Mike DeRudder meets with Harlem Lewis. The two of them exercise at Lewis' house, and Lewis notes that while he is usually the one pushing other people to their limits, DeRudder was the one pushing him.
Matt Bloom meets with Booker T, Bubba Ray Dudley and Kevin Owens. Booker T gets Chantel Monroe - who has been out two months with a broken nose from training - versus Bayley Humphrey, who will be the babyface for the match. Booker T says that Bayley is just starting to come out of her shell. Bubba Ray gets Nathan Cranton vs. Tate Wilder. Cranton needs to work on aggressiveness in offense, flair and selling, while Wilder needs to be able to tell a story in the ring. Kevin Owens gets Harlem Lewis vs. Mike DeRudder, and Matt Bloom wants whatever they do for their match to make sense.
Nathan Cranton and Bayley Humphrey talk about their matches. The two of them work a love story angle live at the Performance Center, where Bayley is a dominant female and Nathan is more of a pretty boy, and the angle ends up working out. Bayley also mentions that her mother is coming to see her wrestle at the Performance Center. Meanwhile, we hear from Chantel Monroe, who has to wear a mask in order to protect her nose in the ring, which she has bedazzled with jewels to keep it from looking ugly.
Booker T meets with Bayley and Chantel and gives them some hints for their match. Bayley says that she has to fire up as a babyface, and both Bayley and Chantel are looking forward to working with each other. Bayley's mom shows up before the match.
Bayley Humphrey beats Chantel Monroe. After the match, Booker T is impressed with their match as Bayley was able to work from the bottom as a babyface against Chantel, who showed aggressiveness as a heel. Chantel says she is trying to get back to a place where she can get her confidence back, and knew that Bayley would get that out of her. Matt Bloom gives props to both women, and says that Chantel played the heel so well that it would bring the babyface out of Bayley. Bayley says that the match that she and Chantel had are along the kind of matches that she likes, then we see Bayley talk about the match with her mother.
Bubba Ray Dudley meets with Tate Wilder and Nathan Cranton. Bubba wants Cranton to show intent that he wants to hurt Wilder and get a natural reaction for Wilder, and wants them both to show emotion with both their fists and their body language. Cranton feels that he needs to show more viciousness due to his good looks, or else he will come off as soft. Bubba Ray says that it is not about doing a lot of moves, and that while the fans will react to motion, they will react more to emotion.
Tate Wilder beats Nathan Cranton. Bubba Ray says that the two of them had a very good match and that the crowd was behind them, and that the only thing needing improving was Cranton spending a little more time beating down Wilder before the bell.
Kevin Owens meets with Mike DeRudder and Harlem Lewis. Owens leaves both men free to come up with ideas for the match and give advice when necessary, especially when it comes to making a leg injury during the match mean more. Harlem looks forward to going to war with DeRudder in their match.
Harlem Lewis beats Mike DeRudder. Mike Bloom notes the lack of a sell during the flip to the outside, and mentions that DeRudder needs to find out how to get the crowd to love or hate him, as the crowd will eventually stop reacting to his athleticism. Kevin Owens says that despite DeRudder's talent, he can see him having difficulty handling feedback. Nevertheless, DeRudder looks forward to improving as a WWE Superstar.
