Raw Deal - Raw recap for October 6, 2025

Roman Reigns heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Before he can say much of anything, however, "Big" Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman show up. Heyman says that he does not know who has been advising him regarding public speaking since he broke his heart, then introduces Bronson Reed as "your tribal thief." He says that Roman has never been beaten so badly that he had to be carried out on a stretcher and taken to the hospital in an ambulance, then Bronson demands the microphone. Bronson says that Roman's father Sika was never stretchered out, and neither was his uncle, yet Roman was stretchered out by his own hands. Roman says Heyman knows his family, not Bronson, and that his father would say "Fight him now." He then declares "Let's do this...now!" Heyman stops Bronson, telling him that Roman is on his time. Roman can tell what Heyman is saying to Bronson immediately, then says he is levels above Roman and that it will be his time no matter what. Heyman then says that this match will happen at Crown Jewel, and that it will be an Australian Street Fight. Roman accepts the challenge. Heyman says "Good night, everybody!" Roman says Bronson and Heyman walked in like tough guys only to walk out like bitches, and Bronson gets in the ring with Roman and the two men brawl. Roman sends Bronson tumbling into the timekeeper's area before breaking down the announce table and being stopped by officials and security, who try to stop the brawl but cannot stop a Superman Punch to Bronson.

Backstage, Asuka demands that General Manager Adam Pearce make a match against Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky tonight. Pearce says Rhea is in Australia, then says that he will ask Iyo Sky if she wants the match. Pearce leaves, then Kairi shows up. Asuka says they will teach Rhea and Iyo respect, then tells Iyo that she will face Iyo tonight. Kairi does not want to face Iyo, but Asuka slaps her and tells her the match is happening. Kairi reneges, and Asuka says "You'd better win."

Maxxine Dupri beats Becky Lynch by count-out. During the match, Becky throws Maxxine around on the outside before showboating on the announce table, and Maxxine gets back in the ring before Becky does to win by count-out.

Backstage, Roman Reigns meets with The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso). Jimmy is offended by Bronson Reed's comments, and Jey says he has Roman's back. Roman says he does not need help and that Jey should be focused on his own business, as CM Punk is talking at the top of the hour and not Jey. Jey leaves, then Roman tells Jimmy that he sees and hears everything, and wants to know what the problem is with Jey taking advice from him before walking off.

Backstage, Lyra Valkyria is met by Bayley, who wants to be in Lyra's corner. Lyra asks Bayley how she is feeling, then says Raquel Rodriguez will be out there and that she needs all the help she can get.

Roxanne Perez beats Lyra Valkyria after Bayley counters a move that Roxanne is about to hit Lyra with as Raquel Rodriguez distracts the referee. Raquel hits Bayley with a big boot afterwards, and when Lyra hits Raquel with a tope suicida, Roxanne hits Lyra with a DDT on the outside followed by Pop Rox inside the ring tow in. After the match, Bayley and Lyra go after Roxanne and Raquel.

Next week's Raw will air live on Netflix at 8 AM Eastern/5 AM Pacific.

We see a video package for John Cena vs. "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles at Crown Jewel and their past matches up to this point.

Backstage, Jackie Redmond interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles. The interview is interrupted by The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio), and Dominik says Styles thinks he can beat Cena when he cannot beat him while Finn tells him that a tag team title match is a big mistake. AJ Styles proposes that they have a six-man tag match just to see how tough The Judgment Day is.

Rusev is seen arguing with General Manager Adam Pearce as CM Punk heads to the ring.

Backstage, "The Phenomenal" AJ Lee and Dragon Lee meet up with Penta and ask him to team up with them against The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio). All of a sudden, Lyra Valkyria and Bayley are seen attacking Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez jumps in before officials try to restore order.

PBR bullriders John Crimber, Hudson Bolton and Rocker Steiner as well as the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders are seen in the crowd.

CM Punk heads to the ring. Punk thanks the fans for their warm welcome back to WWE for AJ Lee, then mentions the Men's Crown Jewel Championship match and his promise to keep his nose out of "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes' business despite his history with Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. He says he started the year beating Rollins on Netflix and that he will do it again to end the year, and says he will get the World Heavyweight Championship back as he has Rollins' number. All of a sudden, LA Knight shows up, and he says that he has yet to win the World Heavyweight Championship, and while he thanks him for being a good husband, he calls him "a trash champion" for losing the title to Rollins and losing to Rollins again and again. Knight then brags that Rollins has never pinned him, with Punk reminding him that he has never been champion as he does, and Knight calls Punk a "two-time loser" while he is a "two-time winner" against Rollins, especially with Punk giving him one of those wins. As Knight states that he will be World Heavyweight Champion, "Main Event" Jey Uso shows up and says his mind is clear and that he never got his title rematch and that he is the one who is up next. Knight says Jey had the title, but he lost it, and his time came and went. He then says it is his time and not Jey's or Punk's, and says Jey will never be Roman and should be focusing on the tag titles. Jimmy shows up, and as Knight addresses him as well as Jey, Jey superkicks Knight, then Punk says that if Jey wants the title, he will have to get in line behind him. He then says Jey should focus on being part of a tag team, as he likes Jey but hates "Lil' Roman." Jimmy has to hold Jey back, and that gives Punk the means to knock Jey out. When Punk turns around, Jimmy superkicks him.

We hear from Iyo Sky, who says that what happened between herself and Asuka is Asuka's fault, not Rhea Ripley's. She admits she owes so much to Asuka, who she viewed like a big sister, but says Asuka's jealousy and disrespect changed everything. She says that Asuka was a reason she became champion, but not the only reason, then says Rhea is right and that Asuka wants only what is best for herself. Iyo also says a real family member would not take credit for her success, then says they are not family anymore and that she is starting to find out who is. She then says that at Crown Jewel, Asuka will find out she is not ready for Iyo.

Kairi Sane beats Iyo Sky after Iyo Sky attacks Asuka again during the match. When Kairi pins Iyo, she is able to grab Asuka's hands for leverage. After the match, Kairi Sane hits Iyo Sky with an In-Sane Elbow with help from Asuka.

We see part two of a set of video package of the history between "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes and Seth "Freakin'" Rollins.

Backstage, Becky Lynch blames the referee on tonight's loss as Seth "Freakin'" Rollins continues to look at the Rolex watch that "The American Nightmare' Cody Rhodes gave him. Rollins then tells Paul Heyman that they should talk and says that he must win this Saturday. He then asks "What if I don't?" Heyman says that if Rollins loses, he loses the locker room and he loses the faith of The Vision, and he will throw away everything they have worked for and become a "de facto secondary champion." Rollins then mentions that Heyman left himself out of the equation, and demands a straight answer. Heyman says he will eventually have to ask himself why he picked Rollins over Roman Reigns.

"Main Event" Jey Uso is talking with Roman Reigns when Jimmy Uso shows up, and Jey asks Jimmy about why he was out there. Jey thinks Jimmy is protecting CM Punk and tells him to figure out whose side he is on. Jey leaves, then Jimmy tells Roman that he and Jey are nothing like him. Roman says that Jey became more like him and less like Jimmy when he was World Heavyweight Champion, and if he needs to help his brothers, sometime he will need to stay out of his way.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles is interrupted on the microphone before the next match.

"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Dragon Lee and Penta beat The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio). During the match, Rusev shows up and goes after Dominik, who escapes after Rusev gets superkicked by Penta. Styles then hits McDonagh with the Styles Clash for the win. After the match, AJ Styles announces that the story between himself and John Cena writes itself and that they will leave it all in the ring at Crown Jewel.

Backstage, LA Knight is met by CM Punk. Knight tells CM Punk that if they have to do this, then Punk should try not to get pinned tonight.

CM Punk and LA Knight beat The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) after Punk hits Jey with the GTS only for Knight to tag himself in for the pin and the win.

Championship Gold - Championship Wrestling recap for October 6, 2024

Note: This is a replay of the 11th episode ever from November 26th, 2010.

Austin Aries beats Famous B by submission. After the match, David Marquez interviews Aries, who looks forward to doing things on his time and immediately does David's job by calling for a commercial break. After the commercial break, Aries says everyone wants instant gratification, and says he only gives answers when he dictates. As for why he is here, everyone will have to stay tuned to find out, as he will not reveal why until he is ready. As for opponents and championship, he has been a champion all of his life and that NWA Championship Wrestling From Hollywood will be no different, then chastises the fans for saying he sucks. He says that while he and "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce are not strangers to one another, he has respect for Pearce because he is a straight shooter and tells people when they are wrong.

We see another vignette for Slymm, who debuts tonight.

It is announced that "Rockstar" Joey Kaos vs. Joey Ryan will be the main event for tonight following Joey Kaos' actions from last week's show.

Backstage, Jonny Loquasto interviews "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce while advertising the next TV taping at the Showcase Theatre at 615 North La Brea Avenue on December 8th. Pearce admits he does not have much to say and wonders why Loquasto is even backstage. Loquasto says it is due to "rave reviews" for his interview skills, then tells the fans to scream as loudly as they can if they think Loquasto has a future, even stating that he can hear the fans through the television. Loqausto thanks Pearce for the support, and Pearce says "I hate you" before refusing to let Loquasto borrow his hat.

Lucky O'Shea beats Rachel Summerland. During the match, a man wearing similar colors to Lucky shops up, distracting Rachel, and Lucky wins with a schoolkid pin.

Backstage, David Marquez interviews Joey Ryan. He says he has people always coming after him and that everyone wants a piece of him, and after years of this, he is still standing, and "Rockstar" Joey Koas will be no different after dealing with someone with movie star charisma and good looks who is bringing "sleazy" back to professional wrestling.

We hear from Colt Cabana, who says that NWA Championship Wrestling From Hollywood has a new home at the Showcase Theatre at 615 North La Brea Avenue starting December 8th. Bell time is 8 PM.

Backstage, Jeff Resnick interviews "The New York Knockout" Nikki, who talks about how she became "The New York Knockout" as a young girl when someone tried to trade three Oreo cookies for her twinkies and accidentally spilled Juicy Juice all over her velour tracksuit.

Slymm beats Ray Rosas in his NWA Championship Wrestling From Hollywood debut. After the match, David Marquez interviews Slymm, who says that no matter where he goes, he has "all his gangstas in the house," and says that while he has it all, he does not have the NWA World Championship, and he will take on all comers and not back down from anybody.

"Rockstar" Joey Kaos beats Joey Ryan. After the match, Kaos continues to attack Joey Ryan, and "Pretty" Peter Avalon joins in as another referee shows up to restore order. After Joey Ryan is out of the ring, Willie Mack shows up with a 2x4 to chase Kaos and Avalon out of the ring.

They're On A Rampage - Rampage recap for October 6, 2023

The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and Best Friends (Chuck Taylor and Trent Barretta) beat "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard, Jake Hager and Daniel Garcia after Anna Jay is advertently taken out.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Eddie Kingston. He expects everyone in tonight's four-way match to go all out as he is ready to defend his championship. Sonjay Dutt, Jeff Jarrett, Karen Jarrett and Satnam Singh shows up, and Sonjay tells Eddie he disrespected Jay Lethal and wants Eddie to defend the Ring of Honor World Championship against Jay Lethal, to which Eddie says he will do when Jay Lethal proves himself. Eddie leaves, then Stokely Hathaway shows up and tells Sonjay and company that he has a very interesting proposal for them.

We see a vignette for Danhausen, who is returning soon.

The Blackpool Combat Club (Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta) beat "Timeless" Levi Shapiro and "Wise Guy" Nick Ruiz.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews "Cool Hand" Angelo Parker, "Daddy Magic" Matt Menard, Jake Hager and Daniel Garcia. Garcia says he was trying to handle business by himself, but Menard blames him for their loss tonight. Parker says that the five of them took a stand against Chris Jericho, and tonight was a chance to prove they did the right thing and they failed as a family. He then says that they will get Anna Jay checked out, then everyone leaves, with Garcia being looked down upon.

Komander beats Lince Dorado (making his AEW debut), Penta el Zero Miedo and Johnny TV in a four-way match to earn a shot at the Ring of Honor World Championship.

Backstage, we hear from Ortiz. He says he was supposed to have a face-to-face meeting with Mike Santana, but Santana avoided him and went home in protest. He says that Santana is still the sad little kid crying after a fight he caused and that his tough guy image is a defense mechanism, and that he runs from the truth. He says that people still look up to them as role models, especially as they reached heights not many reach, and yet he spits on the people who look up to them. Ortiz then says that he will expose Santana, saying that if karma took his one knee, then he will take the other.

Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida beat "The Native Beast" Nyla Rose and "The Problem" Marina Shafir after Shida hits Shafir with the Night Cap to send a message to Saraya ahead of their AEW Women's World Championship match on Tuesday.

Izzi Dame and Tatum Paxley beat Kelani Jordan and Valentina Feroz.

In backstage footage from earlier today, Kelly Kincaid interviews Dante Chen. Dante says everyone knows how much he loves being in the ring on LVL UP showing what he can do, whether it be a first-time opponent or someone as experienced as Drew Gulak. He knows that Gulak is a student of the game and an experienced follower of catch wrestling, and he has surroundd himself with other he can teach and learn from. He says that Myles Borne and Damon Kemp have an amateur style and that Charlie Dempsey has a hybrid British-European Style, then says that tonight, Gulak will experience something he has never faced before: Singapore Style. He admits he has no idea what it is exactly, but he is really good at it.

Javier Bernal and Luca Crusifino beat Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont after Bernal grabs Igwe's tights.

Drew Gulak beats Dante Chen.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown recap for October 6, 2023

LA Knight heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Before LA Knight can say much of anything, The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa) arrives. Paul Heyman says that he has a knack for seeing "the next big thing" and "the next megastar" in wrestling, and that the next big megastar in the business is going to be LA Knight. He says that Knight has earned his respect and admiration, but also his attention and his condolences, for The Bloodline will have to do something about LA Knight getting in their business. LA Knight asks Heyman "Are you done running your fat jowls yet?" He then thanks Heyman for the compliments, then pulls out a receipt and says he didn't buy "any of [his] B.S." Jimmy Uso then tells Knight to shut up and that he is not making it to Fastlane. Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa slowly approach LA Knight before John Cena slides into the ring and stands with Knight. The Bloodline retreats. LA Knight says that if The Bloodline want to act tough, then he and Jimmy Uso can have a match and he can shut his mouth.

Backstage, JD McDonagh is with The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio). When Damien Priest asks why McDonagh is there, Rhea Ripley says it is because he wants him to be there.

Charlotte Flair and Asuka beat Damage CTRL (Bayley and Iyo Sky).

Backstage, Paul Heyman tells Jimmy Uso that Roman Reigns has to authorize things. As Jimmy Uso says that Roman is never around to authorize anything, The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa) run into The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) and JD McDonagh.

Backstage, The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa) and The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) and JD McDonagh have a staredown. Rhea Ripley demands everyone leave so that she and Paul Heyman can have a chat. The room soon clears, and Rhea and Heyman have to call Priest and Solo off, respectively. Rhea then says "Let's talk."

Bobby Lashley beats Rey Mysterio following the distraction from The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford), who lay out Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro. After the match, officials check on Wilde and del Toro on the outside.

Backstage, Rhea Ripley is still taking with Paul Heyman. Rhea tells Heyman he is a wise man and tells him to make the wise decision, for The Bloodline (Paul Heyman, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa) and The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) are stronger together. Heyman says he likes the idea and that he will get it authorized with Roman Reigns, which Heyman has to explain to Rhea. Rhea demands Heyman that he acknowledge her, then insists that Heyman will acknowledge her just like Jey Uso acknowledged her on Raw or else they will find out who is stronger between their two parties. Heyman sputters, and Rhea Ripley insists he acknowledge her before allowing Heyman to make his phone call.

We hear from Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre, who say that the curse of the women's tag team titles will curse and that everyone will rise to their feet for them as they live deliciously.

Before the next match, Austin Theory says that he is "The 150 Million Hit Man" and that Dragon Lee's career will last 150 seconds after he experiences "Austin Theory Live."

Dragon Lee beats Austin Theory. Grayson Waller shows up to stand in Theory's corner soon after the start of the match. Near the end of the match, Cameron Grimes shows up and attacks Waller on the outside after Waller gets the cheap shot on Dragon Lee behind the referee's back, giving Dragon Lee the win via a stack-up pinfall attempt.

Backstage, Rhea Ripley is seen talking with Jimmy Uso.

Backstage, Rey Mysterio tells Santos Escobar and Zelina Vega that there is now way that Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro will be able to compete at Fastlane with their six-man tag match on the horizon, and that he will have to make a phone call to ensure a replacement tag partner.

LA Knight beats Jimmy Uso by disqualification after Solo Sikoa attacks him. After the match, John Cena runs into the ring to make the save for LA Knight, then The Judgment Day (Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio) and JD McDonagh show up. Rhea Ripley and Paul Heyman shake hands, with Heyman saying "Authorized!" The Judgment Day, JD McDonagh, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa all get on the apron, then "Main Event" Jey Uso shows up and stands with Cena and Knight. They are soon joined by "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, and the four of them brawl with The Judgment Day and The Bloodline, with Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso taking everyone out. Cena then finds himself solo in the ring with Solo Sikoa, and both men fight in the ring. LA Knight gets in the ring and clotheslines Solo out of the ring, then JD McDonagh gets in the ring only to be utterly decimated.

Backstage, Brian Myers runs into Shera and Raj Singh, then a man in a yellow hoodie shows up repeating "I am violence!" before security escorts him out. Myers then meets Delirious, who mentions the Twilight Zone as he speaks. Myers then speaks to a random woman backstage.

We see a video package for Masha Slamovich vs. Jordynne Grace for the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship at Bound For Glory.

Steve Maclin beats Moose after special guest referee Sami Callihan hits both men with the Cactus Driver '97 and places Maclin on top of Moose.

Jack Price, Jason Hotch and Shogun talk about the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Match and who will enter it. All of a sudden, Joe Hendry shows up and says he has gotten the last slot in the match, and numerous people show up to celebrate with him.

Decay (Taya Valkyrie and Jessicka) beat The Swingerellas (Swingerella #1 and Swingerella #2).

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews VXT ("The Virtuosa" Deonna Purrazzo and Chelsea Green). Chelsea Green says they beat Decay so badly they had to repackage, and Deonna Purrazzo says it looks repulsive. She says they have broken up friendships, and Chelsea says they will leave everyone vexed.

Alex Shelley beats Matt Taven by countering the Climax with Shell Shock despite Maria Kanellis-Bennett distracting the referee so that Mike Bennett can attack Shelley.

In footage from after Outside The Ropes from earlier this week, "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander is confronted by Eddie Edwards, and numerous officials - and Alisha Edwards - have to hold both men back When Eddie confronts Alisha and asks her whose side she is on, Alisha says this has gone too far and that "either this ends, or we do."

Scott D'Amore oversees a contract signing between Jordynne Grace and Masha Slamovich for their Impact Wrestling Knockouts World Championship match at Bound For Glory. Slamovich arrives first, followed by Jordynne. After D'Amore mentions what is at stake - Jordynne's Knockouts Championship and Slamovich's undefeated streak - he hands out the contract. Slamovich simply signs the contract and hands it back to D'Amore. Unlike Slamovich, however, Jordynne has something to say, and she tells Slamovich that she truly respects her for what she has done in Impact. She says that she knows how badly Slamovich wants the Knockouts title and that she wants it as badly as she wanted it when she was in Slamovich's position, but she is not ready to give it up, especially after all she has done. Jordynne talks about how she became the first Triple Crown Knockout in Impact Wrestling history, then says that while Slamovich is undefeated, Slamovich has not learned from losing, and she will teach that lesson to her. She signs the contract. Before the signing ends, Masha Slamovich says to Jordynne - in Russian - "Masha's gonna kill you." She then flips the table and pins Jordynne under it before attacking her. Jordynne fights back, however, and she goes for a Muscle Buster through the table before Slamovich escapes it and puts Jordynne through it with a Snow Plow to end the show.

Down The Rhodes - Rhodes To The Top recap for October 6, 2021 (Episodes One and Two)

Cody and Brandi talk about the upcoming Double or Nothing event, which is the first one to break back the fans. Cody reveals they will not be flying and will instead be taking the Nightmare Express - a bus that Cody uses for get-togethers - to the venue. After Brandi says that QT Marshall will not be her child's godfather, then says that she does not want anyone in her space at the back of the bus.

At the Nightmare Factory training school, Cody talks about how he and QT Marshall train potential AEW wrestlers. QT Marshall compares victory and defeat in wrestling to sex, and Preston "10" Vance talks about the recruits who have successfuly graduated from the training school. Ricky Starks talks about his injury and says he is thankful it did not entirely take him off of television.

At home, Cody talks with Teil. Cody says he is more overwhelmed than nervous about having a daughter, and wants to make sure that he can spend a lot of time with his daughter while continually on business. We learn more about Teil, who is protective of her family's legacy, and understands that Cody does not want history to repeat itself with him and Dustin, and tells him to enjoy the time he has with his new daughter.

Ricky Starks, QT Marshall and Preston "10" Vance show up as Cody's "baby task force." Brandi is happy about Cody's initiative, but she is afraid that they will wing it as they assemble everything meant for the baby. When it comes to the new car seat, they find out that assembling it and setting it up is not all that it is cracked up to be.

QT Marshall brings out the Nightmare Express, and Cody thinks he has everything ready until Brandi says that the bed is not on the bus. QT Marshall and Cody think about how many pay-per-view buys Double or Nothing will get while trying to cheer Brandi up.

Cody makes it to the venue and takes part in a meet-and-greet for the fans. While there, he and Brandi are met by Eric Bischoff, and Cody talks about the weigh-in segment for tonight's Dynamite. Bischoff catches up with Tony Khan, and Teil and her family also show up as Cody makes sure everything goes well.

The weigh-in segment takes place. Everything goes well until the scale fails to work, which causes the fans to get upset. Meanwhile, fireworks are in the sky after the local baseball team has won their game, and at this point, the weigh-in segment has fallen apart.

Backstage, everyone agrees that the weigh-in segment was a failure. Cody takes full responsibility for the weigh-in not going as planned, especially with everything he is juggling.

Cody meets with Eric Bischoff at a hotel bar. Cody mentions the weigh-in segment, but Eric Bischoff tells him not to worry about as the passion was still there and things will still go wrong, and that AEW is still a new company with a lot of ground to cover. He tells Cody to focus on the big picture and to remember what got AEW to the dance and focus on that as he talks about working with his father Dusty in World Championship Wrestling.

Brandi Rhodes gets a send-off from the locker room backstage, then meets with her publicist and some AEW legal officers. Brandi wants to be back at work as soon as she can after having her baby, especially with the "what have you done for me lately" nature of wrestling.

Cody takes part in the AEW Fan Fest before Double or Nothing. Meanwhile, Brandi is interviewed by Dave LaGreca for Busted Open Radio.

Cody wakes up with back pain on the morning of Double or Nothing and gets it treated by Doc Samson.

Brandi meets with Dustin before leaving work for a while. Brandi reminds that the family is always here for her, and that Brandi will be right back at AEW with everyone else.

Costume designer Sandra Gray shows Cody's jacket for tonight's show, which contains some family photos on the inside. Cody is impressed, then gets focused for his upcoming match with Anthony Ogogo.

Cody Rhodes vs. Anthony Ogogo at Double or Nothing takes place. Brandi has her misgivings about the match due to Ogogo's three matches have only been two minutes long as well as Cody's back pains, but the match goes well. Cody looks forward to facing Ogogo in the ring again, while Brandi tries to figure out how Cody keeps juggling everything despite his physical and mental fatigue.

Anniversary - Dynamite recap for October 6, 2021

The Super Elite (Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson, Adam Cole, Kenny Omega) beat Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus), Christian Cage and Bryan Danielson in an eight-man tag team match.

We hear from Jon Moxley, who says he is a little pissed off and that there is nobody in AEW who can beat him, and if ladders have to be involved, so be it. Moxley says that Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is his city, AEW is his company and the world title is his belt.

CM Punk heads to the ring. Punk talks about how he lived, wrestled and ran a training school in Philadelphia for about three years and says the city gave him so much, and how he was rich not just monetarily, but spiritually, when he was there. He says that Philadelphia has been and always will be special to him, he has always wanted to give back to the city, and offers to either wrestle tonight or buy everyone cheesecakes or cheese steaks. CM Punk then says "You can buy yourself a cheese steak, I'm gonna wrestle." He then says Daniel Garcia tried to stop him in Chicago, Illinoios then says that if Garcia has any balls, he will wrestle him in Philadelphia on Rampage. Punk then gives his red-and-black Nike Air Jordans to a kid in the front row dressed like Orange Cassidy.

We see footage of Arn Anderson burning a coat in a metal can as we hear podcast audio of Anderson saying Cody is "too Hollywood." Cody Rhodes sees what is going on, and Arn tells Cody to give him his tie. He says that while Cody is Hollywood, he threw the Nightmare Family away. He says that while Cody is Hollywood, he threw the Nightmare Family away. When Cody tries to explain himself, Arn slaps him, then Cody throws his tie into the fire.

We hear from Bobby Fish. He says he has been a wrestler and martial artist his entire life and that he has wrestled and won titles all over the world. He says that Sammy Guevara will be the shortest-reigning TNT Champion in history because of him.

Before the next match, Sammy Guevara gifts Fuego del Sol with a brand new Dodge Ram - which Fuego jokes about trading for a TNT Championship title shot - before saying he will beat Bobby Fish.

Sammy Guevara retains the AEW TNT Championship against Bobby Fish. During the match, it is announced that Dynamite will air next week on Saturday, October 16th at 8 PM Eastern/7 PM Central instead of the usual Wednesday. After the match, Dan Lambert, The Men of the Year and America's Top Team shows up and surrounds the ring before attacking him following some taunting by Paige Van Zant. Fuego del Sol runs into the ring to make the save for Sammy, but he is instantly decimated. Suddenly, Chris Jericho and Jake Hager run into the ring and clean house. Afterwards, Lambert says Jericho has been a big deal in the business for a long time and that Tony Khan has all the pull in the world, but as far as Philadelphia goes, Jorge Masvidal runs things. Lambert then challenges Jericho to a six-man tag team match. Jericho says he did not hear a thing Lambert said, then has to switch microphones when the first one doesn't work before telling Lambert that The Inner Circle will beat the shit out of him and his "dipshit" team.

We hear from The Acclaimed ("Platinum" Max Caster and Anthony Bowens). Max Caster says that he and Bowens will take the tag titles from The Lucha Brothers (Penta el Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix) on Rampage, and Bowens says they will stomp them out before they and the fans celebrate.

Tony Schiavone talks about AEW celebrating their first and second anniversaries and introducing the TNT Championship one year ago. He mentions that Dynamite will soon move to TBS on January 5th, then introduces the TBS Championship, the new secondary women's title, with help from referee Aubrey Edwards. It is then announced that the first TBS Champion will be decided in a tournament.

In footage from earlier today, Jim Ross interviews Darby Allin. Allin says that last week, MJF made things very public, then talks about the passing of his uncle, saying it shaped who he is and says he paints his face because half of him is dead inside. He says that he faced death that day, but he is still here. Darby says MJF can say whatever he wants, but he will not win the war physically or mentally because he has never met someone like him.

Darby Allin beats Nick Comoroto with the Stundog Millionaire followed by the Coffin Drop around the end of a commercial break. After the match, QT Marshall hits Sting with a Diamond Cutter, and it has no effect. Sting kicks QT Marshall down low before hitting him with the Scorpion Death Drop.

We hear from The Dark Order. Evil Uno says he has not made the best decisions as a leader, then says it is up to The Dark Order to decide who should make the decisions. Alex Reynolds says everyone should vote, which everyone agrees with. After an argument over who Alan "5" Angels looks like, Anna Jay gets everyone on the same page.

Tony Schiavone interviews Dante Martin. Dante says he has been a problem to everyone in the locker room and has gotten in the ring with big names and held his own. Dante Martin then issues an open challenge, which is answered by Malakai Black. Malakai Black spits black mist into Dante's face, and the lights go back out. When they come back on, Malakai is alone in the ring, and he says "The House of Black accepts." Dante is then seen lying outside of the ring.

"Absolute" Ricky Starks is in the ring. Starks talks about the FTW Championship and says he has the same "FTW mindset" as Taz, then says that he wanted to make history until Brian Cage refused to show up to work. As Starks says that he wanted to wrestle Brian Cage in a Philadelphia Street Fight, Cage runs into the ring and goes after Starks, who is helped out of the ring by Hook and Powerhouse Hobbs.

We hear from the women's division, which is all too eager to fight for the TBS Championship in a tournament.

Serena Deeb beats Hikaru Shida with the Serenity Lock. After the match, Serena takes the trophy meant for Shida's 50th win and smacks it into Shida's head.

Backstage, Alex Marvez interviews Darby Allin, who accepts MJF's challenge for Rampage bfore a black stretch limo shows up. Suddenly, a masked man in black hits Darby from behind with a chair, and a team of masked men in black gang up on Darby. Another masked man chokes Darby Allin with his own skateboard as it becomes evident from one masked man hitting Darby with an F-10 that the masked men are The Pinnacle.

We hear from Lio Rush, who says that he is a huge fan of Dante Martin and wants to talk business with him, saying that Dante Marin is "an undervalued community" and "a sleeping giant" wanting to reach new heights. He offers his guidance to Dante in case he faces Malakai Black, and says his people can talk with Dante's people.

Backstage, Tony Schiavone interviews Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., Rebel and Jaymie Hayter. Britt says the rest of the women can fight each other over another title so she doesn't have to deal with their jealousy as she watches from the top.

"Hangman" Adam Page beats Orange Cassidy, PAC, Andrade el Idolo, Matt Hardy, Lance Archer and Jon Moxley in a Casino Battle Royal to earn a shot at the AEW World Championship. "Hangman" Adam Page is the Joker for this match.

During the first commercial break of Rhodes To The Top, Tony Schiavone interviews "Hangman" Adam Page, who is more focused on drinking beer before revealing that he has also recently become the father of a newborn son. On the subject of Kenny Omega and The Elite, Page realizes that he needs to catch up with some friends and make amends with others.

Tommy Dreamer beats Brian Myers by disqualification following a Kendo stick shot from Meyers. After the match, Myers keeps attacking Dreamer with the Kendo stick, and Scott D'Amore shows up with referees and security. After D'Amore tells Myers to stop, referees and security check on Dreamer as Myers heads to the back.

Backstage, Moose looks everywhere for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship but cannot find it.

Backstage, John E. Bravo tells everyone that his wedding is costing a fortune and asks everyone to pay up. Fallah Bahh steps up to get some money. Johnny Swinger mocks Fallah Bahh, which leads to a confrontation with The Deaners (Cody Deaner and Cousin Jake) with Crazzy Steve next to Johnny. John E. Bravo says that if they want to settle things in the ring, that is fine, then asks who will pay for the fondue fountain.

Rohit Raju shows up and says that he is here, and that he is the kindest and most giving person on the Impact roster, having given out more opportunities than anyone has handed out excuses for their life being miserable. He says that he has went from the last resort to the first round draft pick and that everyone wants his championship, but nobody will take advantage of his open challenge and asks who will answer it this week. The challenge is answered by Willie Mack. Rohit tells Willie Mack he had his opportunity and demands another opponent who has yet to answer the call. The challenge is answered by Jordynne Grace. When the bell rings, Rohit Raju refuses to hand the X Division Championship to the referee, Willie Mack - still at ringside - grabs at the belt. Jordynne Grace then rolls up a distracted Rohit Raju to win the X Division Championship...almost. After the match, it is announced that the X Division Championship was not on the line, and although Jordynne Grace won the match, she did not win the title. Rohit Raju admits Jordynne Grace beat him, but did not win the title as it was not on the line, and celebrates the fact that the title was not defended. When Rohit Raju goes to the back, Scott D'Amore congratulates Rohit Raju on becoming a fighting champion, then tells him he is in a match against Willie Mack, TJP, Trey Miguel, Chris Bey and Jordynne Grace in a six-way scramble for the X Division title at Bound For Glory.

Backstage, Fallah Bahh challenges Herndandez to an arm wrestling match, then bumps into him, spilling his coffee.

The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) beat XXXL (Acey Romero and Larry D). Jimmy Jacobs interviews Rich Swann's doctor, Dr. Foreman, who says that Rich Swann is ready today. As Jacobs interviews Swann, one of the doctors reveals himself to be Eric Young, who attacks Rich Swann's leg again.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley). Shelley says everyone is gunning for them, but tonight, they have Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. As they talk about their opponents, The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows) show up. "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson wishes The Motor City Machine Guns, who are in no mood for their advice. Gallows tells them that they will take the tag team titles, and to consider them guardian angels as they want them safe and sound for Bound For Glory.

Heath says he can bring this amount of money to the table, but D'Amore wants nothing to do with it and tosses the proposal away, causing contract negotiations to break down. Rhino meets with Heath, who is angry as he makes his way out the door.

We hear from Ethan Carter III, who congratulates Moose on controlling his narrative, but tells him to drop his attachment to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, which he drops off the side of a bridge. He then says "Free Moose."

Backstage, Ken Shamrock tells Sami Callihan that he feels bad about beating up Eddie Edwards, but Sami Callihan tells him the social media reaction is worth it and that he is becoming the old Ken Shamrock. Shamrock then attacks a random passer-by at Sami's behest.

The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) beat Ace Austin and Madman Fulton after The Good Brothers ("The Big LG" Doc Gallows and "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson) stop The North ("All Ego" Ethan Page and "The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander) from interfering and Gallows hits Madman Fulton while the referee is not looking.

"Absolute" Ricky Starks guests on commentary for the first four matches of the night.

Brandi Rhodes beats Kenzie Paige. After the match, Brandi is attacked from behind by Anna Jay, and Red Velvet comes out to make the save.

Jurassic Express (Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus) beat Ray Rosas and Eric Watts.

We hear from Chris Jericho, who talks about his history with Luther prior to his tag team match against him this week on Dynamite.

Chaos Project (Luther and Serpentico) beats Anthony Bowens and Lee Johnson.

Will Hobbs beats Ryzin.

We hear from Eddie Kingston, who says he is sick and tired of seeing "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss being so talented only to act like clowns and take everything as a joke. He says that they will not take The Lucha Bros. (Rey Fenix and Penta El Zero M) as a joke, as they are not a joke, do not play games and do not do "dumb, clown-ass bullshit." He tells Janela and Sonny to stay on their lower level, as they will learn about the top level when they see The Lucha Bros.

John "4" Silver beats QT Marshall after the interference of Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Alan "5" Angels and Preston "10" Vance of The Dark Order, which Marshall and "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes are able to fight off.

Griff Garrison and Brian Pillman Jr. beat Cezar Bononi and David Ali, breaking a four-match losing streak with their first win as a team and in AEW.

Big Swole beats Skyler Moore.

We hear from Matt Sydal, who admits that his AEW debut did not go as well as he had hoped it would, and blames his slipping on the top rope on "the intentional reckless, wanton abandon" of Michael Nakazawa. He says that he thought he would die, but he did not, as he is synonymous with resiliency. Sydal tells Nakazawa he will kick his ass so hard he will wish he never bought a bottle of baby oil in his life and end his career.

Matt Sydal beats Michael Nakazawa after countering the claw with the raspberry briefs into a modified crossface.

Eddie Kingston beats M'Badu with the Kimura Lock. After the match, he says that Jon Moxley should know about the Kimura Lock as he has tapped out to it a couple of times, and when he locks it in on Moxley, he will scream "I quit" in front of the whole world. He says that Moxley left him and his friends behind on the way to "the promised land" and says he should pay for it now. Kingston asks where Moxley is, then says Moxley is not coming and that he has never quit or tapped out. Kingston then says that he will mess Moxley up and have fun doing it.

We hear from "The Bad Boy" Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss. Janela says they show no fear in the ring, and while they lost their last match, they are bouncing back and they want the win so they can get on the tag team rankings as soon as possible.

Alexa says that The Kabuki Warriors have not accomplished as a team, and Nikki says they have proven everyone wrong before and will continue to do so tonight.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Charlotte Flair. Charlotte says that Bayley's "tough girl" act is just an act, and she is soon to become a ten-time Women's Champion.

Natalya beats Lacey Evans with the Sharpshooter during the kickoff. After the match, Natalya hits Lacey Evans with The Woman's Right.

Backstage, Sarah Schreiber interviews Ali, who feels like every time he tries to take a step forward, he takes two step back. He has had missed opportunities knock him down, but he will not stay down and he will get back up. Suddenly, Randy Orton shows up and says he remembers when Ali had momentum, because he stopped it. Ali challenges him to a match tonight to see who has the momentum. Orton accepts.

Backstage, Kayla Braxton interviews Erick Rowan, who says that Friday night was one battle in a war he intends to win. Tonight, there are no rules for Roman Reigns and "The New" Daniel Bryan to hide behind, and he and Luke Harper will get the respect they deserve.

It is announced that Tyson Fury will be on Raw tomorrow night to address what happened between him and Braun Strowman on SmackDown.

Becky Lynch retains the WWE Raw Women's Championship against Sasha Banks in a Hell In A Cell Match with a top rope Bexploder into a pile of steel chairs followed by the Dis-Arm-Her.

"The New" Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns beat Erick Rowan and Luke Harper in a tornado tag team match. After the match, Daniel Bryan offers to shake Roman Reigns hand, but when Roman advances, Daniel pulls his hand back and proposes they hug it out instead. They do.

Backstage, Charly Caruso interviews Seth Rollins. He says he has done a lot in his career, but he has never faced anyone like "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt. He says tonight's match will be the greatest test of his career. When the Cell comes down, he has no choice but to fight, survive and burn it down. He then says "At least...I hope so."

Randy Orton beats Ali with an RKO to counter the rolling neckbreaker following Ali standing on his hands to counter the RKO seconds earlier.

Tomorrow night on Raw: Natalya vs. Lacey Evans in a Last Woman Standing Match!

The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) beat Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross to win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships after Asuka spits green mist into Nikki Cross' face behind the referee's back.

The Viking Raiders (Ivar and Erik) and Braun Strowman beat The O.C. ("The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson) by disqualification after Gallows and Anderson refuse to listen to the referee's instructions as they stomp on Strowman. After the match, The Viking Raiders make the save for Strowman and take out Gallows and Anderson, and Strowman swats Styles out of a Phenomenal Forearm with a devastating right hand. When Gallows and Anderson help Styles up, they have to help him to the back after it is clear that Styles is disoriented that he cannot stand up straight or remember what day it is.

Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) talk about the upcoming WWE Draft Showcase and tomorrow night's Tyson Fury open mic announcement. Suddenly, R-Truth and Carmella show up, and Tamina wins the WWE 24/7 Championship off Carmella before punching out Tyler Breeze.

Before the next match, King Corbin says he is disappointed to have to face Chad Gable again, especially after he put The Rock in his place. He demands respect from the fans, saying he is giving them a glimmer of hope. He then tells the fans that no matter how bad they have it, Chad Gable has it worse, as he will never be tall enough to be taken seriously or good enough to beat him. He then hopes that Gable's career is short like his legs, then dubs him "Shorty Gable."

Chad Gable beats King Corbin with a schoolkid pin as the referee tries to stop King Corbin from using his royal scepter as a weapon. After the match, ring announcer Greg Hamilton calls Chad Gable "Shorty Gable."

Tamina is seen running away from Carmella and R-Truth near the international commentary tables, and she uses Funaki as a human shield. When R-Truth tries to get Funaki to defend himself, Tamina pushes him into R-Truth, then Carmella hits a superkick and allows R-Truth to win the WWE 24/7 Championship for the 20th time.

Charlotte Flair beats Bayley with the Figure Eight after Bayley gets caught using the top rope for leverage to win the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship for the fifth time, giving Charlotte her tenth championship reign on the main roster.

Backstage, Chad Gable - who is okay with being called "Shorty Gable" now - tells Kayla Braxton to ask King Corbin how it felt to come up short tonight after not knowing when to quit. He says that tonight, Gable was the bigger man. As Gable walks away, he is suddenly ganged up on by King Corbin, who attacks him before tossing him into a garbage can.

"The Fiend" Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship ends in referee stoppage after Rollins hits Wyatt with a steel chair, ladder, toolbox and a sledgehammer to the head. Seth Rollins retains the WWE Universal Championship. After the match, the Cell comes up, and numerous medical personnel tend to Bray Wyatt, putting him on a stretcher - while fans chant "AEW," "bullshit," and "restart the match" - but Rollins still goes after Wyatt. Wyatt's right hand immediately goes for Rollins' mouth and applies the Mandible Claw. Bray Wyatt then hits Sister Abigail on Rollins outside of the ring, then the fans chant "A as Bray Wyatt exposes the concrete outside of the ring. Bray Wyatt then hits Rollins with Sister Abigail on the concrete floor before putting the Mandible Claw back on him to end the show.

Super Show-Down - The Results

The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) retain the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships against The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro).

Charlotte Flair beats Becky Lynch by disqualification after Becky hits Charlotte to break out of the Figure Eight. Becky Lynch retains the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship. After the match, Charlotte chases after Becky and both women brawl, and Becky hits the Bexploder before teasing heading to the back so she can knee Charlotte's head into the barricade.

Elias and Kevin Owens are in the ring. Elias proceeds to play the opening chords to "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC before going into something else, then says he has been all over the world and there may be no place on Earth that loves him as much as Melbourne, Australia, as the fans understand the universal truth that WWE stands for "Walk With Elias." He says it is going to be a great night, and it is going to be better because Kevin Owens is with him. Kevin says that usually nothing cheers him up like Elias' music, but he does not know if that will happen tonight, as they are just two great guys sitting in the ring together in "a cesspool of a city." Owens gets booed, and he responds by yelling "I told them Super Show-Down should be in Canada!" Elias says it is going to be okay, as Mick Malthouse called him up and told him that when things get bad, do not worry about it, as John Cena and Bobby Lashley will choke just like Colinwood did last Saturday. Before he can say much else, Lashley's entrance interrupts them.

Bobby Lashley and John Cena beat Elias and Kevin Owens. During the match, Cena debuts the "sixth move of doom," a powerful left jab known as the Shǎndiàn Quántóu (which translate from Chinese to English as "lightning fist"), to get the pinfall on Elias. After the match, Cena says he did not know what to expect coming back tonight, and even still, he wanted to say "thank you" to the fans. He says WWE has always been and will always be his home, and while his life is changing, he has never forgotten where he has come from. He says he has no idea what the future holds, so he is focusing on the now, and now, he is standing of 70,000 fans and there is not a better feeling in the world. He thanks the fans for coming to their country for this epic event to perform her tonight.

Nathan Flint and Tyler McInally are the Four 'n Twenty Pie Time Seat Upgrade recipients for tonight.

Before the next match, The IIconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) say they never thought they would be in Australia right now, and that there is no other country to compete in or a group of fans that they would like to compete in front of. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns) beat Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. During the match, Ambrose is inadvertently punched off the apron with an errant Superman Punch by Roman, and later on, Roman and Rollins are surrounded by Strowman, Ziggler, McIntyre and Ambrose. Ambrose gets into the ring and charges at Roman and Rollins, but runs between them and hits Strowman with a drop kick instead, staying true to The Shield.

Before the next match, The Miz grabs the microphone to say something, but he is almost instantly cut off by Daniel Bryan's entrance theme.

Daniel Bryan quickly beats The Miz with a small package to face "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at Crown Jewel, even after Miz uses his signature running knee against him.

It is announced that there will be a rematch for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship between Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch this Tuesday on SmackDown Live.

Before the next match begins, it is announced that the next match will be no-disqualification "as of now."

Triple H beats The Undertaker in a no-disqualification match that is billed as taking place for the last time ever, in a match that sees referee Mike Chioda get knocked out by 'Taker following a failed pinfall attempt following the Tombstone Piledriver, the second referee getting yanked out of the ring by Kane following a Pedigree, and constant involvement from Kane and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels. The win is Triple H's first victory against The Undertaker in a one-on-one match in sixteen years. After the match, Triple H and Shawn celebrate, then they, Kane and 'Taker come together in one last curtain call, which ends with Kane hitting Shawn with a clothesline and The Undertaker giving Triple H a Tombstone Piledriver. Kane and The Undertaker then then attack Shawn, and Shawn is then choke slammed through the announce table by 'Taker to end the show.

Cheeseburger beats Will Ferrara in a Fight Without Honor with a Shotei palm strike with a chain wrapped around it after Eli Isom and Ryan Nova put a stop to an attempted slam through a table by Rhett Titus.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for October 6, 2016

Lashley shows up to start tonight's show. He says he is the realest man in the wrestling business, and the hero, blue-chipper and number one person in TNA. He says that Ethan Carter III was just a warning, then Aron Rex shows up. He says that while Lashley may be #1, he changed the game and became Impact Grand Champion, and calls the Impact Grand Championship the title. Lashley tells Aron Rex not to pander to the people, and tells him that he is the guy around here. Gail Kim shows up and says she's changed the game - and women are changing the business - now that she is in the TNA Hall of Fame and a six-time Knockouts Champion. "Broken" Matt Hardy, Reby Hardy and Maxel show up and says TNA now exists in a "broken" universe after his and Brother Nero's win in The Great War. DJ Z shows up and says the X Division is where it's at, and that they're changing the game with the debut of "Team X Gold." Lashley says he has better things to do, and is about to leave when Billy Corgan shows up with some guy smoking a cigar, who turns out to be Aiden O'Shea. Billy states that tonight, all championships will be on the line except for the X Division title thanks to the debut of Team X Gold. Billy gives Lashley the choice between three men, but asks him to choose lightly as magic can happen. He then announces Team X Gold is coming up next.

DJ Z, Mandrew and Braxton Sutter beat Trevor Lee, Andrew Everett, and Marshe Rockett as part of Team X Gold.

We find out that Moose is one of the three potential opponents for Lashley. Moose says the people want to see him take on Lashley for the World title. He also says that Lashley is scared to face him.

It's time for Fact of Life with Eli Drake. Tonight's special guest is Ethan Carter III, who shows up and sits down. Eli Drake starts to mock EC3, calling him a choke artist and saying that he blew it at Bound For Glory. EC3 puts a stop to the dummy button pressing, saying his passion to become World champion has turned into vengeance and anger, and if Eli Drake presses the dummy button again, he will absolutely destroy him. Eli Drake teases pressing the button again, but pushes it to the side and stands up. He tells EC3 that he's had opportunities handed to him while Eli Drake himself has had to work for all he's gotten, and for that, EC3 isn't in his league. This ends the segment.

Maria Kanellis-Bennett chews out Allie backstage for ruining Bound For Glory for her, and Sienna says she will get the Knockouts Championship back while implying there will be dire consequences if Allie screws it up for her.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews the second potential opponent for Lashley: Eddie Edwards, who says that he was so close to becoming World champ against Lashley and can't wait to get another shot as he knows he can beat him.

Madison Rayne guests on commentary.

Gail Kim retains the TNA Knockouts Championship against Sienna. Laura Van Ness and Sienna attack Gail Kim after the match, and Maria tells Gail Kim that she has her rematch for the Knockouts Championship in a no-disqualification match, then the attack on Gail Kim continues.

Ethan Carter III is the third potential opponent for Lashley. He doesn't expect to be chosen, but he will accept the challenge if he is.

The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships against Decay (Crazzy Steve and Abyss) in a Wolf Creek Cage Match. (The feed cuts out near the end on Pop TV in the United States, leading to the results being posted on TNA's Twitter account.)

Cody and Brandi Rhodes show up. He says that the game is changing in TNA, with Gail Kim in the TNA Hall of Fame and The Great War going down like it did. He says that he did not wait to be kicked out of "his former home," as he left on his own. He then talks about the list of people he wants to face. At Bound For Glory, he found himself toe-to-toe with "The Miracle" Mike Bennett. He says that he has a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and says he wants the World title as he considers it the opportunity of a lifetime. Maria Kanellis-Bennett and "The Miracle" Mike Bennett show up, and The Miracle says he is returning the favor from Bound For Glory. It doesn't take long for Cody Rhodes and Mike Bennett to fight one another, and Mike Bennett escapes before Cody Rhodes can hit him with the Cross Rhodes.

After the break, Cody Rhodes says he was going to wait until his title shot, but now he wants his first match to be against "The Miracle" Mike Bennett next week.

Maria finds out from Aiden O'Shea that she does have her Knockouts title rematch. If she loses, however, she is no longer leader of the Knockouts.

Aron Rex retains the TNA Impact Grand Championship against Baron Dax by submission. After the match, Aron Rex proclaims that TNA - and the Impact Grand Championship - is changing the game. He calls the title opportunity he seized and opportunity to prove who's the best.

Lashley shows up. We see Lashley's potential opponents: Moose, Eddie Edwards and Ethan Carter III. Lashley mocks all three men, and says Eddie Edwards will be the easiest to face. He picks Eddie Edwards.

Seth Rollins shows up in a very bad news, and after shwoing footage of the beatdown Dean Ambrose got at his hands, Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble show up. As Rollins speaks, John Cena runs in and chases Seth Rollins into the crowd...only for Rollins to run into Ambrose. Rollins is trapped, and Ambrose beats up Rollins until Mercury and Noble pin Ambrose down. Rollins flees, then Triple H and Stephanie McMahon show up. Since Cena and Ambrose both want Rollins, they make it possible...in a 3-on-2 handicap match with Cena and Ambrose vs Rollins, Kane and Randy Orton.

Dolph Ziggler and The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) beat Cesaro and Gold & Stardust (Goldust and Stardust).

Adam Rose shows up with Kathie Lee and Hoda Kotb (called just Hoda here) from The Today Show for Breast Cancer Awareness Month....and from there, it gets awkward with Kathie Lee and Hoda getting booed as they bust wine bottles on each other's behinds before diving into the Exotic Express and partying along with them, Rose and The Bunny. (Yes, this all actually happened.)

Bo Dallas gets a surprise count-out victory against "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry.

Dean Ambrose shows up and complains about the aftermath of his match last week on SmackDown, Ambrose calls out John Cena to confront him. After Cena explains himself, it becomes pretty obvious that they may or may not coexist for one more night and that one might leave the other lying where they stand. After that, Ambrose walks out on Cena and leaves him high and dry as he hopes to "take the next train to Coney Island."

Dean Ambrose is seen taking the 2 Train that heads to Coney Island.

John Cena meets Triple H backstage. Triple H makes the match a 3-on-1 handicap match now that Dean Ambrose has walked out. Triple H also makes it that Seth Rollins is legal man when the match starts.

Brie Bella beats Summer Rae with one hand tied behind her back, much to Nikki Bella's chagrin.

Kane stares at a fruit basket until The Miz and Damien Sandow arrive, wanting to apologize for what happened the last time they met. Kane sees through them, and puts Miz against Sheamus.

Jack Swagger beats Tyson Kidd.

Michael Cole holds an exclusive interview with Roman Reigns, live via satellite. Roman feels better, but he's still taking the time to heal. He can't wait to return, assess and attack.

Tomorrow night on Main Event: Dolph Ziggler defends the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Bo Dallas!

Rusev and Lana show up. Lana bashes the WWE Universe for siding with Big Show for his desecration of the Russian flag, which got him suspended, inactive and placed in sensitivity training. Rusev says America is nothing and that Big Show is a coward, just like all of America. All of sudden, the one man nobody expected to show up does...The Rock. Rusev threatens to crush Rocky if he doesn't leave the ring. After some choice words, The Rock gives Rusev quite the ass-kicking.

Paige and Alicia Fox beat AJ Lee and Emma when AJ leaves Emma high and dry.

After saying that Luke Harper is set free last week, Bray Wyatt announces that Erick Rowan is also set free.

The Miz beats Sheamus after Damien Mizdow provides the distraction by eating Sheamus' Brogue Kick. After the match, Sheamus chases both Miz and Mizdow away with a steel chair.

Jerry Lawler puts a spotlight on the breast cancer survivors in the crowd, then introduces American television Joan Lunden, who is currently fighting her own battle with cancer. After thanking the WWE Universe, she names off the members of the breast cancer survivor section one by one. John Cena accompanies Joan on her return backstage.

NeNe Leakes will be on Raw next week!

John Cena beats Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Kane after the match gets out of control. All three men demolish Cena, but Dean Ambrose returns with a hot dog wagon. Ambrose get a messy advantage on Triple H's goons, but Orton and Kane get the upper hand and they escape with Rollins. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon show up, and Triple H is impressed they're back on the same page, so he puts Ambrose and Cena in a match at Hell in a Cell where the winner faces Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell Match later that night. Ambrose then hits Cena with a DDT to end the show.

He tosses the ref out and hits Daniel Bryan...then Brad Madox brings out Scott Armstrong. He makes the count only to be pushed back out of the ring and get knocked out as well. Show then confronts Orton and punches him out before staring down Maddox to end the show.

When asked if he likes ice cream, he says yes, "especially ice cream made with almond milk." When asked if he wants a tag team partner, he says no as he can do everything by himself. Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for October 6, 1997

WCW extends its thoughts and prayers to the family of Brian Pillman, 1962-1997.

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up. Hogan says he has been here week after week putting the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line, and that Sting is too afraid to face him. He also announces that he has heard that "Rowdy" Roddy Piper is on his way here to Minneapolis, Minnesota tonight and that he is at the wrong place at the wrong time. Hogan awaits him with bated breath as he will read that "skinny little punk" the riot act and wants Bischoff to be by his side when he does it.

Booker T beats Jeff Jarrett after Steve "Mongo" McMichael shows up and chews out Debra McMichael. When Debra slaps Mongo and Jarrett is about to go at it with Mongo, Mongo punches Jarrett and sends him right back into the ring, allowing Booker T to get the roll-up and the win.

This Saturday on WCW Saturday Night: Lex Luger! Jeff Jarrett! Disco Inferno! Ray Traylor! Chris Jericho!

Alex Wright beats Billy Kidman. Raven and ECW wrestler Perry Saturn are both seen in the front row during the match. Also, Debra McMichael and Steve "Mongo" McMichael are seen arguing backstage, and when Jeff Jarrett shows up, Mongo says he will have a way to settle everything at Halloween Havoc.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"The Cat" Ernest Miller beats Mortis. During the match, it is announced that Disco Inferno has signed for a match with Miss Jacqueline at Halloween Havoc according to the WCW Executive Committee. For the first time in WCW history, a female competitor is in a match for a title that has always been held by males. After the match, Miller chases after James Vandenberg.

The nWo makes an announcement stating that "Macho Man" Randy Savage will beat Diamond Dallas Page.

Scott Hall and Syxx show up. Hall announces that Kevin Nash is at home recuperating from an injured knee, and that he is hurt as well, as indicated by his taped-up ribs. He would be at home recuperating, but he refuses to let down the fans. As for how they got hurt at the same time, it happened at Nash's house when Nash fell off his stool and Hall laughed so hard he put his back out when they watch old tapes of "The Living Legend" Larry Zbyszko, and tells Zbyszko and Lex Luger that they're sitting at home while the nWo carries the load, and if he has to crawl to Las Vegas to take on Luger and Zbyszko at Halloween Havoc, they're still going down. Pyrotechnics then signal the start of the second hour.

Scott Hall beats Hector Garza after manhandling the referee and allowing Syxx to interfere during the match. After the match, Syxx kicks the referee in the back of the head as he lifts Hall's arm in victory, then Hall puts the referee in the Torture Rack, revealing that he is not even hurt. As referees show up to restore order, Scott Hall takes a can of black spray paint and spray paints the letter "Z" on the back of the referee's shirt.

We take a special look at Bill Goldberg, and we learn that Goldberg played football for the University of Georgia and the Atlanta Falcons.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Disco Inferno by disqualification after "Macho Man" Randy Savage runs in and attacks Page. Disco Inferno retains the WCW World Television Championship. Savage exposes the concrete below the mats outside of the ring in an attempt to piledrive Page on it, but Interim WCW Commissioner "Rowdy" Roddy Piper stops Savage and allows Page to hit Savage with a Diamond Cutter on the concrete before Page and Piper flee through the crowd. The rest of the New World Order rush in to check on Savage and demand that a doctor come out. Medics show up with Miss Elizabeth and a stretcher, and Hogan instructs some of his men to head to the back to keep "Rowdy" Roddy Piper from escaping. The crowd sings "Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye)" as Savage is placed on the gurney.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Interim WCW Commissioner "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in the ring. Piper says he has never heard so many liars in his life, saying that Scott Hall has lied more than Minnesota has lakes and that Scott Hall didn't beat him like he says he did. As for The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall) and their injuries, they will defend the WCW World Tag Team Championships, and if they don't, they will be stripped of the titles even if they are injured. Also, "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Diamond Dallas Page will have a "Piper Rules" Match at Halloween Havoc, where they no rules at all and the last man standing is the winner. Eric Bischoff and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan show up, and Okerlund immediately gets out of dodge as Bischoff says Hogan has something to say. Hogan tells Piper that the icon crap stops here, and asks him who he thinks he is barking orders because J.J. Dillon is hurt and what makes him think he can lay the law around here. Hogan tells Piper he is incapable of being an icon simply because he still exists, and while their careers did parallel for the last 15 years, Piper spent those years in his shadow. Hogan says the fans are here and the nWo is wide open because of him, and at Halloween Havoc, he will prove to Piper's wife and kids that he's the only icon as he ends his career and makes his come home for good, and if he wants to kick his ass, he'll do it right here. Hogan pushes Piper, Piper shoves Hogan, and Bischoff kicks Piper in the back of the knee before Hogan pulls Piper's shrt over his head, punches him and repeatedly rams the back of his head into the mat. When Bischoff goes for the roundhouse kick to Piper's head, however, Piper ducks and Bischoff kicks Hogan instead. Piper gets on top of Bischoff, then gets on top of Hogan before The New World Order shows up and pulls Hogan out of the ring. Piper grabs the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and swings it around, keeping the nWo at bay.

We are presented with another performance by The Nitro Girls as it is announced that if Steve "Mongo" McMichaels beats Jeff Jarrett at Halloween Havoc, Debra McMichael must leave World Championship Wrestling.

Mike Tenay reports on the history of lucha libre and the Mexican luchadors, from its beginnings made possible by Don Salvador Lutteroth (which has brought wrestling to Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico which is still performed there to this day), the lucha libre boom of the 1940s and the introduction of masked luchadors, the advent of lucha libre on television in the 1950s, the era of the second generation wrestler in the 1980s, and When Worlds Collide! in 1994 which saw WCW partner with EMLL, Promo Azteca, AAA and UWA. The difference between rudos and technicos (rule breakers and/or wrestlers with unorthodox styles and wrestlers with technical and/or traditional mat skills, respectively) is also defined in this report. Next week's report will focus on the importance and sacred status of the mask in lucha libre.

Eddie Guerrero retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Ultimo Dragon.

Curt Hennig retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit. Vincent, Buff Bagwell and Konnan show up and attack Benoit after the match, then "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair makes a surprise appearance and fights all of them off before chasing Curt Hennig to the back and into the street at high speed, but Hennig is long gone by the time Flair is out of the arena. Flair heads back to the entrance ramp and is interviewed by "Mean" Gene Okerlund, and he grabs the microphone and tells Okerlund - and the fans - that he is taking this to the center of the ring as it's time to talk reality. He says that everybody in their adult lifetime should have a moment like this, and he calls out The Wolfpack (Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Syxx) and "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan, telling them that this reality before saying that he has been put through hell and is still here tonight, much to their dismay. He says that he is Minneapolis, Minnesota born and bred, and that he will die Minneapolis dead. He tells Hennig and Hogan that since they have become the focus of his life, he tells them it's not about politics as they've wanted him out for ten years and that it's not about being the best as there has never been one better than him.
