Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Persephone, who says that some women confuse luck with success. She says that Maya World has a golden ticket, but she will take that golden ticket, take the TBS Championship and make Maya's world stop spinning.

"Blackheart" Lio Rush and The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed, Zachary Wentz) beat The Opps (Hook, Action Andretti, Anthony Bowens, "The Wrestler" Katsuyori Shibata) in an eight-man tag match on the Buy-In.

We hear from The Dogs (Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors, David Finlay). Gabe Kidd says that the other teams scurry around like rats and that the numbers are "too dyslexic" for them. They are soon joined by The Demand, and Ricochet says that Gabe Kidd is stating nothing but facts while The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) are nothing but a couple of killers who smell blood. Ricochet, Clark Connors and David Finlay says the other teams will not get the big Wembley Stadium moment and that the winner of their match will be a real trio.

Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander beat Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue) on the Buy-In.

It is announced that Grand Slam France will happen on Tuesday, October 6th at Adidas Arena in Paris, France.

Boom and Doom (Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall) and The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) beat Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, "The Captain" Shawn Dean, "Bad News and Tattoos" Carlie Bravo, "Taiga Style" Lee Moriarty) in an eight-man tag match. After the match, The Hurt Syndicate receive a giant check worth $50,000 with a picture of The Rizzler on it.

"The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson guests on commentary for the next match.

Persephone beats Maya World to become the TBS Champion on the Buy-In after a person in a black hoodie and a luchador mask shoves Maya World off the top rope as Persephone distracts the referee. Persephone wins the match and the title with a crucifix bomb into a stack-up pin. After the match, the mystery person gets in the ring and puts Maya World in the Lockjaw, then reveals themselves to be Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., who has not been seen on AEW programming in almost two years.

"The Toxic Spider" Thekla shows up during the preshow with a margarita. She says she will be watching tonight's show very closely, and warns Willow Nightingale that she will not forget her taking the AEW Women's World Championship from her. Thekla says that no matter what happens, "shit will get toxic."

Backstage, Lexy Nair interviews Persephone, who says that "The It Girl" is not that "it" anymore. She says a certain doctor told her to work smarter, not harder, then Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. shows up and says that she knows who is threatened by her return and that she has perspective on who is worth her time after some time away, then says Persephone is worth her time due to her potential. Persephone says that if Thunder Rosa wants to get in her business, she has someone new in her corner.

Swerve Strickland and The New Level ("Awesome" Austin Creed and Kofi) beat The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, Roderick Strong), The Bang Bang Gang ("Switchblade" Jay White, Austin Gunn, Colten Gunn) "Hangman" Adam Page and Brodido (Brody King and Bandido), The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona), The Dogs (Gabe Kidd, Clark Connors, David Finlay) and The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC) in a Trios Royale Roulette that starts on the Buy-In and extends into the main card to become the AEW World Trios Champions! Swerve Strickland and The New Level (formerly Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston of The New Day in WWE) are the wild card team for this match. With this match, Kofi and Creed become champions on their debut night in AEW. During the match, Kofi escapes elimination by staying on his back on the outside and being helped to the ring steps by Prince Nana.

The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) beat The Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) to become the AEW Women's World Tag Team Champions!

Jon Moxley wins the AEW Continental Challenge Cup and retains the AEW Continental Championship against Nigel McGuinness by submission when Nigel comes within centimeters of the ropes and cannot reach them as Moxley wrenches at Nigel's hurt left foot. After the match, Moxley leaves through the crowd with The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, PAC, Daniel Garcia, "The Problem" Marina Shafir), and Nigel McGuinness is given a standing ovation.

Don Callis guests on commentary for the next match.

"The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada beats "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher and "The Alpha" Konosuke Takeshita to become the AEW International Champion after Fletcher hits Takeshita with an avalance brainbuster into the top turnbuckle only for Okada to rush into the ring seconds later, hit Fletcher with the Rainmaker, then pin Fletcher as both men are down to win the match and the title. After the match, Fletcher angrily takes the International Champion, and after Don Callis reasons with Fletcher, Fletcher hands the title to Okada. Okada then demands Fletcher raise his hand, and after Callis speaks to Fletcher again, Fletcher raises Okada's hand along with Callis.

Andrade El Idolo beats "The Prodigy" Nick Wayne, MJF, "Speedball" Mike Bailey, Tommaso Ciampa, Chris Jericho, Mark Davis, Komander, Mistico, Daniel Garcia and "Jungle" Jack Perry in a Men's Casino Gauntlet Match to earn a guaranteed shot at the AEW World Championship. During the match, Tommaso Ciampa shows up at #5, but before he can make it to the ring, Jericho comes out at #6 and clobbers Ciampa when Ciampa charges at him, then does it again when Ciampa gets in the ring with him. Komander enters at #8 and is immediately misnamed as Mistico by ring announcer Justin Roberts, who corrects himself after Komander dives into everyone on the outside from the top rope. When Mistico enters at #9, Justin Roberts says "You guessed it...it's Mistico!" Mistico is then attacked by #10 Daniel Garcia, who is joined in the brief proceedings by "The Problem" Marina Shafir.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage retain the AEW World Tag Team Championships against The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) after Christian Cage hides a small wrench in the brace on his left arm and using the AEW World Tag Team Championship belt as a means of distracting the referee to knock out The Young Bucks and get the win. After the match, The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) show up for the first time since their debut and congratulate Copeland and Christian in the ring, then FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) and Stokely Hathaway suddenly return and confront Copeland and Christian. They are all soon joined by The New Level (Kofi and "Awesome" Austin Creed), who also show up and head to the ring. Copeland and Christian leave the ring, leaving the four other teams - including The Young Bucks - in the ring.

A half-dozen street dancers perform on the stage during "The Jet" Kevin Knight's entrance before the next match.

Darby Allin beats "The Jet" Kevin Knight in a Falls Count Anywhere Match to win the TNT Championship for the third time! During the match, "The Machine" Brian Cage and Jake Doyle show up and tape Darby's hands behind his back, then Steven Borden shows up and fends them off. Sting shows up with a baseball bat and takes out Cage and Doyle, who soon get taken out with a dive off a ladder to the outside by Steven Borden. Darby and Knight fight their way to the stage, and after Darby hits a Coffin Drop through the stage off the top of a stage tress, Darby finds Knight again as Knight is being stretchered out, and Darby hits Knight with a Coffin Drop off the entrance ramp for the win and the TNT Championship.

Ballet dancers clad in black perform on the stage before Mercedes Moné's entrance. For Willow Nightingale's entrance, we see a story of Willow's path to the AEW World Women's Championship in storybook form and tonight's match with Mercedes Moné as read by a young girl.

Nigel McGuinness joins commentary for the next two matches.

Mercedes Moné beats Willow Nightingale by submission with the Statement Maker after wrapping Willow's arm around her own neck to become the AEW Women's World Champion despite being busted open at the bridge of her nose early in the match and after attacking Willow's left hand, which Mercedes injured on last night's Collision, during the match. After the match, it is announced that Mercedes Moné will have a championship celebration on next week's Dynamite.

Before the next match, we see a video package of Will Ospreay with an introduction from Ospreay's own mum as "Baba O'Riley" by The Who plays in the background. Michael Oku, Zack Sabre Jr., Ricochet, Swerve Strickland and even Ospreay's own teammates in United Empire see Ospreay off as he heads to the ring. In the entrance tunnel, Ospreay is met by "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis and Alex Windsor. Jon Moxley is the last person that Will Ospreay meets before he finally gets on stage. We then see a video package of Kenny Omega's career leading up to this match, narrated in Japanese by Kenta Miyake, the Japanese voice actor for All Might in My Hero Academia. All Might's theme from the anime also plays briefly during Kenny Omega's entrance. As Kenny Omega heds to the ring, The Young Bucks are several steps behind him before catching up. Brandon Cutler records the moment from behind Omega, and Michael Nakazawa is also part of Omega's entourage for this match.

Will Ospreay beats Kenny Omega to become the AEW World Champion! During the match, all seconds have to be separated briefly by multiple referees after Callum Newman confronts Kenny Omega for hitting Will Ospreay with a monitor from the announce desk following Ospreay shoving the timekeeper's table at Ospreay and Ospreay shoving referee Paul Turner away from as he attacks Omega at the announce table.
