Those Dynamite Kids - Dynamite recap for August 26, 2026

Will Ospreay heads to the ring to start tonight's show. Ospreay says that a year has gone by since he got surgery and doubt set in on whether or not he could get back and win the big one, as well as his start in the United Kingdom and Scotland where he wrestled weekends and went to work the rest of the week just to get to this point. He says that he loved being in the foxhole with the same people who followed the same dream and learning from the legend of British legends, as well as paying tributes to the ones who are not here anymore. Ospreay says that he did it all to see if he really is the best, and when one talks about the best, it is hard to see past Kenny Omega, and while he knows Omega is not here tonight, nobody respects Omega more than he does. Ospreay says that while there is no better wrestler this decade than Kenny Omega, respect went out the window the moment Omega mentioned his son needing a new hero after he loses to him, as he has some promises to keep for family and friends. He says that Omega will "get the billy goat for sure" as well as the fight of his life, and warns him not to "fuck with a man looking after a boy." Ospreay says there is a debt that needs to be paid, and that "it is time to bring it home." He says Omega will show his boy that heroes are just ordinary people who can do extraordinary things, and that this Sunday, he will take it all.

Jon Moxley beats Claudio Castagnoli to advance to the finals of the AEW Continental Challenge Cup.

Adam Copeland and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) beat The Don Callis Family (Rocky "Azucar" Romero, "The Machine" Brian Cage, Jake Doyle) in a trios match despite Copeland nearly getting inadvertently Superkicked by The Young Bucks during the match. After the match, Christian Cage shows up and says he does not associate with people who are beneath him, and that as far as tag teams go, The Young Bucks are beneath him despite how influential they have become. Christian says that he and Copeland are the kind of legends that matches and pay-per-views are named after, and that The Young Bucks will learn the difference between "influence" and "legendary." Nick Jackson asks Christian if anyone has ever named a wrestling company after him, then addresses accidentally Superkicking Christian in the face and how it will stop being an accident if Christian keeps up. This leads to a confrontation in which Nick gets kicked in the groin by Christian and Matt Jackson gets Speared by Copeland.

Willow Nightingale's entrance theme hits, then it is revealed that Willow has been attacked backstage by Mercedes Moné, who says that tonight is Willow's last Dynamite as Women's World Champion.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Don Callis and Mark Davis. Callis says he is back from Croatia and feeling refreshed, and that whoever wins between Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship will have a surprise. He says that Mark Davis has drawn a number, and if Davis' number is called, he will settle the score with Andrade el Idolo and get closer to the AEW World Championship "with a little London luck."

Andrade El Idolo's music hits at first, then stops. MJF's entrance theme then plays, and MJF makes his way to the ramp. MJF says it great to be here in "beautiful sunny Ireland," then realized he is in Scotland before calling everybody alcoholics, which actually gets cheered. MJF then says he has paid some people off to "warm Andrade el Idolo up" and that while Andrade is not here, he is. He says that what Andrade does is not special and that he can do the same thing, even though finding a hot chick in Scotland is impossible. He finds a hot chick in the crowd, then Andrade appears MJF and says "How you know?" Andrade then clobbers MJF with the microphone when MJF turns around, and that leads to a brief brawl in the ring that MJF barely escapes from.

Backstage, we hear from Chris Jericho, who says that this is the biggest weekend in AEW with the highest of stakes, and while he knows how important his biggest matches have been, he knows how important All In is, and that he is entering the Men's Casino Gauntlet. Jericho then says that he will be part of a six-man tag match later tonight.

Nigel McGuinness beats Kyle O'Reilly by submission with London Dungeon to advance to the finals of the AEW Continental Challenge Cup.

Backstage, Renee Paquette interviews Don Callis and "The Protostar" Kyle Fletcher. Callis says there is always competition among alpha athletes, but at the end of the day, he expects the family to run the play. Fletcher says that he trusts Don Callis with all of his heart and that he is willing to run the play at All In, but wants to know if "The Rainmaker" Kazuchika Okada will do the same. Okada shows up and says family is the most important thing and that Fletcher can trust him, but Fletcher asks what he should trust Okada to do when Okada was nowhere to be seen when he was attacked last week. Okada says Fletcher thinks only of himself, and reiterates the importance of family.

Persephone and The Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) beat Maya World and The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) in a trios match after Persephone hits Maya World with a top rope splash while The Divine Dominion and The Brawling Birds brawl their way to the back.

Swerve Strickland beats "Jungle" Jack Perry after blocking a casadora and pulling Jack Perry up by the hair for Big Pressure.

We see Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay preparing for their match at All In.
