaria, who wants to know who her next opponent is. Wren Sinclair shows up looking for her next opponent, and this soon leads to Wren Sinclair challenging an entitled Zaria - who believes she should not be in a tournament - in an attempt to be her next opponent. Stone has Wren defend her title against Zaria next week, and if she wins, she gets a future opportunity at the NXT Women's North American Championship. Zaria tells Wren to count her days and leaves.

Birthright (Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Uriah Connors) beats OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) after Angel and Berto show up, distrating Bronco to the point that he tells them not to get involved while Lucien gets double-teamed and pinned.

In this week's NXT Focus, we hear from Kendal Grey. She says her NXT Underground match next week will be her biggest match to date and that she is training with her father as well as Julius Creed to get ready. She says it is the best against the best with Lola Vice, and she knows she is better.

Backstage, Kali Armstrong says that should be her facing Kendal Grey. Izzi Dame reminds Kali Armstrong to wait her turn, as she just got here. As Kali says she waits for nothing. Kelani Jordan shows up and says that should have also been her. Reina Volcan shows up and says the division does not rebuild; it reloads.

Shiloh Hill beats Tristan Angels after Tristan is caught by the referee using the ropes for leverage.

Mike Santana - now going by the name Cruz Montana - heads to the ring. He declares that he is officially a WWE Superstar, then admits that there were times that he would not see tomorrow, as he came up in some of the toughest neighborhoods in New York City. He says that every day was a fight and a struggle to survive, and while he was no saint and made mistakes he would regret while he fought the man in the mirror, he wanted to be the man his daughter would be proud to call "father." Montana then talks about how he was told he reached his ceiling as a tag team wrestle, he started winning as a solo wrestler and rebuilt his career one step at a time. He says that he appreciates what Total Nonstop Action did for him. He then says that he stands here today as a WWE Superstar, and says that was not given to him. He says he is here not to give a spot, but to take a spot, and he plans to be NXT Champion. Montana then gives props to Grayson Waller's promo at the start of the show, then says that they can fight at any YMCA he wants before Tony D'Angelo shows up. D'Angelo welcomes Montana to NXT, interrupting Montana like Montana did to him last week to introduce himself properly before talking about how so many free agents have showed up and talked about how they will run NXT. D'Angelo says he believes Montana, but tells him the spot of NXT Champion is taken until further notice, but Montana has none of this and tells D'Angelo he will show him how he takes that spot. All of a sudden, Montana is shoved into D'Angelo from behihind, and Grayson escapes from Dead to Rights before avoiding a clothesline from Montana meant for him, causing Montana to hit D'Angelo instead.

She says she does not call herself "The Difference Maker" for no reason, and says that last week got to her after she watched Kendal Grey win the NXT Women's Championship. The only thing that went through her head as everyone cheered for Kendal was "There's my target," and says that she has been in the locker room and has heard it all about how some women do not get opportunities while others get them and blow it. Kali then says that once she flipped on Kendal Grey, everyone started talking about her, and that it was a matter of when, and not if, she leads the women's division and gets the NXT Women's Championship, and she has something for Kendal and Nattie. Lola Vice suddenly shows up and tells Lola Vice to slow her roll, and says that Kali did not do something just because she jumped Kendal, which she says makes Kali impatient. Jaida says she has beaten Karmen Petrovic, then says that she is close to where she wants to be and that Nattie is only her to make her career relevant again, which has gotten Nattie a shot at the NXT Women's CHampionship. Jaida also says both she and Nattie are trying to level up, and that for her to level up, she has to put Nattie down.

He says that DarkState will learn that he is up next and that they are up never.

Tavion Heights suddenly shows up in the ring. Tavion says he was not going to come out here, but he was thinking about all he said before The Great American Bash. He says he can be cocky and arrogant as well as a bad brother, but he has the potential to be great and he can admit when he is wrong. He then says that he came to NXT expecting success only to be humbled, and when Myles Borne got the success he expected, that only blinded him. Tavion then shows up wanting to apologize to Myles Borne man-to-man, but The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) shows up. Legacy says it takes time to build chemistry, and Van Dux says they will get there. Legacy and Van Dux then argue over whose name will come first when they become champions.

Niko Vance beats Shiloh Hill after Tristan Angels shows up and takes Shiloh Hill's fake tooth, distracting Shiloh and allowing Niko Vance to win. After the match, Shiloh chases Tristan to the back, and Shawn Spears shows up from behind Niko and blasts him in the back with a metal folding chair.

He says that it will be harder to stay champion than it was to become it, and he plans to walk out as North American Champion after Stand & Deliver. Myles Borne says that he is facing a SmackDown Superstar in Johnny Gargano and that he does not know what to expect from Gargano, but he hopes to get "Johnny Wrestling." Gargano shows up and takes over for Vic Joseph, and tells Borne that he used to be known as "Johnny Takeover," and if he becomes Johnny Takeover, he will eat Borne alive. He says that he will be the man he once was if he wins the North American Championship and that he will not know what he will do if he loses. Gargano claims that the cannot lay down and die, and that he must stand and deliver more than anyone knows.

Joe Hendry takes the contract and signs it as Saints and Ethan squabble over it, then admits he cannot wait to see who stabs the other back between them first, as they both cannot stand seeing the other as NXT Champion and their friendship will fall apart. Hendry says Saints and Ethan cannot separate passion from desperation, and while they are desperate to be NXT Champion again, he is passionate about being NXT Champion and being in NXT in Madison Square Garden. He then says he will take that passion and defend this championship, as he will be the one to stand and deliver despite what Saints and Ethan have in store while the fans chant "We Believe." Saints tells Hendry to stop overanalyzing their friendship, and while he and Ethan want the same thing, that does not mean they cannot support each other. He also says that the NXT Championship should belong to him, then says he will make things right when he takes the title back. Saints signs the contract and hands it to Ethan, who also agrees that everything will be right in the world as he has been focused on being the greatest North American until Saints reminded him of his true value and that he deserves global recognition. Ethan says he will be the one to be the champion for a second time and signs the contract, then Tony D'Angelo yells at Ethan and Saints to shut up and mentions Saints and Ethan's histories with the title, and says NXT is in his blood, unlike Hendry's. D'Angelo says he will run everyone over like a freight train at Stand & Deliver, then signs the contract before telling Robert Stone to get out of the ring for the inevitable brawl. Stone gets out of dodge and calls for security. D'Angelo and Ethan put Saints and Hendry through the two tables, and security has to break up what is left.

LaFleur says that he will be out for six months and will have to relinquish the WWE Speed Championship. Wren Sinclair shows up and says sorry to LaFleur, then Shiloh Hill shows up and laughs about what he did to Birthright (Lexis King, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Uriah Connors, Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace). Hank says this is not the time as they are not on Stand & Deliver and are on the outside looking in, then Shiloh says he is not on the show either, yet he has an idea.

Tatum Paxley heads to the ring. Paxley talks about how she grabbed Blake Monroe by her hair and realized that Blake is "a very complex woman," which excites her. She then calls out Blake Monroe to return the Women's North American Champonship, but Blake says she has no issue with Tatum when she shows up. Blake also says that the title feels right on her and that she never lost it in the first place, and that she cannot give it back. Tatum says Blake has something she wants, but she has something Blake wants. Tatum says Blake has the opportunity to appear at Stand & Deliver and that Blake crave the sense of belonging, which she says she has had and has caused her to do unbelievable harm while heading to place she never thought existed. Tatum proposes they face each other for the Women's North American Championship, and Blake considers Tatum the perfect co-star for the biggest show before accepting her challenge. Blake then makes it clear that they are polar opposites and that she is a polished woman and the standard of NXT while Tatum looks like one of the fans. Tatum makes it clear that while there is a bad side to Blake, there is a worse side to her, and she can be the goth to Blake's glamor and the fire to Blake's hell. This leads to both women playing tug-of-war with the Women's North American Championship, and while Tatum gets the better of Blake, Blake steals the title back.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews General Manager Robert Stone, who says that Stand & Deliver is stacked and that on the countdown, there will be a ten-person mixed tag match between Birthright (Lexis King, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Uriah Connors, Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace) and the team of Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, Wren Sinclair, Shiloh Hill and Eli Knight. Kendal Grey beats Lola Vice in an NXT Women's Championship #1 contender's match after countering a guillotine choke with a Northern Lights Suplex...almost. Before Kendal Grey can be declared the winner, another referee shows up and says that Kendal Grey tapped out to the choke, which was still applied, just before the count reached three. The pinfall is replayed, and Kendal Grey is seen tapping out to a still-applied guillotine choke despite the Northern Lights Suplex. Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) is watching from the bottom of the ramp as Shawn Michaels suddenly shows up and gets to the bottom of everything in the ring as the show ends.

Ricky Saints shows up on the balcony and says everybody has it twisted, and says that Hendry stole the NXT Championship from him and that it does not matter how good anyone is as long as they can sing. He says that he can see through Hendry and that he brings NXT and its championship down, and states that "a meme" is now holding the NXT Championship. Saints says everyone loves Hendry because they relate to being a loser like him, and says Hendry has no championship qualities that he has. Hendry says he deals in facts and that he is the best in NXT right now, but Saints says he is only the best at marketing. Saints says he is the number one guy because he has real fashion taste and does not give people fluff answers, and says that he has worked too hard to elevate NXT to let Hendry ruin that. Hendry says Saints will have no idea coming down to the ring if he is half as good as he says he is, and Saints says that they can do this at Vengeance Day for the NXT Championship. Hendry accepts the challenge and states that he will come out the winner and kick Saints' ass.

Afterwards, she debuted in the Royal Rumble, but all she heard about on the way home was about how Sol Ruca was in the final three, and Lainey Reid says that everyone could only talk about Sol Ruca. Jacy says Sol Ruca has been in everyone's faces and down everyone's throats, and that Sol Ruca only has a title shot because she sacrificed Zaria, and next week, she will not have Zaria and she will not have the NXT Women's Championship. She says that she won the women's title because she is the best woman in NXT and not because she flips every five seconds, then Sol Ruca shows up and says she has heard enough. Sol Ruca agrees that Jacy Jayne is jealous of her and that Jacy is the same person she was four years ago. Jacy says that Sol Ruca is just realizing that Sol Ruca has to dump her best friend to reach the top, and that she has no chance of winning her title Sol Ruca says that friends fight and that Zaria stands apart from her, and while Jacy has the women's title and her own little group, it is not enough. Sol promises to smash Jacy's soul, take her title, and prove that she is better than Jacy. Jacy slaps Sol Ruca, and Fatal Influence attacks her. Zaria then tells Fatal Influence to get Sol Ruca up only to hit Fallon with a Spear instead before laying all of Fatal Influence out. Zaria then helps Sol Ruca up, and the two of them hug it out.

Myles Borne passes by, and when Zaria asks if he is okay, he says "I know what I'm going to do now."

"All Ego" Ethan Page retains the NXT North American Championship against Shiloh Hill follwing the distraction by The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) and following two Twisted Grins, one on the exposed concrete on the outside and another in the center of the ring. After the match, The Vanity Project gangs up on Shiloh Hill, then Myles Borne shows up and lays them and Ethan Page out. Shiloh Hill wipes out The Vanity Project as Borne goes for the ground and pound on Ethan Page to beat a title shot out of him. General Manager Ava is in the ring with Kendal Grey, Lola Vice, Sol Ruca, Jordynne Grace and Kelani Jordan to start tonight's show. Sol Ruca says that John Cena sees her as a star and that she should see herself as one, and while the last year has had its highs and lows, winning at Deadline and getting a Women's title shot will give some peace back. Jordynne says that the path is not that simple, and that she will become champion after some near-misses. Lola says he has also been grinding, and while she has been screwed several times, she still believes in herself. Kendal says the only champion in the ring is her and that she has built her career on big moments, but Kelani interrupts her to tell her that she is swimming with sharks with blood in the water, which causes her to be heavily booed. Kelani says that she will be walking out as number one contender because everyone else is a stand-in while she is a standout. All of a sudden, Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) shows up. Jacy says she cannot wait to see who "the lucky loser" is going to be and that regardless of who wins, they will not take the NXT Women's Championship from her. Jacy then proceeds to mock everyone in the ring. Kelani says she would still be champion if not for "this meathead" Jordynne Grace, and when Jordynne gets in Kelani's face, this starts a brawl, and Sol Ruca, Lola Vice and Kendal Grey come out on top against Fatal Influence.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Thea Hail talks with Joe Hendry regarding the men's Iron Survival Challenge when Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grace show up to mock them. When Arianna calls Hendry and Thea a failure of a tag team without even so much as acknowledging that Thea is in the room, Thea challenges Arianna to a match.

Backstage, General Manager Ava is speaking with security when she runs into Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) and puts them in a six-woman tag match against Sol Ruca, Kendal Grey and Lola Vice before telling them to get ready right now.

Thea Hail beats Arianna Grace by submission with the Kimura Lock after Joe Hendry hits Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo with a Standing Ovation onto the ring apron for getting involved in the match.

In backstage footage from earlier today, OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) is nearly run over by a Tesla being driven by Uriah Connors, with Kale Dixon in the back seat. Andre Chase shows up and is immediately told by OTM that the next time they see Chase University, it is "on sight." Andre has to tell Dixon and Connors what just happened.

Backstage, General Manager Ava meets with Je'Von Evans, Joe Hendry, Leon Slater and Myles Borne when Robert Stone shows up with a box for Ava. Ava announces that whoever gets the pin in their eight-man tag match replaces Dion Lennox in the men's Iron Survivor Challenge; otherwise, Dion Lennox gets to pick which member of DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) is in his slot for the match. Ava then looks in the box and finds what looks like several pieces of black fabric.

Josh Briggs beats Tavion heights.

The Culling (Shawn Spears, Niko Vance, Izzi Dame) heads to the ring. Izzi says everyone loves Tatum Paxley because they are just like her and have no idea what to be alone, and while she gave her everything, she was so pathetic that she eventually had to stop saving her. She says she did not betray Tatum; instead, she corrected the mistake of thinking Tatum could stand beside her. She says that when everyone ignored Tatum, she carved purpose into her; in return, Tatum tripped over the same insecurities she tried to rip out of her. Izzi says that everything The Culling gave Tatum was not enough for her, and that Tatum could never have become NXT Women's Champion on her own, having only done so because she allowed her to. She says that at Gold Rush, she proved that she could take back everything she gave to Tatum, and at Deadline, it will be the two of them one-on-one. Izzi proclaims that she will finish things between them when Tatum shows up on the TitanTron. Tatum says that Izzi took the one thing that was stable in her life, and while Izzi says she did Tatum a favor, Tatum says she fears what she will become without Izzi's hand on her shoulder and that at Deadline, she will make her feel all of her pain.

Backstage, Sol Ruca apologizes to Zaria, but Zaria has none of it, saying that she had to process things after losing to Blake Monroe. Zaria takes offense to Sol Ruca not being there for her at Gold Rush and tells Sol Ruca not to expect her in her corner tonight.

We see the rules for the Iron Survivor Challenge matches.

Kendal Grey, Lola Vice and Sol Ruca beat Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) in a six-woman tag match after Sol Ruca ducks the Rolling Encore and hits the Sol Snatcher for the win. After the match, Zaria shows up and takes out Kendal Grey with a Spear, which causes Sol Ruca and Zaria to argue and Lola Vice to get between them.

In a video from "NXT Anonymous," Je'Von Evans talks with Ricky Saints regarding the men's Iron Survivor Challenge and their matches at Deadline.

Backstage, DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) meet. Dion Lennox hands his half of the NXT Tag Team Championships to Saquon Shugars, saying it would not be fair for him to hold all the gold. As this goes on, Oba Femi shows up and congratulates Dion Lennox on entering the Iron Survivor Challenge, but Lennox reminds Oba Femi that he blew him off and that he hopes to be the one to take Oba's title and knock his teeth down his throat.

OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) beat Chase University (Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors).

Backstage, General Manager Ava catches "All Ego" Ethan Page on his way out and reminds him that the North American Championship has not been defended since Halloween Havoc. As for his opponent, it is none other than Mr. Iguana, who scares Ethan out of his car before driving off in it.

We hear from Shiloh Hill again. Shiloh Hill talks about his Thanksgiving as well as a Thanksgiving memory where he was lost in the woods and found out that he was really good at surviving in the middle of nowhere. He also talks about having The Undertaker as a coach in LFG, then says that he will be back soon to finish up before looking for his bleach.

Je'Von Evans, Leon Slater, Myles Borne and Joe Hendry beat DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin). The match ends with Myles Borne making a blind tag as Slater hits Osiris with a Swanton 450 in order to hit Osiris with Borne Again, allowing him to take Dion Lennox's place in the Iron Survivor Challenge, much to Slater and Je'Von's chagrin.

General Manager Ava oversees the contract signing for Oba Femi vs. Ricky Saints for the NXT Championship at Deadline. Oba Femi signs, then tells Saints that the new version of him will destroy him and make him a footnote. Saints says that the fairytale is over and that there is an exception to the rule and the rules before signing. Ava then announces that their match will open Deadline.

Tyra Mae and Jasper will make their debuts in the coming weeks, but Jasper says that he will make an impact tonight.

We see a vignette of Jordynne Grace working out and talking about her upcoming match with Stephanie Vaquer. She says they are very similar and that they both traveled the world and sacrificed everything to enter WWE. She says there is no escape, and while both of them say they are the best, they will find out who is the best. Backstage, Lola Vice wishes Stephanie Vaquer luck, then Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley) show up and say they are the ones who will get the title shot. Lola is not impressed, and says that they both get in each other's way. Jacy proposes that Fallon face Lola in the ring, then Lola says she will see her out there.

Backstage, Trick Williams tells Joe Hendry that people break their necks to see him while Hendry breaks his neck so people can see him. Spears joins in, then Hank Walker and Tank Walker show up and even the numbers game to help Briggs clean house.

OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) beat Chase University (Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors).

Myles Borne heads to the ring. He is soon joined by Oba Femi. Oba says Myles is either stupid, brave or both, and is surprised that Myles has made it this far. He also finds Myles using the match to inspire others admirable, but misleading. He says life is cruel, and that good things do not always happen to good people, and while Myles is a good person, this is not a Disney movie and there is no happy ending. He says that the battle royal was the dream, and that on Sunday, Myles' dream will die when he destroys him. Myles says he may be here on his own, but he is not alone, as No Quarter Catch Crew has helped him trained and that he is inspiring people, but he is going to make a statement. He says he has been underestimated throughout his life, and while Sunday is the toughest match of his career, he has been battling his entire life. Myles says this is not a Disney movie, but leaders still fall. He then says that while he may be hard of hearing, the three count will be heard loud and clear. As Myles leaves, Oba is attacked by Jasper Troy, who retreats when Myles gets back in the ring. Myles offers to help him up, but Oba shoos him away. Myles then picks up the NXT Championship and hands it to Oba.

He talks about their history, and how being underboss was not good enough for him. He says that Stacks made his bed and that he will lay in it at Battleground when he breaks his face.

Lola Vice beats Fallon Henley after sending her into Jacy Jayne, causing Jacy's distraction to backfire before hitting the spinning back fist for the win.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Stephanie Vaquer. Stephanie says being the best does not come without sacrifice, and when she was not signed to WWE at first, she honed her craft around the world. She says being in NXT is a dream come true and knew she was born to be a WWE Superstar, and that it has all been worth it. She calls Jordynne Grace her toughest challenge, but she went through hell to become the best and made that hell her home.
