"The Machine" Brian Cage quickly beats Hunter Law.

In Mississauga, Ontario, Canada for Destiny World Wrestling, "Reborn" Matt Sydal retains the Impact Grand Championship against Petey Williams after countering the Canadian Destroyer into a piledriver. It is a proclamation from his spiritual adviser: on March 8 at Crossroads, he will face Taiji Ishimori for the Impact X-Division Championship.

Jimmy Jacobs says he and Kongo Kong did want to be any louder or clearer, but Joseph Park forced them to take it as far as they did. He says that tonight is the night that Abyss will walk down the ramp and get in the ring against Kongo Kong.

Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong show up. Jimmy says he does not care what other people think of him, but he is a good guy, not a bad guy. He says he politely asked Joseph Park to bring out Abyss, and that they did not want to decimate Chandler Park, but Joseph Park forced their hand. Jimmy then says he is done talking to Joseph Park, and that he is now going to talk to Abyss, and asks where Abyss is. All of a sudden, an old woman shows up, and she is immediately identified as Grandma Jenny. She immediately calls them "sissies," and says she has had enough of how they have treated his grandson Joseph Park, whom she says is like a son to her. She tells Jimmy to "stop [his] habit or else." Jimmy gives her credit for having more guts than Joseph, but says he asked for Abyss and not "some old hag." This immediately earns Jimmy a slap in the face, which leads to Jimmy sicking Kongo Kong on her. Suddenly, Joseph Park shows up and confronts Jimmy, then gives Grandma Jenny belated thanks for the Thanksgiving dinner. Jimmy tells Joseph he asked for Abyss, not for him. Joseph tells him one more time that Abyss is never coming after all that Abyss has done and that he would stay buried. Jimmy tells Joseph that Chandler was just the beginning and that he would hate it if something would happen to Grandma Jenny. Joseph then tells Jimmy that Grandma Jenny taught him to never lay his hands on another man, but in this case, he will make an exception. Joseph grabs Jimmy, but he is attacked from behind by Kongo Kong. Jimmy once demands that he get Abyss or else as Kongo Kong pummels Joseph in front of Grandma Jenny, then eventually pulls Kongo Kong off Joseph Park.

Backstage, "Reborn" Matt Sydal talks to his spiritual adviser, telling them that he has read their proclamation and that he will become a dual champion.

Tonight, the #1 contendership to the Impact World Championship is at stake, and he will meet Johnny Impact at the crossroads because the #1 contender will be the One Percenter.

Ethan Carter III confronts and shoves Tyrus for letting him down, and Tyrus shoves back harder before leaving EC3 high and dry. Johnny Impact is then able to hit Starship Pain to stay #1 contender for the Impact World Championship. After the match, Austin Aries shows up and shaks hands with Johnny Impact.

Final Impact - Impact Wrestling recap for February 1, 2018

We see footage of an unknown person entering the Impact Zone.

For the first time since the Manhattan Center shows in midtown Manhattan, New York from 2015, the ring is now four-sided again.

Before the next match, we hear from "Reborn" Matt Sydal, who says that everything has been falling into place ever since he won the Impact Grand Championship. He says he has a special spiritual advisor showing him the path, telling him that the universe will conspire in his favor when he sets out to do what he is born to do. This is why there is no longer judges deciding who wins the belt, and why it is all up to him whether or not he keeps the title.

"Reborn" Matt Sydal retains the Impact Grand Championship against Fallah Bahh. (From here on out, matches for the Impact Grand Championship have no rounds and no judges, and are now just regular wrestling matches.)

Caleb Konley talks with Trevor Lee backstage. Trevor says he may not have the X Division title, but he is best known for good hair, a rock hard body and being five steps ahead of everyone else. He may not have the championship anymore, but he has a lot in store for the two of them.

Lashley beats KM.

Joseph Park is on the phone with Grandma Jenny when Jimmy Jacobs and Kongo Kong shows up. Jacobs says what happened with Chandler Park did not need to go as far as it did, but he will go that far again until he gets a match between Kongo Kong and Abyss next week. Joseph Park insists that Abyss will never come back, but Jimmy Jacobs says he is a princess and that he always gets what he wants.

The Pluto TV Rewind of the week is Abyss drowning Christian Cage in a pool as Father James Mitchell tells Abyss to stop.

Lashley says for months, he has been figuring out what to do between wrestling and mixed martial arts, and says he will still focus on both and do whatever he wants. He then runs into Eddie Edwards before leaving.

Kiera Hogan beats Laurel Van Ness in her Impact debut. During the match, Allie shows up an distracts Laurel Van Ness, allowing Kiera Hogan to beat Van Ness in a non-title match with a backslide pin.

The mystery person is seen making his way into the Impact Zone.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Alberto El Patron and Ethan Carter III. El Patron says that he is making Impact something important and that he is the real champion. He says he does not have to prepare for anything, as he is going against Johnny Impact and Moose tonight. Ethan Carter III says the main event goes through him because he is a Carter and the company needs him. He says El Patron may be a former world champion with a famous last name, but no last name supersedes his. He tells El Patron to follow his lead so they can make their way to another world title, but El Patron tells EC3 to follow his. After an argument over who leaves first, EC3 and El Patron shake hands, then EC3 leaves first.

The Latin-American Xchange (Konnan, Santana, Ortiz, Homicide) appear for the first time since Barbed Wire Massacre III. Konnan celebrates LAX's victory in Barbed Wire Massacre III and tells Sami Callahan that if he wants peace, he had better prepare for war as LAX is always ready for a fight. oVe (Jake Crist, Dave Crist, Sami Callihan) - also making their first appearance since Barbed Wire Massacre III, also show up, and Callihan tells LAX they hate them as well as the fans because they hate everything, then says he would be lying if he didn't say that oVe respected them, as they have done it all. He then goes on to say that if their feud does not come to an end, someone will end up six feet under. He tells LAX they are taking back the tag team titles back before they take over everything. oVe then leaves, but as they do, Konnan says they rule over nothing and that LAX is the whole fish. Suddenly, Trevor Lee and Caleb Konley are seen coming out of the crowd and attacking Santana and Ortiz from behind with a Kendo stick and a metal pipe. They escape with the Puerto Rican before Konnan and Homicide get in the ring with a steel chair.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Moose and Johnny Impact. Moose says this is a new year and a new ring, but the same company, and that he and Johnny Impact are an all-star team. Johnny Impact says you can say a lot about Alberto El Patron and Ethan Carter III, but they are all-stars as they can go. He also has a special message for Alberto El Patron: tonight, they will take El Patron and EC3 to Slamtown.

The GWN Flashback Moment of the Week is Drew McIntyre vs. Ethan Carter III in an unsanctioned match.

Backstage, Eli Drake and Chris Adonis talk with each other. Eli Drake says he does not like surprises, but he wants to know who the special guest they have for The Facts of Life will be. Chris Adonis says this installment will be a look back at Eli's life called "The Facts Of Eli Drake's Life" and a celebration of Eli Drake retaining the Impact Global Championship. Eli Drake cannot wait to start the proceedings.

"The Machine" Brian Cage is coming to Impact!

Moose and Johnny Impact beat Alberto El Patron and Ethan Carter III. During the match, it is announced that the mystery person will be in the ring for "The Faces Of Eli Drake's Life," and that Kiera Hogan will get a Knockouts title shot next week against Laurel Van Ness.

Eli Drake and Chris Adonis show up for "The Facts Of Eli Drake's Life." The two of them celebrate Eli Drake's life with various video packages of Eli Drake's time as Impact Global Champion with Adonis calling Eli Drake the greatest champion, dresser and friend that ever lived. The third video is Chris Adonis wearing the turkey suit from last Thanksgiving, which irritates Adonis. Eli Drake tells Adonis that the cherry pie was delicious and that Adonis was the best-dressed man that night. Eli Drake then says he is the greatest champion, the best-dressed man, the best friend and the greatest man that ever lived, which means nobody can touch him. The last part proves deadly to Eli Drake, as Austin Aries makes a surprise return to Impact Wrestling for the first time since 2015. The crowd welcomes Aries back with a passion as he says "I missed you guys, too," before saying he could not help but hear Eli Drake call himself the greatest man that ever lived. He says that is impossible, because he is the greatest man that ever lived, not Eli Drake. He tells Eli and Adonis he has some facts for him: he is a six-time and longest reigning X Division Champion, a world tag team champion and a former Global Champion, all in this company, and while Eli Drake has been getting his clothes from the thrift store, he has gone all over the world. He then says they have never went face-to-face in the ring, and before Eli Drake can call himself the greatest man that ever live, he has to beat him first, and all Eli Drake has to do is name the time and place for the match. Eli Drake takes off his coat and scarf and tells Austin Aries he is the former champion while he is the one that matters, and says the best work he has done since leaving is at the commentary table. Eli Drake says he cannot stop being Eli Drake and being the champion, and if Aries wants to make the challenge right here and now, then...no. As Eli is about to leave, Austin Aries says Eli Drake "doesn't have a set of balls between his legs." Adonis suddenly attacks Aries from behind with the Global Championship, then Eli Drake calls for a referee. He pins Aries, but Aries kicks out at two, and Eli Drake argues with the referee. Aries fights back and knocks Adonis off the apron with a discus forearm before hitting Eli Drake with the brainbuster for thw win and to become the new Impact Global Champion in an impromptu match to end the show.

At Genesis, Laurel will defend the title against Allie. She says she is proud of Allie and how she has come so far, but if Allie wins the title, their alliance will not save her as she will be coming for the Impact Knockouts Championship. All of a sudden, a woman in black rushes into the ring and blindsides Rosemary, and the woman is soon identified on commentary by Jeremy Borash as Hania the Huntress. He says Adam Lambert came into Impact and disrespected the company, and Storm says he is the company and has been around since day one. He has given his life and everything he has had to the business and to Impact, and Impact has given him life and given him everything. He promises he will finish Lambert tonight and send him back to Florida, as Lambert has no idea who he is or what he does, as all he knows him for is wrestling when he also helps the young talent in the back. Taiji Ishimori will face Trevor Lee for the Impact Wrestling X Division Championship in three weeks.

Moose and "The Cowboy" James Storm show up. Moose says American Top Team is starting to piss him off, and Storm says AT&T is pissing him off too because his Internet is not working. After Moose reminds him that he is talking about American Top Team, he says he had Lashley beat in a one-on-one match until they jumped in, and that he had Lashley beat in a tag team match only for them to jump in again. When he had Lashley beat at Bound For Glory, they jumped in a third time. He now believes that Lashley can't beat him one-on-one, and says he should change his nickname from "Walking Armageddon" to "Bitch Boy Bobby." Lashley and Dan Lambert show up, and Lashley tells Moose to shut up, and says he will fight anybody at anytime, and Moose is not an exception. The crowd chants "Bitch Boy Bobby." Lashley tells Moose that if he wants to fight him, it will happen, but only on his terms and there is nothing he can do about it. Storm tells Dan Lambert he respects what American Top Team does, even if he does not like him, as they are one of the greatest camps in MMA, but when they come into professional wrestling and disrespect them, he has a problem, and now he is looking at "a big ol' bag of poo-poo." Every time Dan Lambert speaks, Storm calls it "poo-poo," and the crowd chants it. Storm then tells Dan Lambert he wants him one-on-one. Lambert says he cannot figure out why professional wrestling chose to pick a fight with MMA, and he will never figure out why American Top Team was singled out. Storm says he wants Lambert one-on-one so he can kick the shit out of him. Lambert says if he wants to prove himself against other sport, he should go down the street and slap the Ottawa Senators. He then says he had to stand on the ramp a few weeks ago and hear him go on and on about his love for pro wrestling and the fans as well as how he puts his body on thel ine and how he lives for the fans. He says it make sit want to puke, but he now sees this as an opportunity. He notes that Storm has been in the company since day one and has shown considerable staying power, and says this makes Storm the face of Impact Wrestling, which in turn makes him "the head of the snake." If he can cut the head, then Impact Wrestling can "no longer sell its snake oil." He says that if he wants to face him, he must put his career on the line, and if he loses, he has to leave Impact forever. Storm tells Dan Lambert he has a deal, but after he kicks his ass, he, Lashley and the rest of American Top Team can get out of his company. He then says the only thing he will hear for the rest of his life is "Sorry about your damn luck." Before he can finish that statement, however, Lambert spits in his face, and Lashley hits Moose with a cheap shot. As Lambert directs traffic, Storm threatens to hit him with the Last Call Superkick. Suddenly, KM gets in the ring, but he falls victim to the Last Call after a brief brawl. Storm then finishes his statement after Lambert retreats.

He tells him he is ignorant and oblivious to that. Callihan says he's head enough and says there is a new kid in town, but Konnan says he has something he wants: the tag team titles, as he is losing a lot of money. Konnan wants a tag team title match. Callihan accepts, but on the condition that if the Latin-American Xchange loses, they have to leave Impact. Konnan tells him that if he reneges on this deal, he will screw up his entire life and those of everyone he knows and he will be so toxic that they would work with very trashy celebrities before they ever work with him again. He then tells him this is business, not personal. They shake hands, then Callihan throws a fireball at Konnan's eyes, blinding him. Callihan then tells him "Now it's personal, bitch!"

From Defy Wrestling in Seattle, Washington, Sami Callihan beats Randy Myers.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Alberto El Patron. El Patron says Johnny Impact cannot fight like a man and that he is a little kid. At Bound For Glory, he broke his arm and his spirit and saw Johnny's mom crying in the front row. He is back in Impact Wrestling to destroy, and he is going to start with Johnny Impact. He has already wiped him all over the ring once, and tonight, he will do it again and there is nothing anybody in the office can do to stop him. Afterwards, KM is seen attacking a production assistant. He kicks another man in the gut before ramming him into the production truck as part of proving himself to American Top Team.

KM tries to get the attention of Dan Lambert and American Top Team before the next match, but to no avail, with Lambert saying "I have a cowboy to take care of."

"The Cowboy" James Storm beats Texano with a Last Call Superkick after Texano takes Storm's hat, puts it on and calls himself a real cowboy. Storm puts the hat on during the pinfall. After the match, Storm is attacked by American Top Team as he makes his way backstage. Storm fights back briefly, but Storm falls victim to a running powerslam from Lashley. Suddenly, Moose runs in with a steel chair, and one members of American Top Team gets nailed with it. Dan Lambert then says the sad truth about the circus is that once you get past the novelty of the clowns and the bearded lady, it gets old quickly. He says Impact Wrestling is no different, and if you lie with dogs long enough, you will eventually get fleas. He is out of bug spray, and this must end next week by taking Storm and Moose out simultaneous and sending the Candian "Eskimos" back to their igloos where they belong. Next week, he will break out the big guns as Storm and Moose take on Lashley and American Top Team's secret weapon: himself.

The Pluto TV rewind of the week is Rhyno Goring Abyss through a metal wall.

We look back at Kurt Angle's debut against Samoa Joe at Genesis 2006 in the GWN Flashback Moment of the Week.

Mackenzie Mitchell interviews Johnny Impact, whose arm is not at 100%. However, it is good enough to get the job done. Since Bound For Glory, all he has had on his mind is Alberto El Patron. He knew he was crazy and reckless, but he did not realize how delusional he is. He says that he doesn't run the place, but he has personal problems and his biggest problem is him, and that this is now about just the two of them and El Patron getting what is coming to him. Tonight, he is taking Alberto El Patron to Slamtown.

We hear from Eli Drake and Chris Adonis. Drake says Alberto El Patron vs. Johnny Impact is tonight, and he will be watching tonight. He has not forgotten about the five stitches El Patron gave him or about Johnny Impact. He will be watching closely and two hot tickets waiting for them to punch. He then meets Jimmy Jacobs as he and Adonis make their way out.

During the match, the ref is down when Alberto El Patron drags the referee away while dodging a top rope elbow from Johnny Impact, and takes the opportunity to hit Johnny with a low blow afterwards. El Patron revives the ref, then hits a DDT, but only gets a two-count. Later on in the match, El Patron takes the tap around Johnny's left elbow and tries to shove it in his mouth as he has him in the tree of woe position before going for the double stomp. All of a sudden, Eli Drake shows up and distracts Alberto El Patron, and El Patron knocks him down with a right hand before hitting him with the Impact Wrestling Global Championship. When El Patron gets back on the apron, Johnny pulls him back into the ring from the tree of woe position and hits Starship Pain for the win. After the match, Eli Drake decks El Patron with the Global Championship before pounding away on Johnny Impact, as does Chris Adonis, who also runs in. Suddenly, Petey Williams shows up from out of the crowd, and he takes Eli Drake out with a Codebreaker before hitting hitting Adonis with a tope suicida. He runs in to the ring and into a Gravy Train, but Johnny stops it with a superkick before Petey Williams hits Eli Drake with a Canadian Destroyer to end the show.
