Super Saturday - Memphis Wrestling recap for August 29, 2026

Dustin Starr interviews Mike Anthony at the announce desk. Anthony says he has not been able to address the fans as champion due a belly-to-belly suplex on the concrete floor putting him on the injured reserve list. He says that despite both he and Tim Bosby both having their stipulations, it is still "The Mike Anthony Era," and he needs any and every, for he is still hungry and his stomach is not full yet.

We hear from Buff Bagwell, who says that he will be at the WrestleCenter having Big John Dalton on September 13th.

Mike Anthony retains the Memphis Wrestling Heritage Championship against "The Gold Standard" Eli Knox.

We see footage of The Whites (Kevin and Gavin White) defending the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships against The Bizness Dawgs (Tim Grind and Lil' Homie) and The Slaughterhouse (Reverend Ash Taylor, Jagged James, Nasty Nick) in a Tupelo Tornado Tag Team Match at Tupelo Supershow. Before the beginning of the match, Lil' Homie is conspicuous by his absence, and Tim Grind tells Dustin Starr he cannot find him. When The Slaughterhouse shows up, Reverend Ash Taylor is wearing Lil' Homie's jersey. The Slaughterhouse win the Memphis Wrestling Tag Team Championships after hitting Kevin White with the bone.

We see footage from after Tupelo Supershow, where Reverend Ash Taylor says that The Slaughterhouse (Jagged James and Nasty Nick) have put down The Whites and The Bizness Dawgs for the tag team titles and that The Slaughterhouse want everyone else to try to take the titles from them.

We see footage of Xya vs. Raven Black for the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship from Tupelo Supershow. Xya wins by disqualification after Raven Black punches referee Arthur Logan in the face despite Xya's protests, and Raven Black retainst he Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship. After the match, Xya hits Raven Black with a superkick, then raises up the Memphis Wrestling Women's Championship.

We see footage from the Rumble on the Trail from Tupelo Supershow. Marko "Hangtime" Harris last eliminates Tim Bosby to win the Memphis Wrestling St. Jude Heroes Championship.

Backstage, VaShawn Harvey makes it clear he does not like the kids and that he especially does not like Heath Slater, Coach Pillar and Big John Dalton. He hopes that all three men are listening, as they are about to find who is next in Memphis Wrestling.

Coach Pillar watches the next match from the announce desk while Big John Dalton guests on commentary. Coach Pillar and Big John Dalton switch roles after the commercial break.
