Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for April 10, 2000

It is revealed that the set for Nitro has changed again. It is then revealed that the entire WCW roster is in the ring and at ringside, with even more people arriving. None of the older, more prominent talent from the 1980s and early 1990s, such as Kevin Nash, Sting, Hulk Hogan, and others are absent, which most everyone in the ring being newer, younger, fresher talent. Jeff Jarrett shows up with a microphone, and says that when he came to WCW six months ago, he told everyone that he was the chosen one and was handpicked to become the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. He says that his future was in the hands of the biggest hand that turned the WWF around, and he knows that because he was there. Along the way, however, their master plan was derailed by a bunch of "good ol' boys" who could not compete and were not even in his league, and they knew it, and they are sitting at home watching the show right now. All he has to say to them is that what goes around, comes around, and he then introduces everyone to the man who once was WWF owner Vince McMahon's best-kept secret and the man who will once again change the game: Vince Russo. Despite promising that he would never appear on camera (all of his previous appearances had him out of sight, similarly to Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget), Vince Russo shows up on camera, walks down the aisle and into the ring. Russo takes the microphone from Jarrett and says that after giving six years of his life to the World Wrestling Federation, he came to WCW with one thing in mind: to beat Vince McMahon at his own game. Within a matter of week, the "new blood" in WCW would not only get back in the game, they changed it. Unfortunately, the "good ol' boy" network that feared change and feared for their lives took him down, and they know who they are because they are watching him now. Suddenly, he was told that there would be a change in direction that he knew "sucked," and he was not the only one who knew as Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Shane Douglas all knew, and they were gone. He also says that Scott Steiner knew it and got suspended for it. He then says it is all over and done now, and that he is in charge again. He tells the WCW roster that the "good ol' boys" management and the inflated egos in the back who fear losing their jobs is over, and that it is a new day as well as their opportunity to seize. Suddenly, Eric Bischoff's voice is heard, asking Russo "Are you done yet?" Bischoff shows up, gets in the ring, and shakes hands with and hugs Russo, and says that they have more in common than anybody knows. He then says that the big thing is that they were both screwed by the same "good ol' boys' network, and those days are indeed over. He does not mind that, however, as it has given him a hell of an opportunity to think of all the good tings he did in WCW as well as to realize the mistakes he made, such as Scott Hall, Kevin Nash, Sting, Diamond Dallas Page, and "Sid "Wish He Was" Vicious. He then calls Hulk Hogan his biggest mistake ever, and as some of the older stars watch on a monitor backstage, Bischoff says everyone told him he would use and screw him, and to not look at the red-and-yellow light, for he would be blinded. Bischoff says he was blinded, but tonight, he has 20/20 vision, and he is seeing real clearly for the first time in a long time. He apologizes to all of the new blood in the ring, and says that if there is anything he can do for Vince Russo that will help them, he is there for Russo as well as for them, as this is "a whole new WCW." He then asks where the older, more established wrestling superstars are, and Russo says they are hiding n the back with their tails between their legs. Suddenly, DDP< Sting, Elizabwth, The Total Package, Miss Elizabeth, and Sid Vicious show up. Bischoff proceeds to mock the older wrestlers on the stage, as he says he is glad they all came to work. DDP says he has no idea what Bischoff is smoking, but that Bischoff had better step off. Bischoff says "Screw you!" to DDP, and says that if it wasn't for him, he would be downing drinks in the a run-down redneck bar in the middle of Florida telling people he he is friends with Bon Jovi. He asks DDP where he was the last six months while he was unemployed, then reminds Sting that he remade his career and that he made The Total Package a millionaire when the WWF wanted nothing more to do with him. Bischoff then tells the guys on the stage that he made them and that he might as well break them, and this time it will be on a more level playing field. Russo then calls out "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, calling him "a piece of shit on the bottom of [hos] shoe" before saying he will "scrap that shit off [his] shoe" and "flush it down the toilet personally." Russo tells Jarrett that Eric has indeed made the playing field more level and that they will start a new day tonight. He then asks Jarrett to personally hand over the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship over to him before announcing that all champions will be stripped of their titles and that there will be a brand new playing field tonight. Bischoff then asks for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and Sid tells Bischoff to "bring [his] scrawny little ass over here and take it." Bischoff says "okay," and goes up the ramp. He asks for the title and asks Sid if he is going to lay him out, then he will heal and come back knowing that Sid is unemployed. Bischoff then gives Sid the choice of laying him out or giving him the World title, saying he has been beaten up before and that it will not be the last time, going so far as to ask him "What's the matter, Sid? Can't find your scissors?" (The question is a reference to Sid Vicious stabbing "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson with a pair of scissors in a backstage incident years ago when he still went by the name Sid Justice.) Sid reluctantly hands the World title over to Bischoff, who tells him "See you on the 16th...Spring Stampede...as this will be the day the real World Heavyweight Champion will wear this belt." Sid walks to the back as Bischoff takes the belt back to the ring. World Championship Wrestling is now "rebooted" at the hands on Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff. (As the championships are all made vacant, the WCW World Television Championship is retired and officially ceases to be after a more than 25-year history that started in Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling in 1974.)

Scott Hudson joins Tony Schiavone and Mark Madden on the commentary table, officially making the commentary team a three-man booth again.

Hulk Hogan is seen entering the arena.

We see footage from moments ago of everyone walking out of the ring congratulating Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo.

Backstage, Sting tells Hulk Hogan about what has just happened at the beginning of the show. Sting tells Hogan that Bischoff is on to him, and when Hogan asks "How close?", Sting says Bischoff might as well kick him between the legs. Hogan says "I'm on it." Sting tells Hogan "I'm not ribbin' ya," and Hogan says "You know what? I'm not ribbin' ya, either."

It is announced that four men will compete in a mini-tournament to see who will face Jeff Jarrett for the now-vacated WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Spring Stampede: Diamond Dallas Page, Sting, The Total Package and Sid Vicious. Also, DDP's music is prematurely cut off, and he gets no pyrotechnics during the "bang" part of his entrance. When The Total Package shows up, his entrance music is also prematurely cut off. Also, the spotlights are cut off and the house lights are turned back on before The Total Package can even do his signature entrance pose.

Diamond Dallas Page beats The Total Package to face the winner of Sting vs. Sid Vicious in the WCW World Heavyweight Championship mini-tournament later tonight. During the match, Buff Bagwell shows up. His posing and entrance music distracts both the referee and The Total Package, and DDP gets alow blow in. Buff Bagwell then makes advances towards Kimberly, which distracts DDP, and then Buff puts his hands on Miss Elizabeth and kisses her, distracting The Total Package again. DDP then hits the Diamond Cutter for the win. After the match, DDP's music plays for a few seconds, then stops entirely.

Hulk Hogan is seen looking for Eric Bischoff backstage.

Curt Hennig meets with Vince Russo, wanting to know what is going on. Russo tells Hennig that if he can beat Jeff Jarrett tonight, he will get the shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Spring Stampede instead of Jarrett.

Backstage, Hulk Hogan is still looking for Eric Bischoff.

Before the next match, Tank Abbott says he is not some "candyass wrestler;" he is a shoot fighter who does not know the difference between a wristwatch and a wrist lock. However, he knows how to kick somebody's ass, when he came to WCW, he came for Goldberg. He says it is no coincidence that Goldberg got injured the week he arrived on the scene, and says that until Goldberg "grows big enough balls to fight him," he will beat "the holy hell" out of innocent victims and he will start tonight and keep going until Goldberg shows up. His first victim ends up being Mark Madden, despite Madden telling Abbott to go after Tony Schiavone or Scott Hudson. He rips off Mark Madden's shirt and gets him in the ring punch at him until WCW security arrives.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett confronts Vince Russo for putting him in a match with Curt Hennig with his shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Spring Stampede on the line. Russo asks Jarrett who named him "the chosen one" and asks Jarrett if he looks like J.J. Dillon to him before walking off.

Backstage, Kidman tells Torrie Wilson that something has been going on long enough and that he has to take care of it himself

Terry Taylor tells Hulk Hogan where Eric Bischoff is.

Hulk Hogan meets with Eric Bischoff, and the two of them go into Bischoff's office.

Kidman shows up. He feels like he has just been handed a "get out of jail free" card, as for years, he and the rest of the new blood have been held down by the egomaniacs trying to hold on to their fading careers. He says he has been used and abused and told to keep his mouth shut; now, tonight is his night and the one man he wants to address is Hulk Hogan. He says that Hogan has badmouthed him for weeks due to his size, and says he has two things Hogan does not and will never take from him: heart and talent. He also says everyone knows that in order to get Hogan's tan, all one has to do is to be in the spotlight for way too long. He also mentions that Hogan has said that he cannot draw flies and retorts by saying nobody draws flies better than "a pile of shit" like Hulk Hogan. Kidman then calls Hogan out, and Hogan is sees Kidman on a monitor wanting to see if Hogan's balls are bigger than his bald spot. Hogan heads towards the ring and asks Kidman who he thinks he is, and says he has been watching him the last couple of months, saying this isn't the first time he has heard him before calling him a punk that gives the guys in the business a bad name. Kidman tells Hogan he had a good run, but his run is over. Hogan tells Kidman that if he was in his league, he would understand what the business is all about. He then says that Kidman is "P-whipped" by Torrie Wilson, and Kidman responds by immediately decking Hogan before going on the ground and pound. This starts a brawl between Kidman and Hogan which ends with Hogan beating the crap out of Kidman. Eric Bischoff then shows up with a steel chair and gets Hogan's attention, then hits Hogan in the head with a steel chair, busting him open. Kidman pins Hogan, and Bischoff counts a pinfall.

A white limousine pulls out, and "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair comes out of the back door.

Backstage, an angry Hulk Hogan angrily hunts for Eric Bischoff while throwing things around. We then see "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair seeing everything that has happened so far in the show. Flair then heads to the ring, and says that if what he is told is correct, then Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff have given him the green light. He says that the old blood is still great and that unlike Eric Bischoff, who has the guts to walk up to Sid Vicious, does not have the guts to step up to him. Suddenly, Scott Steiner shows up to the original Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott Steiner) music, and says Flair is boring him to death and that the last time he did an interview on Flair, Flair paid attention, because his teeth are bleached but are still "crooked as hell." After the interview, Flair tried to get him fired, which doesn't surprise him. He then says that just about every champion in the WWF right now except for one person came from WCW, and that Flair and his friend ran them out so he could be a 14-time World champion. Scott Steiner then says "that doesn't mean shit to [him]," because a redneck in the crowd with no teeth could be a 14-time World champion if the right person was pulling the strings. He then says he looks at Flair and sees a confused look on his face, and says there is no way he should ever bring him to his level physically or mentally, so he will lower himself to Flair's level, which is "no-class white trash from Charlotte, North Carolina." He asks Flair to guess who he is now before putting on some fake teeth and pretending to make fun of Flair. All of a sudden, Flair is attacked from behind by Shane Douglas, who is not even part of the company anymore following the departure of Vince Russo, and security moves in and gets Shane Douglas in the corner.

Kevin Nash enters the arena on crutches.

Bret "The Hit Man" Hart is seen in the crowd, but the image is so dark that he can barely be seen. After the commercial break, it is revealed that this is indeed Bret Hart.

Backstage, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is seen looking for Shane Douglas.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interview Shane Douglas, who says he is doing whatever he wants, as he has been waiting for seven years and watching "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair make a mockery out of professional wrestling. He tells Flair that he has been "franchised" and that is the beginning of a long road for him. He then admits he hates Flair's guts and that tonight is a clean slate, then tells Okerlund to kiss his ass and watch him become a franchise.

Sting beats Sid Vicious by count-out to face Diamond Dallas Page for a shot at the vacant WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Jarrett at Spring Stampede. During the match, The Wall shows up with a wooden table and sets it up at ringside. Sting inadvertently splashes referee Nick Patrick in the back when Sid Vicious kicks out, and The Walls gets in the ring and hits Sid Vicious with a steel chair before putting him through the table. WCW security then shows up and forces The Wall to the back. Sting then wins by count-out when Nick Patrick gets up.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up in the ring again, calling out Shane Douglas, saying he has made a point but that he has pissed him off. He then says he will make Shane Douglas famous tonight, and tells Vince Russo that diamonds are forever, and so is "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair.

A still-angry Hulk Hogan is seen tossing things around backstage.

Hulk Hogan is still angry, and he attacks two wrestlers backstage before threatening to kill Eric Bischoff.

We see footage of the premiere of Ready To Rumble at Mann's Chinese Theater in Hollywood, California. Thanks to Diamond Dallas Page, Jeff Jarrett's crashing of the premiere is stopped by a guitar shot to the head by Ready To Rumble star David Arquette.

Jeff Jarrett beats Curt Hennig to retain his spot in the WCW World Heavyweight Championship match at Spring Stampede. It is announced during the match that Hulk Hogan has been notified that Eric Bischoff is currently in a skybox somewhere in the arena. Later on in the match, Shawn Stasiak - the man formerly known as Meat in the World Wrestling Federation - heads to the ring to Curt Hennig's "Mr. Perfect" music and proceeds to mock him, distracting Hennig. This does not last for long, and Hennig inadvertently elbows Jarrett into referee Charles Robinson. Stasiak then gets in the ring and slams Hennig into the ring before Robinson gets up and turns around, and Jarrett hits The Stroke for the win.

Backstage, Hulk Hogan is seen looking for Eric Bischoff in the skyboxes.

Backstage, Kevin Nash is on the phone with somebody, saying Eric Bischoff is out of control. He asks the person on the other end if they are going to be here, and to make it to the arena if they can.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sting, who says that with all the trash talk around here tonight, Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo seem to have everything all figured out. He says that since 1988, he has worked his butt off in WCW, and says he is loyalty and that he owes them Starting tonight and ending Sunday, he is going after Jeff Jarrett, who will soon be out the door.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair beats Shane Douglas in a fight by disqualification after Vince Russo shows up and strikes Flair with a baseball bat before handing the bat to Shane Douglas to do the same. Russo then walks off with Flair's Rolex.

Kevin Nash shows up on crutches. He says there are "a couple of jackoffs in the back" running around and deciding whose careers they will make or break, and to add insult to injury, they have decided to "play wrestler and attack the boys." He admits that he has lost a couple of brain cells traveling with Scott Hall over the last ten years, but he wants to know what has happened to "that sweet little wrestling show" they do every Monday night and wants to know where the dog is when you need him. Nash tells Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff that he will give them an opportunity, as he just gotten off the phone with Scott Hall - who is now straight, sober and in a really bad mood - and the way he sees it, neither of them would be here if it were not for them, especially Russo, whom he and Hall saved from being decapitated by "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels on numerous occasions. He also says that if it weren't for them, Eric Bischoff would have no nWo and he would still be bringing Verne Gagne his coffee up in Minnesota. He says that if Russo and Bischoff want them out, all they have to do is bring their bat, bring their chair and bring their balls. All of a sudden, Kevin Nash is attacked from behind by Mike Awesome - who is still in Extreme Championship Wrestling as the current ECW World Heavyweight Champion - (The ECW World Heavyweight Championship is not around Awesome's waist due to WCW's concerns over legal issues, and Awesome has jumped ship due to overdue wages at ECW that Paul Heyman has yet to pay him.) He says that when he heard Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff were back in the saddle in WCW, he knew this was too sweet an opportunity to pass up.

An angry Hulk Hogan is on a cellphone with his attorney in his limousine, demanding his attorney while saying Kidman is history, as is Vince Russo. All of a sudden, a white Hummer - the one from last summer - hits the limousine repeatedly. Eric Bischoff gets out of the Hummer with Kidman, and tells Hogan that he was the guy in the white Hummer from last summer and to buy his way out of this.

Hulk Hogan is seen being put on a stretcher when Kidman and Eric Bischoff show up. Kidman spray paints "NB" - short for "new blood" - while Eric Bischoff trash talks Hogan.

Jeff Jarrett guests on commentary for the next match.

Diamond Dallas Page beats Sting to face Jeff Jarrett for the vacant WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Spring Stampede. During the match, Jeff Jarrett leaves the commentary table and says something to Kimberly. As DDP attacks Jarrett and the referee is preoccupied with what is going on outside of the ring, Vampiro gets in the ring and attacks Sting from behind and hits him with Nail In The Coffin. DDP gets back in the ring and hits Sting with a Diamond Cutter to get the win. After the match, Jeff Jarrett tries to hit DDP with a guitar shot, but DDP ducks and Kimberly gets nailed instead. DDP chases Jarrett to the back, then checks on Kimberly.

Backstage, Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo and Jeff Jarrett celebrate their handiwork from earlier, then Jeff Jarrett heads back to the ring. He says that there are six days and counting until he realizes his destiny and shows who has all the stroke in WCW when he is crowned the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. He tells Diamond Dallas Page that if he wants to bring Kimberly along on Sunday, there will be a real man who can show him more wood. Diamond Dallas Page rushs into the ring and attacks Jarrett, then Scott Steiner gets in the ring only to get beaten up by DDP as well. Jarrett and Steiner gang up on DDP, but The Total Package runs into the ring and take down both them and anyone else who wants to fight them in the ring. DDP and The Total Package are outnumbered until Sting rushes into the ring and fights off everyone single-handedly. Sting is eventually overpowered by the new blood, however, and DDP falls victim to The Stroke. Russo and Bischoff then show up and show appreciation for what has just happened before shaking hands on the stage, then Bret "The Hit Man" Hart shows up and confronts both men to end the show.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for March 20, 2000

In footage from earlier today, Sid Vicious is seen arriving to the arena while greeted by throngs of fans.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sid Vicious in the ring to start tonight's show. Sid says the weight of the world is off his shoulders, and tells Jeff Jarrett he is not all that smart after spouting out of his mouth for the past few weeks that he would become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion, which did not happen. Sid then talks about a time when someone told him that you can take a pig and tie a purple ribbon around its neck, but the pig still a pig. He says that Jarrett is a pig and that he has shown him who the master, ruler and champion of the world is. Before the interview can continue, Jarrett shows up with The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris), and says he is not done with him by a long shot as everyone knows that he beat him three times in the past and that if it weren't for Hulk Hogan, he would be the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Jarrett demands another title shot, but knows that Sid will not give him one. He then proposes a tag team match, as he claims that Sid is scared of him and the ground that he walks on. He then says that if he beats Sid, he gets another title shot; if Sid beats him, however, he will never ask for another shot at the World title again. He then brings out his tag team partner for the tonight to show just what Sid is getting himself into: Scott Steiner, who is wearing a piece of tape saying "CENSORED" around his mouth. He removes the tape, then says WCW could not censor him, and tells Sid he will kick his ass tonight and there is nothing he can do it. Sid says he does not need a tag team partner to kick Jeff Jarrett or Scott Steiner's asses; however, it would not be hard to find somebody who would want to tag team with him as there are plenty of people who would want to plant a foot in their asses. Suddenly, Hulk Hogan's music hits, and Hogan shows up. Hogan says Sid "definitely rules the world" and that he knows about "the nWo chumps" out here as he was the baddest man in the nWo until he left the group. He says that Sid has carried the belt well and that he is the man who can get WCW back on track, and if he wants to have him as a partner, he would be glad to kick Jarrett and Scott Steiner's asses. Sid asks Hogan to team with him tonight and help him put an end to the nWo once and for all. Hogan tells Scott Steiner and Jarrett to get ready to have their asses kicked Hulkamaniac style.

Backstage, Team Package (The Total Package, Miss Elizabeth, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair) take offense to Vampiro wanting to take them on and get ready for the big time. The Total Package says he will give Vampiro a taste of the big time, while Flair will be taking Sting out as nobody knows Sting better. Flair says Vampiro made a big mistake last night and that he will fall to The Total Package, and that nobody knows Sting better than him and that Sting will fall at his hands tonight.

Chavo says that WCW held a Cruiserweight Championship tournament while he was out getting his finances straight, and asks how they could hold such a tournament without him in it. Chavo says he wants the belt and the money that goes along with it. He then asks if something nearby belongs to Okerlund, then swipes his wallet while Okerlund is distracted, then leaves.

Paisley and The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Iaukea guest on commentary for the next match.

Before the next match, "Hard Knox" Chris Candido tells everyone to take a good, long, hard look at "the greatest example of a pure professional wrestler in this sport today," as he does not have a gimmick, a ridiculous costume, a stupid catchphrase or a trashy valet, as he comes from the school of hard knocks and that he had to earn everything. As Candido talks about how he was once in a 10-on-1 handicap match, Lash Leroux dropkicks him in the back, starting the next match.

"Hard Knox" Chris Candido beats Lash Leroux in his debut match in WCW.

XS (Lenny Lane and Rave) see Miss Hancock backstage, and ask what she meant when she said that she found a couple of "real men." Miss Hancock says they will see this Wednesday night on Thunder, and that not only do the ladies due to the two studs she has in mind, but that XS could take some pointers from them. She then says that the two men in question are "Latin America's most desirable men, Los Fabulosos."

Before the next match, La Parka (through a dubbed voice heard throughout the arena) gives Fit Finley a chance to leave the ring before he "busts his Lucky Charms ass." It soon becomes apparent from La Parka's mannerisms as well as when La Parka begs Fit Finley off that somebody else is doing voiceovers for him.

Fit Finley beats La Parka. After the match, Fit Finley throws the microphone over to La Parka, and La Parka tosses it away.

Backstage, Booker asks Kidman to watch his back tonight.

Vampiro says there is a very fine line between pain and suffering and being weak. Vampiro says he is weak and that The Total Package has done it to him, and that he must now undo it. He tries to rip the cast off of his left arm and succeeds, and admits that it may not be the smartest thing he has ever done, he says that The Total Package is feeding the addiction and that he will cause some pain of his own.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews David Flair and Daffney in the ring. David Flair pulls a table out from underneath the ring and sets it up, then heads into the ring. David says he has just heard from the hospital that Crowbar and Bam Bam Bigelow is sharing a room and that there is one bed left. He demands that The Wall come to the ring so he can put him through a table right now. The Wall shows up, and Okerlund hightails it out of the ring. David Flair fights The Wall with a crowbar, but The Wall grabs him by the throat to say something to him. He lets David go, then attacks him from behind, gets him on the apron and tries to choke slam David through the table, which he does when Daffney spraying a fire extinguisher in his face proves completely ineffective. WCW and arena security immediately move into place to tell The Wall to go to the back as a trainer and referee Nick Patrick check on David Flair.

Brian Knobbs tells us not to do what we see on television at home.

The newest edition of WCW Magazine - with Terri Wilson as the centerfold - is now available at newsstands everywhere as of today.

Kidman and Booker beat The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) by disqualification after The Harris Boys use one of the tag team title belts as a weapon. After the match, Torrie Wilson jumps on one of The Harris Boys only to be thrown off, and Kidman makes the save with a steel chair. The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships.

Backstage, The Mamalukes (Johnny The Bull and Big Vito) demand that Disco Inferno give them a tag team title rematch, then decide to get it themselves as they feel Disco Inferno to be too unreliable.

Before the next match, The Total Package tells Vampiro that if he wants to step up to the major league, then tonight, he will go up against a 93 miles per hour fastball with a wiffle ball bat in his hands. He welcomes Vampiro to the major leagues, then tells him to "get [his] ass out here." When Vampiro shows up, however, he shows up from behind and sneak attacks The Total Package, getting the next match started.

The Total Package beats Vampiro. During the match, "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up and gets on the apron, but gets hit by a back elbow from Vampiro. As referee Mickey Jay is dealing with Flair, The Total Package hits Vampiro in the head with a bat and puts him in the Torture Rack for the win. After the match, Flair and The Total Package stomp Vampiro, then Sting runs in and makes the save for Vampiro, forcing Flair and The Total Package to run away.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Jeff Jarrett in The New World Order's dressing room. Jarrett says he has done it before and he will do it again, and after the night is over, he will walk out of the arena with a World title shot. He also says that if anyone thought last night was uncensored, then tonight will be truly uncensored. Scott Steiner says Okerlund is only happy becuase WCW tried to censor and suspend him, and says it is hard to keep a good man down and harder to keep a hard man down. He then tells Hogan that he only held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship while in The New World Order because he had guys like him watching his back. Scott Stiener then says that tonight, he will prove that he is the guy with the largest arms in the world and a genetic freak, and that he will kick Hogan's ass and that there is nothing Hogan can do about it.

We see more footage from over the weekend at A.J. Sports in Tallahassee, Florida as part of WCW Spring Break 2000. Riki Rachtmann announces that he will be on a webcast over at tnt.turner.com next Monday.

We see a performance by The Nitro Girls.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Dustin Rhodes. Dustin says he stuck a stake through Terry Funk's "vampire suckin' heart," and says that it is time to be out with the old and in with the new. He says that Curt Hennig might not be as hold as Terry Funk, as disgusting as Diamond Dallas Page, as desperate as "Rowdy" Roddy Piper or as laughable as Hulk Hogan, but he has made his list, and he will learn what it means to come face-to-face with "The American Nightmare" and bite the dust.

We see footage of Sid Vicious at a press conference following Uncensored in Miami, Florida. Sid says he has been dealing with Jeff Jarrett for some time and that anything he does does not surprise him at all. Sid says he does not know what next, but suddenly, Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart show up to congratulate Sid and announce that Sid is going to stay the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Someone in the crowd then asks Hogan if he thought "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair would get the better of him, and Hogan answers "Not without [Sid] watchin' my back."

Hugh Morrus beats "Screamin'" Norman Smiley. Shortly before Hugh Morrus gets the win, The Demon's music plays and The Demons hows up to check on Smiley. Morrus attacks The Demon and hits him with a powerslam before leaving.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Curt Hennig. Hennig says he has a certain respect for Dustin Rhodes, but if Dustin thinks that he will put his name on a list and destroy him, he has a problem. He says respect has been lost in this business, and he will make sure to earn it and deserve it from Dustin, as he is unbeatable.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund announces that Sid Vicious is meeting with Hulk Hogan in the former's dressing room to perfect their gameplan for their tag team match against Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner. He announces that the will be interviewing both men after the next match.

Curt Hennig beats Dustin Rhodes by disqualification after Dustin repeatedly smashes Hennig's injured arm into the guardrail. After the match, Dustin punches out referee Nick Patrick before taking a steel chair and attacking Hennig's arm with it. Hulk Hogan runs out and punches Dustin before chasing Dustin out with the steel chair.

Backstage, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sid Vicious. Sid tells Jeff Jarrett that he is not that smart and that the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is still around his waist. Jimmy Hart shows up, and Sid asks him to take every precaution to make sure nobody interferes in the match. Sid then says that Jarrett found out who the master and ruler of the world really is, and tells him to remember that for the rest of his life.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for March 13, 2000

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair apologizes to The Total Package for what happened Wednesday, and tells him he wants to "ride with Team Package." He then tells The Total Package that he will bring "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson to their camp.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair shows up. He says that he is in Providence, Rhode Island to make and prove a point, and tells The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth that he will stay true to his word, bring out "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson, have Anderson apologize to him and make him part of Team Package. Anderson shows up, and Flair reminds him and the world that there are 4,000 women wondering what will happen in Anderson does not apologize, that he has made it right for him for the past fifteen years, that The Horsemen are dead, and that the women still love them after all this time. Flair asks Anderson to join him as part of Team Package. Anderson says it would be easy and honorable to do just that after all they have done for each other, but The Four Horsemen are something that myth is made of and that they earned that privilege the old-fashioned way. He tells Flair that what he is doing with The Total Package is ego-driven and part of a road to destruction, and that he does not want to be caught in the middle. He would rather they separate as friends, or else their lives would constantly intertwine at different times. Anderson then tells Flair that in six days, he will have his hardest match yet, but Flair demands that Anderson get in the ring. Anderson says that Flair has always said he is the man, not Hulk Hogan, and calls Hulk Hogan out so he can talk to him. Hogan shows up, and Flair thinks that Anderson is turning his back on him for Hulkamania, and Anderson tells Hulk that for fifteen years, Flair has always said that he is the man and that they will find out who the man is in six days. He tells Hogan that he has a long road ahead of him, and tells Hulk Hogan that he is removing himself from the entire situation between Hogan and Flair. Anderson walks away, then Hogan tells Flair he has a problem now that Anderson is no longer watching his back after 20 years. He then says that when he straps his pythons on Flair, he will put an end to the myth of Ric Flair once and for all. He tells Flair that Providence, Rhode Island is Hulk Hogan country, and says that the fans don't want to wait to see them go at it at Uncensored. Hogan rips his shirt off and gets in the ring with Flair, whom he easily overpowers until The Total Package runs into the ring and hits Hogan in the back with a baseball bat. The Total Package continues to whack Hogan with the bat and Flair starts to smack Hogan with the weight belt, and referees get in the ring only to be quickly run out of the ring by Flair and the Total Package. The Wall then places Crowbar on a table, then choke slams David Flair into Crowbar and through the table that he set up at the beginning of the match.

Jeff Jarrett shows up with The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris), Midajah, Tylene and April. Midajah, Tylene and April are told to leave by The Harris Brothers, but Jarrett tells them not to send them to the back as they deserve to be by his side. He says that nobody will deprive the fans of what they have, as they want to flaunt what they have. Jarrett asks the fans if they want to see some skin, then tells them "fat chance" and that the only skin they will get is what they see when they look down the front of their shirts. He then sends the women to the back. Jarrett then talks about Uncensored and how he will become WCW World Heavyweight Champion, as he has proven three times that he is the better man. He then says Jarrett has never had his number and that he will not know it, and that the only number he should know is 911. As for The Harris Boys, he would rather beat them on his own, but it is not that hard to find a partner as anyone would want to beat their asses. He then says he already has someone who is interested in doing that tonight: Vampiro, who shows up. Sid then tells Jarrett that he and Vampiro will kick The Harris Boys' asses, then Vampiro dares Jarrett to interfere in the match.

Crowbar and David Flair are placed in an ambulance, and Bam Bam Bigelow tells The Wall that if he wants to break furniture and beat up people who can't defend themselves, then he will take him on at Uncensored.

Ever since he entered the business, he has always had something in common with Hennig, and tonight, they definitely have something in common. He tells Flair and The Total Package to saddle up, as they are about to see what they are all about as he continues to challenge Flair and The Total Package to a tag team match.

Backstage, Vampiro tells Jeff Jarrett it is easier to run and hide behind The Harris Boys (Ron and Don Harris0, but he cannot do it forever. He asked himself why he should have to enter the main event without a tag team partner, then says he does not have to as anybody in the locker room would be glad to team up with him in the ring. He asks for a tag team partner who will look Sid Vicious eye-to-eye and soften him up, because as Uncensored, he will become WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Hulk then says that the main priority in the Yapapi Indian Strap Match is having flexibility in the wrist that you are strapped to your opponent with, as when one is in the four corners of the battlefield, one must get the other person in the proper position to be whipped with the strap. When he gets Flair where he wants him, he will call to "the strapmaster" Jimmy Hart and ask for Yapapi punishment strap number one. As he straps Flair's body and Flair screams to the heavens for mercy as his flesh bubbles off his body, Flair will drop to his knees and apologize for crossing the line. Last week, he nearly broke his back, but Funk kept going. He says that this is because Funk is "an idiotic old fart" who cares about what the fans think. He calls the fans ungrateful, and says that the know-it-alls in the crowd make him sick. Since he says it is so hard to satisfy the crowd these days, he has given Terry Funk a chance to satisfy them, and he has brought some barbed wire so he can wrap it around his head and make him bleed. He then says that will not happen because the fans suck. Suddenly, Terry Funk shows up with a bag in his hand, and says he sees a chicken in the ring in the form of Dustin Rhodes. He says that Dustin is "an overbearing, fat, obnoxious egg sucking dog" like his father "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, then tells him he has something for him in the bag: his illegitimate baby brother and "Dusty's bastard child." He then pulls out a raw chicken wearing a diaper and throws it at him, then says that if Dustin wants a barbed wire match tonight, then they can have it if they both strap the barbed wire on. Jimmy uttered the word "Yappapi," and he knew that the answer was the Yappapi Indian Stretch Match. Hulk Hogan knows that he can box him in contractually, and corner him in. If they are bonded together with leather with nobody else in their way, Flair will understand what the Yappapi Indian Strap Match means as he is in pain. Hulk says he is calling Flair's bluff, and when he straps his wrist into Flair's, the leather will be Flair's last lfieline to the wrestling world and he will beat him to an inch to his life to prove that Flair will bow down to him for eternity.

Finley says they will cross that bridge when they come to it, but until then, they have to occupy themselves and make 3 Count's lives miserable by taking them on in a six-man tag team match on Thunder. Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 14, 2000

Jeff Jarrett shows up with The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) and a few women. When everyone gets in the ring, Jarrett sends the women to the back, and The Harris Brothers says that The New World Order is not dead and that everyone who gets in their way is. Jarrett says it is only six days before SuperBrawl 2000, when he gets what is coming to him: the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He says everyone in WCW has been trying to hold him down, but nobody can get the job done. He has named his own special guest referee, and the WCW executive board took him away; Jarrett says this is no problem for him. Jarrett then mentions Scott Hall getting a World title shot, but he made sure to hit him in the head with a guitar before the match was over. He also mentions WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash knocking him out of the #1 contender's slot, and he has proved within a shadow of a doubt that he is the greatest wrestler of all time. He tells Sid Vicious that they will be face-to-face at SuperBrawl 2000, and he will walk out WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Suddenly, Kevin Nash is seen on the video screen, and tells Jarrett that the only stroke he has is when he "goes back to his single-wide in Nashville [, Tennessee], puts on a Billy Squire 8-track tape. He says he is the Commissioner and he is here to govern. Jarrett says that he was made Commissioner, and that he liked that situation a whole lot better. The Harris Brothers grab ring announcer David Penzer and roll him into the ring, and Jarrett threatens to break Penzer's neck if the production crew does not cut off Kevin Nash's satellite feed. The satellite feed is cut off, and Penzer is let go. Jarrett says that since the commissioner is rid off, all the duties fall back on him. Jarrett then declares once again that he will become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion at SuperBrawl 2000. Before Jarrett's music hits, Kevin Nash's music hits instead, and Nash is seen in the arena being wheeled out by two women dressed like nurses as he holds an aluminum baseball bat in one hand and a microphone in the other. Nash says he knew he would pull something like what he just did. Jarrett says he will prove something at SuperBrawl 2000, but Nash says that while he has a baseball bat in his hand, his surgically reconstructed left foot will still fit up Jarrett's ass. Jarrett says Nash talks tough in a wheelchair, but he will prove it at SuperBrawl. Nash tells Jarrett that he made a match between Jarrett and Scott Hall to see who the #1 contender for the World title would be, and nobody won it. In fairness, he has made both Scott Hall and Jeff Jarrett #1 contenders, and they will both face Sid Vicious for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in a three-way dance at SuperBrawl. Jarrett says he does not care what Nash does, as he will walk out World champ. Nash warns Jarrett to take heed of his words, and tells him that he has been in rehab in town, and while tonight is a loaded show, he can make it better by putting Jeff Jarrett against Sid Vicious tonight in a non-title match so he can have Jarrett softened up for Scott Hall at SuperBrawl, and while Jarrett and Sid are beating each other up, he will be in the back playing with the nurses.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth are seen entering the arena together, while 3 Count (Evan Karagias, Shannon Moore, Shane Helms) is seen rehearsing. Meanwhile, "Screamin'" Norman Smiley is seen talking to Lenny Lane and Lodi (now known as Lane and Idol, respectively), who try to go the club to get out of teaming up with "Screamin' Norman Smiley against 3 Count. We then see Miss Hancock in a hallway.

"Screamin'" Norman Smiley and Lane beat 3 Count (Evan Karagias, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore). During the match, Miss Hancock shows up and she heads to the commentary table to put on a headset and announce that Lane and Idol do not know what they are missing after getting rid of her. Later on in the match, Nitro Girls dance music suddenly comes on, and Miss Hancock lets her hair down before dancing on the commentary table. Her dancing not only distracts Lane, but also 3 Count and referee Charles Robinson. This allows "Screamin'" Norman Smiley to win with the Norman Smiley to Evan Karagias.

Meng and Shane Douglas both take offense to Tank Abbott being called the toughest guy in pro wrestling.

Tank Abbott beats Ric Fuller by knockout in Fuller's first WCW match in eight months. During the match, Tank Abbott's former bodyguard Big Al is seen being escorted out of the arena by arena security.

We see footage of Mike Tenay interviews Tank Abbott. Abbott's best UFC memories consists of being the only true fighter out there and using his ability to achieve his goals of putting his opponents in the hospital. He says his win-loss record was only secondary, as he was only focused on hurting people. Abbott says that he gets his punching power from his 625 lb. bench press and spending years training in boxing gyms. He says that Big Al watched his back, and that Big Al has problems with him being in World Championship Wrestling to the point that he wants to have "a skins match" with him which he feels will happen at SuperBrawl. He says he does not know what is going with Big Al and that he would hand him the jacket on his back, but has heard that Big Al has said that he would take it off of him. The Skins Match will involve a leather jacket tied to the top of a pole, and he will take Big Al's head off before he takes the jacket down. Abbott says he has tunnel vision right now and is not focused on any long-term goals until he beats Big Al in the Skins Match at SuperBrawl.

There will be a title match, but it will be for Jarrett's WCW United States title, not Sid's World title. The New World Order (Jeff Jarrett, Ron Harris, Don Harris) is seen trashing their locker room. Meanwhile, WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash gets fed whipped cream by one nurse while having his pulse checked by the other, and Sid Vicious is watching everything go down on a monitor in his own dressing room before he laughs.

Since he is Hollywood, he knows acting, and says that Dustin Rhodes is a horrible actor. He makes fun of Dustin's life story before saying he will give him an acting and wrestling lesson as well as the old-fashioned beating his father should have given him.

Johnny The Bull is being comforted by a Catholic priest when Big Vito gets up off his stretcher and demands "Mean" Gene Okerlund show up as he has something to say. Disco Inferno also stands up from off his stretcher.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart. Hogan says he cannot think of a better place to bury a couple of odies than New York City. He will bury "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair somewhere on the outskirts of the Hudson River, and if The Total Package wants to get froggy, he will bury him, too. After what he saw happen with Terry Funk tonight, Flair and The Total Package are exactly the same, and tells Jimmy Hart to relax in his dressing room and watch him make Flair beg for mercy.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Booker. Booker says Stevie Ray has gone through litigation to take everything from him, and as far as his "Leave It To Beaver" music, it will be a constant reminder of how he is going to take Big T out of the game at SuperBrawl.

3 Count (Evan Karagias, Shannon Moore, Shane Helms) are in the ring. As they are in the ring, the music slows down at random points. At first, only Shannon and Shane notice, but soon even Evan notices, and then it alternates between speeding up and slowing down. It is then revealed that "Screamin'" Norman Smiley has commandered the music from the production truck. When Norman's music plays, Norman says "Now that's music!"

"Screamin'" Norman Smiley beats Evan Karagias. Former NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Danny Hodge is seen in the crowd cheering Smiley on after his win. After the match, Norman tells 3 Count that they have pushed his back against the wall and he is coming out fighting. He then challenges all three of them at once at SuperBrawl, where he says he will have lined up like Vegas showgirls before he does the big wiggles. He then says it's wiggle time in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

J. Biggs - now leads policemen into the locker room, telling them that Booker it in possession of some illegal contraband. The item in question is some sort of shirt.

The New World Order (Scott Steiner, Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, Ron Harris, Don Harris) show up along with a couple of women. The Harris Brothers say they are here to give a wake-up call to everyone in the back, as they are in the house. They tell everyone in the back to stay out of their way or they will get hurt, as they are the elite, and no matter how hard anyone tries, nobody will be able to get rid of them. Scott Steiner verbally craps on Tulsa, Oklahoma, then Midajah and Kim say that Scott Steiner is their Superman. Scott Steiner says that last week, he watched a 53-year-old man with more loose skin than a Sharpei puppy come out to the ring and say he is still the man. He says that Flair has been the butt end of all the jokes, and says Flair should have used his money to get a taxi and fixed his crooked, yellow teeth. He then asked himself "If WCW was going to hire Ric Flair, why wouldn't they hire Buddy Rogers?" He then says Flair's career is dead, but Flair is still stylin' and profilin', because Flair could steal Buddy Rogers' name, but not his class. He then says that just like him, the viewers at home changed the channel to watch WWF, because Flair and his friends got fired from there and Flair is "an old, jealous bastard." He tells Flair that there has never been a bigger "ass-kissin', butt-suckin' bastard" in the business and in life than him, and Flair belongs where he is at in WCW because WCW sucks and so does he. As for himself, he is just going to stay in the nWo for life. Jarrett then says that the nWo is in "slapnuts country," and since he is still Acting WCW Commissioner, he might as well get to work. He sends a message to Sid Vicious, saying he is not done with him yet. He has already hand-picked his referee, who will be referee Mark Johnson. He then adds a second stipulation for his match against Sid at SuperBrawl, and that the match is a no-disqualification match. At SuperBrawl, he will bring the World title back to the nWo and he proves that he has all the stroke around here. He has promised that Sid does not have to defend the World title against him, but until then, Sid will have to wrestle who he tells him to wrestle, and tonight, he will have to face Scott Hall in the main event tonight. Scott Hall does not like this, but Jarrett tells him he cleared him tonight, then tells Sid to be in good shape for SuperBrawl. He promises Sid that Hall will be "all up in [his] ass" tonight.

The Wall beats Booker. During the match, J. Biggs shows up with the two policeman, which distracts Booker to the point that The Wall beats Booker with the choke slam. J. Biggs has Booker arrested for assault and battery, cuplpable negligence, reckless endangerment and attempted murder.

An angry Brian Knobbs meets with The New World Order (Acting WCW Commissioner Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall, Scott Steiner, Ron Harris, Don Harris), confronting Jarrett for double-crossing him last week. Jarrett says that if Knobbs had more money, he would have been wrestling Fit Finley. He then asks Knobbs if he wants to finish it with Finley tonight, and says he can consider it done. When Knobbs leaves, the nWo votes to put Knobbs in a match with Bam Bam Bigelow.

Backstage, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson asks Terry Funk if he is going to go through tonight's match. Funk says a man has got to do what a man has got to do, and he wants to know where Anderson stands. Anderson says he will see how the match goes, and then he will tell him where he stands. He then announces that he is the General Manager of the WCW Women's Division. He says that women have no place in wrestling, and he has proved it time and time again, but some of them keep trying and trying and says "it's just adorable." He has decided to make it easy for these women and to look out for them. He plans to institute rigorous medical examinations for each and every woman on the roster, and he will be physically present for each and every examination. However, this is bad news for Medusa, and asks Dr. Heywood Jeter to come to the ring. Dr. Heywood Jeter shows up, and Oklahoma says he has discovered that Madusa is part of Dr. Jeter's clientele. Jeter admits he has done cosmetic work on Madusa's nose, eyes, lips, chest and buttocks. Oklahoma says that Madusa has no place in the women's division, saying she is not "a natural woman." Suddenly, Madusa shows up, and Oklahoma thinks that everyone is cheering for him. Madusa slaps Dr. Jeter and kicks him to the ground, then kicks Oklahoma in the gut that sends him out of the ring. She then breaks Oklahoma's clipboard on Dr. Jeter's head before kicking him in the groin. At this point, Oklahoma is getting out of the ring and heading to the back.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund announces that the WCW executive board has been in a closed-door session for a a couple of hours and that Terry Taylor is coming out of that meeting with big news that will be passed down to the fans shortly.

During the match, Funk tells "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair to come to the ring and get David as he proceeds to piledrive David into bare cement floor before piledriving him again through a table and threatening to break his neck. Funk gives Ric Flair fie more seconds to get to the ring, and when he does not shot, Funk calls Ric Flair "a filthy bastard" before saying he does not have any chickens like Ric Flair at his "chicken ranch." He then says he does not need to beat on David any more, and says he will quit tonight before saying he will not quit against Ric. He then calls Ric Flair a "banana-nosed, pig-eyed, lyin', cheatin' evil bastard."

After tonight, he says that what happened earlier was one beating David Flair did not have to take, and he almost wants to agree with Scott Steiner right now, which makes him want to puke. He also says Terry Funk did not have to make an example out of David, and Ric did not have to let it happen. He says that Ric is dancing around trying to be "The Nature Boy" when he should have ran into the ring to stop this. For the first time in his life, he is going to bow out of both Flair's life and the human race, as what he saw made him sick and he wants no part of it.

He says that he will get the last laugh, then calls out Jimmy Hart. Jimmy Hart shows up, and The Total Package gives Jimmy Hart credit for keeping the show running. Jimmy Hart tells The Total Package that if he wants info on Hulk Hogan, he asked the right person, as he is Hogan's best friend. He then calls The Total Package "a Hulk Hogan wanna-be" and that in his lifetime, he will never sell out as many arenas, sell as much merchandise, have as many fans, or earn as much money as Hogan has.
