Backstage, we hear from "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, who says that things have been changing in AAA lately, yet the one thing that continues to stay the same is him holding the AAA Mega Championship. He says that one man is heading to the main event of TripleMania and only one man will be remembered forever as the King of the Luchadors.

Backstage, Psycho Clown says he will be putting Los Psycho Circus (Psycho Clown, Monster Clown, Murder Clown, Dave the Clown) back together.

Rey Fenix retains the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Laredo Kid and Lince Dorado in a Triple Threat Match.

AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio is interviewed backstage. He congratulates Rey Fenix for his victory tonight, then announces that AAA is negotiating with the General Managers of Raw, SmackDown and NXT for possible collaborations, including an NXT title defense in AAA where Lola Vice defends the NXT Women's Championship against La Hiedra on next week's main event. On the subject of bringing outside talent to AAA, Mysterio lets it slip that AAA is very close to bringing in a former WWE world champion who has never wrestled in AAA, and that this former chapion is very excited to do this, AAA has yet to seal the deal. Rey promises more information next week.

El Grande Americano II - now just El Grande Americano - heads to the ring. El Grande Americano talks about how he beat El Grande Americano I - now just Chad Gable - and demonstrated the force of AAA and lucha libre as well as the power and the pride of Mexican culture. He says that he did not do it alone, and that he had help from his friends and his people, such as comedian Ojitos de Huevos, who always believed in him with heart even though he had never seen him with his eyes. He also thanks Pimpinela Escarlata, who reminded him every day what lucha libre means: passion, heart and pride. El Grande Americano then thanks Andrea Bazarte, who never forgot to think about him when thinks got difficult and was always by his side. He says that he will always fight for her, because he loves her. He then thanks the fans and the people of Mexico for lifting him up when he was down and always being by his side, which he will never forget. El Grande Americano declares that his victory at Noche de Los Grandes is for all of them, then wonders what it is in store for him next. He says that he won Rey de Reyes and the mask of El Grande Americano I, and now, he wants the AAA Mega Championship, and with that, he wants "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio. All of a sudden, Karmen Petrovic suddenly shows up on the stage and walks to the bottom of the ramp dressed in all black. Suddenly, four more people clad in black - Daga, Angel, Berto, and Bronco Nima - surround El Grande Americano, and Bronco Nima is the first to strike as Petrovic gets in the ring. All four men attack El Grande Americano, and despite his best efforts, El Grande Americano is outnumbered and outpowered. Everyone then takes their jackets off to reveal shirts with the words "Perros del Mal" printed on them, and Petrovic hits the last shot on El Grande Americano to end the show.

Good Lucha Things - Lucha Libre AAA recap for May 23, 2026

The locker room lines the ring (with "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio watching from the back) as Jesus Zuniga. Filip CEO Barbara Gonzalez Briseno; luchadors Chessman, Texano Jr. and Cibernetico; AAA President Marisela Pena and Dorian Roldan are in the ring. After a video where it is explained that AAA has entered a new era and that the future of AAA starts now, AAA President Marisela Pena takes the podium. She says that for more than 30 years, AAA has been family-run, and today is a new chapter for the future of the company. She says that the new General Manager is a visionary and a leader who understands the heart of wrestling, as well as a man who has been respected all over the year and defines a generation. She says that he will take AAA to a new era, and that it is an honor to announce the new General Manager of Lucha Libre AAA, who turns out to be Rey Mysterio. Dorian Roldan is flustered, and "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio - who is still watching from the back - is absolutely livid. Rey Mysterio talks about how he found a new family over 30 years in AAA and how he is now returning as a General Manager. He says that together, he and the fans will make history and take the company to another level, then gets the next match underway: Rey Fenix vs. Laredo Kid for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship. (Savio Vega replaces Rey Mysterio on commentary from this point forward.)

Laredo Kid retains the AAA Cruiseweight Championship against Rey Fenix after feigning injury to hit Fenix with a low blow behind the referee's back.

Backstage, Laredo Kid is met by General Manager Rey Mysterio, who confronts him for how he beat Rey Fenix and announces that next week, he will face Rey Fenix for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship again.

In footage from last night, we see the serenado for El Grande Americano II.

Los Americanos Hermanos (Julio and Bruto Credo) vs. Los Americanos (Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano) in a tornado tag match ends in a no-contest. During the match, El Grande Americano I shows up and attacks Los Americanos, then El Grande Americano II shows up and attacks Los Americanos Hermanos with a metal folding chair until El Grande Americano I confronts him. El Grande Americano I leaves the ring when El Grande Americano II dares him to punch him, and El Grande Americano II says that El Grande Americano I wants to be the real El Grande Americano, even though he will never understand lucha libre, and for that, he is and will always be "a shorty." This leads to another confrontation between the two El Grande Americanos, and El Grande Americano I gets back in the ring, takes off his jacket and reveals a shirt with Andrea Bazarte, who is not only an interviewer in AAA, but also El Grande Americano II's girlfriend. Los Americanos Hermanos and Los Americanos have to hold their respective man back, but it all ends in vain when both men finally brawl. Numerous officials have to rush into the ring and restore order, and General Manager Rey Mysterio shows up and states that despite the no-physicality clause being broken, next week's mask vs. mask match will go as planned. Both El Grande Americanos brawl, with the locker room emptying to help out officials as the show comes to an end.

The show ends with a video package chronicling the story between El Grande Americano I and El Grande Americano II and the events leading up to next week's mask vs. mask match.

Good Lucha Things - Lucha Libre AAA recap for May 2, 2026

Dorian Roldan speaks with Omos and El Hijo del Vikingo. He has just received a phone call, and tells Vikingo that Penta only cheat to beat him, and that Vikingo has a match with El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. for the AAA Latin American Championship on May 30th. Vikingo calls El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. "a nepo baby" and says that he loves his plan, and calls El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. and his family "trash." He says that El Ojo (Dorian Roldan, Vikingo, Omos) are family, and that Roldan will make a great General Manager while he makes a great champion. Vikingo then tells Roldan that twenty minutes is all it will take to become champion and wipe him out. When Vikingo leaves, El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. shows up and asks Roldan what he knows about family. He walks off as Roldan holds Omos back.

Mini Vikingo beats El Hijo del Vikingo. During the match, El Hijo del Vikingo removes a turnbuckle cover, and soon after Mini Vikingo sends Vikingo into the exposed turnbuckle, Vikingo launches Mini Vikingo into referee Felix Fernandez as he replaces the turnbuckle cover, knocking Fernandez out cold and out of the ring. Neither man can get a cover due to the referee being knocked out. Eventually, Vikingo grabs a chair, but he is stopped by El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., who takes the chair away from Vikingo and hits him with it before hitting him with a Wagner Driver into the chair. Mini Vikingo then goes up top and hits a Phoenix Splash from the top rope and gets the pin and the win. After the match, Omos runs down the ramp and attacks both Mini Vikingo and El Hijo del Dr. Wagner, Jr., and he throws Mini Vikingo into the ring post before beating up Wagner. All of a sudden, Galeno - El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr.'s brother - shows up with a chair and attacks Omos, and he and Wagner double-team Omos and clothesline him out of the ring.

Rey Fenix beats Laredo Kid after Laredo mocks Fenix with a "Cero Miedo" taunt at the top rope in reference to Fenix's brother Penta. After the match, Fenix offers to shake Laredo Kid's hand, but Laredo bumps into Fenix as he storms out of the ring.

We see a video package of the recent events involving Pagano and Los Psycho Circus (Psycho Clown, Panic Clown, Murder Clown, Dave the Clown), as well as the attacks on Panic Clown, Murder Clown and Dave the Clown.

Security is in the ring as Dorian Roldan and interviewer Andrea Bazante are in the ring for the contract signing between El Grande Americano I and El Grande Americano II in a mask vs. mask match. El Grande Americano II heads to the ring first, followed by El Grande Americano I. Dorian Roldan says that his family has always presented the best matches in the history of lucha libre, and mask vs. mask matches are the most sacred, with the loser having to unmask and reveal their identity to all of Mexico. As Roldan declares that it is time to sign the contract, El Grande Americano I produces a document from out of his suit jacket and hands it to Dorian Roldan. The document is from El Grande Americano I's attorney, which states that he will not face El Grande Americano II unless his demands are met. The document demands a no-contact clause, and if the clause is violated, the match is off and the attacker would be forced to unmask. El Grande Americano II signs the contract, and demands El Grande Americano I do the same. Roldan states that with El Grande Americano II's signature, El Grande Americano II has agreed to the no-contact clause. Roldan also announces that El Grande Americano I has demanded that presents Andrea Bazante must leave AAA for "being the aggressor" in the attack on Ojitos de Huevo three weeks ago. As this goes on, both El Grande Americanos argue with each other, and El Grande Americano I dares El Grande Americano II to hit him, and Bazante says that if this is required for El Grande Americano II to take El Grande Americano I's mask, then so be it. Bazante leaves the ring and is escorted to the back by security, and El Grande Americano II is fuming as El Grande Americano I signs the contract before throwing the pen in his face and rolling out of the ring. El Grande Americano II tells El Grande Americano I that he has no idea what he has done, then he is attacked from behind by The Creed Brothers (Julius and Brutus Creed), who slam him through the table in the ring. Los Americanos (Rayo Americano and Bravo Americano) chase The Creed Brothers out of the ring, but the damage is already done.

He says that El Hijo del Vikingo has been betrayed by his people, by his company and by the entire town, and that Vikingo is the best wrestler pound-for-pound. El Hijo del Vikingo calls Mini Vikingo "a stupid fool" for getting involved in his match and says he has no idea what he has gotten himself into. He says that he put Mini Vikingo in the hospital and left his mother crying, then says that next time, he will want to give his mother a lot of tissues, as he will send him to the morgue. He then says that Puebla has the best wrestlers, yet the people of the city have not given him respect, and therefore, he will leave Puebla, and the people will miss him, as he will go where the AAA fans cannot go - WWE and WrestleMania - because he will be going for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Vikingo says he has seen Penta in the back with "his stupid little dance," then calls him out so he can accept his challenge. Penta shows up and heads to the ring, then asks Vikingo if he is really coming for his title before stating that Vikingo was a great wrestler when he left AAA but is now hanging with people who ruin everything they touch. He tells Vikingo to learn to pronounce "Intercontinental" first, then says that everyone in Puebla hates Vikingo. He says that Vikingo needs to learn respect, as he does not have the respect of the city of Puebla or even his own mother, then reminds him that he was Vikingo was fighting for a position in AAA when he left, and now, he is going to bust him open. Penta tells Vikingo that he has his match, and Vikingo proposes they fight for the Intercontinental title on April 11th in Mexico City. He says TNA is "Trick-NA" and that he will show up where and when he wants, and makes it clear that he will take everything from Joe Hendry.

Mance Warner beats Bryce Hansen. After the match, Steph de Lancer welcomes everyone to the "Mance and de Lancer" era, then says they never lost the Digital Media title and that they are still champions, and that they are watching Steve Maclin. She says that when Mance Warner hits the pay window, the International Championship is coming home with him.

We hear from Rosemary, who proclaims that Xia Brookside had it in her all along and that it took a big push due to her strong willpower, then says it was only a matter of time before the darkness took over and that there is one last step. They ask if Brookside is ready to absorb the darkness and become part of the shadows in one last test.

Before the next match, Robert Stone says he has some good news and bad news. The bad news is that Tessa Blanchard has a case of TMJ due to Arianna Grace injuring here, and Tessa cannot compete. However, Victoria Crawford will be replacing here. The good news is that there are three rules: this match cannot go over ten minutes, he has assigned Alisha Edwards - who has suddenly shown up with the three of them - as a special guest enforcer in case something happens to Jimmy Korderas, and the Cobra is officially banned for this match. Should Director of Authority Santino Marella whip out the Cobra, he will officially take over his job.

Robert Stone and Victoria Crawford beat Santino Marella and Arianna Grace (who make history by being the first father-daughter tag team in a TNA match). During the match, Robert Stone pulls special guest referee Jimmy Korderas out of the ring, then blames it on Santino Marella before shoving Korderas into Santino. He may not be 100%, but he will prove they are unbreakable . Masha says Tessa is trying to do more than break her; she is trying to take everything from her after spitting on the place that built her. She says Tessa has done everything to get under her skin and it worked, but she made the mistake of thinking making her angry makes her break. Dani Luna beats Jakara Jackson.

Elijah is in the ring for a concert. He says that "In TNA, we walk this way," then mocks Frankie Kazarian and "All Ego" Ethan Page while also referencing his friendship with Joe Hendry in his lone musical number. Before the next match, Cody Deaner says it is great to have TNA Wrestling back in Orlando, Florida, and that he never expected to wrestle in Full Sail University. He says his personal life of being a father of four was great, which leads to a "He's got kids!" chant, but his professional life was not as great until he put it in the hands of the people, and since then, he has had more fun in professional wrestling than ever. After Cody Deaner says he will enjoy beating JDC tonight, JDC says nobody cares about his kids, to which the fans chant "Yes, we do!", then says he only cares about tonight's steel cage match and tells Deaner to be a man and take the loss. He says that he can handle the pressure, but states that Santana cannot. Santana says he has lived pressure his entire life in trying to be the face of his family and since he walked back into TNA, and he has beaten some of its best since then. Mustafa says Santana does not really know pressure through adversity and failure and that he does not really care about TNA, and says Santana is a liability and an addict, not a leader. Santana says Mustafa is "full of shit" and that everyone is on to him, from the fans to the locker room, and that everyone knows Mustafa is here for his own self-gain. He also has accepted his addiction for a long time, but he is now an addict for TNA and for being true to himself. He also has accepted his addiction for a long time, but he is now an addict for TNA and for being true to himself. He also says that he has shown to all the other addicts out there that it is possible to hit the bottom and rise. Santana tells Mustafa that at Sacrifice, his hands had better cash those checks. Mustafa admits he admires Santana's, then says there is too much tension and pulls out a bottle of wine as a gesture. He then says Santana will lose, face adversity, then fall back off the wagon and let everyone down and break his daughter's heart. Santana attacks Mustafa, but Mustafa gets the upper hand when Tasha Steelz gets in the way. When Santana is down on the ground, he pours some wine from the bottle in a glass and leaves it for Santana when he wakes up. Mustafa and his cabinet leave, then Santana sees the glass.

Their opponents are Laredo Kid and Cody Deaner, who tells Hotch and Skyler to shut their mouths and that it would be a great idea for them to punch the two of them right in the mouth, yet it is the people's choice whether or not they do it. Not surprisingly, the fans want Cody and Laredo Kid to punch them in the mouth, and Skyler and Hotch get punched in the mouth.

Suddenly, Frankie Kazarian shows up and says the only throne Santana will be sitting on is "a dirty toilet somewhere in The Bronx" and that if anyone will sit on the throne, it is him. He congratulates Santana on beating Moose, but it is not as impressive to him as winning the Call Your Shot Trophy. Santana says Kazarian and the trophy smell like "straight up douchebag" and that Kazarian has a shortcut while everyone else has had to scratch and claw their way to the top spot, then puts "The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth on notice, saying there is a real contender in line, unlike "this scrub" Frankie Kazarian, and says he will have no problem cracking Kazarian over the head with his trophy. Kazarian says he would love to send Santana back to the streets that he came from right now, but he has prior obligations and will be facing Rhino tonight before stating he will keeping an eye on the World title match at Turning Point. Santana then says that he does not have a match for Turning Point yet, and Kazarian says he is taking that night off. Santana says he will make a match between the two of them official for Turning Point so he can whup his all over the building. This leads to a "Whup that ass!" chant from the fans before Santana wishes Kazarian luck against Rhino, tells Kazarian there is no more running, and throws his microphone into the Call Your Shot Gauntlet Trophy before Rhino heads to the ring to face Kazarian.

Frankie Kazarian beats Rhino after putting his feet on the bottom rope for leverage. After the match, Rhino hits Kazarian with a Gore.

Steve Maclin is drinking at a bar and speaking with the woman tending bar. Maclin leaves and leaves a tip before Eric Young shows up, and by the time Eric is at the bar, Maclin is in a hotel room. Maclin watches the news and is reminded of his past, and he sits on the bed briefly. As he takes a shower, he is reminded of his past again, and he looks at photos of his time in the military. Maclin then writes a letter before speeding a sleepless night on the bed. Images from his past pop up again, and he is suddenly in a recruiter's office. The recruiter places his badge on the desk before it is revealed that Eric is the recruiter. Another Eric Young sits to the right of Maclin, and the first Eric asks Maclin where he is before Maclin says "Sort of," and notices the second Eric is gone. The setting changes as Maclin says he is here because of loss, and when asked what he has lost, Maclin says "time." Eric says torture is time and that time is all we have, and Maclin also says that Eric reminds him of someone. Eric Young then wants to know if Maclin can really trust him, then tells Maclin to wake up. Maclin is back in the hotel room, where he is awoken by a knock on the door. Eric Young is at the other end when Maclin opens it.

Leon Slater and Laredo Kid beat The System (Moose and JDC) with a La Magistral Cradle from Slater to JDC. After the match, JDC attacks Leon Slater, as does Moose. Moose powerbombs Slater in the middle of the ring before JDC hits Down 'n Dirty. Suddenly, Laredo Kid hits JDC with a chair from behind, then hits Moose with it.

Joe Hendry heads to the ring. Hendry says Thanksgiving is around the corner and that there is a lot for him to be thankful for this year, due to the unprecedented journey and accomplishments that he and the fans have been on and the fans believing in him. Hendry then says that he cannot let it go, and that the goal is to become TNA World Champion. He says that at Turning Point, he will be in a Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl match, and while he should be standing as World Champion, he could be standing in a turkey costume. He says the World title is the richest title in the game and is worth the humiliation, and that he will get one step closer to becoming World Champion. Hendry says that when you have a dream, you go all the way and chase it in order to achieve it, as anything is possible when you believe.

Backstage, we hear from "The Wanted Man" Nic Nemeth, who is focused on Eddie Edwards at Turning Point. He knows he will be facing all of The System (Eddie Edwards, Alisha Edwards, Brian Myers, Moose, JDC) in that match, but he is a fighting champion who will do what it takes to retain. He tells Eddie to enjoy his Thanksgiving dinner, as all he cares about is power that he will not be able to take away from him when he does what he does best: steal the show and stay World Champion.

Savannah evans beats Brittany Jade.

Backstage, Masha Slamovich is met by Jordynne Grace, who is not surprised that Masha would beat Alisha Edwards. Masha says she loves to take every opportunity to prove who the better woman is, and says they should leave no doubt with a two-out-of-three falls match at Turning Point. Jordynne loves the idea.

Trent Seven, Hammerstone and Jake Something beat The Hardys (Jeff and Matt Hardy) and "Inevitable" Ace Austin in a six-man tag match after Trent Seven hits Ace Austin with a low blow. After the match, Hammerstone and Jake Something go on the attack, but KUSHIDA and The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) rush into the ring, causing them and Trent Seven to retreat.
