Kelani Jordan beats Wren Sinclair by submission with an STF after dragging Sinclair to the middle of the ring and wrenching back during the hold.

Backstage, Tatum Paxley talks with Lizzy Rain, saying that Zaria is obsessed. Shiloh Hill shows up with his Mr. NXT petition and says the amount of signatures is huge. Tristan Angels shows up and notes some of the famous names on the petition, then hopes Charlie Dempsey stretches some sense into Shiloh before leaving. Lizzy Rain leaves to focus on Zaria, and Shiloh tags along.

DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin) heads to the ring. Osiris Griffin says that Saquon Shugars was always the odd man out due to not having the football background the rest of DarkState had. Dion Lennox says that Saquon was an indy wrestler who knew his way around the ring, but Osiris says Saquon made things harder than necessary. Dion Lennox says that Saquon was an indy wrestler who knew his way around the ring, but Osiris says Saquon made things harder than necessary. Cutler says that success by the individual is success for the group, and that Saquon forgot that and became a liability. He says that Saquon went into every situation blind and was never prepared for the consequences, and for that, he failed DarkState, and last week was the last straw. Lennox says that could have been him, and says Saquon tried to turn DarkState against him due to his own jealously and belief that he was better. Lennox says John Cena picked him for the Iron Survivor Challenge and that he earned it. He says that the DarkState vehicle is for everyone and that he built it brick by brick, and says there is no DarkState without him and that he will not let Saquon tear it down. Osiris says that they are going back to what they do best when the lights go out, then Lennox warns everyone they have spared in the last few months and says that if it was not safe before, then no one has seen anything yet. (Instances of Saquon Shugars are crossed out in both LED board imagery as well as in post-promo footage.)

Backstage, Lola Vice meets with Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair at medical when Kali Armstrong shows up and mocks Kendal and Wren. Lola says that Kali has just gotten here and already has a big head, but Kali says that her eyes are on Lola's title and that she will be watching her tonight.

Backstage, Layla Diggs is met by Nattie, who thanks her for standing up to Jaida Parker before stating that she will be in her corner when she beats Jaida tonight.

Backstage, Blake Howard interviews Lexis King. Lexis King says the best athletes around the world are trying to catch up to him, then says Charlie Dempsey will make an example out of Shiloh Hill tonight before he proves he is the fastest man alive. Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer and Axiom) shows up, and Nathan Frazer says comparing Lexis's claim is like comparing a cheetah to a cow.

Tony D'Angelo heads to the ring. D'Angelo says the recent slew of fresh new faces in NXT makes things more interesting, but he notes that they want a shot at the champion. He then says it is his turn when he faces Kam Hendrix next week. D'Angelo says that he is not here to talk about Hendrix's potential or readiness, then proclaims that Hendrix will not be NXT Champion next week. He then addresses Naraku, stating that it is about time they meet face-to-face. Naraku shows up and heads to the ring, and D'Angelo tells Naraku to get straight to the point. Naraku says he wants to keep D'Angelo and his title safe, but D'Angelo does not buy it, and says he will take care of Hendrix before he takes care of him. Naraku says he will keep D'Angelo and his title safe because it is destiny that they go to war, then Kam Hendrix shows up and tells D'Angelo that he has seven days left before it is "Lights, Kam, Action" for the NXT Championship. Hendrix says that D'Angelo is running into a buzzsaw that he cannot stop, as he has beaten two former champions last week and he is about to beat a pillar of NXT next week. D'Angelo says Hendrix may be a premier athelte, but sees his title as a status symbol. D'Angelo tells Hendrix he sacrificed everything and spent five years in NXT to earn the NXT Championship, and yet he is facing someone who does not even deserve a shot at it. D'Angelo then tells Hendrix that beating him for the title is not going to happen, and when he turns his back to leave, Hendrix goes for a cheap shot only to be caught and tossed out of the ring by Naraku.

Backstage, Tavion Heights argues with Myles Borne over last week, and Myles tells Tavion that he needs to slow down or else they will both crash and burn. All of a sudden, they are both attacked by DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin).

Backstage, The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake, Myka Lockwood) brag about their victory last week when they run into Tate Wilder, who says that he only needed four stitches and will not be out at all. Jackson Drake says that Tate Wilder still has a lot to learn, and Tate Wilder challenges Jackson Drake to a match next week.

Backstage, Izzi Dame looks forward to becoming a champion while Shawn Spears and Niko Vance win their match, then asks where Spears is. Niko says that Shawn Spears must be getting ready, and leaves.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone speaks with Mason Rook. As Stone says that it is still possible for Mason Rook to still be in title contention, Naraku shows up and says he will not let anyone ruin Tony D'Angelo's NXT Championship match. Mason Rook says "We'll see."

Before the next match, Shawn Spears attacks OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) with a metal folding chair before the match can even begin.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Kali Armstrong, saying that she is picking her spots in NXT, and entertains winning both women's singles titles. Thea Hail shows up and says that is a heck of a dream, but Kali says that will soon be a reality for her.

Backstage, Shiloh Hill asks Zaria to sign his Mr. NXT petition. Zaria is not interested, and when she tells Shiloh to tell Tatum Paxley to sign it, Shiloh tells her that she should be more worried about Lizzy Rain before leaving. Zaria is then attacked from behind by Lizzy Rain.

Shiloh Hill beats Charlie Dempsey after pinning Dempsey's shoulders to the mat with a Northern Lights suplex. After the match, Tristan Angels tells Shiloh Hill that he is incensed with Shiloh calling himself "Mr. NXT," then says that he must teach him a lesson for the rest of his life, as Shiloh "cannot hack it in [his] domain." He says that there will be a "Mr. NXT" pageant where he will beat Shiloh once and for all. Shiloh says he cannot wait to embarrass Angels, and tells him to bring it on.

Backstage, Shawn Spears tells Izzi Dame that says he and Niko Vance should not have had a match on the same night as her championship match and that he was "doing the right thing," much to Izzi's chagrin.

Lola Vice retains the NXT Women's Championship against Izzi Dame. During the match, Shawn Spears grabs at Lola on the outside behind the ref's back, and while that allows Izzi to hit a Backstabber, Spears and Vance are soon attacked by OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price), who force them to the back. Later on, Izzi inadvertently knocks out the referee with a Busaiku Knee meant for Lola. At one point, Izzi uses the Women's title as a weapon by throwing it to Lola and booting the title into Lola's face, but Lola still kicks out. Lola wins after Izzi counters a guillotine choke with a pinfall attempt only for Lola to hit a second spinning back fist to win and retain.

Backstage, DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin) declare that they are coming for all of the gold. Meanwhile, Saquon Shugars is seen watching DarkState from a distance.
