Generation NXT - NXT recap for September 1, 2026

Zilla Fatu heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Zilla was hoping he would be NXT Champion tonight, but Heatwave did not go his way. He thought he had everything figured out, but he took the loss and he did not get the job done despite the red carpet rolled out for him. He then says that it felt amazing to be in NXT in the first place, then states that it is just a matter of when he holds the title. All of a sudden, Zilla is interrupted by Tristan Angels. Tristan says that nobody wants to hear Zilla prattle about Heatwave any further and that the fans have the attention span of fruit flies, then tells Zilla that he is not the main one in his own family, much less NXT, and had no chance of winning. He says that there is nothing about Zilla that makes him a champion unlike him. Zilla calls Tristan "Gangrel Jr.," then says that while he likes his accent, he does not like his attitude. Zilla says his family in Texas saw him in action, but his family in Orlando gets to see him whip that ass. Tristan goes for a cheap shot, saying that Zilla wants his second loss in NXT, but Zilla gets the better of him.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone plans on making Tristan Angels vs. Zilla Fatu tonight's main event; meanwhile, EK Prosper and Saquon Shugars are wanting a match with Grayson Waller. Stone says both men are in consideration, then Keanu Carver shows up and says he wants Grayson, too. He says Stone is in a pickle and asks him what he will do.

In this week's NXT Spotlight, we hear from Naraku, who says that just because Shiloh Hill has researched his mist does not mean he knows the mystery. He says he will show the world why Shiloh Hill will live in darkness.

We hear from Myles Borne, who says that he does not regret defending two title on Sunday and that he had no excuses. He also knew that the tag team titles meant something to Tavion Heights, and he did not believe that Tavion would turn on him. He says that he saw it coming and got Tavion before Tavion got him.

Naraku beats Shiloh Hill after spitting green mist into his hand. Shiloh ducks to avoid having mist spit into his eyes, but Naraku goes for Shiloh's eyes with the misted hand instead, which gives him the pin and the win.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Noam Dar, Romeo Moreno, "Super" Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux mention their plans for the rising NXT tag team division. This leads to the two teams having a match over who is the better team tonight, which is coming up next.

Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno beat "Super" Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux after Noam Dar gets the knees up on a springboard move by Sean Legacy. After the match, The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed) show up and decimate both teams.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone meets with Zaria, who says that with Wren Sinclair gone, so is the WWE Women's Speed Championship, which she hands to Stone before leaving. Birthright, who is also in the room, are forced to relinquish the WWE Speed Championship. Charlie Dempsey says that Birthright (Lexis King, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Uriah Connors, Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace) is not taken seriously and that it is time to stop giving and start taking. Birthright leave, then Cruz Montana shows up, saying he is trying to keep himself in check and that he wants Grayson Waller for the NXT Championship. Stone says that Grayson will be in the ring to address everyone. Keanu Carver shows up and says that Tony D'Angelo will be wanting his championship rematch, and that it must suck to be Stone.

Kelani Jordan heads to the ring. Kelani says that she and Kendal Grey had one of the best matches of the year at Heatwave, and now, people are talking about how great she has always been. She then says that she beat "the woman who would revolutionize women's wrestling." Kelani says that Kendal was in over her head when she sent her into the turnbuckle post and that Kendal is now in the hospital for vertigo, and that Wren Sinclair will take care of Kendal like the good little sidekick she is. After proclaiming that Kendal Grey will always be second-best compared to her, Kelani says that since she is now NXT Women's Champion after just one shot, no one will take the title from her or overlook her ever again. Jaida Parker shows up and says that she called her shot at Heatwave and overcame the biggest thorn in her side in Nattie and tapped her out, and in the last four months, she has upped her game to championship material. Jaida then says that she is now focused on the NXT Women's Championship and that she has already beaten Kelani before, then says she has her gear in the back and they can run it tonight. Kelani says that all Jaida does is talk and that Jaida is still three levels before her, then states that since she is a fighting champion, they can face off, just not tonight. She says Jaida does not tell her when to defend her title, and that she will see Jaida next week. Thea Hail then heads to the ring for the next match as Kelani Jordan makes her way out.

Thea Hail beats Nikkita Lyons.

It is announced that Kendal Grey has suffered a disturbance in her vestibular system after being sent into the exposed turnbuckle at Heatwave and that Kendal Grey is out for the foreseeable future on NXT.

Mason Rook beats Kam Hendrix to get his first singles win in NXT after Hendrix exposes a turnbuckle only for Rook to send him into the turnbuckle twice.

Tavion says that he would never turn on Myles Borne. Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes show up and say that Tavion and Myles Borne were never friends, and Jackson Drake and Myka Lockwood show up and say they should give Tavion a bit of grace. Tavion threatens to take the NXT North American Championship from Jackson Drake for acting like he earned it, and Drake says that he has no problem getting an easy win on a former Olympian.

Zilla Fatu beats Tristan Angels. After the match, Birthright (Lexis King, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Uriah Connors, Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace) show up and welcome Zilla to NXT. Charlie Dempsey says that Zilla is destined for greatness like they are and that he is taken seriously, then offer Zilla a spot in Birthright so that together, they can take over NXT. Charlie Dempsey also says that Zilla will be bottom of the barrel in the Birthright, and Lexis King tells Zilla that he will be treated like family. Zilla refuses and bumps into Lexis on the way out, then superkicks him when Lexis turns him around. Zilla gets out of the ring quickly when the rest of Birthright come after him.

General Manager Robert Stone introduces Grayson Waller to the ring. Grayson says that Stone has a bonafide superstar as his champion and that Vic Joseph should be grateful he talks about him every week, then says that the NXT Championship is the greatest accomplishment of his WWE career. Grayson says he only has himself to think after coming back to NXT and defeating his demons as well as getting in the best shape of his life, then says he forced the world to listen. He says that redemption season is just beginning, then wants to know who will be the first to knock him off his pedestal, mocking his Heatwave opponents in the process, when all of a sudden, Saquon Shugars shows up. Saquon tells Grayson to watch himself before he rocks his dome like he did Dion Lennox, then Cruz Montana shows up in the crowd and says he is ready for him, as Grayson did not beat three weeks ago or at Heatwave. EK Prosper shows up and says he has a taste for gold and that he will keep swinging for the fences, then Mason Rook shows up and threatens to beat Grayson up for disrespecting the locker room. Tony D'Angelo shows up and says nobody else has a claim for the NXT Championship, saying that he kept the men's division together with his bare hands and that he never got his one-on-one match. Keanu Carver shows up and proposes that Robert Stone make a six-man tag match next week, with the winners in a Triple Threat Match to decide a #1 contender. Stone says there are five people, but Keanu gets in the ring to make himself the sixth person after telling Stone he has the biggest decision of his life to make. Stone makes the match official, then all six men not named Grayson Waller in the ring brawl with each other as Grayson gets away and watches from the announce table to end the show.

He says he does not care what the world says about him, as he will not allow Zilla to come to NXT take what is his. One of the ringside workers tells Montana that Zilla is not here, then all of a sudden, Rey Fenix shows up. Fenix says he is happy to see Montana again, and that he is here to find out who he is defending the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against after the match, and says that if anyone costs him a title shot, he is ready for them, too. Fenix tells Montana "I got you," and Montana talks about their wars in the indies and in Total Nonstop Action, and compliments him for how he represents himself and the culture, then gives him the floor. Lexis King retains the WWE Speed Championship against Lucien Price after Charlie Dempsey and Uriah Connors grabs at Lucien Price on the outside while Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grace distract the referee. After the match, Birthright (Lexis King, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Charlie Dempsey, Uriah Connors) attacks Lucien Price, and Bronco Nima makes the save. Bronco and Lucien hug afterwards.

Grayson Waller heads to the ring. Grayson says that for weeks, he has been begging for someone to try to end his takeover, but instead of one of those "TikTok tough guys" trying to do something, he has to deal with Zilla Fatu. He says that Zilla made a big mistake and that he is not scared of him or his family before mockingly stating that he is happy Zilla is here because the ankle monitor is off and he can finally roam free. He claims that Zilla cost him #1 contendership for the NXT Championship, then says he is the #1 contender before Tony D'Angelo says that he has beaten all challengers for his title and will continue to do so. Cruz Montana suddenly shows up, and he reminds Grayson that he was on his back looking up at the lights before Zilla jumped him. He then proposes that he and Grayson finish their business, then he and D'Angelo can go toe-to-toe for the NXT Championship. Montana then says that if Zilla wants to get involved, he will beat him, too. Saquon says that Lennox cannot beat him on his own and needs help to do it, and Lennox says he will prove that he is the leader of DarkState (Lennox, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin). Saquon proposes they have a steel cage match, and Lennox proposes they have weapons in the cage.

Jackson Drake beats Shiloh Hill in an NXT North American Championship #1 contender' match despite Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes getting ejected from ringside for attacking Shiloh on the outside. Late in the match, Shiloh fends off Drake on the top rope, but sends Drake tumbling into the referee. Naraku suddenly pops up from underneath the ring and sprays red mist into Shiloh's eyes, and that allows Drake to get the win and the title shot.

Backstage, Zaria meets with General Manager Robert Stone when Kali Armstrong shows up. Kali wants championship gold, and Zaria makes it clear that there will soon be one dominant NXT Women's North American Champion. This soon leads to a verbal confrontation between Kali and Zaria, and Stone makes a match between the two of them where if Kali wins, the Women's North American Championship-Women's Speed Championship unification match becomes a Triple Threat Match.

General Manager Robert Stone is in the ring for Zilla Fatu's contract signing. Stone introduces Zilla to the ring. Tony D'Angelo is seen watching from the balcony before Zilla says this is a big moment to sign with the #1 wrestling company in the world and start in NXT. Zilla admits he never thought he would be here, but he is here now, and he aims to prove that he is not just "another nepo baby" and that he will let his talent speak for itself. He says that he made a lot of people mad last week, then tells everyone to get used to it. Grayson Waller and Cruz Montana show up from different angles, with Grayson being held back by security, and Zilla is ready for them. Stone then announces that Zilla's first match is an NXT Championship match as per his contract. Zilla says that the Triple Threat Match for the NXT Championship is a Fatal 4-Way as security goes from just holding Grayson back to also holding D'Angelo and Montana back.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 28, 2026

Grayson Waller makes a surprising return to start tonight's show. He talks about his debut, his match at WrestleMania 40, and says that something changed after that and the last two years became an embarrassment. He says he spent "240 lbs. of idiot" on his back making someone relevant again to the point that people chanted for them, and says that person (who is Austin Theory) is still allergic to the microphone. He then mentions his time in The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) without specifically mentioning them, saying he dressed for a funeral and the only thing dying was his career. He then says "It's a new day" and he is now in the best shape of his life, and says he needs to conquer some demons, one of which is the NXT Championship. He says that without the title, he has been treated like "a Netflix break comedy act" instead of the future of the industry, then addresses Mike Santana - under his new name of Cruz Montana - saying people will stop caring about him in six weeks. Grayson says he is not impressed with Montana, saying that being the best in Total Nonstop Action is like being the best basketball player in the YMCA. He also dares Tony D'Angelo to face him, saying that he has nobody left to face him. When told to wrap the promo up, Grayson Waller says that Shawn Michaels can send of his guys if he has a problem. He says that the NXT roster is soft, complacent and happy to be here, then says the only people ready for the main roster is the women's division. He then says some people put "NXT" in their social media bio just to waste their career in medical and that some of the indie talent are a bunch of charisma vacuums the moment they have a microphone, then says Shawn is smiling because he is telling the truth. Grayson says he is going to take the title, the division and any opportunity anybody else is supposed to have, because he is finally starting to remember who he is. His microphone then gets cut off. Grayson then gets in front of a camera just to say that he just took an opportunity and that everyone's cage is black. The show cuts to black immediately.

Backstage, Myles Borne and Tavion Heights talk about Grayson Waller before focusing on business. Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone meets with The Vanity Project (Brady Baylor, Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake, Myka Lockwood), who mention that Myles Borne and Tavion Heights are not on their level and that Jackson Drake will soon be NXT Champion. They leave when Keanu Carver shows up - and after Myka Lockwood gets a good look at Carver - wanting a match with EK Prosper, which he gets. Keanu leaves before Stone gets a call from Grayson Waller, and Stone tells Grayson to return to the building because they are not finished.

We hear from Lola Vice, who says that Kendal Grey has no idea what she is getting into with their NXT Underground match like she does. Thea returns the favor, then says that they will have a tag match with Nattie and Karmen Petrovic next week. Jaida Parker looks forward to it, and says that she has Thea's back after being the most trustworthy person in the locker room.

Myles Borne retains the NXT North American Championship against Kam Hendrix after Tavion Heights stops Mason Rook from interfering, allowing Borne to kick out of the Showtime Kick and hit Borne Again to win and retain. After the match, Tavion Heights lets Mason Rook go after Kam Hendrix, and as Rook and Hendrix brawl to the back, Borne and Tavion are attacked by The Vanity Project (Brady Baylor, Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) only to come out on top.

Bronco leaves, and Lucien Price follows after staring seemingly disapprovingly at Angel and Berto.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone takes a call from Grayson Waller, telling him to return to the building, then is met by Zaria, who wants to know who her next opponent is. Wren Sinclair shows up looking for her next opponent, and this soon leads to Wren Sinclair challenging an entitled Zaria - who believes she should not be in a tournament - in an attempt to be her next opponent. Stone has Wren defend her title against Zaria next week, and if she wins, she gets a future opportunity at the NXT Women's North American Championship. Zaria tells Wren to count her days and leaves.

Birthright (Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Uriah Connors) beats OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) after Angel and Berto show up, distrating Bronco to the point that he tells them not to get involved while Lucien gets double-teamed and pinned.

In this week's NXT Focus, we hear from Kendal Grey. She says her NXT Underground match next week will be her biggest match to date and that she is training with her father as well as Julius Creed to get ready. She says it is the best against the best with Lola Vice, and she knows she is better.

Backstage, Kali Armstrong says that should be her facing Kendal Grey. Izzi Dame reminds Kali Armstrong to wait her turn, as she just got here. As Kali says she waits for nothing. Kelani Jordan shows up and says that should have also been her. Reina Volcan shows up and says the division does not rebuild; it reloads.

Shiloh Hill beats Tristan Angels after Tristan is caught by the referee using the ropes for leverage.

Mike Santana - now going by the name Cruz Montana - heads to the ring. He declares that he is officially a WWE Superstar, then admits that there were times that he would not see tomorrow, as he came up in some of the toughest neighborhoods in New York City. He says that every day was a fight and a struggle to survive, and while he was no saint and made mistakes he would regret while he fought the man in the mirror, he wanted to be the man his daughter would be proud to call "father." Montana then talks about how he was told he reached his ceiling as a tag team wrestle, he started winning as a solo wrestler and rebuilt his career one step at a time. He says that he appreciates what Total Nonstop Action did for him. He then says that he stands here today as a WWE Superstar, and says that was not given to him. He says he is here not to give a spot, but to take a spot, and he plans to be NXT Champion. Montana then gives props to Grayson Waller's promo at the start of the show, then says that they can fight at any YMCA he wants before Tony D'Angelo shows up. D'Angelo welcomes Montana to NXT, interrupting Montana like Montana did to him last week to introduce himself properly before talking about how so many free agents have showed up and talked about how they will run NXT. D'Angelo says he believes Montana, but tells him the spot of NXT Champion is taken until further notice, but Montana has none of this and tells D'Angelo he will show him how he takes that spot. All of a sudden, Montana is shoved into D'Angelo from behihind, and Grayson escapes from Dead to Rights before avoiding a clothesline from Montana meant for him, causing Montana to hit D'Angelo instead.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for July 7, 2026

Kali Armstrong is in the ring to start tonight's show. She says she does not call herself "The Difference Maker" for no reason, and says that last week got to her after she watched Kendal Grey win the NXT Women's Championship. The only thing that went through her head as everyone cheered for Kendal was "There's my target," and says that she has been in the locker room and has heard it all about how some women do not get opportunities while others get them and blow it. Kali then says that once she flipped on Kendal Grey, everyone started talking about her, and that it was a matter of when, and not if, she leads the women's division and gets the NXT Women's Championship, and she has something for Kendal and Nattie. Lola Vice suddenly shows up and tells Lola Vice to slow her roll, and says that Kali did not do something just because she jumped Kendal, which she says makes Kali impatient. Lola also mentions she has yet to get her rematch. Lola says she will also be watching and that she will get her title back, and as Kali states that she will also be watching, Kelani Jordan shows up and says that neither of them are entitled to a championship match. Kelani says she did what one is supposed to do and earned an opportunity, yet nobody is talking about her and everyone is talking about Tatum Paxley, then says the title conversation revolves around her. Jaida says she has beaten Karmen Petrovic, then says that she is close to where she wants to be and that Nattie is only her to make her career relevant again, which has gotten Nattie a shot at the NXT Women's CHampionship. Jaida also says both she and Nattie are trying to level up, and that for her to level up, she has to put Nattie down.

Backstage, Emily Agard interviews Saquon Shugars. Saquon says DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin) played a ruse on him, yet learned something from him, then says he is playing chess while they play Hungry Hungry Hippos and that they get scared when he pulls over. Saquon says this is not over and that he may have to find some friends, even though nobody trusts him at the moment and he will have to prove that he has changed. He says that DarkState will learn that he is up next and that they are up never.

Keanu Carver beats Tank Ledger.

We hear from Naraku, who says that he will not just accept defeat and walk away after The Great American Bash. He says Tony D'Angelo has gotten the win, but has not escaped his punishment, and that he will break his will and spirit. Naraku then asks D'Angelo how far he will go to keep the NXT Championship when he has blinded him with fire and blurred his path forward as champion, and says that there is more torture and pain in D'Angelo's future. Naraku says D'Angelo may have researched his career, but he still has no idea of what he is capable of, including becoming NXT Champion.

Suddenly, Mason Rook shows up and tells Kam Hendrix that he knows Hendrix is saying he put him on the shelf, and says that if she actually did, Hendrix would not be getting back up. Hendrix soon runs out of the room.

She says that Tatum Paxley was her first victim last week, and that there is no telling who she will go after next. Nikki says she is here to dominate and that she is a natural disaster with purpose, then we learn her new name: Reina Volcan.

Tavion Heights suddenly shows up in the ring. Tavion says he was not going to come out here, but he was thinking about all he said before The Great American Bash. He says he can be cocky and arrogant as well as a bad brother, but he has the potential to be great and he can admit when he is wrong. He then says that he came to NXT expecting success only to be humbled, and when Myles Borne got the success he expected, that only blinded him. Tavion then shows up wanting to apologize to Myles Borne man-to-man, but The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) shows up. Baylor and Smokes says that Tavion should be apologizing for screwing them over, and Drake says that Myles handed Tavion a shot at his title only for Tavion to fumble the bag, and says that Tavion's biggest victory was a total fluke. He also says that if it weren't for Myles, Tavion would not have beaten him. Tavion tells Drake that if he wants a rematch, they can have it, then he punches Drake in the face only to be overpowered until Myles Borne makes the save. Both Tavion and Myles hug afterwards.

Backstage, Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno are talking when Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux show up. Moreno says Legacy and Van Dux had one match and are one win away from becoming tag team champions, but Noam says he and Moreno do not know each other as much as Legacy and Van Dux know each other, and they have known each other for years. Legacy says it takes time to build chemistry, and Van Dux says they will get there. Legacy and Van Dux then argue over whose name will come first when they become champions.

Niko Vance beats Shiloh Hill after Tristan Angels shows up and takes Shiloh Hill's fake tooth, distracting Shiloh and allowing Niko Vance to win. After the match, Shiloh chases Tristan to the back, and Shawn Spears shows up from behind Niko and blasts him in the back with a metal folding chair.

Cutler says that success by the individual is success for the group, and that Saquon forgot that and became a liability. He says that Saquon went into every situation blind and was never prepared for the consequences, and for that, he failed DarkState, and last week was the last straw. Lennox says that could have been him, and says Saquon tried to turn DarkState against him due to his own jealously and belief that he was better. Lennox says John Cena picked him for the Iron Survivor Challenge and that he earned it. He says that the DarkState vehicle is for everyone and that he built it brick by brick, and says there is no DarkState without him and that he will not let Saquon tear it down. Osiris says that they are going back to what they do best when the lights go out, then Lennox warns everyone they have spared in the last few months and says that if it was not safe before, then no one has seen anything yet. Tony D'Angelo heads to the ring. D'Angelo says the recent slew of fresh new faces in NXT makes things more interesting, but he notes that they want a shot at the champion. He then says it is his turn when he faces Kam Hendrix next week. D'Angelo says that he is not here to talk about Hendrix's potential or readiness, then proclaims that Hendrix will not be NXT Champion next week. He then addresses Naraku, stating that it is about time they meet face-to-face. Naraku shows up and heads to the ring, and D'Angelo tells Naraku to get straight to the point. Naraku says he wants to keep D'Angelo and his title safe, but D'Angelo does not buy it, and says he will take care of Hendrix before he takes care of him. Naraku says he will keep D'Angelo and his title safe because it is destiny that they go to war, then Kam Hendrix shows up and tells D'Angelo that he has seven days left before it is "Lights, Kam, Action" for the NXT Championship. Hendrix says that D'Angelo is running into a buzzsaw that he cannot stop, as he has beaten two former champions last week and he is about to beat a pillar of NXT next week. D'Angelo says Hendrix may be a premier athelte, but sees his title as a status symbol. D'Angelo tells Hendrix he sacrificed everything and spent five years in NXT to earn the NXT Championship, and yet he is facing someone who does not even deserve a shot at it. D'Angelo then tells Hendrix that beating him for the title is not going to happen, and when he turns his back to leave, Hendrix goes for a cheap shot only to be caught and tossed out of the ring by Naraku.

Backstage, The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake, Myka Lockwood) brag about their victory last week when they run into Tate Wilder, who says that he only needed four stitches and will not be out at all. Jackson Drake says that Tate Wilder still has a lot to learn, and Tate Wilder challenges Jackson Drake to a match next week.

Shiloh Hill beats Charlie Dempsey after pinning Dempsey's shoulders to the mat with a Northern Lights suplex. After the match, Tristan Angels tells Shiloh Hill that he is incensed with Shiloh calling himself "Mr. NXT," then says that he must teach him a lesson for the rest of his life, as Shiloh "cannot hack it in [his] domain." He says that there will be a "Mr. NXT" pageant where he will beat Shiloh once and for all. Shiloh says he cannot wait to embarrass Angels, and tells him to bring it on.

Backstage, Shawn Spears tells Izzi Dame that says he and Niko Vance should not have had a match on the same night as her championship match and that he was "doing the right thing," much to Izzi's chagrin.

Lola Vice retains the NXT Women's Championship against Izzi Dame. During the match, Shawn Spears grabs at Lola on the outside behind the ref's back, and while that allows Izzi to hit a Backstabber, Spears and Vance are soon attacked by OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price), who force them to the back. Later on, Izzi inadvertently knocks out the referee with a Busaiku Knee meant for Lola. At one point, Izzi uses the Women's title as a weapon by throwing it to Lola and booting the title into Lola's face, but Lola still kicks out. Lola wins after Izzi counters a guillotine choke with a pinfall attempt only for Lola to hit a second spinning back fist to win and retain.

Backstage, DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Osiris Griffin) declare that they are coming for all of the gold. Meanwhile, Saquon Shugars is seen watching DarkState from a distance.

In footage from earlier today, General Manager Robert Stone meets with Shawn Michaels and Matt Bloom regarding fresh faces from Evolve and LFG to replace some call-ups. Shawn says that Stone can keep putting faces on index cards and making phone calls, or he can "throw a stick of dynamite in the locker room and see who runs out."

Myles Borne retains the NXT North American Championship against Saquon Shugars after Saquon has to stop Dion Lennox from hitting Borne with a chair, causing Borne to shove Saquon into Lennox and the ring steps, allowing Borne to hit Borne Again to win and retain. After the match, Tristan Angels shows up and congratulates Borne on the win, then states that everyone will be seeing more of him on NXT. All of a sudden, Borne is attacked from behind by Kam Hendrix.

Backstage, Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair are talking about the new talents showing up when Kelani Jordan shows up saying she is the one to beat despite being knocked out by Lola Vice. She also warns Sinclair that Kendal will turn on her. Sinclair challenges Kelani to a match, and Kelani accepts, saying she does not want Sinclair's title and just wants to embarrass her.

Tony D'Angelo heads to the ring. D'Angelo says that the more NXT changes, the more it stays the same, and that the only constant is that competitors come and go. He then says that he has become the constant, and that there is no man tough enough to kick him off the mountain. He also says that includes whoever sent him that box last week. D'Angelo says that while all sorts of competitors are coming for him, he is wondering about the box, knowing it is a warning. The lights go out, then all of a sudden, former New Japan Pro Wrestling wrestler EVIL shows up. EVIL heads to the ring, and hands D'Angelo a black fabric with the same kanji that was on the box. EVIL then leaves the ring. As EVIL leaves, D'Angelo is suddenly attacked from behind by Tavion Heights, who says that he is tired of waiting and is taking what he wants. As this goes on, Will Kroos gets in the ring and hits a moonsault on D'Angelo.

Tatum Paxley and Shiloh Hill dig a grave for Blake Monroe, and hope that her soul finds peace. Tatum then gets worried about having to always be in survival mode as champion, but Shiloh gets it, knowing Tatum is attached to objects and that the Women's United States Championship is a part of her now. Tatum says she will figure things out, then mentions Shiloh's upcoming match with Ricky Saints. Shiloh says he has planned the match out, and Tatum says that Shiloh will kill it in that match. As Shiloh leaves, Tatum lies down next to the grave dug up for Blake Monroe.

Before the next match, Lexis King says that there is no such thing as a slow news day as the fastest man alive. Lexis says he was going to cheer his teammates on, but unfortunately, EK Propser will have to prosper on his own, as Dorian Van Dux has suffered "a little accident." We see footage of Birthright attacking Dorian Van Dux with a metal folding chair while Arianna Grace laughs at the phone. EK Prosper runs into the ring only to get beaten down, but a now-recovered "Super" Sean Legacy rushes into the ring and helps EK Prosper clean house.

EK Prosper and "Super" Sean Legacy beat Birthright (Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Uriah Connors). After the match, the rest of Birthright (Charlie Dempsey, Lexis King, Arianna Grace) helps Stacks and Uriah jump Prosperr and Legacy. All of a sudden, Tate Wilder, fresh out of Evolve, shows up and helps Prosperr and Legacy clean house.

Backstage, Thea Hail and Jaida Parker are wondering who else will show up when Kali Armstrong, saying Jaida is scared of a little competition before stating that she will be a difference maker. The women's locker room have to keep Kali and Jaida from going at it.

Shawn Michaels announces that NXT premium live events will become exclusive to The CW starting this summer in the United States.

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone welcomes Tate Wilder to NXT, then Lola Vice says that if Izzi Dame wants to play games, then she will call her out. Lola Vice then heads to the ring. Lola Vice says that Izzi Dame only thought she had her moment, then says she feels sorry for Izzi because she cannot do anything on her own, and when she does, she is getting knocked out. She calls Izzi out so she can show her what she is about to do her, then reiterates that she will be a fighting champion before Shawn Spears appears on the TitanTron, saying that Lola did not think things through. He tells Lola to stay one step ahead like The Culling (Shawn Spears, Izzi Dame, Niko Vance) if she wants to keep her title, then Izzi Dame and Niko Vance suddenly show up behind Lola. All of a sudden, Mr. Iguana shows up from underneath the ring and helps Lola outsmart Izzi and Niko in a quick brawl.

Backstage, Myles Borne runs into Tavion Heights. Heights says that he is kicking doors down, and when Borne says that is not him, Heights is surprised, but Borne says he gets it, as it is every man for himself. Heights says Borne can add him as one of those men on the way out, then Borne meets Keanu Carver, who says that the sharks are swimming and that Borne is looking at "the great white."

The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) meets backstage. They know that NXT is changing and that it is time for Jackson Drake to step up, and Jackson Drake celebrates having a new girlfriend before stating that he is on top of the world and can take on anything. Jasper Troy shows up and says that Drake should be concentrating on championship gold instead of dating apps before challenging him to a match next week.

Kelani Jordan beats Wren Sinclair when Sinclair's knee, which Sinclair tweaks on a drop kick to the outside during the match, gives out when Sinclair goes for the Final Wrench.

We hear from Zaria. We see a burnt, flaming surfboard with "Sol Ruca" on it. Zaria says Sol Ruca was a beauty from a distance, but up close, she was drowning her until she opened her eyes and remembered who she was as we see an image of Sol Ruca disintegrate. Zaria says she does not make compromises, and now that Sol Ruca is gone, she will scorch everyone and everything in her way. (The segment comes under fire afterwards for being made with AI.)

Shiloh Hill beats Ricky Saints after Saints brings a metal folding chair into the ring only for Shiloh to knock the chair out of his hands, sends Saints into the chair with a drop toe hold, then hit Whisper of the Beast to get the pin and the win. (With Ricky Saints heading to SmackDown on Friday, this is Saints' last match in NXT before the call-up is official.)

Backstage, Tony D'Angelo meets with Shawn Michaels, saying that the sharks are circling and got one on him tonight, but he loves the chaos. Shawn says D'Angelo is the champion, and now it is time to prove it.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for April 7, 2026

Tony D'Angelo heads to the ring to start tonight's show. D'Angelo says a lot of the fans have been with him since the beginning, and that he barely recognize the kid he was when he began. He now says he is not just a man, but the man, and he is now NXT Champion. He also says that he is the very first Grand Slam Champion in NXT history and that he has wanted this since he walked through the door, and while some choices have been better than others, he would not change a thing. D'Angelo then says his hands have an iron grip on the NXT title and not even "All Ego" Ethan Page, Ricky Saints or Joe Hendry can take it from him. Joe Hendry shows up and heads to the ring. Hendry gives credit where credit is due to D'Angelo and proclaims him to be the better man, then says it was on one night where they both had to deal with Ethan and Saints, and ponders if D'Angelo would still be champion if not for them. Ethan shows up and says that if anyone deserved a one-on-one title shot, it was him, and that if it were one-on-one, he would have beaten Hendry; instead, D'Angelo is champion. Saints then makes his way out to the ring. Saints reminds Ethan that he attacked him first and tells Ethan not to blame his shortcomings on him, and says that if Ethan had put his ego to the side, he would be two-time champion. D'Angelo tells all three men to get in line and that the result will be the same as it was Saturday. Suddenly, DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) shows up from out of the crowd and attack all four men in the ring while security rushes in as the show goes to a commercial break. (During the break, the announce table gets destroyed, and it also takes all the referees and the locker room to break up the brawl.)

Backstage, after the break, General Manager Robert Stone puts Tony D'Angelo, Joe Hendry, "All Ego" Ethan Page and Ricky Saints in an eight-man match with DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) later in the night. Sol Ruca then heads to the ring for the next match.

Izzi Dame beats Sol Ruca after Niko Vance saves Izzi Dame on the outside while Zaria hits Sol Ruca with a Spear as Shawn Spears distracts the referee. After the match, Zaria tells Sol Ruca that she says when this ends between them.

In backstage footage from earlier today, The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) meet with Blake Monroe and gift Blake her very own custom NXT Women's North American Championship. General Manager Robert Stone says Blake cannot self-proclaim to be champion, then puts Blake Monroe and a Vanity Project member of her choice in a mixed tag match with Tatum Paxley and Shiloh Hill. Blake picks Jackson Drake as her tag partner.

Backstage, Dorian Van Dux, Elio LaFleur, "Super" Sean Legacy and Elio LaFleur are in the locker room. LaFleur mentions that Dorian Van Dux and EK Prosper will be in the WWE Speed Championship tournament. Dorian Van Dux says he has been waiting for this moment, but EK Proposer says he is ready for the tournament and that he will be watching tonight's tournament match.

Keanu Carver beats Josh Briggs and Jasper Troy in a Triple Threat Match.

Backstage, Tatum Paxley tells Shiloh Hill that she thought she would be done with Blake Monroe after Saturday, but Blake just cannot stop. Shiloh Hill looks forward to punching Jackson Drake in the face. Ricky Saints shows up and mocks them for laughing during their conversation, but Shiloh Hill tells him to concentrate on his match with DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin), as they already gave him a beating earlier tonight.

Joe Hendry, Tony D'Angelo, Ricky Saints and "All Ego" Ethan Page beat DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin). At the end of the match, D'Angelo takes out Saquon Shugars, but Ethan hits D'Angelo with a pump kick to get the pin and the win. After the match, D'Angelo takes Ethan out.

On NXT Focus, we hear from Jaida Parker, who talks about how she beat Kelani Jordan at Stand & Deliver only for Kelani to attack her backstage afterwards. Jaida says she is who she says she is, and brags about how she has made Kelani's life a living hell with a brawl at the Performance Center and a confrontation at Kelani's car before their match next week.

Lexis King beats Chazz "Starboy" Hall to advance in the WWE Speed Championship Tournament. (Chazz "Starboy" Hall is formerly known as Starboy Charlie, and is the current men's WWE ID Champion.)

Backstage, General Manager Robert Stone meets with Myles Borne when Tony D'Angelo shows up. Borne leaves, and D'Angelo says he wants "All Ego" Ethan Page. Stone says he can make that happen, then D'Angelo has a staredown with Keanu Carver.

Jackson Drake and Blake Monroe beat Tatum Paxley and Shiloh Hill after Tatum goes to counter the Glamour Shot with Cemetery Drive only to hit Drake with a spinning wheel kick. That allows Blake Monroe to hit the Glamour Shot for the pin and the win.

Tony D'Angelo will defend the NXT Championship against "All Ego" Ethan Page, Sol Ruca and Zaria will square off in a Last Woman Standing Match, Joe Hendry will be in concert, Kali Armstrong will make her NXT debut, and there will be a new WWE Speed Champion.

We see a vignette for Kali Armstrong's NXT debut.

Lola Vice heads to the ring for a championship celebration. Lola Vice talks about she became the first Cuban-American champion in WWE history and how she has waited so long to become champion. She also talks about how she was the biggest signing of 2022 and how WWE gave her a media tour. She talks about how she thought she was ready to become champion and expected to go straight to the top only to get humbled, and how she headed to AAA to get even more experience and take "Vice City" worldwide. Lola Vice says that she is undeniable and that earning something means more than having something handed to her, then Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) shows up. Jacy Jayne congratulates Lola before telling her to enjoy this moment, as it is the last win she will ever get off of her. She says that Lola has only set her up to become a record-breaking three-time champion. Jacy says Lola was only at Stand & Deliver on a technicality, then says she ran the women's division for almost ten months. General Manager Robert Stone shows up and gives Jacy her championship rematch at NXT Revenge. Lola tells Jacy that she will knock her out again, then Lainey and Fallon attack her from behind. Lola fights back and sends Fatal Influence running to end the show.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for March 3, 2026

Myles Borne heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Myles says that the fans know what he has been through and what he fights for, and instead of thanking the fans and his family for support, he thanks his biggest haters for doubting him, including "All Ego" Ethan Page, who did not think he had this in him. He said that instead of teaching him that he lacked a killer instinct, he lit a fire that awakened a demon. He says he is no Boy Scout and no angel and that he will do what it takes to keep the title. Ethan Page shows up and says if it was not for him, Myles Borne would be afraid to rock the boat, then says it is time to repay the favor. He says that anyone can have a good night, and while he had a bad night, he had a thousand good nights since he arrived in NXT. He says that if anyone deserves a rematch, it is the man that has been carrying NXT on his back for the last two years. Myles says he will give him his rematch, and after Ethan wants it for tonight, Myles says he will regret it. Interim General Manager Robert Stone shows up and tells Myles to reconsider, but Ethan Page says Myles wants to be a fighting champion. Stone reconsiders and makes the match happen right now, with both men still in street clothes.

Myles Borne retains the NXT North American Championship against "All Ego" Ethan Page after kicking out from being hit with a shoe by Ethan Page only for Myles Borne to toss his torn shirt to the referee so that he can do the same thing to Ethan.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Zaria, who says that she will soon get her answer as to why she turned on Sol Ruca. Meanwhile, Interim General Manager Robert Stone shows up with security and tells DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) they must deal with Tony D'Angelo inside. D'Angelo shows up as soon as DarkState leaves, and he pulls a crowbar out of the trunk.

Blake Monroe heads to the ring. Blake Monroe says she expected to be enraged and tear Jaida Parker apart for her recent action, but all it did was reassure here, as she realized that Jaida needs her. She says that Jaida confirmed her value, and declares that she is "perfectly poised" and is the conversation. Blake says that people are obsessed about her and talk about her more than Jaida Parker, then says that Jaida Parker cannot step up and that stepping to her is her only option when it comes to mattering, as the women's division revolves around her. She says that Jaida is begging to be in the spotlight, then says that she will share it with her at Vengeance Day before walking into Stand & Deliver. Jaida shows up and says Blake has jokes and says that she should slap the taste out of her mouth, especially when Blake claims to run the division yet has to talk about herself. She chalks it up to insecurity, then says she will give Blake the ass-whupping she is asking for, as Blake needs her so she does not fade into the background she is scared of. Jaida says that Blake does not believe what comes out of her mouth and that when everything is stripped away, Blake is just "a mediocre bitch." This leads to a brawl, and Jaida hits Blake with Hip-Notic quickly.

Backstage, The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Saints, Jackson Drake) apologize to "All Ego" Ethan Page. Ricky Saints tells The Vanity Project that they have titles to worry about and that they need to retain. Saints tells Ethan things will be okay after The Vanity Project leaves, and that he will be champion again.

Elio LeFleur and Eli Knight talk about their Speed Championship Tournament match with "Super" Sean Legacy. Legacy says he is not done with Jasper Troy, who shows up wanting his Speed title back. Elio says that the Speed title is more for guys like him and Eli, and Josh Briggs shows up and says Jasper isn't the best big man after losing to the two of them. Jasper challenges the two of them to another Triple Threat Match for the WWE Speed Championship.

Wren Sinclair beats Nikkita Lyons by submission with The Final Wrench (which is Cattle Mutilation) with just four seconds left to advance in the WWE Women's Speed Championship Tournament.

Backstage, Joe Hendry congratulates Myles Borne for knocking "All Ego" Ethan Page off his perch. Both men admit that the other is inspirational, and Myles even messes with Hendry when Hendry says that listening to Ricky Saints would make him wish he was deaf, too.

We hear from Kelani Jordan, who trains for her NXT Underground match with "The Queen of Spades" Shayna Baszler, who warns her that Lola Vice is no joke as she proves herself a no-nonsense trainer.

Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame has a conversation in front of a broken dollhouse. Tatum Paxley says The Culling (Shawn Spears and Niko Vance) gave Izzi the control she wanted, but when she took out Spears and Niko, she beat her. Izzi reminds Tatum of how she beat her to retain the Women's North American Championship and tells her that she is the same woman who talks to dolls because she cannot solve her problems. She also tells Tatum that she is unlovable and pathetic and calls Tatum a shell of her former self without her, then says there is no "new version" of Tatum and that Tatum has not changed. Tatum smiles and says nothing last forever, and Izzi's pain and manipulation is only temporary, and that when she beats her for the Women's North American Champion, she will learn she was never meant to be played with.

Hank Walker, Tank Ledger and Shiloh Hill beat The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Saints, Jackson Drake) in a six-man tag match. During the match, Keanu Carver shows up and tells Booker T to tell "his boys" to keep his name out of their mouths, then walks away. After the match, Blake Monroe shows up and tells Jaida Parker that she got what she wanted and brought the hell out of her, and says that this ends at Vengeance Day in a street fight. Hank, Tank and Shiloh have to help security hold Blake back as well as Jaida Parker, who shows up to confront Blake. Meanwhile, backstage, DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars) find out that Osiris Griffin has been attacked, and Dion Lennox says he will handle Tony D'Angelo himself.

In footage from earlier today, Lola Vice learns from Dr. Martin about her hand injury. He wants Lola out of action for six months to stabilize the fracture in her hand, and if she gets into the NXT Underground match, she may suffer irreversible damage to her hand. Lola says she cannot be out for that long due to the NXT Underground match as well as future opportunities. Dr. Martin asks Lola to meet with him after the match.

Dion Lennox is in the ring. He calls out Tony D'Angelo, who shows up in the crowd and blames Lennox for the destruction of his life last year. He says he has come back a different, more dangerous man and told him what he would do, and says he will kill Lennox's dreams. He says that he will cash in his final promise of destroying DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) by taking Lennox out. Lennox says he is fighting for four on Saturday, and that he will run D'Angelo over on the way to becoming NXT Champion. Lennox says that DarkState's takeover is far from over, and warns D'Angelo to be ready on Saturday because it will be on sight. Security moves in, but Lennox says D'Angelo will get his on Saturday. D'Angelo says he will beat D'Angelo in the parking lot and drag him into the ring to beat him in front of everybody to complete one of his reasons he returned to NXT.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid). Jacy Jayne says she does not want to get caught up in the break-up between Sol Ruca and Zaria. She says that when she beats Zaria tonight, it will be smooth sailing to Stand ∓ Deliver.

Backstage, Myles Borne thanks Tavion Heights and Charlie Dempsey for the time in No Quarter Catch Crew. As Dempsey says he and Tavion are both just spinning their wheels, Lexis King, Uriah Connors, Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grace wants Dempsey to join them. Tavion Heights is having none of this, but the four of them tell Dempsey that his friends have moved on and that he should, too.

Zaria vs. Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women's Championship ends with Sol Ruca showing up, taking out both Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid, then hitting a Sol Snatcher on both Zaria and Jacy Jayne. Jacy Jayne retains the NXT Women's Championship. After the match, Sol Ruca raises the title up and tells Zaria that her soul is hers, then blasts Lainey Reid with the title.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Interim General Manager Robert Stone. Stone says he needs to figure some things out, and he will have a decision regarding the NXT Women's Championship at Vengeance Day.

Ricky Saints heads to the ring for "The Absolute Experience." Saints describes himself as "a true thespian" and says that the network loves him before starting his own concert to rival Joe Hendry's. He sings poorly while mocking Joe Hendry, and keeps holding the concert up in order to replace the stool with a chair. He also demands that the microphone be replaced, saying that something is off before telling the fans that they stink. When he asks for a new guitar, Joe Hendry shows up and hits him with a guitar. The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Saints, Jackson Drake) rushes in and attacks Hendry, but Myles Borne shows up to make the save. He and Hendry clean house, and Hendry tosses Saints out of the ring and into The Vanity Project and celebrates with Borne to end the show.

He is not surprised that Cutler James wants to step up given his amateur background. D'Angelo hopes Dion Lennox is watching tonight, as DarkState took everything from him and he plans to do the same to him. We then hear from DarkState backstage. Cutler says he will make short work out of Tony D'Angelo.

Ricky Saints is attacked in the parking lot by Joe Hendry.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Shiloh Hill. Shiloh Hill says he has done his research and that he has a counter for everything "All Ego" Ethan Page has. Hank Walker and Tank Ledger shows up and have faith in Shiloh Hill, who says that he is going to be champion tonight.

Joe Hendry heads to the ring and calls out Ricky Saints, saying he is in the mood to kick Saints' ass all over the arena as he wants to settle things right now. Ricky Saints shows up on the balcony and says everybody has it twisted, and says that Hendry stole the NXT Championship from him and that it does not matter how good anyone is as long as they can sing. He says that he can see through Hendry and that he brings NXT and its championship down, and states that "a meme" is now holding the NXT Championship. Saints says everyone loves Hendry because they relate to being a loser like him, and says Hendry has no championship qualities that he has. Hendry says he deals in facts and that he is the best in NXT right now, but Saints says he is only the best at marketing. Saints says he is the number one guy because he has real fashion taste and does not give people fluff answers, and says that he has worked too hard to elevate NXT to let Hendry ruin that. Hendry says Saints will have no idea coming down to the ring if he is half as good as he says he is, and Saints says that they can do this at Vengeance Day for the NXT Championship. Hendry accepts the challenge and states that he will come out the winner and kick Saints' ass.

Izzi Dame watches Tatum Paxley's promo from last week as Niko Vance and Shawn Spears show up. She says that Tatum Paxley is still convincing everyone and herself that she has a final form that she has yet to unleash, and that she is incapable of change. Izzi says that every version of Tatum will end with her beating Tatum. Vance and Spears then focus on the NXT tag team titles, and Vance says he must the variable that no one can prepare for if they are to win them.

Backstage, "All Ego" Ethan Page says The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) are one step closer to gold when Myles Borne shows up. Ethan says he will not change his mind no matter what Borne does, but Borne says they will see about that. Ricky Saints shows up and Myles Borne leaves, then says he got what he wanted and that after Vengeance Day, he, Ethan Page and The Vanity Project will all be champions.

The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes) beats The Culling (Shawn Spears and Niko Vance), OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) and the team of Hank Walker and Tank Ledger in an NXT Tag Team Championship into the ring after Ricky Smokes pushes a dazed Brad Baylor onto Shawn Spears for the pin and the win as everyone else goes at it on the outside.

We see a vignette for Keanu Carver as part of NXT Spotlight, where Carver talks about his football career before telling "Super" Sean Legacy that he will decimate him next week.

Backstage, Interim NXT General Manager Robert Stone tells Joe Hendry that he has removed Ricky Saints from the building and Joe Hendry must leave as well. Meanwhile, Sol Ruca meets with Zaria only for Zaria to be absolutely furious with her for costing her an NXT Women's Championship opportunity last week. Zaria angry tells Sol Ruca that she is done with this friendship and storms off.

Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, Lainey Reid) heads to the ring. Jacy says she looks forward to defending against Sol Ruca than against any other opponent, and says that she is extremely jealous of Sol Ruca and that no matter what she does, the fans still tell her that Sol Ruca is a bigger star. Jacy says she held NXT and Total Nonstop Action's women's titles at the same time and even beat Stephanie Vaquer to do it, and yet she had to watch Sol Ruca face Bayley at Saturday Night's Main Event. Afterwards, she debuted in the Royal Rumble, but all she heard about on the way home was about how Sol Ruca was in the final three, and Lainey Reid says that everyone could only talk about Sol Ruca. Jacy says Sol Ruca has been in everyone's faces and down everyone's throats, and that Sol Ruca only has a title shot because she sacrificed Zaria, and next week, she will not have Zaria and she will not have the NXT Women's Championship. She says that she won the women's title because she is the best woman in NXT and not because she flips every five seconds, then Sol Ruca shows up and says she has heard enough. Sol Ruca agrees that Jacy Jayne is jealous of her and that Jacy is the same person she was four years ago. Jacy says that Sol Ruca is just realizing that Sol Ruca has to dump her best friend to reach the top, and that she has no chance of winning her title Sol Ruca says that friends fight and that Zaria stands apart from her, and while Jacy has the women's title and her own little group, it is not enough. Sol promises to smash Jacy's soul, take her title, and prove that she is better than Jacy. Jacy slaps Sol Ruca, and Fatal Influence attacks her. Zaria then tells Fatal Influence to get Sol Ruca up only to hit Fallon with a Spear instead before laying all of Fatal Influence out. Zaria then helps Sol Ruca up, and the two of them hug it out.

"Super" Sean Legacy meets with Elio LeFleur and Eli Knight before their WWE Speed Championship Tournament match tonight. He hopes that the two of them bring the house down tonight, and Elio and Eli hope that Jasper Troy gets dropped after his attack on them last week.

Eli Knight vs. Elio LeFleur in a WWE Speed Championship Tournament match ends in a time-limit draw. After the match, Interim NXT General Manager Robert Stone shows up and states that he is impressed with both men's performance tonight that instead of ending the tournament then and there, they will both be in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Speed Championship with a seven-minute time limit.

Stone says Jaida Parker is suspended for attacking a referee and is out with a neck injury, then puts Blake Monroe in the WWE Women's Speed Championship Tournament with Thea Hail as her first opponent.

Backstage, Dion Lennox thanks Cutler James for saving him from a trip to the hospital when Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin says that The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor and "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes) are number one contenders for the NXT tag team titles. DarkState collectively agree that The Vanity Project will be put down.

Backstage, Zaria apologizes to her words to Sol Ruca, saying they make a great team and that they would not be where they are without each other. She says that things have not felt the same since Sol Ruca's knee injury and that Sol Ruca becoming NXT Women's Champion will put them back on track. Myles Borne passes by, and when Zaria asks if he is okay, he says "I know what I'm going to do now."

"All Ego" Ethan Page retains the NXT North American Championship against Shiloh Hill follwing the distraction by The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) and following two Twisted Grins, one on the exposed concrete on the outside and another in the center of the ring. After the match, The Vanity Project gangs up on Shiloh Hill, then Myles Borne shows up and lays them and Ethan Page out. Shiloh Hill wipes out The Vanity Project as Borne goes for the ground and pound on Ethan Page to beat a title shot out of him. Myles Borne then takes a chair and wraps it around Borne's left ankle, and when he is about to stomp the chair, Ethan Page surrenders and gives him the title match next week. Ethan then says "I knew you couldn't do it," Myles stomps the chair and tells him that the North American Championship is his while surrounded by referees.

We see Blake Howard's sit-down interview with Keanu Carver, who mentions that he was required to be here and that he is not answering any questions. It is not long before he walks out of the interview.

Jaida Parker heads to the ring. Parker says that she is happy to be back, and while things have changed in NXT, she has not, and she has been watching while she was gone, saying that the women's division has been tearing it up. She says that she wanted to come back with no excuses, because standards do not to talk; they get checked, tested, pressed, and keep getting up again and again. Jaida then says that everybody has their opinions about her, and while there are days she may not be able to catch a break, she can catch eyes and she can catch people's attention. As she continues to speak, the lights go out, and Jaida is not impressed with this before Blake Monroe shows up on the balcony with the spotlight on her. The lights go on as Blake says Jaida made a mistake interrupting her, saying she is just talk and that she does not come back and get in her way. Jaida says Blake only talks so much because she has nothing to prove, and says that Blake has her to deal with at the end of the day.

Backstage, Myles Borne meets with General Manager Ava when Elio LaFleur shows up and thanks Ava for the opportunity, saying this is just the beginning. Meanwhile, Ricky Saints heads back towards the ring for commentary, and Myles tells Saints he will see him in the ladder match when he wins his qualifying match against Dion Lennox next week. Saints says Ethan has a good point before leaving, then Ethan tells Myles that the choice is his and that he knows what he needs to do.

"Super" Sean Legacy beats Eli Knight in an NXT Championship Ladder Match qualifier. After the match, both men are attacked by Tony D'Angelo, who also choke slams Sean Legacy into the commentary table before briefly looking at Ricky Saints. General Manager Ava shows up with three policemen, and Tony D'Angelo turns himself in before escorted to the back.

We hear from The Culling (Shawn Spears, Nikko Vance, Izzi Dame). Izzi Dame says her Women's North American Championship personifies why The Culling was created. Spears is proud of Izzi. Niko Vance agrees with Izzi, then says that he and Shawn Spears should re-focus on the tag team titles and have OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) and DarkState (Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin) do most of the work. Izzi knows they can get the job done.

Tony D'Angelo is escorted from the building by police. General Manager Ava says she had no choice, and D'Angelo does not answer any questions. Meanwhile, OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) tells DarkState (Saquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin) that last week was a warning, and now, they are coming for the tag team titles next week.

Backstage, The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) brag about getting the win tonight, and Brad Baylor says that next week will be even better when Jackson Drake wins his NXT Championship Ladder Match qualifier. Robert Stone congratulates The Vanity Project, then tells Jackson Drake that he will face Joe Hendry in next week's qualifier. Hendry shows up around Ricky's arm and says he will not pass up this match and that he will see Drake next week. Hendry leaves, and Ricky Smokes is wondering how the woman who is arm was around was replaced with Hendry before questioning whether or not he actually kissed Joe Hendry.

Cutler James shows up and mentions Tony D'Angelo costing Dion Lennox his match, saying D'Angelo is safer in jail than out in public. Lennox shows up and says that if everyone wants a shot at them, that is cool. He then says he will beat Myles Borne and qualify for the NXT Championship Ladder Match.

The Personal Concierge George Iceman is in the crowd for the next match.

Generation NXT - NXT recap for January 13, 2026

The NXT Championship is in the ring at the start of the show, and so is General Manager Ava. She mentions Oba Femi vacating the title and the massive opportunity that this will create. The locker room surrounds the ring as Ava says that regardless of whether anyone just walked through the door or has been here for a while, there is no better time than now. Ricky Saints shows up and thanks everyone for showing up tonight, then says that he ran NXT and says that Oba Femi was afraid of a rematch with him while also mentioning Je'Von Evans leaving. He says that the ring is surrounded by future champions, but they are the future and he is the now. Saints expects Ava to hand the title to him, but she refuses, saying that everyone else around the ring has demanded an opportunity. Ava then announces a six-man ladder match on February 3rd, and the winner of that match will become the new NXT Champion. She also announces that qualifying matches will start next week and that she cannot wait to see who make this moment their own. Ava then hangs the title onto a hook, which rises to the ceiling as the NXT locker room starts brawling. All of a sudden, a man in a black durag suddenly shows up and starts fighting people. He is identified as Keanu Carver, formerly from Evolve. Keanu Carver decimates everyone that he sees, and ends up being the last man standing in the entire brawl. Meanwhile, Ricky Saints has retreated, not believing what he is seeing.

Backstage, General Manager Ava is met by Robert Stone, who says that Blake Monroe is here and has a lot to get off her chest. Ava is not surprised.

Lola Vice beats Kelani Jordan with the spinning back fist after Kelani is caught by the referee using the middle rope for leverage during a roll-up.

We hear from Tavion Heights, who talks about how he broke out and showed what he was made of in 2025, then says that he will show what it is like to reach new heights in 2026 by beating Jasper Troy for the WWE Speed Championship. We then hear from Jasper Troy, who congratulates Heights for earning five minutes in the ring with him before stating that he does not need five minutes and that Heights' momentum will reach a dead end tonight.

Jasper Troy retains the WWE Speed Championship against Tavion Heights. After the match, Heights is attacked from behind by Lexis King, who soon hits him with the Coronation, still angry that Heights beat him in eight seconds.

Backstage, Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey are met by Sol Ruca and Zaria. Zaria says that she and Sol Ruca have the next shot at Jacy Jayne. When Jacy Jayne shows up, the four of them force her into General Manager Ava's office. Ava announces that she has spoken with Total Nonstop Action Director of Authority Santino Marella and that the three sides will face each other in a three-way tag match for a shot at the Knockouts Tag Team Championships.

Backstage, Lexis King brags about what he did to Tavion Heights to Chase University. Andre Chase calls this a teachable moment on what not to do, but Lexis says the men's division is wide open and the NXT Championship is his. Stacks and Arianna Grace shows up with Stacks agreeing with Lexis. Chase University leaves after Andre Chase disagrees. As Robert Stone shows up and tells Lexis King that what he did was not good, Myles Borne demands to be in one of the qualifying matches for the NXT Championship ladder match.

We see another vignette for Elio LaFleur, formerly known in the European scene as Aigle Blanc.

Backstage, General Manager Ava is met by "All Ego" Ethan Page, who thanks her for signing The Vanity Project before finding out that he will only qualify for the NXT Championship if he vacates the NXT North American Championship. He also finds out that he will be defending the NXT North American Championship next week against the debuting Elio LaFleur, much to his chagrin.

Blake Monroe heads to the ring. Blake says she showed up last week with every intention of regaining the Women's North American Championship, and that she was just "bringing a little Hell out to play" when she attacked Thea Hail, saying it was still her title in the first place. She then says that the powers that be turned everything into controversy and chaos and changed the narrative, making it look like she was the problem. Blake Monroe says that when one is as talented as her, people do not know what to do, and that they will call one controversial, debate one on controversy and nitpick what one does "wrong." She says that the spotlight is on her and that she is the moment. She proclaims that she lost patience, not control, with a system that does not know what to do when she does something that courts the least bit attention. As she says that she will give the other women their shine, Jaida Parker suddenly shows up. In Jaida's first appearance in months, Blake Monroe makes the mistake of interrupting her, and when she goes for the cheap shot, Jaida immediately fires back and hits her with Hip-Notic at the ring apron.

We hear from Shiloh Hill, who says that his 2025 was wild, as he won LFG Season 2 and found himself in some Christmas chaos. He then talks about how he brought some squirrels home for Christmas and how they tore up the Christmas tree and even had his grandfather chasing them with a sledgehammer. He laughs about his false tooth falling on Arianna Grace before stating that Total Nonstop Action and NXT will both find out why they should not sleep on him when he wins the TNA International Championship.

We hear from DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin), who talk about how they just came to take over NXT by sliding in with the best in 2025 and even winning the tag team titles before promising to go through the whole locker room and show what they are capable of in 2026.

Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo retains the Total Nonstop Action International Championship against Shiloh Hill after Shiloh gets Stacks in an inside cradle only for Arianna to kick at Shiloh to reverse the pinfall and give Stacks the win.

Izzi Dame heads to the ring. Izzi calls her new title reign the fans' new reality before stating that she has not stumbled into success and that she outsmarted everyone else to get to this point. She also says that she does not waste losses like the one that she suffered against Tatum Paxley and that she studies them, and that she is learning NXT to see who is capable of what. Izzi says that loss gave her clarity and states that The Culling is about removing weakness, exploiting mistakes and making sure everyone is out of place so she can make her move, and because of all of this, she is now champion. She already knows that everybody wants a piece of her and her championship, including Lola Vice and Thea Hail, and proclaims that she is in control of who gets a shot at her and when. Izzi says she is a champion because she think faster, plan longer and pull the trigger without hesitation, and if anyone thinks they will get close to her title, they should know they are walking into a trap as part of a game that has already begun. Tatum Paxley suddenly runs into the ring with referees quickly chasing after her, and as the referees keep her back, one of them gets laid out by Tatum.

Backstage, Kelly Kincaid interviews Ricky Saints. Saints says he has told General Manager Ava that he is owed a rematch for the NXT Championship and that he will also not only in the ladder match, but will also be sitting front and center for two of the qualifying matches. Those two qualifying matches will be "Super" Sean Legacy vs. Eli Knight and Shiloh Hill vs. Josh Briggs, and both will take place next week. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo and Arianna Grande show up when Saints mentions Shiloh Hill's name, with Stacks cursing Shiloh Hill's name for getting a shot at the title before him, but Saints reminds him he still has title and his girl before leaving. Lexis King then shows up and tells Stacks "Let's talk."

Backstage, Tatum Paxley is forced out of the building before The Vanity Project (Brad Baylor, "The Smoke Show" Ricky Smokes, Jackson Drake) walk up to Blake Howard as he reports on it. The three of them look forward to the girls they will meet in the locker room, and Jackson Drake says that he should be able to qualify for the NXT Championship due to being Evolve Champion. Brad Baylor mentions that Swipe Right (Baylor and Smokes) have a tag team match next week against Chase University (Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors) next week. Keanu Carver shows up, and after The Vanity Project run away, Carver makes it clear he is not in the mood to talk for the camera.

Joe Hendry beats Dion Lennox in a no-disqualification match that sees OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) brawl to the outside with the rest of DarkState (Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, Osiris Griffin) and Tony D'Angelo suddenly show up to hit both men with a Uranage before placing Hendry on top of Lennox for the pin and the win. After the match, security shows up to deal with Tony D'Angelo, but D'Angelo easily floors them as General Manager Ava watches.
