Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for June 28, 1999

A black limousine parks outside of the arena, and WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and his son David Flair show up, along with the owner of the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, where tonight's episode takes place. Tonight, Ric tells David that the United Center was built for him, and that he wants David to win the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and become the most powerful athlete in sports today. The owner tells David that he and Ric have been looking forward to this moment since David was a boy, and when he becomes champion, he will have a statue of him in front of the arena that is ten times bigger than the statue of Michael Jordan that is already there. Ric says that everyone will want to "be like Dave," not like Mike.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

"The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn beat "Lord" Steven Regal and Fit Finley despite Regal hitting Saturn with the Union Jack when the referee is not looking.

As WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and WCW Vice President "Rowdy" Roddy Piper are talking about David Flair's World title match tonight when Van Hammer shows up and asks for a title shot. Piper puts him in a match against Rick Steiner for the WCW World Television Championship at Bash at the Beach.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, WCW Vice President "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Charles Robinson and Asya also accompany them. Flair says that Chicago, Illinois should be thankful that a champion like him has decided to blow through this town, and brings out Piper last, as he and Piper have a big reality check happening tonight. Piper shows up, and says it is reality check. The first one goes to radio shock jock Howard Stern for daring to diss him and saying he wants to get in the ring with him, saying that if he messes with him, he will mess him up so much that it will make Keith Richards look like Fabio. He complains about the younger wrestlers in the locker room whining for opportunities, and announces that in a tough town like Chicago, Illinois, they will have a tough fight by putting a young up-and-comer against Kevin Nash in a Lumberjack Match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Flair says the political structure will not along him to ever be champion again, but tonight, his own son, David Flair, will walk the aisle looking as only he can look and take down Kevin Nash. He says that Charles Robinson will be the referee and that the WCW World Heavyweight Championship will be on the line, then addresses "Macho Man" Randy Savage, saying he would like to apologize, shake his hand and make him a deal tonight. Savage shows up with Gorgeous George, Madusa, Miss Madness and Sid Vicious. Flair tells Savage that the wrestling business is making history tonight, and despite the history between them, they have to bond one time as they both hate Nash and David Flair is going to wrestle him for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He asks Savage and Sid to join up with him, Piper and Anderson tonight, and if Savage leaps over to his side, he will re-legalize the elbow drop. Robinson tells Flair that he has a scar on him and had to wear a chest tube for two weeks because of the elbow drop, and Piper has to calm Robinson down. Savage says he is a player, and for him, the ends justify the means. He does not care if he, Sid, David Flair or even Sting is WCW World Heavyweight Championship as long as the title is not on Kevin Nash. Savage asks for Sid's input, and Sid simply announces "Let the madness run free!" Flair and Savage have a deal, and Flair says that soon, everyone will say they want to "be like Dave." Savage says tonight will be Kevin Nash's worst nightmare ever. Piper says tonight, we will have a fight, for even though the young kids can swing from vine to vine, he and Flair own the jungle.

We see Lenny Lane applying blue fingernail polish to his fingernails as Lodi - whose fingernails are already blue - watches. Lenny Lane is worried about what World Championship Wrestling will think when "they find out about [them]." Lodi tells Lenny to relax, as it is not like they are the only ones in the company. Lenny knows WCW is a little open-minded, but Lodi tells him "You got me...and I got you, babe."

Tony Schiavone plus the WCW Hotline.

Eddie Guerrero beats Lodi. During the match, Eddie throws Lodi into referee Scott Dickinson, and Lenny Lane gets involved in the match. Eddie manages to fend both men off as Dickinson recovers, and Lenny gets back in the ring and gets on top of Lodi to protect him. Eddie frog splashes both men simultaneously to get the win.

WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and WCW Vice President "Rowdy" Roddy Piper go over all their plans for tonight's main event. Piper proposes bringing three strong men in: Bam Bam Bigelow, Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon. Flair loves the idea, and says that David Flair will be winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tonight.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Before the next match, Hak asks the crowd if they want to see him get hardcore and extreme, and says there is a nut who doesn't like his kind of matches, and calls out WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, telling him to walk down that aisle and to be the man, he will have to beat this man. All of a sudden, Bam Bam Bigelow shows up, and Hak dares him to get in the ring. Bigelow gets in and attacks Hak from behind, starting a match.

Bam Bam Bigelow beats Hak. During the match, Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon show up. Hak fends DDP and Kanyon off with a Kendo stick, but Kanyon distracts referee Scott Dickinson from the apron so that DDP can hit Hak with a Diamond Cutter.

Kevin Nash shows up. He says that he has been an outsider in WCW since day one, and he knows that WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and everyone else in WCW wants to see him lose the WCW World Heavyweight Championship tonight. He knows that the only ally he has, Scott Hall, is sitting at home in Orlando, Florida right now, and without him, he is here on his own facing David Flair in a Lumberjack Match with everyone who wants to see him lose the World title. Since he is putting the gold up tonight, he has a stipulation for David: if David wins, he gets the gold. If Nash wins, he gets Torrie Wilson for 72 hours. He then says a lot of guys have had stipulations where they get the girl for much longer, but he says Torrie will be ruing the 72 hours. He says that if the World title is enough to make him fight for his life tonight, that little incentive should bring it over the top. He dares everybody to bring it on, and guarantees that he will be leaving World champion tonight.

Curt Hennig, Barry Windham, Kendall Windham and Bobby Duncum Jr. beat Stevie Ray, Horace Hogan, Vincent and Brian Adams.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller and Disco Inferno show up for their dance contest. The Cat takes the microphone from referee Nick Patrick and says that if the crowd does not vote for him, he will go to his car, get his karate gi and "whup every redneck in here" just like he did Jerry Flynn. The Cat then puts his red shoes on and does his usual dance, and does not get much of a crowd reaction. Disco Inferno is up, and he gets a much better response from the crowd. The Cat then attacks Disco Inferno as he has the contest won, and this starts a match between the two men.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller beats Disco Inferno by disqualification. During the match, Disco Inferno hits the Chartbuster only for Sonny Onoo to get in the match to break the pin only to accidentally kick The Cat. The Cat then puts on one of his red shoes and superkicks Disco as Onoo distracts referee Nick Patrick from the apron, but as he has the match won, Jerry Flynn - who has not been seen in months - shows up and kicks Miller in the head, knocking him out of the ring and ending the match. After the match, Flynn tells Onoo to tell The Cat when he wakes up that next week, he and The Cat will see who the better kickboxer is in a Kickboxing Match. All Miller has to do is sign the contract.

Before the next match, WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson are at the commentary table. Flair says he will make sure there are no mistakes during the World title match, while "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson reminds Nash of the parody he did of him after he was forced to retire, and says he will respond to it and that his response will be ringing in Nash's ears.

Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Dean Malenko and Buff Bagwell. During the match, DDP pushes Malenko into referee Scott Dickinson in a pinfall attempt. Buff hits the Buff Blockbuster on DDP, but Malenko goes for the Texas Cloverleaf on Kanyon only to fall victim to a double-team Diamond Cutter. Referee Scott Dickinson comes to and counts the pinfall.

The music video for "Rap Is Crap" by Curt Hennig, Barry Windham, Kendall Windham and Bobby Duncum Jr. makes its world premiere to kick off the "Rap Is Crap Tour '99."

Sid Vicious beats Scott Putski. At the beginning of the match, "Macho Man" Randy Savage grabs a commentary headset and tells Tony Schiavone and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan that Sid is the best big man in wrestling today, and to get on the bandwagon before it is too late. After the match, Savage repeats those claims, and says it will be official in a little when Kevin Nash loses the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Sid tells Nash that the carnage he sees and the madness that is about to happen will soon happen to him. Savage then hits Scott Putski with a top rope elbow drop. Savage says that is the way it is, and if anybody likes it, they had better stay out of their way for they are "the bomb."

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

David Flair vs. Kevin Nash for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in a Lumberjack Match almost ends as soon as it begins when David Flair runs out of the ring and all of the lumberjacks attacks Nash. Savage wraps a chain around his hand and punches Nash in the face. (It should be noted that even though Charles Robinson is supposed to be the ref, it is "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson who ends up donning the stripes.) David Flair goes for a Figure Four Leg Lock and Anderson goes for a super-slow count as Kevin Nash lays down on the mat during the hold, but Nash still kicks out and manages to fight back. Anderson attacks Nash, but he gets punched, and the lumberjacks go after Nash again. David Flair is given a taser by WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, but Nash manages to take it away from him and shocks a couple of people before taking Gorgeous George hostage and shocking "Macho Man" Randy Savage with the taser as he starts walking backwards. Torrie Wilson is seen smiling and walking out with Kevin Nash as he heads to the back with Gorgeous George. We then see Torrie Wilson and Gorgeous George get into a black limousine, and it is revealed that Sting is the one driving the black Hummer when we see his face in the rear view mirror. Nash, upon discovering this, quickly gets into the limo as Savage and Sid Vicious go after Nash.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 28, 1999

RAW

The Corporate Ministry arrives to start tonight's show. Glitter and balloons are seen dropping down from the ceiling of the arena. WWF co-owner Vince McMahon says tonight is a night of celebration, as The Corporate Ministry celebrates the good times and the McMahon celebrate the removal and total dejection of "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. He guarantees that nobody will ever forget tonight he and WWF co-owner Shane McMahon kicked Austin's ass, and now they have total control of the World Wrestling Federation. As such, Shane has an official announcement: Austin is fired as CEO of the World Wrestling Federation. Vince then announces that Austin will go all the way back to the bottom of the ladder where he started, but tells the fans not to despair as Austin is here tonight and will compete in the ring in a preliminary match-up before he disassembles the ring after the show. Vince then says that he and The Ministry are also celebrating The Undertaker's sheer, utter supremacy, as The Rock smelled what he was cooking and it curled his upper lift. He also announces that they are celebrating the total harmony of The Corporate Ministry, saying that there are no cracks in the Corporate Ministry before inviting The Undertaker to defend the WWF Championship at Fully Loaded against fellow Corporate Ministry member Triple H. He says they will celebrate like no other night, and that this is a night that everyone will remember forever. Suddenly, The Big Boss Man shows up - to his old theme music - but Vince tells The Corporate Ministry to stay back as he tells them he has got this. He asks if The Big Boss Man is man enough to take on him and Shane. Boss Man gets in the ring, takes the microphone from Vince, and says "I love you guys." Shane and The Corporate Ministry take Boss Man back, then Shane tells Austin that McMahon 6:32 states "Payback's a bitch." Suddenly, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin shows up. He says there is not much use in talking about last night's match, as the pictures at the beginning show what happened. He says it was a bunch of B.S., but knowing Vince and Shane like he does and knowing that he might get screwed, he has taken out "an insurance policy." Last night, before the main event, he wrote himself a new contract where he has given himself a big pay raise, changed the clause stating that he can only attack Vince when provoked so that it states he can hit him any time he wants and that Vince cannot do anything about it, and if Vince does not come to work, he can come to his house and punch him right in the mouth, and Vince cannot do anything about it, either. He also states that while CEO, he stated that there would be a certain time and place where he would become WWF Champion again, and picked here on Raw tonight to be the time and place for his WWF Championship match. He then asks the crowd to give him a "hell yeah" if they want to see him face The Undertaker for the WWF Championship. He also announces that if anyone in The Corporate Ministry gets with in ten feet of the ring, The Undertaker will be disqualified and he will become the WWF Champion.

Before the next match, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock says WWF co-owner Vince McMahon must think he is cute setting things up tonight, and states that Vince set someone up to attack him last night. He makes it very clear to Vince that he can keep sending men out and he will go after him. He then calls out "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman and tells him to bring all his weapons, as the only two he needs are his fists.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock vs. "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman in a Weapons Match ends when Blackman incapacitates Shamrock yet again and walks to the back.

Backstage, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock is seen bleeding internally and snapping on an official. We then see footage from during the commercial break where "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman leaves the arena.

Michael Cole interviews "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn. He says it's "Bad Ass" and not "B.A." because "bad ass" is what he is. He then announces that last week, he became half of the tag team champions because The Acolytes did not have the balls to step up to the challenge and he never backs down. He then beat three men who were at the top of their game to become the 1999 King of the Ring. He says tht he is no longer carrying other men on his back, and that it is now all about him. After being told that Bradshaw is coming to the ring to take back his half of the tag team titles, Gunn says that is not happening as there is an open invitation to anyone who wants to come into his yard. Suddenly, Triple H and Chyna show up, and Triple H tells Billy Gunn they have no beef with other and that this is strictly business. Triple H says that this is about his financial future, and asks him if he has gotten his royalty check lately, as he and Chyna have and they both seem to be lower than they should be as of late. When he asked about it, he found out that "Road Dogg" Jesse James and X-Pac are claiming all rights and privileges to D-Generation X, which means that Road Dogg and X-Pac are getting all all the DX royalties. He says that he, Chyna and Gunn were DX, and carried them around only to have them profit from it. He has talked to WWF co-owner Vince McMahon, and if they want it, they will have to take it. He is busy gunning for the WWF Championship right now, but he is loaning him Chyna's services so that they go after what is rightfully theirs. He says DX is rightfully theirs and they don't want anything else but the money, and asks Gunn and Chyna to grab all the cash and bring it home. Gunn says he's got it. He then tells the production crew in the back to play the D-Generation X theme, then The Rock shows up and fights off both Triple H and Billy Gunn until referees and officials run in for the pull-apart.

We see footage from earlier tonight where Michael Cole interviews Chaz, the man formerly known as Mosh as well as Harry "Beaver" Cleavage, about him breaking character last week. Standing next to him is his girlfriend Marianna, the woman formerly known as June Cleavage. Chaz states that with all due respect to Michael Cole and WWF's creative team, he has been down "gimmick road" before. Through the support of Marianna, he is now striking out on his own as himself. He is Chaz, a kid from New Jersey who just wants to have fun, and that is what he is going to do.

He will get back to him, because he has bigger fish to fry. He then says that Kane does not know who he is, and that he is the big shot. If Kane wants some of him, then he can fight him face to face as he is ready to fight him. Kane immediately accepts the challenge.

Hardcore Holly beats Kane. During the match, Big Show shows up, but instead of going after Hardcore Holly, he choke slams Kane in revenge for what happened last night at King of the Ring as the referee keeps Hardcore Holly in the corner. After the match, Hardcore Holly taunts Kane, and Kane gets back up and choke slams Hardcore Holly four times. Referees have to help Holly out of the ring.

Before the next match, The Rock talks about how he beat The Undertaker not once, but twice last night, and relishes in the fact that The Undertaker woke up this morning with a new tattoo on the back of his 33-pound head stating that The Rock took his hand, turned it sideways and stuck it straight up his candy ass. He also says that Triple H does not have enough hair on his roody-poo candy ass to get in the ring with him so that The Rock can serve him a nice Rock Burger a nice, freshly-squeezed glass of monkey piss to go along with it.

The Rock vs. Triple H ends after "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn shows up and hits The Rock in the head with a club.

It is also announced The Rock has suffered a concussion and that he has been taken to a local hospital. After the match, Albert and Droz tie The Godfather to the ropes, and when The Godfather's hos get in the ring only for one of them to be readied for a tongue piercing, Edge and The Godfather fight Albert and Droz off. Michael Cole says that he will soon interview WWF co-owner Vince McMahon about the turn of events involving "Stone Cold" Steve Austin at the beginning of the show.

Before the next match, Ivory shows up and says that they have a real WWF Women's Champion and not a "Barbie doll lipstick loser." She does not walk it, talk it or take it off, she just does it. The only problem she sees is that there is no competition in the WWF, and wants tonight to be special. She has decided to shake things up by issuing an open challenge to anybody in the audience who has what it takes to become a champion. Suddenly, a woman jumps over the guardrail and security tries to stop her, but Ivory tells security to let her in. (The woman in question is portrayed by professional women's wrestler Malia Hosaka, who is in WWF on a developmental contract.) As soon as she gets in the ring, she changes her mind, and when Ivory attacks her, she strikes back. It is not long before Nicole Bass grabs this woman by the hair and powerbombs her. Before the match, it is announced that WWF will be on the Home Shopping Network after Raw goes off the air. During the match, Austin hits The Undertaker with a Stone Cold Stunner, but Paul Bearer drags referee Earl Hebner out of the ring before making the three-count. Austin manages to hit the Stunner again, but this time Bearer does not drag Hebner out of the ring again and Austin wins the WWF Championship. He says that he is here to stir some gumbo, and that the reality check is getting bigger all the time. He says he is here to deal with "the Y2K kid problem," and says that Buff Bagwell whines about why he is not the main event, and says he is as irritating as Austin Powers' front teeth. He says that he is a vampire and Buff has no wooden stake. He also says that Buff is a liar when he says that he beat Flair, and says he is getting awfully tired of his whining and lying, and if he comes around, he will slap the snot out of him. Until then, he and Flair will be partying in New Orleans, Louisiana. Flair says that either he has a lot of grandchildren in the audience, or they still want to ride Space Mountain tonight. Flair tells Buff that he represents what he detests, as he is a punk walking into the back door with his hand open looking for a free lick. Last week, Piper asked him if he could be President of WCW, and he told him that he has been told that at his age, he could drop dead at any time. Last night, Buff's girlfriend called him room and asked him why they call him "Space Mountain," and told that after he is done with the chicken and the Diet Cokes, he can show her why. He then goes on to boast that he almost died on Buff Bagwell's girlfriend that night, which leads to Buff Bagwell getting into the ring and forearming Flair before being ambushed by Piper. Flair punches Buff Bagwell in the gut, then chops him. Flair tells Bagwell that tonight, he has both him and Piper all by himself if he thinks he can beat him. He then declares that this is a match, and referee Mickey Jay rings the bell.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper beat Buff Bagwell. During the match, Dean Malenko gets into the ring, and referee Mickey Jay allows Malenko to be part of the match, effectively making it a tag team match. Malenko is able to make his way in, but as Mickey Jay is dealing with Buff Bagwell, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson tries to attack Malenko only to fall victim to the Texas Cloverleaf. Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 21, 1999

RAW

Triple H (at this point now going without the "Hunter Hearst Helmsley" moniker) and Chyna show up. Triple H says the time for talking is over, and tells The Undertaker to "get [his] dead ass out here" so they can finish it right now. The Undertaker shows up with Paul Bearer, but WWF co-owner Vince McMahon sends the rest of The Corporate Ministry to the ring to stop everything. Vince says he appreciates unbridled spirit and vision, but tells them to stop fighting as the crowd wants to see the Ministry divided in two. Vince then asks the crowd how many of them would want to see The Undertaker vs. Triple H beat the hell out of each other. Vince says that will not happen tonight or any night, because The Corporate Ministry is, in fact, one, and is the most powerful entity formed in the history of the World Wrestling Federation. He says that there are individuals entering the King of the Ring hoping to be crowned the King. He says that there will be no King, and that there will be a Queen in the form of Chyna. He also says that The Rock can't always get what he wants, which is to be WWF Champion, and says The Undertaker will take him and crush him into oblivion. Vince then addresses WWF CEO "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, and says that while he was at corporate headquarters wreaking havoc, he and WWF co-owner Shane McMahon challenged him to a ladder match in which he would take his title of CEO and he and Shane would take their ownership in the WWF, put it all in a briefcase, and have it awarded to the first person to climb up a ladder and grab it in a "winner takes all Ladder Match." Vince says that he and Shane understand the corporate ladder and the ladder of success, and when all is said and done, Austin will be at the very bottom run where he started, and the hell he has experienced in the past will be nothing compared to what happens after King of the Ring. Vince tells Austin he will bow in defeat at the hands of the McMahons in the ladder match. Suddenly, Austin shows up carrying a briefcase and a ladder, then sets the ladder up on the stage and climbs up it before drinking a beer. Austin says that as the new CEO of the World Wrestling Federation and Vince's boss, he will come out and go on the record to say that he accepts the challenge, and also goes on the record to say that Vince and Shane are the two sorriest bastard employees he ever had. He says that down the road, he will once again be the WWF Champion, but for the immediate future, he is having a blast running the WWF, and the way he sees it, he may make it a full-time decision. He says Vince can rest assured that when he gets Vince and Shane in the ring, he can go up, down and around the ladder, but both of their asses belong to him and that's all he's got to say about that. He then says he was in the office the other day making decisions, and has come up with another stipulation: if any member of The Corporate Ministry interferes in that match, Vince and Shane will be disqualified, Austin will get the victory and Austin will get further control of the WWF. Vince says that won't be happening, and says it will be a no-holds-barred match because he and Shane said so. Suddenly, WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels comes out from the elevator in the ring and says there needs to be a level head around here, and that level head is him. Before he makes a decision that would have a drastic impact on the World Wrestling Federation, he asks his news associates, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco, to give him a cup of coffee, which they do. Shawn then says he can't have people throwing stipulations around, and says there will be a match to decide the final stipulation in the Ladder Match at King of the Ring. It will be "Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. a member of The Corporate Ministry that Vince sees fit. If Austin wins, it will be his stipulation that will be enforced. If the Corporate Ministry member wins the match, then the McMahons' stipulation will be enforced. Vince volunteers The Undertaker to the match, but finds out The Undertaker is booked for another match. Shane picks Triple H, but Triple H also has a match later tonight. Turns out, their matches are against each other, and the WWF Championship is on the line. Vince picks The Big Boss Man. Shawn accepts that choice, but to ensure that nobody interferes, he will be the special guest referee for the match. Austin says that special guest referee or not, he will whip Boss Man's ass, because he said so. After Austin leaves, Shawn then says it has come to his attention that Patterson and Brisco request Vince and Shane's presence in a tag team match tonight, and he has just decided to give that match to them. Vince sics The Corporate Ministry on Patterson and Brisco. Vince, Shane and Viscera are the only people left in the ring when "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock comes out of the crowd and blasts Viscera in the back with a steel chair before threatening to break Vince.

Jeff Jarrett confronts WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels over putting him and Debra in a amtch, as they are not even ready. Shawn says they're having the match, for he is the Commissioner.

WWF co-owners Shane and Vince McMahon are talking with the strategy. Mideon asks if he can wear the spare belt that Shane has in his bag. Shane, flustered by the question, tells him "do whatever you want."

Before the next match, Jeff Jarrett and Debra are forced into the next match by Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. Pat Patterson then announces that this is a Triple Threat Match for the WWF Intercontinental Championship as per WWF Commissioner "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels.

Jeff Jarrett retains the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Test and "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock. During the match, "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman shows up and assaults Shamrock with a Kendo stick as referee Tim White is busy with Test and Jarrett on the outside. After Jarrett tosses Test into the ring post, he pins Shamrock to retain.

"The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock goes off on two members of medical staff, and we see footage from during the break where "The Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman leaves the building.

Before the next match, The Rock tells The Undertaker that if he is going to drag him to the learning tree, he will gladly go there with him, rip a branch off, pluck off every leaf and shove the branch straight up his candyass.

The Rock beats Edge, then The Undertaker runs in and he and The Rock brawl. 'Taker hits The Rock with a Tombstone Piledriver.

WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon talk with Triple H and Chyna. Triple H wants to beat The Undertaker and become WWF Champion, but Vince tells Triple H to think about The Corporate Ministry.

Viscera beats "Sexual Chocolate" Mark Henry in a Gorilla Slam Match after Mark Henry goes to the second turnbuckle and Viscera gorilla press slams him off. Viscera attacks Mark Henry and shoves referee Jimmy Korderas to the mat, and when Viscera goes up top, D'Lo Brown stops Viscera and helps Mark Henry slam Viscera to the mat. Mideon then shows up and hits D'Lo and Henry with the WWF European Championship.

Michael Cole interviews Beaver Cleavage and Mrs. Cleavage. Beaver Cleavage says "I can't do this," take his hat off and leaves. A woman working behind the camera is heard saying "Chaz! We're live, Chaz!" as Cleavage walks away.

It is announced that Meat vs. Beaver Cleavage will not take place due to what happened earlier.

WAR ZONE

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin beats The Big Boss Man with a Stone Cold Stunner, stopping Boss Man from hitting him with his nightstick. During the match, WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon show up with a ladder, but Austin chase them to the back briefly, causing them to drop the ladder. They eventually show back up, take the ladder, and bring it to the commentary table. Shane guests on commentary as Vince climbs the ladder, but Austin eventually pushes the ladder down towards the table and sends Vince tumbling down with it. Vince then gets on commentary and says that Austin will pay on Sunday, and that he wants The Corporate Ministry to witness it. As per pre-match stipulation, no member of The Corporate Ministry can interfere in the Triple Threat Ladder Match between Vince, Shane and Austin at King of the Ring, or else they will be fired on the spot. Austin tells Vince and Shane that they are next as they are leaving.

We see some footage from during the break where The Big Boss Man is attacked by The Corporate Ministry for his failure.

Before the next match, Val Venis says "Prichard...send 'em out. Now." Prince Albert and Droz show up. As we see comments from Prince Albert from earlier tonight, Val Venis attacks Albert, starting their match early. Droz is handcuffed to the ring ropes, and Val Venis hits Albert with the Money Shot before handcuffing Albert to the bottom rope. Venis then gets into Albert's tattooing kit in an attempt to make good on making Albert's body his personal canvas. He puts Albert in an Indian Death lock, then takes a tattoo gun to his keister and tattoos two V's (which look like a W" on it.

Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco get a little sparring practice in backstage.

Before the next match, X-Pac says he will not bitch about being screwed out of the tag team titles, then dares The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) to put the WWF Tag Team Championships on the line. Before they can say anything, Billy Gunn accepts on their behalf, saying "You bet your ass we accept!" As Faarooq and Bradshaw look at Gunn disapprovingly, "Road Dogg" Jesse James says it's just like The Acolytes, always speaking through their ass. This starts the match.

"Bad Ass" Billy Gunn and The Acolytes (Faarooq and Bradshaw) retain the WWF Tag Team Championships against D-Generation X (X-Pac and "Road Dogg" Jesse James) and Kane in a short, chaotic match after Gunn hits X-Pac with the Fameasser. After the match, Gunn leaves with one of the tag titles, much to the irritation of Bradshaw.

GTV shows Al Snow and Head. Al Snow is seen picking his nose and trying to hide it with a newspaper, then eating it. Head calls Snow out on it, which Snow denies before doing it again.

Cortez Kennedy of the Seattle Seahawks is seen in the front row.

Before the next match, Hardcore Holly tells Big Show that he does not like him, and that he thinks Big Show sucks. He says that Big Show comes out to the ring thinking he is big and bad, but he has not had a round in the ring with him. He proposed making their match a Hardcore Match, and while Big Show may put him down, he will not stay down. Their match begins, and it isn't long before the match goes to the outside of the arena, where Big Show sends Hardcore Holly into a concrete wall before shoving a car onto Holly. Big Show beats Harcore Holly.

WWF co-owner Vince McMahon flexes on top of the commentary table before the next match.

Vince and Shane McMahon vs. Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco ends in a no-contest. During the match, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock shows up, belly-to-belly suplexes Shane and scares Vince to the point that Vince runs away. After this, The Mean Street Posse (Rodney and Pete Gas) shows up with a third, similarly-dressed man who goes on the attack with them and puts Patterson's ankle into a steel chair before stomping it at the command of Shane. The same then happens to Brisco, then The Mean Street Posse and Shane celebrate.

The Undertaker retains the WWF Championship against Triple H by disqualification after The Rock hits 'Taker with the Rock Bottom. During the match, Chyna tries to hit The Undertaker with a steel chair, but 'Taker catches it and kicks Chyna in the gut before unsuccessfully trying to hit Triple H with it. After the match, a Brahma Bull symbol descends towards the ring as The Rock hits The People's Elbow, but The Corporate Ministry runs in to assist The Undertaker. The Big Boss Man runs in, but he attacks The Corporate Ministry in revenge for the beating they gave him earlier. Paul Bearer cannot get out of the ring in time, and The Big Boss Man keeps The Corporate Ministry at bay as The Rock handcuffs Paul Bearer to the Brahma Bull symbol. The Rock then grabs a mic and says King of the Ring will be the night of the Brahma bull, and that on Sunday night, he will dip his horns, turn them sideways and stick them straight up The Undertaker's candy ass.

The show starts with a performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage, Madusa, Gorgeous George, Miss Madness and Sid (now known as Sid Vicious) are seen entering the building.

Curt Hennig and Barry Windham beat Vincent and Brian Adams after Windham hits Vincent in the back with Bobby Duncum Jr.'s cowbell as the referee Randy Anderson is dealing with Adams and Duncum.

We see a press conference with Rey Mysterio Jr. Konnan, "Mean" Gene Oklerund, Eric Bischoff and Master P. It is announced that Master P will be getting in the wrestling ring soon, and will be accompanied by his bodyguard Big Swoll. Master P shows up with Big Swoll, and Master P says he is glad to be in WCW, and says it will be a real exciting year. He mentions his and Big Swoll's confrontation with Curt Hennig, Barry Windham and Bobby Duncum Jr., and goes on to talk about how he grew up a professional wrestling fan. He says it is an honor to make this thing happen with Eric Bischoff. Rey says that with all the music Master P brings out and appreciates the message that he brings to the world. Bischoff says the No Limit Soldiers' perspective is a positive one, and that there is a lot of positive things to their approach to everything that will benefit WCW.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage, Madusa, Gorgeous George and Miss Madness show up. Savage says he is the boss and the greatest professional wrestler today, then talks about how he was "crowned the uncrowned, undisputed champion of all time" and says it was the crime of the century when he made the illegal elbow legal. Every time he dropped it, people got beat. Last night was no exception, and his entourage saw it. He goes on to say that "Mona" beat 25,937 to earn the title of "Miss Madness," and that Gorgeous George is retiring from professional wrestling undefeated. He then says he hit the elbow from the top rope, and says he beat Kevin Nash for the three count. On another night, Gorgeous George would have fainted, but he didn't get to kiss her like he wanted to then. He doesn't need to give her mouth-to-mouth or smelling salts, but he is giving everyone a wake-up call, and has one word for Kevin Nash. He says he will be unbelievably vicious. He says this is not the end of the beginning or the beginning of the end, as Nash is not in his league and he is the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. He says he will become more vicious than anyone will understand, and has two words for Nash: Wolfpac sucks. Savage then says he will get Nash, as Nash's career is over and his is on fire.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Kidman beats Hugh Morrus. During the match, Morrus tosses Kidman up so that he comes down on the top of a fully opened steel chair. Amazingly, Kidman hits Morrus with a facebuster on the chair followed by the top rope Shooting Star Press for the win.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, who shows up wth "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Flair looks at himself on the video screen, then says it is great to be the man and the president of WCW again. If anybody doesn't think he is the man, they will have to see what he does tonight, as he will pull a major coup and ask one of the greatest wrestlers ever, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, to come to the ring and accept the position of WCW Vice President. Piper shows up with an entourage of bagpipe players, and promises as Vice President to uphold the office much like they do in Washington, DC, and says it will be a pleasure to call the shots in WCW with him. Suddenly, Dean Malenko shows up and says that if there was a man coming out of a 15-year coma turning the television to World Championship Wrestling, he would have thought that time never elapsed after looking at Piper and Flair, and says time is moving a lot faster than they think. He told them where he stood two weeks ago, and says he is a little sick and tired of being pushed down and held down. He is speaking for the younger wrestlers in the locker room, as it is their time and their moment. He tells Flair to have a little class, and to step down and pass the torch, saying Wayne Gretzky and John Elway have stepped down. Flair says he is out of his mind comparing him to Gretzky and Elway, and says he will not pass the torch. Malenko says he will not ask him anymore, and says he will take it collectively, whether he likes it or not. Flair tells Malenko he is in pretty heavy traffic to talk to him like this. Malenko then wants to know exactly where "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson stands. Anderson says you do not bum rush greatness, and that greatness comes to those who earn it. He gives Malenko the best advice he can give him: he is either a Horseman or a casualty of the Horseman, and he is standing where he has stood for the last ten years. Piper tells Malenko to get out of the ring, as he wasn't invited, and when he refuses, he is attacked by Piper. As he, Flair and Anderson take the boots to him, Buff Bagwell runs into the ring, but he fares no better. "The Crippler' Chris Benoit and Saturn try to help, but they are attacked backstage by Diamond Dallas Page, Bam Bam Bigelow and Kanyon.

Eric Bischoff shows up on commentary as Tony Schiavone plugs the WCW Hotline.

Before the next match, Ernest "The Cat" Miller says he did finish the job last night against Scott Norton, and if the fans would shut up, he could finish the job tonight. He calls him out because he wants to fight somebody, and if he does not show up, he will get in the car, get his karate gi and beat up everybody in the building before he brags about beating the entire black-and-white nWo. The nWo theme plays, but stops when Norton does not show up. The Cat says that Norton will not show up, but as he does, Norton runs into the ring and chops The Cat, starting the match.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller beats Scott Norton. During the match, The Cat gets one of his shoes on, and Norton inadvertently clotheslines the referee. Sonny Onoo gets in the ring and hits Norton in the back, and the referee is up and able to make the count only for Norton to kick out. The Cat then hits Norton with a standing side kick with the shoe to get the win.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Van Hammer beats Disco Inferno. Before the match, it is announced that WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and WCW Vice President "Rowdy" Roddy Piper have signed an eight-man tag match for later tonight: Flair, Piper, Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Dean Malenko, Buff Bagwell, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn. During the match, Van Hammer pushes Disco into referee Scott Dickson as he goes for the Chartbuster. Disco tries to revive Dickinson, but Van Hammer gets Disco with a sidewalk slam from behind and grabs the tights during the pinfall to win. After the match, Disco Inferno hits referee Scott Dickinson with a Chartbuster.

Eric Bischoff advertises that Dennis Rodman is coming back to World Championship Wrestling this Summer as we see his appearance in the newest issue of Detour Magazine.

Fit Finley beats Brian Knobbs. During the match, Knobbs rakes the eyes of referee Mickey Jay, which allows Jimmy Hart to grab a steel chair. Hart is about to hit Finley with the chair when Finley grabs the chair, starting a tug-of-war that accidentally sends Knobbs running first into the chair. After this, Hak shows up and hits Knobbs with a Kendo stick.

Former WWF Women's Champion Sable - who has just quit the World Wrestling Federation - is seen in the front row.

Kevin Nash shows up. He says he was sitting in the back (as the crowd chants for Sable) and says he has heard about "Macho Man" Randy Savage talking about how he beat him, and says that if that was the case, he wouldn't be holding the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He tells Savage to "go see the people in the white coats" after the show is over, then says he is not here to talk to Savag3e and is instead here to talk to Sid Vicious. He doesn't know where he has been, and does not care. He knows Sid is in the building, and wants him in the ring with the World title on the line. If Sid wants to attack him from behind and powerbomb him, then he had better bring it tonight as he is going to kick his ass. Even with sandals on, he is ready to give him a beating. Sid shows up on the video screen, saying he knows Nash really well and knows what button to push, and says he pushed the right button last night as he has now made the biggest mistake of his life. Sid says Nash has invited the devil to dance tonight, and he will take the invitation to take what is his. He says he will start and end with him tonight, and wants to know if Nash can take it all the way. Nash tells Sid he has bitten off more than he can chew, and he will see him tonight. He says he is walking out with the gold tonight.

Dean Malenko, Buff Bagwell, "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn beat "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon (who replaces Bam Bam Bigelow) with a Buff Blockbuster to Flair.

Hak vs. Rick Steiner ends before it can begin when Steiner attacks Hak and takes him backstage. After a backstage brawl involving a motorcyle and a Hummer, Steiner puts Hak through the roof of the Hummer before Sting comes out from the roof, puts Steiner through an RV and hits him with the bat a few times on the ramp before saying "Riddle me this, riddle me that...who's afraid of the big black bat?" before giving us two riddles. The first one is "What's black and brown and looks good on Sting? A Doberman Pinscher!" and "What's black and white and looks good on Steiner? Sting!" He then attacks Rick Steiner with the bat again.

Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr. - with The No Limit Soldiers at ringside - beat La Parka and Psychosis. Suddenly, Curt Hennig, Barry Windham and Bobby Duncum Jr. are seen at DJ Ran's turntable playing their own theme, which now has lyrics. Master P tells Curt Hennig that if he wants a piece of him, he'll get it. Master P then plays his own music.

Before the next match, "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up with Madusa, Miss Madness and Gorgeous George and says that Kevin Nash is at the crossroads of a vicious career. He demands that Nash hand over the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, as everybody knows that he beat him last night. Kevin Nash tells Savage to come get his belt since he is so delusional. Savage says that he is the real WCW World Heavyweight Champion, and as he reaches for the belt, Nash drops it before punching Savage. After Nash nails Savage with a big boot, Gorgeous George distracts Nash, and Savage kicks Nash in the groin from behind. Savage holds Navage back so that Miss Madness can hit him with a top rope drop kick. Nash fends off Madusa, then Sid Vicious runs into the ring. Nash ends up fighting both Savage and Sid at the same time, and the match between Sid Vicious and Kevin Nash for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is thrown out. Savage and Sid continue to attack Nash, and Savage punches referee Nic Patrick out. Sting then runs into the ring and manages to take on both Sting and Savage at the same time. Savage and Sid are forced to retreat, and the show ends.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for June 14, 1999

RAW

In footage from earlier today at WWF Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, WWF co-owner Vince McMahon's parking spot now belongs to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin talks with the secretary, and convinces her to conduct business on the phone with a more "Stone Cold" vocabulary as he heads to his top floor office.

The Corporate Ministry shows up to start tonight's show. WWF co-owner Vince McMahon says the fans tonight are downright rude. He says the only thing worse than "Stone Cold" Steve Austin being WWF Champion is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin being WWF CEO. Last Monday night was to have been a celebration and a culmination of blood, sweat and tears, planning, scheming and executing the most Machiavellian plan in the history of the World Wrestling Federation. But sometimes, plans go awry, and when they do, that tests the mettle of a man and an organization, and there are those in the crowd who think there are cracks in The Corporate Ministry and that it is about to dissolve, and even wish that it would disintegrate. He says that is only wishful thinking, as that is not going to happen tonight or any night. Vince says The Corporate Ministry is focused, and it sets its sights on the future, and as such, he and WWF co-owner Shane McMahon have given great deliberation to future and to King of the Ring. Austin has challenged him and Shane to a handicap match, which they eagerly anticipate. All that is left is what stipulation will be added to the match. Vince proposes a Dog Pound Match, but says they need to see one first by making one tonight. Vince proposes putting a dog collar on the necks of "Road Dogg" Jesse James and "Bad Ass" Billy Gunn, and connect the two collars with a chain. Shane loves the idea, and says that the handicap match at King of the Ring is like David vs. Goliath, with Austin being David and the two of them being Goliath. Shane proposes a David vs. Goliath in which Big Show is one corner and X-Pac is in the other, and asks what will happen. Shane then says he has another idea for a match: The Acolytes playing the part of him and Vince in a handicap match, with Kane playing the part of Austin as they square off in a handicap match tonight. Vince also proposes a Blindfold Match, but then calls it a Blind Date match. He considers taking Test and putting a blindfold on him for asking WWF co-owner Stephanie McMahon out on a date, and put him up against The Big Boss Man, who will have 20/20 vision. Vince then propose making the King of the Ring handicap match a Straitjacket Match, and puts "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock in a straitjacket against Jeff Jarrett, who will have full use of his limbs. Vince ensures that tonight is the night that everyone will remember for a long, long time. Suddenly, Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco show up, and Patterson tells Vince that he has known him for 20 long years and that Vince knows that Stephanie is his godchild. He knows that business is business, but wants to know how he can put Stephanie through such an ordeal like he did. Patterson tells Vince he is questioning his judgment when Vince asks if he is, and he wants answers. Vince tells Patterson to get himself right, or he will not like the answers. Patterson takes this as a threat, and tells Vince and Shane they can go straight to Hell. Brisco then tells Shane and Vince to "get their own damn coffee" while they head there. The Rock shows up. He tells The Undertaker that by getting involved in his match last week, he has checked himself into The Smackdown Hotel. He says that The Undertaker does not impress him by coming out with a huge Undertaker symbol, taking souls and rolling his eyes into the back of his head, and that if he really wants to impress him, he must put the WWF Championship on the line against him at King of the Ring. When his music hits and 20,000 asses are standing on their feet with goosebumps running through their bodies as they chant his name, then The Undertaker will head to the ring and sacrifice him, but instead of taking his eyes and rolling them up into the back of his body, he should take his entire 33-pound head, turn it backward like The Exorcist, have it roll down his back, catch it with both hands and stick it directly up his candy ass. The Undertaker's music hits, and The Undertaker arrives with Paul Bearer. The Undertaker tells The Rock that sing-along time is over, and that his mouth is writing checks his ass can't cash. He says The Rock has failed to realize that he has crippled more people than polio, and that The Rock may not be the first, but he will be the next. He says that it is time for The Rock to go to the learning tree, and that he accepts his challenge for King of the Ring. Suddenly, WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon show up, and Vince stops The Undertaker from accepting the match. Vince says he knows that The Undertaker is eager to do this, but says The Rock is not deserving of a title shot and that the only thing electrifying about him is the gaudy shirts he wears. He tells The Rock that he must be victorious against The Undertaker tonight in order to get a title shot at King of the Ring. The Rock says he will kick The Undertaker's ass, whether it be tonight or King of the Ring. Shane then says a stipulation will be added to the match, and that The Rock will not find out what it is until five minutes before he comes out for his match.

A backstage worker is seen running with a chain. Jeff Jarrett asks Debra if the man tried to make a pass at her.

In footage from earlier today, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin holds a meeting with management, and asks that everyone read the booklet about himself to see what new direction the WWF is headed before passing everyone a beer. As he figures out who everyone is and what they do, he fires the first guy he talks to, then promotes the mail clerk to that position. He then holds a beer-drinking contest - and tells Justin, the former mail clerk, to clean the beer he spilled on the floor - where the winner is the only one who isn't sloppy drunk and all the losers who are will get fired.

After Austin gets Matt DeLuca to say "I just whipped your ass," Matt shows Austin to the accounting department.

X-Pac tells Kane to go to the back, but when X-Pac persists, eh gets throat chopped. Referee Jimmy Korderas runs away, then hits a kick on Kane before hitting a spinning heel kick on Big Show. Big Show almost gets back in the ring, but leaves as Kane and X-Pac argue.

In footage from earlier today at WWF Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut, we see numerous framed pictures of WWF co-owner Vince McMahon's photos and numerous accomplishments. We then see "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who says he has looked over the day-to-day operations of World Wrestling Federation, and says that he's been stepping in so much bullshit he might as well be swimming in it. A few men dump wheelbarrows full of cow manure on the floor of the office in a pile. WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon are livid, and Austin is seen pouring beer on the pile of cow manure.

WWF co-owners Vince and Shane McMahon show up. Vince says "Stone Cold" Steve Austin has disgraced the World Wrestling Federation with his mere presence in WWF's world headquarters, and says he will not forget or forgive what he has done on this day. However, he and Shane cannot wait for the day that Austin will no longer be CEO of the World Wrestling Federation. He proposes taking Austin's title as CEO, as well as his and Shane's stock in the company, and hang it above the ring. He says the only way to get it all is to climb a ladder. He makes their handicap match at King of the Ring a Ladder Match. Shane then announces that if The Rock can beat The Undertaker tonight, he will get his WWF Championship at King of the Ring. Before he can mention the stipulation for their match, "The World's Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock - now straitjacket-free - runs into the ring, hits Shane with a belly-to-belly suplex and chases Vince to the back.

We see some footage from during the break where Vince jumps into his limousine, which speeds out of the arena.

The Rock beats The Undertaker and "Triple H" Hunter Hearst Helmsley in a Triple Threat Match. During the match, The Rock inadvertently catapults Triple H into referee Earl Hebner in the corner. The Rock manages to push The Undertaker into Triple H and hit 'Taker with the Rock Bottom, and knocks Triple H off the apron, but Hebner is still down. Referee Mike Chioda runs into the ring, but Chyna pulls him out of the ring so that Triple H can try to pin The Rock as Hebner counts. The Rock still kicks out. Chyna inadvertently trips The Undertaker as she looks away from the ring, thinking 'Taker is The Rock, and this causes Triple H to confront The Undeertaker. The Rock manages to hit Triple H with the Rock Bottom and get the pinfall before 'Taker can break it. As per pre-match stipulation, The Rock gets a shot at the WWF Championship at King of the Ring. After the match, The Undertaker and Triple H brawl, and The Corporate Ministry has to step in to separate both men as the show ends.

The Great American Bash 1999 - The Results

A white limousine shows up backstage, and out of it comes Master P and The No Limit Soldiers. Curt Hennig meets them and tries to kiss up to them, going so far as to say he loves rap music. One of the Soldiers hands Master P an album, which Master P signs, and Master P hands it to him. Hennig respects Master P so much he breaks the album, jewel case and all, with his bare hands. This leads to Master P and The No Limit Soldiers going after Hennig.

It is announced that Kevin Nash will make it to The Great American Bash tonight, though he will not be at 100% due to what happened to him last week on Nitro.

Before the next match, Brian Knobbs says it is a nasty day in Baltimore, Maryland because it it Mrs. Nasty's birthday today, and he promised her a birthday present in form of destroying Hak. He proposed that he and Hak ditch all the weapons and see who's really hardcore. When the match starts, however, Knobbs is already using weapons.

Hak beats Brian Knobbs in a Kendo Stick Match that ends up being a Hardcore Match after sending Knobbs into a steel chair held by Jimmy Hart before whacking him with a Kendo stick. After the match, Hugh Morrus shows up, and Morrus, Hart and Knobbs triple-team Hak before Morrus hits Hak with a No Laughing Matter on a ladder on top of Hak and Knobbs drops off the top rope and hits the ladder with a trash can. Hak is in need of medical attention, but he is able to get up under his own power.

Backstage, Buff Bagwell thanks "Rowdy" Roddy Piper for last Thursday, and tells him he has his back tonight.

Van Hammer beats Mikey Whipwreck.

Buff Bagwell beats Disco Inferno.

Before the next match, Curt Hennig and Bobby Duncum Jr. come out to new music, which features the vocals of Hennig and features a prominent "I hate rap" chorus. Also, Rey Mysterio Jr. and Konnan are seen with Master P and The No Limit Soldiers, who are all in the front row between the aisle and the ring. Hennig tells Master P that his music sounds like something he would hear in the men's room and that it belongs in the toilet. This leads to Konnan and Rey attacking Hennig and Duncum from behind to start their match early.

Konnan and Rey Mysterio Jr. beat Curt Hennig and Bobby Duncum Jr. During the match, Barry Windham, who has not been seen in some time, jumps the guardrail and goes after Konnan. Big Swoll, Master P's bodyguard, jumps the guardrail, punches Duncum from the apron and goes after Windham as Rey pins Duncum. After the match, WCW security eject Master P and The No Limit Soldiers out of the building. As this happens, Windham and Duncum attack Rey, then hold him and hogtie him before taking out Konnan.

Before the next match, Horace Hogan shows up and calls out Ernest "The Cat" Miller for hitting him with a crowbar last week, and says that everybody in the crowd as well as the black-and-white nWo would rather do than to see him get in the ring and beat the crap out of him. The Cat says he has already beaten him, and calls out Scott Norton, saying that if Norton does not show up in three minutes, he will beat the crap out of everybody in the building. Horace tells Miller that he couldn't even beat himself up, and runs in the ring and fights him, starting a match.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller beats Horace Hogan after Sonny Onoo pulls a red shoe out of his briefcase and hands it to The Cat, who puts it on and superkicks Horace with it. After the match, he puts on the other shoe as well as a red cape saying "the greatest," then limps towards the aisle before waving the cape off and dancing like James Brown.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats "Rowdy" Roddy Piper by disqualification and remains president of WCW. During the match, Flair pulls out a taped-up brass knuckle and punches Piper with it behind the referee's back, but Piper kicks out. After that, Flair goes for a Figure Four and grabs on to "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson's hands for leverage. Saturn attacks Anderson, then Buff attacks Flair, and the bell rings. Piper attacks Flair in the corner, then Piper attacks Bagwell before Anderson does the same. Flair and Anderson then hold Bagwell down as Piper whips Bagwell in the back with a leather belt. Flair and Anderson leave with Asya, but Piper whips Bagwell with the leather belt one more time.

Rick Steiner vs. Sting in a no-disqualification match ends with Rick Steiner taking Sting to the backstage area, where Tank Abbott grabs Sting from behind and Scott Steiner sics two Doberman Pinschers and a Rottweiler on Sting. All three dogs attack Sting, and WCW security has to spring into action. The camera cuts to the crowd, and Scott Steiner shows up with Rick and referee Mickey Jay. Scott says that to his understanding, falls count anywhere, and that WCW is protecting Sting because it is too graphic for WCW to show, Scott Steiner says he and Rick are doing things their way, then he tosses Mickey Jay out of the ring after he raises Rick's hand. Rick tells Sting not to come back to the dog pound, as they will cut him down to size like a pack of wild dogs like they just did. Scott goes on to say that Rick is with him in the nWo because WCW sucks, and that they are the greatest tag team in wrestling before Rick calls Baltimore, Maryland "the shittiest town in America."

The Jersey Triad (Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon) beat "The Crippler" Chris Benoit and Perry Saturn to win the WCW World Tag Team Championships for their group for the second time. During the match, it is confirmed that the dogs that have attacked Sting have been pulled off of him, and that while Sting is being tended to by trainer Danny Young, the extent of his injuries is still uncertain. Later on, Dean Malenko shows up and checks on Saturn as Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow hit Benoit with a double-team Diamond Cutter before placing Kanyon's arm on top of Benoit's chest. Malenko gets Saturn back in the ring, but by then it is too late. After the match, Malenko is hit with a double-team Diamond Cutter.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for June 7, 1999

A white limousine is seen pulling up to the arena. "Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up with Miss Madness, Gorgeous George and Madusa. Inside the trunk is a bucket of raw sewage, which the driver opens for Savage. Savage takes the bucket with him, and says that if Kevin Nash wants to play "kid games," so will he. Savage and company then start looking for Nash backstage, saying it's no longer about the belt and that it has gotten personal.

Hak shows up with a cigarette in his mouth, much to the irritation of the commentary team, of which Eric Bischoff is part of again this week for part of the show. When WCW Executive Committee Chairman J.J. Dillon tells Hak to put the cigarette so the match can started, but Hak blows cigarette smoke in his face and says "Make me." Eric Bischoff gets in the ring and tries to reasonably tell him to put out the cigarette. At this point, Hak blows smoke in his face, and WCW security gets in the ring. Bischoff smacks Hak in the face, and security holds Hak back. Bischoff then takes the cigarette out of Hak's mouth, and tells them to let him wrestle instead of ringing the bell.

Hak beats Prince Iaukea after Chastity sprays Iaukea in the eyes with a fire extinguisher before Hak put Iaukea into, but not through, a table. After the match, Brian Knobbs, Jimmy Hart and Hugh Morrus run into the ring and go after Hak, but Kidman shows up and takes out Morrus from the top rope before fighting him, Knobbs and Hart. Knobbs and Morrus then brawl with Hak and Kidman, and Morrus and Knobbs come out on top.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Before the next match, Eric Bischoff spoils that Vince McMahon is "the higher power" on WWF programming, and also says that he is not as powerful as he says he is as he is dealing with a $110 million lawsuit (a reference to the Hart family suing the World Wrestling Federation over Owen Hart's death).

Scotty Riggs beats Lenny Lane. During the match, Lodi shows up. It is noted that his fingernails are painted purple and has purple bead bracelets around his wrists. He is also seen talking to Lenny Lane when he is tossed out of the ring by Scotty Riggs.

WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is in his office with "The Crippler" Chris Benoit, trying to renew Benoit's confidence in him and make Benoit see him as the man, the wrestler and the legend, not WCW President. He wants to sell him on being a Horseman, and asks for another opportunity for him to trust him. Benoit tells Flair he has always had the utmost respect for him due to all the opportunities he gave him, but after last week, it is no longer unconditional; it is conditional and questionable at best. Flair tells Benoit he doesn't get it, and says all he and "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson did was prove they are the two greatest professional wrestlers alive, and says there should be no reason why he and Benoit should be butting heads when they could be kicking somebody's head. He says that Benoit is great and he wants to pass the torch to him, saying he is "the man in waiting." Flair tells Benoit he will make it good for him tonight. He talks about how four or five years ago were the hardest time of his life due to the falling out between himself and Anderson, and that they had to walk the aisle from separate dressing rooms until they got back together. He asks Benoit to trust in him again and let him be the Ric Flair he was when The Four Horseman reunited. Benoit tells Flair he will consider it. Saturn suddenly shows up, and asks for a rematch for the tag team titles against Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow now that Kanyon is medically cleared. Flair passive-aggressively threatens to go for the tag team titles with Benoit, but Saturn is having none of it, and says he doesn't care if he and Benoit are tag team champions. He will get the tag team titles back somehow. Flair and Benoit agree on going for the tag team titles, especially considering DDP and Bigelow laid him out last week, and Flair is happy to have re-united with Benoit.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage shows up with the bucket of raw sewage, as does Madusa, Gorgeous George and Miss Madness. Savage says Kevin Nash is nowhere in the building, and he has looked everywhere. He says a man in his position cannot afford to look ridiculous, and tells Kevin Nash he messed up big time. He says it is no surprise that Nash is not here tonight, and that he will have to wait until The Great American Bash to take his title. He says it is now personal after what he did last week, and now Nash is playing "kid games" with "the lord and master of game players." He says Nash is not off the hook, even though he is, for he is the man. He says that he is on a higher level than Nash, and that there is nothing Nash can do about it. He then talks about the raw sewage in the bucket, which he says he got last week. He says if Nash had the guts - which he says that he does not - he would be right here on Nitro. Now, he owes everyone in the building and in WCW responsible, and says it has hit the fan and it is on. He says that since Nash does not have the guts and is not here tonight, he wants an opponent. He doesn't care if it is even five guys or ten guys or thirty guys, as the raw sewage will be dumped on the man with the guts to come out to the ring and face him. Suddenly, Sting shows up, and tells Savage that since it is Monday Nitro and he is back in black - and since Savage is pretty in pink - he and Savage will face each other tonight. Savage says he cannot believe Sting is that stupid, but for entertainment value, since he has all the money and women he needs in his or anybody's lifetime - he will pretend that Sting is a tune-up for The Great American Bash, he will grant Sting his wish, as he belives Sting needs a shampoo job and he knows where to put the conditioner on. Sting tells Savage it's showtime, and says "Macho Madness" is on Viagra. Savage tells Sting that he is really going to get it as Sting heads to the back. He then tells Kevin Nash to watch what he does to a man called Sting.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

Kevin Nash shows up with a bag and a chair. He tells "Macho Man" Randy Savage he knows he is not on his way out yet because he cannot smell him. He says he showed up a little late, and that his wrestling gear is in the bag. He knows that Savage has said he does not like to be made to look ridiculous, and begs Savage to look in the mirror before he makes his way to the ring. Nash tells Savage that if he wants a piece of him, he is out here waiting. Savage shows up with his bucket of raw sewage, saying Nash is a stupid man and that he is not in his league. Miss Madness, Madusa and Gorgeous George show up as Nash says that Savage has stinked as his career has progressed through the last couple of years. Savage says that nobody has made him look ridiculous like Nash has, and says this is Nash's day to tell everyone that he is a monkey who made a ridiculous mistake and that he is not on this level. Nash asks Savage why he has brought one bag to the ring while Savage has brought three as he runs away. Savage asks Nash where he is going, and wants Nash in the ring. Nash tells Savage that if he wants a piece of him, he'll have to put down the bucket, have Madusa, George and Miss Madness open the ring ropes. He then tells Savage to beg him for a fight tonight, and Savage gets down on one knee to beg the big Macho Man in the sky that Nash has what it takes to come into the ring, as this will never happen again. As this goes on, Kevin Nash's bag moves from the inside. A girl pops out, takes the bucket of raw sewage and dumps it all over Savage before fleeing through the crowd. Commentary breaks into laughter as Nash says "Smellin' good, Mach, smellin' good!" and "You look sweet wearin' corn, big boy!" Savage chases Nash to the back, and the moment is replayed as the ring crew has to clean the ring up.

The Four Horsemen ("The Nature Boy" Ric Flair and "The Crippler" Chris Benoit) beat Diamond Dallas Page and Bam Bam Bigelow to win the WCW World Tag Team Championships. However, Flair is not one of the titles' co-holders, as he leaves Benoit high and dry, much to the shock of "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson. Anderson ends up taking his shirt off and getting on the apron, replacing Flair as Benoit's tag team partner. Suddenly, Saturn shows up and tells Anderson he has this. Benoit tags Saturn in, and Saturn fires on all cylinders as he fights off DDP and Bigelow before hitting DDP with the Death Valley Driver. Benoit and Saturn win the match and become the WCW World Tag Team Champions. Kanyon shows up to celebrate with Saturn, but hits Saturn with the Flatliner and takes the boots to him while DDP and Bigelow stomp Benoit in the corner. After a double-team Diamond utter to Benoit, DDP Diamond Cutters the referee before doing the same to Benoit along with Bigelow. Kanyon then hands DDP and Bigelow the tag team titles and heads to the back along with them.

La Parka and Silver King beat Damian and Ciclope in a Falls Count Anywhere Mexican Hardcore Match.

The black-and-white nWo meet in the locker room. Scott Norton confronts the rest of the group for skipping town after Ernest "The Cat" Miller hit him with a tire iron and leaving without him. The rest of the crew cannot even get their story straight, and Norton reluctantly has to squash the beef with them.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller and Sonny Onoo show up. Miller brags about how he knocks Scott Norton out with one kick (even though it was with a tire iron), and chastises the crowd for not believing in him when he "shook the world" and "became the greatest." He tells everyone to bow down to him and tell him he is the greatest. He says he is going to the top and beat everybody with one kick, and then he is going to dance because it is payback time. He says that if somebody doesn't believe he is a bad man, he dares somebody to get in the ring with him. Horace Hogan suddenly runs into the ring, and the fight is on.

Ernest "The Cat" Miller beats Horace Hogan after Sonny Onoo distracts the referee so that The Cat can hit Horace with a crowbar. Once again, the black-and-white nWo are seen watching the match in the locker room at the end of the match, and this time, with Scott Norton in tow, the black-and-white nWo head to the ring and chase The Cat and Onoo to the back while checking on Horace.

We see another performance by The Nitro Girls.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "Rowdy" Roddy Piper. He says he will make WCW President "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair bleed to death at The Great American Bash and turn Space Mountain into a fountain, as his nose is so big that they won't be able to find a tourniquet to fit it. After he takes control of WCW, he has problems that he will mix and match and stir up. He knows there are some young guys sitting in coach on the plane wondering why Piper is the main event and not them, and says it's reality check time and time to get real. He mocks ring announcer Michael Buffer's trademark "Let's get ready to rumble" quote and asks Buff Bagwell to come to the ring. Piper asks Buff how many times he's wrestled in Madison Square Zero (which is zero), and Buff tells him it's not 1975 anymore and that he's buff and he's the stuff. Piper asks what "the stuff" is. Buff says "You're lookin' at it, big man." Piper then asks about his broken neck and how he got back into the ring, then how he faked another career-threatening injury, and asks if he will do whatever it takes to make it to the top. Buff says yes. Piper says that after he beats Flair at The Great American Bash, he will give him the ball. He says he has never fumbled, but he will give him the ball, and if Buff fumbles, he will be right down his neck. Buff tells Piper that if he gives him the ball, he will run with it. The two of them shake hands.

Madusa, Gorgeous George and Miss Madness are in the limousine when Kevin Nash approaches. They gets his attention, and after telling them that "Macho Man" Randy Savage is not with them and that it's ladies' night out, ask him to open a bottle of champagne for them. Kevin Nash tells them to get out so he can check the limo. He eventually puts his bags in the trunk and gets in the back, and the ladies insist he go in first. They close the door on him, then the divider comes down and it is revealed that Savage is the driver. Savage parks the limo, and a white Hummer runs into the back of it multiple times. Kevin punches the window out and tries to open the door, but he is hurt badly.

Curt Hennig guests on commentary for the next match. Meanwhile, Konnan joins DJ Ran at the turntable, but still guests on commentary regardless.

Rey Mysterio Jr. beats Bobby Duncum Jr. by disqualification after Curt Hennig gets involved in the match. Konnan runs to the ring to chases Hennig and Duncum out.

The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) show up. Scott says all his hooches have a space to fill, and they tell him he's the big thrill. He says that they will know that he is Superman between the sheets. Scott then says that when Rick Steiner was beating the crap out of Sting, he was in the back to see if he had any friends who would help him as well as if there were any real men willing to face him and Rick. He then tells Sting that it is obvious that he is on his own, and at The Great American Bash, Rick will be there, and where he is at, he will be at. He says that if Sting does not have any friends there, they will show him why they are the most feared tag team in the world and the greatest tag team that ever lived. Rick says there will be some changes around here, as it is now rule of the fittest and he and Scott are the top of the food chain while everyone else is fresh meat. If anyone gets a chance to face one of them, they had better not hesitate for a second, as they will be on them like a pack of wild dogs. Rick then says that if he catches Sting anywhere in the dog pound, he will take him out. If anyone in the back does not like him, they can bite him. If anyone wants some, they can come get some, as he is the D.F.G. and he does not back down from anybody.

Before the next match, Disco Inferno says he has heard what Buff Bagwell said earlier and says he already dropped the ball, as he had a chance to look "Rowdy" Roddy Piper in the eye and tell him he stinks, and he did not do it. He says Buff has no guts or stuff, and says this is why he got kicked out of the Wolfpac. He tells Buff that if he wants to be the man, he tells him to come to the ring and wrestle him, and show him why he is the man. It is then announced that Eric Bischoff is on WCW.com with information on Kevin Nash as well as who was driving the Hummer that collided into the limousine in the successful attempt to badly hurt Nash. Buff Bagwell gets in the ring and says he was almost at his car when he heard him run his mouth. He admits he was kicked out of the Wolfpac, but everyone knows that Disco was not even in the Wolfpac. Disco attacks Buff as soon as he turns his back, and this starts their match.

Buff Bagwell beats Disco Inferno.

Before the next match, "Macho Man" Randy Savage says that Sting is finished now that Kevin Nash has been taken out.

Sting beats "Macho Man" Randy Savage by disqualification. During the match, Madusa, Miss Madness and Gorgeous George distract referee Johnny Boone so that Savage can throw powder into Sting's face. Miss Madness goes for a top rope Frankensteiner, but Sting pushes her off and Savage hits Boone with a punch followed by a piledriver. Referee Mickey Jay shows up and rings the bell, and Sting fights back against Savage, even as Savage uses Miss Madness and Madusa as human shields. He eventually gets Savage, and The Steiner Brothers get in the ring and attack Sting, with Scott hitting Sting with the United States title. Lex Luger runs into the ring with a black baseball bat to make the save for Sting, and the Steiners are chased out of the ring to end the show.
