Raw Deal - Raw recap for August 17, 2026

Stephanie Vaquer heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Vaquer says she is here tonight for only one reason: the Women's World Championship. She does not want to talk, and wrestling is her first language. Vaquer calls out Liv Morgan, and Liv shows up with Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. Liv says Vaquer may not feel like talking a lot tonight, but she has a lot on her night. She mentions Becky Lynch mentioning her reign negating all the hard work she put in the Women's World Championship, then says that she does not care. Liv says she does not care about those before her and those coming after her, as she is not a champion for them, and she certainly does not care for any of the fans. Liv also talks about how she put Stephanie Vaquer on the shelf for three month and states that all that matters is that she is champion, and as long as she is, Vaquer and Becky never will be. She says that the woman that Becky and Vaquer berated on a regular basis is now the greatest Women's World Champion of all time. Vaquer then dares Liv to get in the ring, and Liv tells Vaquer she will regret this when Roxanne and Raquel join her in a three-on-one attack. Vaquer soon fights back, but the numbers game takes back over. All of a sudden, Becky Lynch shows up and fights the threesome, bumping into Vaquer as she does. Vaquer and Becky confront each other again, and the confrontation soon gets physical. Liv pulls Becky out of the ring and sends her into a ring post, but Vaquer takes Liv down from the ring apron only to eat a big boot from Raquel. Liv, Roxanne and Raquel soon get the better of Vaquer.

Backstage, The Usos (Jimmy and "Main Event" Jey Uso) are excited to bring Solo Sikoa back home to The Bloodline (Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Jacob Fatu), and Solo Sikoa is with them. The three of them then run into LA Knight, and Jey Uso tells Solo and Knight that they both know the play as Jimmy laughs as Knight. Solo is then brought into The Bloodline's locker room.

Je'Von Evans beats JD McDonagh. After the match, Big Cass appears and attacks Je'Von Evans for a third time, then bear hugs him and hits him with the East River Crossing. Je'Von then grabs a microphone and ask Big Cass if that is all he has got, and Big Cass makes up his mind to return to the ring. Je'Von clocks Cass with a right hand, then hits him with a tope suicida despite a tweaked left ankle. "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio suddenly grabs Je'Von and sends him into the ring post, and that allows Big Cass to launch Je'Von into the barricade before hitting him with a big boot back in the ring.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley interviews The Vision (Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, Austin Theory, Maxxine Dupri). Logan Paul states that last week was all about showing that they run this place, and that anybody that wants to step up will get put down. Maxxine Dupri laughs about Austin Theory smashing Otis' head into the ring post and squashing Tozawa over and over again. Theory says Oba Femi took a cheap shot on him last week, and that this will not go unnoticed. He also notes that he and Bron Breakker are the World Tag Team Champions and he has Maxxine on his arm. Breakker states that anything he has to say to Oba Femi will be said right to his face. Breakker heads to the ring and calls Oba Femi out, telling him he will have to take the future of WWE from him if he wants to be it. Paul Heyman suddenly shows up and says he was once an advocate and still an oracle and wiseman. Heyman says he knows what is wise and not wise to do, and notes that the question going around is "Who is the future of WWE?" Breakker demands that Heyman tell him who he thinks is the future of WWE. Suddenly, the lights go out, and Oba Femi makes his way to the ring. Oba says that Breakker is asking stupid questions and that he already knows who the future is, as does he, the fans and Brock Lesnar. Oba states that "the future is Oba Femi," and if Breakker has a problem with the answer, he can take it up with him any day, any time. Breakker proposes right here and right now, and Heyman says that if Breakker takes one more step towards Oba, he takes a permanent step away from him. Heyman says that WWE is a publicly traded company and the biggest wrestling company on the face of the planet, and that they answer to shareholders. Heyman admits that this will not a popular thing to say, especially in Buffalo, New York, and says that while two people in the ring understand, one is learning. Heyman says that the future does not propose an impromptu match and that the match must be prepared and marketed, and that he has already set this up for Sunday Night's Main Event in Breakker's hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Breakker and Oba Femi will square off then to see who is really the future of WWE. Breakker shakes hands with Heyman, and Oba Femi does the same. Breakker takes exception to this as Heyman says "That's good business!"

The Usos bring Solo Sikoa to the ring, and Reigns says that regardless of what the fans think, the sight of Solo pisses him off. Reigns says that he is a blessed man and has everything one can ever imagine, but some say he is petty and cannot understand how he can hold a receipt for so long. Reigns recalls his and Solo's Tribal Combat match, which is revisited in video package form and interspersed with recent footage of Solo Sikoa being cheeky towards The Usos and Roman Reigns, leading to a "Solo" chant. Reigns then says the fans may think it is funny, then asks why Solo thinks this is funny before noticing his jewelry and stepping on his sunglasses after nudging them off. Reigns asks Solo why he is looking at him and not on his knees begging. Solo is suddenly superkicked by Jacob Fatu, who then locks in the Tongan Death Grip. Reigns calls Jacob off, then tells Solo to wait on the mat while he has other business. Reigns praises The Usos and calls them his captains, and declares that if anyone disrespects them, they disrespect Reigns. Jimmy and Jey are both awarded black ula falas, then Reigns and The Usos focus on Solo again before LA Knight shows up. Knight sends The Usos out of the ring, then confronts Reigns. Jacob Fatu attacks Knight from behind, but Reigns stops him before he can lock in the Tongan Death Grip so he can hit Knight with a Superman Punch. As Reigns is about to go for the ground and pound on Knight, Reigns decides to force Solo to lay Knight out, saying that his father is watching and that he is here to serve his family now. Solo apologizes to Knight, then goes for the Samoan Spike only to hit Reigns with it. The Usos are enraged by Solo's behavior, then points his finger at The Usos like a gun. Solo and LA Knight take The Usos out, and LA Knight comes face-to-face with Jacob Fatu.
