He asks the crowd to get Cezar a round of applause, and says Cezar belongs in The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O'Reilly). Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish hand Cezar Bononi an Undisputed Era shirt, but when Cezar looks at it, Adam Cole hits Cezar with a cheap shot.

Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega show up. Zelina Vega calls Almas the greatest champion in NXT history as she introduces him, and says that Johnny Gargano brought his family only to see him lose four times in a clean sweep. Almas says that Johnny Gargano tried to beat him to become NXT Champion again and again only to lose, because he is the best. Almas then brags that he made "Johnny Wrestling" into "Johnny Jobless." Vega asks Almas what that makes, and Almas says that makes him champion. As Vega and Almas leave, however, they are soon met by Aleister Black. Before Aleister can speak, Killian Dain also appears. Killian Dain yells that Aleister Black is in his path, and both men brawl in the ring. Dain hits The Divide, then Almas and Vega leave before Dain says "Not anymore."

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown Live recap for February 27, 2018

John Cena shows up to start tonight's show. Cena says he is here for the same reason as 99.9% of the SmackDown Live locker room, save for "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura: to find a road to WrestleMania. He announces that he wants in the Fatal 5-Way Match for the WWE Championship at Fastlane, and that he is here to do whatever it takes to earn a spot, not to get a hand-out. He is ready to figure out what he has to do. Suddenly, Commissioner Shane McMahon shows up. Shane welcomes Cena back, and says that while everyone is looking for their role in WrestleMania, the pathway he is proposing is putting him directly into the WWE Championship match. The crowd responds, and Cena says half want him to win and half want him to lose. Should Cena win, he would go on to not only main event WrestleMania, but also go in as a 17-time world champion. Shane says SmackDown Live is the land of opportunity, but before he can say much more, General Manager Daniel Bryan shows up. Daniel Bryan says everyone is on the same page, as SmackDown Live is the land of opportunity and everyone in the WWE Championship match earned an opportunity to get in. Daniel Bryan says Cena will get his opportunity, and if he wins, he is in. When Cena asks who his opponent is, Daniel Bryan says it is someone he is familiar with: the WWE Champion, "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles.

Kevin Owens guests on commentary for the next match.

Baron Corbin beats Sami Zayn. Backstage during the match, Commissioner Shane McMahon tells General Manager Daniel Bryan that Kevin Owens on commentary will lead to interference, but Daniel Bryan says there is no reason for Owens to interfere in the match. Later on in the match, Shane McMahon comes back with popcorn, and Daniel Bryan says that Kevin Owens has been interesting on commentary. Later still, Dolph Ziggler comes out of the crowd and superkicks Kevin Owens in the back of the head, distracting Sami Zayn and allowing Baron Corbin to hit End of Days for the win. After the match, Ziggler hits the Zig Zag on Corbin. After the match, Shane offers Daniel Bryan popcorn before telling him that Kevin Owens got what was coming to him and that he should go check on him. Daniel Bryan says no thanks, then tells Shane he is heading home.

Backstage, Sami Zayn wants to know what is going with Dolph Ziggler from Kevin Owens when Commissioner Shane McMahon shows up with popcorn. Shane tells them Daniel Bryan just left and they should catch up, as Brie doesn't like it when they are late for dinner. Shane leaves, and Sami is left fuming.

Ruby Riott beats Naomi. Carmella is seen answering Twitter questions on her phone during the match after the show comes back from commercial break. After the match, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch get in the ring to clear it of The Riott Squad.

Backstage, Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) meets Josh Duhamel...and so does The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) in a promotion for Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. which also sees The New Day make a Supa Hot Fire reference. Unsolved premieres tonight at 10 PM Eastern on USA Network.

We look back on Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens' Festival of Friendship from last February, courtesy of Progressive Auto Insurance.

The New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods) show up. Xavier Woods says The New Day is looking for a road to WrestleMania, but Kofi Kingston says that at Fastlane, they will be facing The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Big E says their rivalry is hotter than the inside of his thighs in both the summer and winter. He then repeatedly asked to be spritzed with perfume, and is spritzed. Xavier Woods says they want the tag team titles, and Kofi says that while they respect The Usos, it is all about winning and making their way to WrestleMania. The Usos then show up, saying The New Day are at it again. They remind The New Day that the last time they met for the blue brand tag titles, they were the ones who came out on top and they have not looked back since. They admit they used to be singing and dancing and looking like Skittles like The New Day did, but it got them nowhere, and that they have been proving they are worthy of being at WrestleMania while The New Day have been dancing. Year after year for nine years, they have been passed over, having been sidelined and off the main card. The Usos say that this year will be their time. The Usos state that they will be in the game while The New Day will be on the sidelines this year, but Big E says The New Day have been at the top where they belong and busting their chops all the while. Big E also reminds them that they rushed the field and took what was theirs, and that their fathers didn't get them there. He tells The Usos that they will become five-time tag team champions, and there is nothing they can do about it. Just as both teams get in each others' faces, The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan) show up. Harper and Rowan stand on the apron, and The New Day and The Usos both clear the ring before they get in.

We see footage from earlier today where Rusev and Aiden English meet up with Commissioner Shane McMahon, demanding they be on the show tonight. Shane puts Aiden English in a match with "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura.

We hear from Dolph Ziggler, who says that he did not come back to be lost in the shuffle. He is the best athlete SmackDown Live has ever seen, and at Fastlane, he plans to rise above the rest and make his way to WrestleMania.

Renee Young interviews Bobby Roode. For the very first time, he is excited, as he wants to be the best United States Champion in history. To do that, he must put himself against the best, and Randy Orton is one of the best of all time. As he talks about Randy's beef with him as of late, Randy shows up. Randy says it's not about the SmackDown Top 10 List, it's about the United States title, which he has never laid his hands on. The only reason he has anything against Roode is that he has to go through him to take it.

Aiden English verbally trashes Los Angeles, California through song before the next match.

"The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura beats Aiden English. After the match, John Cena shows up. Cena points at the WrestleMania sign, as does Nakamura, then Cena gets in the ring for his match.

YouTube Superstar Lilly Singh is seen in the front row.

John Cena beats "The Artist" Shinsuke Nakamura, turning the Fatal 5-Way for the WWE Championship at Fastlane into a Six-Pac Challenge. Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler are seen watching the match backstage. After the match, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin take the boots to John Cena, then Dolph Ziggler shows up to fight them all off. Ziggler then punches out AJ Styles only to get hit with an Attitude Adjustment to end the show.

Raw Deal - Raw recap for February 26, 2018

Alexa Bliss and Mickie James show up to start tonight's show. Alexa says that last night was a historic moment, and that she somehow amazes herself having retained the Raw Women's title last night. She says she defied the odds and set a new standard, and says her victories will be talked about for years to come. After saying that people will call last night the night that Alexa changed the game then, now and forever, she gives credit where credit is due to Mickie James. She admits they have had their difference, but Alexa says she has so learned so much from her and that the rest of the locker room can, too. She then says Absolution (Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville) is good, but not good enough to be champion, and calls Bayley "a sad situation." As for Sasha Banks, she capitalized on her massive ego, and says this is her year, not Sasha's, as she goes on to WrestleMania. Alexa points at the sign and admits she enjoys doing it, but the feeling is nothing compared to breaking Asuka's arm. She knows Nia Jax wants to get her hands on Asuka again, but Asuka will regret winning last night as she will finish the job. Suddenly, Asuka shows up and walks straight to the ring. Alexa says she finds it really funny that Asuka walked out like she was healthy, but she is not fooling anybody after how Nia Jax crushed her. She says that Nia Jax deserved to be in the Raw Women's title match, but after one slip-up, it was all over. Alexa then says Asuka's English is not great, but her body language is saying very differently. She then tells Asuka to wipe the smile off her face before "she" does. "She" ends up being Nia Jax. As Nia shows up, Asuka kicks both Alexa and Mickie in the face, but Nia Jax bowls her over. Nia goes for a choke bomb, but Asuka makes it a triangle hold. Alexa and Mickie get back in the ring and stomp Asuka, but Sasha Banks and Bayley fight them off. Asuka tries to fight off Nia Jax again, but Alexa lays Asuka out with a big right hand before she and Nia Jax leave.

Bayley, Sasha Banks and Asuka beat Alexa Bliss, Nia Jax and Mickie James. During the match, Bayley drops down from the apron after Sasha Banks tries to tag her in following how Sasha booted her from the top of the pod last night at Elimination Chamber, and Sasha has to tag in Asuka to get the win. Bayley gets back in the ring, but only to hit the Belly-to-Bayley on Alexa.

John Cena shows up. Cena admits that last night, he failed, and in the moment of failure, he was thrown in front of a microphone and made to be felt demoralized. He says failure is tough, and is something you go through alone. He knows where he is at, and that a person's character is put to the test when their back is against the wall. For him, that time is now. He spent five minutes feeling sorry for himself, and from then, he began to move forward. He said he would figure out his road to WrestleMania after failing at Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. For five minutes, he thought it was over. He says the most difficult failure is admitting to it, because once it happens, the disappoint is on the one who admits it. Cena says he thrives on failure, and says the two choices are either staying down and getting up. He says he has gotten up, and now he is going to do something he should have done a long time ago: put out a WrestleMania challenge to The Undertaker. The crowd goes absolutely insane before Cena says there have been nine WrestleManias between them and they have never met in a match at the grandest stage of them all. He then says that match is not happening. Cena says he does not make the matches, and that he has been told the match is impossible. He then says the fans understand the disappointment of failure, but he has gotten back up. He plans to go to SmackDown Live tomorrow night to do whatever it takes for a WrestleMania match.

Tomorrow night on Mixed Match Challenge: Finn Balor and Sasha Banks vs. The Miz and Asuka!

Bray Wyatt decimates Heath Slater before their match can begin, and Rhyno is also laid out by Bray in the process. Afterwards, Bray Wyatt says "Look what you made me do! You made me hurt these innocent men...this is your fault, Matt Hardy! You led them to slaughter! The Great War is far from over, my friend. You...will...face me again...you will face me again, but this time...I will make sure your woken eyes stay shut forever!" Bray then laughs. He then tells Matt that he is coming for him, and that he should run.

The Miztourage (The Miz, Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel) shows up. The Miz says they are 45 minutes away from Los Angeles, California, but instead, they are in Anaheim, California, which he calls "a bonafide suburb." He says that General Manager Kurt Angle takes his stars for granted, and in 62 days, he will be the longest-reigning and greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. Miz then says as big as he is in the WWE, he is even bigger in Hollywood with his roles in the Marine franchise and his reality show Miz and Mrs. with Maryse. Miz then says he is treated like any other Superstars despite his accolades, and complains that he has no merchandise and that his face is not even on pay-per-views. He then says he should be taking on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania to become a dual champion. Unfortunately, Miz feels that he was made to start the men's Elimination Chamber Match with two men who did not deserve to be there, and says he was punished for winning his qualifying match with ease. He is tired of the disrespect, and says his dream will live on at WrestleMania, for he has the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He tells the fans to take a look at it, for it is WWE's most prestigious title. Since he has the title, he has been wanting to know what the Intercontinental Champion is doing at WrestleMania. He is then told that his opponent might determine who he faces at WrestleMania. Miz says he has held the title and Raw itself on his back for the past year, and that he has been in the WWE for 12 years. He is irritated that "might" is all he is getting. He then wants to know who his opponent is. His opponent is none other than Seth Rollins.

Seth Rollins beats The Miz with a top rope frog splash three-quarters of the way across the ring. After the match, Finn Balor shows up before Seth Rollins leaves.

Finn Balor beats The Miz by disqualification after The Miztourage (Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel) attack Finn...almost. Gallows & Anderson (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson) run in and fight The Miztourage, then General Manager Kurt Angle appears on the TitanTron. He announces that The Miztourage and Gallows & Anderson will be ejected. He then announces that there must be a winner or The Miz will not go to WrestleMania.

Finn Balor beats The Miz. After the match, Renee Young interviews Seth Rollins backstage, saying Finn Balor is trying to be the man by upstaging him, but Seth says his 65-minute performance last week is how you do it. Seth goes on to say there is more than one road to WrestleMania, and he knows how to pave the way. He wants The Miz and the WWE Intercontinental Championship, and he wants them both at WrestleMania.

We look back to last April when Braun Strowman destroyed the ring with a Superplex on Big Show, courtesy of Progressive Auto Insurance.

WrestleMania is 41 days away!

Roman Reigns shows up. Roman says he is a man of his word, and says he would win the men's Elimination Chamber Match...and he did. Roman says that when he says he is going to WrestleMania and beat Brock Lesnar, he is telling the truth. Roman says that "truth" is a funny word, then says that Brock Lesnar is not here tonight. He says that up until 30 minutes ago, he thought Brock would be here, but he knows he is not. He then calls Brock Lesnar "an entitled piece of crap who hides behind his contract." He is incensed that Lesnar is not here and that he was taking pictures on social media with Dana White while in Las Vegas, Nevada, and says he does not respect him, the fans or the locker room. Roman says everyone in the back is sick of it. Roman says he and the guys in the back show up every night and bust their asses, while Brock only shows up when the time and city is right. Roman says that when he will be somewhere, he will be there. Roman expects Paul Heyman and Lesnar to say they are businessmen, but he was born in the business and he knows the difference between business and respect. He does not respect Lesnar, and he "damn sure don't fear that bitch." Roman says he's said all he has to say, and that he is going to the back and getting the chewing out he deserves, because he cares about the WWE. Roman then heads up the ramp to the back.

We hear from Braun Strowman. He is tired of Elias' "noise pollution," and tonight, he is going to compose a symphony of destruction that he says will be a smash hit.

WWE celebrates Black History Month by showing the Superstars' trip to the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, Tennessee and its exhibit on the Montgomery, Alabama bus boycott.

Sheamus and Cesaro retain the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships against Titus Worldwide (Titus O'Neil and Apollo). Sheamus and Cesaro get the first fall after Sheamus hits Titus O'Neil with a Brogue Kick at the very start of the match, then get the second after a double-team Irish Curse backbreaker. Charly Caruso interviews Sheamus and Cesaro after the match. Sheamus says he and Cesaro had Titus Worldwide's number, and it was zero. Cesaro then says two men walk into The Bar, then Sheamus says nobody walks into them and gets up. They brag about the teams they have beaten, then Cesaro says Dean Ambrose got up, but his arm didn't. They also imply that Jason Jordan is a nobody. Sheamus then goes on to say that he and Cesaro will be punished at WrestleMania because they are so dominant, and asks who there is to face when there is nobody left to beat. Cesaro says that is to be expected, as they do not set the bar, they are the bar.

Jarrius "JJ" Robertson, a double liver transplant survivor, longtime WWE fan and liver cancer and liver transplant advocate, will be the recipient of the 2018 Warrior Award at the WWE Hall of Fame 2018.

Before the next match, Elias says that him being in the ring is the feeling of greatness. He admits Elimination Chamber did not go as planned, but he has gone down many roads and his road to WrestleMania will not be derailed. Elias then says he was not going to treat himself to a performance and focus on his match tonight, but then he heard that Braun Strowman called his music "noise pollution." He says Strowman criticized him because he wants to be him, and he is everything people want to be. He then calls what Strowman did two weeks ago, every word that Corey Graves says and what the fans say in the crowd "noise pollution," then proceeds to play guitar and sing. Elias proceeds to sing about Braun Strowman and compare him to the crowd when Braun Strowman shows up.

Braun Strowman beats Elias by disqualification after Elias spray Braun in the face with a fire extinguisher. After the match, Elias smacks the fire extinguisher into Braun Strowman's gut, but Braun grabs Elias by the throat. Elias breaks out of the choke slam, but Braun swats Elias with a right hand before Elias gets away. Braun eventually regains some of his vision, and hits Elias in the back as he runs up the ramp. When Braun gets his hands on Elias again, he takes him to the commentary table and goes for the running powerslam, but Elias rakes his eyes and runs to the back. Braun Strowman chases Elias into the backstage area, but Elias gets away as a limousine pulls into the arena. Braun yells "I'm not finished with you!" before walking away.

Next week: Asuka vs. Nia Jax!

WWE COO Triple H and Raw Commissioner and WWE Chief Brand Officer Stephanie McMahon show up. Stephanie says that last night was supposed to be a great moment for WWE when Ronda Rousey was being signed, but it went worse when Kurt Angle said what he did, which she blames on illness. She also goes on to say that Ronda Rousey's actions towards her and Triple H were uncalled for. After a video package of what happened last night, Stephanie says that Rousey acted out of "savage instinct," and that she had to speak her language to get to her. She then says that Rousey reports to her and the WWE owns Rousey since she signed the contract. Stephanie calls for all parties responsible for last night to be in the ring, and asks for General Manager Kurt Angle to show up. Instead of getting Angle, she and Triple H get Ronda Rousey. Angle shows up to stop Rousey. Angle asks Ronda Rousey to hear him out, and tells her that her coming to WWE is the best decision she ever made. Rousey says she meant everything that she said last night, and wants this more than anything. However, she has never been slapped before in her life. She refuses to be disrespected, and she is nobody's property. Angle tells her wrestling is a different world from MMA and that she has to work within the system, and that he needs his General Manager job. He has to do what he has to do, and tells Rousey he lied last night. He says that he misheard Stephanie and Triple H and that he does not know what he said last night, and anything that he said about them was not true. He apologizes to Rousey, Stephanie and Triple H. Stephanie thanks Angle, then asks for everyone to put last night behind them. Triple H and Stephanie are about to leave, but Ronda address last night's slap and demands Stephanie apologize to her or else she will rip her arm out of its socket. Stephanie walks up to Ronda and apologizes aggressively and profusely before welcoming Ronda to the WWE, then Triple H punches Angle in the face.

Layin' da SmackDown - SmackDown Live recap for February 20, 2018

Renee Young interviews "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles to start tonight's show. Styles says he is in control of his own destiny, and that he can beat any man who steps into the ring with him. He says that might sound cocky, but he has backed that statement up his whole life. As he admits the Fatal 5-Way is a huge problem, he shows Renee Young around the ring as he says that anybody can win at any time. Even though he can take on Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler individually, it will be a lot harder to win when they're all in the ring in one time. As AJ Styles names off the opposition, he is about to mention Baron Corbin when Corbin shows up. Corbin tells Styles that if he thinks he can beat him, then he will stop him before he makes a fool out of himself. He reminds Styles that he beat him the last time they were in the ring for the United States title and the title rematch. He tells Styles he has his number because there is a major difference between them: Styles is an athlete, while he is a fighter, and he will enjoy pinning him - or someone else - for the WWE Championship as there is nothing he can do about it. Suddenly, Kevin Owens shows up. Owens says he is sick of hearing Styles and Corbin, and says he will shut them up. He tells Styles he won't have to worry about running around at Fastlane, as he will put him through the commentary table. He also says Baron Corbin looked like "a scared little cub" instead of "The Lone Wolf" when he was laid out, but Corbin reminds Owens he dropped him like "the little punk" that he is. Owens says Commissioner Shane McMahon gave him an opportunity on a silver platter due to Shane's vendetta against him, and says he has had to scratch and claw for every opportunity he has gotten on SmackDown Live. AJ Styles says Owens looks great, and asks if he has gotten "that boil" Sami Zayn off his back. Owens says he does not need Sami Zayn, as he had all the time to prepare and he still lost. As Owens says he would have beaten Baron Corbin if he had time to prepare, Shane McMahon shows up. Shane says there is a lot of talk emanating from the ring, but the crowd is not here for talk; they are here for action. He announces that Baron Corbin will face AJ Styles in the main event, while Kevin Owens will be in the ring right now against Dolph Ziggler. Owens is livid.

Jinder says Roode broke the cardinal rule of voting himself #1, and says that Randy Orton's name is not even on the list. He says that Roode feels he ranks higher than Orton and fancies himself "the new legend killer," and that while he seems to respect everything Orton has ever done, Roode is "a glorious egomaniac and an inglorious liar." Roode shows up, and tells Jinder that he has no idea what that was, but that was not his list. However, he has a secret on Jinder: Jinder cannot make a top ten list, and that he wants to be United States Champion so bad that he is driving a wedge between him and Orton. He says he is doing all this to make him look over his shoulder so he doesn't get attacked, but in a fair fight, Jinder knows he cannot win. The crowd chants "You can't win!" Jinder admits he wants to be United States Champion, and wants Roode to admit he thinks he is better than Randy Orton. Roode says he never said that, or that he fancies himself "the new legend killer." Jinder then implies that Roode is scared of Orton, but Roode tells Jinder he is not scared of him. Jinder says he should be as he beat Orton, but Roode tells Jinder to forget about Orton as this is between the two of them. As both Jinder and Roode are about to stare down, Orton shows up. Orton and Roode speak to each other, then Orton knocks Jinder out of the ring while Roode knocks Sunil Singh to the outside. Orton almost RKO's Roode, but Roode pushes back and hits him with the Glorious DDT. Roode's music then hits just as Jinder slides back into the ring to hit Roode with the Khalass.

He then says doing what is right is looking out for him, and that they need to turn Commissioner Shane McMahon's plan against him. Sami tells Owens that they will take everyone else out at Fastlane, then he will do the right thing and lay down for Owens so he can become WWE Champion and move on to WrestleMania. Sami then hugs a conflicted Owens.

The New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) beats Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable to face The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Fastlane. After the match, The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan) show up. Harper and Rowan then get in the ring for their match, which is next.

The Bludgeon Brothers (Harper and Rowan) quickly beat Eduardo Especial and Norville Rogers.

We hear from Ruby Riott, who tells Naomi that if she wants to try her luck next week, she will knock her lights out. She also says she hasn't forgotten about Charlotte Flair, and tells her to bring the SmackDown Women's title if she wants her at Fastlane. Riott then says that cracks are forming in Charlotte's "perfect little world," and that said world will be crashing down.

We hear from Baron Corbin, who says that people call him cocky, arrogant and smug. He says he is ruthless, heartless, and better than "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles, as he will become the new WWE Champion.

Ruby Riott vs. Charlotte Flair for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship is now official for Fastlane, as is Randy Orton vs. Bobby Roode for the WWE United States Championship.

Unlike him, however, they cannot beat Brock Lesnar, and it is his time and he can beat him. He plans to win and go on to WrestleMania. When Braun shows up, he chases Miz into the crowd, grabs him and proceeds to slowly decimate him. After the match, Charly Caruso interviews Braun Strowman, who says he does not fear the unknown; instead, the unknown fears him. He says that like tonight, the Elimination Chamber will be the same, and he will come for Brock Lesnar. Strowman then tells Charly Caruso he has some unfinished business to attend to, and runs back into the ring, dragging Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel into the ring as they try to drag Miz out. Bo and Axel easily fall victim to running powerslams, then Braun Strowman chases Miz all the way to the back.
