Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for November 18, 2021

Brian Myers beats Sam Beale in the BTI match with two Roster Cuts. After the match, Myers pulls out two chairs from underneath the ring, then attacks Beale with one of them. He then hits Sam Beale with a Con-Chair-To. Rich Swann and Willie Mack run into the ring, and Brian Myers leaves with VSK and "Outlandish" Zicky Dice as Swann and Willie check on Sam Beale.

Steve Maclin beats Laredo Kid to enter the X Division title match at Turning Point.

Backstage, Rich Swann and Willie Mack are in the trainer's room. Rich Swann says that what Brian Myers did was despicable and not what leaders do. Swann challenges Myers to a match at Turning Point so he can hit him with a switch from the learning tree and show what a real leader does.

Backstage, we hear from Trey Miguel. He says Steve Maclin could not beat him last time and blamed other people for it, and somehow bitched enough about deserving to be in the X Division title match at Turning Point to get another shot. He says that he will stay champion after Turning Point.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews "Inevitable" Ace Austin and Madman Fulton. Austin says there is no reason to accept another match from Chris Sabin because he has beaten him already. Sabin shows up and says that Austin is supposed to be the future of the company, but cheats or relies on Fulton to win. He says that if Austin can beat him without cheating, all he needs to do is accept the challenge. Austin accepts only because Sabin wants a rematch so bad, then goes for a cheap shot. Sabin somehow fends Austin and Fulton off, and while Austin escapes, Sabin is able to trap Fulton in a storage closet.

The IInspiration (Jessica McKay and Cassie Lee) beat The Undead Bridesmaids (Kimber Lee and Brandi Lauren). After the match, Decay (Rosemary, Havok, Crazzy Steve, Black Taurus) shows up and surrounds The IInspiration in the ring, then Rosemary and Havok raise the Knockouts Tag Team Championships before Decay as a whole slowly slither out of the ring.

The Impact Plus Flashback Moment of the Week is Heath and Rhino vs. Reno Scum (Adam Thornstowe and Luster the Legend) from Victory Road 2020.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Chelsea Green and Matt Cardona. Chelsea says she knew she had to have the Digital Media Championship, and when she wants something, she gets it. Matt Cardona says he hopes Eddie Edwards does great at Turning Point, then says he came close to beating Moose. He then says that whoever wins at Turning Point, he wants the World Championship. W. Morrissey shows up and says that Matt Cardona is not going to get a title shot because he is in his way. Cardona takes this as a challenge and says he will see him at Turning Point.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Eddie Edwards. Eddie says it has been a long time coming and that the history he and Moose has makes their match sweeter. Suddenly, Eddie is attacked from behind by Moose. The brawl soon makes its way to the stage and down the ramp, where Moose slams Eddie into the ring apron with a uranagi followed by a powerbomb. Moose then pulls out a table from underneath the ring and sets it up, but Eddie grabs a chair and hits Moose with it. Moose soon has the chair, and he puts Eddie's head through it before sending Eddie into the ring post. Eddie manages to avoid a shot from another chair and free himself, then hits Moose in the back with the chair in the ring. After a few more chair shots, Eddie hits a Tiger Driver '97 followed by a Boston Knee Party. Moose ends up lying on the same table he set up, but Eddie reaches underneath the ring and pulls out a ladder. He throws a chair at Moose, then sets up the ladder and climbs all the way up, but Moose is able to get up and escape. Backstage, Moose says that if Eddie Edwards wants to come at him and wants to think he is evil, he should see what he is capable of at Turning Point. Scott D'Amore shows up and says that Moose cannot leave well enough alone, and announces that Moose and Eddie Edwards' match will be a Full Metal Mayhem Match.

Backstage, we hear from Mercedes Martinez, who says that mutual respect ended when she dropped Mickie James on her head. She tells Mickie James not to turn her back on her, then says she is here to dominate Impact Wrestling and that in two days, she will take Mickie out and begin her legacy.

"The Big LG" Doc Gallows beats Hikuleo after "Machine Gun" Karl Anderson is able to distract Chris Bey and El Phantasmo by distracting the referee.

Backstage, Gia Miller interviews Deonna Purrazzo and Matthew Rehwoldt. Purrazzo says she has been at home and other places in the last month. When asked when she will return, Purrazzo says she does not know. She also says that nobody deserves an explanation for her disappearance or anything from her, for she is a two-time Knockouts Champion and she can analyze her mistakes moving forward. Purrazzo then says that everyone will have to wait to see what her next moves are before she and Rehwoldt leave.

Backstage, we hear from FinJuice (Juice Robinson and David Finlay). David Finlay says that their time in Las Vegas, Nevada has not been kind to them and that they have lost their recent tag team title shots. Juice Robinson says they have lost before and can do it again. Scott D'Amore shows up and says that he knows they have hit a rough patch and need to find their focus again, and at Turning Point, they will face Decay and show what FinJuice is all about.

We hear from Eric Young, who asks what freedom is and what it it like to truly be free. He says that Rhino was free when he was pure and knowledgeable of the truth and that he was a part of something special, but he made a choice with ramifications he is not ready for. He then says that Heath and Rhino want Violent By Design (Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner) at Turning Point, an event name he finds apt, because it will be when he builds a monument of violence on their backs. He tells Rhino to understand that he made the wrong choice, and at Turning Point, he will end everything between them forever.

Decay (Crazzy Steve and Black Taurus) and The Demon beat Johnny Swinger, Hernandez and Fallah Bahh with a sleeper from The Demon to Johnny Swinger.

Backstage, John E. Bravo checks on Johnny Swinger, but Swinger feels like he has hit rock bottom. Suddenly, Rosemary and Havok teleport in, and John E. Bravo says he just wants Swinger to be happy after all he has done for him. Rosemary says she can make that happen for a price: his sweet virgin blood.

Backstage, we hear form Jordynne Grace and Rachael Ellering. Jordynne says that while she respects Chelsea Green, she is Digital Media Champion for a reason. Ellering mentions Jordynne's other Impact accolades, then Jordynne says Chelsea could not get it done and can't do it again now. We then hear from Mickie James, who says that she respected Mercedes Martinez for a long time and thought she was helping a friend. She says she will not make that mistake again, and tells "the original OG" to prepare for an "original ass whuppin'."

"The Walking Weapon" Josh Alexander beats Minoru Suzuki.

Backstage, Decay invites The Influence (Kaleb and Madison Rayne) and the staff of the former Swinger's Palace to Wrestle House 2, which starts next week.

Nitro-Glycerin - Monday Nitro recap for February 14, 2000

Jeff Jarrett shows up with The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) and a few women. When everyone gets in the ring, Jarrett sends the women to the back, and The Harris Brothers says that The New World Order is not dead and that everyone who gets in their way is. Jarrett says it is only six days before SuperBrawl 2000, when he gets what is coming to him: the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. He says everyone in WCW has been trying to hold him down, but nobody can get the job done. He has named his own special guest referee, and the WCW executive board took him away; Jarrett says this is no problem for him. Jarrett then mentions Scott Hall getting a World title shot, but he made sure to hit him in the head with a guitar before the match was over. He also mentions WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash knocking him out of the #1 contender's slot, and he has proved within a shadow of a doubt that he is the greatest wrestler of all time. He tells Sid Vicious that they will be face-to-face at SuperBrawl 2000, and he will walk out WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Suddenly, Kevin Nash is seen on the video screen, and tells Jarrett that the only stroke he has is when he "goes back to his single-wide in Nashville [, Tennessee], puts on a Billy Squire 8-track tape. He says he is the Commissioner and he is here to govern. Jarrett says that he was made Commissioner, and that he liked that situation a whole lot better. The Harris Brothers grab ring announcer David Penzer and roll him into the ring, and Jarrett threatens to break Penzer's neck if the production crew does not cut off Kevin Nash's satellite feed. The satellite feed is cut off, and Penzer is let go. Jarrett says that since the commissioner is rid off, all the duties fall back on him. Jarrett then declares once again that he will become the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion at SuperBrawl 2000. Before Jarrett's music hits, Kevin Nash's music hits instead, and Nash is seen in the arena being wheeled out by two women dressed like nurses as he holds an aluminum baseball bat in one hand and a microphone in the other. Nash says he knew he would pull something like what he just did. Jarrett says he will prove something at SuperBrawl 2000, but Nash says that while he has a baseball bat in his hand, his surgically reconstructed left foot will still fit up Jarrett's ass. Jarrett says Nash talks tough in a wheelchair, but he will prove it at SuperBrawl. Nash tells Jarrett that he made a match between Jarrett and Scott Hall to see who the #1 contender for the World title would be, and nobody won it. In fairness, he has made both Scott Hall and Jeff Jarrett #1 contenders, and they will both face Sid Vicious for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in a three-way dance at SuperBrawl. Jarrett says he does not care what Nash does, as he will walk out World champ. Nash warns Jarrett to take heed of his words, and tells him that he has been in rehab in town, and while tonight is a loaded show, he can make it better by putting Jeff Jarrett against Sid Vicious tonight in a non-title match so he can have Jarrett softened up for Scott Hall at SuperBrawl, and while Jarrett and Sid are beating each other up, he will be in the back playing with the nurses.

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair, The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth are seen entering the arena together, while 3 Count (Evan Karagias, Shannon Moore, Shane Helms) is seen rehearsing. Meanwhile, "Screamin'" Norman Smiley is seen talking to Lenny Lane and Lodi (now known as Lane and Idol, respectively), who try to go the club to get out of teaming up with "Screamin' Norman Smiley against 3 Count. We then see Miss Hancock in a hallway.

"Screamin'" Norman Smiley and Lane beat 3 Count (Evan Karagias, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore). During the match, Miss Hancock shows up and she heads to the commentary table to put on a headset and announce that Lane and Idol do not know what they are missing after getting rid of her. Later on in the match, Nitro Girls dance music suddenly comes on, and Miss Hancock lets her hair down before dancing on the commentary table. Her dancing not only distracts Lane, but also 3 Count and referee Charles Robinson. This allows "Screamin'" Norman Smiley to win with the Norman Smiley to Evan Karagias.

Meng and Shane Douglas both take offense to Tank Abbott being called the toughest guy in pro wrestling.

Tank Abbott beats Ric Fuller by knockout in Fuller's first WCW match in eight months. During the match, Tank Abbott's former bodyguard Big Al is seen being escorted out of the arena by arena security.

We see footage of Mike Tenay interviews Tank Abbott. Abbott's best UFC memories consists of being the only true fighter out there and using his ability to achieve his goals of putting his opponents in the hospital. He says his win-loss record was only secondary, as he was only focused on hurting people. Abbott says that he gets his punching power from his 625 lb. bench press and spending years training in boxing gyms. He says that Big Al watched his back, and that Big Al has problems with him being in World Championship Wrestling to the point that he wants to have "a skins match" with him which he feels will happen at SuperBrawl. He says he does not know what is going with Big Al and that he would hand him the jacket on his back, but has heard that Big Al has said that he would take it off of him. The Skins Match will involve a leather jacket tied to the top of a pole, and he will take Big Al's head off before he takes the jacket down. Abbott says he has tunnel vision right now and is not focused on any long-term goals until he beats Big Al in the Skins Match at SuperBrawl.

Backstage, Jeff Jarrett is on the phone with WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash, demanding that his match with Sid Vicious tonight be for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Paisley and The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Iaukea. Paisley says that The Artist "has chosen to enrich our lives by gracing us with his own words." Iaukea says he likes to watch, and tells Psychosis his eyes are on him. He asks Psychosis if he feels the quiver of excitement for their clash Wednesday night on Thunder, and says he will make him his next hit.

La Parka and The Artist Formerly Known As Prince Iaukea beat Kidman and Vampiro. During the match, Kidman has to stop a catfight between Torrie Wilson and Paisley, which leaves Vampiro irritated with Kidman when he is not able to tmake the right away. As a result, Vampiro walks away from the match and leaves Kidman high and dry.

WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash is seen on the phone backstage. He tells the WCW Executive Committee to make Jeff Jarrett vs. Sid Vicious tonight for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship.

Backstage, Big Vito tells Disco Inferno that he and Big Vito just want to see the family and get a cheese sandwich, but Disco has something for them: a surprise family gathering complete with a wedding reception.

Big Vito catches up on things with his sister, and gives her enough money for a down payment on the house.

Before the next match, Oklahoma shows up and thanks the fans for the warm greeting, then says it is time to kick the WCW women's division off full title before re-introducing Mona and Rhonda "Monster Ripper" Sing. He then says that he got a lot of heat and came on too strong with Madusa and was not fair to her, and says he will make up for it by starting Madusa in a new role tonight as a special guest referee. Oklahoma then guests on commentary for the match.

Rhonda "Monster Ripper" Sing beast Mona after Sing knocks down special guest referee Madusa after Madusa kicks Sing's hands away from Oklahoma, who is grabbing on to Sing to counter a sunset flip from Mona. Oklahoma then gets in the ring as Madusa is down and makes the pinfall. Sing kisses Oklahoma after the match.

At the wedding reception backstage, Big Vito introduces Disco Inferno to his family. Big Vito's grandma tells him not to spit during his match tonight.

Jeff Jarrett tells The New World Order (Scott Steiner, Ron Harris, Don Harris) that he has a title shot tonight and that it will be announced shortly.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair backstage. He says his match with Hulk Hogan is not a big match, and that he is just an obstacle he will walk over tonight. As for Terry Funk, The Total Package will break him in two, and he and The Total Package will be stylin' and profilin'. He tells Hulk Hogan to "bring the yellow and rad to The Nature Boy."

Terry Funk beats The Total Package by disqualification after The Total Package brings in his steel chair. After the match, "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson runs out and takes the chair away before WCW security The Total Package and Miss Elizabeth out of the ring.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund announces that the WCW Executive Committee has made a ruling and that WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash has news regarding Jeff Jarrett vs. Sid Vicious. There will be a title match, but it will be for Jarrett's WCW United States title, not Sid's World title. The New World Order (Jeff Jarrett, Ron Harris, Don Harris) is seen trashing their locker room. Meanwhile, WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash gets fed whipped cream by one nurse while having his pulse checked by the other, and Sid Vicious is watching everything go down on a monitor in his own dressing room before he laughs.

At the wedding reception backstage, the bouquet is tossed and is caught by Daffney. Crowbar and David Flair then show up and crash the reception, attacking Big Vito and Johnny The Bull before destroying the cake.

Disco Inferno guests on commentary for the next match after The Mamalukes (Johnny The Bull and Big Vito) attack David Flair and Crowbar before the match can begin.

The Mamalukes (Johnny The Big and Big Vito) retain the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Harlem Heat (Stevie Ray and Big T) and the team of David Flair and Crowbar after David Flair hits Big T in the back with the crowbar and Big Vito gets the pinfall with an inside cradle. After the match, Harlem T attack The Mamalukes, and not even Disco Inferno can help The Mamalukes out without getting hit with an assisted Slapjack. Big T then hits both of The Mamalukes with a Tiger Bomb. As Harlem Heat leave, David Flair and Crowbar attack The Mamalukes with crowbars and metal pipes until WCW security and referees run into the ring to restore order. David Flair, Crowbar and Daffney leave, then EMTs bring out a stretcher for The Mamalukes and Disco Inferno while Big Vito's family watches in agony.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Chris "Champagne" Kanyon. Kanyon says the real mecca is Hollywood, not New York, and he is Hollywood His movies do not go direct-to-video and into flea market discount bins; his go to the big screen, and Ready To Rumble. is coming to theaters on April 4th. Since he is Hollywood, he knows acting, and says that Dustin Rhodes is a horrible actor. He makes fun of Dustin's life story before saying he will give him an acting and wrestling lesson as well as the old-fashioned beating his father should have given him.

Johnny The Bull is being comforted by a Catholic priest when Big Vito gets up off his stretcher and demands "Mean" Gene Okerlund show up as he has something to say. Disco Inferno also stands up from off his stretcher.

Bam Bam Bigelow retains the WCW Hardcore Championship against The Wall. After the match, Bigelow is attacked from behind by rian Knobbs, who is still wearing a cast on his right hand. The Wall then gets up and choke slams Bigelow as Brian Knobbs leaves.

Backstage at the reception, "Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews The Mamalukes (Johnny The Bull and Big Vito) and Disco Inferno. Disco says David Flair and Crowbar have a lot to pay, and that nobody will ever treat them like they just got treated tonight. Big Vito says New York City is their hometown, and that The Mamalukes are challenging David Flair and Crowbar to a Stretcher Match at SuperBrawl.

Before the next match, Chris "Champagne" Kanyon - accompanied by two of the Nitro Girls dressed in Valentine's Day-inspired outfits - says a lot of people claim to be Hollywood, but are not, and says he is Hollywood. His promo is cut short when Dustin Rhodes attempts a schoolboy pin.

Dustin Rhodes beats Chris "Champagne" Kanyon. During the match, Kanyon chases referee Billy Silverman around the ring for stopping him from using a steel chair shortly after the beginning of the match only to be clotheslined by Dustin, who eventually hits Kanyon with Shattered Dreams.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Hulk Hogan and Jimmy Hart. Hogan says he cannot think of a better place to bury a couple of odies than New York City. He will bury "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair somewhere on the outskirts of the Hudson River, and if The Total Package wants to get froggy, he will bury him, too. After what he saw happen with Terry Funk tonight, Flair and The Total Package are exactly the same, and tells Jimmy Hart to relax in his dressing room and watch him make Flair beg for mercy.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Booker. Booker says Stevie Ray has gone through litigation to take everything from him, and as far as his "Leave It To Beaver" music, it will be a constant reminder of how he is going to take Big T out of the game at SuperBrawl.

Booker T beats The Demon.

Hulk Hogan beats "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair by disqualification. During the match, Flair uses an illegal object, and when Jimmy Hart runs to the ring to tell referee Nick Patrick what has happened, Flair punches him off the apron. Flair then hits an elbow drop on Hogan, but Hogan kicks out. Hogan hulks up and hits the leg drop, then The Total Package shows up and attacks Hogan. Jimmy Hart gets back in the ring and grabs Miss Elizabeth, but The Total Package attacks him and stomps on his broken arm. Terry Funk shows up with a steel chair, but The Total Package grabs the chair and whacks Funk in the back with it. Meanwhile, Hogan starts fighting back and takes on Flair and The Total Package at the same time. Hogan forces the two of them to retreat, and forces Miss Elizabeth to do the same before she can attack him with a baseball bat. Afterwards, Flair is chopping Funk in the aisle. Hogan celebrates in the ring, then The Total Package runs back into the ring with a baseball bat in his hands. When Hogan turns around, The Total Package hits Hogan in the head with the bat before putting a steel chair around Hogan's left arm and stomping on it, injuring Hogan's left wrist. The Total Package then repeatedly whacks Hogan with the baseball bat before WCW security eject Luger out of the ring.

"Mean" Gene Okerlund interviews Sid Vicious. Sid says everything Jeff Jarrett has tried to do to him has backfired, and Jarrett is asking for something he does not want. He has never held two belts at once, and he says tonight will be the night Jarrett will bow down for he owns both him and Scott Hall and he is the master and ruler of the world.

WCW Commissioner Kevin Nash is seen talking on the phone with somebody.

Jeff Jarrett retains the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Sid Vicious. During the match, referee Mickey Jay gets in the way of Sid's power bomb, and Jarrett takes advantage of the inadvertent blinding to hit Sid with the United States title. When Sid kicks out, Jarrett argues with Mickey Jay before punching him and hitting him with The Stroke. Jarrett then kicks Mickey Jay out of the ring, but when he goes for The Stroke on Sid, Sid puts him in a crossface, and Jarrett taps out despite Mickey Jay being knocked out. The Harris Brothers (Ron and Don Harris) get in the ring and gang up on Sid, then Jarrett leaves the ring and returns with his guitars. Sid knocks down The Harris Brothers with a double clothesline, then Jarrett whacks Sid in the head with his guitar. Referee Mark Johnson runs into the ring to count the pinfall.
